The mage chuckled airily at the sudden uptick of intensity within Vladimir's words, he was used to Vlad's theatrics by now and this was nothing too out of the ordinary. He understood it well enough, and frankly the idea of Vladimir's watchful eye staying on him while he mindlessly listened to nobles drone on and on about their worthless accomplishments was comforting. While Robin had gotten used to the hedonistic tendencies of the masquerades and galas Vlad held it was still difficult to acclimatize himself within such a swarm of people. He had always preferred his time alone, skulking about Zaun and Piltover as though he had a personal vendetta, but within the near decade of being stuck within the Ionian wilderness something had changed within him. He didn't yearn for people, and certainly not nobles, but instead of having that steady feeling of disgust like he had before, it was now ... apprehension.

The sharpened smirk of his lover brought him from his thoughts, however, and he was quick to meet the hemomancer's narrowed gaze - some wickedness hiding behind the crimson tint of his iris while he stood there like some sort of heathen God overlooking a flock ready for sacrifice should they make the wrong move. Usually looking at the two, one would assume that the Crimson Reaper would have a firm leash on his beloved, but no - his bird fluttered in and out of its golden cage with no resistance - it had swallowed the key a long time ago. The mage was free; and may the Gods have mercy upon anyone who would try to harm him, lest they face the lash of Lord Vladimir himself. Robin found a grin had curled onto his lips while he drank in Vlad's handsome face, he did look incredible tonight - the deep sanguine brocades adorning him highlighted everything perfectly, and the steam of his coat articulated the curve of his shoulders to his waist. Perhaps Robin didn't want to leave this devil yet, but he had business to attend to; people actually expected him to speak to them now; although he really did to save his words and energy for the reaper.

A gentle hand found Vladimir's and he replied with an affectionate squeeze once their fingers were interlaced:

ok so none of them actually have pets but this is a fun hypothetical.

roxy would appreciate one that is low maintenance, low energy, and similarly independent. she's a cat person. i'm describing a cat.

kiyoe would probably have some super fancy exotic pet that she doesn't actually know how to take care of. a bird, maybe. really big bird

chifuyu would rip a stray dog from the streets and wash the dirt off of it with his tears and nurture it with bloodstained hands and feed it his very own rations. for normal reasons.

etsumi would probably only be able to take care of a hamster. they're tiny and short-lived. and she'd name it something like esmeralda

bunki would have like an elephant or whatever and he'd bring it everywhere and everyone would be like "wtf bunki it's stepping on that poor man" and he'd be like "shhhhh he's sensitive to sound"

a lot of people see akechi taking care of a cat, and i guess lysander counts as his pet (lol), but i think he'd really prefer a big dog of sorts. one that is loyal and unconditionally loving.
