the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again

I had a dream the other night that the current administration outlawed trans rights… unless you let the government completely pick your new name. If you let them give you a random keyboard smash of a name you had full rights, but a horrible or weird name. And no take backs lol, once the government named you you wouldn’t be able to change your name again. A lot of trans/nb folks were upset so a bunch of queer folks/allies decided to do it as well as a way to protest and show solidarity? Anyway, my little friend group went to our local court house and I was the first to go in for my name change. THE GOVERNMENT NAMED ME GAINGER NAYBELLE. Like, Danger Maybelle but not??? And I was absolutely horrified and when I told my friends they all refused to go through with it??? And I was stuck as Gainger Naybelle??? We got into a fight about activism and a trans family member told me he loved me but not enough to get saddled with a name like Gainger and that’s when I woke up 😂😂
