Rocketpunch Market boasted a variety of items for purchase, including but not limited to food, drinks, wetsuits and survival kits. Fuyuhiko walked past them, his hands stuffed in his trouser pockets as he skimmed through shelves in search of what he wanted. No, he didn’t want cola. And fuck no, he didn’t want milk. Admittedly, he paused when he sighted some packets of Karinto, but he turned his head away.
He couldn’t get sidetracked, not when he still needed to find the particular thing he wanted.
After a few seconds of standing still, he swiped a packet off the shelf anyway and continued down to the end of the aisle.
So far, it didn’t seem like the market stocked the thing he was looking for. Fuyuhiko came to a stop, clenched his fists and gritted his teeth. If they didn’t have what he needed, then whatever. He could improvise.
In another aisle were do it yourself items. Drills. Screwdrivers. Knowing Monobear, they were on sale in case someone wanted to build a deathtrap or gouge someone’s eyes out or something. He grimaced. As a gangster, such acts of violence were things he was used to, or at least becoming used to, but that didn’t mean he had to like it. Especially because any deaths would be because of that damn teddy bear.
His eyes flickered and he quickly found what he wanted. Not what he wanted originally, but his plan B. Duct tape. The roll he had before now had gone missing. He unhooked it and was about to go pay for it legally when someone called out.
“Oi, Kuzuryuu!” rumbled a voice. Fuyuhiko’s breathing hitched and he spun around. Nekomaru marched over to him, each footstep like thunder.
“Geez!” went Fuyuhiko, wincing. Not only did Nekomaru sound like thunder, but his face reminded Fuyuhiko of a storm cloud. “Have you got a foghorn for a voice box or what?”
“Me? No. Do you think I’m some sort of machine? I’m not a robot,” said Nekomaru. He put his hands onto his hips and peered down, towering over Fuyuhiko who shifted uncomfortably.
“What’s with that look?” asked Fuyuhiko.
Nekomaru was stony-faced. If looks could kill, this was it.
“What have you got there?” said Nekomaru, pointing at the duct tape in Fuyuhiko’s possession.
Fuyuhiko lifted it slightly and glanced at it. “This? It’s just some duct tape.”
“Kuzuryuu,” Nekomaru’s tone forced Fuyuhiko to meet his gaze and rendered him unable to look away, “I have noticed you’ve been quite breathless lately and sometimes you’ve been whistling when you do breathe.”
As hard as it was, Fuyuhiko ripped his eyes away from Nekomaru.
“So what? I’ve been running,” he mumbled.
“Now is not the time to let your stubbornness build a wall between us. Binding with tape is extremely dangerous,” said Nekomaru sharply, and Fuyuhiko stiffened. “Duct tape does not move with your body and it restricts your breathing. You will damage yourself by causing fluid to build up in your lungs, or even break your ribs or scar yourself!”
Fuyuhiko’s face burned. It was a surprise that he hadn’t melted into the epoxy flooring. He hunched his shoulders, glaring at the DIY items next to him. However, he hesitated when Nekomaru spoke next.
“I appreciate that it is difficult,” said Nekomaru, softer, and when Fuyuhiko peeked at him, Nekomaru’s head had tilted to one side. “As a world class coach, I have trained cisgender men and trans men, and I make it my priority to be as well-informed as I can. That is how I know about the harm you can do to yourself with unsafe binding. Did you not have a binder with you when you arrived here?”
“No...”
More specifically, Fuyuhiko only ever owned one binder, bought by Peko, but he hadn’t brought it with him when he woke up on the island.
Nekomaru folded his arms over his chest. “Though I’m doubtful Monobear would be too helpful, perhaps the rabbit could help...? No, I’m sure she will. She has been stripped of much of her magic, but she makes up for it with willpower and a love for her students. You could ask her, or if you wish, I can instead.”
For a few moments, Fuyuhiko was at a loss for words. He licked his lips subtly then cleared his throat.
“S-Sure,” said Fuyuhiko. “You can ask her. But don’t do it when I’m there!”
“Of course. And I’ll make sure I get some kind of result for you.”
No one spoke, or moved initially. Fuyuhiko wavered but he returned the duct tape to its hook. Nekomaru smiled and placed a hand onto Fuyuhiko’s shoulder.
“Resilience is a virtue of manliness, and you, Kuzuryuu, are a perfect example. I will summon her later,” promised Nekomaru in a warm tone, “but before I do, tell me... when and where do you want me to give it to you?”
A pause.
“I think... the old lodge will be fine,” said Fuyuhiko, and he flexed his fingers. “And... if you want... you can bring drinks too.”
He amended himself quickly.
“But no alcohol! Or milk,” added Fuyuhiko, furrowing his brow. “I’ll bring snacks, and we can... hang out or something. But after that, I don’t owe you anything.”
Nekomaru cracked his knuckles, grinning slightly. “As you wish. What time shall we meet?”
“Tonight,” said Fuyuhiko. He felt his face warm and rubbed the back of his neck. “Around seven. And...” A smile tugged at his lips. “... thanks.”

Sausalito AR Training, December 1998
A couple of weeks ago there was a thread about “Epic Training Adventures” on Tri-DRS. A couple of us too Epic training to heart and scheduled an incredible adventure that took place yesterday. This was the most training fun that I have had in a long time.
For those people interested in Adventure Racing, our training was based on a mini-adventure race – kayak, mountain bike and run.
7:30am – Paul Allman shows up at my house, and we pack up my truck with two mountain bikes, two large duffel bags full of gear and a pile of food. It is about 30deg F and raining. We wonder about the sanity of training in such conditions, but as fledgling adventure racers – “we live for adversity.”
7:45am – we are on the road. Looking up at the coastal mountains we are shocked. Snow. Yes, at about 2400’ there is a very clear snow line. Neither of us have seen snow on Skyline Road before. We laugh like mentally deranged children.
8:30am – meet fellow dead Craig Benson at his house in San Francisco. I have a small truck (Chevy S-10) with a standard cab. We put our gear bags inside trash bags to hopefully keep our stuff dry. Then we pack three bikes, three sets of gear and three men into my truck for the drive over to Sausalito – it is a tight fit in the cab of my truck.
EVENT NUMBER ONE – SEA KAKAKING
9:00am – arrive in Sausalito where it is brutally cold and there is at least a 20 mile per hour wind biting through us. The kayak guy wonders about our sanity an mentions that hail is forecasted. This is true adversity.
9:30am – there are five of us in three kayaks – two doubles and one single. I am paired with Rich, who looks like an adventure racer; tall, lean and unshaven. We put in and work on our paddle strokes. The key to paddling a double kayak is teamwork. After a couple of minutes we leave the harbor and enter choppy seas and a tough headwind. We reach an open section that feels like a wind tunnel. Rich and I bear down and paddle across. My wetsuit and spray jacket is keeping me plenty warm now that we are paddling hard and creating body heat. I have never been in such choppy conditions before. Craig is in the single kayak and almost gets blown over a couple of times. We cruise close to shore and ogle the mansions built with more glass than walls – can you say “real estate with a view.” In the sheltered areas Rich and I occasionally push the pace. When we are in synch we can really make that double kayak move. Unfortunately my hands are getting very tired from paddling when we head back to the harbor.
To get back we have to cross Richardson Bay, and we are paddling perpendicular to the current and wind. We get beam on in a couple of swells and the kayak rolls and dips but stays upright. We hit the beach in a few minutes and are greeted with snow flurries. Yes, it was snowing at sea level in San Francisco. Since we are no longer paddling, our bodies cool quickly in the wind, rain and snow, and we are soon bitterly cold. We return our kayaks and the kayak shop immediately closes due to “Adverse Weather Conditions.” I feel like I am taking part in an event that only a few people would even consider attempting.
kayak time – a little over 2 hours
12:00 pm - we change clothes from kayak gear to mountain bike gear. I wonder what to wear on the bike to prepare me for the weather conditions. I am a Californian who is not used to this type of cold. We eat a little, and fill up our water bottles. My Pringles go quickly.
12:30 pm - the start of the mountain bike. I am test riding a dual-suspension Trek that a buddy has for sale. It is my first time ever having suspension on a bike. We will ride a route that Craig uses often for training. The route goes up through the Marin headlands, down almost to the Pacific Ocean and back to Sausalito. Of course, it can never be as simple as "up, down and back home." The ride is more like up, up some more, look at the incredible view of San Francisco, down, up, keep going up, go up some more, go down, go down really fast, take a break, go up, shift down to your lowest gear, try to keep your front wheel from leaving the ground because it is so steep, look at the incredible view of the Pacific, keep going up, go up some more, take a break. Now we get to do a really technical downhill. We zip up and throw on another layer, then we point our bikes down, there are several jumps on the path I launch off of the first jump and scare myself silly, so I decide to keep both tires on the road. I start to get very hungry for solid food. I develop a craving for chicken fajitas. Ummmm, chicken fajitas on a sizzling cast iron skillet, wouldn't that be nice. Back on the mountain bike the trail twists and turns and is almost too much fun. Finally it is time for one long climb, one long downhill, one short climb on a road, and a downhill to our cars. The long climb and downhill go well, but I hit the wall on the short climb. Paul gives me some gorp and a Fig Newton which I inhale. After a short break to let the food work into my system we start paddling again, and about fifteen minutes later we are at our cars.
Verdict on the Trek - suspension is very nice, but this bike needs too many component upgrades in order to make it race worthy.
Ride time - 3 hours of actual riding and 3 1/2 hours of elapsed time.
4:00 pm - we refuel and consider our options for the run. Our fifth member, Jeff, has to leave, so the rest of us decide on a 1 hour run. It is incredibly cold in Sausalito with the wind blowing very hard. I change into my running shoes, but leave my tights, bike jersey, full gloves and arm warmers on. I also chose to wear what I would normally call my winter coat. I have never before done a run wearing an insulated jacket, but on this occasion I was very happy to have my coat.
We start running at a moderate to slow pace - probably about a 9:30 or 10:00min per mile pace. We fall into a paceline and trudge along. My fingers start to hurt as the blood starts to circulate in my finger tips once again. At the 30 minutes mark we turn around and start walking back. We start to run again and settle into a steady pace. My legs are very sore and I would rather walk, but it is only a few miles back to the car. We pick up the pace slightly in order to get the run over with. At best we were running 9:45 min/mile, but I am really pushing to even hold that slow of a pace. A few hundred yards away from the cars we stop running and walk it in.
It's over. In 7 and 1/2 hours we have accomplished a kayak, mountain bike, and run training day. I am very tired and very satisfied. Craig starts talking about hitting a bar to listen to his favorite ska band. I can only think of sleep, and Craig still has the energy to go grab a beer - I am not sure where he stores his reserve power.
We pack up and head home. I drop off Craig and Paul, and drop my gear off at my house. I have only one thought - food, specifically chicken fajitas which I have been craving for several hours now. I am sure that I was the worst dressed man in the restaurant, but those fajitas were delicious........
It was an amazing day. I look forward to training with this group in the near future.

Day 371
Saturday 6th February 2021
Yay - finally the weekend and honestly, it was one of the best Saturdays I have had in a while. I woke up with Benoit when he got ready for work and I went downstairs to make myself a tea, took my vitamins and did my 30 minutes of light thearpy treatment whilst I wrote my blog. Honestly it started me off for a good day. I felt happy and free to just do my own thing, and honestly it has been a while since I have been so positive so I made the most of it! After I wrote my blog, I did my workout, my normal 40 minute work out plus the 20 minute climbing work out which was really good. I then had a coffee, and got to work on my next project, sewing! I said to Pablo that I would make him the squabs for his van benches, I wanted to help out in some way and this is clearly something I could do. I called Nanie to order the foam filling and then got to work on designing the pattern, cutting out the pieces and sewing what I could together. I am waiting on the zips so I cant really do anything more for now, but I really enjoyed the few hours in the sewing room as it has been a while since I have done anything creative and I really enjoyed it. I also cut out what I could for my next project, I need to pick up a few more things for that, but it is another little toilet bag that I am looking forward to finishing! At around 2pm Benoit got back from work and we had lunch together. He finished off the pizzas and I had a salad, before we both tucked into some delicious treats that Joelle bought us from the bakery! Today was definately a day of sweets as I also ate a waffle that Paul bought from the market! After lunch, dessert and a tea to finish it off Benoit and I got ready to head into town. He heard that there are really good winter sales at a sports shop at Liege so we went there to check it out. I am still on the hunt for a big puffer jacket, but the only one we found was bright pink and not really my style! Then we went upstairs to look at the mens stuff, Benoit found a full length wetsuit which was 50% off and so decided to buy that and then encouraged me to try some on, as if we are going to live in Port Waikato/learn to kite surf/surf I will need a wetsuit, so with the good sales and some encouragement from Benoit about the future sports we are going to be doing, I too walked away with a wetsuit! A pretty one too! Completely the opposite of what we went in there looking for but just as exciting all the same! (note - a wetsuit doesn’t count as clothing so I could buy it guilt free) Then Benoit dropped me off at Maries house to do a work out and he headed to a friends house to workout on his climbing wall with Pablo. We each spent a few hours with our respective sports and it was good fun! Afterwards we all headed back to Pablos flat (which is not his flat anymore as this week he rented out his room and has moved to van life) but nevertheless we all met up there, Pablo cooked dinner and it was a good catch up. A really fun night!
One : English breakfast - it is one taste that will always remind me of mornings at home and that is something I am truely grateful for Two : Benoit - his encouragement to always try new things Three : Workouts with Marie, she is the one that got me onto the Les Mills workouts and it is always fun to spend and hour or two with her
Love Kate xxxxx

Wetsuit For Girls The proper And customized Resolution Of Swimwear
Because the world has developed through the years, folks are inclined to search for quality and branded merchandise. A wetsuit is a garment, which is often worn by surfers, divers and different people who are engaged in water sports activities. The wetsuit offers thermal insulation and buoyancy in water as a result of bubble of gasoline, which is enclosed within the fabric, whereas, the swimsuit is usually worn for swimming, diving, surfing and other actions; such as solar bathing. Flexibility and stretch: One in all the weather that the wetsuit has known as the hydrodynamics, which helps the go well with to slide via water at a minimum friction. Some wetsuit is having stretch panels in it that makes it stretchier because of the fabric on each sides of the rubber, i.e., inside and out of doors of the go well with. Thickness: Wetsuits are discovered in several thickness. If the swimsuit is really thick it can keep the wearer hotter but restrict the motion. Mobility can be restricted in a thick suit, because the thickness will enhance the dimensions of the suit and should turn into impractical, depending upon its utility.
Closures: For closure, zippers are often used or it gives an in depth fit on the ankles and waist areas. The zipper additionally providing leakage points for water. Sizing and match: A wetsuit needs to be correctly fitted. If the swimsuit is simply too tight then it can cause trouble in respiratory or motion and if it is simply too free, reduces the effectiveness of insulation. Wetsuits are made in several commonplace sizes, reminiscent of wetsuit for women, men, and kids. Many manufacturers present customized fitted suits for a greater fitting. Fabrics: The most common materials used in swimwear is nylon. It's lightweight and strong and fits the physique completely. If you have any inquiries relating to where and exactly how to use zentai spandex for sale, you can call us at our own website. The subsequent frequent material used is Lycra. It's having a fantastic match and elasticity nevertheless it is usually mixed with different materials, as it is not the most comfy fabric in excessive quantities. Polyester can be used because it has chlorine resistance and fade resistance properties. Drag lowering materials: This kind of a swimming costume can enhance performance for aggressive swimmers and Triathlon individuals. Extreme drag can slow down the participant and the bulkier the material will be the more drag it will create. Hygiene: On wet bathing suits; germs, micro organism and molds are inclined to grow extra quickly. Wearing damp swimwear for a very long time may cause infection and rashes amongst adults and youngsters. In this twenty first century, the place the technological development has nearly touched the zenith, persons are dependent on the web as the primary source of information and product. This technology usually prefers on-line advertising and marketing and hence if someone is on the lookout for a wetsuit for ladies or swimwear she can buy it on-line, with ease and consolation.
We put on either a bikini or regular undergarments beneath the suit. I am starting to line the entrance bodices of girls suits and am putting a shelf lining within the women's suits. None of them a full yard. All were nice quality. This one additionally purchased from ebay, was terrible high quality lol! The back is totally white! Its cute as may be, however its not the best quality. It might do finest as a scrunch top. I discovered this at Spandex World and was very happy with the standard. I discovered this at Stretch Home. I used to be very proud of the quality but was very displeased with how they handled the transport charge. I would simply get a invoice later. I ordered two yards, and the delivery was greater than the 2 yards cost! I wasn't very glad, as you can think about. Properly, that's all I can assume to place in here for the time being. I was inspired to jot down this after receiving the samples from The Fabric Fairy yesterday. My mind is tired! All those hyperlinks, photos, and tips! This has been my 'how one can' on shopping for swim fabric.
