Details I Noticed in Dandadan!
Today is number #7 of this series I made and to be honest with you, I have not expected this to gain so many attraction! And for that I thank you sincerely.
Now! For today's topic isss;

The different Aura that effected people!
The anime made Aura's to be this bundle of energy inside you and honestly it's not wrong to say that.
Although by this entire page, you can probably see what I'm talking about.
Aura in the universe of Dandadan is weird, to me at least. It's easy to understand once you know, but it became a little bit more confusing once you factor in momo's power.
Keep in mind that no one else actually can see Aura, I think, even the spirit's can't really see them, they just know that it's there. I think.
Seiko (our standard for anything supernatural, not counting aliens) need to use the mirror and a bucket of water to look inside, it probably means her seeing their aura.
And for all we know, the people that is spiritually aware so far, can't see aura either.
Now, as presented before, we can see how okarun's aura and seiko's aura is different through Momo's eyes.

One engulfed the entirety of their being, while another just sit calmly in the middle of their body.
Although the anime makes it an emphasis using the colors instead. It's kind off clear on the reason why.
Okarun, at that point in time is still cursed, while Seiko is fine with no problem whatsoever. However, when we see Other spirit Aura such as acro-silky

Just like in this page, it looks similar to how a normal aura would look! (Although in the anime they made okarun's(first cursed), turbo granny's, and acro-silky's aura have more black to emphasis the difference between human and spirits, or is it yokai?)
So, with this I made a conclusion that only people not spirits or yokai that are actively being cursed are the ones engulfed in Aura like Okarun. Of course I couldn't be sure 100%, since in the manga, I don't believe we've seen another cursed person just yet. Honestly I hope we see more on how momo's power interact with aura
However! Some of you may say "but Op what about when turbo granny cursed him a second time? Wouldn't that means that his aura would still engulfed him??"
Worry not! Since I do have theory!
As we know, the panel I gave you are the panels in which okarun's was first cursed, having his entire balls and schlong taken. Even with turbo granny stating it clear that yes, this kid is cursed, and yes you have to face me if you want the cursed uplifted
For the second time however, it was when they (kind off) succeed with beating turbo granny, at this point they believe that okarun's fine and well, his organs are back and everything can go back to normal.
That is of course up until he realize his balls are missing.
A major difference in here are the fact that for the first time; turbo granny actually does take his organs with the intention to cursed him.
While for the second one, turbo granny have the intention to stay hidden in okarun's body, so that she could recover while still being hidden.
This is what I think majorly contributed to the fact that okarun's aura isn't engulfing him when he's cursed a second time.
The fact that turbo granny doesn't want to be found.
"Then what about when Granny's power is stuck in him??"
Well looky here;

As you witness I think it probably has the same principle as when okarun's was possessed, but of course without the direct physical changes from turbo granny.
Man, that was long!
Please reminded that this is all for fun, and I did this all by myself without any help!
And may I remind you! This series is for things I wondered/ noticed! Not just the things you might missed, but also things that makes my head spins for a looongg time!
As always, see you in my next post, and I loved to see your own spin on my take. And of course, in a respectful way that is
Welp, that's it for now! Buh byeee!
#dandadan#dan da dan#seiko ayase#ken takakura#momo ayase#okarun#granny seiko#the joke about okarun's balls will never make me not at least smile#i could still go on about this you know

GOD DAYUM
So the part 5 thing huh? Welp IT'S GOOD I LOVE IT
Because X is my blorbo I just wanted to point out some things here
MMMMMMMM HE HAS LONG HAIR??? I mean *looks at my posts* long hair fits him absolutely [Still not sure if he has long hair or not but looks like he has his hair tied in a ponytail or in a bun, I don't know it just looks like it on the second image]
[oh and also he called him "Doc" again, instead of Docm which I don't know what could mean in this situation yet, but one day it'll probably make sense as we get more parts]
This Etho right here looks either terrified or confused, and I think it's because
X is going to go absolutely crazy and he's scared that X is now in control [based on the "you dropped your crown king'' caption that might refer to Etho who isn't the attacker anymore but could also refer to Xisuma which I'll explain later]
or
2. He finally snapped back into his senses
or
3. he sees X without his helmet for the first time and his good 'ol computer brain is like '??????? Who tf is that"
"you dropped your crown king" could also refer to X as his helmet got destroyed in process [being the crown] and from what I know, we don't know the reason for why X wears helmet in this AU. The most popular headcannon for his armour and helmet is that he's a voidwalker and can't breathe in the overworld, we don't know if it's a thing in this AU but if it is that could mean that now he's powerless, he "dropped his crown" - he became weaker, powerless against his enemy. Also Doc looks kinda scared, or maybe just surprised after seeing X's face for probably first time. [if he's scared, then he's probably aware of Xisuma's condition when it comes to air]
NESTLE CRUNCH
But also poor Doc he looks horrified
ALSO
*looking for lore through old posts* huh these seem familiar... WAIT
AND THE DATE THOSE WERE POSTED
[it's in Polish sorry, but it says 13th October]
SO THE COMIC HAS BEEN SKETCHED OUT SO EARLY?? Damn those really take long to do, I mean I was aware of that fact but It's been like 3 months since those sneak peeks have been posted and WOW THAT'S A WHOLE LOT OF MOTIVATION YOU HAVE HERE SHEP
[also only now noticed how in this panel Etho's body sketch is red as a sign that he's the danger in Doc's eyes and Xisuma's is green/blue. Oh and in the first sketch X didn't have his hair visible in the visor hee hee ]
So yes, loved it, even if there were only 3 images I still think it's amazing ! We got to see your Xisuma a bit [he- he handsome -makes big eyes]
Sorry for the long ask again!! just!! excited!!
Now I'm going into my drawing cave as I'm full of inspiration already bye bye <333
(also also to reiterate, I have no idea how long part 6 will take since I just kinda have rough storyboarding for the rest of the comic, and classes just started up again— this is my exhibition semester so most of my drawing energy will be prioritized for my grad gallery… we will wait to see how much energy I have left by the day for destruction :3)
ALSO ALSO ALSO! “You dropped your crown king” was absolutely me trying to find a silly caption for what’s supposed to be a serious/dramatic part of the story while also referencing the fact that Xisuma’s helmet shattered/fell off— there are many conspiracies and clues to be had here but I just wanted to clarify that that line is not one of them SFKDFGHJ
I will therefore also not directly respond to anything else being discussed here BUT thank you as always for sharing your theories and analysis!! It always makes my day >:D

@genopsychos thanks for asking about lightsaber colours! now I get to yap about them lol
welcome to my NOT simplified list of my interpretation of lightsaber colours (based on the the interpretation that lightsaber colours depend on ones relationship with/interpretation of the force)
warning: if you prefer the theory that lightsaber colours don't mean anything in particular this post is not for you! if you prefer that that's totally cool, I just think that's boring lol
if we take the fact that the three most recognizable and common lightsabers are blue, red and green and base the rest of the colours off of these three "force mindsets" we can make a whole fun range of perspectives! which I love because it allows more freedom for self expression among Jedi :)
so! for a visual aid I use a color wheel
so far these guys are canon :
💙 blue = prefers most to use means of physical combat to solve problems, they can be powerful in the force but they like to use their lightsaber first (I don't blame em)
💚 green = prefers to rely on their force abilities before relying on combative means to solve problems, they usually meditate before making any rash decisions and value the will and their connection to the force very much
♥️ red = a crystal that was bleed, that means that the user has taken the crystal and put all their intense negative emotions into it. hate, anger and grief are all emotions that are used in the process. this is actually surprisingly difficult to do depending on how intense your emotions are at the time, it's also possible to crack your crystal if you bleed it to much, you'd need a modified saber like Kylo Ren if that's the case (if you keep cracking it tho, you'd blow up and die sooo yeah)
💛 yellow = values academia and non Jedi related skills more, they might learn slicing (hacking), code cracking it literally any practical skill, they make the best spies and you're about as likely to see a yellow lightsaber as you are to see a purple one, not because they're that rare to have but because they rarely get to the point where they gotta use em
💜 purple = best described as the middle point between blue and red, an extremely rare balance between the light and dark sides, if the light side is walking and the dark side is running this is speed walking, way harder to do than you think, also these guys are huge gatekeepers and for good reason, you could become consumed by the dark side very fast
🤍 white = a healed red crystal, it usually says a lot about your character seeing as it's not easy to heal something that was so corrupted. characters with white lightsabers usually are a little unorthodox and defer from the more traditional way of the Jedi, that said a Jedi in the order can have this color
🧡 orange = dark jedi most likely this one's a little iffy, it's not possible to 'half bleed a crystal' (in canon anyways but I got my theories), similarly to white crystal users, these Jedi are very separate to the traditional Jedi, except these guys are a little more towards the dark side, not like purple lightsabers where they dance on the line, they kinda just stand next to it.
lime green: yellow and green, balance between force abilities and academic/practical abilities (thank ahsoka's shoto for opening the door to a bunch of hybrid color possibilities!)
let's get to the non canon ones now:
these are totally speculation and vibes
any color but a little more dusty ≈ a disconnection to the force
pink ≈ iconic girlie vibes
magenta ≈ pink and purple, girlie who can balance both light and dark
cyan ≈ green and blue so a balance between force abilities and lightsaber combat
I think the rest are self explanatory since the colours are just combos from now on.
welp thanks for reading if you got this far! 😁. im chill with answering more questions if need be

bucks soot covered face coming out has three possibilities:
1. they were kissing for so long buck almost forgot why they were there, so when he realized he just turned around, grabbed tommy’s hand and ran to the room. so tommy didn’t see it to comment on it.
2. tommy pointed it out and buck went “what a hilarious way to come out, mark me up more my beast of a man”
3. like you said, they tried to wipe it, it just made it worse (since it’s covering like half of bucks face, how would a heavy kiss do that?) and buck just went fuck it, this is how i come out i guess.
but tommy seeing it and not saying anything is so unlikely cause we’ve been shown, he’s hella considerate towards buck. he’s very sweet, wanting to take it slow, not pressure him, etc, etc. people do be reaching to make my man (tommy) toxic, wild.
tbh I think he might've rubbed his face into Tommy's like a cat and that's why it looks so messy lmao
but yeah, no chance in hell that Tommy saw and said nothing. the closest scenario I can imagine is him trying to say something, but Buck being the eager puppy that he is just tugging him along because he "already kept him too long" and not letting Tommy get a word in edgewise lmao
but yeah people don't even need an excuse to hate Tommy, they just make shit up when... the thing is, you can just not like the character and leave it at that, you know?
you don't have to come up with outlandish theories and spend time to post about a character/ship you don't like, you can just mute the tag, shut up about it and let other people have fun. of course that'd require people to not be miserable cunts and well... this is still tumblr dot com, after all.
welp, at least it's not twitter, I guess.

I posted my take on the Lightsinger theory and Gwyn's "luring" powers theory on Reddit two days ago but thought I'll reshare it here (with some additional thoughts)
The only canon information we have on Lightsingers:
Nesta winced. Cassian went on as she scanned the bog, "There are lightsingers: lovely, ethereal beings who will lure you, appearing as friendly faces when you are lost. Only when you're in their arms will you see their true faces, and they aren't fair at all. The horror of it is the last thing you see before they drown you in the bog. But they kill for sport, not food."
Does this correlate with anything Gwyn did in ACOSF? The answer is no.
I am not saying it is impossible for her to be a Lightsinger though where things stand it's unlikely in my opinion, but I'd attribute any potential powers either singing or glowing to her River Nymph heritage. We have no idea of her powers and she's also half High Fae of course she'll have powers like every other High Fae.
I think a lot of the "canon evidence" are different interpretations of the text but sometimes try to present itself as concrete evidence or proof when it isn't. Some attribute her singing during the services as the cause to Nesta having vision of the Prison and the Harp, but that also means we will have to ask what connection is there between Lightsingers and the Prison/Harp? And some believe it's the lyrics that trigger the vision as they're written in the ancient language and "Nesta saw what the song spoke of". Some believe Nesta power reacting to the crackling energy around Gwyn is a sign that she is a Lightsinger, but like... that's an indicator she has powers just like how Nesta in a later chapter felt Merrill's ornerry power. How is crackling energy means it's a Lightsinger when we never saw them? Powers recognize each other sometimes, just like how Feyre was surprised when Eris was able to detect a cold flame in the Dagger Nesta forged when it was given to him as a gift (like calls to like, Eris also has flame power).
In the bonus chapter, it's described at one point that the Shadows danced with Gwyn's breath as if it heard some Silent MUSIC (emphasis on music and not song). What was referred to as Music between Souls? The mating bond. Interestingly enough it was that same night when Nessian consummated their bond and they were connected by a music between their souls. So that could be a hint, and at the end of the scene Azriel hears a distant beautiful singing and the shadows sing back, hard to tell whether if it's Gwyn, who went back to trying to cut the ribbon, starts to sing or it's also another wording for a hint at the mating bond (also called the Song of the Soul).
I'm more keen to believe it's the mating bond because there are far more parallels and similar mate language to support it across all her three series and if someone is going to tell me "but Lorcan's chest glowed after he took the blood oath from Aelin—" my love context matters in this case and it doesn't invalidate the 10+ examples I can pull out of similar mate language like in the bonus chapter.
To ADD, for Azriel to be lured to the library at 7pm because of said Lightsinger singing, he has to be able to HEAR the singing for the power to influence him and Azriel didn't hear any singing, he was conscious and aware of his actions. It was mentioned Nesta sang with Gwyn at the services frequently and she didn't make any comments on a vision being triggered or her constantly seeking out Gwyn so there are holes in those kind of conclusions—again, because we never see Lightsingers on page.
"But when he arrives to the library it chimed 7pm!! That's when they sing for the dusk service" welp that's another hole in the theory, it depends on Azriel being drawn to the library because of Gwyn's singing but if he showed up at the library and they don't sing until 7pm then before the clock chimes at 7pm, they weren't singing so... not a convincing answer. Also, Clotho is usually seen during those services and Azriel still found her at her desk.
Early on when ACOSF came out, some readers made connections between Lightsingers and Shadowsingers and made the assumption that Lightsingers are the Shadowsingers' Light counterparts. That's why you had people musing about Azriel's mate being a Lightsinger, but canonically Lightsingers are evil once we go back to the text but we don't even see them to know for sure how they wield their powers or if they even sing because Shadowsinger Azriel doesn't need to sing when he uses his power.
In an Elain book (in this scenario it's her and Azriel), I don't see any purpose of Gwyn being revealed as a Lightsinger or anything about her powers because it'll be used as a plot device for an Elain/Azriel romance rather than contribute to Gwyn's own growth and that's why I don't like it. It will have implications on Nesta and the Valkyries dynamic too. If that's the case it will mean Gwyn will need more page time in an Elain and Azriel book to tackle something like that, especially if they're going to "help" her since that's the reasoning I see often—that she's not evil but she doesn't know it and if she did they will help her but like... why? To make her realize she has been keeping them apart or that she wanted a necklace she didn't even have any clue about.
Given Gwyn's history who even at the end of the book said despite training it didn't erase the fact that she let her sister die, she is still dealing with survivor's guilt, she still refuses to wear the priestesses stone, and also her desire to leave the library and see the world (which we didn't see yet). She has a lot of promise as a character than be a plot device for someone else's relationship.
The way I see it, Gwyn's theoretical powers is used to absolve Azriel of any accountability for his actions (ala Necklacegate) because it's not a good look on him, so it's better to pin it on someone else by saying he was lured against his will (since I often see that the reasoning behind her presence in the bonus chapter is to hint at her powers).
So if I have to read about Gwyn dealing with her powers whether they're good or bad, I'd rather see it from her point of view and for it to be beneficial for her own personal arc and healing journey. My problem isn't her having questionable powers (which I don't mind because many SJM characters had questionable powers but used it for good), I don't want it to be used as a plot device for another couple just to smear her as a character and clear the actions of the other male character so his "love interest" doesn't blame him for his actions.
Whew, this was long but I adore Gwyn and I am not a fan of the current version of the Lightsinger theory. I think even if SJM makes it happen, it would probably play out way differently than the fandom expects.
Also, it's not in SJM's style to use other woman drama in her romances. The other women are often 💀 or insignificant past lovers. I don't see her taking that route with Gwyn at all.
She could be half Asteri and I would still love her and be eager to explore her powers and story, I just don't like it being used to further another couple's conflict or whatever (they already have Rhys and Lucien).
And no, I hate the idea of Gwyn being controlled by either Koschei or Merrill because it takes away her agency and the suggestion here is about her doing things that harms others, how will that not have any implications on Nesta and Emerie and the trio's healing journey? Given her own tragic history and the fact that she was helpless and powerless to help her twin sister and she's still dealing with survivor's guilt over it all.
"Why did you sign up for this, then?" Nesta drank the glass Gwyn extended. "If you already have mind-calming exercises you're accustomed to?"
"Because I don't ever want to feel powerless again," Gwyn said softly, and all those easy smiles and bright laughs were gone. Only stark, pained honesty shone in her remarkable eyes.
Her being controlled is putting her in a powerless position again because she has no choice but to do Koschei or "evil" Merrill's bidding that could potentially harm Nesta and the others. I despite it.
And if I have to read about any comparisons between Gwyn and Ianthe as proof that priestesses can be evil, I'll go insane.
Also, if Gwyn's power can influence anyone through her singing, it would've influenced every single person in the services. It would have influenced other members of the IC. This particular theory is weak and depends one interpretation of the text that tries to present itself as evidence of an evil creature that never even shows up on page.
Gwyn wasn't added in the bonus chapter by coincidence. Sarah confirmed she left crumbs all over the book and specifically his bonus chapter, and what we speculate may or may not be confirmed in the next book so you can't dismiss the bonus by saying it has no relevance when the author said she left crumbs for readers to theorize about, which leads me to believe she wants us to come up with different theories until she publishes the next book where we'll know for sure if we nailed it or not.

Welp, ep7 didn't kill me! ... the depression post ep might- (Theories/Rambles)
Anyways! Ep7 oh boy, it was full of surprises even for me. The animation, the intense battle scenes, everything about it was AMAZING! Of course, that's just my opinion :3 (feel free to yeet it into the stratosphere)
Get ready for word diarrhea and some shaky and loose thoughts on the ending and what may happen next. Fair warning, my theories are pretty wacky, so somethings may sound way out there. XD
Spoilers duh, oh and gore warning? Kinda?
I mean... that scary *ss mother facking thing towards the end- you know what I'm talking about if you watched the ep 😅
This puzzled me a bit, but the more I thought about it, I suppose the more it makes sense (give me a hot minute, I'm slow ok 😅).

The lockers act as a storage container for the solver drones. But what about the image from ep6? It seemed like they had free reign over the office and could come and go. Even as far as a sentinel cuddling up to Nori. But that's the thing. Later we see that Nori and Yeva were the only ones that have been the MOST successful with the absolute solver experimentation. The others, were either corrupted or were unaffected.

That means, in the time that the patches were given to the drones experimented on, was the time that they were allowed to be in the office. But as the patches and experimentation progressed, they were moved down for more security.
Soooo V. What are my thoughts on her and her whereabouts? The shot of the hall with the sentinels did not make it into the ep. Sure, it is probably fairly easy for them to get that shot. Especially if they kept the rig of the hall, throw around some sentinel bodies, and make the light go out. But this lack of V is what's making me still believe she's out there. Delusional, I know. But we don't get to see her eldrich form. This is the Absolute Solver that has been chilling in the labs, and simply recreates the hologram of all the drones it was ever a part of.

If V does not return by ep8, then I will lay her to rest properly. Until then, I'm marking her as MIA. She may be out there, she may not.
Alright, so the crucifix is also recounted as "failsafe USB (606b)" or at least that's how I see it, given the crucifix is just one fancy usb.
Now, the other time we did see the 606 was in the beginning of ep5.

wdOS_606 is basically the code that kills the drone and its core. So, effectively, that crucifix works as a kill code for the absolute solver. The timeline of events probably happened like this: Nori was showing signs of the Absolute Solver progressing much faster than any other drone the teams have worked with. One time, Nori went Absolute Solver crazy, the placement of the image that is also seen in ep6 suggests that this was the first or one of the first times Nori went rogue. The teams then decided to contain her better and suspended her by the chains, all the while waiting for the failsafe USB to be completed. At least, that was the plan. "Don't all die and almost let it out again lol. We're pretty mad but mostly scared about that." subtitle backs it up.
Now this.

This entire sequence seems rather interesting. Absolute Solver, at its best, understands emotions on logical level. Its more like a math equation for it. As in: Bad things happen = changed and more subdued personalities. But with N, I suppose it found it rather interesting to watch him. Despite all of the bad experiences he may have had, he remained his happy self. The solver even went as far as quoting him.
That type of innocence, despite the horrors he has seen and committed, most likely amused the solver. So it allowed the team to retain those personalities and traits- also knowing that it could easily get rid of them if it really wanted to.
Uzi's administration rights still hold up. It seems that in this moment, the solver attempted to completely corrupt N and have him as a mindless drone that followed orders. Buuuut Uzi's admin rights denied that, saving him from becoming the solver's puppet and being what he was back on Earth during the massacre of humans.

Eating is often referred to in this episode. Seems that I was somewhat right in regards to the Absolute Solver being the core of Copper-9 now. It has grown rather large, and taken possession of the entire planet. To maintain that, it needs sustenance. Be it in form of biological and mechanical life, or the planet itself.

So J destroyed the only means of getting off the planet, and the possibility of saving themselves or the planets for the gang- of course there's still the pod that J is using, but that will not be given up without a fight.

The issue here I have is... to whom did J give her loyalty to? Couple theories:
To Tessa- J has NO idea this is not Tessa, and is following her old boss just like in the days of the manor.
To Absolute Solver- J knows this is not Tessa, but still is loyal to it.
Issue: If number 1 is correct, then why follow through the plan with destroying the pod? It seems that was the case all along when Tessa told J to "mind her ship." Furthermore confusing to me is her comment.
Tessa: Her (Cyn) last known act was siccing you lot on other human exo-planets.
N: But why?
J: That's what we're trying to figure out, bozo.
J's line can be taken both ways. As 1- J is actually trying to figure out why Cyn is acting up. As for 2- this was simply a cover up for the whole plot.

It seems here that the drones that were previously worked on simply stayed in their lockers and their corrupted form. But that was something that made me wonder. The drones were all corrupted with the Absolute Solver to some degree. They were all given patches of the solver- some had effect and others didn't. But that still means that there were a lot of drones that had their cores corrupted and look like Heart. Here's the question.
Why didn't they simply leave? Nori's corrupted core is fully sentient, despite being possessed by the solver the most. Of course, there is the possibility that whatever Nori created in the cathedral simply took those cores and dragged them into the center. Further growing itself. Ah, well I kind of answered my own question there.

So the largest number I could count was 129 on this list. Meaning, there were at least 129 drones experimented on. Seems to follow the crazy theory I had of the Absolute Solver taking control of the core. 129 minus 2 (Nori and Yeva) cores will definitely make a great impact/engrave itself into the planet in such a way and thus manifest the corridors of flesh and hands that go all to the way to Cabin Fevers camp ground.
It also seems that the Absolute Solver, instead of being injected straight into the drones, was done in patches. Now, my knowledge in computer language and science is non-existent, but it does make me wonder. Yeva has 2.1.8 patch, while Nori was still "in progress." This either implies:
Nori had a newer patch and this was the one that caused her to go so berserk they had to restrain her in the cathedral.
Nori did not have a new patch, the one that Yeva has was the latest one and Nori simply was not faring well in the transition.
Something I noticed/finally grasped on my 3rd watch through:

Who the hell is "they?" Well, my tired brain finally decided to kick in and work. "They" were the scientists. So the crucifix was something that the humans only now figured out how to make. The kill code that would put the Absolute Solver down. That was why the Solver was on Copper-9. It needed that crucifix, so it could get rid of it. "They kept cutting my feed." Most likely referred to when the hosts would become possessed by the solver. Just as seen with Nori, the second they went crazy, it was a quick shut down, thus cutting the feed for the Absolute Solver as it tried to figure out what they were doing.
So, just as many have theorized, Nori did cause the core collapse, but not in the way that I expected it. It's rather funny that instead of this being like a full Absolute Solver possession that caused this on purpose, was simply one bad event after another. And I love the show for this. Despite having the route that the Absolute Solver could have just imploded the planet on purpose and on its own (by possessing a host), it was instead a sequence of events that is similar to humans and their downfall. Nothing orchestrated, but just a compiling effect that created one huge problematic black hole.

So this page does give some insight. The Absolute Solver sent DDs to wipe out the other solver hosts. (I'll touch on this in a different post) And the DDs were either referred to as "pets" by the Absolute Solver (which is more likely, as it called Uzi a "puppet") or a term that Nori coined. "Puppet hosts with nerfed ___ the entity-ensures control" The nerfed ___ is most likely their cores/thought process. As in, Administration CYN is what nerfed their abilities to remember anything regarding their past, and used that to control the DDs.

This was something I couldn't kind of settle with. Events wise, it can be assumed this is all happening at the same time. Just as Uzi is getting through the mine shafts and picking up the lantern, Tessa is blowing up the computer and nomming on Doll, and N is being dragged through corpse walls and being saved by Heart.
It was Doll- Although, the more I looked at this thought, the less likely this became. Doll's was intact when she came to warn Uzi, and stayed there until Tessa entity ate it towards the end of the episode. We have yet to see an instance where a core entered the Absolute Solver form and returned back to the core form without taking any damage. Specifically in J's case, the solver form was blown up and only then returned to the core form. Nothing was in the mine shafts that could have possibly injured it enough to go back to the core form and sneak back into Doll's body.
Tessa...uhh whatever the fack she is- Based off of Doll's getting attacked scene, the entity seems to have a rather quick ability in switching forms. So I wouldn't put past it that the entity attacked Doll, saw that another part of the Absolute Solver was trying to chase N down, and just went along with the rest of the solver to hunt him down.

On my first watch through, I was worried that N would go crazy from breaking rule 1 of robotics: Not to injure humans. Granted, in the first watch through, everything went so fast that I barely had any time to grasp anything. After the second watch through, it becomes quite clear and apparent. The Absolute Solver took the rules of robotics out of the DDs. I mean, how else were they supposed to attack and kill the humans back on Earth. Furthermore, Tessa was not a human. So even if N did still have the rules of robotics programmed into him, they might not have set off. Why the "might not?" Because of the sentinel. Perhaps because the sentinels were created by humans, their ai is much simpler, but when that dingo bit Tessa, it had an aneurysm. It detected blood, and thus, the ai deduced that the sentinel just injured a human and decided to alt f4 itself. Would the same happen with N? I'm not quite sure. Given that the solver programmed the DDs, it could be either instance: Take the rules out completely or enhance the rules so that blood isn't what triggers the rule breaking.

This is something that made me wonder. Did the DD trio go to any other exo-planets previously? I took this scene in two ways:
This has happened before. The solver knows that N will continue to forgive the Absolute Solver because something similar has happened before. As in, the solver is out to kill a planet, it does that, but in return sacrifices any DDs that might have been there to get rid of the potential solver hosts. The backups are booted and sent to a new planet.
This is the first time this happened, but the solver has previous experiences. Just as the solver had made N forget about his time in the mansion and the bloodbath of killing humans, it can do the same thing. Kill N, and make his backup version forget this ever happened.

This one single frame made me wonder a bit too hard. The little nulls I assumed to be miniature and contained blackholes. But then when N dove under one... there was collision? A black hole, as far as I understand (which isn't very much ;w;), is something that cannot be touched. It warps time and space, so how are you supposed to be able to touch it? But I'm quite sure my tired brain is just thinking too much about simple details.

For some odd reason, I always thought that the solver wings were more flesh, and thus couldn't take too much damage. Proven wrong again! Uzi withstood N's firing and her wings came out undamaged.

Main question for me: Why would the Absolute Solver eat the core? Specifically in drone form/possessing a host. If it was the hole that's in the cathedral, I can understand that somewhat better. But what does a solver drone gain from eating another corrupted core?
Perhaps acts as a power boost? Whatever the corrupted core can do, the powers are transfered uhh... somehow?
Simply sustenance, and a way to get rid of Heart, you're thinking too deep into this Ginkgo (more likely option) Plus, backed up by Tessa entity eating Doll's core and being unaffected. Perhaps it just remains in the body as a source of energy.

IC-0n IS THAT YOU?! XD But in all seriousness, this scene was intense. The animation, the music and sound effects, the lines, everything was executed perfectly and created the monstrosity that may or may not haunt my nightmare tonight :3
My first thought was, "OH YOU! YOU FINALLY SHOWED UP! ...... GO AWAY!" This entity... uh I'm not quite sure what to call it yet, has been teased all the way back to the poster. And I would like to bring back something I said a bit while back. "What if the double x'ed character is someone we already know... but is dead? A character that is confirmed/somewhat confirmed to be dead can return back to life, and their body forced to move by the absolute solver." (I will be delving deeper into debunking this in another post.) Welp, that does it. I had the idea, just didn't know who the fack it was. XD So we get a drone, wearing Tessa's skin.
In hindsight, there was a big fat foreshadowing that I took for granted. This thing.

The drone body is a WD, and clear as day 1001 written on the core. What does it mean? Ah well, I'm actually not too sure. Going with the 002, 048, 029, etc. numbers, I can only assume 1001 is something the Absolute Solver made and gave it that number, possibly suggesting that there is more of these monstrosities out there.

So. Another "sacrifice." Why the quotation marks? Well... the first "sacrifice" was V and I'm still calling her MIA. Ginkgo, its clearly shown Uzi is most likely not gonna make it out of this one- shhhhhhhh, there is no war in Ba Sing Se. I will call Uzi MIA as well.
She's dead. The core was charging up behind her, much like it did when Nori's null hand fell, and when IC-0n- I MEAN- Tessa? The entity, jumped in. Uzi might just be the thing that sets the next core collapse- even the planet collapse- off. What Uzi is seeing, is just something that the Absolute Solver might have conjured up as her last memories before the imminent shut down.
She isn't dead. You see, this entire shot has me puzzled (nothing new lol). Your evidence for this one Ginkgo? Two images.

These scenes might not be much, but I will try to grasp at air here. It's unclear where Heart goes to. I mean there are two routes, one of which sounds more likely. First, she's going into the core because it connects to the entirety of the mine shafts and the core. Second, she's gonna use a door off to the side to go to the mine shafts and the same place that N gets dragged through. Why am I using these as poor evidence? Well, we've had 2 characters enter dark spaces full fo solver flesh and still make it out. Ginkgo, Uzi is literally falling in that scene, there is nothing to stop her fall. Yeah I know, like I said, I'm grasping at air with this one. Buuuut, the mind scape theories sound more fun, promise! ^w^

First off, where the HELL could this possibly be?
A memory/mind scape the Absolute Solver created: This has to be Copper-9, based off of the two iconic moons to the top right. A memory, because this could be either the first core collapse, or Uzi viewing the destruction of Copper-9 from another solver entity's point of view. Mind scape as in this is where the solver drone minds go to. Every solver drone that has been consumed by the large Absolute Solver in the cathedral, had their own personalities and thoughts. To keep them all from clashing and acting out, perhaps the solver takes the hive-mind plane and creates spaces that the solver drones can warp through.
The "ascension" plane: Ginkgo, that's it, to the hospital you go chop chop. /j Anyways, why am I even bringing something like this up? Well, Uzi's mural says this.

There are two routes here: succumb to be the host of eternal entity, or ascend. Ascend to... where? And how? Here is where the more intense crack theories enter (or at least for me). This space is the hive-mind of the solver, yes, but this is where Uzi's internal battle against the Absolute Solver will happen. We all know that the last mural will be of N fighting off the Absolute Solver (most likely). But what if he had outside (inside technically?) help. While N may hold out against the solver, he may need help to finally break through and finish it off. Who would be a better candidate than Uzi? She has now, for better or worse, become part of the large amalgamation that sits in the core. Perhaps with the strongest hosts in the hive-mind: Uzi, Nori, Yeva (maybe, I'm not quite settled on her yet), and Cyn, they will all be able to stop the solver for good on Copper-9. This process is the ascension. Instead of succumbing to the Absolute Solver within the hive-mind scape, she will fight once again. This time around, coming out victorious and ascending to uhh... I'm not quite sure yet? Robo-heaven? Returning back into her corporal body? Becoming the next Absolute Solver but with less need to rule the world? (Ah, well she might still actually rule the world just for the fun of it XD) Honestly, it's far too late for me to be thinking any more. I might add on to this later on.
Is it a rather optimistic take on the ending? Perhaps, but I need a little optimism right about now. ;w;

ITS THAT TIME AGAIIIIINNNN~
My thoughts an theories about TADC episode 4!!
SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 4
(Obviously)
-Ragatha and gangle wholesome interaction awe
IMMIDEATLY RUINED D:
-Abstragedy friendship!! :3
And zooble gave Gangle the new mask confirmed!!
-HOLY SHIT POMNI SAID THE THING-
-its funny cuz Caine still thinks Zooble won't go on adventures because they want them more mature and edgy lol
"But they had a whole therapy seesion-"
WE'LL COME BACK TO THAT
-SUGGESTION BOX REAL!?!?!
Also bubble and Caine share a tongue whut-
ALSO GONNA TOUCH ON THAT LATER.
-Oh kewl Gangle used to be a manager
So this is what Goose meant when they said the gang remembers parts of their past
-Zooble finally goes on an adventure!! Well they were forced but THATS NOT THE POINT-
-NOT RAGATHA IN THE DEEP FRIER
-Gangles expressions in this episode are amazing they have so much meme potential
-HOLY CRAP GUMMIGOO AND POMNI REUNITED CONFIRMED???
He did forget tho... or did h-
ALSO GONNA TALK ABOUT THAT ONE LATER
-Pomni's expressions in this are also amazing
-High Ragatha confirmed
-Gangle are you okay girly pop
-HOLY CRAP THE TRAINING VIDEO FELT LIKE AN ANOLOGE HORROR VIDEO AND I LOVE THAT SO MUCH
-HELL YEAH JAX GETTING WHAT HE DESERVES
-Well now we know the context for "huffing paint and not waiting till a designated break!?!?" Line
-Ragatha used to own horses awe :3
Also her being honest while she's completely out of it was funny and also a little sad for some reason
-Gangle and Pomni's little talk awe
-JAX ACTUALLY GIVING A CRAP CONFIRMED?? (aw man)
-Dude when Gangles vision started going blurry and the room got all dark I was screaming "PLEASE DON'T ABSTRACT PLEASE DON'T ABSTRACT-"
-Pomni was so sweet in this episode awe :3
-Wowie this looks like it was anime-inspired this scene is so beautiful wait gangle what are you doing GANGLE WATCH OUT
-Caine glitching out is just as funny as it is concerning
-More Abstragedy fan service!!!
Overall, I loved this episode!! I don't know how many people have already said this or how much IVE already said it, but the animation just keeps getting better and better!!
I loved the lighting and music when Gangle ran out in the parking lot, probably my favorite scene in the entire episode!
And sooo much got confirmed! WHICH, leads me Into the THEORY SEGMENT!!
-First off, Caine genuinely forgot the entire therapy session. Why? He was told too, duh!
If you rewatch episode 3, during the therapy session, Zooble tells him to, "Forget it." And Caine's reaction?
"Forget what?"
But... even after that they still did more therapy, so why doesn't he seem like he remembers??
Maybe something or someone made him...
Theres so much i could say this might turn into it's own post-
-Number B, the tongue thing. Not THAAAT Much to say here, but I do think it's just reuse of assets like how Caine reuses NPCs. ...except he's weirded out by it when it happens...
I think it was someone else's doing...
-SSPEAKING of NPCS, Gummigoo. A few people have said this already, but I think he might remember Pomni (at least a little bit).
When Gangle lectures her, Pomni uses Gummigoo's name and in the background he has a shocked expression. Now this could just be him goin "how does she know my name??" But either He didn't recognize her or that triggered his memory to come back.
When he leaves, he Hass a saddened expression on his face.
I've heard a few people say he does know but he just can't day anything or he's afraid to because... reasons are kinda obvious.
Welp! That's about all. Now I'm gonna start contemplating making a bigger post for the Caine theory...

THEORY TIME :)))))))) (yaay it's back)
It's said: I will make the post tomorrow (3 posts actually, each with different topics)
but before, just a thing... Man that looks realistic... But TOO realistic... Where did he get that from??
We usually think that some things from the PC are drawn by Orange. At first, these were just theories... Like with the Gunslinger short. There were a lot of "drawn" things there; like the hat, the shoes, the stick-circle-thing...
But the Green's Channel 1st ep actually kind of confirmed this. Cuz we can see Orange drawing the basketball hoop with an art-style similar to the before mentioned thing. And also with colors other than the black-white we see him drawing with.
So I don't think these were drawn by Orange. The main difference I see is that Orange's style when drawing objects is more cartoonish… And Green's stuff in the ig pic is nothing of that...
There before I have two theories:
Google: We've seen that the sticks can pick up things from google images (Lightsaber Duel short). But this theory can be debunked by two facts: The first one being that (as shown in the image) the objects they pick have a cartoonish looking appearance. And the second one being that Green's laptop has a weird looking logo that I don't think is real…
2. Outernet: We know that the Green's arc happens after AvA s3. There is evidence like:
-Green's videos are being posted now and AvA s3 canonically happened in 2023 (PC dates)
-The modified comment where a person calls Orange by the TSC name and Green first doesn't recognizes it. But then that comment was deleted and they modified his response to recognizing it but still calling him Orange… This means that they either found out about the name in AvA s3 or before in AvLol (welp I'm getting of topic, whatever) (coudln't find it but trust me!!)
So, maybe after AvA s3 they get more ways to go to stick city…
+. Or here is the other path: Purple (aaaaaaaaaaaaa) Welp it's obvious what I'm about to say. Purple is friends with Green and he has a portal connecting to the Outernet. sooooo Purple may be in the Green's arc.
This also makes sense cuz we know that the relation with the CG and Green has been "breaking" a bit (for reasons I will mention in tomorrow's posts after I finish my homework. And cuz of their lower and lower appearances in the vids.) and Purple hasn't been on the problem so far.... Here a pic of Outernet tech
~~~~~
Now some personal ranting: I like Purple, and even if I don't like him that much cuz yes. I don't know how to feel about him being in the arc cuz I was kind of hopping the CG would resolve the conflict together and with love and with their 10 years friendship they have and with their deepened care they have to eachother (which was, btw, more focused on in the Green's Channel 1st ep)… Sooo yeah, idk,
#animator vs animation#animation vs minecraft#alan becker#ava green#ava purple#theory time :)#Tumblr wouldn't let me upload this for some reason but I got it#ma' posts
Could you tell me about the little snake guy you reblogged my secret boss reactions with?
Yes, and gladly (Sorry for being way late tho!). Buckle up folks, here's another Deltarune fan secret boss from my take that I've been holding on for a good year or so. Though, if you've seen my most recent post, it's now less snake and more apple with a snake for one of its leaves.
Alright, Chapter 4. Chapter 4 (predictably) takes place in the Church. Sure, Saturday isn't the day for Mass, but Deltarune's religion is simply just analogous and inspired by Christiniaty, not directly it. Welp, that's a rant for another day.
Here's some context. A portion of Chapter 4 in my take is going to be some more exploration of Hometown, especially recently accessible areas (at least going by the screenshots from that one newsletter). By the end of this "slice of life" segment, we visit the Church for Deltarune's-religion-Mass, where most of Hometown can be there. In terms of potential extra Lightners, I can see Rudy, Alvin, Catti and Jockington, and maybe Monster Kid (see next paragraph) as choices. Following Chess theory, I believe there would be two "bishops" (or just a two faced guy maybe), though the main boss would be Father Basilicus (who in the Light World is a church altar).
The Church would parallel Waterfall (by the reverse Undertale theory, Chapter 3 is Hotland, while Chapter 2 is the CORE), even having the main "castle area" be named Purewater Cathedrals. The main theme of escapism would still be religion for the most part, but partially influenced by stories/fantasy since Gerson wrote the "Lord of the Hammer" novel. So a Waterfall parallel may make sense for Monster Kid to be involved too? (Edit: This was originally written a year ago and good lord we called Jockington (and maybe Catti) as part of Chapter 4 in a presumably Church based Dark World)
I think I already gave some details on Lucle just yesterday, so let's get to the main parts. The backstory?
The Purewater Cathedrals is the place where all the Darkners of the Holylands (I've got to come up with a better name ngl) convene for their periodic. Darkners of the Holy Lands all gather to worship the Angel (or at least their idea of what the Angel is), as well as receive their blessings. To serve as the Angel's mouthpieces, The Circle of Runes, the Cathedrals' head priests, deliver sermons and recite prayers, touching the heart and souls of their followers. Among the clergy is Basilicus, and Lucle.
Lucle was a preacher who spoke from her heart. Most importantly, she spoke of acts of kindness, of genuineness and returning good favors, for good tidings come around to those who reciprocate. And zhe was a preacher who practiced what zhe preached; from donations to aiding in renovation, to even running an orphanage not far off from the Cathedral, she made sure to do good because he believes there are good in others. Truly, good tidings come around those who reciprocate. For that is what the Angel wants. For that is what can be called love.
Love, how ironic that it can stand for something else.
One night, on an otherwise ordinary Gathering, yet another sermon is delivered as Lucle stood (don't worry, there's a wooden box to help her reach up) behind the podium, recalling an anecdote of one baker who gave away bread not only because he made one too many, but because he want others to not be hungry. An act of kindness. But from the crowd seated on the pews, one strange person, or rather man, stood out. For one brief second, the man looked straight through his eye, his smile appearing almost like cracks on a skull. Though unnerved, quickly brushes it off and continues her sermon, though she swears he could see the peripherals of her sight... darken, even if by a bit. Must be the nighttime, right?
The gathering is closed off peacefully with a prayer recital and blessings from the angel via the Circle of Runes. As the Darkners leave to return home, Lucle spots the mystery man amongst them, seemingly leaving for the Cathedral's door.
The Cathedral has a room where it stores valued antiques and objects for Gatherings or prayers. During her time, Lucle is one of the priests tasked with overseeing and guarding them. Tonight just happens to be her shift. As she finishes and walks off to the Cathedral's halls, she is silently approached by that strange man. The same man who smiled at her like shattered glass. The same man who she thought had left the sermon.
Just a walk away, up a small mountain, a sacred garden lies behind the Cathedral; the Gilded Grove. This too was another part of the church tended to and guarded by the Circle of Runes. Lucle herself was fond of this place, for not only was there a lot of trees and flowers, but she felt much closer to the Angel under the biggest and most sacred tree, the Angel's Boughs. The man suggested that he holds his confession near another tree, however. Before she asked how they'd get through when another member guarded the gates, she was motioned to walk through a gray door that never was there. And now they've reached the garden.
There was a tree of red leaves that didn't look like a tree she knew- actually, was it ever there?
The man came to her to talk about some things. A confession, if one wills. Lucle finds it odd that someone, let alone someone who she believes is a newcomer to the Cathedrals, would want to meet up with one of the clerical staff. Nevertheless, she agreed to the man's request, and allowed him to... "confess", for the lack of a better word. The man happily obliges, and, perhaps in an attempt to help explain his confession produces a small crystal shard, so dark it emanated darkness.
"MY CONFESSION... IS THE REALIZATION OF KNOWLEDGE. KNOWLEDGE NOT OF THESE... WORLDS."
Motioned to watch into the crystal, Lucle looks and sees... visions? For one, a room. One not unlike the architecture of the Holylands, from the houses of common Darkners, to the Purewater Cathedrals itself, yet so different. Despite the similarity, it felt alien. But the other thing she saw...
"MY SIN... IS KNOWING LOVE. AND LOSING THE POWER TO WARN OTHERS"
The strange man spoke, almost like he's narrating it. This second vision, the dagger cutting through them, dust where there once were someones... How could someone mercilessly lay a hand on those creatures? Those people? Those with friends and family, who have either fled in fear or fallen the same? All to fulfils this "LOVE".
This isn't love. Love is cherishing your close ones, love is helping someone as best as you could from the bottom of your heart, love is peacefully resolving conflict, love is giving to those in need, love is sheltering the weak. Love is passing the blessings of the Angel. Love is... kindness.
The next day, on another Gathering, Lucle made her way to the podium. Some of the other members of the Circle noticed a small change in her. She's never seem so split before. How long did she cry for tear stains to still be there? Halley and (The) Belfriar were the first to notice; it seemed like one of her leaves took on a snake-like shape. When did that happen? Even her leaves took on the same colors from the Angel's Boughs light green and gold foliage, a most sacred tree's likeness. No one, no matter how pious to the Angel they are, could possibly ever touch one. Lucle's fellow priests simply brushed off the snake-like leaf as something to entertain the kids. Kids can be fickle, so they need something to hold their attention for lessons and stories, right? She has time and time always agreed to make sure that the children stay in the right path, after all.
Then, the sermon...
Not one word was uttered under the premise of guidance, enlightenment, and counsel. No, these were manic ramblings of true love and LOVE, and the distinctions only made sense to her. She preaches about how he can see a "meter by everyone's name", and how the more LOVE they have compared to genuine kindness, the more the Angel abandons this world for another one. In fact, speaking of the Angel, there truly was no good intention behind their will. The Angel brought forth the Holy Lands not to grant them the joy of living and salvation under servitude, but because of... fun. The Angel brought them to life for its own amusement, and in one vision did she see a world where the Angel descended to lay waste on the Holy Lands with a misguided prophet.
It was then when she realized that she has now been pitted against the people she once tended to via service as a price for true enlightenment. The Man offered a bite of the forbidden fruit, and fall she did. Heavy is the bitter truth, the heaviest weight to tether faith itself.
In a place so dark, darker than even the steps below the spires, a fallen priestess woke up with barely any recollection. Sealed for the truths she learned, abandoned by her fellow devotees, and discarded for what she swore (from the bottom of her heart) wasn't heresy. Every now and then, the second leaf whispers her own guilt and other terrible things to her. Even if her descent is locked behind amnesia.
---
Now, for the (still unpolished) gameplay stuff.
In battle, you'll alternate between the Red and Green SOUL, though most attacks use the latter SOUL mode. Pressing the Z button charges up a shield spin to counter otherwise unavoidable attacks. The battle will also have Green bullets, which (if you remember from Undertale) can heal you, so try not to block those out.
Getting to her battle would involve undergoing a night vigil, holding a "Warding Candle" as you scale up from the Depths to the Angel's Boughs, a great sacred tree central to the Holy Lands' beliefs (in the Light World, this would be Gerson's hammer). Getting to eat a fruit from the tree would be a snake minigame where you have to score a certain point (her little snake bow thingy would be able to stretch). Eat enough fruits and, well...
In terms of speech quirk, she'd sometimes speak in quotations and put numbers in the end of each quoted sentences, as if they're bible verses, though the second number is always 17. Also, on verses that are in multiples of 6 (6, 12, 18, 24, so on), she'd say something that borders on 4th wall breaking lore bombs, if not actually breaking it. Kind of like those religious edutainment cartoons since that's what she is in the Light World.
I guess I could leave a mini recap of what each of the mentioned darkners' Light World counterparts are:
Basilicus (main boss): Church altar
Lucle (secret boss): Confiscated kid's book
Halley (shopkeep): Whatever Deltarune's equivalent of tarot cards are
Belfriar (both the species and the main one): Church bells
So yeah... that was a long one. This should be my take on the Chapter 4 secret boss. Again, sorry if it took ages to get this out, especially with the actual Chapter 4 dropping, but hopefully that clears things up. Now, I should be on my way to- Wait...
...Who's that..?
Welp. Played Double Exposure. Finished it.
ALMOST spoiler-free thoughts, any spoilers are literally superficial and make no impact on the plot as a whole: this game is not worth the price of admission at present.
Just to get it out of the way; the way they unceremoniously wrote Chloe out of Max's life, be they romantically together or platonic, is garbage. She doesn't even have a character model. The only image of her post-Arcadia is the one we've all seen before. It was all VERY out of character for both Max and Chloe and all of Chloe's social media posts feel like DeckNine rubbing in that they just see her as a party girl lesbian who sleeps around and would rather completely ignore any trauma that she or her BEST FRIEND WHOM SHE WOULD TAKE BACK IN A HEARTBEAT would have because she wants to "move forward". Incredibly insulting, especially when Chloe keeps getting called "the blue-haired girl" and not by name when Max is literally TALKING ABOUT HER IN A HEARTFELT CONVERSATION.
Graphics. I can run Baldur's Gate 3 at a damn good and steady framerate even as it is constantly loading shit into the level as you travel this giant-ass world map. For some reason, LiS:DE just chugged along. What's worse, the lowest and most unstable framerates and graphic quality I had was INDOORS. I didn't even have these settings on Cinematic because then it ran like shit. Even after I found advice on discussions. This game is beautiful but only if you're standing still and not moving the camera around so much.
Cat Content is waaaaay to minimal. Cat didn't appear until the very end of Chapter 2, and after that the cat will only appear when you can explore Max's house. Which is the ending of Chapter 3 and the beginning of Chapter 4. You don't even get to keep the cat. This content is not worth being locked behind the Ultimate Edition.
The writing of the main plot starts strong, but leads to a very underwhelming conclusion. All of the other entries in LiS have felt like their endings were ambiguous in that there wasn't so much a right choice as there was a choice of which ending you felt fit the narrative. Chapter 5, and thus the whole ending of the game, felt like... nothing. Even down to the final "big" choice and the last scene. There was no real delving into Max's trauma stemming from the ending of the original game, because in "respecting both endings", DeckNine respects neither by making their differences superficial. There was no story following through a setup of how one can move on from death in one's life. The ending just relies on supernatural fuckery and then sets up for future games in a meaningless way. It all felt so rushed and hollow, for lack of a better, spoiler-free way to describe it. Aside from saying that there were SO many theories people came up with that were much more gripping than what actually happened.
The characters are underutilised for how much the marketing put the spotlight on them. Not to say I don't like the new cast of characters, but aside from their charm in some scenes, I literally only really cared about Moses by the end of the game. If the threat of Max Caulfield's return doesn't fall through, then I hope at least Moses will be along for the ride too. Aside from him, I just... didn't really grow attached to anyone besides Gwen and the cat. For as little as the cat appeared, I still cared about that damn ball of pixels more than almost all of the main cast of characters.
The side characters have so much dialogue. Too much dialogue. You will be listening in on NPC conversations for 5 minutes and maybe, MAYBE you'll be able to put that therapist card down on the table for them in Chapter 2. There was waaaaaay too much thought and time and dialogue put into background characters and conversations that aren't all that interesting and just get their audio cut off if you step a couple of millimetres away from their assigned seats.
The game is small. Even with exploring, you only have 4-5 environments to venture forth in at Caledon, and when most of them are indoors and something keeps causing my framerate to tank (which honestly how can your indoor lighting tank my framerate with outdoor scenes should have more shit to load in) it feels so claustrophobic. Scenes are short if you're good at puzzle-solving and revisiting locations makes events even shorter when you don't need to re-examine details for Max's inner monologue. It feels like you have less room to move than in True Colours, which when combined by how disappointing the main plot is?
Main plot is only a murder mystery for the first two chapters. Then it kinda derails. The mystery disappears and you just have plot twists that don't fit the Life is Strange vibes.
All in all? This is the first entry in the series that I regret buying at all. Great acting performances, pretty graphics and a stellar soundtrack can't carry a game or save it from writing that isn't just bad, but ultimately insincere. I knew what stories previous games in the series were trying to tell. I don't know what Double Exposure wanted to tell or try to say beyond "stay tuned".
#life is strange#life is strange: double exposure#max caulfield#chloe price#it's nearly 4am as i post this. i don't know why I played this long. by the end i just wanted to get it over with.
okay random in school thoughts but still spoilers
So about the situation rn there’s too less clue to determine the killer. So here’s mah guesses of everything. Green means totally not. Pink is huh maybe? Orange is meh probably but not much proof. Red is maybe with many guesses
Ojima
I can’t think much of him killing ppl. He’s just toooo nice to be killing someone😭 but I’ve just a theory, Ken once said that someone is lying about their advantage. But I don’t think is him? Exclusive access to the arsenal but no food? Weird choice to lie about but meh.
Hasegawa
He’s just being him, although he’s high. Theres probably no way he can kill mai for any particular reason. Same theory with Ojima, I think Hasegawa is the type of person who would pause for really long after getting the paper if he wanted to lie.
Tamba
I don’t think it’s her since she was crying when saw mai’s body and I don’t think she’s those kind of people who fakes their emotions. She is just being herself and she’s doing a lot in the investigation even she’s hurt. I trust her ig? She’s so honest about everything
Yanagi
Literal bullshit. There’s 0% he would killed mai. But he could’ve want to kill the trapper with traps (wtf am I yapping)but ended killing mai???? Wtf am I talking about. Even him having an advantage is merely acceptable but meh.. I dunno what am I saying.
Hasegawa
He just being weird these whole time. Breaking the fourth wall, quiet these whole time(probably just the lost from kamimura…) etc etc… he just felt too weird for me. He probably have the objective to kill someone since… yea the lost from a very close frd. He also has a chance he has an advantage, and in Camping he picked up the thought of someone lying, maybe he’s the one lying after all and he’s trying to see if anyone suspects him lying.
Wada
He has been missing a lot of the chapters lately and he’s hiding something. totally if you wanna persuade someone that ur innocent, no more secret… Tamba let it slide so nvm.. but the things missing in the arsenal, don’t think wada can even hide all weapons… unless it’s like a magic trick somehow??? Like u use a mirror to cover up the room space idk how to explain it sounds hilarious. And him walking in the arsenal and come back out with nothing? Sus…
Mai herself
Welp this sounds hilarious. Maybe just… naw not a chance. Got stabbed throughly and the wounds on her hands. About her body, she has a lot of blood at her back rather in front. She most likely died lying down, with the blood oozing out from the back. And she would be either on smooth surfaces like glass or smooth ceramic surfaces? Like the blood can’t be staying on the back of the clothes if there’s cloth helping to stop the oozing from the blood.. I dunno I like guessing
Or it’s either the staff… like monomoko or meh.
Someone mentioned abt the teleportation of monomoko. It kinda makes a lot of sense for the things in the arsenal to be gone and the body of mai being in the swimming pool without any traces of dragging from the hallway or even if mai has fallen from the pool balcony, there aren’t traces. Monomoko has developed self control over itself and have the ability to do anything it wants. But wouldn’t it be weird. and also abt wada can’t go to the basement, someone explain it in their post. It’s kinda weird… monomoko should have like jumped out but it didn’t, if it killed Mai then it would’ve make sense fr
Orrr let’s konsider our lovely friend.
Maybe? It felt reasonable and the “wtf am I even saying” emotion in the same time. We have guesses of her being alive or not so maybe she’s the supervillan after all. Hehe…
All of these are just notes for my mind. They are all guesses.
Feel free to discuss here, I totally want to hear all the guesses🥺✨
Last Twilight: Episode 6 reflections
Welp! Once again! Aof Noppharnach! Thanks, buddy! Fist bump. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO LIVE AFTER THAT.
I'm gonna live, because we get ANOTHER flirty episode 7 next week, woop woop. But let me review what we've all been screaming about today.
Anti-August rhetoric is abounding, yes. I would argue that the narrative themes that the character of August presented during this episode were set up in episodes well before this disaster that August created happened.
This episode demonstrated Aof's mastery of dissecting interpersonal engagement and relationships, as well as offering an examination of chosen vs. unchosen familial bonds. The examination in particular of the nature of nuclear (unchosen) family bonds -- especially in the face of the impact of a traumatic event like Day's sudden blindness -- is subtle and exquisite so far. I'll get more into this in a moment.
The show's been laying all of this down for us since the start, paralleling the impact of the unchosen bonds Day has with the world he has left around him, with the chosen bonds he's made with Mhok, and vice versa. That is all happening alongside Mhok's continued internal emotional journey of change and stablization, which again, I'll touch on in a moment.
In episode 5, we heard Day describe his sports partnership with August as akin to an "arranged marriage."
Day showed us in the last episode that he did the majority of the lifting of the partnership he had with August. Day HAD to be the emotional stabilizer of the partnership in order to win championships. Akin to the Asian practice of arranged marriages -- it certainly takes two to tango. But if the CULTURAL expectation--
(THE HUGE AND ENORMOUS AND ASSUMED CULTURAL EXPECTATION IN ASIA, mind you, which we are reading between the lines here) --
of the OUTCOME of an arranged marriage is to 1) have children, and 2) not get divorced -- well, if someone isn't pulling their weight, the partner has to clock some overtime shifts.
Day did overtime, and boop, fell in love with his badminton partner. I don't blame him. All that work to get to know August's ins and outs? And the way August looks, mmhmm? Yeah, I get it. August may have been a butt, but Day doing that all that work to accidentally find himself on the attraction path wouldn't be surprising to me.
We get to episode 6. We see that Day is being failed by his unchosen family. We still don't know what the deal is with Night, despite Mhok's inquiries. (I apologize to @respectthepetty for not finding their theory post that Night was behind the wheel of the car accident that first affected Day's eyes -- shout-out, Senpai.) We see Day's mom sort of failing him prior to his birthday. We see that Day was sort of expecting his mom to fail him anyway.
I wanted to capture Day's mom's emotional reaction here because... we know past stuff is percolating. Day's mom's career comes first and has come first. The wins come first, as they should have been for Day when he could still see and could still play badminton.
Day was prepared to be disappointed. That hug at the end of this scene with his mother was a sigh of relief for Day that his mom came through, but we don't know the extent to which his mother hasn't come through in the past, except by way of having kept Day inside for a year after the onset of his blindness.
And then Day was failed, again, by unchosen family.
August says, "I'm willing to do whatever makes him happy," but, just like nuclear/unchosen family -- you have to KNOW the people around you to KNOW what ACTUALLY makes them happy. Nuclear/unchosen family can't just clock in and clock out of family work. It takes more zhuzh than that.
For example: changing diapers might be a role a parent performs. It'll make a baby happy to feel clean and dry. But are the babies happy to actually wear a diaper? No. They don't know from diapers. The babies will be happy with loving, caring, and attentive parents showing them attention. From there, emotional growth will flourish.
Love, here, is not exactly about roles and tasks, as August is defining happiness above. Love is about something different -- it's about paying attention, at all times, to the people you love, and responding accordingly.
Unchosen family can very well fail you, because at the end of the day, they're still "family" by blood and sometimes bond. That's why it's important for so many of us to have CHOSEN family that shows up for us.
REMEMBER: BETWEEN DAY AND MHOK? DAY CHOSE MHOK. THAT'S A CHOSEN RELATIONSHIP FOR DAY, FINALLY, FOR ONCE IN HIS LIFE.
And Mhok comes into Day's house, starts to take care of Day like a partner, starts to get to know Day's ins and outs, and boop -- Mhok has found himself falling for Day. Quite the different paradigm from August, who did and does shit.
And in episode 6? Here comes Mhok, barreling in from the start of the episode, re-shifting the paradigms in Day's life that were created by the unchosen people that preceded Day in close proximity. I love how the VERY first scene of this episode started with Mhok announcing himself to Day in Day's room -- very unlike the way that August had silently slunk away from the bar in the previous episode.
And all the ways that Mhok is right behind Day as August engages through the episode, checking in, vibing. And respect to Mhok for taking some time away from the birthday party at the end, too. Did it break my heart to hear Day calling for Mhok before August's final arrival? For sure. But Mhok needed some space to process --
-- and then he came back, watched what was happening, and you know what struck me? We again saw a moment where Mhok has changed, as I mentioned last week.
Mhok could have pummeled August! Imagine if that shit went down at the start of the series. Lil' August wouldn't have any damn teeth left. Remember that Mhok pummeled that m'fer that Porjai was with, TWICE.
Mhok didn't kick August's ass this time around. Mhok held himself, he asked August questions. Day also knew what Mhok was capable of, but Mhok held himself. FUCK. Exquisite!
And then.... we got the rooftop, we got the rooftop.
This is a great series. THESE ARE GREAT EPISODES.
Couple other quick notes:
1) JIMMY AND SEA! JIMMY! THOSE LOOKS ON THE ROOFTOP! YOOOOOOOO.
2) I just want to acknowledge all the sensualness of this episode by way of scent and touch, and trust the family on posting about it.
That being said:
I've been known to be intrigued by scented things emanating from Aof's shows in the past. He had posted on IG a few weeks ago about a perfume company he likes, I went to check it out, and bloop, I got myself a sampler for the holidays.
I clocked the cologne that Day gifted Mhok.
As far as I can tell, this specific bottle called Tiwa doesn't exist -- although I love that the fake brand is "UNTOLD STORIES," written at the top. Tee-hee.
Coincidentally, a scent called "Tiwa" was created by a company called Parfum Prissana, out of Thailand (they look great, I want to smell them one day).
A website reviewing Prissana's Tiwa notes the description of the scent that came from Prissana itself:
Atmosphere of the day time in a countryside of Thailand. The smell of local cooking herbs and spices and there is fruits orchards and precious woods near by. Tiwa means day time in Thai.
Well, well, well.
random thing that I thought of, but...
Most of the time, normally, usually, everyday;
They are Orange. A normal stick with a bigger but empty head than the others.
Most of the time, normally, usually, everyday;
Orange is just a normal stick with no kind of special powers or anything. He's just a normal stick with a big empty head and is one who would fall sleep pretty easily.
Most of the time, normally, usually, everyday;
Orange is just a normal stick who has great fighting skills - thanks to his friends teaching him. A normal stick who loves his friends deeply and would do absolutely anything to protect them.
Most of the time, normally, usually, everyday;
Orange is just a hollowhead. One of Alan's creations. Orange can sometimes feel out of place in his group of friends because of his empty head, but that's okay. He's still a normal stick.
Most of the time, normally, usually, everyday;
Orange is just a normal stick, who cares and worries deeply for their friends. He doesn't want to lose them again. He would never want to lose them again. He will do anything out of his way to make sure that does never ever happens again.
Most of the time, normally, usually, everyday;
Orange is just a normal stick. A little claustrophobic, have a big giant fear of losing his friends again and has a bit of anger issues, but that's okay. He's just a normal stick.
Most of the time, normally, usually, everyday;
Orange is just a normal stick.
Sometimes, rarely, unusually, in a tough day;
They are The Second Coming. A creation that possesses abnormal superpowers.
Sometimes, rarely, unusually, in a tough day;
The Second Coming opens their eyes while Orange closes his. Only in special occasions. Not everytime. The Second Coming only wakes up when it's a emergency. The Second Coming only wakes up when he needs to be at his strongest.
Sometimes, rarely, unusually, in a tough day;
The Second Coming is The Chosen One's Return. The Second Coming is at their strongest when The Chosen One is at their weakest.
Sometimes, rarely, unusually, in a tough day;
The Second Coming, just like Orange, cares and worries deeply for their friends. Orange would fight for them, and The Second Coming would kill for them.
Sometimes, rarely, unusually, in a tough day;
The Second Coming and Orange become one. Most of the time, Orange must be unconscious for The Second Coming to be awake, but that doesn't mean that he should be unconscious. The Second Coming can emerge even if Orange is awake. If they both have the same goal, they will both achieve it.
Sometimes, rarely, unusually, in a tough day;
Orange doesn't remember about The Second Coming. Orange doesn't even know about The Second Coming. Orange knows his real name, the name of his code, the name given to him, but doesn't know why and what should that mean.
Sometimes, rarely, unusually, in a tough day;
The Second Coming is a Code. The Second Coming is a Creation. The Second Coming Is a Return.
I love putting both The Second Coming and Orange as two different minds, even though they are the same person stick.
Kinda like this AU! Which was the main inspiration for this short lil' fic. xD
Orange having a personification(stickfication) version of their power is just.. So interesting?? So cool???? Amazing concept??? Would love to see more of it, to be honest.
Also! Part of this oneshot is based on this analysis of Second and Chosen's characters! lol It's a pretty great analysis/theory/speculation, to be honest. I love it so much aaaa
Welp! I think that's it..? xD
Cya ~ !
so, will canon Peter lose interest in Yn if they abuse him physically? I didn’t quite understand what they meant on the stream
Tumblr YB wouldn't.
As for Game YB.. I don't know. The stuff they say on streams and lore dumps after the Tumblr clash against each other really often.
... It's almost like they are just saying whatever's on their mind.
---
It's part of why I stick to Tumblr yb in terms of his character and personality because.. he is already set, I know him.
But game YB can just seemingly turn into whatever, like things they insisted tumblr YB would NEVER do.. welp, i guess they just forget about that. Or say stuff like "nah it's not canon anymore, that was soooo long ago"
I mean stuff like, adding the shampoo incident and the peanut allergy are cool, but it's changing core things like "YB would love you no matter what" is what makes me need to disconnect my YB from Game/Patreon Discord YB's character.
---
A recent example is when someone on Twitter asked something like
"Would YB smash my face on the wall/window if I'm a masochist and I really asked him to, like pls pls pls pls???"
Someone answered before I noticed the post and said something like "On Fuboo's FAQ (in the Patreon's Discord), Peter would not slap you even if you asked him to"
But Tumblr Peter would.... and he would go pretty far if you encouraged him. That's a pretty direct clash in characterization.
So yeah that's a reason I stick to tumblr YB. The receipts are already there..
(I do swipe game yb's sprites for edits and stuff though)
---
A theory I have for why Game YB doesn't like hurting YN compared to his Tumblr version..
Well, it could be because he has been forced to hurt YN against his will, and against YNs will so many times. And he got a LOT of hate from it, like he hurt YN and the YNs were NOT PLEASED.
I mean, I guess it would be a bit different depending on whether or liked or disliked his more violent side in the game but yeah.
---
In the Tumblr, him hurting YN is more of a consensual activity, like something fun and freaky and messy where they are both into it.
Like usually it comes to this because the anon asked about it, or said that they like stuff like that.
.. I prefer the Tumblr version for myself because I guess the game version is too.. uh.. warped? By all the trauma he goes through in the game? And I guess he's been also warped a lot by his creator's own shenanigans/bullying for the game.. and Greta too.
Like the tumblr version would be more focused on you and the relationship but the game version would be more defensive and lose his temper and hurt you more easily, and look down on you more.. or something like that
... I'm gonna just stick to "inconsistent writing"
Welp, time to talk about Sonic movie 3. It's been 16 hours since I watched it.
First, I've been SO exagerated whith the precautions on this movie I was even evading watching Shadow design till I was on the cinema, witch was a mistake because I get a bit disappointed at first xd
Noow the part with spoilers and theories for the movie 4 so get under the read more thing if you already watched the movie :)
SO GLAD I NEVER WATCHED THE TRAILERS. They did exactly like in sonic 2, they made the trailers look better than the final movie adding the best parts there. So my first experience whith this movie was "a bit more enjoyable" than the second one.
Buuuut not watching the trailers and theorithing only by the out of context frameshots I saw sometimes, was also somenthing that make me.... when I saw the movie I was screaming whith some parts because of how cool they are (and also live and learn 😭😭😭, shadow and sonic doing the pose referende when they became super, that was awesome omg). But during most of the movie.... I got a feeling of deception. Everything caused for the information I get of the movie being pg 13 like the fnaf movie, so I was waiting at least Maria geting shot or some blood or somenthing like that. But now I get it, this is a familiar movie and I have to start expecting this franchise like that, or I will get decepcionated again whith impossible whishes xd. (Probably I will love more this movie the more I watch it, what happened to me with Sonic movie 2, an also when I first saw sonic movie 3 I didn't knew that Maria was definitely dead so... Watching shadow grabbing his wheel shoe when I'll went to watch this movie again is gonna be súper painfull know that I know that is from his dead kid friend...)
Now I get how many freedon they can take making this movies respect the historys they are bassed on, like, Shadow in this universe is LITERALY ALIEN, not an artificial created creature, everything happens on earth, the Chaos emeralds are only relevant for instant super Sonic, Maria is not sick and she just casually dies for an explosion of chaos energy, Jerald was alive and didn't manipulated Shadow's mind so he can actually doubt on his word when he accidentally punched Tom mistaking him whith the Gun comander, etc.
Not gonna lie, I preffer the history of game Shadow. I feel more meaningfull to hesitate for being Maria the only reason he has born. Also, why is he a Hedgehog then on the movie? In the games it has an explanasion but now he's just a Hedgehog because lol.
NOW THE MOST IMPORTANT PART, THE POSTCREDITS.
Amy is so beautiful!! And Metal Sonic appears and that made me so surprised but... dammit.... We are not getting Silver... I literally take my plushie hiden for the film in case he arrive for also scream on that part but that never happened xd
The kids was very happy with Amy appearing, more than the adult fans, at least on my cinema. I literally screamed "HOW BEAUTIFUL" because lol, she was so precious on her life action version, I wasn't specting that.
Not gonna lie, this post credit scene was... When Shadow arrived on Sonic 2 everyone was screaming like they favourite futbol team marked, it was one of the best 5 seconds of my life, screaming whith fans for one of my favourite characters. That didn't happend here, but at least I'm free from being waiting frenetic the next movie for the next 2 years jajajaja... ja... (please I hope they do like on Sonic 2 and they reveal Silver later on Twitter or somenthing please please I don't want to wait 6 years for finally watch him on the big scream or a tv media).
NOW THE THEORIES PART
Its crazy how we came from adventure 2 to again an old Sonic game as is Sonic CD. The only thing I know about that game is that it has time travel, so I keep a bit of hope that maybe we can see Silver being some antagonist there too...? Please...? Maybe he's a time guardian and he doesn't like Sonic travelling through future like that.
Movies take a lot of freedom making the plot as I mentioned before so maybe they keep the time travel whith the time stones, maybe they discard them at all, or maybe they put Silver too and Eggman Nega created those Metal Sonics, who knows what they'll do. The narrative will stay kids adapted whith references for the older fans so don't spect it to be exaggeratedly impressive, but neutral impressive with little hype points.
Shadow will be back and Amy would mistake him with Sonic for make a reference to adventure 2 when her hug Shadow. But in this time, she hugs Shadow because she's scared for some reason and she wants confort so she hugs "Sonic"
That's all, I don't want to get too high with speculation because I may have a problem of getting too hyped with my own ideas and spectative lol (that's why I love drawing, the process and suspense and expectation of what a drawing can become gives me so many possitive emotions).
Thanks for read in case you advanced this far because Jesus christ, is a lot of text.
