I finally get to play BG3 after a while, and the first thing I do is spin this fucker around for a solid minute.

I feel like over the month+, I have like 1-2 hours a day max where I feel relatively awake, and every other hour I'm fighting bone-deep exhaustion. I'll bring it up with my doc at my check up on monday, but tbh i know the solution so idk if she can help
And I can work-work when I feel half-dead, or rather I force myself to because I don't want my cats to starve, but when it comes to creative stuff, it's like my mind is slippery sludge dribbling out my eyes...
The Solution, of course: just stop working 3~10 AM every day (and then taking a short nap, working during the day, and then taking another short nap, hours vary but repeat), and maybe get at least 6, ideally 8 uninterrupted hours of sleep at least every other day, ideally every day.
But do I see that happening? No.
Like rn I know I desperately need to edit fic and reply to comments and do several arts but I'm nodding off at my desk after boss DMing me work at 5 AM and dealing with repair people since 8:30 AM...
#YukiPri rambles#yeah the next fic chapter is long done#i just need to edit and reply to comments but that's like#5 hours at least of concentration and i feel more vegetable than sentient human#coffee just makes me sleepier#my hyper irregular sleep hours (i never sleep the same hours 2 days in a row...) means that even when i DO have time to sleep#i wake up/it's not restful#i've tried melatonin and sometimes it works but more often it gives me hyper vivid pseudo-dreams#stuff like i'm in my dream i hear my alarm go off i turn my alarm off while remaining in my dream etc it's dangerous#all of this also of course means i rarely have time to do my minimal exercise of a daily walk#and i'm lucky if i eat one full meal a day#it's like being in a perpetual state of awful jetlag#i feel like my body is not synched to earth and it sucks#do you think this is what inter-planetary jetlag is like bc that must suck worse than just timezones on the same planet#that at least has a consistent rotation u feel#hmm what was this post about again#lol disaster#anyway i think i'll take a 1-2 hour nap now so maybe i can do some fic editing when i get up#see i'm repeating the cycle again

My reluctance to ask for more coverage at work vs my knowledge that I'll need more than one day to recover from jet lag after returning from vacation

Okay, everyone...I think I just encountered the weirdest murder I've ever seen.
This guy...just dropped dead right in front of me. No setup, no murder weapon, no obvious signs of struggling...
Just...dead.
You might think this is because the man succumbed to some sort of stroke or heart attack or other natural cause of death.
Except the man was a perfectly healthy 30-something year old who doesn't have a family history for strokes or heart problems or even any diseases that could cause those diseases.
He was about as clean as someone can conceivably be with their bill of health, and yet, he's somehow dead in no obvious manner.
Its like his heart stopped working abruptly.
Now, I know this is a murder (Because natural deaths never happen around me and the circumstances seem too supernatural for this to be normal), but at the same time, this just looks like the strangest cause of death I've ever seen.
Now, of course, I'll come back with updates once I'm done with my preliminary investigation.

i think the circadian rhythm disorder has ruined my life more than the pain disorder tbh
#i think the pain would be more manageable if i was getting good regular sleep#the pain is at its worst when i wake up esp if i had trouble falling asleep#but not having a consistent sleep schedule is a living nightmare#if it was delayed sleep phase disorder it would be perfect bc it would be *a schedule*#but not knowing what my sleep schedule will be a month from now is such bullshit#it's exhausting and isolating and not covered by health insurance :))#and societally people just think you're fucking lazy and irresponsible#and if you would just do xyz you would be cured#this has been my entire life. farther back than i can remember even.#i was sleep deprived and jetlagged for most of my childhood#which makes you neurotic as hell#but yes if i just follow ur little ~sleep hygiene~ tips i'm sure i'll stop being a lazy pos and join productive society

Cup of China 2023 - Adam Siao Him Fa and Shoma Uno during the men’s victory ceremony
#this photo is everything to me I want to frame it put it on my wall stare at it forever#i’ve been lowkey hoping for something like this the whole off season watching adam’s ig and following him posting about his training#I love this boy and I love that he’s the kind of person who keeps quiet and works hard to get what he wants (like shoma)#and I do love his skating - his two programs were my favorite last season after shoma’s#but he really clicked for me at worlds on that first monday of practice (ik I will never shut up about this sorry)#was it the last group of men? it was pretty late and adam went in the group after shoma#and I was already shaky after seeing shoma practice with my very eyes#the way shoma practices is really like a machine - relentless and single-minded and unstoppable#and that night he was really hitting it (and popping a lot of jumps but he was still not holding back)#I think it was the night shoma did more jumping passes than the rest of the other men put together#and then adam’s group came out#and I ended up being unable to look away from adam because I saw much of the same qualities in him#and it went through my mind that of all the guys I’d seen there he was the one that reminded me the most of shoma#(lol it’s always shoma in the end isn’t it)#(and I love that shoma had already recognized his qualities too)#(I was so devastated when worlds went the way they did for adam sdghjkk)#but last season he still didn’t have what it took to fight at the same level with the guys at the top - or the consistency#that’s why this win feels so precious and meaningful#adam kept it together and delivered once more - it wasn’t just another one-time win in france#and to do it like that! tired from back to back assignments jetlagged and with boot issues!! On bad ice!!!#he knew that if shoma went clean it would have been hard or impossible for him to win#but he went for it with all he had and fought hard - i teared up towards the end because I was so worried he’d let his sp mistake get to hi#can’t wait for gpf but no matter how adam does there I’m so proud of him 😭#this was hard for me to watch because I also wanted shoma to win but I think Adam needed it more and it ended up being a deserved win#and I think it will motivate shoma for nhk and I’m so here for it! or literally: will be so there for it afsghjjfghgdh aaaaaaaaahhh#adam siao him fa#shoma uno
