I finished the page, which was small at 500x500 px, but I wanted to make the page bigger. I did that, and I drew one new thing, but now I don’t know what else to draw on there. So for now, I figured I might as well post the original full page right now

Anyways, so yeah, this new style practice I’m trying

The original page I tried these out on is this, which also isn’t full, but I thought trying it out with actual characters instead of just random poses and shapes would be better, so I switched over to Cookie Run characters

The method is still a work in progress when it comes to all the shapes and the red sketch layer

I suppose what I should do now is try drawing a bunch of different Cookies that have different body shapes, so that I have practice with that. As well as maybe attempt some full body ones

I suppose you can suggest some if you want, considering I don’t know who to draw other than like, Hollyberry or Avocado, since I should try drawing large but not buff characters here. But I should also probably draw more skinny, and also chubby

But on to what I actually drew

So I already talked about Peach Blossom and the top Dark Choco drawing prior, so no real need to elaborate

The Dark Choco and Dark Cacao one was me drawing them in their younger forms to see how they compare. Not for any sort of study thing, but just in a symbolic sort of way. Since they’re so similar looking

I think I had a lot more fun with Choco, especially his hair. I remember Cacao being mostly annoying for his weird cloak thing that I don’t understand

The hand pose was ass though. I knew the general idea of what I wanted, that being them with their hands over their swords, but I was struggling to figure out how to draw the hands. Not to mention I had to change the pose from the red sketch because the swords were further down than I put them. I still don’t think I did the pose exactly correct, but screw it, it’s good enough

I’m also noticing that Choco looks way lighter in skin tone compared to Cacao. Like yeah, I know he’s normally slightly lighter, but it’s far more noticeable here. I’m pretty sure it’s because I used Dark Choco’s ToA colors here (bc they work better with my black lineart), which are slightly lighter, as well as just that Dark Choco is wearing much lighter colors while Dark Cacao’s are relatively darker. So maybe it just makes them contrast more

I liked drawing them, but I also did basically do the same body type 3 in a row, so I should probably draw different characters

Anyways, let’s talk about that extra sketch

So for those who likely don’t remember, that there is an OC of mine called Prickly Pear Cookie

I made her entirely on a whim one day, and she doesn’t really have any character or story, just vibes, but I really like her design and wanted to draw it again

I probably should give her some sort of bra though. The shirtless chest looks cool but in my opinion sounds really uncomfortable without at least that

I did originally draw her with the green skin, but it looked weird so I shifted it to more of a yellow so it looks more human

Honestly I really like how she turned out

But yeah, I think that’s about it for now. Just wanted to show this

ok yes I read the mha manga and I had to stop a fuck ton of times to screech about the sexualization of teenagers, and the costumes in general aren’t practical or protective, so I, like many others, decided to redesign the costumes(and the characters, but mainly the costumes), starting with Yaoyorozu Momo.

I’m working on anatomy, and this has helped, but im still not the best, so if the proportions aren’t super accurate, please give me any tips you have to make them more so! so, here’s my hero costume design for Everything Hero: Creati

MAIN COSTUME:

hair pulled into a bun

high impact sports bra

unzips in the front and back

low rise athletic shorts

her og costume is already wayyy different from her normal style, she really only cares about practicality, so I didn’t take her style into account, otherwise it would look fairly different

sinchable cover up

it’s worn as a skirt kinda thing when not being used for modesty, like in the picture

everything has zippers on it

the zippers are high tech and magnetic for easy skin exposure, can also be remotely controlled by her smart watch

they have shit that can make dna super suits, technology implanted in zippers isn’t that much of a stretch

holographic technology

same thing with the visor, she can see approximately how much usable fat she has, pull up online data catalogs for certain items, etc

replaces the clunky ass books

utility belt that I can’t draw very well

contains snacks for her quirk as well as basic first aid and the like

yes the bra underneath would realistically still be there but just unzipped but whatever

she canonically doesn’t care much about modesty but there are public decency laws and creepers so she gets a fucking cover up

also she is a teenager

COLD WEATHER VERSION:

thicker material

all of the black parts are unzippable

mainly there for warmth when she’s not engaging in active combat

I left the belt out but it’s still there

lined boots(not visible but I’d like to think so)

I made a mistake and accidentally had the shorts end where the cover up ends so they’re a little uneven

COLD WEATHER(WITH CLOAK)

cloak is there for warmth and occasionally stealth

yes the canon red one is more elegant but black absorbs more warmth and probably works better for stealth when she’s trying to pull off shit like the whole ‘operation sneak Bakugou out from under the nose of Japan’s most dangerous villain’ thing

HOT WEATHER VERSION:

I always thought it was dumb they only have a regular and cold weather version so I added one for hot weather

also sometimes worn for her regular costume

the high collar one is only because it has more coverage and is similar to her prototype costume

which by the way, her prototype costume is way better than the canon one

I’m so completely normal- have i told yall that?? Anyways, I was watching oosmp and the no way out cmv and it got me thinking about how heyhay and sherb play their characters and how star and i play our characters. There’s a pattern to each one. Like each character is vaguely similar or they’re polar opposites

and the reason i use star and myself is due to corruptions. mostly the relationship and similarities between bee and ic and rae and kier . bee and ic both were fond of potions and were more focused on the fighting aspect of things as where kier and rae seemed to stray away from fighting (unless necessary) and were both anxious nearly 24/7 (but that’s probably just a coincidence) . [ Ik kier was an ass at first but he didn’t like being the one to draw his weapon first . He’s all bark no bite ]

my main point is i really want to see how acting styles would merge in a scenario with different characters from different worlds. specifically; md!kier , corr!bee , icarixus, and harper. they each come from different stories with their own goals and morals but more importantly is that they all went through different lives and i would love to see how they would all come together and interact.

starting off with harper bc I just finished oosmp lore . I can’t go too into depth with them since I’ve only one episode to go off of right now but they were definitely an intriguing character. She’s a bit more abrasive than i was first expecting. She was quick to make comments on how run down Juno’s grandmothers house was, the outhouse, the pumpkin men. Especially while her and Juno were exploring, they were very iffy on all the creatures they found while Juno was nothing but excited. The ghosts were met with fear snd confusion and the pumpkin men disinterest. Even tho she seems quick to judge, it’s clear she’s incredibly loyal to her girlfriend (fiancé? wife? I’m not 100% sure- kinda zoned out a few times) and will do anything as long as its for Juno’s betterment.

icarixus, my blorbo. my silly sad guy . Icarixus is my main pick for the sherb of this imaginary cross over au in my head due to what they’ve all been through and how that left the impact that it did. especially now that they’re quixus, they’re left with the memories of their family and friends and loved ones that they can’t see anymore. Also at the point in time they’d be dragged into this au, they would have been alone for a while, so they’d have built up more longing for other human interaction. plus with bee- the two being from different versions of the same universe ( FableSMP and Corruptions ) , they’d have similar memories with similar people but at season 2 that’s where It’d split . Icarixus would have the memories of the mirror and the warden, figuring out quixus’ name, more about the gods. and bee would remember [ spoilers :p ] ( ^ but it’s not exactly that )

now for bee. ⟟ can’t say toooo much bc star and i are still working on corruptions, but they don’t go through all sunshine and rainbows. they start out with little memories, the ones they do have are horrid. Then, they meet “not-so-human humans” and eventually build some friendships. Corruptions follows the actual canon of Fable to a point until season 2. season 2 is when it really does its own thing and it becomes the major point that isn’t following the actual lore of fsmp. That being said- bee would have vastly different memories of the same people that icarixus would and they’d have different opinions of the same people. Gonna use Rae as an example here; they’d both still have a positive view of him in a certain way, but there’s a major event that happens to bee with Rae that it’s still hard to shake off.

kier. there is a reason i picked mystic duo kier instead of corruptions kier; it’s for his experiences. The whole point of this is that they all went through things different. Be it different with no similarities or something similar that changes direction at some point. Md kier ( or artemis ) would have gone from world to world, dying over and over again, losing and gaining friends and abilities all before he could even drive- and that messes with someone. by the time he’d be yoinked; it’d be way past what i have written now but it’d be right before the third to last fic Chris and i have planned. He’d have gotten a grip on his powers and he’d have established his found family with the rest of the star squad ( Chris , Lauren , Scott , Aubry , and MVP ) . He’d have the memories of Chris and him being raised in empires and all the things that meeting Mumza in the void led to afterwards.

they’d all have vastly different memories and experiences, and I can only imagine how they’d interact.

Now some “ground rules” for this crossover

-they’d only have vague memories and the more prominent ones would be people closest to them ( icarixus : rae, bee : kier, kier : chris, harper : juno)

-they’d all look slightly different ; Icarixus would have their pure gold wings but no visible signs of being quixus , they’d also be in clothes they wore at home with the spilt dye coat ( only it’s be plain with no pins or accessories what so ever ) . harper would have her roots peaking out through her hair, she’d have a different outfit on (listen she’s the only one with non-fantasy elements on her that i can’t change. let her have her roots peaking out) . Bee’s wings would be pure back and their ender mouth would be gone, he’d still have his tail, but he’d opt to hide it, as much of his identity he could hide; he would . kier’s hair would be longer and the purple more of a plum than bright purple, his vitiligo would be more of a natural color than the ender skin that it normally is, he wouldn’t wear his tiara; and his wings would just be white and purple instead of white purple and pink.

-there’s no contact home .

That’s all I got honestly. This idea really hit me out of nowhere and now has a death grip on my mind. we’ll hope you enjoyed my ramble :p

Fun facts about my art process:

Today I was making new JLI art and it got me thinking that I have the same ritual when it comes to drawing the JLI and some of them are very silly and fun so I wanted to share with you guys. Even if you don’t care, reading is important so just read the freaking post lol.

1- I hate drawing men !!! Seriously, drawing Martian and Batman is easy for me bc they have very easy features to draw like Batman’s mask and Martian’s nose. But every time I have to draw Ted, Booser and Guy it’s a struggle.

2- drawing Ted is the hardest, I think it’s bc I shipp Ted and Bea so I always try to draw Ted cuter than the other boys and that pressure makes it harder for me but drawing Ted is the bane of my existence.

3- idk why but Guy always ends up looking super hot. I swear it’s unintentional, but the man always looks so hot, sometimes I look at my drawings and I’m like “wtf Giovana why did u make him look so hot ? “

4- I like making Tora skin pinkish, mostly bc she has white hair so white hair and light skin would look very washed out but I like to think that her skin is like “ice burnt” (?). Idk if that’s a word, I’m Brazilian I’ve never felt cold in my life. All I know is sun burnt lol.

5- the opposite goes to Bea, I like to make her skin light bc, well she is in fact white Brazilian, but I like to make her hair color pop, that’s also why I give her black lipstick and eyebrows, it’s all about the hair.

6- Bea’s hair !!!! I always try to give her the best hair. I make it very voluminous, very wavy and very bright almost as if it’s on fire. I love her hair, also I’m trying to redeem her hair bc of the awful 80’s hair style that DC insists on giving her.

7- I listen to Hannah Montana while making my JLI arts … actually I love all the early 00s Disney channel music and I also listen to podcasts but I prefer listening to music while drawing.

8- if I don’t find a reference the drawing is not happening. Every artist struggles at something and my struggle is anatomy I can’t come up with poses, especially group poses so I’m always looking for references. Once I have my reference everything is fine but if I can’t visualize it I can’t draw it.

9- I love drawing booster’s suit, it’s just so shiny and easy to draw, Guy’s vest and Ted’s suit have too much detail so booster’s suit is just fun to draw.

10- I hate drawing booster’s hair tho I always think it looks stupid idk why I hate drawing short hair.

11- I love drawing skeets. I wish I would draw him more often tho. My reference for skeets is the justice league unlimited version.

12- speaking of references, when I draw Batman I almost always make his cape cover him completely bc I think he moves around like Dracula from hotel Transylvania LOL. Idk why but I treat him like the most unserious character ever.

13- I draw using photoshop, this isn’t a fun fact, that’s actually sad.

14- My laptop is an old Lenovo from 2017 and it crashes constantly. Usually I start and finish a drawing on the same day but sometimes my laptop decides otherwise.

15- my signature is my initials but one time someone commented that it’s looks like a “cursive B” and since then when I can’t get my signature just right I draw a cursive B instead and it works lol.

16- I always give Ted dimples, mainly bc dimples make him look even cuter but also bc I struggle with drawing men so I try to give them different characteristics to make them look unique.

17- I give every JLI member its own layer file while drawing and I always make it color coordinated. So Bea’s file is green, Ted’s is blue, Booster’s is yellow, etc.

18- I name all my layers and to keep my sanity I name them all with silly names like “bea’s million dollar hair”. “Boosters shiny ass suit”. “Tora’s blush she bought from MAC”.

19- I came up with Bea’s suit bc I always hated that she had normal looking clothes instead of a suit like everyone else so I came up with a new one and it was inspired by a pair of boots I saw on instagram once.

20- the JLI is my favorite thing to draw <3

That’s all I can come up with right now, hope this post encourages people to keep drawing bc most digital artists like to appear as if being good at drawing is a magical gift and they don’t struggle at anything. So this is my reality lol

I finished this so fic fast like holy shit-

This day was absolutely horrible.

The hairstylist fucked your hair up and your forced to go home to your boyfriend looking like shit without a way to fix it, but surely it isn’t that bad right?

I mean…it really was BAD. everybody stared at you and laughed and whispered and pointed, some people even started to pity you. The worst part about this whole mess is the fact you didn't know why they were doing that in the first place.

It just wasn't normal for them to be so mean towards you. You knew how to handle people being mean to you but this was something else entirely. You weren't used to these types of things.

You walked down the streets with your head down staring at your feet, trying to hide from everybody's eyes. You tried hard not to let their stares bother you too much, because they weren't your fault. You could do nothing wrong. You'd been here before so many times, after all, it probably wasn't as bad now that you thought back on it. Right?

But, oh god, did it suck. Every time someone looked at you they laughed and snickered. And, oh god…when you thought this could get worse you run into your boyfriend on the way back down the street to your house as he is getting the mail. He doesn't see you and doesn't notice you.

Your eyes go wide as you try to get away from him without drawing attention to yourself but unfortunately, you're walking too fast and he catches up with you quickly.

His arms are crossed over his chest. His expression is unreadable as usual. You look at him nervously for a second before you can feel a hand land on your arm. "Y/N," Leon says softly. You wince internally.

"We need to talk." That's when he notices your hair. "What happened to your hair?" His voice sounds kind of angry and hurt.

Oh my God…he's going to hate me or dislike it right?.

He always does. You swallow thickly as you glance to the side nervously. "Did your hairdresser do that?" He asks, sounding annoyed. You nod slowly.

He looks surprised for a moment, maybe even a little hurt. “Lets get you home, I had a feeling that something has been making me feel uneasy today.” You don’t say anything, you don’t want to argue. He pulls you along behind him, his long black coat swishing against the cement as he walks.

As you both walk inside he guides you to take a seat and he tries his beat to comfort you. “Do you wanna tell me what was bothering you?” He asks quietly. You shrug in response, still staring at your hands folded in your lap.

He sighs heavily. “Okay. If you want to keep quiet then we will.” That makes you look up and stare at him in surprise.

“Just let me make you atleast feel better than before.” Leon takes some scissors and a brush and touched your hair up with gentle motions. He hummed in approval when he finally finished and went to grab some paper and a pencil from the kitchen. “I have no idea why you haven’t had an idea to ask me to cut your hair before, it might help make you feel more comfortable rather than letting some hairstylist make it shitty.”

He pauses for a second before starting to gaze into your eyes through the mirror, which made you feel as if he was eye fucking you. Your cheeks flushed pink. “It looks fine. Better than fine even. Just keep it that way. You’re beautiful.” Your heart jumped at how sweet he said those words.

His fingers brushed across your cheek gently before returning to cutting your bangs into a short style. You closed your eyes as he gently pulled you in for a small kiss, then a few minutes later he was done fixing your hair. “Thank you,” you mumbled as he set the scissors and the paper aside.

“You’re welcome. I hope that helped a bit,” Leon replied, placing a kiss on your forehead as he got up. You felt butterflies erupt in your stomach and you smiled softly.

Your boyfriend always managed to make your mood improve somehow even if it wasn’t necessarily intentional. He gave off an aura that seemed to make everything okay again, even the most difficult days. Even just talking about you made him happier than anything and he was very good at that sort of thing.

You couldn’t believe you found such amazing boyfriend.

•Walks with your hand in his jacket pocket. Most days your hand is encased with the warmth of his own hand. On extra cold days there’s the added warmth of a heat pack squished into his pocket as well. It becomes second nature to him. His hand just automatically takes yours and brings it into his pocket when you guys go out into the cold. You don’t even always notice it yourself, only realizing your hand is in his pocket when you need it to do something. 

•Doing up each other's coats. If you're not wearing a hoodie or sweater Gunil always makes sure to either zip or button up your jacket before leaving the house and you do the same to him. When you meet up with him and sees that your jacket is undone he’ll shake his head. Mumbling about how you could get sick as he does up your jacket. Although sometimes he’s no better and you say the same thing as you do up his jacket.

Jungsu

•Drinking hot chocolate. On those especially frigid days Jungsu loves nothing more than snuggling up with you while drinking hot chocolate. You guys either watch something together, listen to music, or just simply talk. It doesn’t matter to him as long as he gets to spend time with you. Basking in the warmth of one another and the hot chocolate, temporarily forgetting about the cold surrounding the outside world.

•Writing your initials on fogged up windows. The first time he did it the two of you were on the bus. He wrote his first initial with a plus sign followed by yours then drew a heart around it. He then eagerly tapped you on the shoulder to show you his artwork. You took out your phone, snapping a picture of it to save the memory. Ever since then it has become one of your guys' things. He would write his initial then one part of the plus sign. You would complete the plus sign then write your own initial and you both would draw half of the heart.

Gaon/Jiseok

•Playing in the snow. From building snowmen, making snow angels, to having snowball fights, the two of you did it all. His favorite was building a little snow family with you. Both of you would go to check on your snow family everyday after making them. Feeling sad when they melted away, or some prick destroyed them. He’d be lying if he said he didn't enjoy cuddling with you under a blanket after spending time playing in the snow, just as much.

•Getting matching sweaters. It didn’t matter if it was a holiday sweater or just a normal sweater he just wanted to match. Would take photos of you guys in your matching sweaters and pick one to put as his wallpaper. Coincidentally wearing them on the same day would make Jiseok so happy. Would talk about how you two were on the same wavelength that day. It would quickly become one of his favorite sweaters and he would never let anyone borrow it.

O.de/Seungmin

•Trying out seasonal drinks together. Made it a mission to find the best seasonal drink. The pair of you would go around to different cafes trying out the limited time drinks. Although both of you became leery of peppermint drinks after having one that tasted like toothpaste. Playing rock, paper, scissor to see would be the sacrificial lamb whenever you came across a peppermint flavored drink. A gingerbread hot chocolate ended up a hidden jem.

•Late night walks to admire the lights. Seungmin would keep one arm wrapped around you for warmth. The two of you would just stroll around the streets admiring how pretty the hung up lights made everything. Stopping to take a few photos together when you found a location to be extra beautiful. These late night walks turned out to be very therapeutic despite the cold nipping at your faces. Just enjoying each other's presence and appreciating the multi-colored lights, brightening up the dark.

Junhan/Hyeongjun

•Baking cookies together. Hyeongjun loved baking cookies with you. It was a time filled with laughter and joy. Always somehow managing to make some misshapen cookies or accidentally decapitate poor gingerbread men. You guys worked your way through a list of different types of cookies, to see which ones you liked the best. Sharing the cookies with others was nice too. It seemed like there were always cookies lying around somewhere filling your place with a delicious scent.

•Having movie nights. Watching movies with a nice warm drink and snacks was a great indoor, out of the cold activity that both you and Hyeongjun enjoyed. The cozy atmosphere created with the blankets draped over you guys and a scented candle burning. Watching Christmas movies to help build the spirit was fun, but you didn’t only watch them. Movies of all genres worked just as well. Occasionally the movie would only be background noise to your conversations or filling the silence as you both snoozed away on the couch.

Jooyeon

•Unexpected snowball fights. It was a game the two of you played. Seeing if you could catch the other off guard and what better way to do that than throwing a handful of snow at them? It always leads to an impromptu snowball fight since you can’t let them get away with it. Maybe it was a bit childish, but neither of you cared. It always elated you both. The fight would end with whipping the snow from each other’s clothes and warm hugs. Then going back on your merry way.

•Sledding. The pair of you deemed it one of the best winter activities. Complaining about the hike up the steep hill was inevitable, but the ride down made it well worth it. The two of you would race each other down the hill and as punishment the loser would have to carry the sled back up the hill. As fun as it was, it was also a very tiring activity. After arriving home and changing your clothes you guys would just slumped down onto the couch and take a nap together.

i just finished reading chapter 50 of jtta and oh my gosh. i don’t even know where to start.

jtta is SUCH an amazing work of art that my words fall short.. it’s rlly the best fanfiction i have EVER read and i’m sure it’ll continue to be my Number One forever. your writing style is absolutely beautiful and your choice of words is IMMACULATE. the way you describe certain scenes truly baffles me everytime like,, there’s people out there who are really able to write like this?? they can magically plant a mental imagine w colors and all in my head from??? Words only??? u r so amazing omf

38. If/when they have kids, what is their parenting style (or pets-who does what)?

Ah, so this is their one problem. Achilles is cat coded and Patroclus is a dog person. Achilles hates dogs, so can’t be pet parents. They’re just going to have to have babies, then.

Achilles is THE embarrassing (cringe) parent. He is a very active parent, involved in EVERYTHING. He does a lot of hovering, wanting to make sure his babies are okay and get everything they need. He cries about everything, first time baby walks, first loose tooth, first day of school, graduation, recital etc. For the first day of Uni, Achilles will act like his baby is abandoning him. He requires lots of hugs and kisses from his babies. And very sentimental too, he will frame every piece of art baby draws. I guess you could say that his life will revolve around his babies. He has too much separation anxiety to ever be one of those working parents.

Patroclus is a normal parent, or at least Achilles makes him look normal. He’s usually the one who says no mostly bcs someone in the family has to say no. He gives the best advice. If baby had any problems, Pat would know how to fix it. Pat is always proud of his babies, no matter what grades they get etc.

39. Do they get along with the other's family? If not, how do they deal with the other's family?

I don’t actually think Thetis dislikes Patroclus. It’s all in his head that his MIL is out to get him. She can be a bit tough on him, true, but she only wants what’s best for her son. She’s a little easier on him once she gets some grandbabies. I think Thetis would visit regularly once there’s grandbabies.

Peleus isn’t very good with kids. He doesn’t know what to do with them. Or he at least never knew what to do with Achilles and all his energy. He always let Achilles have or do whatever he wanted as it was easier than dealing with a 4-yo having a screaming tantrum so bad he passes out.

Peleus is old country club money friends with Menoetius, so the match with Patroclus is alright with him. Perhaps if Patroclus was more into cigars and old scotch and was a member at the club, then they’d get along grand. But he doesn’t, so Peleus doesn’t really know how to bond with him. They are very polite with each other. It used to stress Pat out that he needed to get Peleus’ approval, but he’s come to terms with who Peleus is. Whenever he’s around grandbabies he gives them money and a pat on the head. He visits for birthdays and holidays.

The Menoetius situation could be best described as a ticking time bomb.

Menoetius thinks there’s something wrong with Achilles and is not marriage material. He usually keeps his distance. He liked that his son and Achilles were friends, it’s a good connection, but Achilles is more fuck buddy material than anything more serious. Menoetius was a BIG fan of Pat’s ex-girlfriend (more about that in a sec). Each time they broke up he would try to set Pat up with some nice, normal girls to help him get back in the game and steer clear of Achilles.

Achilles is always very polite and nice to his FIL, despite the uneasiness. He is completely obvious to Menoetius’ feelings.

Okay, so about the “ex-girlfriend”… Well. There are days when Achilles feels rather femme. On these days, which are random, she prefers to be called Pyrrha. Now Pyrrha could best be described as High Femme. Think of the girliest girl you know, Pyrrha is girlier.

There were four occasions where Menoetius met Pyrrha. The first was an absolute nightmare. Pat was like ‘haha take off the disguise and get serious we’re about to have lunch with my father.’ Pyrrha was insulted. Frustrated Pat was like ‘Stop it you’re doing this for the bit’ and Pyrrha screamed ‘This is not a bit this is who I am.’ And it just crumbled into their first real argument. After a lot of tears, Pyrrha won. And so, Menoetius got to meet Pyrrha. Pat can’t bring himself to tell his father the truth.

Since no two sources can agree on who Pat’s mom was, I think it’s better we go with the hc she’s dead.

first, those arts are fucking GORJUS my sweettums. as someone who has lost the ability to draw, that is beautiful. i used to think of becoming a free style painter or to learn how to draw digital but somewhere along the way i just gave up and decided to simply settle on writing instead. even now, when i see art tiktok or recommendations of compilation videos on yt, i feel a bit of an ache in my chest. its just there, y’know?

second, i think you should do for it. maybe try opening up an account on a platform ur incredibly familiar with. perhaps tumblr? or even ig? or even tiktok works too! just any platform you feel safe and comfortable and know how to navigate is good.

and yeah, i can def say felt to the “it will make my mental health worse if i only get 2 likes or smt” bc same same same. i try to write good and capture the characters’ personality correctly while keeping the fic ‘alive’ only to end up with like,,,, hundreds of likes but no feedbacks or reposts or smt LMAOOO

What is Eddsworld about?

3 British idiots (and occasionally an additional Norwegian one) have silly misadventures in a long-running animated webshow. There’s been zombies and clones to fight, movies to make and even a trip down to hell AND Atlantis. It’s a bit of a wacky show.

To make a short story long, Eddsworld was made initially in 2003 by Edd Gould, and featured him and his friends as the main characters. Over the years after Gould passing from leukaemia in 2012, the show, show crew and fandom has seen some rocky times (I could make a tome of lore about all this but NO THANKS), but is still a fond spot in many people’s hearts - including mine. Without coming across it in late February 2013, I genuinely wouldn’t have a foundation for my current art style and the push to pursue my passions in animation.

That and if you come into Eddsworld fandom (not recommended if you go into the main body, just find a few folks and stick with them), be expected to draw a LOT of hoodies and develop an annoying (affectionate) habit of making puns.

So who are the three British idiots anyway? Keep in mind: while they were initially based off IRL Edd and his friends, they’re not the same as them and are seperate things. It’s seen as VERY disrespectful to keep using IRL surnames for the characters, so we often substitute our own made-up or similar-sounding ones.

Edd: Head of the trio, brown hair, green hoodie. Looks like the most normal. Is not, really. The artistic one and pun-maker. Loves cola to a fault, to a point where in canon, his future self went back in time to kill his past self because cola got banned globally. (And it’s the highest ranked Eddsworld episode and the one with the most views.)

Edd is my personal favourite character and I will fight on the hill for him to have a good Edd-centric story that isn’t about shipping him with the other lads or as an angst punching bag. He doesn’t even get enough fanart as the title character of his own show! Let my boy have PEACE AND A FUN TIME FOR ONCE.

Tom: Blue hoodie, spiky hair, weird eyes. The grumpy ‘voice of reason’, but he is also not immune to the Shenanigans. Often the alcoholic, but less so in canon. Has a beloved monster form since it was seen in the eddisode PowerEdd. If you’re asking why his eyes are Like That, we don’t have a concrete answer either. Are they voids? Portals to other things? Just black? Who knows? (The void though is my favourite bc it’s funny.)

Tom is one of the more popular characters of the fandom, and I can see why! However, as an Edd girlie myself, I will admit that it has been a bit TOO much to see over the years. Him and the Norwegian character, but that’s another story.

Matt: Ginger, purple hoodie and green overcoat. Highly narcissistic, with (and I quote the theme song here) ‘the intelligence of a kitchen shelf.’ Can often be found admiring himself in mirrors. Surprisingly has the highest body count of all his friends from over the episodes. Was at one point, a vampire from a Halloween special - that has still carried through into many fanon designs of him. And he was also leader of a zombie army too.

I remember a time when Matt wasn’t so popular as Tom and the Norwegian one, but now he’s just very shipped with the rest of his mates and given plenty of fanart as he likes. And good for him! Now at this point you'd expect me to talk about the Norwegian.

And you know what? No.

I respect him, I can enjoy him as a character and part of the unit with the boys, I can enjoy some takes on the concepts his latter days brought to the table, but overall? I would like to see him Goncharov'd OUT of relevancy.

That character has done too much damage on the fandom, tbh. The days in the fandom where he was basically nonexistent were peaceful. The final episodes of the Eddsworld Legacy season were a flashpoint (derogatory) and while it did unearth old (metaphorical) cursed relics from under the surface, I'm becoming more convinced by the year that he and his last two episodes have done MORE harm than good - stretching even into now!

I'd rather be careful to talk about him. And we don't make any mention of the person he was inspired by, just for the sake of the IRL man to be LEFT ALONE. As should most of the others and their families who played these characters.

Speaking of these kinds of things: A warning.

As for the more recent episodes in the Eddsworld Beyond season: tread with caution. From the first proper episode, people from the crew have been kicked off for genuinely serious reasons that are too dark to explain here and discourse has been rife about the current showrunners.

If you decide to take a look at what had happened - take everything with a grain of salt and come to your own conclusions. The bias can be easy to fall into one group or another so I strongly don't recommend to go looking for it. If you're here for a fun time, do NOT go near the discourse. Especially on tumblr.

So, rant aside, I'll stop myself here. If you want some recommendations on where to begin on Eddisodes:

The Zombeh Attack Trilogy (yes it's spelled like this on purpose): The lads encounter zombies. Not all of them will survive.

Ruined: The lads investigate an egyptian temple.

Spares: The lads get cloned by an evil director. Who is also an idiot.

Hello Hellhole: The boys go to hell. For a vacation.

Moving Targets: The boys join the army.

The Zanta Claws Trilogy: The lads encounter and fight against a Zombie Santa Claus. Shenanigans ensue.

Matt Sucks: Halloween special in which Matt is bitten by a vampire.

Moviemakers: The lads make a movie.

WTFuture: Edd and his friends are chased after his murderous future self. Fan favourite, and if you only watch ONE Eddisode, I HIGHLY recommend this!

Hammer and Fail (Parts One AND Two): The lads try to renovate due to Matt's kleptomaniac tendencies. (Also the introduction to fan-favourite side characters.)

Space Face (Parts One AND Two): The last of Edd Gould's work and animation before his passing and the start of the Legacy season. The lads get abducted by aliens.

Hide and Seek (minisode): Matt tries to play the titular game.

Fun Dead: The lads go to a zombie-infested theme park.

Mirror Mirror (minisode): We meet the genderbend version of the lads and spend the time with the girls, Ell, Tamara and Matilda! (I've also lost count how many times I've cosplayed as Ell. Best girl, you can't change my mind.)

PowerEdd: Edd gets superpowers and has a rivalry with his neighbour.

Saloonatics: The radically different art style and some of the story was quite divisive among fans upon release, but has now become a beloved cult classic. A spiritual sequel to WTFuture, we go back in time and encounter 'ancestor' characters of the lads in the wild west.

Surf and Turf (Part One): (Shh part two is currently in production) The lads go to the beach. What could go wrong?

Obviously I don't know him, but I feel like Oliver (and many others) like this style for a few reasons:

As you said, it's trendy! The internet's facilitation of the increase in knowledge of and popularity of tattoos/artists/styles over the last ~15 years is really quite something, ain't it! Even as I was graduating from high school, when I spent a LOT of time consuming tattoo-related content online (but before instagram was a thing LOL), it was really common for someone who wanted to get a tattoo to just, walk into the closest tattoo studio near them and explain to the guy behind the counter what they want and hope for the best lol.

Now people can look at and share hundreds or even thousands of pictures of tattoos online via social media. And just like with makeup, clothes, etc., certain styles of tattoos have always been popular for its time amongst the tattooed crowd: Americana style with military personnel starting in the 30s, the movement away from pre-drawn designs to cater instead towards drawing customized tattoos for a client in the 70s and 80s, the increase in pop culture subject matter like Looney Toons and Disney cartoons in the 90s, and of course that thick black "tribal" style EVERYONE had in the late 90s/early 00s are just what immediately come to my mind. “Fine line/micro” tattoos have just been the hot new thing so far in this newfangled age of social media.

I'm gonna take a kind of educated guess and say this style originates from artists showing off online their ability to create such small images in the tattoo medium, because as the occupation has evolved over time so too has the tattoo equipment and techniques involved. Now it’s possible for artists to hone in and tout their skills on social media in tattooing with tiny individual needles to create these dainty smol fine line tattoos in a more democratized system of engagement and feedback.

Smaller sized tattoos can be more discreet, which a lot of people like for a lot of reasons! I think a big reason why a lot of people in Hollywood get small tattoos is to be able to hide them for work. Fandom jokes about how the make up department must hate covering them all but its actually not too big of a deal when they’re all small like his are. Much easier to cover up and blend in a dozen tattoos the size of a postage stamp than say, Ryan Guzman’s entire forearm lol

Looking back at some other posts detailing all of the tattoos that Oliver has (I’m sure you know what post I’m talking ab but I don’t necessarily want to link to their blog bc they obviously love Oli’s tattoos and I’m not trying to swerve into their lane lol), it seems like he potentially did not have the best experience with the first couple of tattoos he got. He apparently thinks his forearm tattoo is too big (I’d argue it’s too small to be properly legible but lol) and dislikes it because of that, and I can see how that could also effect what size he thinks his tattoos should be.

((AND LISTEN!!!! To anyone who might be reading this rn and getting upset with me, I am NOT saying small tattoos can’t look good!! But rule of thumb: the smaller the tattoo, the simpler the design needs to be for legibility and longevity’s sake!))

I’ve already made a post explaining some of my issues with this (comparatively) new style so I won’t repeat myself here, but I will piggy back off a point you made: “posting healed pics after three weeks” because those tattoos may be healed but they are not settled into the skin. I would encourage anyone wanting to get this style of tattoo to really, really, really look  (you may find it difficult to find healed photos from some of these artists. huh! weird!!!) for healed photos from an artist you are considering getting work from. I’m talking at least a full year (which even still is nothing relatively speaking but it IS a newer style so) because I see SOOOO MANY fine line tattoos that did not have enough ink deposited into the skin during application and they just fall out so so quickly as a result.

Also LOLing over this apprentice already working on skin when they apparently can’t control their machine correctly enough to draw straight even-thickness lines ALL WHILE CHARGING CLIENTS $400+?? please be serious the mediocrity here is truly astounding

Look live action will always scare me to the extent that I’ve hit a point where I almost don’t care about rivens potential race anymore but honestly I just wanna know HOW THEY GONNA DO THE ANTI GRAVITY MAGENTA ONION HAIR since the new live action will apparently focuse on more “animation accuracy” I’m curious what is gonna happen with it and how it’ll look😭 tbh I’m kinda manifesting that if they refuse to do like full on magenta hair he’ll at least have like magenta dip dye or smth🤪 tbh I’d the spikey hair doesnt work irl I’d kinda dig a ponytail or manbun to kinda emulate the silhouette of an elevated hair look but that’s probably like just me but I’m excited to see what they will do with his hair😭

On the topic of the ethnicity of the specialists I think one thing I always liked about them is that because they weren’t based off irl celebrities nor do they ever specify races in the magic dimension, I like to think that everyone can have their own hcs Abt them if they’re more ambiguous. Like I guess it might get rlly confusing with helia and Saadin Bcs of helia supposedly taking a more East Asian appearance while Saladin has more southwest inspiration so I guess in terms of genetics it may not rlly seem logical to some? Like I guess for me mentally I used to think riven was East Asian like musa when I was rlly young because as an East Asian who grew up in a homogenous country I always remember interracial dating being looked down upon and super unconventional where I was from and I guess I just accidentally projected and assumed since I was a kid. Oh if you wanna hear something about inteprations: both me and my mom thought Aisha was mixed latina and black because her hair texture doesn't have that much volume, especially next to Stormy who's hair looks far more kinky than Aisha's did. Her hair being limp and looking more curly than kinky or coily is definitely at its worst in Harmonix, which is the season I stopped watching at growing up. S6+7 are the best at giving Aisha's hair volume, which is ironic because that's when the couture art style set in, but neither me nor my mom saw that

If your wondering, its mostly the way her hair tapers off, and how it goes mostly down instead of out. It makes her hair look 3 range, which is like my mixed kid hair and less like my mother's

1. Who was your first ever OC? Do you still “use” them? How have they evolved over time?

first ever oc was one i made when i was like 3-4 with my grandma and i called her nature girl. she was a superhero plant woman fairy thing—very inspired by that one green fairy from neopets as i got older lol. but i don’t use her at all she’s not really my style anymore tho i do still enjoy fairies. i think it’d be interesting to try and give her a form or design—a revamp of some sort, and i tried in like 2015 i think but i don’t feel like trying to find that sketchbook lol. it doesn’t do her justice but maybe i’ll try again one day.

6. Do you have any OCs without stories? Will you ever create one for them?

quite a bit but sorta—mostly bc all of my characters have at least a bare bones general gist about them? however between characters i only draw or characters that were abandoned from old wips with my ex/roleplays that i don’t do anymore i do have some. i usually try to repurpose these ocs; like di, toph, quill, red, hel (all came from the same now defunct universe for example) but there are some that just kind of exist in limbo bc they’re so tied to their stories i can’t figure out what to do with them (an example is aslin rou eliduel; a fae esque dude) or i just can’t think of much to do with them (like utah & gator as an example). soooo i wanna do stuff with all my ideas if i can but i’ve accepted that sometimes it takes time or maybe it won’t happen at all lol.

7. What are your favourite relationships between your OCs? (romantic or platonic!)

i have a LOOOOT of favorite relationships across my wips. amon & hya are the obvious chief otp but here are some of my other favorites:

TCOL: by nature of having a huge cast i have a lot of favorite relationships but clear x forte, lath & ensio (i’m extremely not normal about them), piper & saith (ugh… the unrequited really hits the spot for me idk), erik x dion (THEM!!!!!), cameron x jihi (ouGhHh), and altair x charissa i’m not normal about

carlos & jenna from TLSS are my literal everything do not separate. also the polycule from donut wip of julissa, andres, saul, daisy, and joaquin is 🤌🏾🤌🏾. juls and juvia’s sisterhood makes me emo also

GOD EATER: not normal about naveah & little bear or taj x thei or the four of them in any aspect. also while lucifer x ava / lucifer x kyu is SLIGHT crack i’m still 👀
