2012 Mikey: [_ also raises his voice] I'll do you one better. Why is April?

What master do I serve? What am I supposed to say, Jesus? (Gale & Stu)
"What's your deal, huh?" Stu stared her out, as confused as she was. "I'm not following you, okay? I'm not breaking the promise. If anything, you're following me. What are you even doing here?" He truthfully hadn't expected to find Gale hanging around an abandoned movie theater. His abandoned movie theater. The one where he kept all of his personal assets for his big performance. "I mean it though, you can't be here, alright? Back off. And don't go crying to Sid about it either."

Time for a meme! If you want to take part all you have to do is reblog this post. Remember if you reblog to send them out to those who also do. Meme lasts from today (17/02) to the next Friday (22/02)! As always, please have fun and happy meme day!
MARVEL CINEMATIC UNIVERSE SENTENCE STARTERS: featuring quotes from deadpool, venom, ant-man & the wasp, thor: ragnarok, wandavision, doctor strange, ant-man & more. credit for some of these goes to @scotchymemes
Go back to whatever cave you ever crept out of!
What is grief, if not love persevering?
The world has taken too much from you for you to still be considered innocent.
I love you. I love you in every universe.
Where once you were nothing, now you are something.
Expect disappointment and you will never be disappointed.
We were good together, werenât we? Maybe itâs time to reignite that flame...
I love you 3000.
You still owe me a dance.
Every good family film starts with a great murder.
Kiss me like you missed me.
Youâre a lot smarter than I look. You canât really live until youâve died a little.
You are not judge, jury or executioner.
Youâve let me down for the last time. What did I do to piss off a grumpy old sucker with a Winter Soldier arm?
You shut your trashmouth!
Sorry, I tend to process traumatic events with dad jokes.Â
The only thing that does make sense is that nothing makes sense.
I make grave mistakes all the time. It all seems to work out.
You are my sadness and my hope. But mostly, youâre my love.
Good morning! Are you ready for your hot fresh cup of bodily harm?
Youâre not seriously thinking of going back, are you?
Piss off, ghost! I have to get off this planet.
Itâs an honor to meet you, officially. I sort of met you, I mean, I watched you while you were sleeping.
We never lose our demons. We only learn to live above them.
Iâm expendable. Thatâs why Iâm here.
Some of the best love stories begin with a murder.
You ever feel lost? Just look into the eyes of the people you love.
Do I have to figure out my whole future before lunch, or is there, likeâŚ?â
Heâd rather lose this fight than lose you.
Iâm gonna have to rain check that dance.Â
Donât do anything I would do, and donât do anything I wouldnât do. Thereâs a little gray area in there. Thatâs where you operate.â
Love is a dagger. Itâs a weapon to be wielded far away or up close. You can see yourself in it. Itâs beautiful until it makes you bleed.
Someday Iâm gonna make great machines that fly. And me and my friends are gonna go flying together, into the forever and beautiful sky.
Thereâs not a day that goes by where I donât regret having said yes.
I just want a chance to prove myself. Because thatâs what heroes do!
You know what I like about being upset? The blame.
Youâre just using me to get to (...). Thatâs so gross, youâre not even my friend.
You donât have to fight anyone, but weâre in danger so we have to move.
Your hair looks nice. What did you do to it? Did you change it, maybe wash it?
He is as dishonourable as he is attractive.
Where do you store all this useless information?
Good is not a thing you are. It's a thing you do.
You know you didnât have to humiliate him in front of everyone.
House blowing up builds character.
Iâm just a bad guy who gets paid to fuck up even worse guys.
Motherfucker, youâre the worldâs worst friend.
Less talking, more kissing.
Do you kiss your mother with that mouth?
I know what youâre going to say, but this guy/girl/person is all the way bad.
You are so pathologically self-observed
Love the optimism, but in my experience, when it looks bad, itâs usually worse.
I do not understand the intricacies of social interaction.
What master do I serve? What am I supposed to say, Jesus?
I told you that when I was drunk, why are you bringing this up?
Please tell me nobody just kissed me.
Thereâs a shawarma place two blocks from here. I donât know what it is, but I want to try it.
If he ends up being evil, weâll just kill him.
Trying to get you to stop has been one of the few failures of my entire life.
! Do you ever feel like your life is one monumental screw-up?
You people have no shame! What does the FBI even stand for? Forever Bothering Individuals?
Ninja Turtle, you better stop poking me.
I get emails from a raccoon, so nothing sounds crazy.
I just keep imagining you waking up in the morning, sir, looking in the mirror and then in all seriousness saying to yourself, âYou know what would be a really kickass name? ______!â
I told you, I donât want to join your super-secret boy band.
Look, Iâm going to be totally honest with you:
I forgot youâre here. Well, I was in the neighborhood so I thought Iâd save you the hassle.
So are you twoâŚdo youâŚfondue?
You call me _______ again, Iâll shove my foot up somewhere itâs not supposed to be.
Donât drink fountain water, you idiot.
Thatâs disgusting.
We'll be okay. You can rest now.
I do some dumb things and it ends up hurting the people I love the most.
Maybe you need a partner, someone to watch your back.
You can do it. You can do anything.
Together, weâll figure something out.
Missed me, missed me, now you gotta- You know what, forget I said anything.
Iâm not one to be judgemental, but you, sir, are an extremely disturbed man.
Lie is such an ugly word. I prefer misdirection
I just conned the hell out of you and here you are trying to save me. How can you be so damn nice all the time?

Mortal Kombat Legends: Smoke Screen Chapter 2: Special Forces
The next day, some where on close by, Kano, the stereotypical Australian asshole with a laser eye, leads his Black Dragon clan into a portal to Outworld, to finally rid themselves of the Special Forces.
Kano: All right, this is it, boys. We're getting' in there and kicking some Outworld ass!
Kano, and the Black Dragon, then go through the portal.
Jax Briggs and Sonya Blade, Special Forces Majors, along with a dozen soliders followed them to the portal, but it was to late, it was already closed and they have escaped.
Jax: Shit, they got away.
Sonya: When they come back, we'll be ready, Jax...
Sub and Smoke have been spying on this situation, after being sent to investigate the commotion.
Sub Zero: What do you recon?
Smoke: We should alert the Grand master, tell him we need a way to travel between realms, to stop this, "Black Dragon". They have caused far too much chaos in this realm. And perhaps join these two, after all, strength is in numbers-
Sub Zero: Are you insane?! They could both try kill us at any moment.
Smoke: You *Really* have trust issues, huh?
Sub Zero, rolling his eyes: Fine, but if they do turn on us, I will go for the kill.
The two ninjas drop down, alerting the the Special Forces majors.
Jax, taking a stance: FREEZE!
Sonya: Did Kano leave you here to kill us?
Smoke:(geasturing toward Sub Zero) He could freeze you at any moment, and no, we are here to stop these Black Dragoâ
Jax: Nice try, Gray scale, you will be comin' with us, by any means nessecary.
Sub Zero: I'll handle these two, you whatch my back.
Smoke nods his head, and the fight commences. Jax charges at Sub Zero with full force, which he dodges, but is shot in his side by Sonya. Smoke is teleporting all around to knock out as many soliders as possible, while also defending Kuai. Eventually, Smoke knocks out the soliders and rushes at Sonya, pushing her out of Kuai's reach. Kuai makes an ice wall which he pushes Jax into, stunning him for a second, while Smoke is fairing well with Sonya. She shoots at him with her repulsor gautlets which he dodges by turning into mist and teleporting behind her, kicking her out of the way, Sub Zero stuck Jax to the ground and is preparing to finish Jax with an ice axe.
Smoke: Kuai, no!
Sonya ran up to Smoke, putting him into a choke hold.
Sonya: Alright, i'll ask you this one time... where is Kano?
Sub Zero: I'll do you one better, WHO is Kano?
Jax: I'll do you one better, WHY is Kano!?
Smoke seemed confused to say the least.
Sonya: You better tell me where that Ausie is, or i'm french-frying this freak.
She said, aiming her gautlet at Smoke's head
Sub Zero: Alright, you shoot my guy, i'll blast him, LETS GO!
He said creating an axe of ice   Â
Jax: Do it, Sonya! I can take it...
Smoke: No, he can't take it.
Sub Zero: He's right, you can't.
Sonya: You don't wanna tell me, thats fiiiine, i'll kill both of you, find and beat it out of Hsu Hao myself, starting with you-
Sub Zero recalled hearing that name before
Sub Zero: Wait, did you say Hsu H-- Ok, let me ask you this one time... What master, do you serve?
Sonya: âWhat master do i serveâ? What am i suppose to say, JESUS?
Sub Zero melted the ice off of Jax, but still kept him on the floor
Sub Zero: You're not with them.
Sonya: No shit, Sherlock. And who are you two?
Smoke phased through Sonya's hands.
Smoke: We are Lin Kuei, madam. And we do not wish you any harm.
Sonya: Didn't really prove that to our soliders.
Sub Zero: They're not dead, just knocked out cold.
Jax: Thats believable, commin' from you, Chill Bill.
Sub Zero, lending his hand to help Jax up: Give up the sense of humor, and i might not need to freeze you completely.
Jax, pushing Sub Zero's hand away: I hope not. Name's Jax Briggs, Special Forces major, and thats commander Sonya Blade.
Smoke: Tomas Vrbada, but you may call me Smoke, and this is my closest friend, Kuai Liang. He bares the mantile of Sub Zero. I believe there is a way to find this, Kano with ease, Commander, if you trust us, that is.
Jax, who stood up and whispered to Sonya: Maybe they're right, we could use the help.
Sonya: (releases a sigh) Alright, but we need to take you with us to our HQ for questioning.
Sonya calls a chopper to take everyone with them, along with Smoke and Kuai, it takes about thirty minutes for it to get there but they waited out and they took off to the Special Forces Head Quarters.

Hello i would like yout opinion, i am catholic and i believe in God, but i feel attracted to tarot, i have not gotten to practice it, but i have gotten to participate in free games and readings sometimes.
I would like to get to practice it because it caught my attention also i know the tarot is based on energy and can be misleading at times.
You cannot serve two masters my brother or sister. You have to either choose God or choose the evil one, Satan. You cannot have both especially as Catholic! Do you know that our Catechism mentions tarot is bad?
III. "YOU SHALL HAVE NO OTHER GODS BEFORE ME" âŚ.
2113 Idolatry not only refers to false pagan worship. It remains a constant temptation to faith. Idolatry consists in divinizing what is not God. Man commits idolatry whenever he honors and reveres a creature in place of God, whether this be gods or demons (for example, satanism), power, pleasure, race, ancestors, the state, money, etc. Jesus says, "You cannot serve God and mammon." Many martyrs died for not adoring "the Beast" refusing even to simulate such worship. Idolatry rejects the unique Lordship of God; it is therefore incompatible with communion with God.
2114 Human life finds its unity in the adoration of the one God. The commandment to worship the Lord alone integrates man and saves him from an endless disintegration. Idolatry is a perversion of man's innate religious sense. An idolater is someone who "transfers his indestructible notion of God to anything other than God."
Divination and Magic
2115 God can reveal the future to his prophets or to other saints. Still, a sound Christian attitude consists in putting oneself confidently into the hands of Providence for whatever concerns the future, and giving up all unhealthy curiosity about it. Improvidence, however, can constitute a lack of responsibility.
2116 All forms of divination are to be rejected: recourse to Satan or demons, conjuring up the dead or other practices falsely supposed to "unveil" the future. Consulting horoscopes, astrology, palm reading, interpretation of omens and lots, the phenomena of clairvoyance, and recourse to mediums all conceal a desire for power over time, history, and, in the last analysis, other human beings, as well as a wish to conciliate hidden powers. They contradict the honor, respect, and loving fear that we owe to God alone.
2117 All practices of magic or sorcery, by which one attempts to tame occult powers, so as to place them at one's service and have a supernatural power over others - even if this were for the sake of restoring their health - are gravely contrary to the virtue of religion. These practices are even more to be condemned when accompanied by the intention of harming someone, or when they have recourse to the intervention of demons. Wearing charms is also reprehensible. Spiritism often implies divination or magical practices; the Church for her part warns the faithful against it. Recourse to so-called traditional cures does not justify either the invocation of evil powers or the exploitation of another's credulity.
âŚ.
Turn from away from the occult and its temptations.
That energy you feel attracted to isnât from God it is from Satan himself. My brother or sister, you must not let Satan temp you into the occult. You might think you can handle. You might think you can control it. These are lies that Satan tells you. He is not misleading you âjust sometimesâ, Satan has you like a fish who does not realize he has a hook in his own mouth! Our exorcists even tell us tarotâs energy is of Satan. Delete those apps on your phone and devices! Stop associating and visiting those people and places! Block any occult blog and tag on here not just tumblr but all this social media and web searches! Throw away all of your occult objects! I wouldnât not even be the least bit surprised if you are even suffering nightmares from this! Pray the Examination of Conscience and get to Confession as soon as you can. You must come back to God.
Blessed Bartolo Longo, pray for us.

15th July >> Mass Readings (USA)
Saturday, Fourteenth Week in Ordinary Time
and
Saint Bonaventure, Bishop, Doctor.
Saturday, Fourteenth Week in Ordinary Time
(Liturgical Colour: White: A (1))
(Readings for the feria (Saturday))
(There is a choice today between the readings for the ferial day (Saturday) and those for the memorial. The ferial readings are recommended unless pastoral reasons suggest otherwise)
First Reading Genesis 49:29-32; 50:15-26a God will surely take care of you and lead you out of this land.
Jacob gave his sons this charge: âSince I am about to be taken to my people, bury me with my fathers in the cave that lies in the field of Ephron the Hittite, the cave in the field of Machpelah, facing on Mamre, in the land of Canaan, the field that Abraham bought from Ephron the Hittite for a burial ground. There Abraham and his wife Sarah are buried, and so are Isaac and his wife Rebekah, and there, too, I buried Leahâ the field and the cave in it that had been purchased from the Hittites.â
Now that their father was dead, Josephâs brothers became fearful and thought, âSuppose Joseph has been nursing a grudge against us and now plans to pay us back in full for all the wrong we did him!â So they approached Joseph and said: âBefore your father died, he gave us these instructions: âYou shall say to Joseph, Jacob begs you to forgive the criminal wrongdoing of your brothers, who treated you so cruelly.â Please, therefore, forgive the crime that we, the servants of your fatherâs God, committed.â When they spoke these words to him, Joseph broke into tears. Then his brothers proceeded to fling themselves down before him and said, âLet us be your slaves!â But Joseph replied to them: âHave no fear. Can I take the place of God? Even though you meant harm to me, God meant it for good, to achieve his present end, the survival of many people. Therefore have no fear. I will provide for you and for your children.â By thus speaking kindly to them, he reassured them.
Joseph remained in Egypt, together with his fatherâs family. He lived a hundred and ten years. He saw Ephraimâs children to the third generation, and the children of Manassehâs son Machir were also born on Josephâs knees.
Joseph said to his brothers: âI am about to die. God will surely take care of you and lead you out of this land to the land that he promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.â Then, putting the sons of Israel under oath, he continued, âWhen God thus takes care of you, you must bring my bones up with you from this place.â Joseph died at the age of a hundred and ten.
The Word of the Lord
R/ Thanks be to God.
Responsorial Psalm Psalm 105:1-2, 3-4, 6-7
R/ Be glad you lowly ones; may your hearts be glad!
Give thanks to the LORD, invoke his name; make known among the nations his deeds. Sing to him, sing his praise, proclaim all his wondrous deeds.
R/ Be glad you lowly ones; may your hearts be glad!
Glory in his holy name; rejoice, O hearts that seek the LORD! Look to the LORD in his strength; seek to serve him constantly.
R/ Be glad you lowly ones; may your hearts be glad!
You descendants of Abraham, his servants, sons of Jacob, his chosen ones! He, the LORD, is our God; throughout the earth his judgments prevail.
R/ Be glad you lowly ones; may your hearts be glad!
Gospel Acclamation 1 Peter 4:14
Alleluia, alleluia. If you are insulted for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of God rests upon you. Alleluia, alleluia.
Gospel Matthew 10:24-33 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body.
Jesus said to his Apostles: âNo disciple is above his teacher, no slave above his master. It is enough for the disciple that he become like his teacher, for the slave that he become like his master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebul, how much more those of his household! âTherefore do not be afraid of them. Nothing is concealed that will not be revealed, nor secret that will not be known. What I say to you in the darkness, speak in the light; what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops. And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather, be afraid of the one who can destroy both soul and body in Gehenna. Are not two sparrows sold for a small coin? Yet not one of them falls to the ground without your Fatherâs knowledge. Even all the hairs of your head are counted. So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. Everyone who acknowledges me before others I will acknowledge before my heavenly Father. But whoever denies me before others, I will deny before my heavenly Father.â
The Gospel of the Lord
R/ Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.

First Reading Ephesians 3:14-19 To know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge.
Brothers and sisters: I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that he may grant you in accord with the riches of his glory to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner self, and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the holy ones what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
The Word of the Lord
R/ Thanks be to God.
Responsorial Psalm Psalm 119:9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14
R/ Lord, teach me your statutes.
How shall a young man be faultless in his way? By keeping to your words.
R/ Lord, teach me your statutes.
With all my heart I seek you; let me not stray from your commands.
R/ Lord, teach me your statutes.
Within my heart I treasure your promise, that I may not sin against you.
R/ Lord, teach me your statutes.
Blessed are you, O LORD; teach me your statutes.
R/ Lord, teach me your statutes.
With my lips I declare all the ordinances of your mouth.
R/ Lord, teach me your statutes.
In the way of your decrees I rejoice, as much as in all riches.
R/ Lord, teach me your statutes.
Gospel Acclamation Matthew 23:9b, 10b
Alleluia, alleluia. You have but one Father in heaven; you have one master, the Christ. Alleluia, alleluia.
Gospel Matthew 23:8-12 The greatest among you must be your servant.
Jesus spoke to the crowds and to his disciples: âDo not be called âRabbi.â You have but one teacher, and you are all brothers. Call no one on earth your father; you have but one Father in heaven. Do not be called âMasterâ; you have but one master, the Christ. The greatest among you must be your servant. Whoever exalts himself will be humbled; but whoever humbles himself will be exalted.â

4/14/2023 DAB Transcript
Joshua 9:3-10:43, Luke 16:19-17:10, Psalm 83:1-18, Proverbs 13:4
Today is the 14th day of April, welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I am Brian, it is fantastic to be here with you today as we gather together around the Global Campfire and step forward together into a brand-new day and into the next territory that the Bible is leading us into. Which will lead us back into the Book of Joshua. Israel's second city of, of conquest the city of Ai, they were able to take that city and we went through the entire story of Aiken yesterday and discussed that. And so, where we find ourselves, as we move back into Joshua today, is that word is getting out, the kings of the regions, the nations that are surrounding where the children of Israel are, are getting pretty nervous. And although they may have at one time been enemies with each other, they are becoming allies to join together to attack and eradicate this people that is coming into the land. So, let's take the next step forward and find out what happens next. Joshua chapter 9 verse 3 through 10 verse 43 today.
Commentary:
Okay, let's look at something that Jesus was teaching today because it invites us, it invites us to deeply check our motivations and our posture. And I don't mean posture like your, your standing or sitting down posture. I mean, the way youâre standing up or sitting down or slouching around or laying down spiritually. So, Jesus says, if another believer since rebuke that person and if there is repentance forgive, even if that person wronged you seven times a day and each time turns again and asks forgiveness, you must forgive. So, if a person is going to repeatedly offend you seven times a day, then it will require a posture or a lifestyle of forgiveness. And the apostles responded to Jesus after he said this, show us how to increase our faith. Cause in listening to what Jesus is saying and going okay, weâre gonna need more faith, show us how to increase our faith so that we can do this. And Jesus says, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree may you be uprooted and planted in the sea, and it would obey you. So, what is Jesus telling the disciples, unless you are faithless, like, unless you have no faith, then you have what you need to obey me. And Jesus then responds when a servant comes in from plowing or taking care of sheep does his master say, come in and eat with me. No, he says prepare my meal, put on your apron and serve me while I eat, then you can eat later. And does the master thank the servant for doing what he was told to do? Of course not. In the same way, when you obey me you should say we are unworthy servants who have simply done our duty. That is a very different posture than our culture operates in and that we normally operate in. That is a posture of utter humility that we don't often display, even in Revelation to God. This is the posture, as Jesus is describing it, of a servant who has a master, and the master does not owe the servant anything. The servant's posture is to be grateful that they have shelter and sustenance and work. The master doesn't owe the servant, the servant owes the master service. In this analogy from Jesus, by the way, we are the servants, we aren't the Masters. And so, if the instruction from the master is to stay in a posture of forgiveness, even if you're offended by the same person seven times in the day, if they come and repent and ask forgiveness, you are to forgive. This is the way of God's kingdom, as we've talked about before already this year. But then if we obey the command, we think that weâve put ourselves in some kind of humble position and we deserve a reward, when what Jesus is saying is this is your lifestyle, this isnât some special thing you do to be humble. Itâs not some kind of special thing that you should be rewarded for, this is supposed to be your normal, this is the normal state, one that takes care of each other and looks out for the other and dispenses forgiveness, as we are forgiven. This reveals God. If the work of God isnât forgiveness, what is the work of God? Why did God come to earth in the person of Jesus and and die that we might be forgiven. But where the posture kind of has to shift and the understanding has to shift, is that, when we do something that humbles us, we haven't done anything that's not supposed to be normal. Putting it back in the words of Jesus, we are unworthy servants who have simply done our duty. That's a bit of a big shift, one that we need to consider in our own lives, in our relationships to others, and in our relationship to God. That we are fortunate to be servants, and to be serving God. It's simply our duty to obey our master. This is the normal Christian life, and this flies in the face of our pride and our arrogance and our entitlement. And so, let's give it some thought today, let's remember weâre simply doing our duty, weâre simply doing what were supposed to do, what's supposed to be normal for us.
Prayer:
And so, Father, we invite You into that. Certainly, this applies to more than forgiveness. Although, forgiveness is the context here in Luke. But more and more, as we get to understand what You are teaching and applying that to our lives and letting it be a mirror, so the way we have to look at ourselves and see where we are, versus what You are instructing. We more and more realize our utter helplessness to in any way achieve righteousness before You, without You, and without Your help. And so, Holy Spirit come. We can't do this on our own. We really aren't good enough, we really aren't as good as we had thought, we really truly need You. But in understanding this, itâs like coming home. It's like realizing that what has been missing has always been there. We just needed to surrender for real and not in word only, but an actual posture of heart. So, we thank You for coming for us, and rescuing us, and forgiving us and giving us right standing with You and allowing us to come into Your presence and allowing us to be a part of Your family, allowing us to be grafted in as Your children. And we say we are unworthy servants who are simply doing our duty. We take this posture of humility and put it on our head, like the crown that it is, that we may forgive and be forgiven and reveal the good news that all are welcome. Come, Holy Spirit, into this we pray. In the name of Jesus, we ask. Amen.

Prayer and Encouragements:
Hi, Daily Audio Bible Family. It has been a really long time since I called in. My prayer request is, I live in Maryland. My sister lives in Pennsylvania and my sister is really having a hard time. Sheâs limited with her income, and she has difficulty getting around. Sheâs mobile, you know, but just age and it makes it painful for her to do things. And I have been weighing out options on how to help her, how to support her. And Iâm thinking that I need a house, I need a house with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms so that I can have a place for her to come and be with me, so I can watch over her and care for her. Iâve just been struggling with taking the steps to make that happen. So, I mean financially I can do it, itâs just taking the step and finding the house and the financing and all that. So, I ask please for guidance, clarity and the steps that I need to take to bring my sister home with me. Our parents are deceased, neither of us has children so itâs just us. And I really need to figure out what to do and how to help her. Please pray for me. Thank you. God bless.
Good morning, DABers, this is Carrie aka Jesus Girl. Itâs Saturday April 8th and I just want to lift up 2 of the DABers that I just heard call in. Jesus, I come to you on behalf of KB and his friend Chico. Lord, this traumatic accident that has caused so much physical damage for his friend. Jesus, I just ask that, as we know Youâre capable of doing a miracle, Lord, and this is the weekend of the ultimate miracle. And so, Lord, Iâm just asking that You heal, that You touch this body, Lord. That You give strength and courage to the family and to the loved ones and to KB, who said he didnât need prayer. But he does need strength, Jesus, he does need comfort and courage. Jesus, I donât know at this point if this young man is still alive or not, regardless, either please touch his body or both ways, be healing or be he gone, Lord. Again, be with his friends and family and loved ones. Lift them up with courage, strength, peace, Jesus, and reliance on You. Wrap Your arms around them at this point. And Lord, I also bring Kathyâs friend Kim to You, Lord. My heart just broke, thinking about what this poor womanâs going through right now, having lost her husband a year ago and now her son. Jesus, please. I thank You that sheâs a believer. I thank You that she knows You and that sheâs leaning on You. But Lord, help us as fellow believers to lift her up to You, Jesus. To again, her also, wrap Your arms around her, Lord. Let her know Your there. Give her peace and comfort and strength as I prayed for this other family. Jesus, as who You are in our situations. And I just thank You and I praise You, Lord. I know that through this, You will be uplifted and You will be glorified. And Lord, if there are those that are lost, dealing with this, use these horrible situations to bring them to You. Thank You and praise You in Your holy name. Amen. God bless yaâll. Happy Easter.
Hi, Daily Audio Bible Family. This is Work in Progress. About a month ago, I called in a prayer request for my daughter, who we didnât know where she was, and we were kind of fearing that she was being trafficked and. Well, I just wanted to give you an update and continue and ask that you continue to pray for her. We, she is, she was found on the streets unconscious. She had methamphetamine and fentanyl in her. She was weighing 88 pounds now, by what I understand. Is currently in the ICU. She was extremely dehydrated and will probably be in the hospital for, well, at least 3 or 4 weeks. Which Iâm grateful for that sheâs, that sheâs off of the streets and all that. But what, if you would just, please continue to pray for her and especially that she gets the, she gets into a treatment facility that is Christ centered and something that really deals with more than just her addictions but also just her hurt heart and her mental illness. We would love for her to get into a adult and teen challenge ministry somewhere. So, if you would just lift that up to the Lord in prayer, I would appreciate it. Thank you, family. Thank you for just the comfort in knowing that youâll be hitting your knees and praying. So, thank you.
Just like Satan I was stubborn, and I had to be the best. Hard driving, impatient and cut above the rest. And sensitive, self-reliant and chronically independent I even tried to compete with God, was a crazy or just demented. Demented, now thatâs the perfect word. It has that demonic sound and demons did control my life, they rammed me into the ground. It had to be poor self-esteem that made me so independent. And dependence made me critical, egotistical and cynic. Being critical and egotistical has led to isolation. Isolation led me into sin and lots of aggravation. Once youâre deep in the sin, youâre far away from God. And once again, poor self-esteem starts to make you feel odd. This cycle just repeats itself; you know you canât win. Unless some kind of way you can get to God and make the cycle end. Â But how does one get back to God? There are a lot of different theories. I guess thatâs why so many people give up, the spirit often wearies. Especially if your spirit isnât one thatâs from the Lord. Satan tries to make it seem hard to get back restored. But really, itâs quite simple. Accept and just agree. Deliverance is a gift, my friend, thatâs absolutely free. You can learn to be dependent. God will help you too. Stay humble and compassionate, cause love will bring you through. And as your walk in faith gets stronger, you once again become Gods son The cycle will be broken and the battle can be won. But thereâs gonna be other battles. But other victories too. As long as you stay close to God but the choice is up to you. [email protected] Iâd like to give a shout out to Sherlock Washington and Kim, on the case, Sherlock Washington. Havenât heard from you lately, but know youâre daily in my prayers, often in my thoughts.
Happy Easter DABers. This is Grace Filled in Castro here. Iâm just calling for prayer for the family of Big James who went on a beautiful trip with my husband and 13 other guys. A boy's trip to the Peak District, here in the UK. And unfortunately, didnât return home after having a fall down a hill and just passed away, instantly. Pray for his family, his wife who would have had to receive the news at whatever point yesterday. And pray for all of the guys. My husband included who witnessed this unfortunate accident and weâre very distressed. They were supposed to come back at some point this afternoon, early evening. And they all made the journey in the early hours of the morning back home. Because they just wanted to be with their families. I pray that this unfortunate accident will draw them nearer to God. That they will realize that their life is a gift, and we arenât promised tomorrow. So, we should honor God every single moment of our lives when weâre awake. From the moment that we wake up and every breath and every step that we take. Thank you to all of you who are always calling in, prayer warriors. You know, even though I havenât been calling in regularly, Iâm still praying for everyone behind the scenes. God bless you. Have a wonderful Easter. Love you all.

Memorial of Saint Josaphat, Bishop and Martyr
Reflection: Serve! Serve! Serve!
Todayâs Gospel talks about service and responsibility. A servant who did his duties should be thankful that he was able to render the service expected of him. His master did not owe him anything. He was paid or hired to do what he did. Jesus even went as far as saying that the servant could admit uselessness in doing so. In this case, service means going beyond oneâs duties. Christian service is not a job. It is a ministry.
This is very relevant when applied to most of our elected officials. Times have changed. Time was when public servants were so humble that they tell their constituents, âI am your servant. I am at your service.â Projects for the benefit of the people are part of their responsibilities as elected officials. When they have done their duties, we do not owe them. How can we owe them something when they just did what they are supposed to do? In many instances, they fail to fulfill all their responsibilities. This may also be applied in other institutions like churches, private offices, communities, and families.
We owe someone something when we are served beyond our privileges and rights. We owe something to servants if they give us free housing, food, or recreation. Or when they wake us up in the morning or bring us to our destinations. Anything they personally do beyond their listed duties, we owe them.
But Jesus in todayâs Gospel is more concerned about our service to God. With and before God, we will always be useless servants. God has given us everything. Our whole life is destined to be lived in gratitude to Him. Thus, we are reminded to be always humble. We regard everything we doâwhether prayer, fasting, or acts of charityâas our thanksgiving for Godâs goodness. Never mind if we tell ourselves that we are useless. What is important is we do our best. That should make us worthy of Godâs favor.
~Fr. Benny Tuazon
Do you always expect to receive something after doing an act of goodness? Why?
I am Your useless servant, Lord. Use me. Amen.
Prayer
âŚÂ for a deep and profound respect for life, especially for the unborn.
âŚÂ for the strength and healing of the sick.
âŚÂ for the healing and peace of all families.
Finally, we pray for one another, for those who have asked our prayers and for those who need our prayers the most.
GOD BLESS!

A prayer
âPray that God would open doors and windows and minds and eyes and hearts for the word so we can go on telling the mystery of the Anointedâ
Todayâs reading of the Scriptures from the New Testament is the 4th and closing chapter of the letter of Colossians:
And to you masters: treat your slaves fairly and do what is right, knowing that you, too, have a Master in heaven.
Pray, and keep praying. Be alert and thankful when you pray. And while you are at it, add us to your prayers. Pray that God would open doors and windows and minds and eyes and hearts for the word so we can go on telling the mystery of the Anointed, for this is exactly why I am currently imprisoned. Pray that I will proclaim this message clearly and fearlessly as I should.
Be wise when you engage with those outside the faith community; make the most of every moment and every encounter. When you speak the word, speak it gracefully (as if seasoned with salt), so you will know how to respond to everyone rightly.
I am sending this letter by Tychicus and Onesimus, both dear brothers. Tychicus has been a faithful minister and fellow servant in the Lord. He will update you on me and my situation here, and he will no doubt be an encouragement to you. Onesimus is one of you; and he, too, has been faithful. You will get the whole story from them.
My cellmate Aristarchus sends his love, as does Mark, Barnabasâs cousin. (Youâve been sent instructions about him, so if he comes to you, welcome him.) Jesus, also called Justus, also sends greetings. These are the only workers in Godâs kingdom here who are of the circumcision, and they are a great comfort to me.
Epaphras, another one of your hometown fellows and a servant of Jesus the Anointed sends his regards and wants you to know how passionately and sincerely he speaks to the Lord about you. He prays for your spiritual journey, that you will continue to mature and stand tall in the kind of confidence that comes from knowing Godâs will. I can testify to his zeal for you and those in Laodicea and Hierapolis.
Luke, the beloved doctor, says hello; and so does Demas. Send my well wishes to the brothers and sisters of Laodicea, especially Nympha and the church that meets in her house. After this letter has been read among you, see that it is also read to the church of Laodicea, and make sure you publicly share the letter I am sending to them. Tell Archippus, âTake care that you complete the service you received in the Lord.â
I, Paul, am signing this letter in my own hand. Remember that I am chained. Grace be with you all.
The Letter of Colossians, Chapter 4 (The Voice)
A note from The Voice translation:
Family life has changed since Paulâs day. Today, sociologists talk about modern families as ânuclearâ: two parents with one or two children. In Colossae, as elsewhere in Paulâs world, families were extended by nature: they consisted of a husband, a wife, lots of children, servants, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and others. So when Paul addresses the family, he does not envision the modern version of it. He addresses the main family members: wives, husbands, children, fathers, and then slaves. The family reflects the order God desires in the church. Each member is to be responsible to the whole, and love and respect are to serve as the guiding principles within family relationships. Paul and Peter both use the term âsubmissionâ within family and church relationships as a description of order and support.
Todayâs paired reading from the First Testament is the 9th chapter of the book of Numbers:
On the first new moon of the second year after the people had left Egypt, there in the Sinai Wilderness, the Eternal One spoke to Moses again.
Eternal One: The Israelites should observe Passover at the time itâs supposed to happen: offering the sacrifice at evening twilight on the 14th day of this month, exactly according to the regulations weâve already discussed.
So Moses told the Israelites that they should go ahead with the Passover, offering the sacrifice at its designated evening twilight on the 14th day of this monthâin the wild desert of Sinai. They did exactly as the Eternal told Moses they should. Complicating things, however, was the fact that some men had needed to handle a dead body and so were impure and couldnât offer the sacrifice right then. They came to Aaron and Moses right away.
Men: Why should we be disallowed from offering the Eternalâs sacrifice along with the rest of the Israelites at the appropriate time, just because the disposing of a dead body made us ritually impure?
Moses: Just hold on a little while. Let me find out what the Eternal has to say about it.
The Eternal One told Moses,
Eternal One: Tell the Israelites, if any one of you or your descendants becomes ritually impure due to the necessity of handling a dead body, he can nevertheless still celebrate My Passover a month after everyone else does. Likewise, those who are on the road, a long way from My tent, can celebrate Passover to the Eternal then too. It should be observed at evening twilight on the fourteenth day of the second month, eating the lamb they sacrificed with unleavened bread and bitter greens. Make certain that not one of its bones is broken and the entire animal is consumed by morning, in keeping with standard procedure for this Passover festival. Everyone who is present and ritually pure must observe this foundational moment. If a person fails to observe the Passover, it is a serious offense. Such a person will be ostracized from the community, guilty of not offering to the Eternal at the right time. If a visiting foreigner would like to observe the Eternalâs Passover with you, he is welcome. Just make certain that he does so completely, exactly as you Israelites are supposed to do. Everyone must observe it the same way, whether foreigner or native to the land.
When the congregation tent was finally erected and assembled, the cloud of the presence of God covered it and the place where the terms of the covenant were kept. In the dark of night, the presence of God looked like a fire and marked the spot until morning. And so it continuedâcloud cover by day, and something like fiery storm clouds at night. Whenever the cloud lifted up, the Israelites would pack up and move, and wherever the cloud stopped, they would settle. This is how the Eternal One indicated when the Israelites should travel and where they should set up camp. As long as the cloud stayed still over the congregation tent, the Israelites also stayed at their tents. When the cloud remained many days over the tent, the Israelites stayed there and served the Eternal. When the cloud remained only a few days, they did the same. They always followed the command of the Eternal, whether staying or leaving. Sometimes it happened that the cloud remained in place only through the night. So, in the morning, they would get going again. Day or night, in this manner they went as God directed. Whether it was a couple of days or just a month or even longer, however long the cloud covered the tent, the Israelites stayed put; but when it lifted, off they went again. So it was that the Israelites obeyed Godâs command. When the Eternal One indicated that they stop, they stopped; when He directed them to move, they moved. They served Him exactly as God commanded them through Moses.
The Book of Numbers, Chapter 9 (The Voice)
A note from The Voice translation:
The Lord provides a backup plan for those who canât celebrate Passover properly, but it isnât to replace normal practices.

A post by John Parsons:
I have written about the dangers of being "double-minded" or "two-souled" over the years. This is the ambivalent condition of heart wherein the soul desires two (or more) contrary things at once and therefore is in a state of contradiction and fragmentation. "A double-minded person (δὡĎĎ
ĎÎżĎ) is unstable in all his ways" (James 1:8). This is because he is pulled in conflicting directions, unsure of where he wants to go. And since he is unclear and undecided about what he truly desires, he invariably gets lost within a "repetition" of feckless affections, never able to seek for the highest...
If âpurity of heart is to will one thing,â then impurity of heart is the result of simultaneously willing two things. It is therefore a state of inner opposition, of having two separate "minds" or "wills" that hold contrary thoughts or desires. Yeshua said that "a divided house cannot stand." A divided heart is at war within itself, "two-souled" and unstable in all its ways...
Paradoxically, there is another danger we may face even if we have inwardly resolved to love the love the LORD our God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and that danger is impatience that may be expressed as discontent of heart. We may feel bereft of our heart's deepest longing. We may go through our days, with worldly concerns and the needs of immediacy, lost in holy distraction. We may experience homesickness, ennui, and sorrow as we return to the dust.
Perhaps you can relate to these words of Hadewijch of Antwerp: "I wander alone and must remain far from him to whom I belong above all that I am, and for whom I would so gladly be perfect love. And - God knows - he has fruition of all, and I lack everything through which my soul might repose in him." As the Song of Songs says: "All night long on my bed I look for the one my heart loves." Does not my beloved cry out to my heart: "O my dove, in the clefts of the rock, In the secret places of the cliff, Let me see your face, Let me hear your voice; For your voice is sweet, And your face is lovely."
I stand looking out through my little window, upon the vastness; my eyes fail as I scan the heavenly abyss; inwardly sighing, groaning, crying for his presence...I rehearse my need; I am swallowed up in my emptiness; all I am is hunger, thirst, and longing, hoping for I know not what -- but his touch.
I recall his comforts, like a dream, the smile in his eyes set upon me, my heart aflame. I have felt his touch, in ecstatic moments; I have warmed in his light; I have heard his voice whisper to me in the dancing wind. But then I return - falling back to earth, to the darkness of the shadows; I am caught in the thicket of the fleeting; my heart prisoned by its fears...
It is a painful contradiction between the person I am when I am close to God's heart, leaning upon his breast, and the faint shade of myself wandering the waste places of the desert. Abraham closed his eyes to this world to see the eternal, but when he opened them he saw once again the emptiness of exile that stretched out before him. Everything was changed through his vision, but everything then became strange, and his dream and his love were whisked into the unseen once again.
That is the âaching sideâ of hope - the waiting - the gap, the delay, the "already-not-yet" expectation, and the separation forged between this lonely world and our eternal home... Ironically enough, hope itself sees the "divided house" that cannot stand, and finds its refuge in the everlasting habitation of God's house. Hope endures in the midst of our dissolution and fading away; even when all we have left is hope to our very last breath.
Alas, our love for God - at least in this life - remains incomplete and unfulfilled. God's love draws our hearts to him in longing, yet we await the realization of salvation, or as Paul puts it. "we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body" (Rom. 8:23). God "wounds us" to seek Him with greater intimacy and fervor. Such a divine disappointment is a hidden blessing, though, since God's love leads to a greater desire to love God, and this desire leads to further desire, and so on. As it says in the Song of Songs: "I opened for my beloved, But my beloved had turned away and was gone. My heart leaped up when he spoke. I sought him, but I could not find him; I called him, but he gave me no answer." Yet the Beloved did not give up...
"In hope we are saved" (Ďáż Îłá˝°Ď áźÎťďż˝ďż˝á˝ˇÎ´Îš áźĎώθΡΟξν), but hope that is seen is not hope, for why would someone hope for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, then we must eagerly wait for it with endurance" (Rom. 8:24-25). As Jeremiah encouraged himself: "The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and silently wait for the salvation of the LORD" (Lam. 3:24-26). Or as David said: "I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning" (Psalm 130:5-6). Though we must await the fulfillment of our hope, we pray to the LORD: "Place me like a seal over your heart, like a seal on your arm; for love is as strong as death, its jealousy unyielding as the grave. It burns like blazing fire, like a mighty flame" (Song 8:6). "Our soul waits for the LORD: he is our help and our shield. For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name" (Psalm 33:20-21).
Therefore do not give up! Never give up! Press on in hope. In our struggle against the darkness, there is an end coming, so donât let your heart grow numb. Encourage yourself with words of hope. Choose to fight (áźÎłĎνὡΜοΟιΚ - "agonize," "struggle") another day. Do not yield to despair or give place to anxiety. Press on and keep fighting the "good fight" of faith (1 Tim. 6:12). Trust that the deepest longing of your heart will one day be manifest; there is a "future and a hope" reserved for you (Jer. 29:11). In the end you shall see. âAll shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.â Amen.

@charleyscrows homophobic passages are definitely taken out of context, culture, and actual translation.
My denomination has supported gay people since the 1960s.
Sodom and Gomorrah were about hospitality, not abusing guests, and is undisputably about sexual assault not loving relationships.
You know a Bible Story about gay people? The Healing of the Centurionâs Slave (Matt 8:5â13 // Luke 7:1â10)
So - some history. Ancient Rome was pretty misogynistic and manliness was important so Roman Citizens were not supposed to be womanly. Sex with men was fine, as long as you were manly about it (i.e. not doing anything a woman would do in sex, like...you know - fun Latin fact, the word for sheath or scabbard like where you put a sword is vagina)
So Roman Citizens were allowed to be with men, but not other Citizens, they had to date men of a status similar to women (male slaves). Also yeah, ancient Rome was pretty terrible, slavery was a thing, and you could do what you wanted with slaves, and Roman men were expected to just have male and female lovers.
Now, "Roman legionaries were prohibited from marrying while serving, and same-sex intercourse between two male Roman citizens (and thus between legionaries) was criminal, so soldiers commonly found liaisons among civilians living in or near their garrison. Evidence for homoeroticism in the military abounds. For instance, the playwright Plautus depicts characters teasing Harpax, an officerâs slave, for sleeping with his master: âWhen the soldier went to keep watch at night and you were going with him, did his sword fit into your sheath?â (Pseudolus 1180â1181)." (source)
So we have this story.
A centurion comes to Jesus, begging him to heal his servant. The modern translation uses servant. Matthew uses the Greek word pais, which means "boy," and Luke (7:1â10) uses Doulas, or "slave." Now "pais" wasn't like child, it was young man. "Attic Greek pottery with homoerotic art, for instance, commonly uses the phrase ho pais kalos (âthe young man is beautifulâ)" (Id). And "in Luke 7:2, the centurion says that the young man is entimos to him, a word commonly translated âdear.â (Id).
This Centurion is a big important, powerful guy. He brags about it to Jesus. "I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, Go' and he goes; and that one,Come', and he comes. I say to my servant, `Do this,' and he does it." It's not like he's wanting for servants. This particular servant is very important.
Important enough that this high ranking powerful officer in the occupying Roman army is begging a Jewish Faith healer for help.
And Jesus knows what's up. This is a pagan man, an enemy soldier who worships other gods and is in love with another man. Jesus does not care.
Jesus LOVES this guy because he has faith. Like he's not even Jewish, he doesn't believe in God, so why come to Jesus? Because, he knows that if Jesus says the word, his servant will be healed.
If the centurion says jump his soldiers ask how high, he's got that power. He recognizes that Jesus has power, if Jesus says his boyfriend is healed he will be healed.
And Jesus says "I tell you the truth, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith." Then Jesus said to the centurion, "Go! It will be done just as you believed it would." And his servant was healed at that very hour. (Matthew 8:8â10, 13)
Jesus does not care if you're gay. Jesus doesn't care about gender roles.
"Jesus had no condemnation for effeminate men or eunuchs. After all, he described himself metaphorically as a eunuch when referring to his own sexuality. Within the Jewish culture, however, eunuchs and effeminate men were outcasts. So he sent two of his disciples, telling them, "Go into the city, and a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him." (Mark 14:13) Carrying water in Israel was "woman's work." Telling his disciples to look for "a man carrying a jar of water" would be the same as saying today, "Look for a man in a dress, high heels, and a bouffant hairdo." That Jesus would have either a eunuch or an effeminate male lead his disciples to the upper room where the Last Supper would be held is one of Jesus' many statements of acceptance, inclusion, and compassion." Sorry for jumping on an ask about an author's fictional angel's opinion, but I just wanted to put it out there I don't think God is homophobic and there's more evidence in the Bible for love than hate.
Hello, Mr Giaman,
I was just wondering what Aziraphale thinks of people justifying their homophobia with Christianity? I personally, am gay and religious so I think they take out of context to be hateful. But is Heaven homophobic in the Good Omens universe? If it is I wonât be offended as itâs your story and itâs already made clear that Heaven gets a lot of things wrong in the Good Omens universe (as Does Hell).
Sincerely,
C
Well, Heaven definitely smote Sodom and Gomorrah. But people are still arguing over what the actual crimes of Sodom and Gomorrah were.
I'm not sure that anyone in Heaven, except possibly Sandalphon, is clear enough on the mechanics of human reproduction or recreation actually to care or even to notice.
