What’s your OTP for your Muse(s)?

i absolutely cannot say i have one ship that i favour over any others for any of my muses. do i have ships that i am occasionally more feral over? yes, absolutely, but that is always down to ongoing discussions, plotting, etc with my ship partner(s), and it doesn't mean another of my ships isn't going to take the Feral Spot in a couple of days.

also, having one favourite is just boring and restricting. going feral over multiple ships is way more fun.

What are you willing to RP when it comes to shipping?

asides from the obvious themes and tropes which i shouldn't have to list but will anyway (age inappropriate, teacher/student, incest, dub/non-con, a/b/o, etc), i'm fairly open to a lot of things - my only condition is that things have to be discussed. i can't jump into a ship without at least establishing the basics, because i don't auto-ship even if i already enjoy the idea of a ship between those characters.

How large does the age gap have to be to make it uncomfortable?

as already said above, age inappropriate ships are a big no. minors are only shipped with minors of the same age range and only in a light way, and i refuse to "age up" anyone for the sake of shipping.

but in regards to the adult muses, generally it depends on a few factors. for example: general setting of canon, the species' involved, etc. when you write characters who are thousands of years old, age gaps don't really mean the same thing. in that case, as long as the characters involved are of similar emotional maturity, i'm fine with it.

Are you selective when shipping?

yes, absolutely. i have to be comfortable with the other person (or people, if we're doing poly ships) as well as comfortable with the ship itself, and there has to be chemistry between both muns and muses, otherwise it's... just not going to work. i also want to avoid being 'collected' for shipping, because i actually like to develop deep and complex dynamics with people and not just empty ships based solely on aesthetics.

How far do steamy moments have to go before they’re considered NSFW?

if you're going into detail, that's too far. it's really that simple. suggestive elements, insinuations, implied actions, they're all safe. but if you're giving a blow-by-blow (pun intended) explanation of what's going on..... yeah, that needs the tag.

Who are other muses you ship your muse with?

gestures at all of my ships ????? i ship my muses with whoever i end up shipping them with. i don't have expectations for ships, and i actually treasure the ones that spring from absolutely nowhere.

yes, absolutely. i don't auto-ship and i need to actually know you want to ship bc i'm not psychic and i won't make assumptions based on "hints" bc i probably won't pick up on them in the first place. be direct. the worst that'll happen is i'll say no.

How often do you like to ship?

how often is a weird question tbh. i ship when i ship ??? i do enjoy shipping and developing those bonds, but there's not like... a set pace to how often i like to ship. it's not my focus for writing here. i suppose once i have a ship going, i do like to delve into it as often as possible, whether that's through actual writing or just discussing the dynamic with the relevant people.

Are you multiship?

of course! i like to be open to all kinds of dynamics! however i am very selective on which dynamics i'll pursue more than one iteration of - they generally have to be different enough from one another that there's no chance of overlap or reusing of elements or ideas, and i won't ever do more than 2-3 of the same combination for that reason. for the most part, a number of my ships are unofficially exclusive in that regard (but not actually exclusive - yet). any ships that are a combination of characters you'd never normally think to throw together generally fall under that category.

neither? i'm not ship obsessed because i'm not here just to write ships, but i do really enjoy writing and developing those dynamics when they come along. so... somewhere in between, i guess??

Why do you think k2 isn't popular anymore?

hi anon! I love to talk so I'll answer this but I'll preface it by saying that although I'm not new to South Park, I'm newer to its fandom. I joined in like 2021 and by that point k2 had already fallen out of favor! before that I just observed it peripherally.

I think it's probably for a few reasons.

of the three main 4 ships for Kyle, it's obvious why k2 is the least popular of the lot. the other two have popular shipping tropes built in (best friends and rivals). there's also not a lot of canon moments to point to, you know, k2 doesn't have a "Guitar Queer-O" or a "Crack Baby Athletic Association" or whatever, really, whereas style and kyman have several such episodes. like I guess you have "Jewbilee" but a lot of people write off those early seasons. (and you have the Mysterion trilogy... to ME. pivotal k2 moments)

and I could end it there because that explains it for the most part but you're right. I think there was a time k2 was more popular than kyman at least (style was always reigning champ until creek took the crown!!!).

I personally believe that fandom (in general, not specifically SP) in recent* years has developed this sort of obsession with Ships Becoming Canon and that some ships are More Canon and therefore More Correct than others which has throttled both crackshipping and multishipping.

like idk there were obviously ship wars (nasty ones!) and OTPs in the 00s and 2010s, but it felt like people were more open to imagining the possibilities and potential between characters who may not have had much (or any) interaction, based solely on their personalities. there's a lot to say about the evolution of fandom as a whole but that's not your question.

so people have kind of settled on their one ship per character and that's it. most Kenny ships have been snuffed out by something or other (fitting) except for one. and that's bunny. and because it's got that one episode, it's now the Most Correct choice for him.

sorry you asked about k2 and I turned this into another complaint about the loss of Kenny biking :''( anyway, I think the appeal of k2 is the potential. you also can't approach it the same way you do style or kyman which I do think has stifled its popularity. this post, despite the broken links, is one of my favorite explanations of their fandom potential that also keeps in mind that we're working within the confines of what we're given. that is to say, South Park doesn't exactly lend itself to this sort of overwrought thinking but we all do it anyway.

it's not dead tho. plenty of people do still ship it and love it!! and I hope you support the @k2-fanzine when it comes out. but yeah you're right, it's lost steam and there's more reasons than what I've listed but I talk too fucking much.

Towing the honesty line here and saying that every ship - no matter its nature - has something I flat adore about it; something unique and captivating and that makes me excited about writing and exploring it. Stacking them up and naming names or pairings just feels like a fast track to potential hurt feels and I'm not about that life. Each is my favourite version of itself.

What are you willing to RP when it comes to shipping?

Most anything, honestly. Any kind of relationship - platonic, romantic, familial, a complex mix of those appropriate for mixing or a more straightforward affair. All sorts of relationships fascinate me, and I'm happy to explore provided it's well plotted out and we - as muns - have chatted about yeses and nos and boundaries and all that good stuff.

How large does the age gap have to be to make it uncomfortable?

I won't ship with minors or write ships where Ron and a minor are even vaguely romantically inclined. Otherwise - provided we're writing about legal adults consenting to things/being in situations - I'm not overly bothered about it as a concept, however--

I need to have a good rapport with the other mun, certainly. We need to plot things out, test ideas, make worlds and if we can't do that, I can't get comfy enough to open my (hard as fucking nails but still) muse up to the kind of connections shipping (any kind) entails. Elsewise, of course, there must be chemistry between muses if we're talking romantic shipping.

5 ships that I wanted to be endgame:

1.) Joey/Caitlin (I'm in the minority of fans who actually enjoyed the adult story lines during the early years. Even before I watched the original series. But it's so irritating that the two of them were needlessly broken up for Kevin Smith)

2.) Sean/Ellie (We've talked about this. Their relationship was so sweet and healthy and good for both of them. They deserved a happy ending)

3.) JT/Liberty (Again, they deserved a happy ending. The pregnancy ruined everything. Both JT and Liberty mishandled things and weren't getting proper guidance at the time. But they never fell out of love, and I 100% believe they would have ended up together had JT not died)

4.) Zoe/Grace (This just makes me angry. I'll always be bitter than the writers wouldn't just let them date. I never felt their eventual endgames were ever as genuine as what they shared with each other. I also struggle to buy that Grace liked men, but it is what it is)

5.) Craig/Ashley (Call it wishful thinking because Craig was such a mess, but I think he was always at his best with Ashley and that she was the only love interest he truly loved. I like to imagine that once Ashley finds her own independence and individual success and Craig gets copious amounts of therapy, they'll find each other again. If they haven't already TBH)

5 endgame couples (implied or otherwise) that I don't like:

1.) Eli/Clare (I won't subject you to another rant about them, so I'll just say I disagreed completely with giving those two a happy ending)

2.) Jake/Katie (I'm going to be completely honest. I didn't care about Katie's happiness, and I really liked Jake. It was that simple)

3.) Jonah/Grace (It felt forced to me, and I didn't like how Frankie was painted as being irrational and insecure for no reason only for Jonah to eventually admit he DID emotionally cheat on Frankie with Grace)

4.) Winston/Goldi (They were just kind of there. I don't have any feelings about them one way or another. It just felt tacked on. I feel like Winston needed the relationship more than Goldi did because the Next Class writers gave him so little to do)

5.) Jimmy/Trina (Again, they were just kind of there. We barely got to know her character, and it's odd that they randomly got engaged so quickly)

Three characters that I multiship almost equally:

1.) Drew Torres - Drew/Bianca & Drew/Clare (I wouldn't say exactly equally because I think Bianca complemented Drew better than anyone, but I also loved what Clare brought out in him. I'll always be sad they weren't given the chance to have something more)

2.) Spinner Mason - Spinner/Paige & Spinner/Darcy (I prefer Spinner with Paige, but I'm always torn every time I watch High Fidelity. Both dynamics are good for different reasons. Even though I ultimately think Spinner loved Paige more considering he was on the verge of picking her over Darcy, Darcy also accepted and loved him when he needed it most. She inspired better in him than Paige did. So basically, I'm torn over these two ships that were nowhere close to endgame)

3.) Sean Cameron - Sean/Ellie & Sean/Emma (Again, I have a preference. Sellie or bust. But if we're talking about seasons 1-4, it's closer. Had that triangle had the chance to play out with Sean never moving away, Semma could have been written better and it would have been a closer match for me)

1.) Maya Matlin (Obviously)

2.) Emma Nelson (It's actually super close and based on how I'm feeling today. It could be Clare tomorrow. Or even Caitlin. I just feel like even though I didn't love a lot of Emma's questionable writing in the middle years, she had so much variety in story lines. It's also the early TNG bias. I can't help it)

3.) Clare Edwards (Clare may have been a divisive character, but it's hard to deny she carried seasons 10-14. She was literally around for the entire era of 40+ episodes. She wasn't my personal favorite, but I still really liked her and what she brought to the show. She'd probably be higher if her love life didn't hold her back from experiencing more growth)

4.) Caitlin Ryan (Again, still close. She was great, and had a decent variety of story lines. But some of the TNG years stuff could be hit or miss. Kevin Smith? Jesse? The writers had it out for her for some reason)

5.) Frankie Hollingsworth (Her character was all over the place and mostly overshadowed by more interesting characters. To be honest, I think Frankie was pushed as the main girl because she was white. Not because she suited the role best or was the most interesting. The Hollingsworths got old towards the end)

Favorite: Craig/Ashley

Least favorite: Can I choose Ashley/Alistair? If not, Jimmy/Ashley. They were never compatible, and their season 5 reunion wasn't believable or needed.

Not to debate with anons, but fiyeraba to me is much improved over the stage version. For one we already know he doesn’t care that she’s green and they make that clear from the start. They make it clear he has no animosity for her, in the musical he’s a total asshole to her only up until the lion cub basically whereas in the movie he comes to school and he waves at her without a single care for how that would be perceived. The “dislike” they have for each other is barely there honestly, it’s moreso that Elphaba is just annoyed with his act (and like I said Fiyero has no issue with her from the start). The other thing is the way they meet is very clearly a meet cute, so it’s obvious from the beginning he’s her love interest. It’s been funny watching people react to the movie and pick up on that right away. I also just think Jonathan and Cynthia have a sweet chemistry: All of this to say, I actually think they’ve done a great job of setting up the obvious jn terms of them liking each other and it already feels more improved than the show. And the other thing is people do actually love the ship lol, there’s a lot of fans on twitter and tiktok so hey :). Just here to offer a contrasting opinion to some of the negativity around the ship, I hope that’s ok!

totally! and i am all ears for people's thoughts and also love the meet cute in the movie in a narrative sense. the musical meeting is more comedic to me but the more intimate meeting in the movie and loook into how Fiyero interacts with an Animal like Feldspar is a cute one!

I love the ship as well, multishiper but i do tend to feel more creative/drawing fiyeraba over my other wicked ships. I love that we are all able to duscus it w/o bashing either ship bc i dont see the need or want to (that tends to happen when discussing ships even tho its not helpful)

all this to say i just hope they keep this dynamic up more into part 2/act 2 as well because as much as book!fiyeraba is my fav, movie!fiyeraba is beating out musical!fiyeraba (for me personally n i cant wait to see their "as long as you're mine " bc omg that song <3)

A HEADS UP ABOUT THE CHARACTER

My muses will probably come off as sarcastic with a bit of a feisty attitude but when you get close to them you will learn that they aint all that bad, that they can be quite a sweetheart. Sometimes they are more of a talker than a listener and sometimes they are more of a listener than a talker. They value friendship and loyalty — They'd do mostly anything for someone they truly love. They're not afraid to take chances or go off on their own. They'll go off in a direction and try something completely wrong and learn their lesson. They pretty much like to keep their life private, so that means their relationship and their feelings are private, unless your personally close them! Most of them believe in love but it takes a real special person to catch their interest and keep it long enough for it to ever blossom into something more than just a crush. Their family and friends are the ones they trust with their life. If they choose to trust you, that is a huge thing. If they allow you into their heart? That’s even bigger.

None of my muses fall in love so easily but there are rare times when they can fall in love easily but when they are falling in love, they will most likely wait til the right time to tell you that they are. They will occasionally say ‘I love you’ to remind you that they do love you more than anything in this world. But if you break their heart, they will never trust you again or it will take longer to gain their trust this time than the first time around, only because they'll have a hard time trusting after getting hurt. They may get their moments when they get jealous, but they won't admit it because they find it such a silly thing, but it just means they are scared of losing you cause they love you more than anything.

I am not exclusive, but I am extremely selective and semi-private, so I reserve the right to deny any interaction between our muses. It has nothing to do with you, it’s about my comfort level. But most of the time I am usually very open to roleplaying with anyone unless I have reasons for not wanting to roleplay with someone.

Important! I absolutely will not tolerate any ooc drama whatsoever. RELATIONSHIPS & SHIPPING

This blog Is Multiship/Multiverse! This means that they will have more than one relationship/plot going at a time. This does not mean any one of them is cheating on anyone, unless we discussed it beforehand. If you’re unsure of what this entirely consists of, please google it before trying to get into it. I just want to make sure you’re informed. Don’t force a ship down my or my muse’s throat! That’s absolutely not cool and fucking rude, so just don’t do it. If you force a ship upon my muse and me, I will not be accountable for my muse's actions towards your muse. However, I will not allow them to kill yours, I'm not that rude. The only thing I will let them do is to be a dick towards yours. It will inadvertently lead to you being blocked; I will not apologize because you are the one who broke the rules. I ship based on chemistry. Don’t assume we are shipping without talking to me. Just because my muse kissed, had sex, or flirted with yours doesn’t mean we are in a serious ship.

I will always try my best to make sure I tag them NSFW, no promises tho cause shit happens and I may forget. You need to be 18+ in order to write smut with me, why? Because I’m in my twenties, which makes me a legal adult and I’m not going to jail if your mom or whoever is legal guardian of you finds our paras. It will fade to black before it even heads in that direction if you are younger than 18. Also, if you are legal age and uncomfortable with writing smut then we can make it fade to black, I have no problem with that. REPLY SPEED

If I reply to certain threads faster than yours, it's nothing personal, it's just sometimes I only have muse for certain threads. I promise I’ll reply to our thread when I have muse for it til then it will be sitting in my drafts, unless I lost it or eventually ended up dropping it cause I had no muse for it. If I do drop it, I’ll try to let you know. And if it’s been a bit between replies I may ask if you received my reply or replied to our thread to see if it was lost. But because it's sorta hard for me to ask since I worry about annoying you, it’ll definitely take me a bit to ask. 

A REQUEST

Right, for the sake of my anxiety and so I won’t eventually assume the worst. All I have to ask of you, is if you saw the reply to either a thread or ask then can you like it? You can unlike it afterwards, I just never know. Very, very selective with;

‘Unrequited crush’ threads need to be talked about first, and boundaries set. Usually only with muns I know well.

‘Fight’ threads where it’s Thera against someone else’s muse. Her vs random NPCs is fine.

Child muses (under 13). NPCs are OK, but not children who are the main muse. Any threads with older teens will be strictly platonic.

Shipping / Smutting. No instant smut. Smut may happen in the context of a ship, but it's not the sole intent of this blog.

Shipping needs to be talked about first. Thera is multiship, male-attracted, and we enjoy shipping. But it’s still not going to be an automatic-everybody thing. There’s got to be some sort of IC build up and OOC talk as well, to see how the muses get along and that we're on the same page. If we haven't talked about it OOC, it's not happening.

No means no. On both sides. If I say no to something I expect you to listen. Conversely, if you say no I’m going to take that as final, so if you change your mind later you need to tell me.

Also please do not say yes when you mean no. Just rip off the bandaid, OK?

Interaction Please communicate, please reciprocate. This is a hobby, but it’s a hobby we should both enjoy and it’s not enjoyable when something’s all one-sided. Busy happens, favourites happen, but if I’m doing all the sending and messaging and you don’t do any, especially if you’re active with others, then no hard feelings but I’m going to move along.

Reblogging Memes Please don’t reblog memes or starter lists from me without sending me one. You don't have to send me something, but if you don’t please reblog them from the source instead.

Post length I’m good with any, as long as we’re on the same page. But if I’m doing paras and getting one line back, it makes me wonder if you really want to be doing it at all. If you’re stuck, I’m totally open to waiting, plotting or re-writing.

Please don’t decide for me what she does, thinks or feels (or did before the events of the thread), that your muse has done something major to her, or put her in a certain situation, without running it past me first. Also, ignoring what I’ve just written and continuing as if Thera never said or did something counts as god-modding, too.

Verses are separate unless it's been discussed OOC beforehand. Please don't shoehorn Thera into your own existing group verse without talking about it with me first.

Meta-gaming is giving your muse OOC knowledge IC. There are muses out there powerful enough that they could know things, but please talk to me about it first. Your muse suddenly knowing all about Thera for no IC reason and without asking me is not going to work out.

On those last two points, I also reserve the right to say no.

Vague/Guilt-Posting Trying to pressure or guilt me into RPing with you is going to have the opposite effect to what you want. Asking if I saw a post or reminding me once or twice is fine, talking to me directly about a problem, likewise. Messages specifically intended to make me feel bad for not replying/RPing with you are not.

Sometimes I can't come up with anything better to say than "Yay!" or "I'm glad you liked it!" but I always try to put in the effort to make my responses personal when I can. It's a lot of effort to comment, and I want to show my appreciation!

What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Probably Nidhogg's Final Revenge, which actually has an even angstier alternate ending that I opted not to post. The one it's got is dark enough on it's own :P

What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Why is this question so hard? Maybe No Regrets? A lot of my fics have peaceful or happy-ish endings, but I can't think of any that end "happily ever after"

Do you get hate on fics? Not often

Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Sure do. It is my personal mission to prove that consent is sexy

Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written? Not a big fan of crossovers, personally

Have you ever cowritten a fic before? Many many years ago. I'd definitely be open to doing it again! But most of my artist friends are visual artists

What's your all-time favourite ship? h o w am I supposed to answer this, I am the king of multishipping. Can I do it by fandom? I could do it by fandom. Maybe. Probably. (Wangxian. I don't write for mdzs, but... I think it's wangxian.)

What's a WIP you'd like to finish but doubt you ever will? I will finish my Haurchefant lives/WoL dies AU. I will I will I will.

What are your writing strengths? Really evocative descriptions. I think I'm really good at drawing the reader into the scene.

What are your writing weaknesses? Please for the love of the gods do not make me write action. Or do, I guess, so I can get better at it, but >.<

Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? I have... a lot of thoughts on this. Tl;dr, if you're just going to translate it right after anyway, don't bother. If you're doing it because you expect your reader to understand or because you intend for them to not understand (ie with fantasy languages), go for it.

On the subject of aging up characters: it depends on the muse and who's the mun behind it. Unfortunately, I've seen way too much discourse about it in the pokerpc which has left me feeling iffy about it, even if 9/10 times it is harmless (and I'm cool with it in other fandoms I'm in). It's just in the Pokerpc that I'm wary of it. I get it is a touchy subject to some ppl, especially to those who love jumping the gun and completely ignore what ppl are actually writing. But literally??? Everyone writes a form of post-series events verses/plot, and guess what? In my book, that counts as aging up a character, ppl just do it naturally. I've explained my stance on it, in my muses about docs. So, I'll keep it brief here. Just ask me if I'm cool with it or not, if something isn't clear.

Which leaves for last, any NOTPs (Falkner/Morty) I may have around.

HOW LARGE DOES THE AGE GAP HAVE TO BE TO MAKE IT UNCOMFORTABLE?:
