I had this AU archived off my accounts for a few years, but I'm thinking about it a lot more these days so I'm digging it up for sketches.

This is Kudari from Codebreaker, functionally the starting antagonist for the story when Emmet accidentally collides with him and takes parts of his body.

For a little debrief, the main idea of Codebreaker is that Emmet discovers that he exists in a false reality, and that there is a parallel plane where all of the instructions for his reality exist. He finds his way to this plane by accident after walking back from another lonely day at work, and is hellbent on learning how to manipulate it in the hopes that he can recover Ingo with that knowledge. Kudari is his own set of instructions, who he partly dismantles, allowing him to actually interact with the code. This leaves a hollowed out shell that starts trying to find his own way to get his body back from Emmet.

I'd been thinking about the Beta Submas leaks which lead me to sketching him again. Here's the first rough warmup sketch I did with a fight between him and Emmet.

From there I just started reworking his old design to be worse 💀

Fuck it. Silly post time

My doodles from my class notes this + last week. I have been struggling to draw my guys on model lately so you can see some of the Struggles. go ahead, look at em. i am so human but watch me go. Anyways, these are in order from oldest to most recent (the ones I did in class today.) Trying to figure out how i want to draw them again, because it seems I can never quite do it the same way twice. Mildly frustrating, but it does leave space for silly posts like this. I hope someone else finds as much amusement in offended tynamo as I do.

AUs include spirit keeper (I've forgotten how to draw??? his hair??? which is like his most identifying feature???? don't know where THAT muscle memory went but it is GONE) and also Steady Tracks Ingo (who I have Never figured out how to draw in the first place tbh). Also pictured: an intentionally rare little ingo appearance. Also noticed I've been drawing more canon-compliant doodles than I normally do, so that's neat! Top right image (the third one) is my INSANELY botched attempt at drawing the One Move twins. Literally turbo fucked that one. look at ingo's face. Unrecognizable. Will I stop using an ink pen? when I die maybe

I know Volo wouldn't be wearing his ginkgo guild uniform from like 200 years ago in the 'present day' but hey- shitpost! (Also I drew Ingo first and then Emmet and had like no room to mess around with so)

Did I get the expressions right? No. Did I get anatomy right? Not at all- but this isn't my normal style and it made me laugh so I thought it share it!

had a weird dream where i was competing against two other people for presumably my life and there was a bit that involved hunting monsters and i lost but when they asked if there was anything i wanted i said to let me try again, this time i had to kill a man (or a facsimile of one) and attempted to kill the orchestrator of these twisted tests who looked like tr*mp but turned out to be something like a lich, but he only found it amusing and I no longer remember the ending but I woke up thinking I must have won since I woke up at all

i love when they start off like "um personally i think it's not so open minded or cool if you pathetic sensitive IDPOLS personally don't forgive white people for colonialism. it's in the past. alas this poor white fellow is not to blame. focus on the real issues - the woken scholar😌" to "oooo you all want me so bad it makes you look stupid" and "i'm not racist just because twitter people are mad at me" 😏 and eventually get like this. yea i hope you're mad and frustrated and hurt. stop fucking around with peoples feelings. black people not forgiving us is not hating us. and it can be hatred at times but not all the time. it's the kind of thing that varies and is very nebulous where it's exactly directed but it is incredibly real and NEEDED and kind of grounding at times or healing or many other things. at best it's no longer self directed hatred which is where that suffering is going to go unless you have a concrete reason that you take very seriously to understand why you and your community are still struggling. not forgetting WHY the struggling is happening today is how you do not just take it inward and remembering WHO did it helps people make sense of the ancestors of the slavers and genociders today. we represent something unimaginably painful for the victims of these massacres while not being directly responsible. and the privileges we have from it are a constant reminder. the subconscious bigotry we show for them is rooted back to that. not forgiving is an extremely complex thing that victims of unimaginable atrocities do and should and can grapple with for generations. just let this be. instead of talking skeptical about shit you clearly don't comprehend the surface of. this part isn't an own or something please just reflect with an open mind and heart on this

this is from the second draft and it was deleted for a number of reasons. 1) it served little as a transition scene 2) I could move the conversation closer to the climax 3) the a-train to inwood had pissed me off that day so no cameo!

also, i forgot that micah was called ilya in the first few drafts. it was a leftover from a previous piece dealing with reincarnation as the main plot device, but micah felt like it straddled the secular and modern orthodox world better. `
