Doll Diaries: 10 Ways to Begin Living the Doll Life.

To introduce my brand and my mission, I have created the first guide on how to Live the Doll Life.

This is the first of many posts to build around what a Doll means.

This is a compilation of all of my advice from past posts, my values and things I recommend aspiring to. It's an initiation of some sorts, and will be a sneak peek to what my website and Patreon will entail. This covers who you want to be (your ideal self), who you are right now (your current self), your measure of confidence and value (your worth), and your reality of who you are (your traits and individuality).

Welcome to the Dollhouse!!!

A huge part of what made me choose "Doll" as a brand is the movie, Life Size (2000).

In Life Size, Eve stood up for what was right, was ambitious, and learned how to honor her feelings as a real person. I highly recommend giving it a watch (I haven't seen the second movie, only referencing the first) to really get a feel of the energy I want to cultivate and embody. Now, let's get into it!

1. Embrace everything you already are.

Just because you are in a pursuit of becoming someone new does not mean you have to discard the things that make you who you are. Embracing who you already are and who you were is key to building self confidence. Who you are now is worthy of love and gratitude.

Ask yourself:

What can I forgive myself for?

What are my current strengths and weaknesses?

How can I show myself gratitude today?

2. Love people and speak life into them.

A true Doll does not engage in taking other women down. The biggest issue in today's world is that negativity has become a hot commodity. It is so insidious once it gets started, and it has been normalized to tear other people down in shady, subtle comments. These things bear no fruit. Understand now that talking badly about people and hating them only increases their sun.

What makes the difference between a Doll and another person is that everything she says has a purpose. Before speaking ask yourself:

Is this necessary? Is this true?

What do I gain from saying this?

Would I want to hear this?

These questions will make you distinguish between feelings and facts. You may not even know why you don't like someone at first, but asking yourself critical questions will teach you to see things from a different perspective. Most of the time, this has taught me to keep certain things to myself! If you don't know what you feel yet, the best thing to do is be quiet. It really is true that if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all. ***There are obviously exceptions to the rule, such as emotional abuse, bullying, etc. Defend yourself. Just don't be the one to be a catalyst to someone's downfall.

3. Be a student of life.

In this Dollhouse, we are eager to learn!!! If you want to lead others, you have to be willing to admit that you can be wrong. Even though Dolls are well adored and well educated, we aren't always right. Well, a lot of the time I am, but that's not the point!

Ask yourself:

What is this trying to teach me? What can I take away from this?

When was the last time I opened my mind to something new?

What could I have done differently? If I am resistant to feedback or change in this present moment, why?

4. Take pride in your appearance.

We aren't perfect...but we might as well be the closest thing to it. Make the decision now that you want to look your best every day. This doesn't mean wearing a full face of makeup 24/7, but this does mean being put together. A Doll should never leave the house without looking presentable, and if this is difficult, it's time for a change! Remember in The Princess Diaries when Mia got a makeover to become a princess? She looked like a completely different person and all it took was a new routine in beauty maintenance.

Obviously, you don't have to go to the extremes like she did. There's nothing wrong with glasses, thick curly hair, or thick eyebrows. It's all about making those things cohesive, which is the point of the makeover. I suggest you go on Pinterest or other platforms to find inspiration for what you want to look like. Create a routine around looking your best for YOU...only you know what flatters you the most.

Ask yourself:

What do I feel when I look in the mirror?

What influences me? What does a Doll look like to me?

What would a physical change do for me right now? And why am I doing it?

5. Have people in your life that align with you.

Friends can inspire us, or derail us. It is extremely hard as you get older to sustain friendships because once you leave grade school, there aren't any commonalities keeping you around people you know. Sometimes, we hang onto people longer than we need to.

A verse from the Bible that I often keep in mind regarding friends is Proverbs 12:26:

The righteous choose their friends carefully, but the way of the wicked leads them astray.

Ask yourself:

Would I take advice from this person? Why or why not?

What are the pros and cons of having this person around? How do I feel after hanging out with them?

What do they do for me? Is this reciprocal or transactional?

Is this person bringing me closer to or further away from my dreams, goals, and aspirations? Do they value what I value?

During conflict, how has this friend treated me? Do I trust them? Can I go to them when I need them?

As far as relationships, that is different for everyone but the questions are relatively the same. Some people stop their entire journey towards becoming the woman of their dreams because of love. Guard your heart!!!

Ask yourself:

Does this person align with my beliefs and values? Have I vetted them to see what type of person they are?

How does this person take care of themselves spiritually, mentally, and physically?

What is their story? Is this person aware of that story (whether it's with family, exes, friends, etc.)?

What can they offer me that I cannot give to myself?

Why do I want to be with this person?

6. Truly begin to believe you ARE 1 of 1.

Everyone is different, especially you. Your energy is highly sought after, all you have to do is acknowledge that. In order to live this lifestyle, you gotta appreciate differences in people around you so you can avoid guilting yourself into assimilation/conformity.

Individuality is everything... don't trade that for the approval of others. Social media has revealed how much originality women lack... so be a breath of fresh air. Think of this as Miley Stewart becoming her alter ego, Hannah Montana. The best way to see the new you is a alter ego. Celebrities have used alter egos to embody a side of them that is full of tenacity and candor...basically what they wish they could be. Real life examples are: Sasha Fierce (Beyoncé), Roman (Nicki Minaj).

The arc of an alter ego comes full circle. At some point in the Hannah Montana franchise, Miley came to terms that she lacked nothing in being who she really was because the star power was already in her. Therefore, she let her go and embodied those qualities in herself as "Miley". After hard work it will be the same for you, and you will appreciate who you are even more and not have to separate the two.

Ask yourself:

Who am I? What makes me special?

What do I love most about myself?

What is my signature and aesthetic?

What are the qualities of my alter ego/archetype?

7. Be a woman of substance.

It's useless to work towards being an it girl if you have nothing to talk about. So many women have star quality on the outside, but they are surface level and it prevents them from being seen positively and it takes away their chance of being an it girl.

Learn about current events. Learn about past events. Learn about events that are yet to come, and form an opinion.

You have Google at your disposal, so there's really no excuse to be lazy. Find your passion...most people are empty because they don't do anything they love. Be well versed in multiple topics. I know we say beauty and brains, but it really is hard to come by these days. Most people do not read anymore, nor do they take the time out to learn things themselves.

When it comes to school, that counts as substance as well if you're actually taking classes you're getting something out of (which is a whole other post). I would be remiss if I did not mention that education isn't for everyone. But for those of you that are going to college or are in college like me, this is one of the most important stages of your life. You're on the cusp of greatness. Life happens, but no matter what, we gotta get that degree no matter how long it takes.

Ask yourself:

What's going on in the world right now?

When is the last time I read a book or did something educational?

What are my hobbies? What are my habits? How do these things speak to my intelligence and who I am?

What are the things I want out of my education and what are my goals for this upcoming semester?

8. Dedicate time to your healing.

Just because everything looks perfect, doesn’t mean it will always be that way. This journey towards being that girl will not get rid of your need to heal.

Healing is a rugged path that one must travel their entire life...your journey in becoming the person of your dreams never ends. Give yourself grace on things that you didn't know before.

As always, I recommend journaling to understand your thought process. Sometimes, I look back at my entries in my diary and realize that things weren't as bad as they seemed. Sometimes, though, they were...and for my healing process it became crucial to (when I have the capacity) revisit the moments that shaped my perspective.

I know everyone says this, but there no shame in getting help. No amount of Doll Diaries I give you or confidence lessons/advice from others will matter if you are ignoring what fills your heart with dread at night. Like Megan thee Stallion says, bad b*tches have bad days too.

I am in therapy and I take medications for my mental illnesses, and that made all the difference. Tips are in my mental health tag.

I recommend a spiritual routine that works for you. This may include meditating, praying, going to church, taking quiet time...it's all up to you, but it gives me purpose and structure when feeling existential.

Dedicate life to something bigger than yourself. Remain on the path by upkeeping discipline. Outside influences can lead you astray, but you are the difference between stumbling and getting up, and stumbling and remaining flat on your face. This will involve giving up certain things, such as music or shows or even people that push you further away from what you believe in.

Lastly, have a list of coping mechanisms that you review in crisis. Often, things get overwhelming and we won’t get the chance to sit down and journal or go read something. With that, it’s helpful to make a list of things that you know will help you cope and survive no matter what (while acknowledging the absence of these means you’re getting bad again.)

Here is a very small portion of my list:

cleaning my space

spending time with my dog

playing video games

writing, drawing, music

Ask yourself:

When's the last time I had a break without feeling guilty or lazy?

What positive practices do I have in place to keep me stable? What negative practices do I have in place that prevent me from being stable?

How am I currently working towards improving my mental state? What do I know about myself mentally and spiritually, and how can I use that to transcend?

9. Learn the art of detachment.

People talk about being unbothered, but I don't think everyone truly understands what that means. In this Dollhouse, unbothered does not mean being nonchalant and void of all emotions. Feelings are natural, and I am not sure where someone mixed that up. What creates "unbothered" energy and "detachment" is by realizing you cannot control everything and that majority of the time, it isn't personal. This is one of the hardest lessons out there.

Ask yourself:

Is this really in my control?

How can I focus on the present moment?

And ultimately, remember you cannot fix or please anyone. Keep your composure even in the face of negativity. Your reactions and perceptions to everything you deal with is the most important thing, and will be the common denominator when it comes down to your experiences. Two books I read that changed my perspective and helped me maintain this lifestyle on this was The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz and Think Like a Monk by Jay Shetty.

10. Above all, live in YOUR world!!!

Make your world exclusive. Keep certain things for yourself so it retains sacredness. Be your own best friend before anyone else. Learn to embrace your own company. Don't always be accessible. Cultivate richness in your life...be willing to take risks and have a variety of experiences.

The main and most important question to ask yourself is: What does my dream world look like?

This is where the Doll Life comes into play. Barbie was marketed as being an all around sweetheart and "girl boss" with the dream life. Bratz were marketed as having individuality and a dream world experience driven by passion.

Both have core values in making sure young girls dreamed big and remained authentic. Honorable mention: Disney, as they did a great job at emphasizing dreams can come true with Disney princesses.

What I want my version of a Doll Life to be marketed as is a world where we indulge in endless possibilities and be multiple versions of ourselves at once. Where we feel like something wonderful could happen, even in the midst of trials.

We can be gentle, yet demanding. We can be feminine with masculine energy, and vice versa. We don't have to choose between one aesthetic or the other. We don't have to conform to the world, because we are in it and not of it. Dolls are seen as "perfect", and that's just the thing, I don't want my brand to be a cookie cutter definition! That's why I say I am the Doll that no one can play with. To be a Doll means to be uniquely you and standing out amongst the rest. It's a mindset, it's a lifestyle.

Don't box yourself in... remember growing up the dream life of Bratz and Barbie refused to box themselves in and remained true to themselves. Live without limits!!! Dreams really can come true. And this Dollhouse is a safe space to DREAM!!!

Even if you don't believe it now, day by day, if you start dedicating yourself to this and remain congruent with your philosophy, you will be more than you could ever imagine. It took so much time for me to do this, but my life is forever changed. So indulge in your wishes, and create your own "life of luxury" or "dream world". Simply live by YOUR rules, and use mine as a outline to get started. I can't wait to see what all of you come up with. Do you feel that majority of Louis’ fans believe that he is the dad?

I see mixed opinions, some think we, larries, are minority, some think ppl who believe the narrative just have louder voices. What I noticed on instagram that most of larrie accounts avoid this topic cause of the hate they get, and since Louis made larrie denials and praised his son, ppl who believe him they think Louis gave the green light to send hate towards larries.

And sensitive questions, do you think we larries are welcomed in this fandom by Louis (despite his larrie denials)? Does Louis need and want us to stay?

Hi, anon! Sorry, it took forever to answer this! But I wanted to address this one ask before stepping back from the topic for a while. (thank you to everyone who always sends me asks and discussions about babygate for understanding!)

IMO it’s both. I do believe the majority think Louis is Freddie’s biological father, and I also think this majority is unbelievably louder than us. You made some great points that I agree with. I think those of us who question the narrative are often 1) older fans who are more tired of the day-to-day interactions and follow-ups, and 2) somewhat silenced because of the overwhelming hate we receive. So I assume this topic is probably avoided or only discussed privately in group chats, anonymous accounts, or places like tumblr, where we can stay in our bubble more easily. That’s why the other side is so much louder. I do think there are still a lot of us who don’t believe the narrative, but it's nothing compared to when this all started. Back then, it felt like no one believed it. Over the years, Louis has done a lot to rebrand and embed the idea into fans’ minds that Freddie is his carbon copy and that he’s a devoted father. I think these are the two key pillars that make people not only believe he’s Freddie’s father but also become deeply attached to their relationship, especially since it’s been so publicly shared.

They went from something super shady and avoided to placing it front and center, making the father-son dynamic likeable and even endearing to A LOT of fans. That’s why I think the majority now believe it… honestly, being a father has become a huge part of Louis’ persona, and it’s something his fans love. If you look at comments and stuff like that, people are obsessed with him and Freddie, especially after the documentary. It’s crazy how it changed.

As for your second question, ugh… I’m honestly not sure. I do go back and forth on it a lot. It feels very hypocritical of him to act like he doesn’t want us here after all the fan service and encouragement he gave us regarding babygate and larry discussions. Especially since a huge part of his fanbase seems to be accepting very accepting of larry. It feels like a betrayal every time he encourages the hate toward us, an awful look on him.

Here are other ideas about the story:

In this AU Angel didn't worked with Valentino, he and Arackniss reconciled before Angel could sign a contract with him

That is not to say Angel wasn't doing sex work, he would take all kinds of offers, from stripping to singing gigs, just for the money

Regarding the backstory of the spider brothers I haven't really fleshed it out but here are some points of it:

They had kind of a strained relationship even though they cared for each other, because Arackniss (or Andrew as I like to think) used to put down Anthony's dreams of becoming a performer like the drag queens he liked to see (in secret) in the gay bars the Mafia used to own back in the 30s (real history btw)

He did this in hopes he would give up, leave it all behind and live a 'normal' life, out of fear their dad would disown him, or worse, kill him

It wouldn't matter anyway because both of them would die together while doing a shady work for the mob (who started the shots? They couldn't really remember)

At the beginning of their afterlife Arackniss avoided Angel with the guilt that (according to him) it was his fault his little brother got shot in the eye. (He was too far, too late, he couldn't protect his brother and now he's dead because of him)

Cause of this angel thinks his brother hates him, but they eventually encounter during a turf war that went wrong

Arackniss sees Angel surrounded and not wanting to repeat his brothers death again, he saves him this time.

They sort things out, and become closer than ever

When Arackniss figures out what angel has been doing for money they decide to start doing mob work again, they're good and people start giving their loyalty and doing contracts with them because the brothers actually care about the souls they own, deciding to learn from their father's mistakes, they respect all of their workers

furthermore, Angel gains more influence because he gave the people he met while being a sex worker, safe and living conditions; every stripper, actor, performer wanted to work with him, and with all the contracts he made, became an overlord

On the other hand, arackniss does all the shady work, sticking to the shadows, not wanting any attention. He is very prod of angel, and becomes his right hand man

Other ideas and dynamics:

Angel calls arackniss An, Andy or niss

Arackniss calls angel Angie, Anni, or Anth. (He never really liked tony, that's what his father called him)

They love each other very much but they're still siblings, they bicker and fight all the time (all their goons are used to it at this point, unimpressed by the brothers shenanigans)

Valentino develops some sort of obsession with Angel after meeting him (this brings problems)

Angel fell first, husk fell harder

They kind of had an enemies to lovers (but not really, more like a rivalry bc angel likes to annoy the cat overlord for fun)

Molly is still in heaven in this AU, arackniss was able to shield her from the family business (he couldn't with angel though, That's part of his guilt)

She died of heart disease before the brothers death

Angel is the spoilt younger sibling

I haven't really thought about how him and husk get together but they will definitely become a power couple

I like the idea Angel performs at the casino

He sings, does drag, etc. (Maybe some pornos too, just for fun)

What caught husk's attention is that Angel cared a lot for the souls he owned, he treated them like the humans they are

No don’t worry, your English is fine and welcome to the world of BTS and shipping even though it’s crazy out here so buckle up lol.

I guess some people see something in taekook while others don’t and you happen to be one of those who doesn’t. For me, it’s always been clear that taekook are just friends not just because I couldn’t see anything beyond friendship but because all the evidence and common sense points to them being just friends but I guess not everyone sees things the same way and that’s why we still have tons of taekookers out there.

As for Jikook, they’ve always been the most likely pair to be real to me not just because of what I see or feel about them but because there’s been alot of that has strongly pointed to the possibility of them being more than friends over the years. I cannot swear that we are right about them being a couple because we never know but I know for a fact that they have and have always had an incredibly deep bond. Also, I am positive that taekook are nothing more than friends, no matter what taekookers would like to say about them and the solo era.

I would advise that you try to find and watch as much original content as possible. You can find some on Youtube, daily motion, weverse etc. Try to avoid youtube, instagram or tiktok edited videos because those tend to take out alot of context which makes you misunderstand alot of their interactions or moments. You can also check out @stormblessed95 blog. She has done an incredible job in explaining their dynamics and breaking things down. She is also the best person to go to if you need to find a specific content. To know more about the other members you can follow member focused accounts on any social media platform but make sure you are not following toxic or delusional shippers or solos because they could influence you to start hating on or being shady towards other members. Find content like run bts, In the soop, Bon Voyage to really get to know them. You can also watch their Vlives from weverse. sometimes it feels like you can never win because one way or another, theres always someone criticizing you. People are nervous around you and its not necessarily anything you do. I got a lot of scorpio and plutonian energy in my cards/ the oracles. People in your daily life make you seem like the villain because either 1) you don't share too much of you and they are craving for access or 2) you are equally as suspicious of them. Regardless, people can be kind of intimidated of you (but never publically admit it, more like hide it behind shady comments). lol the lyrics of the song playing right now in the background "make everyone hate me if that makes you feel better, your girl talks shit about me just to feel better" as you keep climbing up in your career/ reputation youre going to feel like a lot of more people are judging you. Accept that you cant control that. And if it makes you feel any better, it is envy/ hate but its to hide some jealousy and even some admiration as well.

I heard "theres just no way in hell that this is all on me" the people you live with/ family (and in your hometown) could see you as the villain in those moments you are trying to express your emotions. You could get called being too "emotional" I heard "crybaby" or maybe even being called a hothead & impulsive when you try to talk to your loved ones about how you feel. You could be known for having a short temper or being very emotional (like the type to cry after seeing someone in pain or reading a sad news article). In reality, people close to you can get irritated with how emotionally intelligent you are. When you're angry/ upset about something your'e always determined to do something about it, and you start off by allowing yourself to feel your feelings. Accept that some people dont want to make room for you needs/ emotions. But then know when its time to refuse to give people more access to your energy and make sure you are meeting ur own needs. I just heard "I am worth more than these poor experiences you are trying to give to me"

you could find that people in your neighborhood, apartment complex, or even the school you go to tend to turn you into the villain on the forms you communicate/ ask questions/ express yourself intellectual point of view. If you have siblings you could find that you get into frequent fights or bicker a lot. Youre eager to learn new things and that could throw other people off as you rush past them, ready to know more about the world. this pile reminds me of a curious child lol touching the "dont touch" sign. Out of all the piles this one feels more playful. Its like people suck their teeth and roll their eyes but youre so resilient. you bounce back in a way that feels so efortless that they dont stay too mad. its like even the people that see you as "the villian" at times are still secretly rooting for you? idk lol this pile was weird but also kind of endearing. Again, it reminds me of the way a child falls and quickly gets back up. Even if people judge you, you know that you have to keep it pushing. I just heard "in 5 years... shit, in 5 weeks none of this bs is gonna matter"

people you get into close relationships with (friends, but especially lovers or even your crushes) can make you the villain for your "eccentricity." this pile gave off big Aquarius energty (it reminds me of those with aspects between venus and uranus). lol like your beauty and ways of being are very unique or quirky. honestly, those qualities (your forms of dress, taste in music, the weird things you say, random facts u know) are actually what makes people interested in you and start crushing on you. but then at the same time they judge you for not conforming to societal norms. It's like "I think you are unique and brave, but god cant you just be normal sometimes?" thats annoying! My advice to you is don't EVER let people treat you as if spending time with you was a burden and don't let people pick and choose when to hang out with you. watch out for when you have big groups of friends, you could find that 1 or 2 could be hating behind your back. You always stand out in the crowd and sometimes that leaves insecure people with a sour taste in their mouth. You could be someone that has a different religion/ ethnicity/ background in comparison from the rest of your peers (whether it be at school or work). lol alien superstar is playing in the background rn "don't ever waste your time trying to compete with me... no one else in this world can think like me'

You would never shift with that mindset All you do is complain and argue with everybody else. You will be forever stucked in this reality grow up and learn what shifting reality is. You're doing more effort in being a limiting person than doing an actual work in shifting. You don't understand how in every reality it's a different past for every race. You sound very inexperienced you mini shifted once and act like you know how this universe works. You are stuck in CR circumstances. A little bit of my thoughts on some situation, that one, by my surprise, that is still going and i see it like some hell of the ride

My discussion going to take places around one person /I'm not going to name them/

I met this person online while drawing in magma, and i thought/and still think/ about them as a fun to talk to and draw with

Let's be honest - we drew some NSFW stuff /in closed magma sessions/

At some point they revealed that they’re turning 18 and not 19.

After this everyone suddenly went into rampage mode/again, this is how i see the situation, you can have your own opinion on that/

Some people, like me, didn't care about their age, if they're fun to communicate with, I don't really think about how old they are

But other audience...well, some said that they're just disappointed, and i understand, they have their own reasons

But there were people who started anonymously or even openly harass this person

Let's be honest - nobody is going to sue you

You didn't know their age when you interacted with them. The fact that they were hiding their real age is their responsibility, not yours

Second of all - once they will turn 18 nobody is going to care or call the police. As if police would want to get involved in something like this

Okay, now to the point

On insta some other day i saw a couple of people posting in their stories "don't talk to this person" and sharing this person’s account

By this point i was so tired of seeing all of this happening, and I don't want people harassing one person because of one mistake they made, and, again, they admitted they were wrong, they’re already paying the price. Of course this doesn't mean that people will suddenly forgive them, but again, does this age stuff really matter when you just chatting?...

Anyway, i texted one person that posted this on insta, expressing my opinion that they shouldn't probably share this person's account, because let's be real, it can encourage more harassment, it even looks like harassment when you post stuff like this with some rude comment about this person

I didn't want to have to make this post, I've seen enough shipping drama on Tumblr over the years that I usually steer clear of it, but there’s been so much Nooshy bashing in the tags lately that I feel compelled to weigh in on it.

Why do people like Nooshy? Well, to put it simply, even though she’s never the center of attention in "Sing 2", Nooshy manages to be a girl with layers, and there's a lot to appreciate about her. When we're first introduced to her, she's a street performer so she can make the money that she needs to survive, but she’s also genuinely passionate about her craft - she loves to dance - and she enjoys getting a chance to share that passion with someone else whenever they come along.

While she can be snarky and prickly and slow to trust strangers, she’s also very nice once you get to know her. After a young turtle kid almost screws up her performance, she's still very playful and accommodating towards him. When she’s brought backstage to the Crystal theater, she compliments some dude's hat just to make him feel good about himself. While she initially agrees to help Johnny because he offers to pay her, she starts to stick up for him and genuinely support him, because the way Klaus treats him isn't right. She decides to help the Moon Theater troupe put on their big show, even though she's only known these people for about a week and their plan will surely be very dangerous, because the way Jimmy Crystal treats them isn't right either and she wants to help them stick it to the man. After Johnny tells her that he and his family used to be a gang of notorious criminals, Nooshy never judges them for their shady past, and is actually quite happy to see how close he and his father are now (especially since it's implied that she might not even have parents herself). And during "A Sky Full Of Stars", she encourages Johnny to never give up and follow his heart, because he's her friend and she wants to see him succeed.

Nooshy is snarky and mischievous, but underneath it all, she's actually a very kind girl, and very loyal towards the people who earn her respect. And by the end of "Sing 2", she gets her happy ending when she not only gets a new paying career doing what she loves, but also finds a place where she belongs among the Moon Theater troupe.

The reason why I just went off on that rather long tangent, dissecting her character, is to drive home the point that Nooshy has done nothing in the canon films to warrant the way people talk about her sometimes.

I've seen people insult everything about her and her fans for shipping reasons, because they see her as a threat to their preferred ships (even though she and Johnny are not even canonically a couple by the end of "Sing 2"). And there's a real double standard when it comes to this too, because no other character who's been shipped with Johnny over the years gets this kind of treatment. Meena doesn't, Ash doesn't, Ryan doesn't (even though the claim that Nooshy haters sometimes make - that people only like her as one half of a ship - could just as easily be said about him).

And this is really nothing new. Characters getting trash-talked over shipping wars is a tale as old as time when it comes to fandoms, and people are entitled to their opinions. The reason why I made this post is because lately, the Nooshy bashing is starting to cross a line.

Over the last few months, I've been seeing a growing number of comments complaining about people including Nooshy in their fanart. I've also been seeing a growing number of posts outright insulting people who like Nooshy or like to ship her with Johnny, saying that they're stupid and shallow and should just go away because they’re a blight on the fandom.

How about no.

In a fandom, people are allowed to like whatever character they like, or ship whatever couple they like, so long as they're not hurting anyone. If you hate Nooshy so much that you can't stand seeing any fanart of her or fanfics of her, because you don't want to be reminded that she exists, then I'm sorry but you're either just going to have to deal with that or stop engaging with the parts of the fandom where people want to appreciate her. Because quite frankly, your hatred for this character is no one else’s problem except your own and people are not going to stop liking her just for your benefit.

RANDOM ONLY FRIENDS THEORIES/THOUGHTS

- Sand will get tired of Ray’s shenanigans/not coming first in his life and take a step back. I think this might be where this mystery character comes into play (*the one he has a love scene with). Sand is my favorite character by a long shot and I just know he’s going to do something that disappoints me… I’m dreading it because I will call him out even though I love him dearly. Part of me thinks his lack of empathy/straight shooter attitude will get him into trouble. Sometimes he is TOO honest. On the flip side, I also think he feels things very deeply and this will not bode well because Ray is an addict. His heart will shatter. Not excited at all.

- Ray WILL absolutely lose his damn mind if he finds out about Sand sleeping with someone else (*maybe I’m wrong, but he just seems like the jealous type lol) I think he will push Sand away because falling in love with someone who has the capacity to love him back will terrify him. I think he will spend most of the series trying to convince himself and others that he doesn’t have REAL feelings for Sand. Poor babe. It’s okay Ray, I love you anyway. I do think he will be sober/starting his journey to sobriety by the finale too. I can’t wait for this part!

- I think we are missing some very vital information about Boston. I’m not sure what it could be… but I’m so worried about him. I know that may seem silly… sue me. He just gives me “I’m actually so fucking miserable and I hate myself uwu” vibes. Could be very wrong though lol. There is clear tension between him & Mew and I think there is a reason for that. One that might surprise us. Mew has made some shady comments about Boston & Boston doesn’t hold back when he talks about Mew to Top.

- Nick has no idea what healthy boundaries are. From the beginning, he has completely disregarded Boston’s right to privacy. Yes he’s cute and yes he’s young, but he has crossed every line imaginable (almost) and they aren’t even in a committed relationship. Boston isn’t obligated to be faithful. He doesn’t owe Nick any information about his sex life outside of their arrangement. Sigh. I think it will only get worse from here though… Revenge porn??… I hope not… I also think Nick just wants to be loved.

- Mew. There is something about Mew that I can’t quite wrap my head around. I was VERY surprised that he chose to use sex as a bargaining tool. It seemed very out of character for him. I love that he called Ray out for kissing him without his permission. It needed to be addressed and Mew handled it flawlessly. Which again, is why I was so shocked by his choices at the end of this latest episode… Ray calls him out yet again before he leaves, “Is Top really the kind of boyfriend you want?” This is the second time Ray has said something like this. Is Mew trying to prove something? Does it bother him that Ray of all people, the person he has very clearly said isn’t the type of boyfriend he wants, is the person pointing out that Top isn’t a good option either?

- Top is so complex. They all are really, but Top has so many layers and he isn’t as easy to read. (In my opinion) This ex is definitely important to him. I think he has some scars from that relationship. I also think there is some sort of hidden trauma that hasn’t been shared with us yet. His relationship with sex is all over the place. I can’t even begin to dissect that.

I have so many other thoughts swirling around in my brain, but they get so jumbled up lol. This probably makes no sense either, so have fun reading my nonsense. Or don’t. That’s cool too.

Whenever he has to talk about emotions or emotions are involved in the conversation suddenly he gets quieter and his sentences have less of a flow. He doesn't stutter, but he needs a minute to get them out. hmm yes very interesting.

A couple of days had passed since the full moon and today is the day the Poe cup was held. I am going to participate together with my friends Xabier and Ajax and one of Ajax's gorgon friends.

The theme of our canoe is a mix between clowns and the joker, although I see us more as shady buffoons. But according to Xavier we are like the joker and according to Ajax we are clowns. So it's a mix.

Everyone is around the lake, where the competition is going to take place and the groups are ready to get into the canoes.

Enid: Y/n! - she exclaims screaming and running towards me dressed as a black cat. –You look a little scary.- she assures me, looking at Ajax and me from top to bottom.

Y/n: Thank you.- I say proudly, smiling broadly.

Wednesday: They're not scary.- she denies appearing next to my sister in the same costume, with cat ears and everything, but without the mustaches.

I look her up and down, noticing how the suit clings to her body and fits her like a glove. But I can also see her brows furrowing slightly in annoyance as well as her crossed arms.

Y/n: What happens, the kitten hasn't been given its sweets?- I ask my sister's friend with fun and with a false pout.

Wednesday: This kitten can tear you into 13 parts if she wants to.- she returns the comment with an intense look.

Y/n: I want to see you try, Addams.- I assure her, crossing my arms and with a superior smile on my face.

Wednesday: You better sleep with one eye open.- she threatens me directly and I just smile at her.

Enid: What's going on here ? - I hear how she asks my friend in a whisper.

Wednesday: I don't flirt.- she denies in the form of a grunt. -I'm just telling this idiot what I can do to him if he continues to tempt his fate.- she tells my friend, pointing at me with her thumb, using her threatening tone and causing my friend to take a step back in fright.

Enid: I just came to wish you luck.- she tells me and Ajax. -Although you won't need it, because this year we are going to win.- she assures us with all the confidence in the world.

Y/n: As long as Bianca doesn't win I'm happy.- I commented raising my arms. -I can't stand Bianca's superior smile when she always wins.- I growled, crossing my arms.

Ajax: That's because you like Bianca and you hate when she rubs her superiority in your face.- he tells me with a smile full of fun.

Enid: Wait. Since when do you like Bianca?- she asks with a look of disgust on her face.

Y/n: I don't like her.- I deny immediately wrinkling my nose, feeling an intense and heavy gaze on me . -Is she attractive? Yeah. But it's Bianca, I could never like someone with the ego and personality that she has.- I assure my sister with an unappetizing gesture.

Enid: It's better for you, because this sister-brother bond ends up here if you like her.- she threatens me, pointing her index finger at me.

Y/n: I don't like her! - I exclaim in the form of a growl.

It's not to put Bianca down. That is to say, as a friend Bianca is fine, she helps you with your homework and listens to you when you need it. But as a couple I doubt it's the same.

I've known Bianca for years and even though my sister doesn't get along with her at times. I have spent more time with her, since she is Xavier's ex-girlfriend and since we are friends I had spent time with the ex-couple.

So I know Bianca well. She is a sensitive girl with maternal traumas, which prevents her from being her best version with people and causes her to act in a conceited way most of the time. But behind that facade, there is a good person and only very few people can really know her.

But as a girlfriend she is very bossy and demanding. So it would never occur to me to think of her in anything other than as a friend.

Wednesday: I wouldn't be surprised if you felt a certain attraction towards Bianca.- she assures causing us to look at her confused. -You are both immature, conceited, and insolent beings. You would make a good couple.- she nods to what she said, with a certain aggressive tone and I look at her confused.

Y/n: What?- I ask in a whisper, not understanding where her comment comes from and the tone with which she said it.

Wednesday: I have said what I have said and I do not take it back.- she says with her usual monotonous tone of voice and with her face impassive of any emotion.

The four of us remain completely silent, while I look at  Wednesday confused and try to understand what just happened.

Enid: We're leaving.- She clears her throat, before grabbing her best friend's arm and pulling her towards the shore of the lake.

I just watch the girls walk away, frowning and completely confused with what just happened.

Ajax: Stop looking at Wednesday's ass or she'll tear your eyes out.- he whispers to me and I open my eyes surprised by his accusation.

Y/n: I'm not looking at her ass.- I deny immediately, looking away from the girls and directing it to my best friend.

Ajax: Aha, whatever you say friend.- he says patting my shoulder without much importance and following the path that the girls have taken moments before.

Y/n: I wasnt't! – i exclaim running after him, listening to his laughter and receiving confused looks from those present.

The last thing I need in my life is for Wednesday to get the rumor that I was looking at her ass and carry out the threat she made to me earlier. Plus I wasn't looking at her ass.

Wednesday POV

After the victory of the Poe cup, the worst example of kidnapping by Nightshade students and the stupid and unnecessary need to "work" in Pilgrim World, it's time to return to the investigation.

Having briefly stopped by the Weathervane and spoken to Tyler for information, I head to the original meeting house.

I walk through the woods, looking for what's left of the meeting house and hoping to find some clue regarding the monster. I need to find something, something that will help me advance my investigation and discover the identity of the monster.

In the distance I can make out the ruins of the original meeting house, so I quicken my pace a bit and safely enter it. I put the backpack on the ground, so Thing can come out and help me look around.

I look around, finding nothing important in sight and feeling a slight disappointment at the ruins of the place.

Wednesday: I also expected more.- I nod towards thing, who makes me some signs of agreement.

XY: Who are you talking to little girl- I hear a male voice behind me, so I turn around and see a rather scruffy older guy.

Wednesday: Use small and girl again to refer to me, and I do not assure you of your well-being.- I warn him with all the honesty that my body has.

XY: This is my house! Get out of here! – he orders starting to get angry.

Wednesday: Can you give me a hand? - I ask Thing and it immediately moves, throwing itself at the homeless man's neck.

I watch as the thing chokes him and grabs his chin for a few moments, before turning around and continuing to look through the ruins of the place.

Y/n: Can you tell why I just saw a thing choke a homeless man? - I hear a familiar voice, so I turn to the door of the house and watch the blonde boy for a few moments.

Wednesday: It's none of your business.- I answer monotonously and direct my attention back to the ruins.

Y/n: Ok.- I hear how he clicks his tongue against the top of his palate. -But why the hell are you searching through the ruins of this site? - he asks and I can hear his footsteps approaching me.

Wednesday: I'll repeat it again, it's none of your business.- I tell him again, lightly tapping a can of beer with my foot. -There's nothing here.- I assure, turning around and seeing Thing back in the ruins.

Y/n: And what are you looking for? - he asks again and I fight with all my might to not growl at him.

Wednesday: Nothing that interests you.- I assure him, turning my body towards his and staring at him. -Go away.- I order him firmly.

Y/n: And why would I? - he asks with a small funny smile on his lips. -That is to say, we are in a public place and you have no right to throw me out of here.- he assures me starting to walk around the place and look everywhere.

Wednesday: Maybe a don´t have that right, but I do have a knife and I warn you that I can use it.- I threaten him, trying not to show my frustration in my voice.

Y/n: Yeah, just like your threat to dismember me.- he comments humorously. -Last night I was waiting for you to show up, you know, so that you would cut me into 13 pieces and all that, but you didn't show up.- he reminds me and I look at him with narrowed eyes.

Wednesday: I can do it right now.- I assure him, narrowing my eyes just a few centimeters.

Y/n: Yes, well, right now I don't feel like it.- He pretends to be disappointed. -But going back to the main topic, why are you here?- he asks me again.

Wednesday: It's private.- I answer crossing my arms and without taking my eyes off him.

Y/n: So this has nothing to do with the monster and your investigation, right? - he comments with a proud smile and I grit my teeth.

Wednesday: How do you know about my investigation?- I ask him in a threatening way, taking a step towards him.

Y/n: Enid.- Answer as if it was the most obvious thing. -What I don't understand is what are you doing here? - he asks, moving his hands in reference to the ruins.

Wednesday: Searching for information for my research.- I answer simply.

Y/n: And what do you think you can find in a place like this? - he asks walking around the place.

Wednesday: I think I've already answered enough unnecessary questions on your part.- I assure him, refusing to continue wasting my time with him and looking towards Thing.

I see how he tells me to touch things, to see if I can get a vision and that it will be of help to my case.

Wednesday: No, I can't just touch something.- I tell the hand. -My visions appear spontaneously.- I remind him approaching the appendix. -I would rather dye my hair pink than ask my mother for advice.- I assure him when he suggests the option.

Y/n: It would be something worth seeing.- He laughs from the other side of the house.

Wednesday: And can I know why you're still here?- I ask aggressively and he raises his hands up in the air.

Y/n: You don't have to be so aggressive.- he assures me with a frown. -But answering your question, I'm not going to leave you in this place alone and with a monster prowling through the forest.- he explained with a serious face.

Wednesday: I don't need your help or protection, I know how to do it on my own very well.- I assure him with a frown.

Y/n: Do what Thing told you.- he tells me changing the subject and I stare at him. -What? Maybe by touching the things in this place you can provoke a vision and that will help you in your investigation. - he explains to me as if it were obvious, shrugging his shoulders.

Wednesday: It won't do any good.- I deny seeing Thing supporting the wolf. -Do you want me to show you?- I ask and touch one of the wooden beams. -No.- I say walking to another part and touching a wall with both hands. -Nothing.- I assure them looking around me . -But I bet this will give us some clue.- I say ironically picking up a paper bag from the ground and raising it in the air, pretending to have a vision.

Y/n: You don't have to be so rude either.- He rolls his eyes at my actions. -Thing is just trying to help you.- He complains about my attitude.

Wednesday: He doesn't need you to defend him.- I assure him walking towards my backpack. -And my visions are as predictable as a shark attack. - I say picking up my backpack from the ground and walking towards the exit.

Y/n: Come on Wednesday, don't be like that.- I hear how his footsteps follow me. -You just have to touch a pa...- he begins but when I touch the door handle to leave, my body stiffens and everything turns dark.

As soon as I get into my vision, I see a crowd of people with torches and decide to hide behind some wooden barrels. I watch what happens and I see what happens between Goody Addams and Crackstone.

I see how outcasts or different people like me are burned in Jericho many years ago. I see how my ancestor escapes from the incandescence and from one moment to another I appear in a dark and smoky field.

Goody: He won't stop until he's finished with everyone.- she assures me erratically after running towards me . -He's here.- she says looking over my shoulder, which causes me to look too and see Crackstone approaching us.

Crackstone: You won't have any escape. - He threatens me with a gravelly and slightly distorted voice.

I stumble as I walk backwards, causing me to fall and rejoin in complete darkness for a few seconds.

Y/n: Wednesday!- he exclaims when I wake up, helping me to get up and sit on the now wet floor. -Are you okay?- he asks me with some concern on his face.

Wednesday: I have seen her.- I tell Thing. -The girl from my visions, her name is Goody Addams and I think she is my ancestor from 400 years ago.- I count feeling the raindrops fall on me and wetting my clothes more than they already are.

Y/n: Are you okay? - I hear how he asks again and I just nod in response. -Let's get you off the ground.- he tells me and helps me get on my two feet.

But my attention goes from the werewolf, to a noise behind one of the walls and I decide to walk towards it. I approached the wall, looking through one of the gaps between the wood and not seeing anything else in the forest.

Wednesday: It must have been that bearded man.- I tell the hand and the blond boy.

Y/n: Do you smell that? - he asks and I look at him strangely, while I observe how he sniffs the air of the place. -It smells different, there is something new and strange in the environment.- he comments looking around.

I just ignore it and look again through the hole from before. But suddenly, a big eye appears on the other side of the hole and the monster lets out a growl scaring me.

Y/n: Wednesday!- he exclaimed running towards me and pulling me back.

I just stare at the monster between the gaps in the wood, watching it look at me and start to walk away quickly.

Wednesday: Come on, let's go.- I say starting to walk quickly, leaving the house and running after the monster.

Y/n: Addams wait!- He yelled running after me. -Stop ! - he yells again and I can hear him closer to me.

I just ignore him, running and following the tracks the monster has left in the mud. I slow down, when I don't see the monster anywhere and I follow the footsteps.

As I follow the tracks, I can see how they go from being large to being smaller and more human-like. This means that the monster is human.

Y/n: What's wrong with you? - he asks me annoyed, grabbing me by my arm and pulling me up off the ground. -You can't just run after a monster like that.- he reproaches me, pulling my arm towards him and I look at him angrily.

Wednesday: Look, idiot.- I tell him, pointing to the footprints with my free hand, causing his attention to go from me to the footprints on the ground and his brows to frown.

Y/n: It´s human? - Asks surprised and confused without letting me go yet.

Wednesday: Yes.- I whisper a little uncomfortable, when I realize how my body presses against his and how his hand softens its grip on my arm.

I swallow hard, when his attention returns to me and an uncomfortable and unknown sensation invades my gut.

I am aware of the heat that emanates from his body against mine, contrasting with the cold that surrounds us and that my body reacts involuntarily sticking closer to his in search of heat.

I don't understand what's happening to my body, why I'm enduring such closeness from Y/n and why my body is reacting in such an absurd way to his presence.

I can even feel my dark heart beating in an exaggeratedly accelerated way, causing the noise of its heartbeat and the erratic breathing of both of us to be the only thing I hear.

Xavier: What the hell are you doing? - I hear behind me, making me separate myself from the blonde quickly and make sure to put as much distance between us as possible.

Wednesday: We're following the monster.- I answer completely ignoring what just happened and directing my attention to the boy under the red umbrella.

Xavier: Have you seen it?- he asks, starting to look around frantically. -Is it here? Do you want to die? - he asks only me, taking a step towards me and also covering me with the umbrella.

Wednesday: And what are you doing here?- I ask interested and suspicious of his presence in the place, just when the monster jut disappears.

Xavier: I heard that you were going to the old meeting room, I guess I've arrived a bit late.- he answers looking over my shoulder at the forest.

Wednesday: I have discovered something.- I assure, staring at him. - The monster is human, its tracks go from being monstrous to human.- I explain looking at him with some insecurity.

Xavier: Show them to me.- he asks me and I turn to point him to the place, but the heavy rain has erased the traces.

Wednesday: The rain has erased them.- I murmured loud enough for him to hear me, receiving an unbelievable sigh from him and I look at him seriously. -I know what I've seen.- I assured him firmly.

Xavier: I try to keep an open mind.- He defends himself quickly.

Wednesday: Y/n has also seen them.- I realize. -Right Y/n? - I ask turning to where the blonde is, but there is absolutely no one in the place he was occupying and that confuses me. -Where is he? - I ask confused.

Xavier: I don't know.- He shrugged without giving it importance. -I think you're right about Rowan.- he comments causing my attention to return to him.

Wednesday: And that change of heart? - I ask him interested and curious, that in just a few hours he has changed his opinion regarding his former roommate.

We talked a bit more about Rowan and why someone would cover up his murder. Before we part ways and I head back to the center of town.

Once downtown, I walk to the Crackstone fountain in front of the church carrying my cello and gesturing to thing to carry out our plan.

As the mayor gives his speech, my eyes travel over the face of each person present, stopping when they meet blue-green eyes.

I detail the frown on Y/n's face, seeing how his body is more rigid than usual and how he ignores what the people around her tells him. His attention is completely focused on the mayor, but he has a lost and somewhat dark look in his eyes.

So I can believe that he is angry or upset with or about something, but I don't know what and that bothers me. Because I don't understand the reason why I'm looking at him, because why I'm detailing his face and why I'm questioning everything.

It doesn't interest me and I shouldn't want to find out why the werewolf is angry. But not knowing why he's upset causes a nauseating and sick feeling inside me.

It's feels like some spiders were digging and trying to get out of my stomach.

I don't understand why I'm feeling this. What I do know is that I don't like it and that I want to stop feeling it right now.

I have to find a way to stop feeling this and I have to find it NOW!

I woke up pondering about edy's comments and found it a bit funny and ironic because she probably doesn't know just like we don't know.

Oliver recently talked about how he wasn't heavily involved in this upcoming episode 2 so he'll be getting to watch it for the first time with us.

It's the same case with her. In her eyes she does her few scenes and goes home.

In her head she is the chosen love interest and she is indeed being asked to come back.

The second half of the season hasn't publicly been announced (or fully filmed I assume) so she's just as oblivious as we are.

What I will say is that celebrities should know to not be in the spaces of fandom and don't get heavily involved.

Especially with shippers.

As a fangirl I have always been protective, I would say, over my stuff but I made like a rule that I don't reply or have online arguments.

(mostly because i get riled up easily in real life and it's dangerous imagine doing it with a complete stranger or a mob of them if we're being fr because there's never just one person arguing with you.)

Every wprd is carefully chosen, every shot has a purpose and every cut is done. These things are practiced a thousand times, edited, retaked a thousand times if they have to.

There's no mistakes in media. It's literally made to influence, persuade and educate.

Nothing is a coincidence!

But after reading a few interviews and listening to the fandom I think we can also say with confidence they've been playing it as a romance.

There's nothing platonic.

They have platonic couples on the show.

Even if you see it as pure writing without the context of their acting choices.

Ik we all know that scene religiously and can only see it as insane (because they are. It is.) but I read it in my mind as a blank sheet of paper and couldn't help but wonder.

I imagined it more platonically. You can quite literally put, let's say, Hen and Chim in that same scenario. Damn even Eddie and Chim.

Their acting choices would reflect that. Hell, read the lines without looking (or hearing their insane intonation) and imagine your best friend. Any friend for that matter.

It wasn't playful, it was well, sexually tense. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Ps i love buck 1.0 and was shooketh to see his return because i watched the show backwards. i did season 2-6 in like a week then begrudgingly did season 1. Me nah like abby ...

They are choosing to act it out as a romance.

Now that could lend itself to male partnership in movies (and real life) where they went to war together that were usually where gay/queer men had partnerships/relationships in every sense of the word.

The shows ain't got it from nothing. 🤷🏾‍♀️

I also find out a bit hilarious to imagine the director tried to get them to stop but the takes were either too good or they kept pushing the envelope and the editors were like yes. 🤗

On a bit of a more serious note let's say it is a bit of manipulation of the masses marketing wise.

The show is very queer friendly with a (black!) lesbian couple, a gay man, an engaged (black!) gay couple and many queer stories of different races in their cases that are told wonderfully.

I acknowledge and comment them for it but ..

The big problem is how Buddie is treated. (Or rather the very rational people who ship them)

(which their name is kind of funny because I link it to buddy cop movies that can be homoerotic when they feel like it and buddie is technically that trope)

Homosexual media (in the case of film) has always been subtext, hidden, stereotyped, twisted or been outright secret messages for the girls to uncode (cause religion 🤷🏾‍♀️).

It has only been like very recent that queer people have been gaining respect in media so it's not surprising.

What life was like in 2019 to now in terms of queer media is like night and day. The same would be for the 2000s. Gay was used as an insult. The world is quite literally changing before our eyes.

In their case, the elf scene is said to be a wink at the audience.

But the actors took it seriously. So we do as well.

Aka the battery put in they back.

The chemistry is undeniable, and the tropes they have parallel a lot of romantic things used historically in media. (And in the show *bathena* but🤷🏾‍♀️)

It's not an accident to say that if one of them had been female (aka the "acceptable" pairing) they'd have been together.

You could argue that if he'd been with Maddie like intended they'd be together. And little jiyun would be a sister.

I found it interesting when watching like a compilation (cause i did nawt watch the show before become a buddie fan) and found it hilarious because it was like their normal behavior and i felt the romantic tension shift. It was like whoooaaa holup. The air shifted.

It's very easy to spot it because at the first few episodes it was very platonic then it became very side eye....

What do you mean he's cute? What do you mean wanna go for the title?

(That scene is eternally insane)

What do you mean with other couples they're paired as a family? Consistently?

What do you mean the kid and you go on solo family outings to the zoo? Constantly? For years?

You take care of him like all the time?

What do you mean he's your kid's legal guardian and partly the reason you lived after being trapped in a well?

The actors play it romantically. Ryan does cause I remember step up.

After like a year together? Over his family? Who are not firefighters??

The show also (unfortunately) writes their love interests as tools of self growth for them (which can be a bit problematic cause the women aren't being treated three dimensionally characters men get to be. the two who were closest were abby, and Taylor. Shannon was so so for me personally. Which is odd because they have complex main females it's just unfortunate that the women they have for them are rarely people outside of the relationship and that's why it falls apart in the case of their relationship/people getting invested).

Nobody is quite literally written as important to each other like them. They are in a relationship no doubt. We can say queer platonic now (as they are raising a kid together?!??!! Like come on. Chim and Hen aren't like Buck and Ed. Also the good cop bad cop scene?)

It's just not sexual I'd say.

Cause emotionally, mentally all that is there.

And they could absolutely play it "straighter" 🥴 cause I've seen a plethora of male friendships (slight side eye ry we got buddy cop movies galore don't play with me!!!) where they support each other.

They don't act like that!!!! Look at this and tell me I'm wrong!

It's not inaccurate to say that the way they're written (and acted!!) is more romantic than platonic.

I'd assume they couldn't let the two hot men who represent "manliness" be together because they didn't fit into a (gay) stereotype.

But they will gladly let you advertise their show to the high heavens and bring in millions of dollars in revenue, which does upset me ngl but 🤷🏾‍♀️ hey, can't hate the player hate the game right?

I think a part of it is that by the very nature of you being the author, you’re going to feel a certain attachment to these characters. And that’s totally okay! You know their entire lives, how they ended up the way that they are, and how they’re going to develop moving forward. You’re naturally going to feel more sympathetic and understanding towards them. But we as the audience don’t have that privilege.

From an audience perspective, Milo killed us. Just as we were starting to get a solid foundation in this strange new world, and just as things were starting to go well with our chosen ROs, he takes that all away. And while I’m sure he has justifiable reasons for doing so, it’s still bound to ruffle some feathers. The fact that he remains so closed off and seemingly unapologetic over his actions doesn’t help things either.

I’m sure over time and with more context things will change, but until then I do think the hate (towards the character, not to you obviously) is a bit warranted.

And that makes perfect sense. I don't mind those opinions at all. That is the very logical area that everyone should be at. Others have uncovered some of the more secret scenes so I think they have a bit more context with Milo too and that makes sense that they are coming from a different source. This kind of response that you've given me is a well thought out and valid one. It's the people who get angry at me for not clapping them on the back and telling them how right they are, that I'm not really paying mind too. It's not helpful. It's not constructive. And really, what is the point?

But, on top of that, if people have started reading Book 2, there should be some understanding here that MC probably can't go the hate route without doing a lot of self hatred as well. I don't want to give that away because of spoilers but it is talked about several times with Pen. I can't help but wonder if people are still putting blinders up. I've gotten no anger towards MC and what they have done. Only what Milo has done. Never mind that the other characters have also done some pretty shady stuff.

Again, this type of conversation is warranted and I welcome these a lot more. The inarticulate hatred though? I don't file away those comments as being anything that reflects on my story or me as an author. I think those are a lot of just ignorant and angry souls who are using me as a vehicle for their own dissatisfaction in their day or life.
