Dragon-type ask game
It's been a while since my last ask game, I'm sure you were all just as eager for the next one as I am. As always, please feel free to ask me any of these questions.
Dratini/Dragonair/Dragonite - What's the rarest Pokemon you've ever seen?
Kingdra - In what ways do you feel you are superior to others? (Be honest!)
Vibrava/Flygon - Do you consider yourself to have a good singing voice? Or at least a decent one?
Altaria - Do you enjoy cloud-gazing?
Bagon/Shelgon/Salamence - Name one key event in your life that helped you "come out of your shell", so to speak, and shaped you as a person.
Latias/Latios - Do you ever wish you could move somewhere where you could be well and truly alone, or does the very idea unsettle you?
Rayquaza - How often do you go flying?
Gible/Gabite/Garchomp - If people find you intimidating, how warranted is that? If people find you otherwise, are they right to?
Dialga/Palkia/Giratina - Any myths/legends that particularly captivate you?
Axew/Fraxure/Haxorus - Are you naturally an irritable sort of person?
Druddigon - What is your worst bad habit?
Deino/Zweilous/Hydreigon - Do you ever get mistaken to be another person's sibling? If so, who is it?
Reshiram/Zekrom/Kyurem - What are your thoughts on the idea of Pokemon fusion? Is it ethical or not?
Dragalge - Do you like the ocean?
Tyrunt/Tyrantrum - Would anyone ever dare refer to you as "spoiled?"
Goomy/Sliggoo/Goodra - Are you more of a lover than a fighter?
Noibat/Noivern - How interested are you in music?
Zygarde - How far would you go for the sake of protecting the planet?
Turtonator/Drampa - When you get angry, are you prone to destroying/damaging things?
Jangmo-o/Hakamo-o/Kommo-o - Do you consider honor to be a major factor in your life?
Guzzlord - Are you a big eater?
Poipole/Naganedel - Have you ever considered medicine as a career choice?
Applin/Flapple/Appletun - What's your favorite dessert?
Dracozolt/Dracovish - Worst mistake you've ever mad? (As bad as you're comfortable sharing.)
Dreepy/Drakloak/Dragapult - Are you at all interested in archaeology?
Eternatus - What does the idea of "eternity" mean to you?
Regidrago - One project, idea, goal, or other passion you left unfinished, for whatever reason.
Cyclizar - Favorite mode of transporation?
Tatsugiri - Would your friends call you a sneaky sort of person?
Frigibax/Arctibax/Baxcalibur - When were you the most underwhelmed?
Roaring Moon - Most violent wild Pokemon you've ever encountered?
Koraidon/Miraidon - What's something in your past you look back on fondly/something coming up in your future that you anticipate?
Walking Wake - If you had the ability to walk on water, what would you do with it?
Archaludon - Ever helped to build something with your own two hands? How did it make you feel?
Dipplin/Hydrapple - Are you good at working within a team?
Gouging Fire - Is defense or offense more important to you?
Raging Bolt - Have you ever been made fun of your height, or lack thereof?

@askthehoenngods Kyurem @ Poni: He knew of the legend of the small being that held the power of special masks. This creature seemed to be that Pokemon, though this one seemed to be a bit different from what he knew. "The Legend of Masks," he spoke to her, "I've heard of you from where I've been. Do you have other masks that you use, or have you not found them yet?"
Pon: Wow... a lot of people want to know more about my masks...
Shin: I mean they are what most people know ogerpons for.
Pon: I guess so. To answer everyone's main question, no I didn't make these masks. Shinji and an old friend of mine made them.
The ogre gestures to her belt, which holds five masks.
I have five in total. My old friend made four: my Teal, Cornerstone, Hearthflame, and Wellspring masks. He's...not here anymore...Shinji managed to find and decipher the instructions to make more and created what I call the Dragonhorn Mask which gives me a dragon typing.
Poni holds up a mask resembling a dragon's face.
According to Shinji my personality also changes when I put on my masks.
Shin: It does. With some...interesting...side effects..

Pokemon Au: Does Jaune remember Keldeo and the promise. Does remember the Kyurem dreams? Imagine if he got Ptsd from Weiss freezing a grimm because Kyurem has the same color eyes as the grimm.
"Mr. Arc?"
"Huh, what?"
"Class is over, Mr. Arc,"
"Oh, I-"
"Class has been over, Mr. Arc," the doctor said, sipping from his mug, "is there something on your mind?"
"Uh..." Jaune scratched his cheek. "Kind of? I was just thinking about the legend in today's lesson. Something about it just... stuck with me."
"You mean the story of the Swords of Justice of Unova?"
"Yeah." Jaune shut the book in front of him. "Something about the four of them seemed to... I dunno, put me in a funk."
"Four? The textbook only mentions three, Mr. Arc."
"Oh!" Jaune furrowed his brow.
"You might have mistaken them from a story from another region, one where there were indeed four mentioned."
"Why wasn't there four mentioned in this textbook?"
"Why, indeed?" He sipped from his coffee.
"...This is a homework assignment, isn't it?"
"Excellent idea, Mr. Arc! I'm glad you thought of it." With that, the doctor turned away and swiftly returned to his desk.

Pokemon Byzantine AU: It's kinda sounds weird and nonsense but I would like to see the battle between Past and Future Paradox Pokemon. Also, the Raidons forcing to choose one of them. If you choose Koraidon, then you've Miraidon boss battle but if you choose Miraidon, then it'll be Koraidon.
Oooo!! I'm so glad I got an ask about this!!! Your idea is genuinely really good anon, but I do have my own idea!! Now I have an excuse to infodump about the professors and Raidons lmaooo-
Note that like I mentioned before, this AU is fairly new and I haven't fleshed all of it out yet so there's bound to be plotholes lmao
So in Byzantine, Sada and Turo worked together during the expedition and both worked on the time machine, making it able to get Pokémon from the past and the future (this would mean you can catch both past and future Paradox Pokémon in the game) including the Miraidons and Koraidons.
I assume most of the story goes the same, the professors move to Area Zero and neglect Arven and they develop AIs of themselves ect... except one plot point is sliiiightly changed and I'm so excited to talk about thisss
So as Emerald has Rayquaza and Platinum has Giratina, Byzantine also has a box Legendary!!! As Koraidon is past and Miraidon is future, it would make sense for the third legendary to be 'present' - How I aim to show this I don't know yet. But Cycalizer is the ""present"" Raidon and that's certainly not a legendary!
Hehe
So, you know how gen 5 has Black and White Kyurem and Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon has Dawn Wings and Dusk Mane Necrozma? Take that, but remove the need for a third legendary. BOOM! Box legend.
I don't exactly know how to properly implement this into the story yet, perhaps one of the professors thought of the idea of fusing them and created a device to help with that - perhaps they created a second one for the other professor so they didn't have to use the same one (for convenience's sake) and you find that one in one of the Research Areas?
Either way, I imagine the Professors were killed by this fusion when they fused the aggressive Raidons, either keeping to the original story of the Raidons getting into a fight & the profs getting in the way of this or the Raidon fusion becoming aggressive once fused.
This leads up to the ending where you have a double battle against the AIs with their Paradox mons (because suffer i guess?) and once they lose, the Paradise Protection Protocol(s) fuse the aggro Raidons, which causes yours to do the same
this also technically means yes you can get two miraidons and two koraidons aka four raidons.
I don't have a design for it yet as I'm not really sure what I want it to look like yet, hell I don't even know what type it should be. Might try and do some edits to start off with, but yea!!!

I think what many Pokemon Legends game ideas get wrong, i think at least, is using a legendary for the name of the game, like "Legends kyurem" or "Legends Zygarde". Many times people use the third legendary of the main three for the title, but Giratina wasn't the one to get a Legends game, in fact it would have made more sense to have a Legends Giratina as a parallel to platinum, since it released with the Sinnoh remakes.
The one who got the spotlight was another important, but not heavily featured pokemon, Arceus, a mythical pokemon. So I think there's a higher chance for the next Legends game to feature a mythical with predominance. In Legends Arceus there was also many mythicals that we could catch without needing special events, making them more acessible, so maybe the Legends series will in general make mythicals more acessible?
I was thinking of a Kalos Legends game and I think Pokemon Legends Hoopa would be the best choice, it can teleport you back in time with it's rings, without the need for Arceus intervention. In ORAS because of Hoopa's rings we can catch legendaries from other regions and their themes aren't updated because they're supposed to be from the older games' timelines, this happens in USUM too, so I believe Hoopa is too interesting to not use.
Diancie and Volcanion should also appear, Volcanion has so little lore, the most interesting thing it has is the fact that in the southern part of the Kalos region, Volcanion is revered, people believe that a steam explosion caused by Volcanion created the plain where they live. This probably references the region of Occitania, the mountainous region that covers most of southern France and whose regional flag Volcanion takes its design from, which is really cool.
Diancie could also be integrated in the plot, maybe instead of her needing to make a new Diamond Heart for the Diamond Domain, the very first Diamond Heart could be made, or Diancie can be born, either works. Diancie is said to have been born from a Carbink that had undergone a mysterious mutation, the mutation could be related to the main story somehow.
In fact, I thought about a villain that wants to make everyone immortal, thinking it will create a Utopia, their plan will fail but create consequences in the region. Since Xerneas/Yveltal wake up every thousand years, I imagined the story would take place one thousand years before the events of X and Y, and the region would be medieval themed.
For Unova, it has no mythical with reality bending abilities and I sadly can't imagine anything except a Legends Kyurem, how is Victini, Meloetta or Keldeo going to hold an entire game like Arceus did? Genesect wasn't even created until recent events in the Pokemon world.
Because each mythical of Unova has a piece of history, it's hard to choose just one, they complete each other in a way
Some people speculutate on Johto remakes because of the many hints towards johto relevancy, and I think the Mythical main pokemon theory fits for Johto! Legends Celebi could work
I hope someone sees this theory and uses it for imagining new pokemon stuff or coming up with a Unova Legends game since I couldn't. I think a medieval, victorian, or early to middle 20th century Unova game would be really good, specially because if it were to be medieval, it could make kinda what Arceus made with Team Galactic and make Team Plasma into real knights, the Unova region has lots of medieval stuff and I think it's even better than Kalos for a medieval game

**This is my personal opinion**
As everyone knows, Pokemon BW has different content from past generations. The main characters Touya(Hilbert) and Touko(Hilda) are children who have grown up to be about 16-18 years old. When compared to the characters from generations 1-4, their ages will be About 10-13 years, Interesting game content, very good soundtrack. rival characters Cheren and Bel(Bianca) N (he is in every position in the game) have good character development. gym leaders are starting to play a bigger role, as well as the ending scene, making it a great game and a memorable one for top in many people's hearts.
I think the game won't remake BW any time soon because they brought a lot of Pokemon BW into the game and a lot of Pokemon SV. It seems too deliberate. But if game freak will make legend like PLA before remake BW, I think it's very worth doing.
remake BW , I can always wait, 1 year, 2 years, 10 years, many years, I can always wait.
If really remake BW, please really remake it. Don't remake it like BDSP. If you remake it like that, don't do it because I'm very disappointed :(
I don't remember many details (I haven't played in a long time). But I really like the story. During the 4th and 5th gens, the development team seemed very intent on making games.
BW says that there is a legend of Unova, two heroes are brothers, older brother chooses the truth. younger brother chooses ideals
Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, these 3 Pokemon were once the same thing (Pokedex says that Kyurem eats humans, but I don't know if it really does…)
BW2 says that Touya(Hilbert) and Touko(Hilda) disappeared for 2 years. Where did they go? because they was looking for N or were they transported to another dimension? like Teru(Rei) and Shou(Akari). The theory is that these 2 people might actually be Kouki(Lucas) and Hikari(Dawn).
Nobori(Ingo) is sent to Hisui. So where did Kudari(Emmet) go? is he in Unova or was he sent to another dimension like Nobori(Ingo)?
I keep thinking There are many suspicious things. game freak to solve the problem!!! I want to know!!!

@askthehoenngods Kyurem @ Titan:
"Regigigas." Kyurem knew exactly who one of the legends was. He was familiar with the same Pokémon that very occasionally showed themselves where Ky and Don lived. The scent of plants, normalcy and the hidden, deep strength that this species held was unmistakable.
Their companion, however? Kyurem wasn't so sure about. He nodded to them, however.
"So. Are you the original one who pulled the continents into place?" He asked, "or are you a descendent?"
(very long post ahead, this is one of THOSE questions)

*Echo frowned, crossing her arms as she looked up at the sign.*
"Not a clue about where any of these places are." *She mutters, glancing over at Ingo and Emmet.* "I only really know of Nimbasa because of, well, the Subway. You guys are a big deal for those of us invested in non-gym battle facilities."
*She scowls at the mention of the new problamatic team.*
"Sounds like a pain and a half. I'm pretty certain where I come from there's nothing...like that." *She frowns, before looking over at Ghost.*
"Can you remember where you came from? Like if someone asked you where you live, could you answer? I can't."
The twins' brows furrowed in contemplation when Echo mentioned that she did not know of the locations posted on the signs. Ingo was the first to speak since Emmet had begun pacing back in forth during their thinking. "Hmm. You don't recognize anything?" Ingo repeated, mostly for himself.
"Oh, yeah, Team Masquerade is what they're called. The old group, Team Plasma, captured Kyurem a few years ago," Emmet said, though only as a reminder. They already said that. "I am Emmet. I hope they don't try to repeat the past. I heard they honor the Original Dragon."
"Kyurem, my friend, is the third of the draconic trio," Ingo began.
"Legend has it, there used to be a singular dragon that protected Unova. It was known as the Original Dragon, though nobody knew its actual name. It followed twin brothers, both who were kings, many years in the past."
"The brothers disagreed on how they should rule!" Emmet piped in and suddenly stopped pacing. They whirled around and their trench coat snapped through the air from the swift, sudden movement. "Truth and Ideals. That was what they fought over."
"Both are important! They didn't agree with each other, and war broke out between them. In the midst of the war, the Original Dragon broke apart into three separate beings: Reshiram, the Dragon of Truth, and Zekrom, the Dragon of Ideals. As legends have it, Kyurem is what remained- the shell of what once was. It is made of pure draconic energy, and its body is covered in harsh, freezing ice. It had the ability to freeze everything in its wake," Ingo explained and his face subtly twisted into a look of remembrance. "It did that, once, to Opelucid City because Team Plasma controlled it. Years after the attack, the ice was finally broken away and removed. It took years, I repeat! That shows its raw, unbridled power."
"Team Masquerade has been reported mentioning the Original Dragon once or twice before. You can see why I'm worried, yes?" Emmet asked with their smile curving ever-so-slightly. It didn't break, but it wasn't as wide as before. "Kyurem can fuse with either Reshiram or Zekrom at a time. There's the possibility it can fuse with both. No one has been able to achieve it. I hope that this team doesn't."

Kyurem (normal human form): It didn't matter where he went - wherever he tread, Kyurem always brought the frost right along with him. And a desert was no different. The sky turned white, and the temperature dropped rapidly. Ice crystals began to form with each step he took towards the corrupted legend.
"Not a fan of the heat," he remarked, and folded his arms before stopping a short distance away, the ice still spreading from his feet, "also, wow." He blinked, and his vision shifted, reading an intense, very dark aura from the other Legendary Pokemon. Kyurem's eyes narrowed, "you literally REEK of dark energy. Shadow force. Whatever you wanna call it. The fuck happened to you?"
"So why don't you get lost, old man."

...people are weird about lacunosa town.
they think the people who live there are all, like— superstitious assholes who hate anything we don't understand and chase away anything weird. and i don't get it.
i guess... a lot of people there are a bit old-fashioned... but old-fashioned people live everywhere. people aren't nearly so weird about opelucid city, and that place is the epitome of old-fashioned...
a lot of people don't even believe that old legend anymore, but even if they did i would get it... first of all— kyurem is real— and secondly i also am afraid of the giant death hole near lacunosa town.
but like, it would cost more money than it's worth to take down the walls around the place, and no one's really interested in repealing the laws about being out at night because we've kind of built lacunosan life around it.
(also people aren't really punished for going out at night these days anyway. you kind of just have nowhere else to be at night but home or the pokemon center because nowhere else is open.)
uh— i don't... really know where i'm going with this. just, um... be normal about lacunosa town because the people who live there are normal people. except for me i'm not normal. but i guess that's why i don't live there anymore. that's a joke. cheers.

I told myself to hold this in Until I finished the transformation sequence (which is fully sketched out it just needs to be cleaned up, its not fully animated but its real :D) but unfortunately I love Precure and Magical girls and @fourphoenixfeathers AU has transfixed me so your getting AU Thoughts: -Emmet and Ingo are a duo transformation ala Nagisa and Honaka. They cannot transform without each other and transforming involves them holding hands.
(Look Emmet and Ingo are literally black and white and it's also the Precure Anniversary. I need to reference the OGs)
-How Precure work in this universe is basically me mashing what I've heard about Happiness Charge (haven't watched it yet but have heard about its setting) into the pokemon world. So there's International Precure and they help the legendaries out but they aren't given powers by Them. In my head I reasoned that Precure just...seem out of Arceus jurisdiction so there is now Something Else giving people Precure powers. But legendaries can call on Precure if they need some help. That's what Kyurem did for Emmet and Ingo (and then later what Arceus did just without properly asking)
-While Emmet and Ingo are a bit outside the usual age range there not the only adult Precure. I haven't really thought of who else would be one except like...N. (he's 20) I'll think about it a bit more but the point is Anyone can be a Precure.
-Emmet and Ingo first became Cures around the start of BW2, they help out with Kyurem and the Dna splicer situation. Before that the plot of BW was mostly handled by Hilda, Bianca, Cheren and then the Midseason Cure N. There still here but Emmet and Ingo being there lightens the load a lot so it goes a bit smoother...Kyurem fusion still happens though! Both Dragons get fused! It Does Not Go Well! They fix it but that involves a secret special mode I haven't drawn yet (for people who know what Infinity Silhouette is, its that, but Emmet and Ingo get a weaker version of it in the middle of the season, it's there power up :D)
-Legends Arceus however is mainly dealt by Ingo and Emmet until midseason cure stuff happens. They go together because of the aforementioned Duo Situation. I imagine its possible to force them into a situation where they are forced to transform alone. However their Cure forms would probably destabilize and be a lot weaker than it would be if they were together.
-It's simply just not worth it unless you want to purposefully weaken them and and even then an unstable Cure is a bit of a risky situation. If Ingo was amensia-ed in this AU it would be Bad for Everyone.
-Cures overall have a pretty tight-knit community, usually there all really busy but if there in the area/its a really bad situation they'll help out.
-Pokemon can become Cures in the same way Fairies can become Cures. There's not a lot of them but there around. I'm mentioning this because i have plans for other regions (most notably Galar and...if Ash Ketchum ever gets brought in, Kanto.)
-A not insignificant amount of the Nimbasa City population has connected the dots between Emmet and Ingo and Cure Truth and Cure Ideal. It's an unsaid agreement to not say anything, they did however freak out when they found out that they existed in Hisui.
On another thing that's not in-universe AU content:
I love magical girls, so of course when I heard this AU my brain started to think about why Ingo and Emmet work really well as magical girls. Because they really do! I think it's mostly because both of them in there game dialogue are just really sincere and don't hold anything back. The sincerity and earnestness of there personality lends itself well to magical girls to me. I have more thoughts on that but I'm tired, but yeah my point is they work well together.

Scorched Earth
cw: fluff, a bit of character building for dragon au, reshiram Emmet, dragon au,
pairing: Emmet x Reader
The Reshiram hybrid was always warm.
It was simply in his nature to always irradiate some heat, even if he was as cold-blooded as any other dragon type.
Which is why you laid pressed into his chest. His arm was around you tightly alongside his wings. The heat he gave off was always at its best in Unova's frigid winters. Snow had since piled up outside again, giving the region a soft cloudy appearance. It was beautiful but annoying.
Though, giving it some thought, you pondered the colour pairing with Emmet's own white feathers. While his flames burned a bright yellows and oranges, the rest of him remained soft, gentle cloud in tone. You would imagine how easily he could disappear into the clouds should he take on his proper Reshiram form. Closing your eyes for a moment, you tried to recall legends about the dragon.
He was one who helped those pursue truth and known for his terrifying flames.
You even recalled a legend from Galar about how Reshiram would burn down kingdoms consumed by greed and ignorance to truth. When you gazed at the man beside you, it felt impossible to imagine. He always wore a smile and spoke so gently yet bluntly in comparison to his older brother. While he clearly disliked being lied to, always able to know if someone was, he never was overly aggressive about it.
Still, he was a legendary hybrid, and they were not exactly known for being the most kind beings in the world. They had their duties and roles to attend to. Even though he and Ingo had taken to living more human-like lives than their counterparts, they clearly took their jobs as Reshiram and Zekrom seriously. It only made sense with their previous shared existence as the pokemon Kyurem.
You remembered reading about a certain king from the region of Paldea and wondered about what his opinion on him truly was.
“… It's been how many centuries since you stopped being Kyurem?” you asked him curiously.
“… Mmm, a long time,” he responded with a yawn, clearly having been pulled from just falling to a slumber, “Are you curious about my troubled past now, heehee?” A giggle followed, of course, but his eyes were now alight with intrigue about your unexpected question.
“Like… Say, two thousand years ago?” you asked him. He blinked.
“Mmm… Exactly two thousand? I had separated from Kyurem, and Ingo and I were…” his eyes darted to stare at the wall, “We were busy.” You felt like he was holding back information, but it felt unrelated to what you were pursuing. It was something that you would come back to later.
“… Do you know about the king of Paldea?” you asked him. He actually tensed up at your words. It seemed he did then. You also recalled that Zekrom would scorch lands that let go of righteousness.
“… Distantly,” Emmet replied, “I was verrrrry busy in Unova, but I did make a visit to those lands.” There was that word busy again.
“Did you and Ingo scorch Paldea for turning to greed and corruption?” This time, he let out a sigh. Sitting up, you watched him pout at you.
“… Somewhat…” he answered this time. You knew it. With wide eyes, you felt stunned.
“Wow, you guys did actually do your legendary duties at one point!” you gasped. Emmet's face shifted to offence.
“We still do!!!” he whined, “It's just peaceful now! There is no reason for us to intervene.” You laughed at his reaction. They probably still had jobs to do, yes, but they spent most of their time directing the Unovan subway system. You think they took that job more seriously than they probably did running Unova if you recalled the history of the region correctly. His pout was getting to you, though, so you gave a soft peck to his cheek for answering all of your questions.
Another whine came from him as he fluttered his wings a few times. You were pulled into his lap, where he nuzzled his face into your nape with a hum. More heat came from him as you realised just how cold it was out from under the covers. It was always nice to talk to the twins about their existences as legendary pokemon, but they obviously preferred you to view them as the funny train men in the Gear Station.
It was obvious that Emmet enjoyed the reputation of being Reshiram, but he would rather someone talk to him about his massive Joltik collection rather than how he once governed over Unova with his brother. Pokemon battling tactics were a better choice than how it felt to once be a Kyurem thousands of years ago. Your curiosity remained strong about their past, even when they mentioned how you were the mate of Emin, their name Kyurem. A sigh came from him.
“I'm not some terrifying dragon god all the time,” he told you, “Today. I am Emmet, and I am your cuddly boyfriend.” You could not disagree with that. Pressing your back closer to him, you linked your fingers with his and smiled at him.
“You are both a giant terrifying dragon god and my cuddly boyfriend,” you joked, “And enjoy both very much.” A loving peck to his lips ended the conversation as you both took to watching the snow pile up from outside your window.
Emmet felt a pit in his stomach, still.
He knew you would one day ask about the past with him and Ingo.
It was still a thing they wished to keep from you because of the shame that lingered from it.

I just found this in my drafts and I don’t remember writing it or where exactly I was going with it, but hey! Have some random Gardenshipping thoughts!
(cw: none. one minor suggestive mention of office stuff. under cut for length)
For all the silverfox!Emmet x Reina stuff I’ve thought of, for some reason I’ve never thought of Reshiram!Emmet x Reina before? So...
🔥 I imagine Emmet is an aspect of Reshiram - not the god-dragon in full, but a piece of it. He’s probably reincarnated several hundred times by now, as the mortal aspect of Truth, and has memories of all his previous mortal incarnations as well as Reshiram’s memories and probably even a good chunk of Kyurem’s. The man is A Mess™️, especially after Ingo, his twin, his brother, his other half (platonic, don’t make it weird), vanishes. After all, what is Truth without Ideals to give it purpose?
🔥 That’s why, when he meets Reina and she becomes his personal assistant at Gear Station, he gravitates towards her. Just like in Gardenshipping canon, he starts to fall for her because of her genuinely kind and caring nature; she also has no idea he’s a piece of a fucking god, so she just treats him like a normal person. Not a celebrity trainer, not a deity, just. As Emmet. And he soaks it up like a man dying of thirst. Here’s this beautiful young woman who truly doesn’t care what or who he is, she just wants to make sure he’s eating and sleeping and taking care of himself. How can he not be intrigued by her?
🔥 He can also smell dishonesty a mile away and he can tell Reina is just actually that good of a person. Sure, she lies about her living situation (she doesn’t tell him that she’s unhoused for the longest time), but I’d imagine Emmet can also tell the intent of a falsehood, so he probably picks up on the fact that any lie she tells is born from the need to survive, rather than malice or the desire to mislead. She isn’t hurting anyone - she just wants to keep her misfortunes private, and Emmet can... sooooort of understand that? (He might not like it, it makes him worry about her, but in the end it really only affects Reina herself, which makes Emmet bound and determined to get to the bottom of her problems and help her in any way he can. The man is SMITTEN.)
🍃 On Reina’s side, I honestly don’t think she’s all that religious; Reina is from Kanto originally, and she has a lot of internalized stuff from the local belief system (i.e. she’ll say things like “Legends” or “Birds” in place of “Arceus” or “Dragons”). She’ll probably still have a subconscious desire to believe in something, but she doesn’t actively practice anything. Also, having only been in Unova for a couple of years at most, she might not really understand the region’s religion all that much. She probably doesn’t really think about it - which. Valid.
🍃 That being said, she would probably not know how to handle being face to face with a literal piece of a deity. For starters, her entire worldview would be - at the very least - a little bit shaken. After all, if you go from nearly thirty years of disillusionment and not fully believing in anything because you’ve been through absolute hell, to suddenly finding out the man you’re in love with (and who’s been railing you over his desk every day) is the Incarnation of Truth, you miiiiiight need a moment to process.
🍃 (That last part, especially, because how on earth do you reconcile the fact that you’ve had an actual god between your legs?)
🍃 Reina already has hella self worth issues, so to find out that her boyfriend isn’t even human, she might not handle it well for a while. In her eyes, what could a god possibly see in a lowly human like her? She still loves him, that part will never change, but she’ll have to take some time to try and reorient before she can even work up the courage to go near him again.
🔥 Emmet, in the meantime, is going to be utterly distraught. He’ll put on his trademark Subway Master Emmet smile, but it’ll be hanging on with a hope and a wish, because he is not doing okay knowing that the love of his life might be terrified of him now. He can’t lie, no, but he’s gotten really, really good at talking around the truth after countless lifetimes, so anyone that asks how he’s doing is getting a series of non-answers until he can slip away. Reina makes him feel normal, human almost, which is something he’s never fully gotten to experience - because while he might be a shard of a Dragon, he’s still somewhat his own entity, since he’s, you know, actually out in the world of man and not sitting dormant in a rock somewhere. He’s constantly torn between two halves of his own existence, and the thing that made it bearable all this time was his twin; with Ingo gone, however, Emmet has been feeling the extra weight of responsibility around his shoulders like a yolk for damn near a decade.
🔥 Until Reina.
🔥 (Like in regular Gardenshipping canon, one of the reasons Emmet falls for Reina is because she just treats him like a person. Doesn’t fawn, doesn’t get close to him just to challenge him, doesn’t pity him; just sits with him and lets him be a regular guy.)
🔥 I’m also imagining the way Reina even finds out Emmet is one of the God Dragons of Unova is uhhhhhhh not the most pleasant of circumstances. Probably Team Plasma, but I’m picturing there being some sort of siege on Gear Station or an attack somewhere that requires Reshiram’s attention, and somehow, someway, Reina winds up witnessing Emmet with his more draconian features and spewing ethereal fire. Get that sweet, sweet ‘oh shit’ moment with Emmet turning around, eyes slitted and glowing, claws out, wings sprouting from his back, fire still trickling from between fangs too big for a human mouth, only to see Reina standing there, completely frozen, just staring at him.
🔥 The follow-up conversation is gonna be... a lot.
🍃 I feel like it’ll take about a week or so for her to be able to talk to him again

On the Legendary Dragons of Unova
(The following is a transcript of Dr. Kaede's lecture on Friday of the 2023 Dragon Specialist Conference.)
The legendary dragons of Unova are a well-known story. However, prior to the events of 2012 here in Opelucid, only the two were known- Reshiram and Zekrom. Kyurem was an obscurity in lore at best, with none who seriously believed in its existence.
Here in this lecture, I intend to cover three primary points- The nature and life cycle of the Original Dragon, Kyurem's classification as a Pokemon, and most importantly, what should ethically be done with Kyurem in the future.
First of all, the Original Dragon.
There are two legends that speak of Zekrom and Reshiram's origins. The first, the most well-known, states that once, there was a single dragon thousands of years ago. It bonded to a pair of brothers, known now only as the Heroes of Truth and Ideals. However, as those brothers could not agree on what was important in life, the dragon split itself in two, with one dragon bonded to each brother, while leftover remains became Kyurem. However, despite their fighting, the two were evenly matched, and no conclusion was able to be reached. With this, the brothers reconciled, until their sons instead waged war to destroy Unova.
The alternative theory tells solely of Kyurem. That thousands of years ago, a great meteor fell from the heavens, theorized to be the same manner of stone Zekrom and Reshiram have been sealed in in the past before. Following that, the stone became Kyurem.
It has been suggested in the past by Mayor Drayden that these two legends may not be contradictory at all. First, the stone fell, and became the Original Dragon. Then, the Original Dragon bonded with the heroes. Splitting, it became Reshiram and Zekrom, and what was left became Kyurem.
If we accept this hypothesis as truth, for the purpose of this lecture, it paints a new picture, bringing to mind a whole new understanding of life itself. It is my belief that the Original Dragon is an extraterrestrial life form whose reproductive cycle involves scattering its offspring to various planets.
If we assume that the original part of the Original Dragon's life cycle went as planned, we can assume it would go something like this:
First, an Original Dragon offspring takes its stone form for travel through space. In this form, it is resilient enough to withstand atmospheric re-entry, but its needs for sustenance or energy are similarly lowered enough that it can continue indefinitely until it finds its way to a planet. Once caught in a planet's gravity, it lands there, in order to feed and reproduce.
The Original Dragon then made contact with life native to the planet on which it lands. It then splits into two forms, which then compete with each other, to determine the form most suitable to live on its new habitat. The two split dragons, leaving behind the empty husk of the original, then fight.
This is where I believe things went awry in our examples of the normal life cycle. On our world, the two dragons met with a draw, unable to prove one or the other as superior, and thus more suited to life in this habitat. However, what if that had not happened? If, as I believe was the original goal, one dragon had triumphed?
Kyurem has a special ability called Absofusion, where it can absorb one of the two Dragons it originally created. However, it can only absorb one. A special item called the DNA Splicers are capable of artificially inducing this state... but an item shouldn't be necessary to induce this naturally.
My hypothesis is that this is the method of its adaptation- First, it splits into two dragons, leaving behind a 'main' body. Second, the two dragons fight, until one remains. The unsuited one perishes, and once one of them is dead, a signal is sent to Kyurem, prompting it to re-absorb the victorious dragon- Thus, the Original Dragon now has adapted into a new form well-suited to dominating its environment in the new planet it has landed on.
As a new apex life form on its planet, it then absorbs and eats as much as it can, before it gives birth to a new life, a new version of its adapted form. Then, that new, infant life is then launched into space in its stone form, to repeat the cycle.
I have here Reshiram, lent to me by the Trainer who it chose almost thirteen years ago. Though we cannot speak, exactly, I was able to somewhat communicate via a Rotom's translation through a phone. Reshiram, by its own admission, has only the vaguest memories of that time. It is my belief that originally, the Dragons were not meant to have egos or wills of their own beyond their initial directive to clash. However, they awakened to their own wills through simply the sheer amount of time they have existed as independent entities. As you can see, Reshiram has clear intelligence and understanding, as befitting of the Dragon who embodies Truth.
Though Reshiram cannot confirm my hypothesis, its own emotional reactions lend credence- It has an inherent dislike of Kyurem, knowing of its potential absorption.
Having covered my hypothesis on the life cycle of the dragon, I will now move into the classification of Kyurem.
Right now, Kyurem is considered to be a Dragon/Ice type. It has a lot in common with Dragon-types, I will admit, but I do not believe that is enough to conclusively declare it that type. Instead, there is another Pokemon who bears a great amount in common with Kyurem... Shedinja.
Shedinja, as is commonly known, is the cast-off husk of a Nincada left behind on evolution that has enough life energy left over to live in its own right. This is similar to Kyurem's situation, the leftover husk becoming an independent entity.
The second thing I wish to address is Kyurem's 'meaning'. Reshiram, is of course the dragon embodying Truth. And Zekrom, the dragon embodying Ideals. Then, what is Kyurem? The answer comes from thinking about Kyurem's nature.
An extraterrestrial being who only has known the void of space, and then lands, and is split, leaving nothing but the cast-off shell that becomes Kyurem. Kyurem is thus the dragon who embodies Nothingness- Void. The void of space, a true emptiness where nothing can exist. Reaching an understanding with Kyurem, controlling Kyurem, or even bonding with it are seemingly impossible tasks, because Kyurem's nature is antithetical to life itself.
Before I address the rest, I would like to ask for a moment of silence. In honor of those who lost their lives to a man's foolish attempt to control Kyurem.
(A moment of silence passes.)
The next point I wish to address is Kyurem's ice, which requires bringing up the data gathered from Team Plasma's attack on Opelucid. It is not frozen water- It has a bizarre toughness. It does not melt, no matter the heat applied, and does not break, no matter the force- Mayor Drayden himself mustered the greatest force his team could, and could not so much as crack the ice.
Thus, what I believe is that it is not true ice, but 'stasis'. Again, it is void- In true nothingness, even movement is impossible. Thus, with motion sealed, all molecular activity is reduced to nothing, appearing as freezing ice. By using its domain of 'nothing' to halt thermal processes, it creates a facsimile of ice that cannot be broken through.
With all of this considered, its most primary characteristic is its lack of true life or activity- It is the cast-off shell, the remains, and it is nothingness embodied. As a result, I believe its proper typing should not be Dragon/Ice, but rather, Ghost/Ice.
The final point I wish to address is what should be done with Kyurem in the future. It is not a being native to Earth.
When a Pokemon is lost and put outside of its native habitat, it is considered the duty of humans who care about life to return it to where it is from, to ensure it can live, and to ensure it doesn't disrupt other ecosystems. Kyurem is not a part of our planet's ecosystem, and cannot said to belong here. It is a being native to space.
While it exists on Earth, it cannot thrive, and humans will inevitably seek to use it for their own ends, causing untold suffering and destruction of nature. Thus, I believe, as a gathering of those who understand Dragon-types the most, you will understand my idea:
Kyurem's habitat and current environments are known. We should gather a team, capture Kyurem, ensure its health, and then return it to its actual home environment... The stars. Where it will no longer be surrounded by life, that which is antithetical to its very being.
This concludes my report. Thank you all for your time and attention.
