One of my literature professors is ADAMANT that the vampire myth can be traced to old folklore about the reps and them reviving and possibly the blood-drinking comes from an evolution of the myth when before, old stories talked about blood soaking the earth where vampires rose. The way reader holds the recruits arms, hips, shoulders everything. Despite she was just trying to help he felt jealous. That should him who she's touching like that. Not that recruit. He watched as the sparring session between the two, his attention was at her(reader) and her only. Task Force 141 and Shadow Company worked together on another mission and intel operation. You and Gaz were sent first to help Commander Graves gather intel from a base located in the Middle East. After coming back with a successful amount of intel and a day-long rest, Philip found you training and sparring with the men on his team. Velikan was instructed by Gaz himself to be rough with his training and sparring session with you, he was hesitant at first but soon warmed up to you. Graves admired you from far away the whole time, always in the back just observing and chuckling to himself when you'd win or lose a sparring match.

This kind of day has become usual for you all. So much so that you grew close to the people in Shadow Company. Eventually, Laswell instructed you to leave back to the Task force's base. Time passed and you heard little from Shadow Company.

Months pass and eventually, the task force needs the help of Shadow Company. As all the others get settled in the bunks, Graves walks around the base. He checks out all the training rooms and overall enjoys his walk around the base. From afar, a lit room could be seen. He gets curious and when he walks in, he sees Velikan and you. Originally he asked for some tips back at the Shadow Company base and this time was no different, you were teaching him ways to improve his stance and some other easier ways of fighting.

Graves leans on a darkened wall, lights dim on that side where he was at. All those months when you stayed with Shadow Company, he admired you from afar, rarely talked to you but was always so polite. If you asked Gaz about why Graves was that way with you, he would smirk and shrug. It eventually created a small fixation in Graves's head, liking you was more of a hobby when he would learn things you liked, all so he could impress you someday. When that someday didn't arrive and Gaz and you flew back to England, he lost hope in confessing. After that, he told himself he didn't like you, that it was just him being some desperate single military man and that, that was the reason behind him improving himself for you. It had to be, right? Not because you were so smart, funny, strong and beautiful…not that.

Now as he watches a man from his team be so close to you, it seems unfair. What does he have that Graves doesn't? Not charisma, that's for sure. So, he kept cool and walked away. With time, he got close to the others in your team. He was brave enough to command an army of men and women yet he couldn't confess that he liked you and that he would do his best to be the man you deserve. And then…your hand went to his shoulder, Velikan's hand on your hip as you taught him one of your favourite yet best moves. You and he laughed trying to stay serious and as he and you fought using all the moves taught that is when Graves walked to you both.

Before you even noticed him, Velikan was pinned to the ground. It was impressive but Graves did not like it at all. He was supposed to be the one there, to have you in his arms, both for comfort and for other activities. Maybe for lovemaking. "Sergeant, get off my soldier and Velikan, get out." He said through gritted teeth. Shit, did Soap get him in a bad mood again? You thought. "Graves we are training-" the man tried to explain. "Do not give me a reason to make you run around the base- a matter of fact go fucking run." He snapped his fingers in the direction of the door. "Don't abuse your power-" Velikan tried once more but failed. "OUT!"

When he left the training room, Graves turned to you. "You know, you didn't have to be rude to him," you speak calmly. "I did, especially with what he was doing." Your brows furrowed, "What was he doing?" Graves shook his head in disbelief, it was as if you didn't notice how the man touched his girl…his fucking girl. "He was touching you, what's more to explain." You chuckle, "Oh that? No we were sparring," you explain but still, he didn't see it that way.

"No…not the way he looked at you, not how he grabbed you and especially not how he stared at you. What, are you training him on how to get women?" You sigh, a stubborn man he is. "No, and besides that is still no reason to get mad." "Maybe it isn't but-…fuck it- I like you…no I feel strongly about you. I like you Sergeant R/N, you are a sweet girl and you are so independent and funny and so cute and…why can't you see me?" You were taken by surprise and before a smile fully formed on your lips, he continued. "Do you have any idea what I'd do for you?" "…I don't think so-"

"And that is our problem. I would do it all. I like how you are so positive and so naive, it's absurd how it took me so long to say this. If one day you look up to the sky and see no stars, it's because I stole them for you. Even if you weren't real I would make you up, I'd brag about how beautiful your heart is, even if it gets me killed. I like how smart you are, and how you glow when you share a fact about something, it's beautiful to watch you stand up for yourself and how gorgeous it is to see you be so independent and I'll admit I want to be the guy you depend on for basic needs."

He walks closer, "I wouldn't disappoint you, trust me okay? I want to see you shine, want to see you glow and be the centre of a room. I want to be the guy you go home to. I want you, the good, bad and everything you can give me." His hands hold yours, placing them over his heart. "If I could lie to you, I'd say I don't believe in love at first sight. But when I saw you be you, how you didn't change no matter the situation, that's when I fell in love."

"Graves-" "Let me confess it all, R/N…please just let me say the words I've been dying to say." One nod from you and he goes on. "One stare from you, just one and it makes my day. You pat my back after a long day and I go to my room excited to prove the next day that I am worth more than a pat. That I can be the guy to watch from the stands as you shine. I get it now, I get why those romance films get you excited, why you read romance, I do because now I know and understand how good and strong real love feels."

"What if I'm not the girl you think I am?" "You see, that's where you are wrong." "I am?" "Yes, let me explain, okay?" "…okay." your voice small "With every girl I've ever met, I never felt this strong about them. With reason, I know now that all those kisses from past lovers were missing something, they were missing you…" "But-" "My love, please let me explain further." He takes a deep breath and looks at you with conviction, "I was full of doubt, I was scared of why I didn't feel so strongly about someone." He kisses your hands and places them back over his heart. "It's so lovely to get to know you, truly. I promise that someday, when we get married, you'll be the one who runs it, whatever you say goes and that is final." You chuckle and he smiles. "I'm being serious here."

"I want to give you reasons to fall for me every day of our lives. I need to be the guy who you look at and smile and go, 'Yeah…I did right' and I swear to be that forever."

"Pinky promise?"

König was shocked. This got to be some sick Joke. Your name is not Ashley and you definitely wouldn’t harm someone. You can’t even kill a spider and start crying when König tells you to just do it. But he decided to swipe and he sees the conversation between you and this person. And then it clicks.

Ashley, the wanted serial killer in England and Austria, is you? That doesn’t make sense. No.

He lets the phone rest on the kitchen table and calls for you. You were in the bathroom, taking off your make up and getting ready for bed. You just got home from a long and exhausting shift. Or were you really at the hospital?

"Yes, love?“ you enter the room and you see him looking at you. But something was strange. Why is he wearing his mask? And why is he looking at you like you killed someone?

"You’re Ashley?" his voice cold and you could hear the disappointment in his voice. Your smile quickly drops and you look at him completely baffled.

"How?" your voice low and you look down. How could this happen? You made sure that no one ever finds out your true identity. The only thing you let the world know is that your name is Ashley, which is not true, and that you’re fighting for justice, since the government is failing so many women and children. The person who is sending you all these details is your best friend. König likes her because he knows that she is a good influence and you grew up together. But you’re not gonna expose her. Your eyes land on your phone and you don’t know how to feel. Mad because he was on your phone. Or scared that König might tell on you now.

"I can explain" you tell him and he doesn’t break the gaze. You take a step forward but he takes one back. You stop at his reaction and you could swear you felt your heart drop.

"König. I swear I don’t kill innocent people. Only rapists and child abusers. And only then when the government is not doing anything. These women and children are scared and don’t dare to go out because they never know when they might get killed. I swear to you." you desperately explain and your body needs a reaction from him, but he doesn’t react at all. He looks to the side and you wish you could see how he feels now. But he decided to cover his face again, making it hard for you to know how he feels right now.

"Ashley, huh?" his voice is harsh. You don’t dare looking at him. The weight of disappointment settles upon you soul like a leaden cloak, suffocating and heavy, the jagged edges of their expectations carving deep grooves of remorse through the tender fabric of one's self-worth, leaving behind a bitter residue that stains the heart's delicate tapestry for eternity. It is a hollow ache, an echoing chasm where warmth once resided, as the realization of your inadequacy seeps through the cracks of shattered trust, forever haunting the corridors of the conscience with its haunting refrain of missed opportunities and shattered dreams.

“Leave, please" his frigid and callous voice erupted like an icy tempest, each word crystallizing into shards of anguish that pierced the very depths of your soul, leaving behind a lingering ache that whispered of betrayal and shattered trust. You look at him and you can feel the tears build up in the corner of your eyes. Please, no…

“Y/N. Please. I just need time to think” for a second, you hesitate. You don’t want to leave. You both know that what you’re doing is a good thing. Making Women and Children feel safe. But he can’t think straight right now. And you respect that. So without saying anything, you leave, hoping for him to call you as soon as possible. Because your heart can’t stay away from him.

"Job is done. Payment should follow like usual. Don’t call me unless I call you." you whisper-tell you secret boss. Simon doesn’t know anything about your secret life. You were working as a secret assassin whenever Simon was deployed and when he was at home, you were a nurse.

As you turned around, you saw Simon leaning against the doorframe, looking at you like you were his enemy. At this sight, your heart dropped.

"Simon." you innocently spoke and hid your phone in your back. You smile at him and look at his cold and stony eyes. You felt your heart beat faster and you hope that he didn’t hear you talking about the mission.

"Where were you?" his voice deep and harsh, causing you to jump, since you’re not known to this side of Simon. He would never talk to you like that. He promised himself to be better for you. You gave him nothing but love and comfort so he promised you to be better than ever.

"At the hospital" after these words leave your lips, he starts laughing and shaking his head.

"stop lying" he suddenly yells at you. You take a step back and drop your phone, letting it crack against the cold and hard floor of your shared bedroom. "Where. Were. You. I saw you leave a house. Who was it?" he takes a few steps towards you, closing the distance between you and him.

"Simon. It’s not what you think about." you barely whisper and he lets out a deep chuckle. "Then what is is?" he softly grabs your face with one hand. He usually did this when you weren’t holding eye contact. And now you don’t know how to react. You are already exposed, so you can also just tell him what you did. But if you do, you need to leave tonight. The chances of him calling the cops is too high. Especially when he finds out you’re one of the most wanted female serial killer.

"I killed someone. Someone not innocent. Will Ricksen. He raped his wife and got away with it because he owns a company in the US. The wife got in contact with us because she got threatened by him and she doesn’t want to live with fear anymore. I didn’t cheat on you. I could never. I only kill child abusers and rapists that get away with it. I swear to you, I would never kill someone who is innocent." you close your eyes, afraid to look at him. You were waiting for him to yell at you, scream and tell you how much he is disappointed in you. You were waiting for him to do anything that would break you down, but it never happened. Instead, you felt his rough hands patt the top of your head. And then, the unexpected happens.

Simon pulls you in tight hug and kisses the back if your head. This reaction of him left you confused and baffled. You hesitantly hug him back and bury your face into the crook of his neck.

"Don’t get caught." his voice was trembling and it felt like the inner child in him just spoke. You knew about his traumatic past and you understand his feelings. If you had the chance to kill his father, you would. When he told you his story, you cried. You hugged him so tightly, you were afraid to let go of him.

He didn’t let you go and he reassured you that he won’t tell anyone.

“Johnny. Please let me explain…" you desperately beg him to let you explain what exactly is going on but it looks like that he has heard enough.

"John, please" you took steps towards him, trying to fight for him, trying to show him that you’re not a bad guy.

"Stop." his harsh voice yelled at you and you stopped right where you are. "Don’t. I love you. But I need some time now. I won’t tell anyone. Just- leave me alone now" without looking back, he smashed the door behind him, making you flinch and leaving you there, heartbroken and angry at yourself. You don’t regret anything. You only regret letting him find it out like that.

You could get into Jail."

"But Kyle," you pleaded, a note of desperation creeping into your voice, "I just want to understand that I need a chance to explain."

Silence hung heavy in the air, the weight of unspoken words pressing upon them both. Kyle's gaze softened, his eyes searching yours for a moment before he finally spoke, his voice filled with a mix of sincerity and vulnerability.

"Y/N" he murmured, his voice gentle yet laden with uncertainty, "I need some space. I need time to think, to sort through everything. I have to figure things out on my own."

A lump formed in your throat as the weight of his words settled upon you. The reality of the situation washed over you like a cold wave, leaving you feeling adrift and uncertain. Nodding slowly, you whispered, "Kyle- I understand. Take the time you need. Just... promise me you'll come back."

He didn’t even look at you before he responded "Stop" he said, his voice filled with some kind of sadness and disbelief "Just give me a little time."

With those words, a bittersweet ache settled in your heart, as you watched Kyle retreat into the distance, leaving you alone with your thoughts and the hope that, in time, you would find your way back to each other again.

You wished he never found out. But you don’t regret any single thing.

The dusty wind whispered through the corridors of the hidden military base, carrying tension on its ethereal tendrils as Alejandro and you found yourselves embroiled in a heated argument. Snd this only because he went through your phone, for an unknown reason, and he found the photos of the people that got away with Rape. But he didn’t know who they were, so he thought you were hurting innocent people, which you could never do.

"I ONLY HURT PEOPLE WHO HURT PEOPLE" Your voice clashed, words laden with frustration and hurt. The walls trembled with the intensity of the exchange, the air thick with unspoken fears and unmet expectations. Alejandro's piercing gaze met yours, his jaw clenched with a mix of anger and concern. "Mi Amora" he growled, "your job is at the hospital. And now you‘re a serial killer and…"

But defiance burned in your eyes as you stood your ground, your voice trembling with determination. "This is what I do, Alejandro. I protect these people, just like you do. I can't sit idly by while others suffer. It's in my blood. And I will continue protecting these women and children who cry for help!"

Hihi I'm the anon who sent in the other yan TFs question, since you said you were "still working on" Harper, I began trying to think about it too. Maybe the predator would be leaning moreso on the fantastical side but still within the realm of reason when it comes to this area, anyways. Full Episode Commentary

2x9: Katerina

I was gonna do something special with this episode, but it'll require too many gifs. I'm just gonna make it easy and say that the episode ends opposite the open. Stefan and Elena end opposite the open, Damon and Rose end opposite the open. That means Damon and Rose repeat a lot of their conversation.

This is also a flashback episode for Katerina Petrova. I love that they used her real name for the title. She has her moments, but this episode is when I liked her most. tbh, I hate her 99% of the time. A flashback to 1940 shows her giving birth to Nadia and she's quickly taken away. Her father is saying she disgraced the family. This is a shared thing for Damon and Katerina. Damon for deserting the war and Katerina for having a child out of wedlock.

I really love these doorway scenes. Damon is playing it cool now that his words of love are buried in Elena's head. He's fully committed to protecting her, but you can feel it in the way he talks and the way he moves. It's as if he put himself at a distance emotionally.

"That's not helping." Rose already knows that Damon's in love with Elena. He's being protective of her emotional state. He then assumes Elena is in denial because she lies about going to school. Denial is something Stefan and Elena have in common. He spent 145 years denying he fell in love with Katherine. Here, he tells Damon to shut up.

Jeremy basically asks Bonnie on a date. He wants her to shoot pool with him. They introduce Luka, and tbh, I hate these witches. I'm glad they chose to kill them off. Some characters have it and some don't. These witches don't. "You had to break out the girlfriend code. Okay. I promise." It's insane to me that Caroline won't tell Stefan that Elena is visiting Katherine, but she'll tell him that Elena slept with Damon.

Caroline: Why don't you want Stefan to know? Elena: Because he would never be okay with me doing this.

Scenes like this are the truth of 3x14. If Stefan wouldn't be okay with Elena talking to Katherine despite the fact that she's trapped in a tomb and can't cause any harm, then why tf would he be okay with her meeting with Esther. I never lie about what they show me. I love seeing Caroline at the tomb because she was human and with Matt when they opened it in 1x14, so she was never really there to actually see it. This is your Goodbye Katherine and Goodbye Caroline...

Elena isn't stupid. She knows Katherine needs blood, so she knows she'll get the answers she needs in exchange. "You have the Petrova fire." I believe this is Damon's attraction to the Petrovas. Katherine, Isobel, and Elena.

"I was banished to England and I had to learn to adjust. So I quickly became English. It was there that I caught the eye of a nobleman named Klaus. I was taken with him at first, til I found out what he was and what he wanted from me. And then I ran like hell."

Katherine tells Elena that Klaus wanted to drain every drop of blood from her body, so she ran like hell.

Rose hasn't even known Damon for a day, and she already reads him better than Stefan does. He tries to lie about his humanity, but she can see it. It's because his humanity is his weakness that it's the best way to piss him off… and torture him. They have to hit it the right way based on what they want from him. As I said before, this episode ends opposite the open. Here's an example...

Damon: Don't get on my bad side. Rose: Then show me your good side.

Everything in their initial conversation gets discussed at the end of the episode. Trevor, Elena, and both their humanity. I feel like all relationships happen for a reason, so even though I don't ship Damon with Rose, I still enjoy Damon with Rose. Rose is about to take Damon to meet her friend.

Damon and Elena are the only ones willing to actually get answers. Elena is getting her answers from Katherine. Damon is hoping to get his from Slater. Stefan just wants to obsess over Elena. Caroline stops him because she's not at school.

Stefan: What did you do? Caroline: Told Tyler I'm a vampire.

Stefan's reaction is hilarious. Katerina arrives at the cottage and tells the homeowner that Trevor sent her. That's when Rose allows her in and compels the homeowner to bring her some food and water. When Katerina shows Rose the moonstone, she realizes the trouble she's in. This tells me that Rose already knew about the curse and the role the moonstone played in it. She's like hell no. She plans to hand Katerina back over to Klaus and beg for his mercy. They really hype up Klaus with this story.

lol… scenes like this are the reason I believe Damon loves strong women. Look at the smile on his face. Slater is asking about Trevor like damn, him and Rose were truly family. Damon is the kind of person you wanna act completely ignorant to, as if you have no idea who he is. He doesn't trust people, and the more you know about him, the more he'll see you as a threat.

In flashback, Rose walks into the room and realizes Katerina stabbed herself. She's a vampire, so she knows damn well that she wasn't bleeding before, that she'd just stabbed herself on purpose. "I love her, Rose." Like Damon and Mason, Trevor died loving a woman that didn't love him in return. She was using them. Katerina hangs herself while Trevor and Rose are arguing. A vampire is of no use to Klaus, so she thought becoming a vampire was the easiest way to avoid being sacrificed. She offers Elena her blood, knowing what's gonna happen if she takes it... Elena's loved ones will be slaughtered.

Trevor: What did you do, Katerina? I would have helped you live. Katerina: You would have helped me run.

Katerina chooses death over Trevor, just like Elena with Damon and Liv with Tyler. Each parallel still different in their own way.

Rose tells Katerina that she just signed their death sentence, exactly what Stefan said when Katherine turned Caroline. "Better you die than I." Katerina feels her life is of value, but she does nothing with it but continue to destroy lives. "I was looking out for myself, Elena. I will always look out for myself. If you're smart, you'll do the same." This is why Elena has a better life than Katherine, and why I hate Katherine for trying to take Elena's life in season 5. It made her irredeemable to me. It's not like Katherine couldn't possess the body of some useless vampire. Any vampire body would've sufficed. She just had to take Elena's.

Stefan: Yes Caroline. As a matter of fact, I am a little mad. I mean, you put yourself a risk. If Damon finds out… Caroline: But you're not gonna tell him, are you? Stefan: No, of course not. He would kill you.

Stefan joined Caroline for lunch. He's so much himself around her. It's crazy they're not together, they have great chemistry. And for some strange reason, Stefan tells every blonde they remind him of Lexi. First Caroline, then Rebekah. Damon has no problem with people knowing his truth. He has a problem with people threatening him because he takes threats seriously. This is more or less the same Damon-slamming Stefan always does because he's a shit brother.

Bonnie runs into Luka and his father at the Grill. I'm already ready for them to die. I'm pretty sure Bonnie got a witch vibe from Luka, so she knows he's a witch. It also pisses me off that they continue to do this to Bonnie. Ben abducted her because she was the key to opening the tomb. Now new guy flirts with her, and it's the same damn thing. He's gonna screw her over. Damon is getting annoyed with Slater because he's a bragger with no point. Slater can't honestly believe Damon is there to hear about his level of education. His 18 degrees, 3 masters, and 4 PhDs won't help him find Klaus lol… his vampire information will. Slater knew about the tomb under the church, and likely from the remaining tomb vampires that fled.

"She's with Damon, isn't she?" Stefan just can't stop. Automatically assumes she's with Damon because apparently danger is all Damon can provide. As I said of Caroline's hate for Damon, it's really Delena hate. She only hates Damon whenever Elena is involved, so you get this "Ewww, no" from her. I've already lost count how many times Stefan shit on Damon. And why is he so jealous at the thought of her hanging out with Damon as if they can't be friends. Just as insane to me that Stefan expects Caroline to betray her best friend for him. Like Elena isn't allowed to do something on her own without her boyfriend up her ass. This guy is more than obsessed.

Damon: Stake her, rip her head off, something poetic. We'll see. Katherine: It could have been anyone I suppose, but I like the poetry of Caroline.

Katherine tells Elena the same thing she told Rose in her flashback. "Better you die than I." She will lose in the end because she wasn't the only one being "poetic" in 2x1. Jeremy's death changed everything for Damon.

I LOVE this scene to the extreme. This is when Elijah realizes Damon is dangerous, that he's always working an angle. It's because the moonstone can be de-spelled and because Damon is offering Slater a daylight ring in exchange that Elijah puts a dead-stop to their conversation. Damon is about to destroy his revenge plan before he even gets started. The tempered glass shatters and every vampire without daylight jewelry starts to burn, Slater and Rose included. Damon is trying to get his sights on who tossed the coins because he knows it took supernatural power to pull off such a stunt, but Elijah disappeared. This moment when he carries Rose is beautiful. I love Damon's caring nature.

Rose: He's real and he doesn't give up. If he wants something, he gets it. If you're not afraid of Klaus, then you're an idiot. Damon: Alright, we're shaking. You made your point.

Rose: It's Klaus, don't you understand? You don't know this man. We're dead, we're all dead.

They're starting to finish on the open. Damon is basically realizing he spoke too soon. It's in Rose's fear that he knows Klaus is a dangerous enemy. She's shaking, and he definitely got the point.

I'm already done with these witches. I forgot how long it takes for them to die, but they need to die.

Katherine is sealed in the tomb, so Elena is perfectly safe talking to her. Stefan has no reason to show up, but he does. I think he's less worried about Katherine telling Elena about Klaus and more worried about Katherine telling her about them. "But it didn't take long for me to figure out what was the important that you'd have to keep it from me." Girl can't have a Stefan-free day without him being up in it like she can't survive without him. Stefan was gonna turn to Katherine for help to find Elena in the episode prior, now claims Katherine is a liar all because Elena turned to her for answers without him. Apparently Katherine is only a liar when Elena turns to her for answers, not when Stefan does. This guy really is something. Katherine is about to tell them the best part of the story. Because she didn't wanna die, her family did. Klaus killed alll of them simply because she chose to become a vampire. I should point out the fact that Katerina had no forewarning. She didn't have anyone tell her just how vengeful Klaus could be. Had anyone actually warned her the way she's being kind to warn Elena now, it's possible she would've considered her family and chosen not to run. Stefan is so full of himself in this scene with Katherine and Elena.

"My freedom? That's where you're wrong, Stefan. I don't want my freedom because when Klaus shows up to kill us all, and he will, I'll be in the tomb where no vampire will enter because they can't get out. I'll be the safest psychotic bitch in town."

So Elena is left with the knowing that she has to die or risk losing all of her loved ones.

"And I will." I feel like this is the moment for Damon. He just got done watching vampires burn in the sun because Elijah shattered the tempered glass, now he's drinking alcohol and staring into his fireplace. I don't think it's just his confidence speaking. He's gonna save Elena because he's gonna put his life on it. There's a feeling in this scene that I can't explain. Like a finality. Rose joins him and apologizes. "You're right to fight it, the way you feel about her. Because if you want to survive, you need to not care about anyone." This is why Damon nearly dies from Tyler's bite. He refuses to flip his switch because if he stops caring about Elena, then she dies. All the more reason I feel this was his moment. "And why's that?" Opposite Damon's denial in the open. This is Damon outwardly admitting his feelings for Elena. "I will if you will." Opposite Damon's denial in the open. This is Damon outwardly admitting his emotions are on. I love their soundtrack in this scene as well, Amen Omen by Ben Harper. It's a track that I feel perfect for both Damon and Rose based on their current situation (Trevor and Elena). "Amen omen,will I see your face again?"

Trevor is just as much part of their conversation at the open and close of the episode. He died in the episode prior, so Rose is mourning. Damon is having to bury his love for Elena for the sake of protecting her, so he's basically mourning along with her. The beauty of Damon and Rose as it pertains to Katherine's comment in 2x1. "Come on. Kiss me. Or kill me. Which will it be, Damon? We both know that you're only capable of one." This is grief sex.

Even though Jeremy could get jealous of Lukas being all flirty, but he doesn't. He smiles because Bonnie is smiling. He seems to care a great deal about her happiness.

"That's not why everyone that I love is in danger. It's because of me, everything is because of me." This changes in season 3 as they pull a basic repeat. Klaus is coming to kill her in season 2. She either dies or she doesn't. Elena is supposed to be dead in season 3. She either dies or she doesn't. Stefan denies Elena the right to choose how they deal with Klaus and he becomes the danger.

"It's a lie, you know. There's no switch you can turn off. Sure, when you're a newbie. But after a couple of hundred years, you just have to pretend." This is the truth of their humanity switch. It only lasts for so long.

Elijah knows Damon is close to destroying his revenge plan... yeah, Damon is that dangerous to the Originals. He compels Slater to call Rose specifically about the moonstone because Damon can de-spell it. He has Slater mention that they need a witch to de-spell it, which puts Luka in play for the sake of conning Bonnie. Elijah could've killed Slater, but he has Slater kill himself. This would remove suspicion of murder. Damon won't know the deal with the moonstone until they find out Lukas and his father are tied to Elijah. So yeah, this is how Damon gets screwed in protecting Elena.

Damon: Because I do believe in killing the messenger. You know why? Because it sends a message. Elijah: It had to be done. He delivered his message. Won't be long now.

This moment here is a huge clue drop... Isobel will be coming back into the story.

And this... this is why Katherine pushes Stefan to take Klaus' family in 3x9. She wants her own revenge.

not to take anything away from other teams getting so much better, bc they are & it’s incredible. portugal deserved to be in this game to begin with; parity has genuinely always been the uswnt’s goal. but faced with it, i don’t think there’s a togetherness, a trust there that u need to win. tactically we don’t have players who will be patient & hold the ball; we don’t have players who are Really calm in front of goal. we looked more lively & organized last night but that’s bc we needed two 6s the whole time, & potm to sweden’s keeper, but even then! you gotta put it in the back of the net. you have to. that’s the literal sport lol

so to me it’s an issue of composure. to be composed everything else has to line up — your training, your teammates, your positioning. leadership has been making excuses since 2021 for this lack of composure, & this is what happens. ofc we don’t have the same “mentality” but it’s not bc we don’t want to win or were “distracted” or whatever, it’s bc most of our players didn’t know what the fuck they were doing & everyone was just stressed tf out. no joy! no teamwork! no creativity! no clinical precision! japan, england, spain (even w the japan loss), even nigeria — all of those teams have played w calm, w happiness! they want to be on that field — even despite a shitty coach, or injuries, or etc etc etc. we just didn’t, & it starts & ends w leaders.

this is what happens when u don’t actually have a group of players that feel like a team. we weren’t going to be successful in this wc unless leadership took accountability for the lack of good play & changed things — & they kind of did a little in this last game but not nearly enough, & way too late

Heartstopper season two is getting closer and closer as the days keep passing. (I’m about to go on a tangent).

FIRST OF ALL, I live in Illinois, so the upload of the comic came at around 5:30 in the morning for me, maybe it was 4:00, I don’t really know and I honestly don’t care. I have been freaking tf out, screaming at my job, crying in the corner, laugh/scream/crying HYSTERICALLY for TEN CONSECUTIVE MINUTES in ONE HOUR INCREMENTS. We saw Nick and Charlie hanging out in the Eiffel Tower, we saw the ✨love bite✨, we saw our FAVORITE token lesbians (Tara and Darcy), we saw our beloved ISSAC—CRYING IN THE CORNER (DONT KNOW WHAT THATS ABOUT BUT BEST BELIEVE WE WILL FIND OUT)—WE SAW OUR FAVORITE STRAIGHT COUPLE WHO ARE NOT A COUPLE YET (Tao and Elle), we were in Paris, we were at eachothers houses making out, we were having deep and meaningful conversations (as usual, so slay), we were at Tara’s 16th birthday party so—if you’re like me and have read the books, we know shit is about to GO DOWN—we also know that we are meeting new characters again in season two. But, alas, it is only the official teaser. Which is not quite the official official trailer. Don’t get me wrong, I have been waiting for the season two teaser for MONTHS. I am absolutely ELATED that we finally have SOMETHING, but now I’m freaking out and I’m not gonna stop screaming and crying until we have the trailer AND the entire season drops on Netflix. ✨💁‍♀️

I remember once I mentioned sarah kane to my mother who is a toxic positivity typo person (and ussr defo had a huge impact on her values, but she's in denial). and of course among all I've also mentioned that she's ended her life and my mother straight up went like "she wouldn't have killed herself if she came to Ukraine" like girl what??? wdym?? england is fr more progressive than ukraine therefore people in ukraine are more likely to be depressed because of how conservative many ukrainians are and the government too, tho the situation is slowly improving rn. like I don't mean that brits can't be depressed because fr no matter how good quality of life in a certain country is, people are still living in society therefore are exposed to violence and abuse. you get me. BUT what I didn't get is my mother's logic. like if she came to ukraine she'd be the same depressed.
