Ooooof that Xmas shopping stress be hitting alongside that Black Friday Sale FOMO.
(More like…shit if I don’t buy it now am I going to regret it and have to pay more for it later?)
Which I know is the point and they do that On Purpose but still feels bad, man.
We are doing so much better financially than we ever have been but boy my hang ups are still there. Brain is still yelling at me “you spent HOW MUCH????? ON THINGS YOU DONT NEED?? IN 24 HOURS???”
But at the same time, were all gifts for very beloved people and purchases that DO make sense, whether steep discount (dive computer I couldn’t otherwise afford, will need for scuba and no longer have to rent every time I dive), things we’ll need anyway that we might as well buy on sale (Mike wetsuit, boots, firestick, surge protector, and Xmas lights) or normal thing people buy every day (red sneakers. On many sale. My gait is so damn hard on shoes) or just things that aren’t on sale that make sense- our passports, namely.
God I’ve chosen another expensive hobby that brings me worlds of delight.
Anyway, here’s WonderWald.

A blast from the past…
Dale Velzy, Hap Jacobs, Bill Meistrell and Bev Morgan show off their wares in front of the South Bay's Dive N' Surf Shop circa 1955.
Morgan was Velzy's first glasser to use sun cure resin. He invited Velzy to join him in his pursuit of the growing diving market, including the sale of rubber wetsuits, however, Velzy declined the offer stating that, "No surfer is ever going to wear one of those goddamn rubbers."
So Morgan moved on and started working with the Meistrell brothers to develop Body Glove wetsuits. He also went on to design and manufacture underwater photography equipment, life-support systems and also assisted with the development of the Purisima diving bell.

This weather-beaten structure is the Ama divers’ headquarters in Mie Prefecture. Salt encrusted huts like these were once an integral part of working Ama life, where the all-female divers could rest and socialize between diving for shellfish, seaweed, and pearls. The earliest records date the practice of Ama freediving to as early as 927 AD. Today, there are still Ama in Japan, though not nearly as many as there used to be. Ama were once the lifeblood of coastal communities, but since being superseded by new finishing technologies, their tradition is on the verge of dying out. Traditionally, these free divers wore tell-tale white diving suits, which were thought to ward off sharks, although modern Ama use wetsuits. Impressively, Ama divers working today still forgo air tanks, diving to the bottom of the choppy ocean on a single breath alone. Although Ama divers usually start working as young as 13 or 14 years old, they often continue well beyond traditional retirement age. Their vitality is often attributed to the special training they undergo for free diving. The friendly staffers at the Hachiman Kamado hut are all in their advanced years, and they still wear uniforms of their forebears. The Ama Hut Hachiman Kamado is one of the last vestiges of this unique tradition. Central to its work is an outdoor seating area and an indoor eating area where visitors can hear tales of the divers’ experiences over charcoal-grilled seafood. Working Ama catch everything on the menu; other trinkets and souvenirs are also on sale to help preserve the vanishing Ama profession.

From getting into the best scuba gear Sydney to explore the prolific marine environment of Sydney to diving with sharks, or snorkelling leisurely, or even an advanced rescue course, Sydney has everything that would suit all your needs. Here's a guide on how to get the most of your Sydney Diving Adventure.

Top Picks for Diving Gear in Sydney:
1. Dive Shops in Central Sydney - Most of the shops offer both rentals and sales, so you can rent it beforehand before deciding to buy it.
2. Local Dive Schools - They normally provide a package that includes pieces of scuba equipment if you enroll in their courses or join a dive tour.
3. Online Options - Check some online Sydney-based retailers when you prefer shopping from the comfort of your home, though make sure to know their size charts for not buying something which is going to be short of size.

Many dive centers offer shark diving excursions, giving adventurers the unique and unforgettable opportunity to swim beside some of the ocean's most majestic predators. Shark dive Sydney are normally conducted in captive environments for your safety, and you're guided through the whole process by experienced instructors.
Pre-Dive
You will receive an orientation that will cover such aspects as safety and what to expect on the day of your dive.
Close Encounters: Have an up close and personal encounter with Grey Nurse Sharks, Blacktip Reef Sharks and many more species from the waters of Australia.
Safety Measures: While sharks may send a chill down your spine, trained professionals adhere to the utmost safety for the tour.
Popular Shark Diving Spots

Bare Island - It is a marine-rich area with huge prospects for those seeking minimal structured experience.
Snorkelling in Sydney
Snorkelling Sydney could be an excellent alternative if you feel that scuba diving seems a bit too intense or you just want to experience something less serious. The coastal sites of Sydney offer crystal clear waters and vibrant marine life, which allow snorkelling in freely opulent scenery without the need to obtain special training.
Top Snorkelling Sites in Sydney:
1. Shelly Beach - Manly: An intact marine reserve, Shelly Beach is fantastic for beginners and for families.
2. Gordons Bay: Being rich in marine biodiversity, Gordons Bay is a snorkeler's paradise to witness octopuses, starfish, and other wondrous creatures.
3. Clovelly Beach: Known for calm waters and friendly blue groper fish, snorkelers are guaranteed fun at Clovelly Beach.
All snorkelling equipment can be hired from most dive shops around Sydney, so you do not need to go out and spend money on your own equipment.
Continue Your Education: Rescue Course in Sydney
For the person looking to increase skills and take on more significant diving responsibilities, the rescue course Sydney is a very rewarding option. That training course is appropriate for divers who are interested in adding to their set of emergency response skills and learning how to assist others.
What is a Rescue Course?
Self-Rescue Skills: You will first become proficient in your own self-rescue skills, including controlling your own buoyancy and dealing with emergencies.
Help Others: The course involves using real-life experiences, such as detecting a dive stress, doing rescues, and giving emergency oxygen.
Diver Rescue: This will encompass the mandatory skill set in taking care of an unconscious diver, making them safe with ascent and providing initial first aid.
Successful completion of the Rescue Course in Sydney will help create access to a whole new horizon of diving options while providing more confidence to rescue divers in trouble.
Plan Your Sydney Scuba Diving Adventure
For making the most out of scuba diving in Sydney, it is savvy to plan according to experience and aspirations. Whether you are obtaining your first scuba gear Sydney, booking a shark dive, snorkelling, or signing up for a Rescue Course, the underwater life in Sydney has something for everybody.
Today, Sydney is among the world's ultimate destinations for divers, snorkelers, and marine life enthusiasts. The area is exciting for all levels, from shark encounters that will give you an adrenaline rush to those that are serene enough for snorkelling in calm waters. Among the Sydney options, scuba gear, an unforgettable shark dive, and an underwater world that will astound you while snorkelling are not to be missed. I downloaded a free demo of Fae Farm, in my ongoing search for "games I might pick up someday if they go on sale."
I had no idea you could fall into the water.
Tumblr media
In Stardew Valley, you can't fall in the water.
In Animal Crossing, you can't even go into the water unless you have a wetsuit.
Literally the first thing I did in this game was fall off the pier like a fool.

Your Guide to Finding the Perfect Jet Ski for Sale
Are you ready to ride the waves and feel the thrill of the open water? Look no further than the exhilarating world of jet skis! Whether you're a seasoned water enthusiast or a beginner looking for adventure, owning a jet ski can take your aquatic experiences to new heights.
But with so many options available, finding the perfect jet ski for sale NZ can seem like a daunting task. Don't worry, though – we've got you covered. In this guide, let’s walk you through everything you need to know to make the right choice.
Tumblr media
Determine Your Needs
Before you start browsing for jet skis, take some time to consider how you'll be using them. Are you looking for high-speed thrills, or do you prefer a more leisurely ride? Will you be riding solo or with a passenger? Knowing your needs and preferences will help narrow down your options and ensure you find the perfect jet ski for your lifestyle.
Set Your Budget
Jet skis come in a wide range of prices, so it's essential to establish a budget before you start shopping. Consider not only the upfront cost of the jet ski but also ongoing expenses such as maintenance, fuel, and insurance. Setting a budget will help you focus your search and avoid overspending.
Research Different Models
Once you know your needs and budget, it's time to start researching jet ski models. There are several reputable brands to choose from, each offering a variety of features and options. Take the time to read reviews, compare specifications, and even test-ride different models if possible. Pay attention to factors such as engine power, stability, and handling to ensure you find a jet ski that meets your requirements.
Consider Buying New vs. Used
When looking for a jet ski for sale NZ, you'll need to decide whether to buy new or used. While a new jet ski offers the latest features and technology, a used one can be more budget-friendly. Just be sure to thoroughly inspect any used jet ski you're considering and, if possible, have a mechanic check it out to ensure it's in good condition.
Don't Forget Accessories
In addition to the jet ski itself, you'll also need to invest in some essential accessories. Items like life jackets, wetsuits, and tow ropes are crucial for safety and comfort while out on the water. You may also want to consider extras like a trailer for transporting your jet ski and a cover to protect it from the elements when not in use.
Shop from Reputable Sellers
When it comes time to make your purchase, be sure to buy from a reputable seller. Whether you're buying from a dealership, private seller, or online marketplace, take the time to research the seller's reputation and ensure they have a track record of providing quality products and excellent customer service.
Take Care of Maintenance
Once you've found the perfect jet ski and brought it home, don't forget about maintenance. Regular upkeep is essential for keeping your jet ski running smoothly and prolonging its lifespan. Follow the manufacturer's maintenance guidelines, and don't hesitate to seek professional help if you're unsure how to perform any maintenance tasks yourself.
Final Words
Finding the perfect jet ski for sale NZ doesn't have to be overwhelming. By following these steps and doing your research, you can confidently choose a jet ski that meets your needs, fits your budget, and provides endless hours of fun on the water. So what are you waiting for? Get ready to hit the waves and make unforgettable memories with your new jet ski!
