We share the love language of biting. Now imagine TWST beatsfolk has that as an actual sign of courting. Like you're chilling with Leona, not dating or wooing him, and then you bite his cheek in affection. And all of Savanaclaw is shocked because among them, it's the same as i.e. proposing marriage. The utter chaos XD
OHH MY GOSSSHHH YOUR BRAIN >>> I LITERALLY LOVE THIS SO MUCH??? HAHAHA SODEFHSELKJD i'm gonna expand on that for a few characters...
Accidentally courting them
General warnings: Gender-neutral reader, not really proof read lol. Obvious Malleus and Lilia favoritism <3 I also decided that they ARE dating in this scenario, I think its cuter that way in my head heuheu
Featuring: Leona, Ruggie, Jack, Malleus, Lilia, ... and Rook HAHA.
TW: none! Just a bunch o' fluff of biting your non-human lover without realizing it was a sign of courtship <3
Leona
It was a typical day for Leona. You two were sitting in the lounge where most of the other students lingered, Leona becoming rather... possessive as of late. Instead of resting in his bedroom away from prying eyes as you had requested from your lover, he ignored all your feeble cries requesting privacy. Instead, he holds you in his lap without worrying what others are thinking. A form of showing others you were his, and his alone. You were conflicted in your feelings, staring at him. His eyes were closed, but he could feel your gaze burning into his head.
"How long are you-" Then it happened. You gave in. You gave his cheek a bit of a nibble. All of the sudden the chattering stopped, all eyes were on you, before they start patting Leonas back and giving him congrats while a few seemed to pull presents right out of their asses.
"Wha- what's going on?" Leona grumbled with a light blush before growling and pushing the face of someone who tried to hand him another gift.
"You all look like idiots! You know biting means something different to us. Don't be dumb." Okay, now you were extra confused. Seeing your utter ignorance, Leona sighed.
"Biting in our land is a sign of courtship, herbivore." ...Oh. You blush deeply and hide your face in his chest, Leona looking away flustered and ruffling your hair.
"Try again in a few years, and I just might bite you back."
Ruggie
You were walking down the halls with your boyfriend when suddenly you had the urge to just...bite him. an overwhelming sense of love and affection for the fact he had given you some of the bread he (probably legally) got ahold of. You smiled fondly at the bread and back at Ruggie before placing your mouth on the bulb of his shoulder, causing him to yelp in suprise and dropping his half of the bread.
"wha- huh?! What was that for?" He became flustered, bending over to pick up his bread and slowly move away from you with bright red cheeks. You furrowed your eyebrows and hugged yourself, almost embarrassed.
"I'm sorry, I just...I dunno," Your cryptic and non specific response left him with his jaw open and eyes wide, spluttering out things like "We're still in school! I don't have the funds yet-" before a familiar fist came and knocked the back of Ruggies head. Leona stood there smiling in amusement and chuckling at you.
"I don't think they know what that means to us beastman, Ruggie." Even more confused then before, you asked for clarification.
"You just asked him to marry you with that bite of yours, herbivore." Now YOUR mouth was wide open, and Ruggie managed to get flee from the scene without much notice from you nor his senior.
Oh brother. You have a lot of communicating to do with that one.
Jack
You were sitting at the lunch table eating away at your food when you noticed...Jack's biceps. You marveled at the sight of his bulky arms- it's a wonder to you how he managed to become so strong and have the motivation to train all day. With a burst of admiration, instead of biting into your sandwich - you took a bite into his muscle. He yelped in suprise and just stared at you, face slowly turning red. Ace and Deuce laughed at his reaction, ready to ask you what was up before Jack took it upon himself to... well, flustered and rapidly spit-firing plans.
"W-we are still so young! Are you sure about this? I-i never knew our relationship was at this level!" He grabbed both of your hands and looked you in your (bewildered) eyes.
"If you're serious about this, I promise I will protect and love you for the rest of my life. But before we go ahead with the ceremony, I want you to meet my parents and get their blessings. Oh, and I need to get a stable job after we finish school first, too, so I can support you and our future. know we haven't talked about marriage before but-" You quickly cut him off in astonishment before crying out,
"MARRIAGE?! Jack, WHAT are you talking about?! I am absolutely not ready for marriage! What got into you?!"
...Queue Ruggie and Leona hysterically laughing at your utter confusion, reveling in the ignorance of it all for a few moments longer before explaining properly what you had just committed yourself unknowingly to.
Malleus
You were laying in the bed of Malleus Draconias's dorm, scrolling on your phone whilst his tail wrapped around your waist as he sat next to you reading a book. You sighed lightly and leaned your head back against the board of the mattress, turning slightly to look at your handsome fae lover. Your eyes then went down to his pale and perfect skin of his neck, the way it was free from all blemishes, smooth, and bright. Something about it made you want to taint it a light shade of red... He felt you shuffle slightly to adjust your body to be in just the right position where his neck was in full view. He glanced over to you feeling you wriggle free from his tails grasp, tilting his head seeing the look in your eyes crazed as you leaned over and just...chomped down on his collarbone.
You felt his tail twitch and his hands quickly throw the book he was reading aside to grasp your wrists, turning your body around and pinning you to the bed and carrassing your cheek with his tail.
"Biting..." He murmured, "Does this mean the same to humans as it does to Fae? You wish to be wed?" Your jaw dropped and cheeks took on a rosey hue, stuttering over yourself.
"W-wed?! I mean, I like to bite when I feel affectionate b-but marriage...I mean maybe one day b-but-"
"Biting in Fae culture is a sign of courtship and ownership. How brazen of you to mark me," he chuckled, "I shall take it you wish to own the next king of Briar Valley?" You could tell at this point Malleus was teasing you, something he picked up from the time you two have been dating.
Malleus could not help but return the favor by riddling your body with his own bite marks. Although he understood you perhaps did not have the intention of marrying him with your silly little form of affection, he knew in his mind with every bite that he was very serious about your future with him.
Lilia
Lilia already knew that biting in the human world did not mean marriage, yet was akin to something more of "cute aggression." So when you have the habit of biting him in the privacy of yours or his room, he knows you simply meant it as a form of affection, letting him know that you had an overwhelming sense of love for the old fae. He bit you back consistently on many occasions, it just seemed to be the perfect form of showing love for one another.
You didn't actually know it meant something much deeper, until you were in the diasomnia lounge and unable to control yourself as you grabbed Lilias hand and bit down gently on his wrist. You couldn't help it, he was being so entirely silly and loving towards you, that you couldn't help but show this public display of affection. Much to everyone else's dismay, however. Sebek stares at you with his mouth agape, sounds of disbelief escaping past his lips yet a sentence unable to form. Malleus as well seemed surprised at this.
"(y/n)," Malleus said, "You wish to marry Lilia?" You coughed at the sudden question and let out a feeble and awkward chuckle.
"I mean...I wouldn't mind one day, of course. We haven't really talked about it. Why the sudden question?"
"HOW DARE YOU," Sebek cried out after finally finding his words, "How dare you bite Lilia and be so insolent as to not move forward with your actions in dignity! YOU MUST TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR PROPOSAL-" Lilia started snickering, cutting Sebek off with a wave of his hand.
"It's quite alright, Sebek. Biting means something much different to humans than Fae, I suppose this is the first you had seen us put on a show of affection, hence your confusion." He turned to you, who had furrowed eyebrows and pursed lips at Sebeks sudden outburst.
"Biting, my dear, is a form of courtship to us fae. It is a sign of ownership," He chuckled.
"Why didn't you tell me that?!" You exasperated, "I mean, it wouldn't have changed anything I have done, but I would have been more careful about it... especially if it means something more to you," Lilia gracefully explained he understood it meant something slightly different to humans, before gently grabbing your hand and raising it to his mouth.
"Well, now that you understand what it means," He put your ring finger into his mouth and took a bite at the base,
"Would you like to bite me once more, my dear?"
Bonus:
Rook
You bit his arm and he immediately was on one knee.
"Was that a proposal? You know mon cheri, biting one affectionately is often a declaration of courtship-" You hit the top of his head and walked away from your interesting boyfriend.
"You're not a beastman or a fae! I'm never biting you again!" Your face red and folding your arms, turning away (ah, his cute tsundere lover.)
Oh woe is Rook! He begs and begs you to bite him more, he wants to be covered in your marks. It means you were claiming him as your own, right? RIGHT??
~~~
Getting caught masturbating by Ace, Zoro, and Luffy? XD
Hey, hey! Oh my goodness, talk about living rent free in my head. Thanks so much for planting this seed. I hope you like what I’ve written for you. 💜💜
CW: NSFW, MDNI, gn!reader, headcanons/scenarios, both are tipsy in Zoro’s part, reciprocated feelings
Catching you masturbating (Ace, Zoro, Luffy)
Ace
Watching you dancing from across the room was the lure needed to pull him towards you. The way you swayed your hips enticed him to join you in your alluring motions. With flirtatious whispers being exchanged, the spark was clearly there which led to an almost ravenous lust.
You suddenly ran off in the middle of your flirty conversation. With all your rubbing against each other and his wandering hands, he was at a loss for words when you excused yourself. At first thinking that you just had to use the bathroom, you’d been gone long enough to let the worries of pushing you too far fill his mind.
He wanted to give you the space you may have needed, but the urge to smooth over any discomfort he’d possibly caused overshadowed that. Going off to search for you, he passed by all your most favored spaces on the ship yet couldn’t find you. Standing in front of the bedroom door, he lightly knocked before entering.
The sight of your flushed cheeks, panting face, and messy hair was the most pleasant way he could think of being welcomed into a room. When your lustful gaze settled on him, the arch in your back as you continued playing with yourself gave him a surge of fervor.
That beckoning you held in your eyes for him to come over to you was not going to go unsatisfied. He flashed you a cocky smile while he took his time walking over to you.
“You could have just asked for my help, you know,” he teased.
Zoro
He could tell you’d had a few drinks but so had he. Your flirtatious nature morphed into touchy feely and compliments, which he’d normally roll his eyes at, but that night he felt like indulging you a little—wanted to tease you a bit. The soft giggles and flush from the banter was beginning to be fun, though he wasn’t going to admit it outright.
Chugging the seemingly endless amounts of sake, he saw an intriguing look gleam in your eyes. “What is it?” He cocked an eyebrow at you.
“Could you come to my room in 10?”
With a puzzled expression, he couldn’t hide the suspicion in his tone, “Yeah?”
When you scampered away, he shrugged off your odd behavior and got back to guzzling down booze in the meantime.
Stopping at your door a little later than you’d asked him to, he opened it to find you with practically nothing on and satisfying your pent-up desire for him. His immediate response was to go wide-eyed and cheeks flush a deep red.
When his eyes darted from your exposed body to your face, the look you were giving him turned his flustered expression into a sly grin. “You look like you could use some help.”
Your nodding and soft gasps gave him more than enough incentive to give you what you’d been craving.
Luffy
Even though you and Luffy were very affectionate with each other, there wasn’t really anything romantic happening between you yet. With each morning waking up wrapped in each other’s arms, it was becoming harder and harder for you to ignore your own wants and needs to be physically intimate.
He tended to wake up before you, usually being pulled out of bed with his insatiable hunger. Accidentally waking you up, he blurted out an apology before scurrying off to the kitchen. After being jostled awake from the hot and heavy dream you were having, those lingering fantasies of you and Luffy were making it difficult to ignore your growing arousal.
Reaching between your legs, you indulged yourself in self-pleasure, quickly losing yourself in the sensations. The sheet had slipped off your hip and was now hugging your lower half perfectly, practically offering you up to whomever walked in the room.
Barging into the room to get you for breakfast, your exposed body was on full display for him. With your embarrassment leading you to cover up, you were perhaps even more shocked when he protested.
“W-wait, don’t stop,” he had a blush on his face but his eagerness helped him push past that. “Can I watch, just for a little bit?”
You hesitated but ultimately gave in—after all, you were looking for more intimacy with him. As you continued playing with yourself, your moans and trembles brought him closer to you and coaxed him into gently rubbing and kissing your legs.
“You really look like you’re enjoying yourself…Can I join in?”
Inspiration
For @writingjourney who requested a kiss from Secondo on a "place of insecurity" from this list.
Secondo x Reader
~ Your Papa notices you have been struggling writing a speech and does his best to help you... ~
Warnings: sappy and soft and sweet secondo, a bit of a play on the 'place of insecurity' but i think it works xD, reader is gn but i do use dolcezza as an endearment, sfw, 1,400k words (thank you to @ghuleh-recs for the dividers!)
“Quit that.”
At Secondo’s stern voice you froze, holding your breath and clenching your pen in your fist. You didn’t dare meet his gaze, knowing exactly what you’d see as soon as you looked at him: disappointment.
“Papa, I wasn–”
“You were.” You winced at the edge to his tone, something he must have noticed because he cleared his throat and continued in a much softer voice. “I can always tell.”
There was a fleeting moment in which you wanted to argue, to disagree that he didn’t know you as well as he thought. But despite how it could catch you off guard at times it also made you feel cared for. Wanted. To have someone, especially someone like Papa Secondo Emeritus, know you so well to be able to see what was going on.
“Sorry, Papa.”
His chair creaked and when you dared a glance his way you saw him walking towards your desk. It was late in the day so he was just in his suit pants and white button up, the robes long gone and probably in a heap at the bottom of his closet. The paint on his face was smudged, especially around his eyes and mouth, and your fingers twitched wanting to grab a makeup brush and fix it.
“You do not need to apologize to me, dolcezza.” He knelt down next to your chair with a quiet groan, wincing when his knees popped audibly. Leather covered hands reached out for the arms of your chair and he easily spun it so you were facing him. With a gentle touch he lifted a hand up and swiped his thumb across your forehead. “What’s going on in there, hmm?”
Feigning ignorance wouldn’t work, it never did with him, so you sighed, your body deflating and slouching in the chair before you answered, “I just-I just can’t get this right.”
“Get what right?” When you gestured vaguely at your desk he straightened up to glance at the mess of papers across it, grabbing one to quickly look it over and then turning to look at you with a raised eyebrow. “The speech? It’s just a silly thing for mass, you’ve written them before.”
“Yes but this one is important. Don’t roll your eyes at me Papa, it’s true!”
“Important how? Because of those imbellici from Rome?”
“They’re not imbeciles!” You slapped Secondo’s hand away when he picked up a page that was mostly doodles. “And even if they were, they're still the ones in charge of funding.”
“So?”
“So? Are you even listening?” When he rolled his eyes you barely resisted the urge to stab him in the neck with your pen. “This needs to be perfect, absolutely perfect, so we can secure more funding for the church.”
You turned away from him and stared down at your desk. It was taking all your concentration not to cry, especially as you looked over your notes and half-written paragraphs. Secondo wasn’t getting it. This was why you were here, not just in his office but at the church. You were hired to help with writing speeches, press releases and anything of the sort. If you failed at this, why would they keep you around?
Why would Secondo keep you around?
“Dolcezza?” When you didn’t answer him he turned your chair again, his hands resting on your knees. He gave each a brief squeeze before slowly moving them up your thighs until they stopped at your hips. Only then did you look his way, immediately getting trapped by those gorgeous eyes of his. “Shut up.”
“Hey!”
“No, you will shut up and listen to me. Okay?” He raised an eyebrow when you stayed silent, only continuing when you finally nodded your head. “You are incapable of anything but perfection. So I need you to stop listening to whatever the voice in your head is telling you and I need you to listen to me. Can you do this?”
“Yes, Papa.”
Secondo gave you a small smile before bringing his hands up to cradle your face. When he leaned close and pressed a gentle kiss to your forehead your breath caught in your throat.
“You are an extraordinary writer, amore. Far better than anyone else here. It doesn’t matter if it’s a speech for mass or something for the weekly newsletter, everything you do is perfetto.” He kissed you again in the same spot, this time his lips pressed more firmly into your skin. Like he could somehow transfer his words straight to your brain. When he pulled away he tilted your face up and your breath hitched again when you saw he was smiling. “Although I am especially fond of the bitchy emails you send Copia when he goes over budget.”
“Well, he deserves every one of those.”
You gave him a watery smile before ducking your head and sniffling. Secondo’s kind words surrounded you, much like his arms were as he wrapped them around your back and held you close. He rubbed his hands up and down your back reassuringly until you had your emotions under control, eventually leaning back in your chair. Secondo took a moment to swipe at the tears on your cheeks before cupping your face again, holding you still so he could lean in to kiss your lips this time. There was a twinkle in his eyes when he pulled away, the makeup on his lips even more smudged than before.
No doubt your lips didn’t look any better.
“Perhaps a change of scenery will help? What do you think?”
“Scenery?” Secondo stood up and started gathering all your papers, ignoring you when you tried to stop him. “You’re messing them up. Papa, wait!”
With your work in one hand he reached out with his other and grabbed one of yours, tugging you towards the door to his office.
“How does my room sound?”
“It sounds like a place where I'm not going to get much work done.”
At the door Secondo turned to you, a wicked smirk on his face as he dragged his eyes up and down your body.
“Then it’s a good thing I’ll be there to keep you on task, hmm?”
You snorted, moving past him to open the door and move out into the hallway. He gave your ass a light pat as you went by but you kept your eyes forward as you started to walk towards his quarters. Perhaps a little break would help clear your head. When you glanced back to sneak a look at him you couldn’t help but look him up and down as well. Your Papa looked handsome and sinful as he followed behind you. Like a gift from Lucifer himself.
A gift just for you.
With a grin you started to pick up the pace, your footsteps echoing around the otherwise empty hallway. Secondo was close behind you and when you blindly held a hand out towards him he quickly enveloped it in one of his own. Words were starting to swirl through your head, ideas for the speech tumbling over themselves. You needed to get to his room so you could write them down before you forgot.
“Hurry, Papa!”
“See? I’m helping already.”
You looked back at him, not surprised to see him wearing a familiar smug smile. Under any other circumstances it would have annoyed you like it usually did but right now? Right now you were nothing but thankful for it. He grunted when you turned and flung your arms around his neck, his own arms quickly going around your waist. Before he could ask what you were doing you were kissing him, making even more of a mess of his makeup.
“What can I say, Papa? You inspire me.” He was still looking smug when you pulled away with the bitter taste of his makeup on your tongue. “Quit that.”
“Just happy I could help, dolcezza.”
“Of course, Papa. What would I do without you?”
When you turned to start walking again he stopped you, his arms pulling you back towards him. His features had softened a bit, although at this point with how messy his makeup was he did look rather ridiculous.
“Luckily for us we won’t have to find out, will we?”
“No, Papa.” You couldn’t resist kissing him again. His chin, his lips, his beautiful nose…anywhere you could reach before you finally pulled away, your hands coming up to cup his face. “We won’t.”
If you'd like to be added/removed from the tag list (or if I accidentally left your name off) of this fic or any of my others please leave a comment or send me a dm! Thank you 💙
— polaroid love | yang jungwon
pairing: jungwon x reader
genre: fluff, romance, high school!au
word count: 1.5k
summary: wherein a series of polaroid pictures may be helping you realize your feelings towards jungwon
warnings: none really, just two mild swear words XD
a/n: i pulled memories from years ago for this but yeah it's been a while lol happy 20th to my baby wonie 🥺, wishing you the best for this milestone of your life 💕
— masterlist & wips — faq & navigation
"take pictures of me"
a high pitched voice alerts you at once, and it's unfortunately too cute for you to ignore each time he asks you that same phrase when you have a polaroid camera in your hands.
at any chance he gets.
you don’t mind it now, already getting used to the times when Jungwon would just come up to you for basically anything. in the past, you used to question why he acts like this towards you when he doesn’t to others. you’ve grown fond of him, his habits rather but that doesn’t mean that you don’t whisk him away each time he’s near you, be it during lunch or after school clubs.
he’s not hard to love really, with the way he cares for someone and how thoughtful he is in everything that he does, it’s no wonder that anyone would immediately fall in love with him easily.
not you, or yet you think. you’re not really sure at this point though your heart does this weird thing whenever he says your name these days. what’s strange is that you’ve known this as a sign since you’ve fallen in love before but you couldn’t figure out why you’ve been resisting it.
it’s definitely a you problem, not his but you don’t know what to do.
.
lunch is the only time where you can do this. developing the pictures from your polaroid which mostly consist of Jungwon posing cutely in each of them. honestly, you’ve been questioning why cause really could’ve deleted them but here you are instead, just because he’s been asking about it.
he was adamant about needing to have his own copies since he loves posting on socials.
and you, for whatever reason eventually complied, even choosing to do it now and here at school of all times.
looking at them one by one right now, you reminisce the times Jungwon made your heart race as you pick each one of the polaroid pictures. your heart races even more which freaks you out again even though you’re alone in this empty classroom so no one’s here to see you like this.
you’re dumb. really dumb for doing your best to not fall in love with him because it’s pointless. no one could blame you really with the amount of immature guys your age but Yang Jungwon’s different.
it’s funny how you’ve only realized it now, though you can’t exactly pinpoint when it started since you may have been feeling something for him without realizing it. this is not even complicated unlike your previous ones and you’re surprisingly loving the vibe of it, the feeling of falling in love.
you must’ve been staring at them intently that you didn’t realize someone was entering the room and sneaking up on you.
“do you finally love me?” the very familiar voice asks behind you and you let out a surprise shriek, getting up from the chair to give some distance from him.
“what the hell!” you’re not really annoyed but more so mortified that he, out of all people caught you at this kind of vulnerable moment.
“answer the question y/n~” he starts as he leans a bit, tilting his head with a playful smile which you find very adorable.
and now you’re having a hard time suppressing the urge to smile back, hoping your face is not obvious but you already couldn’t look Jungwon in the eye.
"uh, what makes you say that?" you ask, trying to subdue your nerves by talking as calmly as you can as you return your gaze to him, to those very beautiful eyes of his.
eyes that caught yours in the first place.
"you have that look in your eyes..." he tells you with a teasing lilt in his voice, eyes shifting to his polaroid pictures laying on the desk.
what look dammit. is he really gonna make you confess right now—
"it's okay to admit it y/n…” he adds before looking back at you, eyes searching for something, probably a confirmation so you shoot him a glare in return. it’s a facade really to hide your embarrassment but it washed away quickly when you heard him say "i love you back anyways" quietly.
you were so stunned at his sudden declaration that you didn’t even realize he ran away before you could confront him about it.
so silly, you chuckle at his antics.
you’re debating if you should follow him or not but before you can decide, the bell rang so you had to hurry out to not miss the next period.
.
after your last class of the day, you immediately ditch your friends to look for Jungwon. they didn’t mind, not even asking you why though they probably have an inkling already after seeing you being restless at class earlier.
you have to catch Jungwon before he goes home, cause you might not be able to do this after today. fortunately, to your relief he’s still here, sitting by the benches outside with two of his close friends.
approaching their table, you dropped his polaroid pictures without a word which surprised everyone at the table, but not much for Jungwon.
he never thought you’d approach him first because it’s always been the other way around but he should’ve seen it coming when he ran away from you earlier. he wonders why you’re here other than the pictures, it couldn’t be just that, right?
“oh let’s look at these” his younger friend Riki suddenly picks one of the photos, looking at them with an amused smile.
for the first time, Jungwon feels shy because those pictures are specifically for you. he posed cutely in them for the sole purpose of wooing you but Riki’s like a younger brother to him since he only has an older sister so he doesn’t really mind. he met the latter from the dance club, easily befriending him when they both got closer due to being chosen to represent their school in the local dance competition against other schools.
“you look cute in them wonie!” his other friend, Sunoo adds, examining the rest of the pictures with adoration. he’s from a year above you both while Riki’s from a year below. but because Jungwon’s done summer school for some courses that made him pretty much more advanced than his peers, he’s sharing a few classes with Sunoo this school year.
“jungwon, can i talk to you for a minute?”
it’s already embarrassing to approach them this way when he’s clearly in some serious talks with his friends but you had no choice. it’s now or never.
“sure!” he turns to his friends excitedly, about to say goodbye but Sunoo smiles brightly at you both, returning the pictures on the table before grabbing the complaining Riki with him as they both leave to let you guys talk.
you smile gratefully in return, waving at them as they leave. you wouldn’t want those two to witness whatever more embarrassing things you might say to their friend. those two are already known in your school with Sunoo having quite a lot of friends and Riki’s status due to his dance achievements but you’ve never really talked to them before.
facing Jungwon now, you watch the challenging look in his eyes. but you didn’t miss the knowing smile, hoping it’s not because he already knew what all this is going to be.
“can you be my valentine?” you say as fast as you can to fight your increasing heartbeat. the nerves did go away when his smile turned into shock.
your question did surprise Jungwon a lot. he thought that you were here to talk about his quick confession earlier but he didn’t think that you’d ask him this.
he was actually planning a grandiose proposal to ask you even knowing that you could reject him.
but somehow Jungwon’s assured that you won’t. he’s indeed been annoying and clinging to you since the beginning of last year to get your attention but you’ve been softening to him lately so he’s confident and he was right.
“can you be mine too?”
“i asked first”
“well, i was going to ask you” he countered. “that’s why i was talking to Sunoo-hyung and Riki” he added.
“oh” you pause, nodding in understanding as a genuine smile appears on your face but your eyes hold that mischievous glint that Jungwon immediately recognized.
“but now you ruined it” he continues, now sulking a bit with his lips jutting out which made you laugh a little.
"how could i ruin it when it's for me?" you deadpan, your tone and smile teasing him further, causing his face to slowly become red.
"you asked me first and i said yes first so mine's more valid than yours," he says indignantly, huffing as he looks away from you which you find cute.
“okay wonie, let’s see how grand this surprise of yours is” you relent, stepping closer to him before planting a quick peck on his cheeks, making Jungwon’s eyes widen.
the boy’s totally flustered, which erupts another hearty giggle from you. he never thought you’d call him that let alone kiss him so he’s having a mix of delight and content of you reciprocating his feelings.
“i love you won” you add softly, looking sincerely into his eyes before walking away, leaving him still speechless at where he’s standing.
maybe it’s too early to tell him that but with how long you’ve been repressing this feeling, you’re pretty sure this time that it's certainly more than just a crush.
e/n: idk how i wrote this really cuz this is so out of my comfort zone since it's the first time that i've written an only fluff fic so i hope it's okay 😅. btw i based OC's inner turmoil on pola XD
Febuwhump collab day 12 — semi-conscious
This one’s been on ao3 for a bit I just sort of forgot to put it over here XD This one was suggested by @zeldathusiast, I hope you all enjoy!
No specific warnings apart from a mentioned kidnapping/being held captive, and a bad headache.
Today’s lovely art
Ao3 link
————————————————————
“He has to be here somewhere, right? That tip we got said he’d be here, but maybe they were wrong, Dad kept being vague on where he got it so I don’t know if we can totally trust it, and we should be prepared to get out of here if it’s a trap and if it was wrong we should plan to check that other—”
“Green, we’ll find him, alright?” Twilight reassured for the fifth time in as many minutes. “Don’t worry.”
Green’s mouth clicked shut, and he gave Twilight a tiny nod.
Twilight watched him turn away, the shadows under his eyes more prominent in the harsh artificial lighting they were sneaking past, and felt a familiar squeeze of worry at the similar expressions on the other colors’ faces.
Four had been split almost a week now, and with Red gone missing during a fight, he couldn’t reform.
Four had never been apart for so long, and that along with the panic of not knowing what was happening to Red, he was acting more and more strange, the remaining pieces of him veering more sharply towards what they represented.
Green had been getting more jittery, obsessing over Red’s whereabouts, and acting overly protective over the other two, which was driving them both crazy. Vio had turned to research and often closed himself away, poring over what information they had, and Blue would blow up at even the smallest slight, face red with tears in his eyes.
Twilight could only imagine the state Red was in.
The behavior grew more severe with every passing day, and while nobody said it, as they watched the colors fall apart they all silently wondered how long Four could even be split.
Did he have a limit? Was he nearing it?
And if he reached it..?
Nobody wanted to find out, and their efforts towards locating Red had only gotten more desperate as the days ticked by. All of them were worried and frightened on Four’s behalf, and Twilight knew he wasn’t the only one who was thinking back to that first terrifying week when Sky had gone missing, and stayed missing.
But Time had finally gotten some information that narrowed down where Red could be, to only a few places as compared to the entire city they’d been scouring before.
Which is why Twilight was now sneaking down a harshly lit hallway with a handful of his brothers, trying not to be consumed by worry while they searched.
“We close?” Twilight asked, and Legend nodded, gesturing to an upcoming split path.
“He should be in one of these hallways somewhere, but they’re pretty long. It might take us a while to actually find him,” Legend said with a frown. “...With time we don’t have. We should’ve brought Wild.”
“Well it’s too late now,” Blue snapped from beside him, his hands tightening into fists. “Why didn’t you think of that before we left?!”
“Well sor-ry, Wild’s checking that other place with Dad and Wind, twerp, I didn’t know we’d need him,” Legend snapped back.
“Guys, knock it off,” Twilight said sharply. Good grief, we’re all running on way too little sleep. “We’ll just split up into groups of two.”
“There’s five of us,” Vio pointed out.
“I know that Vio, I meant you and Legend and Green and Blue can pair up, and I’ll go by myself.”
“That seems like a bad idea,” Vio continued with a raised eyebrow. “Aren’t you always saying it’s better we stick together?”
Twilight took in a steadying breath at his snarky tone, ignoring the urge to be sarcastic in return. “Yes, but not in this case.”
“Why don’t we three just go together, and you and Legend team up?” Green suggested, and Twilight and Legend exchanged short glances.
“...No. Better we do duos,” Legend said, and jerked his head towards a hallway. “C’mon. Let’s get going. Come with me Blue, Green and Vio can check the opposite end from us. Twi can check the other hall.”
Twilight nodded when nobody argued, and they all split off, Twilight grateful that Legend would be able to see all of the colors from where he was.
There had been an unspoken rule as of late not to leave any of them alone. Not with how they’d been acting.
Twilight ran down his assigned hallway, peering through every door that had a window, and opening the ones that didn’t. They’d “borrowed” a keycard to use to get into the facilities, and managed to make copies so they could all get past the doors.
Twilight methodically checked every door, working steadily down the hallway. His worry grew the longer he didn’t find any sign of Red, and he picked up the pace, looking more frantically. He was nearly at the end of the corridor, and there’d been no sign anybody was down this way.
Are we sure that info was real? he thought as he approached the very last window in the hall. Mom hasn’t contacted us yet, so her group hasn’t found him... or maybe it was all faked just to give us false hope...
Twilight looked inside, and relief washed over him, intense and thick.
A little figure sat huddled against the wall inside, red clothes bright against the dull color of the room. His blond head was pressed to his knees with such an air of sadness that Twilight’s heart ached, and he quickly ran to the door.
It slid open with a quiet swish, but the figure didn’t move even with the sound, or when Twilight stepped inside.
“Red?” he called.
That made his little brother’s head snap up to stare at him, eyes wide and startled. His gaze landed on Twilight’s face, and his expression turned even more surprised, Red letting out a gasp as he jumped to his feet.
“Twilight!” he shrieked, and bolted, throwing himself into Twilight’s arms with a sob.
Twilight hugged him back just as fiercely, Red crying into his shoulder, and he quickly clicked a button on his radio four times, the signal they’d all agreed to use for “I found him”.
“We found you Smithy, you’re okay now, I got you,” Twilight soothed, his shirt steadily growing damp. “It’s okay. Are you hurt at all?”
“N-no,” Red hiccuped, face still pressed to Twilight’s shirt. “Th-they mostly left me alone, I d-don’t think they even wanted a-a hostage.”
Twilight squeezed him tighter. “I’m so sorry Red.”
Red didn’t reply, aside from another hiccuping sob.
Twilight knew they should get going, but he couldn’t bring himself to make Red move just yet, so he held him a little longer and just let him cry. Red’s louder sobs eventually petered out, and Twilight gave him a comforting pat on the back as Red finally sat up a little, still sniffling.
“Twi, is e-everyone else here?” Red finally asked, letting out a hiccup. “I-I don’t want to be separate anymore.”
“Yeah they came, they’re close by,” Twilight reassured, and Red visibly relaxed, though he still looked upset.
“It was awful being away from them so long,” he whimpered. “It felt...”
He swallowed and didn’t continue, and Twilight gave him a squeeze.
“Well if we want to get you back together, we should get going,” he said, and Red eagerly nodded, wiping his sleeve over his face.
Twilight helped him up, and then turned into a wolf, gesturing for Red to hop on. He gladly did, and they ran went back the way Twilight had come, opting less for sneakiness and more for pure speed. Twilight didn’t want Red to have to wait a second longer than necessary to be back with the other parts of himself, and he loped down the hallways as fast as he could without slipping on the shiny floors.
Red in turn clung tightly to his fur, his head not quite buried in it. Twilight could just barely feel Red’s tears dampening his fur as he sniffled again, and his stomach clenched, even with the relief pounding through him.
The part of Twilight, the more wolffish part of him that longed to protect had been going haywire all week, and even now that he had Red secure on his back, it still bayed for justice.
Twilight ignored it. He was pretty sure Red’s captors were long gone, and going after them now wouldn’t be productive in any way. Even if he wanted to demand answers as to why they’d grabbed a nine year old and locked him in a room for a week.
No. Red safe and secure on his back was plenty for now, and as he firmly told himself that, the wolf began to calm.
Though he knew it wouldn’t completely settle until they were all back together and safe at home again.
Twilight turned a corner near where he and the rest of the group had split up, and Red sat up and shouted, pointing excitedly down the hall. The rest of the colors were already making their way towards them, but they all zeroed in at Red’s shout, relief on all three faces.
“RED!” Blue yelled, and all three of them bolted, Red leaping off Twilight’s back and crashing into them with a happy cry.
All four of them began chattering simultaneously, asking questions and crying and in Blue’s case, giving Red a punch on the arm that wasn’t as hard as it could have been.
Twilight smiled in relief as they huddled together, turning back into a human, and realized that the rest of the team they had brought was coming up behind them, Legend Hyrule and their mother all looking extremely relieved.
“Red— never do that again,” Green said as they hugged, and Red nodded rapidly.
“I won’t! I won’t, it wasn’t even on purpose, they just grabbed me, a-and I couldn’t get away, and nobody heard me yell,” Red said in a watery voice, and Vio gave him a soft pat on the head.
“Well you’re okay now, you don’t have to cry,” Blue grumbled, but his arm didn’t leave Red’s shoulder.
The colors didn’t talk any longer after that, only hugging a few moments more before they began to glow, unable to wait a second longer to reform. A pulse of multicolored light shone around the hallway, bouncing off the pale walls, and Twilight had to look away until it began to dim.
Four stood alone, his eyes closed as the last of the glow faded away.
Then he doubled over with his hands clenched to his head, face twisted up in pain. Twilight darted forward and caught him before he fell, and Four whimpered in his arms, eyes squeezed tightly shut.
“Four, hey, what’s wrong?” Twilight asked, trying not to panic.
Four flinched at his words, and the sound of the others running up as well, and tried to curl into a ball, still clenching at his hair.
“What’s wrong with him?” Legend asked with wide eyes.
“Four, are you okay?” Hyrule asked, and Four only let out another whimper.
“Give him some space,” Malon said, and they slid back a bit, giving her room to kneel by Four. She placed a gentle hand on his back, and rubbed it as Four let out a pitiful groan. “Four? Honey are you okay?”
Four only groaned again, and Hyrule scooted over and set a glowing hand on his head, eyes closed in concentration. But he withdrew after a moment, gaze slightly bewildered.
”His head is fine, I didn’t see anything,” he said, and Twilight frowned.
“Did they do something just to Red then?” Twilight asked, trying to keep his voice calm and only partially succeeding. “That would hurt him when he merged?”
“I don’t... think so?” Hyrule said. He sounded uncertain though, and wrung his hands a bit.
“Seriously? We would have noticed if they’d done something,” Legend shot at Twilight.
“How do you know?” Twilight answered just as sharply. “It might not be physical!”
“Well maybe he’s just—”
“Boys shh, you’re hurting him,” Malon said a bit sharply, and they went silent, another quiet whimper from Four the only noise. “Four? Can you tell us what’s wrong?”
Four dragged his eyes open, and Twilight stared, the normal blue of his eyes completely overrun by jagged swirls of red, green, and purple, blue scattered throughout. As he watched, the red got larger, and Four flinched, once again slamming his eyes shut and falling mostly limp in Twilight’s arms.
“Four, we can’t help unless we know what’s wrong,” Twilight tried, running a hand through his hair.
Please Four, can you give us something?
A few long moments ticked by, Four’s shaky breathing the only sound in the bright hallway. Finally Four breathed out, the noise hitching in the middle, and his fingers tightened in his hair.
“T-too— much,” he finally bit out, voice hitching and wavering. “M-Memories, different—”
Four pressed his head tighter against Twilight’s chest, his breathing trembling. He let out another small groan, and Twilight ran a helpless hand over his hair as he tried to curl himself up even tighter.
“Oh. I get it,” Legend said quietly, and they all looked at him inquisitively. Legend sighed. “Look, he was split all that time, right? Normally getting back together is no big deal for him, even if it’s been a little while. But his experiences as Green, Blue, and Vio this time were so vastly different from Red’s that when he reformed...”
“...all of those stark different memories got put in one head,” Malon finished, and ran a gentle hand through Four’s hair again. “Oh sweetie, I’m so sorry.”
Twilight wasn’t sure if Four even heard her, with the way he was curled up in a ball, hands still clenching at his head, face screwed shut in a wince.
“Can we help him?” Hyrule asked, and Malon looked uncertain.
“I don’t know, hon. It looks to me like he’ll just need some time to adjust,” she said, gently running her hand through Four’s hair. “Is there any way we can help, Four?”
Four didn’t say anything in reply, but he gave a tiny, pained shake of his head.
“We should get him home then, right?” Twilight spoke up, trying not to sound overly worried despite how fast his heart was still pounding. “If he just needs to adjust. He’ll be able to rest better there, and we need to get out of here anyway.”
Malon nodded, and Twilight scooped Four up into his arms, relieved his brother was fairly lightweight. Four curled into his hold, face still drawn with pain, and Twilight held him tight as they worked their way back towards the exit.
Somehow zero alarms had been triggered by their presence, and Twilight was starting to suspect the place had been abandoned what with how silent and empty it was. The fact that that meant the people who’d kidnapped Red had basically abandoned him here all alone was enough to reawaken the protectiveness in Twilight’s chest with a snarl, and this time he only half-heartedly reeled it in.
For their sakes, they had better not show their faces again anytime soon.
“Tw-i..?”
Several minutes of the trek had gone by before the whisper came from Twilight’s arms, and he looked down at Four, still limp in his hold.
“Yeah bud?”
“Thanks,” Four whispered into his shirt, and though he didn’t elaborate, Twilight knew what he meant.
“You’re welcome,” Twilight replied gently, and Four tucked his face against his neck, the pained creases on his face slightly eased.
Hello! It’s my first time ever requesting in tumblr and i really really love your works! I was wondering if you could do a scenario about manager who’s bad at playing soccer and players ( u-20/BLLK/neo-egoist…) got into argument about who will teach her xd
Author: Hello! Happy to hear that I am your first request and I hope you like this! Thank you for the support and have a great day🩷
Warnings ⚠️: Reader uses she/her. Requests are open
⚽️Blue lock belongs to:Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yusuke Nomura⚽️
"Come on, (Y/n)! It will be fun!" Bachira urged the girl, who simply shook her head, looking at the football he was holding in disgust, then nervously laughed.
"I... I don't think that's a good idea..."
"Why? Come on, we will go easy on you!" Isagi said, wanting to play football with her. It was a relatively peaceful day at Blue Lock anyways, aside from Kaiser pissing Isagi and Rin off, it was peaceful.
"That's not a good idea because..." (Y/n) gulped, a little embarrassed to admit she was downright horrendous at the sport.
'They will probably make fun of me for it!'
"Come on! Just relax for the day." Kunigami and Chigiri urged. (Y/n) looked around the place nervously, trying to find some saving grace. Most of the Blue Lock members were in their room, using today as a rest day. The ones who were here: Isagi, Kunigami, Bachira, Chigiri, Reo and Nagi were essentially trying to get her to play with them. Rin was out with his brother somewhere, while Kaiser and Ness were with their team, so there was nobody she could use as a scapegoat... well, except...
'Fuck my life!' She cringed and looked over at the U-20 captain.
"Aiku said he might need my help with... something! What was it again?!"
Oliver looked at the girl, startled that she even addressed him. The others were in disbelief too, knowing that (Y/n) didn't have the best of relationship with him, but she was now looking at him like he hung up the moon.
"What dream is this?" Bachira muttered and pinched his cheeks.
Oliver watched with a raised eyebrow as she escaped Nagi's grip and ran to him.
"So... ready for me to help you with that... thing?" (Y/n) asked the dumbfounded captain, who recovered pretty fast and nodded his head.
"Of course, come on."
Oliver smiled and pulled (Y/n) along, sending the group a smirk as they were glaring at him.
Once gone, Bachira kicked the ball in rage and grinned at the door.
"When did he get so close to (Y/n)? Didn't we keep him away from her?"
"Apparently not good enough... Why my dear (Y/n), why pick that hobo over me?" Reo sobbed as Nagi cracked his knuckles.
"We should have beat him up instead of playing bowling." The albino said.
"Maybe... maybe (Y/n) would rather play football with him instead of us..." Isagi whispered, hurt and panic lacing his tone.
"What?! This is a tragedy, I am way better than that womanizer freak! Why?!" Chigiri cried out.
"You all... do you think that (Y/n) might have a thing for Aiku? I mean... did you see the way she looked at him?" Nagi questioned, causing everyone to look at him in horror.
"Nonono... she hates him. I am sure we just saw shit." Kunigami protested the idea, there is no way their sweet manager would like him.
"Well... you know what they say... the line between love and hate is thin." Isagi gulped, causing silence to fall on the group.
"Why are you guys so down?" Rin raised his eyebrow as him and Sae approached the panicked group.
"(Y/n) wants to marry Aiku and play football with him!" Bachira yelled, causing Sae to spit out his drink.
"The hell are you guys talking about?! Why would (Y/n) want to play with a lukewarm hobo?" Rin asked, already getting agitated.
"We tried to get her to play football with us, and she picked Aiku." Reo answered solemnly.
"You all are dumb, for 2 reasons. One that you think lukewarms such as yourselves are worthy of asking (Y/n) that." Rin started, ignoring the glares he received from his teammates, and then continued.
"And 2nd for believing (Y/n) would like Aiku."
"You didn't see the way she looked at him." Kunigami said.
"What do you mean by that?" Sae spoke up, already pissed at his teammate.
"She looked like he hung up the moon and stars... like he is a God or something." Chigiri explained.
'That little piece of shit!' Sae and Rin thought.
While the group was plotting Oliver's death, the captain himself was over the moon as he talked about thr various places he visited in Italy. (Y/n) would chime in with a question here and there, finding him surprisingly pleasant to talk to... well unless he tried to flirt. They were now in the training area designated for the U-20 team, with (Y/n) doing some check-ups on equipment.
"Say, why did you pick to hang out with me?" Oliver suddenly asked, causing (Y/n) to look away from her clipboard and at him.
"Oh... I'm... no reason!" She said as Oliver got up and moved closer to the girl.
"I don't believe you. Now tell me what it is about, Cutie?"
'Kill me, what are these nicknames?!' (Y/n) cringed and contemplated on if she should tell him or not.
"I am very much open and transparent with you, shouldn't you be the same? Seems only fair." Oliver said, leaning down.
"Rin, don't start a fight no- did you just bite me?!" Isagi flinched as him and Kunigami held back the two brothers from starting a fight. Nagi sighed and opened the door to the U-20 training hall, only to choke on his spit at the scene he was seeing.
"That piece of shit..."
"What is it?" Reo raised his eyebrow and peeked inside too, only to shriek away right after.
"What?" Chigiri and Bachira asked.
"Aiku is trying to kiss (Y/n)!" Reo exclaimed as the others froze for a moment.
"Nevermind about peace, I am beating him up first." Kunigami said, letting go of a seething Sae.
"No way, I will!" Bachira added, grinning maniacally as Nagi and Reo walked into the room, ready to pull their manager away.
"Ah... I just don't know how to play football... and I was too embarrassed to admit it." Nagi and Reo stopped in their tracks and looked at each other.
"Sorry for using you like this! I was just embarrassed to say anything... it sounds rediculous."
Oliver hummed and nodded his head, then put his arm around her shoulders and grinned.
"Then I will teach you the basics. What better way than to learn it from a captain-"
"Hold it! You are not teaching anyone anything!" Reo yelled, pulling (Y/n) away from Oliver and glared up at him.
"What are you guys doing here?!" (Y/n) asked, horrified that Reo and Nagi heard her.
"We came to get you! Don't listen to anything he tells you!" Reo said and pointed at the offended boy.
"Yeah, we can teach you how to play." Nagi yawned, sending a glare to Oliver.
"We? You mean me! I am the best ranked one in Blue Lock." Rin chimed in.
"Cut the crap! I can do a way better job!" Bachira said as he smiled at (Y/n).
"I am the fastest and most patient one of you all. Please, I will do that." Chigiri said calmly, earning an eyeroll from Isagi.
"Not as patient as I am."
'Good God... over football of all things.' (Y/n) groaned as she watched the group argue.
"Come on, let's do something else. Ego-san will hear the commotion soon." Reo whispered to (Y/n) and pulled her out of the training room, Nagi following them close behind, satisfied that the girl was away from Oliver, who was getting scolded by Sae and Rin.
F/M Durgetash one-shot I birthed within a single day. Dead Dove: I don't like Gortash (hence the title), but I do find him mysteriously, annoyingly attractive. Couldn't get him out of my head - so I tried, the best way I knew how - by writing a fic xD. I hope you like it, but it's not essential to my wellbeing, I just really needed to get this off my chest. But it's been fun, so hopefully you'll have fun too.
Explicit 18+, F/M, Enver Gortash / The Dark Urge (old name Talas, new name Nara, some half-elf or other, unimportant), rough sex, cunnilingus, p in v, creampie, some emotional trauma, light stabbing/cutting with a dagger, a bit of aftercare in the form of bathing together.
Yes, Gortash bathes in this story. TWICE. He really needs it :P.
I Don't Like You
01 - Brain worms having a field day.
The night is slowly creeping in, but I’m in no state of mind to sleep. I pace and I rake my hair and I groan. My friends are watching me with concern in their eyes. I can’t blame them—I must look like a lunatic, more so than usually.
I feel like I’m going insane and for a whole new set of reasons than before.
What were we?
Gortash got into my head and now he’s refusing to leave. Was he just trying to mess with me? Did he notice the unmasked disdain in my face and decide to make my skin crawl in revenge? He must know I only have red fog in my brain where my past should be. And he looks just like the kind of man who would lie about it to make me nauseated. No way I’ve ever let those grubby hands touch me.
Yet…
I can hardly admit it to myself, but nausea is not the full extent of my reaction. I feel as if my own body knows this man. My memory is still a blank page, but something in me recognizes him. Something primal. Something hungry.
The urges I’ve been having since meeting Gortash have very little to do with Bhaal.
“Honeymuffin, are you still not ready for bed?”
I hear Halsin’s soothing voice and immediately feel myself relaxing. I turn to him, grateful for the distraction. He’s only dressed in his underpants and the sight of his bushy chest hits a dirty note.
I ignore his question and just press into him, kissing his gentle lips with ferociousness he hasn’t experienced from me yet. He’s responsive and gives in for a few seconds, but then chuckles into my mouth and drags me off of him by the shoulders to inspect me.
“What has gotten into you, my love?”
I groan, freeing myself from his grip. I always appreciate how sensitive he is to my moods and thoughts, but right now, I would die of embarrassment if someone actually found out what’s running through my head.
“I’m just irritated,” I lie through my teeth. “Gortash is one annoying son of a bitch. I hate that we have to pretend to work with him. ‘Notice the way he just kept us there under the threat of violence, to witness his sham of an inauguration? After everything he said about wanting to be partners? Ugh, I could just…” My fists close of their own accord, crushing the imaginary windpipe.
Halsin chuckles again and runs a calloused palm softly along my jaw in a comforting gesture.
“I know, Nara, I know,” he grumbles low, pulling me into a hug. “He irked me, as well. He isn’t worth the stress, though. Let’s sleep. We have another long day ahead of us tomorrow.”
But I can’t sleep. Once Halsin goes into his trance, it’s like he’s not here to hold me together anymore. I toss and turn. I grit my teeth. I grunt and pull on my hair. I try to silence my thoughts with a pillow over my head. It’s no use. I know what I have to do to get some peace of mind.
I get up as quietly as I possibly can. I don’t bother changing—I don’t plan to impress anyone. I just take a small dagger and throw a cloak over my shoulders, so I can hide in the shadows more easily, and sneak out of the inn.
I’m going to make him tell me the truth.
02 - Urge! But not to kill.
Getting into the Wyrmrock is laughably easy. I know the guards would just let me pass, but there’s no way in the Nine Hells I would embarrass myself like that. Little ol’ me going to see “Lord” Gortash in my casual clothes in the middle of the night—what a delicious story for the Baldur’s Mouth it would make. So I utilize every last muscle memory from the past I don’t remember, slipping in completely undetected.
He’s in the throne room, but not sitting on the damned thing. The main section is drowning in darkness, but I see a sliver of light coming from behind the door to one of the adjacent rooms. A study, maybe?
I almost trigger one of the traps as I’m sneaking towards him. There are Steel Watch still stationed around the room, but they appear less than attentive this time. Do they have some sort of down time? Or did Gortash put them in do-not-disturb mode?
I’m trying to not get myself executed, so I push down the instinct to grip the dagger I’m hiding under the cloak. If he wanted me dead, he wouldn’t have made such theatrics to gain my cooperation this morning. The question of whether I wanted him dead remains to be answered.
I take a quiet peek into the warmly lit room and suppress a whistle. It’s a study alright, but one Gortash seems to be using as an apartment—a wide, comfortable, richly adorned bed stands next to his desk, draped in red silk. He’s not in it, though—he sits by the desk, bent over a document, clad only in what looks like a bathrobe.
I try to filter myself through the crack in the door, but the stupid hinges creak so loud I gasp and just inelegantly stumble inside.
Gortash jumps off his chair and twirls around, body taut, eyes alert, a quill in his left hand held like a weapon, the other hand ready to shove the metal claws of his fancy gold netherstone-adorned gauntlet into someone’s eye. I grit my teeth and consider pulling out the dagger—but the second his gaze lands on me, he straightens and lets out a half relieved, half amused chortle.
“Sneaking up on me again?” He shakes his shaggy head. “Are Bhaalists simply unable to set up a meeting, like the rest of us?”
I open my mouth, a scathing comeback ready, but as soon as I let the air in the room in, I’m stunned. There’s a distinct fragrance of soap and perfume, a freshness that only comes from thoroughly scrubbing yourself clean, and, among them, the unmistakable scent of him. The musk that speaks directly to the undamaged parts of my brain.
I can’t believe how clean Gortash looks now. He evidently didn’t plan on any public appearances this late at night, so even his hair is not styled into spikes anymore and it’s just messily sticking out in natural directions, still a little damp from the bath. Funny—he didn’t think to wash before his big inauguration, but he washed now, when no one important is scheduled to see him?
He takes my silence as an opportunity to speak more, instead of waiting for an answer. He tilts his head, gaze slowly gliding down my body, and smirks.
“Shouldn’t you be curled on your bed next to the enormous druid, sleeping soundly? Wouldn’t he be oh so hurt if he knew you were seeking another man’s company?”
“What the fuck would you know?” I snap, his tone setting off a charge of anger inside me. “You don’t know him. Hells, you don’t know me! You don’t get to make snarky remarks about my enormous druid.”
Gortash cackles quietly and puts up his hands in a calming gesture.
“Of course I don’t.” His smirk deepens, his eyes studying my face. “But trust me, kitten. No one…” he takes a seductive little step towards me, “knows you like I do.”
“I doubt that,” I rasp barely audibly, a lump forming in my throat. My guts clench, breath shortening in panic. It’s all just an elaborate joke, I’m sure… but it feels so familiar.
“You really don’t remember,” he quips softly, as if to himself, and I can hear a hint of disappointment in his tone.
“What were we, Gortash?” I whisper, voice quivering on the cusp of a mental breakdown.
He stares at me, chewing his cheek, and his answer is a single word: “Enver.”
“What?” I scowl, anger rising again.
“My name,” he reminds me quietly. “You used to call me Enver, sweetheart.”
“Don’t call me pet names, Gortash,” I force through my teeth. “Whatever you dreamed was between us, it’s most definitely not there anymore.”
“Alright.” He presses his lips together in annoyance, but steps closer, eyes radiating something close to malice. I gulp, my hand curling into a fist, pressing to the hilt at my hip. “I won’t call you kitten, or love, or sweetheart. Those were all just words I used to tease you with.” Drawling, stretching his words, he hovers above me. “But I have earned the right to call you Talas.”
That makes me pause and I just blink at him blankly for a second. “Who’s that?”
Genuine shock colors his face. He takes a step back, mouth agape. “That you don’t remember my name, I would understand. But how do you not remember your own?”
“Because someone caved my head in, trying to kill me!” I scream, suddenly overflowing with something I haven’t felt for a while: self-pity. I feel tears prickle in my eyes and that just makes me want to yell louder. “Because someone took everything from me. And where the fuck were you when I was bleeding out into the dirt?! If you were such a shitty partner, why in the Hells did I even bother with you?”
Gortash’s features softened, pain and regret gleaming in his eyes.
“I wasn’t your keeper, Talas,” he countered. “You were always an independent force, often off on business I had no say in. But when you didn’t come back one day, I searched for you.” His eyebrows join in a pleading line. “I searched for you with every bit of resources I could spare. Then Orin muscled in on our plot and made me stop under the threat of unraveling the whole thing. I accepted you as a loss… but I mourned for a long time.”
His words eat their way into my chest like acid. I don’t want to believe a single one, but something in me knows it’s the truth.
“Don’t tell me you loved me,” I hiss. “You don’t strike me as a man who allows himself such weaknesses.”
He smirks and I bristle. I knew it. Liar!
“Love is for children,” he chuckles. “We had something much more precious. We made a great team. Your monstrosity and mine were in perfect harmony. No one understood me like you did. No one encouraged my every exploit like you did. You were such a horrible influence on me,” he purrs, his eyes half closed. “Delicious. Deplorable. Delightful.”
I gulp and shiver under the intensity of his gaze. It feels like he’s undressing me with his eyes and I can’t decide how I feel about it. I want to be disgusted, but that knot low in my belly has a different agenda. Without remembering a single minute of knowing him, my body knows it used to crave this man’s attention.
He extends his unclawed hand to me and grazes my skin. It burns and it tickles and it sends powerful signals all over my nervous system. But this is not what I want. It can’t be.
Quick as lightning, I pull my dagger out and press it to his neck in warning.
“Don’t. Touch. Me,” I filter through my teeth.
He catches my wrist quicker than I would’ve given him credit for. Instead of pulling it away, though, he presses the blade closer, almost cutting into himself. I gasp in shock, struggling against his strength. His dead eyes flicker to life, ablaze with desire.
“There she is,” he whispers almost breathlessly, biting his lip. “You seem so different… but I knew my pet monster was somewhere in there.”
“I’m nothing of yours,” I force through my dried throat, my voice failing me.
Suddenly, he moves my hand away from his neck, only to press my white-knuckled fist to his lips in a kiss. My whole body responds, buzzing in approval. “You don’t mean that,” he teases, his hot breath tickling the spot he kissed.
“Don’t do that,” I breathe out, a lump forming in my throat, making my voice sound funny.
He pulls my wrist to his mouth and licks it with a quick flick before his teeth start to nibble on the sensitive skin, sending shockwaves of ecstasy down my arm.
“Stop it,” I beg, the command I meant to utter melting into a pathetic mewl.
I twist and try to get away for a second or two, but he keeps moving lower and lower, licking, sucking, biting, and every last defense I had crumbles into ashes. It doesn’t matter that I’m someone else now. It doesn’t matter that I would never consciously and honestly team up with him again. It doesn’t matter what I think of him or what I believe he deserves.
I never had a chance. My body knows him, my body craves him. He’s like a drug addiction I never quite shook, and at the slightest sweet taste I relapse right back into him.
03 - A master. A slave.
He pulls me in, mouth still hungrily devouring my arm inch by inch, while his free hand frantically unties my cloak, revealing my simple shirt and long skirt underneath.
“You used to wear fancier things.” He side-eyes my clothing, not letting it distract him from my skin too much. “And would get mad when I tore them to shreds. This is perfect.”
My sluggish thoughts haven’t even begun to analyze the meaning in his words when he presses me flush to his chest, moving from nibbling on my shoulder to assaulting my mouth. I gasp for the breath he keeps stealing with every touch, but let him surround me and trap me with his body. I feel his desperate need mirroring my own. His taste is surprisingly sweet, with just a hint of hot spice.
“No,” I manage to mumble through our locked lips, grasping at the last straws of control. My hand is finally free—I try stabbing him in the crook of his neck. He yelps and groans, but my muscles are so useless I’ve barely scratched him. A thin streak of blood trickles out of the cut, marring the delicate fabric of his robe.
“You thought that would stop me?” he purrs, pulling the robe off his body. “Your knives left more than one scar on me. It was our thing.”
I stare at his muscly, hairy chest, mute. I see scars on his torso, criss-crossing his skin like a crude carving. That couldn’t be my doing… But the metallic scent of his blood sends a new sort of excitement through me. I know it’s my Urge, I know it’s not really me, but my will is weakened. My hand raises and cuts him again—just a little, but enough to satisfy the craving.
“Your body remembers,” he whispers into my ear, standing my hair on their ends.
His gloved hand caresses my arm and shoulder and closes around my throat. I gasp in panic, or I think I do, but heat pools in my lower regions in response. He presses a touch harder; his gold ornaments are digging into my skin, claws pinching my nape and my head is starting to swim with lack of oxygen. My fingers wrap around his wrist, but for some reason I don’t pull him away.
“Every time you hurt me, I will hurt you back,” he promises in a sweet, sin-filled voice. “Call it our love language.”
He lets go of my neck, hands roughly gripping my waist instead. He twirls us around and sits me on top of his desk. I fumble to find balance and end up sending his documents, ink and quills all over the floor. Instead of complaining, he eagerly swipes the rest of the items off the surface and pushes me down on my back.
The panic it triggers gives me back a chunk of my reason. Instead of letting him, I fight back, clawing at his bare chest with my nails and my dagger, leaving bloody gashes over his skin.
His head lulls back for a moment, which makes me realize I’m not helping at all. He’s enjoying the pain I give him. He takes fistfuls of my shirt and bends down to bite my shoulder—hard. I yelp, reaching into his hair to pull him away, but he’s already ripping clothes off of my torso, baring my skin, spilling my breasts.
“You are even more magnificent than I remember,” he rasps, grazing my curves with his gaze alone. The reverent look on his face sets my loins on fire.
I’m beginning to understand how I could’ve let him so close to me. A young, confused little thing, raised in worship of the Lord of Murder, would have no idea what love looks like. I’m still learning and stumbling, despite Halsin’s best efforts. A man who could make her feel so beautiful, so wanted among all the blood and death… such a man would have had the key to her rotten little heart.
I’m not that girl anymore. But I know that feeling. Its draw is familiar and powerful. My hands let go of his hair and fall next to my head, letting him run his rough palms across my chest and knead the pliant shape of my breasts.
His teeth close around one of my nipples and press just hard enough to shoot a barbed string of ecstasy directly to my sex. I muffle the moan with my hands. I can’t just let him win like that. I’m not doing this because I’m easy. I’m doing it so I don’t go insane.
“I missed this,” Gortash drawls, his lips and tongue making slow circles on my chest. “I missed you.” He bites into my flesh, gently, teasingly, while his hand slowly moves towards my sex. “In all your glory, Talas.”
“Stop calling me that,” I protest weakly, but he just chuckles and continues lower, and lower.
“You may not remember me,” he breathes on my folds, shamefully wet and wanton, “but I remember everything about you.”
And he dives between my thighs like a man who’s been starving and now can finally eat.
I gasp loudly, my hands instinctively grasping for something to hold onto—his hair. My legs twitch and wrap around him. I’m half worried I’m killing him, but he gives no indication of discomfort. His mouth is making the most intimidatingly dirty noises I’ve ever heard and I’m melting on his face.
All it takes him is a few minutes, stretched impossibly long in my damaged mind. I swallow the urge to scream and just grunt, not wanting to give him the satisfaction. He looks up from my lap, slick and gasping for breath, and smirks smugly. He knows I enjoyed it, no use hiding it.
He picks his robe off the floor and wipes his face, still watching me. My brain is too hazy to worry about the way I’m splayed on his desk, eaten out, undone. He props himself above me and studies my face.
“This is your most beautiful look,” he sighs, taking in the flush of my cheeks, the sweat glistening on my brow and the mess I made of my hair. “Precious little Bhaal-babe.”
I’m still coming down from the high when I feel him slip inside me. I distantly realize I should’ve gathered enough wit to stop him, but it’s too late. I squeeze around him in welcome and let out a long and thoroughly embarrassing moan. He matches me, closing his eyes.
“You still fit me like a glove.”
He’s so right. I live for the delicious stretch of Halsin’s gentle, loving thrusts—it’s the only sex I remember having, but I would kill for more—but this… Gortash feels like he was tailored specifically for me. My body knows his shape, just as it knows his touch. It’s like coming home after a long time and finding your old room exactly as you left it.
“Oh gods, I really do,” I groan as he lazily moves inside, savoring each stroke.
I wrap my legs around his waist and just enjoy the sensation, closing my eyes to ignore his intimate gaze for the sake of my sanity. If he’s trying to make me fall for him again, he’s as out of his mind as I am.
Clearly getting bored of the slow pace, he pulls me up and plops me back down on my belly. I’m too weak and needy to issue a protest, I just whine at the unexpected and unwelcome absence of him. He silences my discontent with a firm thrust that makes me gasp and clutch the edges of the desk so hard my knuckles turn white again.
“I know you love this one,” he purrs and presses my legs together with his own. “Sometimes you like to be in control. Other times you like to be controlled. You were the most fun I’ve ever had with anyone.”
I let out a growl at him mentioning his other partners while balls-deep in me. Perhaps he didn’t really want me back. Maybe he just missed the “fun”.
“You’re also the only one who made me consider settling down, Talas,” he continues as if he understood very well why his words upset me. “I wanted to breed you and watch you teach the little runt how to gut people.”
“Don’t even fucking think about it,” I sputter, miraculously finding enough ire to at least issue a warning, while still being happily pinned under him.
He chuckles. “Your response is still the same. Last time it was Daddy dearest… but you changed your mind about doing his bidding. Is Halsin aware you’re not going to give him a litter of cubs one day as he might hope?”
I don’t know how he even learned all these things about me, but I don’t care much. I grab the dagger left forgotten on the desk next to me and jam the blade into his thigh. Not deep enough to cripple, but definitely causing a lot of pain.
Gortash lets out a strangled scream, which mixes with a moan of pleasure not two seconds later. Fuck. I didn’t mean for him to like it.
What he does next pushes all irrelevant thoughts out of my head: he grabs my hair and yanks hard, pulling my head back, making my little cry sound ever more pathetic. His free hand digs fingers into my hip, holding me steady as he begins pounding into me with force.
I just open my mouth mutely, gasping for air, my eyes filling with tears. My brain turns into mush under the intensity of sensations he’s sending through my tortured body. I can’t see, I can’t speak, I can’t think. I hear a high-pitched whine through the mist around me… and I realize it’s mine. I’m screaming, lost in the sweet place between pain and complete ecstasy.
I spasm around his length so hard I can hear him gasp as well. My whole body shakes and curls into itself, a shaking, sweaty, moaning mess writhing on the cool polished wood of the desk. I can feel him swell within me, hot and ready, and I know he’s coming too—still inside me.
But I don’t care. I want it. Whatever he might hope to gain from it, I know I’m safe.
Instead of going slack like a good boy, he pulls out and flips me on my back again. He holds my legs spread, admiring what he did to me. I feel his seed leak out of me and drip to the floor. He smiles contently, dragging a fingertip across my clit, drawing out every last twitch my muscles are willing to give.
“This could be us every day,” he says softly. “Think about it.”
I don’t have an answer he would like, but he doesn’t wait for one. He picks me up in the most unexpectedly gentle way and carries me to the other side of the room. I thought he was putting me on the bed, either to sleep, cuddle or continue blissfully torturing me, but my breath hitches in surprise when he suddenly dips me into warm water. I slip into a roomy bathtub, blinking in confusion.
My brain needs a minute to restart, so I just watch him get inside with me, sitting me in his lap, cradling me. I don’t have the strength to protest. I just watch the little pinkish streaks, as water begins to wash out his wounds.
04 - This is why we can’t have nice things.
“How did you have this ready? Do you have invisible servants or something?”
Gortash chuckles and I vibrate along on his chest, making frantic little waves on the surface.
“The miracle of technology, Talas. My desk has a few convenient buttons and this tub fills and warms up automatically. I pressed one before we began.”
Well, that is convenient. I’m not sure if I want to be in this bath with him now, but it sure feels good on my exhausted muscles and aching sex. His arms around me feel nice, too, as much as I hate admitting it. I can hate a person and still enjoy their closeness, right? Right?
His hands caress me under the water and I let them.
“Good to know you bathe with your gauntlets on,” I quip, noticing the distinctive feel of metal against my skin.
He pulls his right hand up and turns it from one side to the other, letting the gold reflect the glimmer of flames in the nearby fireplace. The netherstone pulses with its own light, alive and tempting as the power it holds.
“While I’m more than happy to entertain you, I’m not letting my most prized possession just lie around for you to steal,” he smirks and I turn my head to have a better look at him, honestly impressed. “You changed. Your goals inevitably changed, too. I don’t trust you anymore, Talas.” He runs a soft finger along my jaw, dropping to the line of my neck and to my clavicle. I shiver, even submerged in warmth, too tired to correct the name this time. “If you want it for yourself, you’re going to have to kill me.”
I give him an evaluating once-over; then my eyes move to the dagger I left on the desk. His gaze follows mine and his smirk stretches more.
“Just keep in mind that those Steel Watchers outside will only take about ten seconds to join us. And even you, my dear, don’t have the skill to defeat them all naked and unarmed to get out of here alive.” His fingers trace the shape of my lips. “I would hate it if something happened to you before I had the chance to win you over.”
“You’re so full of shit, Gortash,” I sigh, laying my head in the crook of his neck. I feel too lazy to murder anyone right now, anyway. “You sent me to hunt Orin down and told me to not come back without her stone. You expect me to believe you actually give a fuck about me and care what I think about you? I’m here against your explicit orders, your lordship.”
“You came to see me surrounded by your new friends,” he grumbles and I finally hear discontent in his voice. “In the company of your new lover. What did you think I would do, fall on my knees in front of all my esteemed guests and your openly hostile troupe and beg you to come back to me?”
“Hmm, so your excuse is your pride?” I sneer. “I don’t believe a word that comes out of your mouth, no matter how trustworthy you somehow manage to sound. I only agreed to your deal because you didn’t give me any better choice. Karlach was furious. She wants you dead oh so very much. She gets really graphic, describing how she wants to kill you. You’re lucky I didn’t bring her along.”
Gortash groans and pinches the root of his nose.
“The company you keep nowadays,” he chides. “No wonder you changed so much. Every one of those bloody soft-hearted idiots putting their own opinions in your emptied mind.”
“When that’s what you wanted to do.” I nod in mock commiseration.
“I want us to be partners,” he scowls, tone wounded. “Equals. Sharing the power over the whole world. The Lord is only a part for me to play in public, while you reign over your own murderous kingdom from the shadows, unobstructed by law, unhindered by so-called heroes trying to stop you. We can have everything we’ve ever wanted. Together.”
I can’t believe how tempting he sounds right now. I close my eyes, letting my Urge surface just enough to enjoy the pure simplicity of the world he describes. I could let go. I could stop fighting for every sliver of free will. I could bathe in blood and have people worship my god through me. The Urge would be sated—I could feel the sweet rush of ecstasy from killing without worrying I might hurt someone close to me.
I would be lying if I said this vision of the future never crossed my mind. It’s an everyday struggle, trying to stay good, trying to do only good. A struggle I’m inevitably going to lose if my Urge grows in intensity for much longer. Killing Halsin. Or Lae’zel. Or Gale. The death of anyone in my camp—by my hand—would break me.
I care too much. Sometimes I imagine what it would feel like if I didn’t care at all.
“You would never tolerate any of my friends by my side, Gortash,” I say flatly. “If you really do want me, you want me all to yourself. Isolated, depending only on you. Malleable. So that if—gods forbid—I disagree with you, you could push all the right buttons and get me to change my mind, with no one to challenge your influence over me.”
I don’t know how, but I know it’s true. It’s what all people drunk on power do. The more powerless they feel without it, the more they enjoy any sliver of it they get and abuse the shit out of it. It’s why Gortash wants control over others in the first place. Inside, there’s a small, scared, unloved little boy, whose parents sold him to a devil.
I blink, my heartbeat spiking, as I realize I’ve just recalled a bit of my past—our past. Something I couldn’t have learned since the nautiloid. Was it Gortash himself, who confided in me, or did I discover this piece of history by myself? It feels like something he would keep very close and tell no one, so it wouldn’t damage the lofty image he’s trying to maintain.
“You’re just being paranoid, kitten,” he brushes me off, but his expression is no longer sporting his typical airy easiness. “When we were together, I was your confidant and your strength against the increasing demands of your Father. But you weren’t some impressionable child. You were determined and unyielding. Sharp as your blades.”
Sharp blades. Bhaal. His demands.
A sinking dread begins to fill my guts and I lift off Gortash’s chest to put some distance between us. My brain is still fuzzy, but bits of memories are beginning to float to the surface of my consciousness.
“Bhaal’s grand design,” I say in a shaking voice, “is for everyone to die for him. I was supposed to kill you, and then myself, as the last mortal alive. Did you know?”
Gortash’s eyes round in horror.
“Of course not! What kind of crazy design is that? How would he get any more murders with no one left to die?”
He’s right, but that doesn’t mean I wasn’t going to try and carry it out, anyway. Just like mad Orin is probably doing now. What a good little Daddy’s lapdog.
“But that wasn’t what you planned for yourself, was it?” I press, my voice steadying with my increasing certainty. “And so I was suddenly in the way. Just what would it take for you to turn on your closest ally? Is her planning your murder enough?”
“What are you trying to say, Talas?” he hisses, but I can see fear in his eyes.
“It was you, wasn’t it?” I growl, sliding away from him, so I can get out of the bathtub without him catching me. “You tried to kill me! Just so I wouldn’t kill you first.”
I jump to my feet, nearly slipping on the smooth wet surface, but holding my balance well enough to scramble out of the water. He tries grabbing my hand, then my leg, but I slip out of his grasp easily. I throw myself towards the desk and retake possession of my only weapon. By the time he’s out of the tub, I’m already pointing it at his throat.
“Listen to me, Talas—” he puts his hands up in a calming gesture, but I’ve had enough of his smooth words for one night.
“You picked up a fucking rock and you beat me and kicked me and tossed me against stone walls!”
I scream and I’m sure my prevalent feelings are pure rage, but out of nowhere I get ambushed by tears and sobs. My memories are still a mess, but the flashes of my body being beaten to a pulp are vivid and terrifying.
“Talas, please—”
“I bled and begged, and you teased and laughed, as if it was the funniest shit you ever got to do! And now that I’m somehow back, you’re trying to get me to believe your sweet lies, just so I won’t remember what you did to me. But I remember! I REMEMBER!”
I know I sound completely unhinged, but my chest is so filled with a mix of the worst feelings I’ve ever experienced, that it threatens to burst.
“IT WASN’T ME!” Gortash’s volume finally matches mine, making me wince and pause just enough for him to get a word in. “I would never hurt you like that! If I really had to kill you, dearest, I would’ve done it quick and clean. Because I love you, you stupid thing!”
His confession feels like a slap to the face. I didn’t see that coming. My first instinct is to pronounce it as another lie, especially in retrospect to the first time he mentioned love tonight, but my mind finally calms enough to actually think.
A man like him wouldn’t say anything like that if he didn’t mean it. It sounded… pathetic. Baring his soul similarly to revealing his most embarrassing childhood memory, knowing his feelings are unrequited. His pride would never allow him to grovel so much. Not anymore, not when he’s got a taste of actually being respected.
“Please, believe me,” he pleads, breath ragged, eyes wide. “I have no reason to hate you. This sounds like someone who had every reason. Who enjoyed your agony and loved seeing you on your knees. I. Would. Never.”
“But you…” I exhale, confused. I’ve almost had it. I’ve almost found the one responsible for my unfortunate fate. “Then who the fuck did this to me?” I whisper and stifle another sob.
“Please put down the dagger, Talas.” Gortash points at the sharp tip still hovering between his clavicles. I reluctantly lower it. I’m honestly pleasantly surprised he let me threaten him for so long without trying to disarm me. It makes me trust him just a smidge more. “And maybe we can figure it out together.”
“Stop calling me that!” I lash out annoyedly. “My name is Nara now. Deal with it.”
“When you stop calling me Gortash,” he smirks in response, his easy charm back.
I groan, rolling my eyes. “Fine. Enver,” I say begrudgingly, but the name feels much better on my tongue than I expected. I must’ve been used to calling him that, just as he said.
I turn to the desk, intent on putting the weapon back, but I freeze mid-step. A mix of stimuli, a flicker of light, a rustle of the fur rug on the floor, perhaps even a smell… and the memory of my attempted murder clears a bit more.
I see a shiny red surface with an opalescent finish. Hear a rustle of a long braid and the pitter-patter of bare feet on stone. I hear laughter again, but this time I’m not just imagining Gortash’s… Enver’s, I clearly recall a woman’s voice having the time of her life.
“Orin.”
The name falls flatly from my lips. I feel cold dread seep into my soul at the image of her. I never quite understood why she had this effect on me—until now. Even though my memory was coming up empty, she was triggering a post-traumatic response all the same, just like when my body yielded to Enver.
“Hm?”
I turn back, dagger still in my hand. I don’t plan on letting go of it any time soon. Enver watches me warily, with a hint of curiosity in his face.
“It was Orin.”
He frowns at first. Opens his mouth, presumably to defend her. Then closes it again, his features smoothing out.
“It makes sense. She took your place, both in the cult and in the Absolute plot. She wanted you gone. And she really seems to hate you, though I wouldn’t expect her to need any solid reason to kick someone to death. She would happily do it just for fun.”
I close my eyes for a second, but I only need a few gulps of breath to make up my mind. I pick up my torn and discarded clothes off the floor and put them back on, securing them in place as well as possible.
“Where are you going?”
Enver reaches for me and grabs my arm. I toss him a warning glare, but don’t move. He’s still naked and wet from head to toe, he poses virtually no danger to me.
“To hunt,” I answer plainly. “I know a mad bitch that needs killing.”
“Don’t be rash,” he shakes his head, some of the slicked back damp hair falling into his eyes. “You can’t know where she is. Or who she is. She could slaughter your whole camp while you sleep and you’d be left alone to face her. Remember, she is the Slayer now.”
“Well, since we’re counting suspects, she could very well be you,” I give him a wry smile. “But I doubt she would keep going this long, having me all to herself like that, so you’re probably safe.” He doesn’t appreciate my joke, scowling like a jack-o-lantern, concern crumpling his features. “I need to go back to my friends and figure out a way to find her before she does any real damage, Enver. I need to go now.”
He slowly lets go of my arm, letting me finish putting the cloak on.
“No need to sneak through the throne room, by the way,” he notes, watching me hide underneath the wide hood. “The Watch was instructed to let you in. If someone could really just sneak past them like that, I could easily expect Orin in your place. Thankfully, the Watch can spot the difference, with you having a tadpole.”
My eyebrows rise. So that’s why he took that bath? Did he think my unsettled hormones would lead me back to Wyrmrock to see him? I clearly never liked grimy men—and he knows it.
“You were waiting for me?”
“I was hopeful,” he confessed, dropping his gaze for a moment. “I couldn’t risk just inviting you. But at least I made sure you would get in without complications. You always did like to have all the facts.”
I chuckle and shake my head. I still believe at least half of his words are lies and most of the other half are cleverly picked and arranged bits of truth. But now I’m also pretty sure there’s something genuine in him, too. Hidden very deep, surrounded by enemies—but it’s there.
“Be safe, Talas,” he says quietly. “Nara,” he corrects himself, smiling softly. “You have your work cut out for you.”
“I’ll do my best to not disappoint,” I shrug, sheathing my dagger, stepping away.
“And will you at least consider my proposition?” He calls after me when I’m almost out the door. His voice sounds tentative. “That’s all I ask.”
I let my gaze slide down the length of his naked body, weighing my options. Well, consideration really costs me nothing, does it? It’s very unlikely that I will agree to it. I have much better prospects in my scope now—much healthier ones. But the least I can do for him is give it a thought.
“Sure,” I grace him with a little smile. “I will consider it.”
Old man Logan x reader
Mutation: Telekinesis, energy manipulation, telepathy
Notes: Sorry I’ve been so inactive I’m really am tryna finish my Hugh Jackman stories xD
As you lay there on the edge of the large king bed, Charles next to you, Caliban on the small sofa in the room and Logan leaning against the wall looking out the window looking like a guard dog.
You want him to lie down, rest, sleep, the overwhelming urge to be good omega and serve your alpha. You stare at the bedside table a little harshly trying to control yourself and your thoughts, the voices have quieted down and stopped now that you focus on it. Growing up in the omega facility they made you control your powers, forced more like till they discovered a truely mutant canceling agent, so you took too many lessons in controlling your mutations, there had been a few times you sent the guards mad on purpose trying to escape but you would just be sedated till you were willing to cooperate so you gave up and gave in. You see Logan shift a small quiet groan leaving his mouth as you hear his hip pop. It makes you jolt and sit up in worry. The old alphas eyes snap to yours frowning.
“You should be asleep” he speaks softly but gruffly putting on a hard face like he’s not in pain.
“Lie down” you mutter getting off the bed as quiet as you can. He raises his eyebrow at you and you keep his gaze.
“Sit down at least please” you whisper and the old alpha sighs and listens. He sits down carefully the bed dipping under his weight, your mind goes into taking care mode kneeling down and taking his boots off.
“Hey-“ he says surprised but you ignore him taking off his boots and socks and lying them neatly by the bedside table. You take off his jacket too and he lets you, eyes watching you carefully. You fold his jacket and lay it on the bedside table nodding to yourself once you’re happy before gesturing for him to lie down. The old alpha grumbles but does as you say. You nod pleased with yourself you finally got your alpha to settle. The thought runs through your mind, ‘your alpha’ you glance to him seeing as he sighs body tense and no doubt in pain. He closes his eyes as you take up his post by the window figuring someone needs to keep look out. You wonder what he’s thinking about but you don’t peer in his mind, not after what you saw, all that family, the x men and the x mansion. What goes to your mind though is the alpha red headed woman, Jean, her name echoing through your mind like a taunt. She’s dead you saw it saw young Logan dig her claws in her stomach and cry. He was handsome when he was young he’s handsome now in a rugged way. You watch the alphas body relax and his breathing evens out, you’re thankful your own body relaxing as he sleeps. You keep look out eventually sitting down on the floor against the wall. Your head lulls and hangs your eyes closing and body drifting to sleep, you jolt to wake yourself up looking out the window seeing silence. You’re just about to dose off again when you hear it, a helicopter. You’re up looking out the window, you force your mind to reach out, there’s ten soldiers and a whole helicopter.
“We need to leave” you almost scream at the voice by your ear. Logan’s already up, waking up Caliban and Charles picking up the old man.
“Tell Jessica we’re leaving, and to keep her family inside” Logan orders you and you nod as he carries Charles down stairs, Caliban behind him. There’s a shot that rings out though, you half expect pain but feeling nothing till Caliban thuds to the floor. You rush to the mutant, holding the home in his chest waking the family you were staying with.
“They’re here for us stay inside!” Logan orders and growls alpha tone coming through as the mates look to each other and hold their son close.
“I’m sorry” you whisper to Caliban staying by him. Liam rushes downstairs and you hear him talking to Logan distantly as Jessica urges her son in the bathroom. Logan comes back up picking up Caliban too with a grim face. You follow them outside seeing Liam throwing some bags into their truck. Charles is in the backseat and Logan plays Caliban in the tray of the Ute. Liam chucks the keys to Logan giving you a small smile before going into the house again to protect his family. Your heart fills and beats rapidly before you jump into the truck. Logan takes off quickly into the corn fields. Your heart pounds as you look back to the house seeing the soldiers and the helicopter flying overhead. You pray the family doesn’t get hurt. The alpha drives quickly apparently knowing where to go, you assume Liam told him as you end up on a named dirt road.
You’re staring back at the house now distance your eyes going wide the world slowing as a loud explosion goes off the and house goes up in flames. Your heart shatters and breaks you let out a cry before you’re grabbed and brought into the old alphas lap somehow. He’s pushed the seat back got one hand on the wheel the other tightly around you.
“Don’t look” he says pressing your head to his neck in silent order. Your body shakes and you cry against him. His hands on your neck keeping a gently but firm hold as you continue to cry and he continues to drive. Your arms are stuck between your bodies as you try to process what just happened.
As the car finally stops on the side of the road by a forest you slowly wake up from your slumber and mumble incoherently at the warmth under you. You open your eyes feel the warm alpha under you breathing evenly and shallowly, he’s asleep. You glance to the backseat seeing Charles asleep also and you think about falling back to sleep yourself before you realise Caliban is dead in the back of the truck. You sit up slowly from Logan’s shoulder seeing his head leant against the window eyes closed. His arms tighten around you suddenly a frown on his face and you curse yourself for moving. His eyes snap open like a startled animal and you freeze on instinct at the sudden anxiety filled alpha scent let out by him. You act on instinct, cup his cheeks his frown deepening before he recognises you in his waking up state. You brush your thumbs over his cheeks feel the surprisingly soft beard hair he has coating his face. He watches you, like a predator, eyes narrowed slightly as you gently move your fingers through his beard testing smiling softly to yourself before his scent calms down fully. His arms haven’t moved from around you, well sort of around you now that you’ve lifted yourself up. His hands rest on the spot just above hips not gripping anymore just lying there. You want to kiss him. You look to his lips shamelessly and wonder what they’d be like pressed against yours in such a moment. Your eyes move to movement though, Charles moving in the back and suddenly Logan’s guiding you off his lap and onto the passenger side. It stings a little, but you understand as he gets out and helps Charles, takes him to the woods behind some bushes. You sag against the leather in the truck, you need to go to the toilet too, you need a damn shower also, but you’re not going out in the woods on the side of the road.
After Logan helps Charles back in the car he grabs a shovel from the truck and heads back to the forest. You know what he’s doing, digging a grave for Caliban. You get out the truck after a while, close the door gently and head to Logan. There’s a stale scent in the air from him as he digs, muscles tense, his eyes glaring at the earth. You wonder if you should help, see if there’s another shovel but the look Logan gives you is heart breaking and you go to him instead wrap your arms around him and comfort him like any omega would. He keeps one hand on the on the shovel one by his side as you force him to bury his face in your neck. He’s so tense and his body no doubt aches, you can smell the emotions in his scent he lets off, feel them even. He leans into you though and you know you did the right thing as his free hand rests on your back, large fingers spread out as he breathes you in. You don’t expect him to cry even though it would do him good, he’s too tense and out in the open to fully let go, but this, this you can offer him.
helloo!! can you do another part of the alphas being late from a mission, like finally the alphas are home i wanna know the reactions of their omegas and pups🥺🥺
This is a popular request, so who am I to deny it?? XD
Okay, part 2 to this post!
Neji:
Neji was so caught up in his anger and frustration that he almost walked head first into someone as he left the hokage's office.
"Excuse me-"
"Neji?"
Neji jumped at the familiar voice, focusing on the person he'd almost bumped into. It was you. You were there, still in your mission clothes, standing there like you hadn't been missing for a month.
"Alpha?" Neji normally used your name in public, but he couldn't stop the title from slipping out as he stared at you in shock.
"Appa!" his pup squealed, holding out her arms excitedly. "Appa! Appa up!"
You immediately scooped your daughter from his arms, leaving Neji feeling strange and empty as he watched you spin her around, excited giggling coming from both parties as the other members of your team watched, amused.
Were you really just back like this? All those sleepless nights... and you were fine all along.
He suddenly felt very, very tired and like he needed to get his family bundled up in his nest where they'd be safe. The urge was so strong it almost burnt him.
"We need to go home," Neji said, voice strained.
"Of course, let me just debrief and-"
"No," Neji said, trying to convey with his eyes that he meant what he was saying. "We need to go home now."
You looked baffled, but hesitantly agreed, thanking your teammates you agreed to debrief on your behalf.
You and Neji walked home, your pup babbling to you about the time you'd been away as best as she could with her limited vocabulary. Neji felt like his brain was in a fog, and he couldn't remember most of the walk by the time he'd reached the front door.
"Shower," he commanded. "A quick one, then come to my nest."
With that, he took the pup back from you and climbed the stairs to the bedroom where he immediately crawled into his nest. He sat, tensed and waiting for you, every bone in his body screaming at him to drag you in there, to make you safe, to protect you, to bring you back into the family when you'd been away for so long.
It felt like an eternity had passed when he finally crawled into his nest, hair still damp from your shower. Normally he’d be unimpressed by such a thing, but right now he couldn’t care any less.
You greeted him with a kiss and a worried look before your attention turned to your daughter. You played and cuddled and joked with her for almost an hour until her nap time hit and she fell asleep.
Neji just watched you both the whole time, trying to ignore how fast his heart was beating.
“Neji?” you asked hesitantly, gently laying down your daughter to sleep and crawling your way over to him. “Are you alright, darling? You’ve been so quiet.”
“I’m fine,” he said, voice strained. But despite his attempts to believe that, his hands started to shake and tears burnt behind his eyes.
You settled beside him, gently reaching out to cup his face. You looked so concerned, and your scent was clouding his mind. He had started to believe that he wouldn’t get to see or smell you again over the past few days.
“I’m home,” you whispered.
And that was all it took to push Neji over the edge. A sob clawed its way out of his throat and the tears started to fall. He pressed a hand over his mouth to smother them.
“Why now?” he asked in between sobs. “I was fine, I was fine, but now I can’t-”
“You were so strong,” you agreed easily, pulling him into your arms. “So strong for our pup while I was gone, but you don’t have to be strong right now, because I’m back. Let me be strong for a bit, my darling.”
Neji was so grateful for the embrace. You were home. You were safe. And his tears wouldn’t stop.
“I’m sorry, so sorry, Neji,” you whispered quietly into his hair while he cried. “The mission got delayed in every single non-life-threatening way and we couldn’t get back. I should have tried harder, I-”
“Stop it,” Neji interrupted. He didn’t want to hear about it, he didn’t want to think about you going on another mission ever again, he wanted to believe, just for a moment, that you would be staying with him and your daughter forever. “I don’t want to talk about it.”
You fell silent at his request, choosing instead to run your fingers through his hair as you embraced. He had missed you so much.
Shino:
A week later and Shibi found his son once again sitting at the kitchen table with him. Today marked one month since the day Shino’s mate was supposed to return and although neither of them had directly acknowledged that, it was clear that they were both painfully aware of the fact.
Shino and his daughter had moved into Shibi’s house a few days ago, seeking refuge from living in a house full of reminders of the person who wasn’t there.
Shibi sighed and placed his hand on his son’s shoulder. Shino was clutching at an empty mug and staring down at the table.
“Shino, I-”
A frantic knock at the door interrupted him. Shino made no attempt to move, so Shibi just squeezed his shoulder gently and went to answer the door himself. The frantic knocking didn’t stop and it grated on Shibi’s nerves.
“Can I help you?” Shibi said coldly, swinging open the door. The air left his lungs when he saw who was there.
“Shibi!” you exclaimed when you saw him. You looked panicked and upset. “Where’s Shino?! And my daughter?! I just got back and our house is half empty! Where-”
The sound of a kitchen chair clattering to the floor stopped you in your tracks. Shibi saw your eyes sharpen. He stepped aside for you to enter, just as Shino entered the hallway behind him. Shino’s skin was paler than normal and his eyes were fixed on your form, unblinking.
“Shino!” the relief in your voice was palpable and you didn’t waste any time pushing past him and clasping Shino’s arms in your hands. “And our baby? Where is she?”
“She’s fine,” Shino said breathlessly, still watching you with wide eyes. “She’s at the academy.”
Shibi saw the relief on your face at that information.
“You scared me,” you admitted quietly, pulling Shino to your chest. “I thought something awful had happened when I saw the half empty house.”
Shibi privately thought that something awful had happened; his son had spent a month believing his alpha to be dead.
Shino’s arms didn’t come up to embrace you back, but instead hung limply at his sides. Shibi watched as his son’s knees gave out. You simply adjusted him and lowered the both of you to the floor.
“It’s okay, it’s okay, I’m back, I’m so sorry, my love,” Shibi heard you whisper. You sounded like you were on the verge of tears and Shino wasn’t any better.
Silently, Shibi slipped on some shoes and grabbed his keys, leaving the couple crying on the floor in each other’s arms as he stepped outside. It was almost time to pick up his granddaughter anyway.
Iruka:
Iruka carried his son all the way home, glaring harshly at any person who gave him strange looks for carrying an 8-year-old. The crying eventually petered out and his son just lay limply, sniffling into Iruka’s shoulder.
“Shhh,” Iruka idly hushed as he approached his front door, trying to fish his keys out of his pocket. “It’s alright, appa’s okay sweetheart.”
When the door finally clicked open, Iruka came face to face with you and he froze. You were walking down the stairs, towel drying your hair. Your face lit up when you saw him.
“Babe! I was just getting ready to come and pick you both up! But you’re early!” your voice was so light and joyful and Iruka suddenly wondered if the whole of the last week had been a hallucination and you had never left at all.
His pup, having heard his appa’s voice, launched himself from Iruka’s arms and ran across the short entryway before latching onto your legs, sobs starting back up. Iruka didn’t mind the shoes in the house on this occasion.
“Appa! You’re alive!” your son wailed, clutching at you with every ounce of strength that he could.
You looked baffled and Iruka didn’t blame you. Just shy of a week really wasn’t long enough to start getting worried, and you had been later than that before with no problems.
“Of course I’m alive,” you said, dropping down to your knees and lowering your joyful voice into something more gentle and soft. “One of my teammates was hit with a paralytic, that’s something that means they can’t move, and they were our only medic, so we couldn’t fix them and had to carry them back to the hospital to get them help, that’s why we were a bit late, that’s all.”
Iruka could tell there was something you weren’t mentioning, but he knew you would tell him later, when your little one was tucked up in bed. Probably your bed tonight.
Your pup wound his arms around your neck, nodding at your story but still refusing to let go. You stood back up, taking your son with you. Iruka had a feeling that he would be impossible to separate from you for a while.
“What happened?” you mouthed at him.
“Tell you later,” he mouthed back, stepping closer to rub his son’s back.
You nodded, adjusting your son into one arm and using the newly free one to drag Iruka to your side.
“I’m home,” you said, pressing a kiss to Iruka’s head.
Iruka took a moment to bask in your scent, banishing those final flickers of anxiety that you wouldn’t be returning to him.
“Welcome home.”
Prompt fill for @astreamofstars from this ask meme: Something Rotten Sentence Starters Jaheira - "I make it look easy but honey, believe me, it's hard." I'm doing your requests a little out of order bc this idea popped to mind. XD Set in Rakha's playthrough, directly after this big ficlet post-Gortash reveal.
-----
Judging by the moon, it is nearing five o’clock in the morning. Exhaustion has greyed out the corners of Jaheira’s vision, but she has not left her post. Rakha still sleeps curled in a ball nearby; she hasn’t stirred, but Jaheira can see the muscles of her shoulders twitching and hear the low, indistinct mumbling from the half-orc’s direction.
Lae’zel’s voice startles her like a gong going off in her ear. “You have not slept, jhe’stik.”
Jaheira’s head jerks up and she has one scimitar half out of its sheath before she fully registers what’s going on. Lae’zel, moving equally by instinct, lashes out one hand, catching Jaheira’s wrist against her bracer to halt the movement.
For a moment the two women look at each other in silence. Then Jaheira laughs softly and slides the sword back into hiding again. “You are a quick one,” she murmurs.
Lae’zel does not smile, nor does she relax. “I have come to relieve you,” she says crisply. “You will need rest if you are to lead us in the morning.”
One of Jaheira’s eyebrows twitches up. “Is that what I am doing?" she asks mildly. "You follow Rakha, do you not?” In spite of Rakha's broken mind, she has always behaved as the leader of the ragtag bunch; certainly Lae'zel always seems to defer to her.
Lae'zel shrugs. “I have watched your movements through the camp. You steady morale. You prevent conflict.” She inclines her head. “The Harpers must be a fighting force of great discipline.”
“Mm. Less so than you would think, more often than not,” Jaheira says, her lips twitching.
If Lae’zel registers the humor, she ignores it completely. “And Rakha is…” She hesitates. “Troubled,” she finally says, turning to look at Rakha's still, curled-up form on the ground. “The urge which torments her grows stronger. I am not blind to it. Gortash tempts her with… belonging, with certainties. She will need a firm hand’s guidance.”
Jaheira tips her head back against the tree behind her to examine the young gith thoughtfully. “And I mean to do my best to give her one," she says after a moment's pause. "Though you should not discount your own worth in that regard. You provide it for her as well; you must, for you traveled together many weeks without my aid.”
Lae’zel flinches from the words as if they pain her. “She does not hear me,” she mutters. “Not as she once did. The more allies we gain, the less my words reach her.”
A slight smile, edged with sympathy, touches Jaheira’s lips. “A difficult thing when you care for her.”
Lae’zel stiffens, scowling. “T’rac’shka ahrit,” she mutters. “Jhe’mak pirrit y’chk yank m’renna. The matter at hand is the good of the troop. It is a child who places sentiment above survival.”
“Mm. And you are no child.” Jaheira looks at her steadily.
A long silence. Lae’zel’s eyes narrow and she looks away. “Perhaps not. But I have been declared hshar’lak by my goddess. The prince of the Comet lies beyond my reach. The way ahead is… unclear.”
It’s an exquisitely subtle plea for help. Jaheira can hear the muted desperation in it. Please, she is saying, in the language of emotional reserve and inhibition that both of them speak fluently. Please… I don’t know what to do.
Jaheira exhales through her nose. Neither do I, she thinks ruefully. But she cannot say it aloud. The past few hours have shown all too clearly that the morale and cohesion of this group is strained and tense, ready to snap. Whatever her own reservations, Jaheira cannot risk unsettling it further.
Gathering up the ragged edges of her strength, she sits up straighter and meets Lae’zel’s eyes directly. “In the morning we will seek the aid of my Harpers,” she says firmly. “And then we will go into the Lower City.”
It’s not much of a plan, but it doesn’t really have to be; Lae’zel visibly relaxes at the direct, matter-of-fact instruction, at having orders to obey. Her bearing straightens and she gives a sharp nod. “Yes,” she agrees. Taking a step back, she pivots her body slightly and then sits down on a nearby rock, fixing her eyes again on Rakha's body. “So - I relieve you. I will take the watch.”
Jaheira chuckles softly. “There is no shaking you off, is there?” she says. But Lae’zel is right, of course. She must sleep, even if only for an hour or two, if she is to be of any use to the rest of them.
And that is, after all, what matters most.
#ask meme#astreamofstars#jaheira#lae'zel#bjk plays bg3 durge#rakha the dark urge#hey i love this character so i'm gonna pour more and more stress on her#XD#this is one where i think the idea in my head worked a bit better than the execution.#but playing with what we've talked about re: jaheira not being as confident as she acts a lot of the time#act 3 in rakha's run definitely proving to be a story about jaheira at the same time#idk if that's bc of the durge storyline or just because i have jaheira on the brain all the time XD either way i think it is interesting th#also i will give a cookie to anyone who picks up on the gith pun included in this ficlet XD#bc i am now at the brainrot point where i come up with puns in the githyanki tongue XD
1. how many works do you have on ao3?
13 🙃
2. what's your current ao3 word count?
73.611 (not that bad i guess but i wish it was more)
3. what fandoms do you write for?
only bbc sherlock for now but i am thinking of writing for good omens too :)
4. top five fics by kudos?
-> Rosie's Elephant in the Room
-> Human Urges
-> Let Me Fix You
-> Halloween
5. do you respond to comments? why or why not?
yes! i respond to every single one (unless it is only an emoji... but even then i do it most of the time)
why? because i fucking LOVE connecting with my readers! and i wanna make them keep commenting on fics. because comments are so fucking important!!! they are what keep us writers going!
6. what's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
aaah probably Missing (but that will be happy again!)
so in the end it is THE LONELIEST
7. what's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
JOHNLOCKed in a Closet, i'd say
8. do you receive hate?
thank goodness i don't!
9. do you write smut?
nope. i write some subtle sex scenes, but never long ones or intensely described. i just don't feel comfortable with it.
10. do you write crossovers?
nope. seems too complicated to me 😂 i don't really read them either so ig i don't have the urge to write them. ooh, wait i wrote a short freebatch/star wars/johnlock kind of crossover once. prompt: "geeking out over something" (day 14 of my otp challenge! that i might have ignored for about a year now... whoopsie)
11. have you ever had a fic stolen?
3 times that i know of. novelhd dot com is a bitch. they stole JOHNLOCKed in a Closet (JLiaC), Strawberries and Cigarettes (S&C), and my oneshots on wattpad. it is fucking heartbreaking and really made me lose some trust in humanity as well as my motivation to write for a long time... DO NOT STEAL FICS!
12. have you ever had a fic translated?
19. what was your first fandom?
*sigh* bbc sherlock, my babes. ;)
20. what's your favorite fic you have ever written?
first thought of day 9: hugging of my otp challenge. it's an alternative ending to TLD. it's a bunch of big emotions, big words and and big moments. - ghost mary actually is one of the big reasons they finally get together!!!
Travelling experience in a 6 and a half hour flight.. with 2 of us who don't like plane restrooms. (If the response on this is good I'll give more detailed things if they happen xD)
We both had drinks before our flight—she had coffee, and I had a strawberry lemonade about 1.5 hours before departure. Used the restroom, found a place to sit and waited for the boarding process. As we boarded, I felt the urge to use the restroom but decided to wait until we were on the plane.
I'm already feeling it. I have to go soon. I brush it off, I'll just get on the plane and use the restroom when she says she needs to go too (which is usually the case).
My bladder feels heavy as soon as I sit in the middle of the four seats on the plane, surrounded by two people occupying the aisle seats. The day the belt was set up tight, I could physically sense it pressing against my bladder as I put it around my waist. It takes a long time to board, and as we take off, I finally fall asleep.
When I wake up, my bladder is definitely letting me know I need to pee. I lightly press my bladder— it is full. I am wondering how the coffee hasn't made her pee yet, but she seems at ease. She keeps drinking water.. I cross my legs and decline her offer of water.
It had only been 45 minutes, but all I could think about was how strong the urge was growing. As I listen to music, my main concern is when she asks me whether we should get up to use the restroom.
I begin repositioning myself on the seat in an attempt to reduce discomfort. I remove my belt. I never do that typically. I have to go soon. I consider asking to use the restroom, but then I decide to give her some time to relax. I'll wait another hour before asking.
Time goes by, and I don't ask. Time seems to be moving more slowly than before as I sit there with my legs together, trembling, trying to ignore the urge. Food comes and goes. I gently rub my palm over my lower abdomen. If I were at home, this would feel like a dream. I try to watch movies, but all I can think about is what might happen if I get up and pee myself. I get turned on and begin to think NSFW things.
I place my arms on my bladder.. it already had a blunt ache now its being pressed even more.. the tray table comes down and i have limited space to move.. as she sleeps i moan in desperation. Throughout the flight just continuously exhaling sharply and letting out soft moans.
As the flight nears its landing, I'm shifting my weight since my abdomen feels sore significantly. Suddenly, she says, "The moment we land, we need to look for the restroom. I desperately have to go." I agree, and those comments make me feel turned on. When we land I'm pushing her out of the aisle so we can go.
We notice a restroom as soon as we arrive, but there is a problem with arrivals, and our connecting gate is across the airport via a bus journey. She fortunately states, "Let's go to the toilet; I need to relieve myself so bad it's coming out. It's begun to come out a bit," while I'm attempting to be calm. Don't turn me on just yet, Mnh.
It's uncommon that I've seen both of us look so relieved after using the restroom.
I can still clearly recall my thoughts. I'll attempt to record them.
I need to go to the restroom. Why won't she get up? There is no way that the coffee hasn't filled her bladder completely. (I lightly strike the side of her stomach.) She just sleeps and watches shows..how... This is the actual test for your bladder, and it feels so amazing. God, it's about to come out. Ahhh, if I don't go soon. Of course, I'm switched on throughout the flight, but I would love to do this at home. *Put ideas of omo.. nsfw.. scenarios in my head*.. *Desperate panicking*
Just really wanted to share this with someone.. I've got more stories.. I even remember those switched on thoughts... I can post em depends
hello! 2, 5, or 6 for the ask meme? : D
Thanks for the ask, anon! (questions are from this ask meme) 2. Will you participate in any fandom exchanges or fic challenges, etc? I really really really want to, but I always seem to either miss the signups for them or forget that they're happening... 6. Which yet-to-be-started fic is first on your list?
It's 100% a DickTim witcher au >:3c further details in another answer (here)
5. Which WIP is first on your list to complete this year? Will you post a snippet?
Definitely the Tim comes back wrong fic, now with vampirism XD
The fic is currently 21k long, so this counts as an excerpt, right? right
Forty-two minutes after Tim’s alarm went off, Dick watches him shuffle past the kitchen’s bar counter. It’s five minutes longer than it took him yesterday morning and nine minutes longer than the one before that.
There’s a dull, flat-sounding whump that is almost certainly Tim collapsing onto nearby couch.
Dick gives himself the space of two inhales before he puts aside the peppers he’d been chopping, wiping his hands on a nearby towel.
The area just outside of the kitchen is a moderately large, well-appointed living room. Couches form three sides of a square, with the fourth side being closed off by an unnecessarily large flatscreen.
As he approaches the nearest couch, he sees several of the throw pillows scattered across the floor. Peering over the back of it, he sees Tim lying prone with his face buried in a pillow. There’s a faint groaning sound coming from him.
“How did you sleep?” Dick asks, trying not to sound as hesitant as he feels.
Another groan.
“That well, huh?”
Tim shifts, flopping over onto his back with all the grace of a fish left on the shore. His eyes are still closed, and that makes it harder to ignore how the skin beneath them seems almost translucent, highlighting the veins in his lower eyelids.
“I’m not sure I did,” Tim mutters. “Not for lack of trying…”
His eyes blink open. Today they’re a deep, nearly-luminescent green. The color’s full in a way that the rest of Tim isn’t. Each day, his skin seems a little more pale and his cheeks seem a little more gaunt.
The urge to reach down and stroke the too-defined line of his cheekbone makes itself known in the back of Dick’s mind. But he quashes the thought before it can gain any traction.
“Do you want tea?” he asks. “Coffee? Something else?”
“Breakfast?” Tim asks, sounding hopeful.
“Sure. It’ll be a few minutes though.”
Right on cue, Tim’s stomach rumbles. He rests his hand on it delicately, his expression screwing up a bit.
“Did I hear a delivery person come by earlier?” he asks before Dick can voice the concern that he’s certain is bleeding through his expression.
“Uh, yeah. I sweet-talked Tam into having some more groceries put on the company’s discretionary spending budget.”
How, exactly, Tim heard that from upstairs is anyone’s guess. When Dick had checked in on him before coming down to the kitchen, he’d been sleeping so deeply that he seemed dead to the world.
“Anything good?” Tim asks him, looking hopeful.
“Depends on what you think is good. My current plan is making a mountain of bacon and maybe some toast.”
Tim’s hand finds the back of the couch, curling around it as his fingers dig in hard enough to look nearly bloodless. He uses that grip, plus a hand on the cushions beneath him, to push himself up until he’s sitting.
When he wobbles a little at the top of his arc, Dick puts a hand on his shoulder to steady him.
Tim narrows his eyes a bit, shaking off the assistance. Stubbornly, he starts to stand. A tremor runs through the muscles of his legs and back. He circles around the couch, walking to the kitchen. He even manages to make it most of the way there before his legs start to give out on him.
Dick rushes to catch him, getting an arm around his back and looping one of Tim’s over his shoulder. The maneuver thankfully keeps Tim from crumpling onto the floor. Its also ends with Tim pressed up against him, his hands flat on Dick’s chest.
His body trembles where it’s pressed against Dick. When he shifts, his breath is warm against Dick’s neck.
Dick’s skin tingles with the feeling of it. Even more so when he feels what might be Tim’s lips brush against him - before Tim is pulling back out of his arms, doing his best to stand on his own.
taris agent story mention trap card activated; I'm REAL curious to know how arkady is feeling about how everything goes on taris? a couple credits for his (preliminary at least) thoughts?
Well, first off, he's extremely wary of Lokin. He clocked how dangerous the Affable Unassuming Old Man is within second, just didn't figure out the "can transform into a rakghoul (almost) at will" part. (But really, who expects something like that?)
He hates Taris as an environment. Arkady is a city boy. He was born and raised on Ziost. Sure there was training for different terrain, but that doesn't mean he enjoys it. xD He does not like trekking through swamps and dodging cityscape debris and mud and predators and this is so much worse than the Dromund Kaas jungles.
He's... a bit of a mess mentally for a bunch of reasons, not the least of which is the brainwashing reveal. I think that hit him even harder than it did Ody and it flipped her world upside down. He tried to blame it on the Sith, but couldn't ignore the reality of even if they asked for it, Keeper(the First) complied. He hates so much that it proves Watcher X right. Oh, my gosh, he's so grumpy about that. But he's still sorting through it all--Imperial Intelligence brainwashed him, Republic SIS found out how to control him using it, he's supposed to infiltrate and destroy this cell but does he really want to do that? These seem like good people, who are doing what they have to to protect their people, and really, how different are they from him?
(and floating in the background of it all is Watcher Two's voice saying high Imperial citizen casualties from the Eradicators are acceptable if it lets them stop Jadus. Even having joined Intelligence more to get away from home than anything it bothers him that she's ready to make that sacrifice so easily. First crack in his resolve.)
Chance is easy to work with; trusts him to do the job and seems to accept he's working on it even with complications. (Arkady spends half of Taris fighting the urge to ask how long Chance as been an agent bc he's way more trusting than any other spy he's met. >.>) Ardun's reaction to/commentary on Ki Sazen is what makes Arkady suspect the man's a Jedi himself; it sounds like way too personal an issue. Does make him smirk a little the Jedi seem to have the same issues as the Sith with rogue members and the like.
All of my agents are what might seem too forgiving of Ardun and Chance using the keyword and even if he's not questioning as much as, say, Jaaide or Ody, Arkady's no exception. In fact, I think he's bothered by it almost the least(might be tied with Ody), bc with his ruthlessly pragmatic streak he would do the same as Ardun without hesitation. (He wouldn't even be sorry; this is a war and protecting your assets comes first) (Besides, there's that slave you inject with what's basically the prototype serum for the Castellan Restraints back on DK, so it'd be massively hypocritical bc he DID do the exact same thing)
Him saving Chance instead of letting him die is the second crack in his loyalty. He should be "eliminating the enemy" and this is literally the perfect cover; he wouldn't even have to do anything, his inaction would be enough. Just let Chance succumb to his wounds. But he doesn't. Bc he's not a bad person, and pragmatically speaking, helping Chance will further ingratiate him with the team.
By the time he actually confronts Ki Sazen, he's pretty thoroughly convinced she's crazy. Also acting like a petulant child who ran away from home bc she didn't get her way. He killed her, bc there's no way Arkady is going to suggest someone join the Sith, and he wouldn't think she has the temperament for spy work so SIS is out too. (Also that line about "You were a savior. Now you're a martyr" is a banger)
I don't think he'd completely sorted through all his thoughts and emotions about his, uh, circumstances by the time he left Taris. He definitely dislikes the Sith even more now(haha can't wait til he romances Lana and has to Rethink Biases), he picked up a new nexu pet who will love him no matter what his decisions, and he's further embedded himself with Kothe's team, which he tells himself is good bc it'll let him do his job better. Not bc he's actually starting to like most of them. >:3
#queen in space#arkady marcrosse#WOWW that ran away from me#enjoy!#i don't have a name for his nexu yet#i don't imagine arkady's good at naming things xD#swtor
I think I remember you saying that Zeke is a bhaalspawn but not necessarily a durge? What's his whole deal? Does he have the murder urges? Was he ever involved in the Bhaal cult or the absolute plot? How does the bhaalspawn stuff affect his BG3 run?
Oh yeah! I've never really dived into that on here have I? XD
This is very much me playing around with BG3 canon which is why I've been shy about sharing it. I apologise in advance to anybody that knows the lore of Baldur's Gate better than I do.
Story time under the cut (it's rather long):
In short, Zeke was born as a half-elf bhaalspawn during the previous Bhaalspawn crisis. Shrike is the 'Dark Urge' as we know them in the game, Zeke is just a random bhaalspawn that has been hidden away in the Hells.
Long version: He was raised in a temple in the Moonshae Isles, which has a very troubled past with Bhaal in particular. His parents were paladins and tried to raise him to be a paladin like themselves. However they grew afraid of him as his murderous urges started to become apparent. They believed him to be inherently wicked and used harsh discipline to mould him into a weapon for justice, but there was no love between them. Even though he was just a child, they denied him that parental love he craved. Their negligence only drove him to appear more cold and monstrous.
One day, the paladins of his temple captured an Archdevil and planned to destroy him as a sacrifice to their god (which, I haven't figured out yet). They placed the devil in the same holding pens as the young Ezekiel (as Zeke was known then), which was exactly what the devil had intended. The devil introduced himself as Caedes and empathised with the boy's plight; he knew how awful it was for people to see you only as a monster, and how cruel his parents were to keep him like a caged animal. He bemoaned about how scared he was of dying and how much he longed to be back home with his beloved, an erinye called Solaris. Moved by the devil's words, Ezekiel freed Caedes from his cage and immediately drew the ire from his former family. The devil gave him an ultimatum: stay at the temple where the paladins will surely kill Ezekiel for his betrayal, or return with him to the Hells where he will raise him like his own child. Ezekiel agreed to go with the devil. His final memory of that day is watching the temple being engulfed in blue hellfire. Caedes got exactly what he wanted: the spawn of a deity. One he could shape to suit his own purpose.
Caedes and Solaris kept to their word and raised Zeke like any mortal parent would. The influence of the Hells shaped his body as that of a tiefling; Caedes himself chose some of his tiefling traits such as his horns, which are identical to his own. Zeke often tells the story of how the first birthday party he ever had was arranged by devils. He just never remembered how many birthdays he had. He believes he's 26, but he's been 26 for over 70 years. Unbeknownst to him Caedes had bestowed on him a 'Charm of Agelessness' so, whilst technically mortal, he will never age without Caedes's consent. It was a strange childhood in Maladomini, but Zeke adapted to it well enough. His parents educated him on devil politics in their palace, and there was no shortage of fiends to fight to satiate the bhaalspawn's bloodlust.
After decades of struggling without infernal magic and relying on his 'father' Caedes to patch him up after every fight, Caedes eventually offered him a warlock pact. As part of that pact, he included a clause allowing him to treat Zeke 'as his own flesh and blood'. This meant that Zeke can be controlled completely by Caedes whenever he so chooses, essentially granting the devil a vessel to roam the material plane as he pleases. He uses this control mostly to modify Zeke's unpleasant memories to keep him pliable content, and keep him ignorant of his Bhaalist heritage. After the contract is signed, Zeke is dropped back into the material plane with no friends, no family (other than his 'parents' in the Hells), and no real purpose. He does some adventuring trying to help where he can, but he's just so incredibly lonely.
At the start of the events of the game, Zeke is captured whilst saving townsfolk from the nautiloid. He has no clue who Bhaal is, or what the intentions of the Absolute are, and he certainly has never been a part of any Bhaalist cult. His 'amnesia' is just cluelessness. He helps the other tadpoled companions because that's the right to do and he's so lonely. It does mean that he has no fewer than four presences in his head at any one time: Bhaal, Caedes, a mindflayer tadpole, the Emperor, and himself. No wonder he makes badly thought through decisions. It's very crowded in that brain of his.
#perdita rambles#long post#beecreeper#i really enjoyed writing this#so thank you for asking!#I really hope this is somewhat interesting#I'm not great at being concise with these things XD#Durge! Zeke
