You didn’t know what to expect when you came home after work, especially not with Bill. He could’ve flooded your bathtub with rat sized spiders, or made your fridge grow legs just to tell you that you need to catch it, or even decide to decorate your house with portraits of morbidly disturbing subjects that get worse the longer you look at them.

Taking care a little baby triangle wasn’t easy as you couldn’t go to work without the little guy crying and reaching for you with his tiny hands in desperation, it broke your heart that you had to call in sick for the next couple of days as you tried to figure out what baby triangles liked to eat if they even eat at all.

Soon enough you found out that he didn’t like crust on his sandwiches after the first couple of times when he didn’t touch them, and after that you would always make sure that his sandwiches were crustless as to prevent your house being trashed during his little tantrums.

He still liked silly straws and wouldn’t drink anything at all unless it was through a silly straw, this was already well known knowledge as there was countless times where Bill would casually cause chaos and be found sat on some surface, sipping a drink through a silly straw as though he was watching a movie or a sitcom.

You even bought little outfits for him during this time too! Sure they were made for human babies but you didn’t care as Bill looked absolutely adorable in the unicorn onesie that you had albums dedicated to him and the outfits you bough him.

You had to wash him in the bathroom sink because you feared that the bathtub would be a bit too big for little bill and that was about as successful as giving a dog a bath, you had to case the floating baby triangle throughout the house before finally managing to catch him and drag him to the bathroom.

Baby bill clung onto you no matter where you went, as though he was scared to be apart from you and would even sneak himself into your hoodies, jackets, wherever he could fit himself in so that when you went to the shop, he’d poke his head out to smile at you.

You wanted to be mad at him but you couldn’t when he was so cute and so you gently reminded him that he couldn’t always sneak into your pockets and not expect you to experience parental adrenaline when you couldn’t find him nearby.

He pouted and looked saddened by this but you made it up to him by cuddling him and blowing raspberries on him, making him giggle.

You wake up to him sleeping on your face most of the time since he couldn’t sleep anywhere else unless he was near you, but you feared that you’d squish him by accident so you tried letting him sleep on your pillow, only for him to be found fast asleep against your face or your neck by the morning.

It was sweet while it lasted but it was only a matter of time before he reverted back to his usual sharp angles and chaotic self, so you valued all the time you had with baby bill to heart and making sure he had nothing but unconditional love and affection from someone who cared.

“Please?” You moved to stand face to face in front of your boyfriend, exaggerating a pout as you looked up at him with big eyes.

Hyunjin ran his comb through his hair, smirking at you with an amused glint in his eyes. “Are you obsessed with me, or something?”

“Yes, madly.” You reached up to put your hand on top of his, gently pulling the comb into your own grasp. “Now will you let me fix your hair, pretty please?”

Shaking his head, Hyunjin huffed out a laugh as he pulled you into a hug and kissed your forehead. “Of course, angel. It’s not like you’d accept ‘no’ for an answer, anyway.”

You squealed softly, pulling his hand and dragging him to the bed. You pushed him down on the mattress, leaving him momentarily as you rummaged through your dresser, pulling out your container of clips and elastic hair ties. Box in one hand and comb in the other, you moved to straddle your boyfriend as he leaned back against the wall.

As you gathered the strands of soft, black hair in your fist, combing it to make sure there were no tangles, Hyunjin brought his arms around your waist, pulling you closer to his chest. Your heart nearly skipped a beat at the action, making your breath hitch and causing a breathy giggle to escape your mouth.

“What’s so funny?” Your boyfriend asks, knowingly grinning up at you. A smile danced on your lips while you wrapped an elastic band around the ponytail on his head. You pulled back slightly to look down at Hyunjin. The led lights in your bedroom colored his face, showcasing his beauty in all the different hues.

“Nothing,” you reply. “You’re just so perfect.”

A blush crept onto Hyunjin’s cheeks as you reached into your box and grabbed an assortment of butterfly clips. You clasped them onto his hair, adding a pop of rainbow to contrast his dark strands.

Grabbing your phone, you snapped what seemed like a hundred photos before finally setting it aside and leaning down to give your boyfriend a sweet, loving kiss. Hyunjin tightened his grasp around your waist, hugging you tighter as he leaned up and pressed his lips deeper into yours.

You pulled away, a drunken smile fixed on your face, mirroring Hyunjin’s own. “So, how do I look?”

‘Painfully adorable,’ you wanted to say. ‘The biggest cutie pie in the world, just for my eyes to see.’ However, the words that left your mouth, though not completely unrelated, were not what either of your expected.

◌ with that being said, you two would end up gossiping for what feels like hours. though he grew up with all brothers, he definitely got his interest in gossip from eavesdropping on his mom and her friends.

“wait, so he’s dating her and her sister?” chris looks at you with a surprised expression. his elbows are propped up on each side of his pillow as his nintendo switch remains in the middle, paused on some sort of mario level.

“yes, but get this,” you grab your iced tea from his nightstand and scoot closer towards him. “he’s also dating her best friend. the dude is totally sleeze but hey, are we surprised?”

◌ and if you’re the type of girl to sleep with an emotional support / childhood stuffed animal and accidentally leave it behind, he’ll snatch one of matt’s stuffed animals out his room and hand to you.
