yuuta exhibits such previously abandoned, recently adopted dog behavior. incredibly anxious all the time, even though nobody’s out to get him or leave him behind. waits for you to return home or from school or from work excitedly, just to see you when you walk through the door. follows you around senselessly, hovering in your space just for the sake of companionship. initiates affection in prodding ways��starts off next to you, then a hand on your thigh, then deems it safe to lay all the way down, then slowly pushes his head into your lap. gets up whenever you need to get up, and resumes his position as soon as you’re ready. brings you gifts as a sign that he’s thinking of you, and maybe because he likes the affection it brings out in you, maybe because he likes the gentle affirming touches of a hand in his hair or a pinch to his cheek. rests his head on your stomach or his chin on your shoulder when he’s sleepy, stays there, immobile, and will not move unless absolutely necessary. sometimes he gets surprised when he hears you calling for him, there’s a moment of disbelief as he thinks “me? really? you need me?” but it’s very quickly overshadowed by this compulsive need to show up, to please, to do anything for you, which is why he always answers when you call. he doesn’t realize that he has puppygod eyes, especially when he’s excited or confused, but he does and it’s incredible endearing. very reluctant to share your space or attention after a while, considers that to be sacred and he won’t risk being let go or lost again, so as a safety precaution, he keeps himself right by you, waits for you always.

people can Famously do whatever they want especially when it comes to enjoying media and generally i find this to be a good thing. but unfortunately i am a strange and unusual autistic that generally sticks very very close to canon. all this to say i don’t Get It when people headcanon k_k deltarune as using they/them Only or even she/her Only when he has literally been referred to with ‘he’ by one of the people presumably closest to him(brothers to me)

for the record i think he is he/they. i think all three of them are he/they. maybe even canonically but people fight me on this one (really just capn and kk since sweet has only indirectly been referred to as they like in the following screenshot from the wiki (bc I didn’t want to watch a video of their fight to screenshot and crop flavor text) BUT they’re still called by generally masculine terms alongside the other two like ‘guys’ (ost “almost to the guys”) and ‘young men’ (by seam)) (and they use overly-masculine self-referential pronouns in japanese, along with capn)

like im Fairly Certain the individual of scc are still the only one being lost in the groove in dance x. the “they” in ‘they’re totally lost in the groove’ is still Just One of scc. I don’t believe the fun gang are lost in the groove bc honestly they don’t talk like any of this fight was fun for them HSHSHDNDHDJDJ

also incase it isn’t clear i think it’s chill to add on she/her to k_k’s pronouns. people can famously do whatever they want especially when it comes to enjoying media and generally I think this is good. but saying they use she/her (or they/them) ONLY and not In Conjunction With is where I go “well. no. the game called him he. so he/him has to be part of their pronouns?” and i recognize it’s probably petty and stupid to care about to like any degree but know I don’t say this with hate in my heart

I need the people who look at posts talking about Wyll's treatment in both the actual game and especially the fandom and respond with "but i don't like him and I think he's boring" to know that shutting the fuck up is 100% the better option 100% of the time. Him being the only origin character to not have at last 10 hours of content and the existence of mods that literally whitewash him and his dad - among everything else wrong with how Wyll is treated - are not suddenly okay because you, personally, as an individual, don't find him interesting, and your personal individual feelings about him are irrelevant to the issues surrounding his treatment in the bg3 community at large, so like. Wait for you to know that the hornsent npc was involved in the gruesome shaman/jars genocide , that information about him ( the description of his mask) shocked me tbh ...

Okay, first I didn't mind this ask because I am yet to have him drop his set in the game and there is time for everything, but today I woke up to someone else screaming this information at me so fdshfdsh I decided to check the descriptions and the character!

I have noticed that his mask looks like that of the guys whose asses I kicked in Bonny Village, just wasn't investigating. But here are the other things from his equipment:

His legs and arm piece are also exclusive to him! So, this is something I've concluded about it

1) All pieces of his clothes are exclusive to him, except for the mask, whereas Potentates enemies wear ONLY this mask! I'd say that the guy is wearing this mask for it's functionality: "to ward off thoughts of impurity, doubt, temptations, and other wickedness". So, him and Potentates are wearing it as sort of charm, although (and most likely) for different reasons! Hornsent guy wears it so nothing distracts him from revenge! Like... it is just a headwear they have in their culture, just that Potentates """need""" it the most.

2) He is not using their trademark cleaver weapon! Moreover, the description of his trademark weapon, Falx, makes it look like he only stepped on the path of murder to begin with specifically for revenge, rather than having already been wielding a weapon and doing a bit of rebranding!

3) He mentions Belurat and eating the soup from there long ago! (you can get scorpion soup from Grandam by talking to her while wearing Divine Beast's mask and then give it to him) His starting position is also in Gravesite Plains next to the archway that leads you there, which is very distant from Bonny Village. Bonny is a short walk away from the Shadow Keep while the Hornsent seems to be journeying to it, all the while he tracks Miquella's crosses (beginning of course from Gravesite Plains)

4) Bonny Village is just weirdly intact and doesn't show clear signs of Messmer's invasion. It more so resembles the abandoned villages in the Lands Between. The Hornsent, however, lost his mother, wife and child to the invaders.

5) From timeline standpoint, there likely were no more shamans left to butcher by the moment Messmer turned in and his family was burnt!

The idea for Medic's first name being Herbert is ofc based on Herbert West but I'm still sold on Eberhard because for other people, it sounds really funny to English speakers and fits the TF2 vibe that way. More importantly to me, though, after Schoener because 1) Medic has been "stock German" for too long with references to all sorts of cities and regions and an inconsistent accent, neither of which reflect the city he's from 2) I think it would be fun to highlight the musical motif which was very strongly ingrained into Medic in the late 2000s-early 2010s and everyone at Valve forgot about 3) It adds to Medic's whole thing of seeming way older than he's implied to be.

Determined and head strong, can out-stubborn the Batman, has a strong moral-backbone and does what he thinks is right regardless of what anybody else says, Robin. Jason who, if Bruce refused him something, could keep bothering endlessly until Bruce caved. And also dramatic Jason. If Bruce tells him no, it becomes a whole theatrical show; a monologue, a narration, embellishments, and falling onto the floor in his grief upon the fact his cruel father has denied him once again.

(Jason who has suffered through abuse and homelessness and poverty and starvation, who is the Fight out of Fight or Flight, who's built up defenses and walls and when pushed and triggered responds with the thing that's always protected him; anger. He's sweet and kind and funny, and when he sees a pimp hitting a prostitute he gets furious and responds with violence.)

if i can be so real for a minute, the saltburn fandom is not very large and not very old... and yet i have had SO many odd convos. usually about farleigh but sometimes about other stuff. i've been called obnoxious so many times for mentioning everything that comes with farleigh's character but it's in the movie for a reason, man. i'm venting. "what does XYZ have to do with this?" bro idk maybe the fact that it was included in the movie, therefore i'm going to bring it up?

class, privilege, sexism, escapism, etc. are all important parts of this movie. so is race. i've gotten the most heat for talking about race and white privilege which is... not surprising tbh. sometimes i just want to be serious when everyone wants to be silly. if your silliness makes you apathetic to the rhetoric of the film and how some of it should be taken seriously... man. ouch. damaging to the psyche tbh.

a lot of the fandom is rly cool but ackkk i've been on my toes. i've been encountering some irl felix cattons...

have been thinking about professor sol even. professor bufo with no clearly discernable lesson plan. sol bufo ostensibly martial arts professor who spent two weeks running a yoga and meditation program and shows up to the next class with crochet hooks for everyone. professor bufo who is technically supposed to be assigning grades to students but hasnt given anyone less than an A because "i think they worked really hard and they did a great job :)" (referring to the ugliest and most malformed pot holder anyone has laid eyes upon in their life). professor bufo who is on his way to cluelessly kickstart the sexual awakening of about half the cohort of the academys new students. sol bufo adjunct professor who is gone half the year and his first class back is so immediately and easily baited into going into a long tangent about how cool his friends are. sol who is pretty sure hes easily the most useless professor on campus and almost cries when he sees his little desk overflowing with thank you notes at the end of the year. professor bufo absolutely fucking gloriously hot in the tightest little sweater vest because there were faculty complaints when he wore a crop top to class.
