- i only realized racles’ plan right as dagdead put the power in his sword lol 😭 what a very cool plot twist

- racles and suzume actually flirting is CRAZY. the man is too good at acting tyrannical. also is that the one plan shuggodam royalty always has. “just act like a fake tyrant it’ll work out at the end”

- his goal has always been to make gira stronger i can’t do this anymore. i sobbed a littlw. what the fuck

- “i am weak. and a coward.” MOTHER HELP THE WRITING IN MY FAVE KIDS SHOW GOES A LITTLE TOO HARD

- parallels of them hugging from childhood and gira reaching out to catch racles. oh this series is out to hurt me

- “finally, it’s over.” racles uhhh sorry to say but we’re only at episode 42. there’s still 8 episodes left of the runtime

just watched the doctor slump show ep 12. omg the opening 4-way phone all. the double date. the bff breakup inciting incident. what a good episode. they should have made out after the pillow fight.

One of my biggest nitpicks in fiction concerns the feeding of babies. Mothers dying during/shortly after childbirth or the baby being separated form the mother shortly after birth is pretty common in fiction. It is/was also common enough in real life, which is why I think a lot of writers/readers don't think too hard about this. however. Historically, the only reason the vast majority of babies survived being separated from their mother was because there was at least one other woman around to breastfeed them. Before modern formula, yes, people did use other substitutes, but they were rarely, if ever, nutritionally sufficient.

Newborns can't eat adult food. They can't really survive on animal milk. If your story takes place in a world before/without formula, a baby separated from its mother is going to either be nursed by someone else, or starve.

It doesn't have to be a huge plot point, but idk at least don't explicitly describe the situation as excluding the possibility of a wetnurse. "The father or the great grandmother or the neighbor man or the older sibling took and raised the baby completely alone in a cave for a year." Nope. That baby is dead I'm sorry. "The baby was kidnapped shortly after birth by a wizard and hidden away in a secret tower" um quick question was the wizard lactating? "The mother refused to see or touch her child after birth so the baby was left to the care of the ailing grandfather" the grandfather who made the necessary arrangements with women in the neighborhood, right? right? OR THAT GREAT OFFENDER "A newborn baby was left on the doorstep and they brought it in and took care of it no issues" What Are You Going to Feed That Baby. Hello?

Like. It's not impossible, but arrangements are going to have to be made. There are some logistics.

Since we finished One Piece yesterday, we started Dungeon Meshi last night and I have to say, I'm loving it so far!

The emotional whiplash was real-

As a victim of this, I can testify.

Watching all of this show just for it to end at season 3 in the dub then to watch all of season 4 in the sub… the emotional damage was insane!

I cried when I thought Jaden died last year and then to find out that he survived!

Cause otherwise I wouldn’t be able to watch all of this show in the original. Last I stopped at was episode 113. My goal was to watch the rest of this series before I go back to college but I’ve been caught on other shows and other stuff.

But to me so far, the dub and the sub are two different shows…

Same protagonist and same characters but yet so different in storytelling and emotion. I guess that’s what happens when you watch the dub first before the original-

What a ride. It made me love the show and Jaden/Judai Yuki even more. I plan to finish it soon in the sub. I’m almost there.

The complete power move of the yugioh gx dub to keep the same theme song for 3 seasons. Didn’t matter people were ‘being sent to the stars’ and Jaden was entering his villian and than depression arc.
