i might be having a "guy whos only seen the boss baby" moment rn but like ive read worm and im currently reading the Locked Tomb series and my brain is making Connections between the characters in them.

but like theres something kind of similar between my 2 favoritest girlfailures Harrowhark Nonagesimus and Taylor Parahumans. Like theyre both fucked up creatures, theyre both so deeply intense about literally everything, theyre SOPPING wet beasts,,,,,

also they both have some kind of sapphic situationship bs going on that i can appreciate.

they both exist in a very particular part of my brain that makes me VERY normal about them, i think they should meet. they would fucking hate each other but it would be v interesting imo. i want to put them in a get along shirt

The hauntingly familiar man simply gave Atom a smile that could be described as... knowing.

"But I insist, Atom," - how did they know his code-name? - "That you are indeed special. The same could be said for any person or being, truly, but you have caught my eye in a way that most others do not."

That was true; the Worm tended to visit those who had strong ties to the fate of their worlds. Heroes, villains, people who were both or neither or something else entirely. It was simply just how they operated, how they tended to their little garden that was Creation to ensure there was no unnecessary stagnation.

The man stood up from their seat - for a moment as they rose, the inner cloth of the jacket-like suit they wore could be seen. But there was no ordinary cloth - no, it looked as though they were a window through space and time itself, into the very heart of an entire galaxy.

"I could explain who or what I am... but I think it would be better to show rather than just tell." The man extended out a pale hand in offering to the other. "Walk with me?"

It was like meeting a mixture of simple things that made a not-so-simple even bigger presence come to life. Somehow, it felt like the person before him was so... seemingly normal that they truly weren't -- as if it were a very elaborate act. The garments, their features, their demeanor, it was all something Atom wouldn't have expected out of anyone -- and this person handled it excellently. They were somehow... too perfect in their simplicity and elegance.

Wait, was it the eyes? Was that what seemed so... otherworldly? The way they glowed and matched? Was it the way he felt so familiar yet so... unknown? He was unsure, but he still stood, waiting to discover this unprecedented mystery. Even the answer that came from the other person left more questions than answers. They were not normal, not at all, yet Atom could not pinpoint who or what they were. Even the voice coming out, the feeling it left inside him told him nothing of this encounter was a coincidence.

"No,... not I," he starts to sign back at the... individual in front of him, because somehow he knew that the person would understand sign language without a problem. Though he feels like he may be sucked into a void of nothingness the more he tries delving into the unknown, he just cannot keep himself from not knowing. "You are the special one, but I do not know why-- or how... What are you? Why are you here?"

What if the Pale King locked himself away in the Dream Realm to recreate what he did to the Hollow Knight? After the Vessel leaked and he realized that it most likely had capability enough to suffer, but far far too late to even hope to do anything to fix it. He was beyond the point of no return, there was nothing he could do to undo the Sealing. And even if he could, there were no other options that he could think of of what to do about the Blazing Light.

He had no choice but to keep the Vessel sealed. No choice but to watch his kingdom crumble. There was nothing he could do.

Nothing, but to seal himself away in a self-imposed punishment in the exact same way he imparted onto his only (known) living child.

A weak attempt to impose the same agony onto himself as he forced onto them.

And should the people of his kingdom stop worshiping him and forget he exists, dwindling his power and life to a pathetic end?

Well...

Perhaps that might've been for the best.

Im rlly loving how my room is turning out... Im cleaning it out cuz im moving soon (fr this time. My mom got a solid job offer ^^) i wish I've gotten some before and afters... My room gets less and less cluttered everyday, it's so awesome! I wish the decision making on what to keep and get rid of wasn't so draining... Tho it'll be worth it to get out of this dump!
