BBAA en Savannah College of Art & Design en 1993, master en BBAA Mason Gross School of the Arts en Rutgers University en 2003.

Wendy White crea obras de técnica mixta, incorporando letreros de escaparates en desuso, fotografías manipuladas digitalmente y objetos encontrados en lienzos pintados con acrílico y aerosol. Lo que intenta la artista es capturar la exuberancia de Nueva York, que es donde vive y su tema principal. White ve la ciudad como un palimpsesto, con sus calles y estructuras que revelan las marcas físicas de millones de personas y cientos de años de uso. Sus lienzos están superpuestos con fragmentos de textos, imágenes, y pinceladas gestuales, todo basado en sus observaciones de su entorno urbano. Ella describe su trabajo como “una experiencia híbrida en la que la pintura y la escultura se unen junto con edificios y calles, de la forma en que se siente caminar por una ciudad masiva, arquitectura olvidada, nuevos letreros”.

Habiendo estudiado arte y diseño, combina en su arte conocimientos de moda, diseño, pintura y otras ramas artísticas.  Sigue un estilo urbano con influencias retro pero buscando generar una sensación futurista. Ha trabajado también la instalación y no se limita en cuanto materiales, usando en su obra, tela, trozos de objetos, pintura, sprays de graffity…

Es una obra joven y rebelde, que utiliza elementos de la cultura pop y comercial así como elementos de su vida personal y cotidiana. Se caracteriza por utilizar colores y formas fuertes, usando figuras recononcibles dentro de un arte que aún así toca lo abstracto también.
