ooo and 5 please! who's saying fuck no about what??
This waaaas a werewolf oneshot I was playing with, separate from Hungry. It features a transmasc Gareth, protective Eddie and Steve, and a personal favorite, Secret Berserker Jonathan Byers.
This was another oneshot that is made entirely of various scenes, so I wrote a quick introduction here to it. It wouldn't make a lick of sense otherwise lol.
(Similar to Hungry, we're playing with dominant/submissive werewolves. Think Patricia Briggs and Ilona Andrews & how they run their werewolf stories based on super outdated but very fun concepts of real wolf packs lol. I have my own little modern twist on them, but there's a difference between a social work/school friend group "pack" and a Wolf Pack TM. )
Snippet
Hellfire won't be out for another few minutes, but neither Steve or Jonathan talk much as they wait.
It's a peaceful kind of silence they share, particularly between two people who aren't friends, but ended up as family anyway.
Which is why both startle hard when the doors to the school slam open.
One of Munson's wolves storms out, looking over his shoulder instead of ahead. "What part of fuck no don't you get!?"
"Come on." Wheedles another voice, and Steve and Jonathan both watch as a sandy haired boy in a letterman jacket pursues the first.
Slowly, casually, and with the air of a predator.
"Don't fight it so hard, baby!" The harassing party coos, in a smug mimic of Danny Zuko.
"Do not call me that." Munson's wolf--Steve can't recall his name but he thinks it starts with a G-- whirls around.
The guy seems to be made of both fury and anxiety, backing away even as he spits and snarls--though his actual emotions are hard to get a read on given he's drenched himself in scent-neutralizing cologne.
(Steve almost sneezes when he scents it, but manages to keep himself together.)
The Hellfire kid's putting up a fight, but its clear from the way he holds himself that he’s a more submissive wolf--and a bad match to the dominate one chasing him.
Jonathan tosses a glance at Steve.
"I'll call you whatever I like." His pursuer tells him, a smile unfurling on his face. "Especially after I make you my bitch."
Steve shoves off the car the same time Jonathan does, but he ends up being the first to the scene, surging forward to step in-between the two.
Hardened battle buddy he is, Jonathan takes this as his cue to fall in behind him, sticking near Munson's wolf.
"Andy." Steve identifies, voice cold. "What the hell do you think you're doing?"
"Harrington?" Andy replies, thrown off his target and showing it. "What are you doing here?"
"Putting you in your place, apparently."
Andy's head snaps back, eyes narrowing in mounting rage.
"Excuse me?"
Steve cocks his hip, hands on his hips.
"Not until you swear off hunting down submissive wolves, you fucking walnut."
"That isn't what this is, Harrington. Mind your business."
He makes to go around Steve, and finds the older wolf won't let him.
"I told you to back off." And the voice Steve speaks with then, is different.
Weighted.
Steve's wolf is the dominant party here, and he's making Andy feel it.
Andy growls at him, an inhuman sound, eyes darting from Steve, to Jonathan and back.
He's outgunned and he knows it.
Tension grips them all as Andy meets Steve's eyes in challenge, before clearly thinking better of it.
He drops his head, stepping back.
"Fine. But I'm not giving up, Grace. We're doing this, sooner or later."
"My name is Gareth." Munson’s wolf snaps, and Steve knows Jonathan will hold him back if he tries to escalate things,
Submissive has never meant unable to fight, after all.
Steve keeps an eye on Andy as he retreats another step, and it's all too clear he wants a parting shot.
"Now we both know that's not true." He says, and Gareth hisses like a kettle, fury emitting off him in choked waves.
Steve clears his throat in warning--he's done playing here, and no matter how much he hates fighting, his wolf has no such qualms.
Andy's eyes dart to him once more, before he whirls around on a heel and storms back through the school doors.
Right in time to plow through the rest of Hellfire.
"Get out of my way, freaks." Andy spits, shoving his way through.
Will yelps in surprise, caught off guard and off balance, falling back into the lockers with a crash.
His head smashes against metal and he slumps for a moment, stunned.
Mike and Dustin both turn to shout at Andy, Lucas slotting himself to Will's side and trying to get a look at his head.
Behind Steve, Jonathan's eyes go dark.
Munson and Gareth both choke as power floods the parking lot, bloodlust pouring off the elder Byers in waves.
He knifes forward, past Steve, hands blurring in a slurry of shifting muscles and bone until his fingers elongate into sharp, wicked claws.
It's a controlled change, a feat very few can accomplish--and a deadly one, given Jonathan's reacting out of instinct than anything else.
"Jon." Steve calls, power ringing out from his voice.
(Can see, from the corner of his eye how even Munson, the second most dominant wolf present, flinches from it in surprise.
Steve isn't. He might be a trash fighter, too worried about preventing injuries to inflict them, but his wolf doesn't share the same sentiments.
It's not a disconnect. Rather, it's an agreement he has, with his wolf half, and it serves them very well.)
Jonathan freezes, and it's immediately clear by how tense his muscles are that he's not doing it on his own.
That Steve's using his position in the Pack to hold him, magic and Pack bonds pulsing between the two.
"Steve." Jonathan warns, all too calmly.
Steve's wolf doesn't rise to the challenge. Doesn't consider it a challenge, even if most wolves would.
Amber pours into Steve's pupils, the mark of the two halves of a werewolf blending themselves together.
Just as Jonathan did.
"Check on the kids." Steve and his wolf say together.
Jonathan's face twist in a snarl as his body shudders under the command.
"Fine." He says after a beat, and Steve's Pack magic releases its hold.
Jonathan's hands twist again, bloodlust fading from his scent, frantic energy draining from the air like a hole punched into an inflatable pool.
"I'm fine." Will calls out to him, and Steve eases himself back into his own natural state, the threat of Jonathan murdering Andy neutralized.
He turns to check back in on Gareth, and finds the younger wolf has pressed his face hard into Munson's shoulder.
"He okay?" Steve asks.
It's redundant because of course Gareth’s not okay--but that's not the question he's really asking.
What he's asking, is if Eddie has Gareth.
Steve has never quite been sure of Munson’s pack status--he knows some clubs and friendships are closer than others, and many can act similar to how Steve’s own capital P Pack does.
Knows through the kids that Munson runs his group more similar to a proper pack than your normal little high school friend group.
That does not mean Gareth will get the care he needs right now, hunted down like he had been.
"Yeah." Eddie says, understanding relayed in a nod. He turns his gaze to the right of Steve's face, the polite thing to do when two dominant wolves to interact. "Harrington, we need to talk."
It's in a tone that'd normally have Steve's hackles up, but given what's happened, Steve soothes down his wolf.
Follows when Eddie gently pulls away from Gareth, handing him over to a teen Steve is pretty sure is named Jeff before edging Steve away from the crowd.
"Can you tell me what Andy said to him?" Munson asks, and his tone is odd.
Off slightly, like he's trying hard to be extra careful.
Steve chooses not to read into it.
"He called him names. Bitch and baby. Said Gareth shouldn't fight him so hard."
Eddie stares at him then, eyes burning into Steve's own, and Steve's wolf itches under his skin at the audacity of it.
"Anything else?" Eddie demands.
"He said he wasn't hunting, that it wasn't what it was."
Munson frowns. "No, did he call Gareth anything else?"
Steve's dropped the polite urge to keep his eyes averted, now staring dead into Munson's eyes, unable to ignore the direct challenge offered in it.
"He called him Grace, but I figured that was just another insult."
Steve’s voice is clipped. He’s not eager for a fight, particularly not against the guy the kids won’t shut up about, but his wolf is already closer to the surface than it usually is.
Munson stares at him for a moment longer.
"Think you and Johnny boy over there can keep that last bit to yourselves?"
It's too much like a command, a threat of force in Eddie's voice that's backed by hints of his own wolf shoving forward.
The Steve of old would have been downright violent when faced with that.
The Steve of now, the one who'd gone three rounds with the Upside Down; who sat drugged out of his mind in a bathroom while Robin confessed to liking Tammy Thompson and then looked at him like he might kill her for it, keeps himself in place as he looks Munson over.
He’s not imaging it, there is a challenge there--but Steve pauses to think about what he’s being challenged over before he responds.
How Munson isn't so much focused on Andy, as he is on the name he'd called Gareth.
His eyes flick over to find the younger wolf staring right at them.
The guy’s arms are wrapped tightly around the middle, a poorly hidden tremble rolling through his body.
Steve hadn't taken Andy's words at face value but Eddie’s request reframed things in his head, and he’s silent as he works out why, exactly Gareth's name matters so much.
No wonder the kid had drowned himself in that awful, scent neutralizing cologne.
"Yeah. I'll make that happen." Steve agrees, his words heavy with promise.
"Thanks." Eddie inclines his head.

Hungry like the Wolf
A Stoncy fanfiction
Tumblr media
A/N: I've been working on this for a while, I'm hoping it's just a two parter.
Part One
Fall
August 30th, 1985, Around Midnight
The full moon would be here soon, Steve thought. It would be his second time transitioning in the privacy of Hopper's rundown cabin. . .second time turning all together. It was the only place he could turn without worrying about anyone walking in on him. At least, he got to keep mind during the transformations, he thought, but it was going to hurt. Steve’s eyes watched the clock on the wall. . .the hands ticking by slowly.
Tick. . .tick. . .tick. . .tick. . .okay, here we go. . .
Steve had already shed his clothing, so when he started to turn, he was already naked. He got down onto all fours as he body began to make the necessary adjustments to turn him into a wolf. He couldn't help it when his bones began to shift. . .when they cracked and bent, Steve Harrington screamed. He could hear Robin and Dustin from outside, whispering to each other. They both insisted on being there to help him through it, even though he insisted he was fine, but he had to admit, it made it easier.
"It's alright, Steve," they whispered to him. "We're here."
Finally, Steve made it through the horrifying ordeal with the full moon now hung high in the sky. He padded over to the broken mirror. Hazel green eyes now with flecks of yellow. His chestnut hair was still perfect as usual, and he had to admit he loved the fact that it was all over his body. He also loved his fluffy tail. He grinned, his pink tongue rolling out in a pant, as he wagged said fluffy tail. Yeah, he was a handsome wolf. He headed towards the door and pushed it open with his paws. Paws that were as big as his hands. Robin and Dustin gasped at the sight of him, just like last time. He jumped off the porch and started bouncing around them in excitement. Their giggles only encouraged his behavior.
"Hey, buddy!" Dustin grinned as he patted Steve’s back. "I got something for you."
Steve leaned forward on his front paws like he'd seen dogs do, his butt high in the air as he wagged his tail. Dustin pulled a yellow tennis ball out of his pocket. Steve sat on his butt with a huff and gave Dustin a look that said he wasn't impressed.
"I told you he wouldn't find it funny," Robin laughed.
Steve stared at him before jumping up and nudged Dustin's hand before jumping back to wait.
"See? He wants me to throw it," Dustin said.
Dustin threw the ball as far as he could. Steve practically flew through the air as he chased after it. Steve panted, enjoying the rush he felt, the adrenaline, and goddamn. . .He had run faster than he had ever done so as a human. He grabbed the ball to rush back to Dustin when he got a sent in the air. . .two of them. They were far but not that far off, and they were calling to him. Steve dropped the ball and chased after the scent.
"Steve!" He heard them call from behind him, but he ignored them.
The trees, the bushes. . .everything rushed by him in a blur as he raced towards the wonderful smell. There was no way that Robin and Dustin would be able to catch up to him. He was lost in the scent. Finally, he skidded to a stop near. . .Skull Rock? That's when Steve hard the voices. Steve walked through the trees and peered through the branches to look at the couple who arrived. Shit. Nancy and Jonathan at Skull Rock? Steve sniffed the air. The smell was coming from them. He didn't want to eat them. He just wanted to be around them. . .be closer to them.
"Nancy, did Steve take you here?" Jonathan asked.
"Once or twice, and I really wanted to take you here before you left," Nancy said.
"I don't know. . .isn't it weird to bring me to the same place that Steve has been?" Jonathan asked.
"Well, by that logic you shouldn't have fucked me," Nancy said in amusement and put her hands between her legs. "Steve’s been here, too."
"That's, uh, different," Jonathan said.
"Is it, though?" Nancy asked.
She pushed Jonathan up against the rock, kissing him. Suddenly, Steve felt awkward about watching them. He had to let them know he was there or otherwise he would be pulling a Jonathan. Although, what were they doing here in the middle of the night? What was that about Jonathan leaving? Steve shook his head, barked, and bounded through the trees, making himself known. They jumped apart pretty quickly.
"Oh, a dog! He's beautiful," Nancy said.
Steve grinned, opening his mouth and letting his tongue roll out. Nancy was about to approach him when Jonathan pulled her back.
"Nance, that's not a dog. That's a wolf," Jonathan said.
"Jonathan, don't be ridiculous. There aren't any wolves in Hawkins," Nancy replied.
"Yeah, and up until a couple of years ago, we didn't know there was another world under Hawkins either," he pointed out.
"That's true," she said, frowning, and then she smiled. "Well, he looks like a very friendly wolf."
Despite Jonathan's protests, Nancy approached Steve. She held out her hand for him to sniff. Steve did so and also gave her fingers a few licks. Nancy giggled before placing her hand on his head and petting him. Steve leaned into her touch, enjoying the feeling of her fingernails dragging gently through his fur and lightly against his skin. Nancy sat on the ground, letting Steve rest his head on her knee.
"Nancy. . .," Jonathan said softly.
"Come here and pet him," Nancy said. "Please?"
Jonathan sat down next to Nancy and ran his fingers through his coat. Steve looked at Jonathan, studying him. He should hate him. . .but he can't seem to find it in his heart to do so. Steve knew that Nancy and Jonathan never intended to hurt him, yet they did. Looking at Jonathan, it was weird because there was a part of Steve that wished that he would look at him in the same way that he looked at Nancy. He just wanted Jonathan to see him, to see that he does care.
"He does have a beautiful coat," Jonathan said and paused. "I miss Chester."
"Let's take him back to your house," Nancy said. "We can take care of him."
Steve raised his head up. He liked where this was going. . .he wanted to be around them more but he also knew it wasn't a good idea.
"And sneak him past my mother?" Jonathan asked.
"She's going to be asleep, Jonathan," Nancy said.
"And what about in the morning?" Jonathan asked.
"We'll sneak him out before she wakes up," Nancy said. "We both could use the comfort of a warm, cozy animal."
Steve knew that he should leave, but he was also hungry. His stomach gave him away.
"You hungry, boy?" Jonathan asked.
Steve licked his lips and then Jonathan's hand.
"I think that's a yes," Nancy giggled. "Come in, we should give this handsome guy some food."
"You know. . .there's something familiar about this wolf," Jonathan said.
"I was thinking that, too," Nancy said and stroked the top of his head. "He reminds me of Steve."
Steve sat up at attention, looking at them in surprise.
"What word got your attention, buddy?" Jonathan asked. "Steve?"
Steve cocked his head to the side and stood up completely.
"I think he likes that name. Do you want that to be your name?" Nancy cooed, scratching behind his ear. "Steve?"
Steve closed his eyes and leaned into the scratches. No, he should really get back to Dustin and Robin. But he wanted to be with Nancy and Jonathan even more. . .ugh, those scratches felt delightful.
"Come on, Steve," Jonathan said and grinned. "I guess I can't say no to you or Nancy. Let's get you something to eat."
Food. Steve’s stomach growled. Well, a guy has to eat. He followed Jonathan and Nancy back to Jonathan's car, hopping quickly into the backseat when Jonathan gestured for him to do it.
"He listens well," Nancy said. "He's pretty smart, too. He seems domesticated. Do you think he belongs to anybody?"
"He's a wolf, Nancy," Jonathan said. "I doubt anyone in Hawkins is keeping a wolf as a pet."
"Up until two years ago, we didn't know there was another world under Hawkins," Nancy said, mocking Jonathan's voice.
"Okay, okay, maybe he does," he said. "And I don't sound like that."
Steve snorted.
"He's laughing at you, babe," Nancy said. "I think Steve agrees with me."
"He's a dog," Jonathan rolled his eyes.
"He's a wolf," Nancy said in the same mocking tone, and Steve snorted again. "Yeah, he's definitely laughing at you."
Jonathan snuck Steve and Nancy through the back door, checking first to make sure that his family was asleep. Jonathan chopped up leftover pork chops into a bowl and placed it on the floor in front of Steve along with a water bowl. Steve gave him a doubtful look. He's had Nancy and Joyce's cooking before.
"Don't worry, Jonathan made it," Nancy said.
"Like he knows that you and my mother are terrible cooks," Jonathan whispered.
"I think he does," she said in amusement when Steve started to eat.
Once Steve ate and got some water, he headed off towards Jonathan's room. He needed a nap. . .just a little one, and then he'll go.
"Hey, come back here," Jonathan whispered.
Steve nudged Jonathan's door open, hopped on the bed, and made himself comfortable right in the middle. He rested his head on the pillows and made himself as small as possible.
"Aw, look he's tired and he made room for the both of us," Nancy said.
"How did he know this was my room, anyway?" Jonathan asked.
"Probably by smell," Nancy replied. "Come on, Steve has the right idea."
Steve heard them close the door and then dress down before slipping into the bed on either side of him.
"We're sleeping with a wild animal, Nancy," Jonathan said.
"And aren't we lucky?" Nancy asked.
"We probably should have gotten him checked out first," he said.
"Probably, but we've already interacted with him so. . .," Nancy said. "Would you rather sleep with human Steve?"
"Yeah, because at least there's a chance that we'd have sex," Jonathan said and Steve's ears perked up.
What?
"Oh, there's plenty of time for that," Nancy said.
"When are we going to tell him?" Jonathan asked.
"Soon," Nancy muttered. "I just need to figure out what I'm going to say to him, first. It has to be perfect."
Steve looked at her confused before laying his head back, breathing heavily. Even though he wanted to ask her what she meant by that, he couldn't. Steve closed his eyes. He felt like he should be doing something.
"Good night, pretty boy," Jonathan whispered.
The next morning. . .
Nancy could feel the sun against her eyelids, and she did not want to open her eyes. She reached a hand out and smiled, feeling Jonathan's skin against her hand. She loved it when he didn't wear a shirt to bed. Nancy moved her hand down his back and frowned. That didn't feel like Jonathan's back. . .that felt like. . .Nancy's eyes snapped open and came face to face with a sleeping naked Steve in Jonathan's bed. Nancy gasped.
"Nancy?" Jonathan asked sleepily and sat up, rubbing his eyes. "Is something wrong?"
"Uh, Jonathan, open your eyes and look down," Nancy said.
Jonathan looked down and stumbled out of the bed when he saw Steve laying there.
"When did Steve. . .what the fuck?!" Jonathan exclaimed.
Steve yawned and stretched, sitting up. He blinked sleepily at them.
"Good morning," Steve said.
"Steve. . .how. . .how did you get here, and why are you naked?" Nancy asked.
"Don't you remember? You brought me here," Steve said, rubbing his eyes.
"We brought home a wolf last night, so, unless you can turn into a wolf. . .," Nancy said.
That's when Steve really woke up. He cursed and moved to the end of the bed, pooling the blankets around himself.
"Shit, I wasn't ready to tell you guys yet," Steve cursed again. "I knew I should have gone home last night. You guys just smelled so good. Not like, I want to eat you, but like, I just want to be around you more."
"You can turn into a wolf," Jonathan said dumbly and plopped down beside him.
"Since when?" Nancy asked, moving to sit beside him as well.
"Since Starcourt," Steve said. "The stupid Russians wanted to make me obedient, but even they didn't know what they gave me. I guess they translated the message left behind wrong on whatever they found, and instead of studying it, they decided to shoot me full of it. I was certainly surprised when the first full moon came, and I transformed. Robin and Dustin happened to be spending the night at my house when it happened. It hurt like a son of a bitch, still does, except not so much apparently when I change back."
"You should have told us," Nancy said.
"What could you have done?" He asked. "There's no way to stop the pain, and I doubt there's a cure."
"We could have been there for you," Jonathan said and placed a hand on Steve’s shoulder.
Suddenly, the door burst open, and Joyce came in. She froze at the sight of a very naked Steve sitting between a shirtless Jonathan and Nancy, who was only wearing Jonathan's shirt.
"I heard voices. . .I thought you said that you were going to be out all night," Joyce said.
"Change of plans," he said sheepishly. "Mom, this isn't - ,"
"Oh, honey, I'm happy with whatever makes you happy, and he's just another person to love you," Joyce said. "No judgments from me."
"Mom!" Jonathan exclaimed. "No, that's what - he was a dog last night!"
"Oh, Jonathan, I'm supportive, but I don't need to know the details or what positions," she replied.
Jonathan glared at Nancy and Steve when they laughed.
"Mom! I swear this isn't what it looks like!" He protested.
"Oh, sweetheart. . .if you're not ready to tell me. . .you know, sometimes, I sleepwalk, and I don't remember a damn thing when I do," Joyce said and left the room, closing the door behind her.
Nancy and Steve collapsed in a fit of giggles.
"I hate you," Jonathan laughed.
"Shit!" Steve cursed, sitting up. "Dustin and Robin!"
A while later. . .
Jonathan and Nancy pulled up to the cabin, Steve rushing to get out of the car. He was in a pair of Jonathan's sweats and a t-shirt. They didn't quite fit, but it was enough. Robin and Dustin burst out of the cabin. Their eyes were red from crying.
"Where the hell were you?!" Robin yelled and threw her arms around his neck.
"You scared the hell out of us," Dustin said. "Never do that again!"
"What the hell happened?" Robin asked.
Jonathan and Nancy got out of the car, leaning against it, watching Robin with her arms still wrapped around Steve. He quickly explained to them what happened and profusely apologized for it, pulling Dustin into the hug as well.
"Well, we got you food. . .it's nothing but eggos, so you're just going to have to deal with that. . .asshole," Dustin said affectionately.
They stormed back inside, with Dustin coming up with theories about why Nancy and Jonathan smelled so good to Steve. He was about to follow them when Nancy pulled him back.
"Steve. . .you and Robin. . .," she trailed off.
"How close are you?" Jonathan asked.
"Oh! Robin and I are just friends. . .platonic with a capital p!" Steve exclaimed with a grin.
"And you're sure about that?" Nancy asked.
"Yeah, why do you ask?" Steve asked.
"No reason," Nancy and Jonathan said together.
"So, uh, I didn't think to ask," Nancy said. "But do you want to find a cure?"
"I know that it's probably strange. . .but not really. I'm no longer partially deaf. My eyesight is better than ever, as well as my other senses, and I'm really strong," Steve said. "For the most part, I'm in control of my abilities. I really like it even though I've only transformed twice. . .there's a certain freedom in running as a wolf under the moonlight. . .through the trees. . .it's hard to describe how amazing it is."
"You said that it's painful to transform?" Jonathan asked.
"Yeah, that's the one thing that I wish I could change, but other than that," Steve said, smiling. "There's nothing like it."
"So, no clue why we smell so good to you?" Jonathan asked.
"None," Steve said.
"Well, maybe next time, Jonathan and I can go with you to the next full moon?" Nancy asked.
"If you want," Steve said. "By the way, what was it that you wanted to tell me? You mentioned something about that last night."
"Uh," Jonathan said, blushing. "We'll tell you later."
Steve smirked.
"You guys still smell really good when I'm in my human form," Steve said and grinned when they blushed.
Two weeks later. . .
Steve was looking around his living room, cursing as he tried to find the remote. Nancy and Jonathan were helping him.
"What's the point of my abilities if they can't find things?!" Steve exclaimed as he pulled up the cushions.
"I think they're supposed to be for hunting other animals," Nancy said.
"Listen," Steve said, gesturing with the cushions. "It takes everything I have not to chase after a squirrel. They're too cute. I'm not going to be responsible for killing Bambi or his mother."
"Yeah. I wouldn't make it long as a werewolf," Jonathan said.
"Luckily, Dustin found a way to put those hunting instincts towards something else," Steve said.
"Dog toys, though?" Nancy asked in amusement.
"It's effective," Steve said.
The three of them have been hanging out a lot over the last couple of weeks, with Robin occasionally joining them.
"By the way, I should thank you," Jonathan said. "Because my mother thinks the three of us are together, she's reconsidering making us move. Apparently, she doesn't have the heart to make her kids leave so many people they care about behind."
"You guys were going to move?" Steve asked.
"Yeah, that's what we wanted to talk to you about," Nancy said and looked at Jonathan. "That and other things."
Steve watched them. Nancy looked at Jonathan, giving him an encouraging look. Jonathan glanced at Nancy before shaking his head and looking at Steve. Nancy rolled her eyes and crossed her arms. Jonathan was backing down from something. Steve placed the cushions back down on the couch and sat back, resting on his knees. Kneeling before them, he looked at them both.
"Did I tell you that Robin and Dustin have a theory about why you smell so good to me?" Steve asked.
"No," Nancy said.
"Well, Dustin thinks along with my other senses that my emotions have been heightened as well. It's why I've been more protective of the kids and of Robin lately," Steve said. "And it's why I want to be around you more because before I was a werewolf, I had such strong feelings for both of you because of what happened between us. Dustin thinks it's purely out of friendship, but Robin thinks differently."
"And which one is right?" Nancy asked.
Steve swallowed thickly as he continued to gaze at them, still on his knees.
"Robin, definitely Robin," he replied. "And it made me realize something else, I want to belong to myself, too, but I also want to belong to you. . .to both of you. I want to be yours. I don't want to be obedient to anyone else but you, and when I think about you telling me what to do, not all the time, but sometimes. . .it's, uh. . ."
"Exciting?" Jonathan asked, his cheeks red and his eyes dark.
They moved closer to him. Nancy cupped his jaw, rubbing her thumb across his skin.
"Ours. . .yeah, definitely," Nancy said. "Jonathan?"
"You belong with us," Jonathan agreed softly.
Nancy squeezed Steve’s jaw gently and looked at him fiercely, her eyes just as dark as Jonathan's.
"Take off our clothes," Nancy demanded.
"Please," Jonathan said.
The warmth in Steve's stomach turned into a blazing fire. He loved the way they each made demands of him, each so differently. Jonathan was soft while Nancy was hard, and they both matched what Steve needed, but he also knew that they could reverse the roles when they needed to, but in this moment, it was just right. The remote lay forgotten underneath the other couch while Steve got busy taking off Nancy and Jonathan's clothing.
"Wait," Steve said, pausing. "What was it that you wanted to tell me?"
"That we fucking love you," Jonathan laughed.
The end of September. . .
The end of September brought another full moon, and with it, another transformation. Nancy and Jonathan came with him last time, chasing him playfully through the woods. That one had ended much like this one, with Jonathan and Nancy both making love to him. Except this time, they were underneath Skull Rock and not on the floor of Hopper's cabin. Steve had been too caught up with Jonathan kissing him and the both of them running his hands down his naked body. All of his senses were overwhelmed. He didn't hear it until it was, too late.
"I know it should be here somewhere - oh fuck!" They heard a voice yell. "Sorry! I didn't think anyone would be here! I didn't see anything!"
Steve broke away with a growl, and he could feel his eyes flashing yellow. He grabbed a pair of sweats from Jonathan's backpack and ran off after the person. This person was fast, but even in human form, Steve was faster than ever before. He tackled the person to the ground and let out a howl, letting Nancy and Jonathan know that he caught the guy. He flipped him over, his eyes fading back to normal.
"What the fuck, man?" Eddie Munson asked. "What's wrong with your eyes?"
Steve growled and sat on Eddie, waiting for his owners.
"Don't move," Steve said.
"Look, I'm not going to judge you for whatever you've got going on with Wheelers and Byers - ," Eddie said.
Steve smelled Nancy and Jonathan before he heard them approach.
"Steve, get off of him!" Nancy commanded.
"He saw us!" Steve growled again.
"And we'll deal with that. Come to us!" Nancy yelled.
Steve huffed and got up off of Eddie. He stood in between Nancy and Jonathan.
"Good boy," Jonathan said and patted him on the butt.
"What the hell is he?" Eddie asked.
"I'm their boyfriend," Steve scoffed.
"Yeah, no, I got that, very clearly," Eddie rolled his eyes. "No, I mean why the fuck did your eyes turn yellow and why did you make those strange growling sounds?"
Steve cocked his head to the side, studying him and smelling him. He knew that Dustin, Mike, Will, and Lucas had already found a place among Hellfire. They had all bragged about his skills as a dungeon master and the fact that he had taken them under his wing. The kids were starting to trust him, and judging by the way he started to smell to Steve, like Robin, he would soon become a part of this pack.
"I'm a werewolf," Steve said.
"What?!" Eddie shrieked. "Fuck off, you're kidding me?!"
"Steve, are you sure about this?" Nancy asked.
"I can smell him. He can be trusted not to say anything," Steve said. "Right?"
"Of course, I mean, it's not like anyone is going to believe me," Eddie said. "How many people know about this?"
"Dustin, Mike, Lucas, Robin Buckley," Steve said. "Of course, these two and Jonathan's mom knows now as well as his siblings."
"Okay," Eddie said. "So, how the fuck did you get turned in a werewolf or were you just born that way?"
"I got turned, and that's all you need to know," Steve said.
"The only thing you also need to know is that strange things happen in this town, Eddie," Nancy said.
"And we're usually the ones who stop them," Jonathan said.
"We also usually kill them, but in this case. . .," Nancy said, grinning at Steve. "We like fucking this one. He belongs to us."
"And you're okay with that?" Eddie asked, looking at Steve as he finally stood up.
"Yeah, I like being theirs," Steve smiling softly.
"We have a connection because of Steve. We all belong to each other as much as we belong to ourselves, and we make it work," Nancy said. "Steve prefers to be obedient."
"So. . .it's a sex thing?" Eddie asked.
"And an intimacy thing," Nancy replied. "Feeling like you're not alone is one thing, but knowing you're not. . . it. . .it's something else."
She ran her fingers through Steve’s hair, enjoying the way he melted under her touch. Steve knew that it was just as much of a power trip for Nancy and that she loved making them both weak under her touch.
"Wow," Eddie said.
"We're freaks," Steve smiled proudly.
"The best people usually are," Jonathan said, and Eddie couldn't help but laugh in agreement, pausing for a moment to drink it all in.
"So, did anyone find a lighter?" Eddie asked, shaking his head. "I lost mine the other day. . .I didn't think anyone would be out here this early."
After Jonathan gave him the lighter he found, Eddie parted from them with promises to keep their secret. Steve, Nancy, and Jonathan watched him walk off.
"Yeah, I don't think we can come back here again," Steve said.
"But you loved it here, it's where you found us," Nancy said.
"Yeah, I know, we can still do it in the woods, but maybe we should keep it to the woods around Hopper's place," Steve said.
"Yeah, that's probably a good idea," Nancy said.
Who knows? Maybe the next person who stumbled upon them wouldn't be so understanding as Eddie.
A month later. . .
Steve burst into the Byers new house. They had just moved into the four bedroom, so there were still boxes scattered around. He managed to avoid them and ran into the kitchen where Jonathan was helping El with her homework.
"Oh, sorry, I didn't think to knock," Steve said.
"I keep telling you that you don't have to," Jonathan said.
"Robin and I have finally found a job," Steve said sitting next to Jonathan.
"That's great. You two have been searching a while for someone to take you both," Jonathan said. "What's the job?"
"Family Video," Steve replied.
"Okay. . .but no giving my brother and his friends free videos, okay?" Jonathan asked and smirked when Steve gave him a surprised look. "Yeah, I know you helped them sneak into horror movies at Starcourt."
"Well, you know if Mike wants something, both El and Will can inflate their eyes. . .you just end up caving," Steve said. "Luckily, El wasn't there, or I'd end up just handing over my wallet."
"We do not inflate our eyes," El said but she was smiling.
"You do," Jonathan laughed. "You totally do."
"Still think I'm cute?" Steve asked Jonathan.
"Unfortunately, yeah," Jonathan said and kissed his cheek. "Try to be stronger next time."
"Steve?" El asked.
"Yeah?"
"What do you want to be when you grow up?" El asked, causing Jonathan and Steve to both smile at her.
"Oh. . .you know, I haven't really thought about it. I mean, I have thought about being a basketball coach," Steve said.
"Lucas said you would be great at that," El said.
"He did?" Steve asked.
"Yes, he has enjoyed playing with you," El replied.
"You could be a teacher, you know," Jonathan said.
"Yeah, right," Steve scoffed.
"Don't do that," Jonathan said. "You'd be a great teacher."
"How?" He asked.
"Well, you're really great at simplifying things for other people," he replied.
"You mean dumbing things down?" Steve asked.
"You are not dumb," El scowled and tapped him on the nose with her pencil.
"My sister's right, Steve, you aren't dumb. You look at something, make sense of it, and make it easier for other people," Jonathan said softly. "Nancy and I both wish you would believe in yourself more. It doesn't make you any less smart because you don't know something other people do. There are plenty of things that you know that we don't. You're a genius when it comes to statistics."
"You really helped me with my math the other day," El pointed out.
"Oh, that was - ," Steve started to say.
"Something that I did not know," El said.
"A math teacher and a basketball coach?" Jonathan asked. "That might be something to think about, too."
"You and Nancy just want to see me in those shorts," Steve said, and El snorted with laughter.
"There is absolutely nothing in it for us," Jonathan said seriously.
"Yeah, right," Steve said. "Even if I wanted to. . .I didn't get into college, let alone trade school."
"No, you didn't get into an Ivy league, but there are plenty of colleges that are reputable that aren't ivy, hell, they aren't even universities," Jonathan said. "You didn't apply to those because of your father. It was either the top or the bottom for him, although, of course, he considers trade school to be at the bottom. . .Hey, I know what it's like to have your father's voice try to live inside your head. Kick that fucker out. You don't know if you can do something until you try."
"I love you," Steve said fondly.
"I love you, too," Jonathan said.
"Maybe you, Nancy, and Robin can help me look through colleges together later," Steve said, his eyes twinkling.
"Oh, now you're trying to convince me to think about going to NYU," Jonathan said.
"All's fair in love and war, baby," Steve said. "Besides, it's been your dream since you like six, right?"
"Dreams can change," Jonathan said. "I never dreamed I would fall in love with both Nancy Wheeler and Steve Harrington at the same time, but I have. Sometimes, things don't always work out like you thought it would, and sometimes, things work out better than you ever dreamed. Whatever happens, whatever feels right at the time. . .I'll decide then. I'm not even sure that I even want to pursue NYU anymore. . .I don't know."
"Is it okay not to know yet?" El asked.
"We're still young, still figuring things out," Steve said. "Like Jonathan said, it doesn't make you any less smart just because you don't know something other people do."
"It is true," El grinned. "Dreams do change. Jonathan never thought his boyfriend would be a werewolf either."
"Or that he'd have a sister who was a badass cheerleader," Steve said.
"I am not quite there yet," El said. "But with Chrissy's help, I am getting there."
"Oh, Chrissy Cunningham?" Steve asked.
"Yeah," she said.
"Oh, she's a good egg, I'm glad she's taken you under her wing," Steve said.
"I do not like her boyfriend," El said seriously.
"Yeah, Carver's a total mouthbreather," Steve replied and El giggled.
Jonathan leaned his head onto Steve’s shoulder, smiling into it, and Steve kissed the top of his head before continuing to talk with El.
The night before and the day of Thanksgiving. . .
Steve was running through the forest, as fast as his leg could carry him. He was fast in human form, but he was even faster now in wolf form. He could still hear them shouting, and then he heard it. . . BANG! Steve whimpered as the bullet grazed his skin. Fuck. He had to keep going. Well, it looked like Hopper's cabin was no longer an option. Why the fuck were those assholes out there, anyway? Well, it was the night before Thanksgiving, and those assholes were clearly drunk. They weren't going to get his fucking pelt. He kept running until he could no longer hear them, could no longer smell Nancy, and Jonathan. He kept running. Another familiar scent caught his nose. It wasn't as strong as Nancy's or Jonathan's or even the rest of his pack but it was getting there. He followed the scent until he came to a trailer park. Eddie. He followed the scent to a trailer with a van out front and climbed up the steps, scratching at the door. Eddie opened the door.
"Shit! Fuck! A goddamn wolf. . .oh, you poor thing. . .have you been shot?" Eddie asked. "Come on in, Eddie will fix you up."
Steve realized that Eddie hadn't seen him in his wolf form yet. Steve flashed his eyes yellow and collapsed. He was exhausted. He let out a howl, hoping that Nancy and Jonathan could hear him, and then fell asleep in Eddie's arms.
"Steve!"
Steve’s eyes opened to find the sunlight peaking through Eddie's curtains. Shit, that's right, he had found himself at Eddie's when those assholes tried to kill him.
"Is he alright?" He heard Nancy asked.
"Yeah, I didn't need to stitch him up or anything. He already started to heal when he collapsed," Eddie said. "I think he was just tired. . .what the hell happened?"
"A couple of drunk hunters," Jonathan cursed. "We're going to have to find another place for him to transform."
Steve sat up and clutched Eddie's sheet tighter around him. Nancy, Jonathan, and Eddie were standing in the doorway. Nancy and Jonathan moved to his side immediately.
"Are you okay?" Nancy asked.
"Yeah, it was just a graze, and I think it's already closed," Steve said and pulled back the sheet slightly. "See?"
Nancy kissed him deeply before moving and letting Jonathan do the same.
"I'm glad you're okay," Nancy said softly.
"I wanted to stay and make sure - ," Steve said.
"But we told you to run, and you listened. Good boy," Nancy cooed and kissed him again.
"Thank you, man," Jonathan said to Eddie. "You have no idea how much this means to us."
"How did you know what to do, Eddie?" Steve asked.
"Well, I patched up my dad enough times after a bar fight, and then whenever I was here, I'd help out the wounded animals in the trailer park," Eddie said, shrugging.
"Impressive," Steve grinned. "Hey, if you're not doing anything for Thanksgiving, you're welcome to join us over at Jonathan's. I'm cooking."
"You are not," Jonathan said. "You were shot. I'm cooking."
"Who am I to argue with someone so pretty?" Steve asked, and Eddie snorted.
"Uh, yeah, I guess I'll be there. My uncle probably won't be. He worked the night shift, and he'll be home soon," Eddie said. "So, he'll be catching up on his sleep."
"Well, we'll make sure to save him some leftovers," Nancy said.
"That's awfully kind of you," Eddie said. "He'll appreciate that. Neither one of us knows how to cook."
Later that day. . .
Steve had immediately been engulfed in hugs when Jonathan and Nancy brought him to Jonathan's house that morning. They had been just as worried as his partners had been especially Robin, who refused to leave his side the rest of the day, and neither did Dustin when he arrived. Jonathan was making sure that Steve rested and didn't cook. Steve couldn't prove it, but he was pretty sure that Jonathan had stuck Robin and Dustin on him.
"Max is not coming," El announced with a pout as she sat down on the couch with Steve and the others, curling up next to Mike.
Steve frowned and shared a look with Nancy. She knew that she was having trouble with what happened with Billy over the summer, but she was also having trouble with El being a cheerleader. . .for whatever reason.
"I just don't get it. You're not going to end up like some of those other stuck-up cheerleaders," Mike said. "Not as long as you're friends with Chrissy."
"I think she is just sad," El said. "I do not believe that she really has a problem with it. I think it's an excuse."
"To push you away?" Nancy asked.
"Yes," El said.
"Well, I'm sure she'll reach out to you, just give her time," Nancy said and squeezed her knee. "That's really the only thing that you can do for her and let her know that you'll be there when she's ready."
"I will," El nodded.
"In the meantime, you invited Chrissy, right?" Nancy asked.
"I did," El beamed and turned to Joyce. "Is it okay that she brings her cousin, mama?"
Joyce, grinning like she always did when El called her that kissed her daughter's forehead.
"Of course, the more the merrier. We've got plenty, especially with the stuff that Steve snuck in and made," Joyce said.
"What?!" Jonathan yelled from the kitchen. "When did you cook?!"
"It was during that time that Nancy distracted you," Steve grinned.
"Nancy!" Jonathan yelled.
"What? I am not sorry. Steve’s sweet potato casserole is amazing," Nancy replied.
"Honestly, how did you think it got there?" Steve asked in amusement.
"I, uh, fuck! I don't know," Jonathan yelled and Steve smirked when he heard Will laugh from the kitchen.
Will insisted on helping Jonathan because someone who can cook should help him. El giggled and got up off the couch.
"I think I will go help my brothers," El said. "I could use the distraction."
It wasn't long before Chrissy showed up, and Joyce was showing her to the living room where everyone was watching the parade. Robin quickly dove behind the couch.
"Oh, no," Robin said. "Chrissy's cousin - ,"
"What?" Nancy asked. "Who is she?"
"Shit, that's Vickie," Steve grinned.
"I didn't know they were cousins," Robin hissed from behind them.
"Oh, Robin, she is cute," Nancy giggled.
"Yeah, yeah, adorable," Robin said. "Oh! I wasn't expecting this. . .do I look okay?"
"Hm, your hair could use a little work," Steve said seriously.
"Oh my god!" Robin gasped.
"Steve!" Nancy scolded. "Your hair looks fine, but you should probably get out from behind the couch or otherwise she's going to think you're hiding from her."
"I am hiding from her," Robin said.
"Yeah, but you don't want her to know that," Nancy pointed out.
"Found it!" Robin exclaimed, jumping up from behind the couch and holding up a ring. "I thought I lost it. I mean, I did lose it when I took it off and played with it. Of course, I dropped it and rolled right under the couch. I'm such a klutz."
"I am too," Vickie said in amusement.
"Yeah?" Robin asked, her cheeks pink.
"Hi, Robin," Vickie said sweetly, and Chrissy giggled.
"Hi," Robin said. "Happy bird eating day."
Nancy stuffed a knuckle into her mouth to stop the laugh from spilling out while Steve didn't bother. He leaned into his girlfriend.
"Are we laughing at the same thing?" Steve asked.
"Robin is also a bird," Nancy whispered, and they giggled causing Robin to glare at them both.
"Thank you for letting us come over for Thanksgiving, Mrs. Byers," Chrissy said. "My parents don't celebrate it."
"And my dad is out of town. A friend of his got into an accident and he's up there helping out," Vickie replied.
"Oh, yeah, the more the merrier," Joyce said. "And please, call me Joyce."
"My parents were unfortunately knocked out with our sister and the cold she brought home," Nancy said. "Or otherwise they'd be here."
"Oh, and my Auntie Kathy's boyfriend left her again," Dustin said. "So mom went up there to stop her drowning herself in a bottle of whiskey. . .she also told me not to say that part. . .oops."
"Hi, so, this is Robin, I'm Chrissy, I've heard so much - OW!" Chrissy exclaimed as Vickie accidentally elbowed her. "I mean, I've heard nothing about you. Nothing at all."
El came rushing into the room from the kitchen and into the room to greet Chrissy with a hug.
"Do you guys need any help in the kitchen?" Vickie asked.
"I think Jonathan does, but he does not want to admit it," El giggled.
"We're happy to help," Chrissy beamed.
Steve followed the girls where Jonathan and Will were panicking around the kitchen, trying to make sure nothing burned.
"What are you doing here? I told you to sit," Jonathan said.
"Yeah, well, you need help," Steve said. "I'm fine."
"Maybe, but I would feel better if I knew you were resting," Jonathan said. "You got shot. It's not something you just brush off."
"You got shot?" Chrissy asked.
"It was just a graze from a drunk hunter. Nancy, Jonathan, and I went on a walk last night," Steve said. "I'm fine."
"At least sit at the table," Jonathan said.
"Fine," Steve said.
Jonathan did it out of habit, Steve figured. He slapped Steve’s ass as Steve turned around.
"Good boy," Jonathan said.
Will and El froze while Jonathan looked at Steve with guilt.
"Did Jonathan just slap your butt?" Vickie asked. "I thought that it was a thing that jocks did to other jocks?"
"Oh. Well. . .uh," Jonathan said.
Steve smirked at Jonathan and winked, letting him know that it was okay with Chrissy and Vickie.
"It's fine, Chrissy knows about me," Steve reassured him.
"You finally found yourself a fella, Steve?" Chrissy asked.
"And a gal," Steve replied.
"Nancy and Jonathan?" Chrissy asked. "And you're all okay with the arrangement?"
"Oh, yeah," Steve and Jonathan said.
"I mean, I wasn't. At first," Jonathan said. "Before we got together, I was pretty much an asshole about it. . .especially towards Nancy. I mean, there's no denying that I said a lot of misogynistic things towards her for sleeping with Steve. I shamed her for it even though I didn't even know either one of them back then. I did and said a lot of things because of my shame towards my attraction to men and to men like Steve. I was arrogant back then, thought I was better than everyone because I all I could see was the bad in people. Steve and Nancy, though, they see the good in people and for whatever reason, they see it in me and they've decided that they want to be with me. Honestly, I don't know how I got so lucky."
"Because you're a good person who's made mistakes," Steve said. "You're a good brother. We love you."
Steve kissed him and sat down at the kitchen table. Jonathan stared at him, smiling, and almost burned the food if it hadn't been for Vickie stepping in. It wasn't long before Eddie showed up as well.
"It's a full house in here!" Steve heard his voice yell. "Here you go, Mrs. Byers."
"Are these flowers from the neighbor's yard?" Joyce asked.
"Nah, they just look like the same ones. . .okay, so they might be the same flowers," Eddie said. "Sorry."
"It's the thought that counts," they heard Joyce laugh. "Thank you for looking after our boy. I heard what you did for him."
"It wasn't a problem," Eddie replied. "Henderson!"
After a while, they brought together a bunch of tables into the kitchen when the food was finally done with a bunch of mismatched chairs to pull it together. Steve noticed that Chrissy ended up sitting next to Eddie, and he also noticed that it might have been a happy accident for the both of them. Although, much to Dustin's chagrin, Eddie ended up ignoring him in favor of Chrissy. Robin was happily sitting next to Vickie, while Mike talked with both El and Will, making them giggle. Steve sat in between in his two loves, rubbing Jonathan's back gently while he ate with his free hand. Everyone was smiling.
"Mom, you okay?" Jonathan asked Joyce.
"Yeah, I'm really glad that I decided not to move," she beamed.
"Me too," Jonathan said.
By the time the dessert was served, the Sinclairs had arrived just in time to hear the story of how Eddie got conned by his own father into robbing a truck full of drugs from a supply line driving through Hawkins.
- and I just got blackmailed out of school, I thought it would be better for Gareth, Ronnie, and Jeff if I got out Hawkins. That's what I thought, what I believed, because everyone looked at me, and all they could see was my father. All I was doing by running away was proving them right. It wasn't until the guys who came after my father tried to come after me, burned down my house, and shot Officer Moore, that I realized that no matter where I go the ghost of my father would always follow me. . .people were going to hate people like me. I couldn't run away like my father always ran away from me, so my father stole my van and left me with his mess, with my hand on Officer Moore to stop the bleeding. Because I stayed, Officer Moore lived, and I was grateful for that even though he had hated me. Later, I also realized that no matter where I went, those bullying and abusive assholes would always go after my friends, and I couldn't just leave them. Besides, all I really wanted to do was play music, and I think I so badly wanted to get out of there, I forgot that the most important thing. . .why I loved music. Because of my mom and that no matter where I was, that it was the music that could take me anywhere if just believed enough in it," Eddie finished. "If I believed enough in myself. . ."
"Wow," Chrissy breathed, staring at him. "I'm so sorry about Jason and his friends, I swear I keep telling him - ,"
"Why are you with him?" Eddie asked bluntly.
"My mother," Chrissy said and then she whispered in his ear.
Eddie frowned before leaning over and whispering back. Chrissy let out a gasp of delight and pressed a hand to her mouth. Whatever it was, it wasn't for their ears. Steve figured that Jason wasn't going to last long in Chrissy's life after this.
"If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world," Eddie said, quoting the Hobbit and Steve couldn't help but agree, smiling at his pack. . .current members, new ones, and future ones alike.
Part Two coming as soon as possible. . .

Hungry Like The Wolf
Tumblr media
So the poll is in, and no surprise that Steve triggering his curse was the top pick, tied with Will and Eleven practicing magic. I'll upload the Will and Eleven fic soon, but for now, enjoy some werewolf Steve.
It began four nights ago, the night Barb died.
Steve was in bed and Nancy, Tommy and Carol had gone home. Steve was sound asleep until he felt this painful sensation in his stomach.
Steve groaned and sat up in his bed, after a moment, the pain subsided. Unbeknown to Steve, his eyes flashes golden-yellow in the moments before he fell back asleep.
In the coming day up until November 12th, Steve had been feeling... different. He felt more confident in himself, more stronger and faster than he had ever been in his life. But he was also angry, all the time, often for no reason too.
But boy was he angry when he saw Jonathan Byers in his girlfriend's bedroom.
Steve acted alone when he vandalised the movie theatre, and he was alone when Nancy and Jonathan confronted him, and Steve just let it all out as Nancy tried to stop him.
" You know what, Byers? I’m actually kind of impressed." Steve angrily states. "I always took you for a queer, but I guess you’re just a little screw-up like your father. Oh, yeah, yeah, that house is full of screw-ups." As Steve continues to speak, he can see Jonathan getting angrier and angrier. "You know, I guess I shouldn’t really be surprised. A bunch of screw-ups in your family. I mean, your mom...I’m not even surprised what happened to your brother. I’m sorry I have to be the one to tell you, but the Byers, their family, it’s a disgrace to the entire-"
Before Steve could get another insult out of his mouth, Jonathan pinned Steve against the wall and hissed, he actually hissed. Steve would've laughed if it weren't for the fangs poking out of Byers' mouth, and those veins coming from his eyes, Steve had never been more shit scared in his life.
"What the f-"
"Jonathan! We have to go, now! Come on!"
Just like that, Jonathan's eyes went back to normal and his fangs retracted. "Fine."
In a blink of an eye, Nancy and Jonathan were gone, leaving Steve in that alley, utterly confused, scared, and questioning his life choices.
That night, when the full moon was high and Steve did a lot of consideration, he went to the Byers House to apologise to Jonathan, and maybe to ask him about those fangs that grew out of nowhere.
As Steve stood in the Byers' living room, Nancy pointing a gun at him, he felt... off.
"Steve, get out!"
"Woah, whoah, What-"
Steve his cut off when his ankle literally snaps. He yells in pain as he falls to the floor.
"What just happened?" Jonathan asks him.
"I-I think m-my ankle just broke. What the-" Steve is cut off yet again as he feels his shoulder pop out of place. "My shoulder! Ahh!"
Nancy's face pales in realisation, she had read about his in her grandfather's journal. "He's a werewolf."
"He's a what?" Jonathan asks Nancy as Steve continues to howl in pain as his bones snap.
"When a person carrying the werewolf gene is responsible for taking a life, they trigger their curse and are forced to turn into a wolf every full moon." Nancy looks at Steve. "Barb dying must've triggered it, somehow."
"AH!" Steve screams as his spine snaps. "W-What do I do?"
"Get him outside, go!" Nancy and Jonathan grab Steve and drag him to the front yard. "Okay, Steve, i'm not gonna lie to you, this is gonna hurt like hell." Nancy explains as Steve's bones reshape. "If you fight it, it's gonna hurt more, so the best thing is to just let it happen."
Steve, scared out of his wits, nods. "O-Okay, yeah, I- AH... I can do it."
This went on for a few moments, Steve screaming in pain as Nancy and Jonathan watch on, helpless. Steve looks up at the pair, golden-yellow eyes replacing his usual brown eyes.
And within the next five minuets, where Steve once stood, was now a large, brown wolf.
By sunrise, Will had be found, the demogorgon was gone, and Steve stood in the forest of Hawkins, human, scared, and seriously questioning if last night was just a really bad dream.

So...since a mutual posted on here after a while I decided to post a little thing as well (It's actually like almost 3k words so not that little.)
⚠️gore warning ⚠️
--------
Moonlight filtered through branches leaving lighting like shapes in the ground. It was a quiet night, nothing moved and not a sound could be heard. But the eerie silence of the night was cut short as a girl ran through the moonlit forest.
Boots crunched against the dead ground as a girl ran through the forest. She was panting hard as she ran making sure to keep her distance from the thing that was chasing her. It was a horrid excuse of a wolf, its snout was peeling back exposed sharp teeth in the skin and while it ran on all fours after her it stood and walked on two legs. And now as its acidic breath was hitting her neck getting closer with each puff, she knew that this forest would be the only one to know of her death.
The things teeth scraped against her neck making jolts of electricity run along her nerves, and with that sensation self preservation kicked in and she moved to the left, moving her neck away from the jaws of the beast and instead having them clamp around her shoulder. Pain licked at her shoulder as she let out a pained scream as a sickening crunch of what had to some bone along her shoulder broke in the beast's jaw. The pain was horrendous and everything in her screamed to stop fighting and let the beast win, but a smaller part that was growing wanted her to fight back, so she did.
She stopped running, the abrupt stop sent the beast past her, letting go of her shoulder so it wouldn’t fall. One thing she didn’t account for was the beast too charge through her, knocking her to the ground and having it’s claws dig into her back. Another scream was ripped from her, this time muffled by the dirt she was laying face down in. But the beast could stop its momentum enough to stay on her and continued forward allowing the teen to turn upright and move away, her one good arm trying to grab anything that would help her fight off the beast.
But the beast was taking its time to slowly stalk over as it walked on two legs, towering over her. The girl backed herself up against a tree, the rough bark digging into her bloody wounds and bringing a whimper from her. This made the beast smirk to the best of its ability as the skin from its mouth hung limply. It moved in bending down to place its deformed hands next to the girl as it’s jaws opened in a snarl, it moved to clamp them around their victim’s throat but something sharp pierced their own throat making them stagger back as a clawed hand reached out to feel something poking out from their throat.
A gurgled roar left their mouth as they tried to swipe at the girl they were chasing only for her to slip through their grasp before their own blood choked them out with no way to get air in their lungs.
The teen stood there panthing as they wiped blood off of their face and spitting out some that landed in her mouth. The beast laid motionless as blood slowly stopped pumping, its heart stopped. She fell to her knees as her legs gave out, exhausted after running for so long with the beast trying to catch her, she closed her eyes letting the adrenaline leave her body. But as she opened them a blue spectral version of the beast stood in front of her.
“Well met hunter.” The spectral beast spoke with its deformed jaw moving like a person’s would. The girl was too tired to fully understand what was going on as the spectral beast walked closer.
“I’m not a hunter, I’m a teenager. My name is Robin and I’m guessing you don’t want to be called a monster or beast.” Robin snarked to the beast who glared in disapproval before morphing into a man with a stag’s skull on his head.
“I am the daedric prince Lord Hircine, and you have hunted down one of my hounds.” Hircine didn’t sound all too sad about Robin just killing his “hound”.
“Aren’t you mad at me or something?” Robin looked at the prince with a confused look as she spoke expecting to be killed for doing such.
“No, you freed her from the corruption, and no matter who won, a hunt took place, where the prey became the hunter. Both metaphorically and physically.” Hircine sounded all too smug for Robin’s liking.
“What do you mean physically?” She stood up on shaky legs trying to get eye level with the prince but finding she needed to look up more, she scowled at him before pain bloomed from her chest and spread like a wildfire through her body.
“I mean, my hound bit you, spreading my blessing and her blood helped to accelerate the speed in which you would transform. So now listen closely hunter…” Hircine crouched down to Robin who was back on her knees as her bones cracked and molded themselves into something new, “I want you to find Kodlak, you will know it is him by the wolf head ring on his hand, and I want you to kill him. Tear him apart if you want, in doing so you will be granted my ring which he has. That will help you control your beast side and help contain your bloodlust. Good hunt, my hound.” With that Hircine disappeared leaving Robin to wither in her pain as her clothes ripped and teared at her body, fur grew to cover her skin while her mouth extended into a wolf’s jaw. Her teeth fell out to make way for sharp fangs to break her gums leaving the metallic taste of blood in her mouth. Each bone broke and put itself back together making her whole body disproportionate as it molded into a bipedal wolf.
Everything was more acute, her eyes, ears, nose, taste, everything around her from the taste of the air to the sound of a sleeping rabbit was so intense. Robin brought her now clawed hands up to her face as it touched her snout. I wasn’t limply handing off like the beast before, instead there were muscles under the rough pads of her hands. Robin didn’t stay long to take in her new body before shouting came from the woods. Faint as it was, her new canine ears picked up the sound and her body moved on auto pilot.
She broke out into a sprint running on all fours as she ran past trees, the dying leaves and moist ground muffling her movements. In no time she found herself in front of a small cabin, Christmas lights flickered inside the house as three different voices now filled with panic instead of anger hushed quietly before stopping completely. Robin moved closer to the house, staying low to the ground while the people inside stopped moving.
She waited, time seemed to slow before a squelching sound, almost like peeling skin mingled with the sound of heavy breathing. The lights were still flicking while the three people inside started to move. The sound of a heavy object hitting flesh and gunshots rang inside the house and a roar just like the one that the beast gave when it cased Robin. She waited until the people inside started to move away before barreling through the door.
The beast turned towards Robin, but it was knocked to the ground as Robin roared in its face. The light continued to flicker, illuminating the monster's face in flashes. Its face was more decomposed than the one that chased her, but it still resembled what she can only think she looks like. The beast's hind legs get under Robin and push her off its claws digging in slightly into her stomach. Robin stumbles back while the monster stands up, a ring glinting on its withered hand.
Kodlak, an almost red hue blanket Robin’s vision as she charged at Kodlak getting a swipe into his upper arm as he moved around her to bite her opposite arm while his swiped arm dug into her torso and rammed her into the wall. Robin let out an enraged growl and bit into the arm that was holding her torso. With a satisfying crunch the skin and bone broke under her powerful jaws and with a quick jerk of her head to the right the arm ripped from the thin skin holding it together. The action made Kodlak let go of her arm and back away to roar in agony.
The people in the house watched in horror as the two monsters fought each other, they didn’t know if they should run or help the more normal looking creature.
Robin growled at the roar and crouched on the ground before launching at Kodlak, locking her jaws around his torso she pushed him up before slamming him onto the coffee table breaking it into pieces under him. She then lets her jaw open before towering over Kodlak, her hands dig into his chest, skin breaks and blackish blood flows from the wounds. Her hands clamp around his ribs while a foot rests on his torso pushing out blood before she pulls on his ribs breaking them from the sternum and spine. Five ribs on each side come out, they clatter to the ground before Robin clamps her snout around his heart, eating it whole. Looking at the arm still attached she carefully takes off the ring on his ring finger and slides it on her middle finger.
Kodlak’s dead and limp body lies in the room, Robin’s golden brown fur is covered in red and blackish blood from herself and Kodlak. A shuffling makes her turn around with a warning rumble from the back of her throat reverberated through the home. scared gray blue eyes stared widely at Robin, a gun leveled with her head.
“Nance, whatever you’re thinking, don't do it.” The pompous haired guy spoke to the girl, her eyes narrowed, but the tremor in her hands holding the gun gave away how she was still scared.
“We don’t know if this…thing-”
“Demogorgon, the kids call it a demogorgon, but it really doesn’t look like one.” The greasy haired one spoke, cutting off the girl, Nance. Nance huffed as she stared at the creature in front of her. Stormy blue eyes clashed to ocean blue, almost like a storm over the ocean, and in that short staring contest Robin relaxed her expression for just a second before baring her teeth back at the teens in front.
That split second was all Nance needed.
She lowered her gun as the two guys looked at each other. Robin looked at the three teens one more time before moving slowly towards the door. Once she left the doorway she ran off into the woods towards her home while the three teens inside watched her run into the forest, the darkness hiding any trace of the beast ever being here.
“So…where are we going to bury this body?” Steve spoke up, his eyes glued to the dead body left in the living room.
“We can burn it.” Jonathan spoke up, glancing at the window one last time.
“Yeah, burning it sounds good.” Steve agreed as the two of them walked into the bedroom they were hiding in to grab the spare gasoline they bought. Nancy stood in the window staring at the spot the wolf monster ran through, she was going to find out who or what that was tonight that saved them, she thought to herself before going to help the boys with burning the body.
---
Robin ran and didn’t stop running till she saw her home in the tree line. Her body ached and while the blood from her wounds stopped pouring the pain of having teeth and claws digging into her body all night was still there. She reached her back door and slowly pushed it open, her parents weren't home before everything happened, but she didn’t know if they came back in between the time she was running for her life to her murder of Kodlak. Everything was dark in the house and there was no sound of breathing or a heart beating. A puff of air left Robin as her aching body started to break under her, she wanted to scream but she bit her lip to keep any pained sounds from leaving her body. Once she was back in her normal body, naked and bloody while pink colored wounds popped against her sickly looking skin. She cried, curled up on her hardwood floor, with no energy left to stand up much less clean the blood off her body.
“Get up hunter. There is no point in weeping for a hound that lost his mind.” The spectral Hircine spoke to her as she stayed in the same position curled up on the floor. Hircine huffed at Robin but sat down next to her, his spectral hand gently patted at her back. “I have had many hounds break after their first turn, many had killed more than you have, some killed their own families in the blinding bloodlust that comes with the first turn. And many less had lived to tell the tale that they held my ring in their possession. You are my last hound and hunter, the rest got corrupted and became the monsters that you killed. You did not kill anyone, you freed two of my hounds from the pain they endured. Do not feel bad, many have died by my hunters and hounds, but you not only became my hunter but my hound as well. Now stand up, clean yourself of corrupt blood and sleep.” Hircine’s words sunk into Robin and weighed against her chest, suddenly this daedric prince was putting all his faith into Robin when her own parents didn’t even have a quarter of the faith he had, and Robin really didn’t want anyone else to be disappointed in her.
She stood up, legs shaky and sore as they supported her body weight, Hircine stayed close to her all the way to her room to grab her towel and sleepwear before following her to the bathroom. He stood outside the whole time Robin sat in the shower letting the water run over her body as red and brown water swirled down the drain. She did end up scrubbing her body down from any blood or dirt still left on her skin and washed her hair from the same concoction of blood and grime. She looked in the mirror, her hair hung loosely around her sunken face, dark purple bruises clung to the bottom of her eyes, pink scarred teeth marks covered her right shoulder and left forearm while pink scarred claw marks raised the skin of her torso and most likely her back and looking in the mirror Robin couldn’t tell if it was really her looking back at her. She left the bathroom with a clean body covered in soft green flannel pants and a black t-shirt with the minty taste of her toothpaste clinging to her mouth as Hircine led her to her room.
Robin slid under the covers but her eyes stayed open. Everything felt like too much for her, the sounds of the forest, the humm of the lamp posts outside of her home, the smell of her parents while as stale as it was clung to the air. It wasn’t until her bed dipped to her left and a surprisingly warm hand started to run through her hair that her eyes started to droop before closing completely.
Even breaths and a steady heartbeat were the only sounds in the room as Hircine sat next to his hound. She was not his youngest hound to ever shift but she was the first to have never heard of him before. He knew he would have to teach her, she did not have a pack to guide her, he could sense the loneliness of the den his hound sees as home; but it was not a home in his eyes. Hircine’s spectral body started to drift away as he said “Sleep well hunter.”

Harringrove Fanfics (Part 1)
All of these fics are omegaverse (with omega Steve and alpha Billy). Some of them are very angsty/dark.
Was - by Sissytobitch10seconds
Steve has become very familiar with the past tense.
Starting Over - by ruila
After Tina's party Steve would like to do nothing more than ignore his ex-friends and shitty classmates and forget about the state of his life, a new alpha doesn't let that happen.
Who Said Omegas Were Weak? - by Mid_Nightmare
“It’s fucking sick what he does to you. There’s nothing wrong with you. There’s nothing wrong with us.”
“I know, pretty boy.”
Billy didn’t fight it as Steve cleaned up his skin. He also didn’t provide an explanation when he picked a piece of glass out of the alpha’s cheek. “What the fuck?” Steve whispered, dropping the small shard before returning to the cut to look for more. “What did he hit you with this time?”
A bottle, Billy wanted to say, but his mind and body were too tired. Steve’s scent was lulling his fried nerves, helping him to relax. The adrenaline was leaving him, and he felt himself becoming heavier by the minute…
The Code of Tomorrow - by KKiri_Write
Steve hated it. Hated how Nancy used him, cheated on him with Jonathan Byers, how she spread the news about him being an only male Omega in their school and making him look like a fool to everyone. He was just tired of it but when the kids came to him for help with the Demogorgon and protecting them, it changes him. Now all he wants to do is protect his five pups from the Upside Down world but when his pups want to become friends with another making him meet an alpha that is a bit of an asshole but was trying to change.
Or
Where Billy isn't much an asshole towards Steve, the kids, and his sister but is towards everyone else and that he protects the kids, and Steve from the Demodogs when they attack the Byers house instead of fighting Steve.
Thicker Than Blood - by Doodsxd
“Trick you into what?” He was losing his patience. “Where is Max? Is she hurt?”
“Dustin, look at him. His canines aren’t out, his pupils aren’t dilated, he’s not posturing.” He tried to argue with the other boy. “You can’t…” Harrington held Dustin’s bat for a second, stopping him from charging. “You can’t smell her?”
Billy narrowed his eyes, trying to understand it. “I only smell distress.” He said. “I was home and suddenly I had this urge to come here. I know she’s in here, Harrington, is she hurt?”
Hawkins' Creatures - by KKiri_Write
Hawkins was just a normal town but secretly in this town, lived some werewolves, which were believed to be extinct creatures. Billy may be one including his pathetic family but he would do anything to protect his stepsister from hunters after moving here in Hawkins. Truly Billy thought he wasn't gonna find someone like him or most importantly his soulmate in this town but when he goes to school he catches a scent. A scented of a werewolf and most importantly a male omega, which is rare in their history. Billy is determined to find this omega in this town before he loses that scent forever.
Or:
Werewolf Au with the Upside Down World's monsters are known in Hawkins and are living deep in the forest.

Have I started another long fic? Yes, yes I have.
Title: The scent of sea salt and sunshine
Main ship: Harringrove
Additional tags: Werewolf Steve Harrington, Werewolves, Pack Dynamics, Hive Mind, Sort Of, Werewolf Nancy Wheeler, Werewolf Jonathan Byers, Werewolf Robin Buckley, Werewolf Chrissy Cunningham, Werewolf Jason Carver, Witch Eddie Munson, Wolfsong inspired, Werewolf Mates, True Mates, Knotting, More tags to be added, Child Abuse, Neil Hargrove is His Own Warning, Suicidal Thoughts, Physical Abuse, Billy Hargrove Tries to Be a Better Sibling, Billy Hargrove Needs a Hug, Gay Billy Hargrove, Bottom Billy Hargrove, Top Steve Harrington, Protective Steve Harrington, Alpha Steve Harrington, Alpha/Beta/Omega Dynamics, Kind Of, not traditional
Summary: Steve Harrington is going to be the next Alpha of the Hawkins wolf pack. It's something he's known since he was a child, and with Hopper getting ready to hand over the reigns, he's beginning to really feel the weight of his future responsibilities. Especially after what happened with his father.
The scars of what everyone in the pack only ever refers to as 'the event' are still fresh in Steve's mind and heart, even if it has been three years. It doesn't matter that none of the pack blame him for what happened, Steve can't help but feel like it was his fault. Starting his senior year of high school with all of that hanging over him would be bad enough, but then someone new comes to town.
Someone who smells like sea salt and sunshine. Someone who makes Steve feel like home.
Even if he is a human.

Well Met By Moonlight Part 14
Hey all! Because I'm working strictly on Paper Hearts and Sweet Home Indiana exclusively until they're done, I thought I would put out chapters of this, Icarus (metal band), and Never Hold Back Your Step...(boy with a bat book 2) this week to tie you over until I can get back to them.
The poll wanted me to continue this one and Never Hold Back Your Step, so show me how much you love this story. Because people it is going to get juicy good and hella twisty and you really don't want to miss out on that. ;)
This is a very Nancy heavy chapter and as always she comes off very nuanced.
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6 Part 7 Part 8 Part 9 Part 10 Part 11 Part 12 Part 13
****
Steve had two thorns in his side. Tommy Hagan and Murray Bauman. Jonathan had gotten his mom and Hopper to back down by citing actual pack law.
He suspected that Nancy had given him that little tidbit to throw in their faces.
It was nice to have the younger generation on his side. Well, most of it. There was still the matter of Tommy.
But now it was time to let Nancy in on what had been going on in the pack.
“I wish you had come to me sooner,” she huffed after he had explained everything and shown her his proof.
“Would you have come to me if the shoe was on the other foot?” Steve asked sharply.
She folded her arms and looked down at the ground. Steve raised an eyebrow at her and she threw her arms in the air.
“Fine!” Nancy cried, throwing her arms in the air. “I wouldn’t have gone to you, I would have gone to Jonathan first. But at least I would have gone to another pack member instead of a keeper, Steve.”
Steve curled his lip and she took a step backward. “Keepers are bound to a scared trust and while Tommy has broken his, Robin would never.”
“Platonic soulmates, I know, I know,” she said, rolling her eyes. “So you keep saying. But she isn’t your female alpha, she isn’t even a werewolf Steve.”
Steve drew himself up to full height and glared at her. “At what has this pack done to show me any loyalty? It goes both ways, Nance and frankly all I’ve gotten since I came back to the pack is suspicion and distrust. Where’s my loyalty, huh? Where is it?”
She looked down at her feet again and sighed. “You weren’t a pack member for ten years, Steve and then you come back, in just a year you’re alpha. Like the rest of us have grown up together. Played together as children and then as puppies when we changed. We know everything about each other, but nothing about you. Then you start to change things and we’re just supposed to take it?”
“Yeah?” he said. “Okay, I’ll walk away. Hopper can take over or hell, give it straight to Murray. He’s the one that wanted it so bad after Hop was taken. See how you fare under his alphaship. If you guys have no loyalty to me, I’ve got none to you.”
He shook his head and walked away.
“Steve!” she cried. “Wait!”
Steve whirled back to face her. “What? You wanted me gone, so I’m leaving.”
“Of course I don’t want you to leave!” she huffed. “God, that wasn’t what I meant at all.”
“No?” he growled. “Because that’s what it fucking sounded like Nancy. What? You think Jonathan would be a better fit?” Nancy didn’t answer but her look said it all. “Because let me tell you, the Byers boys are the best of us, but both are straight up pacifists. They would make for terrible alphas.”
Nancy refused to look at him.
“And besides,” Steve finished with a smug grin, “Jonathan would back me in a fight for alpha, not challenge me and you fucking know it.”
She let out a long sigh. “God, how did you get so smart?”
“I’ve always been, thanks,” he huffed. “School stuff? I’m absolute shit at, but leadership and knowing the right play for the whole team? That comes as naturally to me as breathing. I don’t know it’s all the sports or if I was good at sports because of the natural ability to lead. Either way, there is no adult male in this pack better suited for alphaship and you can’t argue that.”
She looked up and stomped her foot. “I hate it when you’re right.”
“You better get used to it,” Steve said with a wink. “It’s going to happen a lot.”
Nancy clenched her fists and set her jaw. “You are the best leader for the pack as much as it literally pains me to say it, but you have to understand that all we saw was how rich and popular you were in high school. Captain of several teams, friends with Tommy and Carol even though you weren’t pack. King Steve. And then you come back to the pack after high school and the first chance you get you challenge for alpha and fucking win. That fight with Murray was the most brutal fight I’ve ever seen.”
Steve cocked his head to the side. “In what way?”
“You don’t fight like a wolf, even in wolf form,” she muttered. “You don’t even fight like an animal most of the time. It’s like... the wolf is only a vessel for you. Instead of being ingrained into your psyche like it is for the rest of us, you are still aware. You fight the way a human would if suddenly given four legs and a tail. It’s frightening to watch.”
He blinked as he thought about the implications of that. “I don’t have the socialization of a wolf pack, so I fight and think differently. That’s why everyone is worried about where I’ll take the pack. Because you think I’ll try to separate you from your wolf.”
Nancy bit her lower lip. “Exactly that.”
Steve nodded and then transformed. “So teach me how to be a wolf.”
She smiled and transformed, too. Maybe they weren’t friends, but they could be allies and Steve was okay with that.
****
Nancy had learned a lot that day. About Steve and why he didn’t know how to be a wolf and it was a secret she would take to her grave. She learned that she was only the fourth person ever to know about what really went on at the Franklins. Behind Wayne; who was there; Robin, his best friend; and Eddie, his boyfriend.
And if Steve was to be believed, and she had no reason not to, Wayne had told Eddie, not him.
So she was the second person Steve had personally told and that was a lot of trust he had placed in her.
But it also stirred memories in her mind of the day the pack had been informed that the Harrington’s were dead and that Steve was going to be living with another couple until he came of age.
She had been pretty young herself, but she remembered how Wayne and Hopper had almost come to blows about it.
Hopper had yelled that the pack was as safe as houses and Wayne said the house was a condemned building.
She remembered it because she thought the phrase was hilarious. But regardless there was someone else who was there. Someone who was fighting to keep Steve in the pack, but she couldn’t remember.
Nancy rubbed her forehead between her eyebrows as she thought.
She shook her head.
She had bigger fish to fry. Steve’s threat about banishing those that had threatened his alphaship had stirred up a lot of feelings in the pack that she as female alpha had to try and smooth out.
The pack had only banished two people ever since Hopper had taken over the remains of the shattered Harrington pack after Wayne had torn them to literal pieces.
Just then she heard an argument break out. Josh had been swapped out for Chase and she could hear his raised voice.
“What the fuck were you thinking, Pat?!” Chase hissed. “Joining these flea-bitten mongrels?”
Nancy frowned. Maybe Chase should have come to the compound first, rather than Josh, because it sounded like Chase had been overly influenced by Billy’s style.
“How about not dying?” Patrick snapped back. “Billy wasn’t going to change me and Steve was willing to try. Vampire’s don’t need consent to change you, but werewolves do. And so yeah. I fucking consented. I didn’t want to die.”
“Better dead than a werewolf,” Chase said. “Hanging out with the vamps was fun. But all this is hard work and the stench of rotting meat.”
Nancy reached a point in the woods where she could see them, but they couldn’t see her.
Patrick shook his head. “He saved me twice, Chase. Even Jason is impressed by how respectful Steve had been about the whole thing, especially since we nearly killed him.”
Chase blanched. After those six weeks at the coven, he had forgotten the reason for the whole exchange program in the first place. That they could have been thrown in jail for attempted murder.
He looked down at the ground. “Shit, man. I didn’t mean it like that. Of course you’re grateful to Harrington for saving your ass. It’s just so much has changed in so little time that I loss track of all that...other bullshit.”
Patrick sighed. “I know, it all seems like it’s from another life. But Wayne has said that he’s going to recommend to the DA that we get a year of community service under his eye and it won’t go on our permanent record so we can still go to college.”
“That’s decent of him,” Chase said. “He could have made things really bad for you.”
Patrick shook his head. “I don’t know. I don’t think Jason is being genuine. He’s still angry about getting caught by Eddie Munson of all people.”
Chase frowned. The rivalry between Jason and Eddie Munson was the stuff of legends. Jason would bully the Hellfire Club kids, and Eddie would stand on table tops in the cafeteria ranting about basketball players were only good at putting big orange balls in laundry baskets.
It was actually Eddie and not Billy who had stepped in between Chrissy Cunningham and Jason when he found out she was a vampire and not some pure Christian girl who would stay at home once they were married and pump out his babies.
Chrissy could have defended herself considering how strong she was as a vampire, but Eddie had still stepped between them. Chase was sure that if the principal hadn’t walked by just then, that Jason would have decked Eddie.
“Especially now that Eddie is the same supe Chrissy is,” he said slowly.
Patrick nodded. “I worry he’s going to get caught up in something that might get himself killed.”
“Jason is such a bone head,” Chase said shaking his head. “Why did we follow this guy again?”
Patrick threw back his head and laughed. “Because he was captain of the basketball team, dating the head cheerleader, and hot as fuck.”
Chase let out a startled snorted. “Yeah, okay. You’ve got me there.”
They moved away from the clearing and there was a tap on Nancy’s shoulder.
She yelped and whirled around, coming face to face with Murray.
“Jesus!” she hissed, putting her hand on her chest as she fought to catch her breath.
“You shouldn’t be eavesdropping on people,” he said with a smarmy smile.
She returned his smile with a tight lipped version of her own. “Well, you would only know I was eavesdropping, if you were doing the same thing. A bit pot calling the kettle black, don’t you think?”
He tilted his head and regarded her with interest. “I can see why Steve would chose you as his alpha female. So smart. Just don’t go digging holes you can’t jump out of.”
He slipped into the shadows of the woods and she felt a shiver down her spine.
She had been so wrapped up in the drama with Steve that she had neglected her duties as alpha female.
Well that changed today. She would get to the bottom of this and give Steve her full support. Like a proper female alpha.

The Dog Next Door by Paryton
@the-winged-doe
Rating: Explicit
108,868 words, 18/37 chapters
Archive Warning: Graphic Depictions of Violence
Tags: Alternate Universe - Canon Divergence, Alternate Universe - Urban Fantasy, it's the usual upside-down fare with a side order of magic and shapeshifting basically, Dog Shapeshifter Steve Harrington, Hellhound Robin Buckley, Eddie Munson Has Powers, Nancy Wheeler Has Powers, Character Study, Coming of Age, supernatural coming of age to be specific, Slow Burn, Getting Together, Sharing a Bed, Magical Bondliar revealed, (it's the dog), (he's lying about being a dog), Monster Steve Harrington, Good Babysitter Steve Harrington, Protective Steve Harrington, Bisexual Steve Harrington, Queer Eddie Munson, Minor Character Death, Body Horror, Blood and Injury, Blood Magic, Hurt/Comfort, Angst with a Happy Ending, Insecurity, suicide attempt mentions (it's just for one chapter tho), smut in later chapters, Other Additional Tags to Be Added, Will Byers Has Powers, Jonathan Byers Has Powers, Werewolf Billy Hargrove, billy appears as an antagonist for a few chapters
Summary:
As far as everyone who is anyone is concerned: Steve Harrington doesn't know anything at all about monsters or other worlds. He doesn't care about the girl who died in his pool (doesn't know that that's where she died, or when she died, and certainly doesn't know how she died). He doesn't know the Byers family, outside of that one confrontation that left him eating shit on the pavement, and he certainly doesn't know the intricacies of how Will Byers died and then didn't die at all actually. The mysterious stray dog who saved Will Byers and helped recover Barb's body, on the other hand? Well, that guy is In The Know and a local hero to boot, at least among those who are also In The Know. Steve tells himself that it's stupid to be jealous of his own alter ego. That it's better everyone not know, that they wouldn't believe him even if he tried to explain. But fuck if it doesn't make things complicated.

Thinking about the Monster-Hunter ABO Ronance AU again...
I know I have quite a few of these AUs, but I just love the idea of oblivious werewolf-Robin falling in love with secret monster-hunter Nancy, and being caught totally off-guard when she discovers her first girlfriend- her first kiss- her first partner- the person she thought was going to eventually become her mate, has actually been the very hunter tracking her for the last few months ever since Robin's family moved back to Hawkins after spending years traveling the country.
Robin was cursed with lycanthropy since birth. After her pregnant mother was bitten by what park rangers thought was an unusually aggressive wolf during a camping trip, Robin began shifting soon after her seventh birthday. To hide their daughter, the Buckley's went on an extended road trip- traveling to remote locations and doing odd jobs for cash until Robin managed to tame her 'wolfy' side.
After her 16th birthday, Robin convinces her parents that she's got it under control and they travel back to Hawkins. She starts school, joins band, and tries to make friends.
She fails miserably at the social aspect of high school. She's awkward and quiet, never mind the fact that she can't seem to stop putting her foot in her mouth. Things get worse when she presents as an omega, one of the few in their year, but the other students still seem weary of her.
She's not sure what to make of Nancy Wheeler and Steve Harrington. When she first started, they were dating. But romance apparently doesn't always work out, and they allegedly break up on Halloween after a blowout fight at some girl's party. Nancy starts dating Jonathan Byers for a bit afterwards, much to the student body's shock, but even that doesn't last more than a few months.
In May, they're paired together for a partner-project. The final for their creative-writing class. The teacher wants a fake newspaper story, a big one that's well thought out. If there's one thing Robin's good at, it's reading. Her bookshelves at home are filled with the numerous novels she's collected over the course of her family's travels, and it turns out that Nancy's pretty damn good at writing. They finish the assignment within a week, well before the due date, and decide to spend their remaining free time for the period in the library, talking quietly and getting to know each other.
Nancy's an alpha- a really attractive one too. Robin can't help the knot of affection that grows inside her- she can't help the crush that starts to develop. By mid-May, she's hopeless. Nancy Wheeler is all she can think of, and Robin's never felt this strongly about anyone before. It's scary and exciting- it's thrilling and terrifying. It's everything the teen flicks she's been watching said it would be.
And that's what scares her most of all. Because she's not a safe option for Nancy- she's not even a real option for Nancy. As far as Robin knows, Nancy's never shown interest in girls, not even omega girls. There were rumors about Barbara, Nancy's missing friend from last year, but that wasn't a topic Robin felt comfortable bringing up.
That's why it's such a shock when Nancy abruptly asks her to Prom next week during lunch, almost shyly handing Robin a small bouquet of flowers and a little stuffed teddy bear holding up a sign that says - Prom?
Robin can't believe it. For a horrible moment, she wonders if it's a prank- if Nancy's just messing with her like some other students have tried to, but that feeling is quickly chased away by the tenderness in Nancy's scent, by the adoration she sees in the shorter girl's eyes.
She says yes, blushing deeply when Nancy leans up and presses a kiss to her cheek in gratitude, before informing Robin that she'll be giving her a ride home today after school.
Later on, Robin skips into her house with giddiness running up her spine. She meets her parents with a wide grin, showing off the gifts she got from Nancy's prom proposal, and eagerly informing them that she really thinks Nancy truly likes her! She might finally have a girlfriend!
Meanwhile, Nancy watches Robin hop inside, staring after her with a expression that slowly goes blank. She drives back to her house, parking in the driveway and fishing out a worn leather journal from her bag. She flips through the pages and makes a quick notation under a page labeled Robin Buckley. The paper's doted with little facts and observations she's picked up on about the eccentric omega.
Then she reaches under her seat and retries the walkie, clicking it on and checking in with the group. She confirms that Robin accepted her offer, and that she doesn't seem to suspect anything suspicious. The kids all talk rapidly at her over the radio, and Nancy merely rolls her eyes and climbs out of the station wagon, telling them she'll be down in the basement soon and that they'll go over the details then.
Her eyes catch sight of a rumpled flannel hazardly cast into the back seat, recognizing the shirt as belonging to Robin. She'd worn it over a tee-shirt earlier in the day, before it got too warm for double layers.
Robin's scent, sweet and earthy, drifts into her nostrils. Her inner alpha purrs with contentment, something she hasn't felt in a long time, and the feeling of guilt and wrongness ease into her soul.
Nancy knows what she's doing is bad- she knows it's not fair to Robin. But if they're suspicions are true, it won't matter anyway.
Werewolves were monsters, and Nancy firmly believed that the only good monster was a dead one.

Neither of you were quite sure how it happened, but your latest hunt had led you into the home of a witch. Low-hanging ferns and wind chimes and twinkly lights filled the area, the scent of frankincense heavy in the small space.
"Don't mind the smell," she'd said, "Figured I should cast some sort of protection over my home with that thing running loose."
After talking with the woman for a while, you and Jonathan had both silently come to a mutual conclusion: that this thing was a werewolf, and a rabid one at that, and it wouldn't stop until it had consumed as much blood as possible.
"Would you mind if we grabbed a bottle of water?" you asked, standing up from your spot on the lumpy sofa.
The witch shook her head. "Not at all, dear. Kitchen's just through that doorway. I think I'm gonna go have a quick smoke out on the porch." Your brows furrowed at her statement, but she quickly rebutted, "I'll be fine. I keep a gun by the door and I'll use my frankincense spray to help ward him off."
And with that, she was headed out the front door, leaving you and Jonathan to yourselves.
"You thinking what I'm thinking?" Jon asked, leading the way into the kitchen.
"Werewolf?" you asked, arms folding in front of your chest.
He gave you a quick nod, opening the fridge and pulling out two water bottles. "Yeah, and a rabid one at that."
"Which means there's probably another one close by that gave it to him," you commented. You quickly grabbed one of the bottles from him and took a long drag of the liquid. It had been hours since you'd stopped for food or drink or gas, and the water was like nectar from the gods to your desperate and deprived taste buds.
Jonathan chuckled at your behavior, but took a long drink from his own bottle. After gulping down the liquid, he concurred, "That's what I'm thinking too."
"So, how do we find them?"
He shrugged. "Wait. The wolves around here only come out at night so we wait until sundown, then hope to God that we're right about where they're hunting."
After a few minutes had passed, the lady had joined you back in the house, leading the two of you back into the living room. As the conversation carried on, you started to feel a strange, warm tingle in your belly. You attempted to shake off the feeling, but your body heat picked up and the feeling grew stronger.
"Jon," you whispered into his ear, "can we please go? I'm not feeling well."
Jonathan had a sort of flushed look to his face, and you assumed he must've been experiencing a feeling similar to yours. As you stood, he quickly side-stepped behind you, almost strategically placing you in front of him.
You both managed a rushed goodbye before heading out to the car, the warmth in your stomach quickly turning into a feeling you could identify— arousal.
The ride was silent, save for the tape playing quietly on the radio. Your legs clenched together involuntarily as a familiar wetness formed between them. Curiosity got the better of you as you looked over at Jon, who was white-knuckling the steering wheel like his life depended on it.
You came to a stop at the end of the nearly abandoned road, no other cars in sight as Jonathan approached the stop sign. He shot you a quick look, trying to act as casual as he could. "You alright?"
You swallowed the hard lump in your throat, nodding much more enthusiastically than you should have. "Yeah, I'm totally fine." A heavy silence took over the air for a couple seconds before you awkwardly asked, "What about you?"
He quickly nodded as well, avoiding eye contact with you. "Yeah, I'm good."
Another round of heavy silence came over the small space, Jonathan opting to break it by clearing his throat. He mumbled something to himself as he started to take off again, the car gradually gliding toward a speed bump.
You tried your best to hold it in, but it was almost compulsory the way a moan flew out of you when the speed bump caused your jeans to hit your core in just the right spot.
Jonathan hit the brakes right there in the middle of the road, an erratic look coming across his face. "You too?!" he asked in surprise.
You knew it would do you no good to lie, not after the way your mouth had just betrayed you. "You think she put something in that water?"
Sweat was cascading down both of your faces, each of your breathing already speeding up. "I don't know," he answered, his expression changing to one of shyness. "What are we gonna do?"
You thought for a moment, quickly going over your options. You could wait it out, but that might be miserable. You supposed you could pull over and one of you go into the woods, discreetly giving you both time to get yourselves off, but that would chance one of you getting taken by something in that clearly haunted forest. The third option was one you truly hated to think, but you supposed it might be your best bet.
"Quick, get me that dropper out of the trunk. It's in the case with my dagger."
He pulled off to the side of the road, giving you a questioning look. "Why-"
You all but pushed him out of the car, urging him to not ask questions. While he grabbed the dropper, you unscrewed the lid to both bottles of water. When he got back, you dropped a tiny dab of the liquid in the tube down into the bottles of water. You watched as the water turned a bright sapphire blue, knowing all too well what it meant.
"Fuck," you exclaimed exasperatedly, your hand meeting your temple.
Jonathan met you with a confused look, brows furrowed tight together. "What? What does that mean?"
"That bitch gave us a serum of desire."
"A what?"
You sighed, though you couldn't ignore the growing feeling of arousal as you looked into his eyes. "It's a potion to make us realize our deepest desires."
He went from confused to downright dumbfounded. "So, our deepest desire is… each other?" You nodded in reply. "Well, what do we do?"
"We have no choice but to confront our deepest desire. It's the only way it'll wear off."
The two of you sat in silence for a moment, shock and lust wafting through the air as heavily as the frankincense had earlier. You tried to think of any other way to make the potion wear off, but deep down, you knew there was only one way to get rid of this feeling.
"So…" he said, the word lingering.
"So…" you repeated.
Jonathan was the first to make a move, which surprised you, given his hatred of confrontation. "Can I… kiss you? I-In the backseat?"
He didn't have to ask twice. You were practically shoving him into the tiny backseat, climbing on top of him in record speed. The idea of doing this with him had you embarrassed, given your practically life-long crush on the man, but at the current moment, the serum was working hard to dilute all thoughts of rationality.
Your lips connected, heavy breaths flowing out of your mouth and into his as his hands landed on your waist. He pulled you down the expanse of his thigh, guiding your center along his denim-clad leg. Your hips were grinding all on their own, a moan slipping from your kiss-swollen lips as your jeans brushed your clit just right.
"Do you wanna," he started to say, being cut off by a needy kiss, "get off like this? Because this," another kiss, "is perfectly fine to me."
You shook your head, your tongue slipping between his parted lips as you continued humping his leg, your pleasure already nearing its peak. "Need more, please."
Your fingers slipped into his hair, tugging at the light brown strands and eliciting an absolutely beautiful noise from the man underneath you. You wanted to bottle that noise up and play it on repeat for hours, music to your ears.
He made quick work of his jeans, sliding them down just enough to release his cock. You moaned at the sight, torn between taking it in your mouth or putting it exactly where you needed it. The latter won as you made quick work of your own pants, Jonathan letting out another one of those gorgeous sounds at the sight of your wetness.
Without any resistance on your part, he was lowering you down his length, his head falling back against the car door. "Oh, holy fuck," he sighed, his eyes going glassy. Your hands moved to his bangs, moving the sweat-sticky hair away from his eyes to give you both an unobstructed view of each other.
You were the first to move, nearly cumming right then as the head of his cock brushed against that wonderful spot inside of you. Labored breaths filled the air as the two of you began to create the perfect rhythm between your bodies, his balls slapping against you every time you slid back down his length.
Your lips reconnected as you rocked up and down on him, tongues roaming freely inside one another's mouth. The car was undeniably rocking, anyone who drove past would know exactly what you were doing, but the slight movement had him bucking up into you even harder, and secretly you were thankful you'd decided to do this here.
Your hand roamed down to one of his, bringing his calloused fingers to your clit. "Touch me, right there, please," you all but begged, guiding his fingertips in the exact rhythm you craved them.
The pad of his thumb was rough, but only brought your orgasm closer. His opposite hand moved to grab the supple skin of your hip, guiding you along his cock and bringing him closer to the edge as well.
Your own hands gripped his shoulders for dear life as your climax washed over you, your cunt sucking him deeper inside you as your legs began to shake. "Shit, Jonathan," you whined, your hips speeding in hopes of bringing him to his own release.
"Fuck, where do you need it?" he groaned, his dick throbbing inside of you.
"What?" you breathed heavily, still working yourself through possibly the best orgasm you'd ever felt.
"Can I cum inside you?" he asked, somewhere between begging and demanding.
All words left your body as his finger continued to work at your swollen clit, so you simply opted for a nod of the head.
As if on cue, he was filling you up with every last drop of his seed, both of your bodies falling limp against each other. "Oh, my God," he sighed, his breath hot as it fanned around your ear.
The serum was already wearing off your body, realizing what you'd done. You wanted to enjoy this moment, to just be with him, but you couldn't deny the logical thoughts that had started to flood back into your mind. "Oh, my God," you repeated, nearly a whisper as you lay on his chest.
"We really just did that, didn't we?" he asked, a hand moving up to brush softly over your hair.
You let out a soft, amused huff as your eyes finally met his again. You swore you saw his eyes sparkling as he looked at you, an expression of adoration coming over his features. "I guess we did," you laughed lightly.
"Are you mad about it?" Jon asked, his tone seeming genuine.
This time, your brows furrowed. "Why would I be mad?"
He chuckled, leaning to kiss your cheek. "Just checking to see if you'll kill me the next time I ask to kiss you in the backseat of my car."
Another amused giggle fell from your lips. "I wouldn't dare. You're too valuable to kill, no matter if we enjoyed ourselves back here or not."
A playful pout flashed across his face. "Are you saying you didn't enjoy yourself? Because it seemed to me," he paused, moving to suck a harsh kiss on your collarbone, eliciting a gasp from you, "like you were really, really enjoying yourself."
"How long until sundown?" you asked, all breath escaping your lungs for what felt like the hundredth time that day.
Jonathan spared a quick glance at his watch. "Probably another half hour, maybe forty-five minutes if we're lucky."
"Better make it count, then."

Can I ask you a kinda weird question? What do you think steddie and the party would be as a supernatural creatures? My headcanon is Vampire Eddie and Succubus Steve, but I'm open to discussion. 😁
hello this is a FANTASTIC question
I love the idea of a succubus Steve, but also like? Siren Steve? This might explain his affinity for water, maybe he basks in his pool a lot and unfortunately that becomes extremely cursed for him Post Barb. He's the son of two beautiful, supernaturally charming people who learned how to show people exactly what they want, become exactly what they want. Steve is pretty and handsome and terrible and sweet and exactly what you expect from him, right up until he isn't.
I like the idea of a werewolf Robin, and also Max. Robin's larger and ganglier, and spends the full moon curled around Steve and growling at anyone who gets close. Max is a puppy, and a grumbly one, and Lucas ends up with a very determined guard dog. Robin also gets bizzarely territorial over Steve's house, for someone who doesn't live there. Her whole family scent Steve constantly, and he's thrilled about the extra cuddles.
I like the idea of Lucas and Erica being from magical heritage, old school witches who go very different with their practices. Lucas does very practical magic; makes little charms for his friends, for protection and strength and peace. Erica leans more towards big enchantments; she's real pissed about Steve's natural charisma.
Dustin is a very human person, who can and WILL science his way into magic.
Nancy and Mike, I waffle on. Maybe fae-blooded? Diluted enough that they can dwell here, won't get hunted down by either court. But still fae enough that Nancy has an almost pathological need to get to the truth, that she won't stand for illusions, that she chafes against Steve and his automatic charisma and the lies he lures people in with, almost thoughtlessly. She and Mike are deadly territorial over their kin, over those they've decided are theirs. Losing Barb made her absolutely inconsolable. Mike is much the same. They get it from Karen, who got it from her mother, who got it from hers. Ted Wheeler is an extremely mundane dude.
Will is a shapeshifter, all the Byers are. He likes to be small, unassuming animals, and so does Jonathan. Turns into a mouse or a grass snake and hides in his brother's pocket, up his mom's sleeve.
Eddie is a son of a vampire, came into his bloody heritage honestly. Wayne, his uncle on his mothers' side, is extremely human and had to learn real fast how to raise a bloodthirsty kid. He has raw steak in the freezer and teaches his kid how to hunt. He also has bloodpops in the freezer for summer days when Eddie gets lethargic and whiny.
He absolutely develops a weird obsession with Steve Harrington And His Summer-Sunshine-Salty Blood. Robin Buckley tries to eat him about it one time when he leans in too close for a sniff one day at Scoops.
Hopper is extremely human and extremely done with the supernatural side of things on this goddamn town.
El was human, once. They don't know what she is. She smells wrong, to most of them. Reads weird to their magic, to others. They love her anyway.

They pop and sizzle when they hit the flames, briefly filling the air with a spiced, earthy smell.
“This close?” The stranger looks at him, eyebrows raised. He’s got such an expressive face, Steve almost wants to seize him by the cheeks and see how he can stretch it, press it, what shapes it might make in his hands. “How close?”
“To Hallow’s Eve?” Steve loses track of days out here, so he has to retrace the last few sunsets, how many of them have passed since he last waved goodbye to Robin as he brought out the flock. “I don’t know… a week? Little less?”
“That soon,” the man says quietly. Stares into the fire, expressive face gone still. “Almost out of time.”
