@grimmswan Ooh, what a start!! I was really into your “Dracula in Storybrooke” one, but I hadn’t gotten to start this one yet!! And werewolf/wolf Killian is a particular weakness of mine, so I’m extra excited already!

This professor seemed especially creepy and cruel, so I’m glad Emma and Killian put a stop to his experiments before he could hurt anyone else. It was especially clever and satisfying to have him think he was stalking another pretty victim only to have Emma turn the tables on him and give him a taste of the fear he had caused so many others.

I’m definitely curious to see what the next case is going to be and to see where it takes our dynamic duo!

Vampire Emma and Werewolf Killian investigate, hunt down, and eliminate those who prey on the innocent and disturb the peace between the humans and the supernatural beings.

He watched from the shadows. Waiting for the perfect specimen to walk by.

Another lovely young lady to add to his collection. A beautiful woman to aid him in his experiments.

He was determined to find a way to turn people into mindless slaves. Beings of flesh and blood that could serve the wealthy and elite in much more pleasurable ways than any robot could.

He smiled in glee when he spotted her. A stunning creature with golden hair.

Her body was accentuated by a red dress that molded to her form. The corset was low cut and pushed up her breasts. The ruby pendant she wore further aided in drawing the eye to her chest.

 It was obvious she wanted to be desired. Everything about her appearance demanded attention.

This one he would keep for himself.

He tightened his black cloak around himself and drew out his syringe.

He knew he needed to be quick. Not just to inject her with the drug to put her to sleep, but to get her back to his lab before she wakes up and before anyone could see and interrupt his task.

Luck was on his side. There was no one around.

The heels of her shoes clicking on the stone paved walkway were the only sounds to be heard.

He crept behind her, as quickly and quietly as possible. Watching for any sign that she had noticed him.

Women such as her, who made their living selling their bodies, often kept a weapon on hand to protect themselves from customers who got too aggressive.

He needed to be careful to reach her before she could take out her dagger.

He raised his hand with the syringe, aiming for her neck.

Suddenly he found himself pressed to the wall of an alleyway. A searing pain coming from the gash in his arm.

Blood was spraying everywhere.

The syringe, along with two of his fingers and his thumb, were laying on the ground.

“You have been a very bad man, professor.” The beautiful woman smiled.

Shock made way for terror when he saw the sharp fangs.

He had made the mistake of following a vampire.

“Please.” He begged. “Don’t kill me. I can get you girls. Young virgins. I work for a school. You can have your pick.”

He nearly lost consciousness when his head was snapped back and struck on the brick wall.

“You were entrusted to educate those children. Not experiment on them and manipulate them.”

She turned to face the darkness.

 From it emerged the massive head of a wolf. Its fur was as black as an abyss and it’s eyes glowed a hypnotic blue.

 “Get his scent, my love. We need to destroy his lab. And I doubt he will be willing to tell us where it is.”

Too paralyzed by pain and fear, he could do nothing to defend himself from the creatures of the night. Even his screams were silent.

Carrying him as if he weighed nothing, they moved with great speed through the back alleyways.

The door to his lab was locked tight by a code box. He thought that they might ask him for the code. But as it turned out, they didn’t need to.

With one swipe of his enormous paw, the werewolf broke the box from the door.

The professor was laid on the table where he had performed experiments on his drugged and helpless victims. Now it seemed, he would be the recipient.

“Make no mistake; you are going to die. But my lover and I are being paid to make your end as slow and agonizing as possible.”

The professor could see the vampire's lips move, but could hear nothing except for the crash and clang of metal. 

The werewolf was literally tearing his lab apart.

He had a strong feeling he would be next.

Pained shot through him as the vampire broke every bone in his arms and legs.

“I’m not going to drink from you. You don’t deserve to feel my lips on your skin.” She looked at the beast. “But my lover will be hungry once he’s done with your machines.”

Sparks flew when the last of the monitors were pulled from the wall.

The werewolf then moved to the vampire, who looked at him with love and affection clear in her eyes.

The professor swore he could see that same love and affection mirrored in the beast’s eyes.

But that was impossible. Wasn’t it? The creatures of the night could not possibly feel love. And most certainly not for a being who was not of their own kind.

But the way the vampire stroked her hand through the fur of the werewolf made the professor question everything he had once believed.

He only had a moment to ponder this new information before he was filled with terror once again when he heard the vampire say,

“We should wrap things up here. I’ll send word that our task has been completed. You enjoy your meal.”

This time, the professor's scream was loud when a large muzzle and powerful jaws descended on him.

In the morning, passerbys noticed the lab door open. The remnants of the lab were scorched by a fire that surprisingly stayed contained.

“There must have been an explosion.” The constable proclaimed. “Whatever it was that the professor was working on got him killed and his lab destroyed.

“The constable is half right.” Nemo smiled, setting his Farnsworth tablet. A handheld device that allowed a being to see and hear whatever was transmitted on the frequency the machine was set on. “That evil professor should not have used his position as a teacher to experiment on children. It caused him to have an encounter with the best agents in the business.”

He looked up and grinned knowingly at the couple in his office.

The vampire Emma, and the werewolf Killian, were not only a deadly and attractive couple, but they were talented with investigating and solving the cases that plagued society.

“If the professor hadn't been done away with, it’s highly likely that his doing would have been blamed on a supernatural creature.” Killian said.

“The two of you have done an amazing job, as always.” Nemo praised. “Justice was served. The children are now safe. And the school can keep their reputation intact. They paid extra as thanks for ensuring the professor's death looked like an accident.”

“How generous of them.” Emma smiled. Knowing Nemo had probably insisted on the extra payment.

“It was well earned.” He took out some papers and handed them to the couple. “As will the money from this next case.” Turning to Killian he advised, “You might want to get some reinforce armor for your wolf form. There’s reports of a large creature terrorizing communities. Different towns, but residents gave the same description. It looks to be a werewolf. One that is using its form to scare people out of their wealth, and hide its identity. If anyone can put a stop to it, I know the two of you can.”

Run to Me (in the Dead of Night)

Hello Everyone!  I’m presenting the first installment of my second CSSNS offering: my werewolf MC.  The idea for this fic has been in my head a long time, but I really needed this event to finally make me put pen to paper and give it a try.  Though I love reading werewolves in stories, I haven’t really tried to write them myself before – so I hope I have done it justice.  Also, don’t think I’ve forgotten that this is a CS event, just because Killian doesn’t physically appear in this prologue.  You get a hint that he’s nearby, and I promise you’ll see him soon.

** Other things to note: Graham (and a few other characters from earlier in the show’s run) play larger parts in this divergence from early season two than they did in canon.  If it seems like there’s a lot of set up in this first bit, that’s why. I’m trying to explain how some of them are still around and how it fits together differently from canon. Basically – in most respects – we’re at very early season two, the curse has just lifted and everyone knows who they are again, except Graham is still alive (how gets answered as we go along) and Emma and MM don’t go through the portal to the Enchanted Forest.  Rumple never turns the wraith loose on Regina because Belle hasn’t been found; therefore the portal isn’t open for Emma to be pulled into.

I don’t hate Regina.  However, it did bother me that she never even had to apologize or show real remorse for what she did to Graham – nor did it makes sense to me that no one ever seemed to figure it out, even once the curse broke and they knew magic existed.  Since Graham is still around in this and has his memories, what happened comes out, and Regina does stay more of that conflicted, but still vindictive and dangerous, character we saw in season one and throughout season two.

I think that’s it for now…  I hope you will enjoy and come back next week.  I aim to post every Friday for the duration of the story, which as of now I am estimating will be around 10 to 12 chapters.

  ~~ prologue: leaves on the wind

           The crisp fall air of late September blew Emma Swan’s long, golden curls back over her shoulders and off her neck, tangling them together and causing a shiver to skitter through her as the chilly breeze of early evening glanced along her bared skin. Even as she clattered down the front steps of the diner, eager to get out of the rather close and over-warm space and the heavy, grease-scented air, she still felt it: the sense that had been following her around lately, more than any simple gossip or slander would account for, resting heavy on her shoulder, of being watched.  Glancing around the outdoor seating area of Granny’s and down the quiet main street, deserted but for a few leaves blown here and there and Marco tinkering with the sign that hung over the door of his repair shop and pausing on his ladder to offer her a friendly wave and doff of his cap.

           Emma tried to shrug off the troubling impression; eerie though it was, she wasn’t sure that it wasn’t just some manifestation of her own jumbled thoughts and fears, a tingling in her bones that had been discomforting her ever since the curse broke, almost a week ago now.  Willing her hard-earned nerve and bravado to reassert themselves, Emma rolled her eyes at herself and how she had just mentally referred to the curse that had changed everything she’d come to know on its head as casually as if it were laundry day or a trip to the movies – just a regular little life-altering occurrence – and gathered the still warm carryout bags Ruby had pressed into her arms just a moment before closer to her chest as she picked up her brisk pace down the sidewalk.  Something in her psyche wanted to kick her for running as she left Storybrooke’s most popular eatery behind her, but Emma honestly wasn’t in the mood.

           The tiny hairs along the back of her neck prickled as she crossed the opening of the alley between Gold’s pawn shop and the library.  She threw a glance down the dim space, but told herself to relax and blew out a frustrated breath before squaring her shoulders and moving on. Whatever sort of creepy premonition vibe she was picking up on lately, it simply had to be in her head.  For one thing, this was the smallest, sleepiest, stuck-in-the-eighties town ever; beyond fights at the local watering hold between whom she now knew were three of her mom’s dwarves and guys she had learned were Jack Sprat, Tom Thumb and a definitely not-so-little Jack Horner, and the occasional clichéd kitten up a tree, nothing ever happened here – or at least, nothing of the normal criminal variety.  Besides, she already knew who the supposed villains were – and she was well-acquainted with the fact that skulking around subtly wasn’t any of their styles.

Killian

Killian has been part of the rebellion for about 12 years? Id have to check but they've been there for a good part of Thier life. Found as a child in the arms of Thier dead brother, taken back to the rebellion to be kept safe. He sort of has parental figures at the camp one coming in the form of a guard of sorts, it's a bit of a long story that I'm not going to get into.

Killian's dealt with a lot since they were young, more than someone should have to ask a child. While it does have impacts on them they give their all to the rebellion wanting to give back to them after they save them.

This was essentially the state Killian was in after they were found by the rebellion. They used to have a twin and a couple of siblings of varying ages, they were the youngest. They were closest with their older brother however, as their mother didn't really give them much attention, too busy with their other siblings. Their brother though was their world, he gave them attention their mother didn't and used to play music and sing for Killian. Killian still has the instrument their brother used to play to them. ( I need to check what the instrument was I don't remember from the top of my head.)

The premise of this was so unique and it's blossomed into something that has been a pleasure to read--a story about found families, new beginnings, and hope.

Once Upon a Time : Captain Swan : Supernatural Steampunk AU

“This situation seems dodgy to me.” Killian observed, looking over the file. “These attacks seem too well planned. Too calculated. The residents, as well as the staff, were never in the house during an attack.”

Emma agreed with her partner.

“The beast destroys the door getting inside the home. Overturns and breaks several pieces of furniture. But is careful opening up cabinets?” She looked at Killian. “When we’ve had to force our way into places, you’ve never needed to splinter the entryway door. It’s like this beast is going out of its way to prove its wild and violent.”

Sensing there was more to this case than simply a werewolf on a rampage, the two thought it wise to go undercover.

By blending in and mingling with the types of people who were targeted, they hoped to discover the truth about the thefts.

But first, they needed to visit a friend who would fit them out with reinforced armor.

Love Bites

“I think you’ll like this.” August, the second finest craftsman in the city, held up a sleeve made up of copper and leather. “It will fit over your arm when you’re in your wolf form. This will give you an advantage over any opponent.”

The leathers would do well to protect Killian from an attack.

Sliding it on, Killian shifted, getting a feel of the fit.

“You look incredibly sexy.” Emma purred, running her hands over his leathers and chest. “You should wear these at home. We can break them in.”

“Not just yet, you two.” August said with a laugh. “We need to make a few more adjustments for the fittings to be perfect. The last thing we want is your armor slipping off during a fight.”

While Killian dealt with his armor, Emma looked around the shop

“Is the werewolf your lover?” Geppetto, August’s father, and the one who taught the second best craftsman everything he knew, asked.

“He is my mate. My husband. My partner in all of the ways that matter.”

“He will be eternally devoted to you. If you should ever take another lover, he would likely go insane, and become savage. He exists solely for you, now. If you grow tired of him, it would be better to kill him, than break his heart. I would advise caution.”

“I’m not foolish enough to ruin my own happiness. I know what I have. And I know I would never find anything better. Anyone who tries to come between my beloved and I should be the one to take caution.”

“No one will take you from me.” Killian growled, coming up behind Emma and wrapping her in his arms. “I have lost too much. I won’t lose you.” He buried his face into her hair, deeply inhaling her scent, seeking comfort.

She lifted her hand and stroked the side of his face. Turning her head toward him, she looked at him in adoration. “My beloved beast. We will destroy whomever is foolish enough to try to come between us.”

They paid the craftsmen for the items, then said their goodbyes. Eager to return home.

Love Bites

Emma sighed happily as she laid naked on the bed. Her lover, in his wolf form, hovered above her with blatant hunger in his eyes.

She widened her legs and stretched out her form, placing her hands above her head, allowing her lover full access to her body.

He licked a long stripe up her body. Starting between her legs and moving over her stomach and breasts.

"Oh Killian," she moaned, "I love your tongue."

That seemed to encourage him to continue licking her.

She loved getting him riled up, so that he would pounce on her and ravage her.

She also loved it when he would take his time and worship her body with his eyes, hands, and tongue.

Emma discovered that the werewolf’s libido increased with the approach of the full moon. Though there was never a night where Killian didn’t want her, he always needed her the week before and the week after a full moon. In the days surrounding the slimmest moon phases, he was not as desperate to have her and Emma was able to play with and tease him for much longer.

There were times he would not be able to control himself. His desire for her would cloud his judgment, making everything disappear save for the urge to press himself to Emma.

She had to laugh at times when she would be doing something as simple as taking a dust rag to a high reaching shelf. Just as she had stretched out her body, Killian would be right behind her, rubbing his prominent organ against her ass.

“Emma” He would groan. Panting heavily as he tore their clothes from their bodies.

Sometimes he would simply wrap his arms around her and hold her to him as he thrust into her. Other times he would carry her somewhere, so he could have more leverage.

Emma was certain that if she hadn’t been a vampire, she would have horrendous bruises all over her body from her werewolf lover.

She could honestly say she had never been happier in all of her existence. Every moment was filled with joy, and immense pleasure.

Well,,,almost.

The one thorn in her side was her ex, and sire, Neal.

They had only known each other a few months when he had turned her.

She had not consented to being turned. He had done it without her permission or informing her.

His motive? He had wanted to keep her young and beautiful forever.

He had assumed that she would stay with him. He had believed that she would be dependent on him.

He had been severely mistaken.

As a human, Emma had always been independent and resourceful. Being turned into a vampire did not change that.

It had not taken her long to figure out everything she needed to.

She had encountered another female vampire who had helped her adjust to her new existence.

Emma was in a junkyard, destroying everything as a way of stress relief.

The two had gotten to talking, and soon Emma had obtained a job dealing with nuisance to society.

Neal hadn’t liked it. Had repeatedly demanded that she quit, and return to him. That she owed him for the eternal life he had given her.

She had repeatedly told him that she wanted nothing to do with him. That she owed him nothing, except for a great deal of pain if he continued to bother her.

Neal had been especially livid when he discovered that she had been partnered up with a werewolf.

He had stormed into Nemo’s office, demanding that he fire Emma.

“As Emma’s sire, I have authority over her.” He stood as straight as possible to make himself appear taller.

He was still much shorter than the water demon.

“You have no power or authority over anyone. Even if I thought there was merit to your concern, I certainly wouldn’t dismiss the lady without reason. Sires only have influence over their progeny if the progeny has feelings for their sire. The laws of the vampires, and of the supernatural council make it clear; if Emma doesn’t want you in her life, then you won’t be in it.”

Neal was forced to leave. Obviously seething with anger.

He regretted turning Emma.

The strength of the mind, will, and spirit often lended to a vampire’s powers.

So though Emma was younger than Neal, she was stronger, faster, and more agile.

To put it simply, she was a more powerful vampire.

If he had kept her human, he would have had the advantage.

But he had feared her losing her beauty.

And now he had lost her.

But he vowed that he would find a way to make Emma obedient to him. 

And kill her werewolf lover.

He often said so right in front of them both.

Usually right before he ran away.

He was no match for Killian or Emma separately. Facing them together would be certain death for him.

They didn’t see Neal as a threat. But they also didn’t put it past him to find something that he could use to gain an advantage.

Killian Jones is a werewolf you see, and the unsuspecting lass has landed herself deep in werewolf country on the cusp of the first night of the full moon. Knowing he must get her on her way for her own safety, Killian offers to fix her vehicle, but things go awry in town when another wolf attempts to stake a claim on the stunning stranger. Now Killian must do all he can to protect the woman, Emma Swan, from a vengeful pack, all while keeping his true nature a secret from her. Turns out, Killian Jones is no ordinary werewolf.

Those of y’all who had a tough time picking between Team Edward or Team Jacob need not look any further because this fic has both vampires AND werewolves! This fic was really hot and you get some human Emma+supernatural Killian dynamics which is just all the more hotter lol.

Since the whole purpose of this event was to bump up the number of werewolf and vampire CS fics, and I'd already posted a werewolf fic this year, I came up with a fic that I thought the original Dracula was kinda about. Turns out that I was very wrong. But anyway, it was a lot of fun to write.

HOWEVER, she did make art for them all and shared a snippet of where she wanted to go with each one. Our last fic of the event, Scattered Earth (Mortua Terra), posted just yesterday. Real life intruded and kept @dykelilypage from finishing her fic until last week, but I told her that if she could get it in before I posted the roundup, I'd still include it, and boy did she deliver!!! 12 (Actually 13) Days of Captain Swan Fic Recs!!!

So a week or two ago, @hollyethecurious floated this idea about the 12 Recs of Christmas in order to rec your very favorite fics that new shipmates may have missed and to show authors holiday love. Of course, I literally cannot rec only twelve fics, so I've played with the rules a bit in order to rec favorite authors and fics. Sorry, not sorry, Hollye...

Now, the problem with 12 days is... it's only 12 days. So I had to severely limit myself... And, yeah, you might have guessed, I couldn't limit myself to twelve either. So you'll be getting 13 days. Sorry, not sorry, again...

All that said, the authors and fics I'll be reccing over the next twelve thirteen days are my comfort fics that live rent free in my head and that I go back and reread over and over and over and over again. The ones I couldn't live without if I were stranded on a desert island and could never read a new CS fic ever again. So I hope you enjoy this kinda drawn out fic rec list.

A Mutual Craving - Rated E - The Underworld was one of the seedier, less reputable establishments, even by black market standards. Every facet of the criminal element could be found here on any given night, engaging in all kinds of illicit activities. From the more mundane transactions, like drugs and conventional weapons, to the really shady and oftentimes dangerous dealing of occult, mystic, and poached items of a supernatural nature. Emma Swan was here for an altogether different reasons, however. She was casing the joint. Too bad all her research and intel had failed to prepare for an unusual security measure she had not planned for. One with pale skin, sharp fangs, and a thirst for blood. Her blood... and her body as well.

All of Hollye's fics are fantastic, but these are the ones that I couldn't live without and like I said, live rent free in my head 24/7. I hope you enjoy all these as much as I have!! See you tomorrow!
