Crested Serpent Eagle Thankful to my brother's who gave me an opportunity to come and see this beautiful species of the eagle family before releasing it back to where it belonged. The crested serpent eagle is a medium sized bird, measuring 50 to 75 cm in length and weighing 400 to 1,800 grams. The wingspan is 100 to 170 cm. Considering the large number of subspecies of these eagles, there is wide variation in size and appearance. They have a large head with long feathers on the back of the head giving crested appearance. The face is bare and yellow. The yellow feet are unfeathered and heavily scaled. The wings are rounded and the tail is short. The tail has wide white and black bars. The Crested Serpent Eagle (Spilornis Cheela) is a medium-sized bird of prey that is found in forested habitats across tropical Asia. All members within the species have a large looking head with long feathers on the back of the head giving them a crested appearance. The face is bare and yellow joining up with the ceres while the powerful feet are unfeathered and heavily scaled. They fly over the forest canopy on broad wings and tail have wide white and black bars. They call often with a loud, piercing and familiar three or two-note call. They often feed on snakes, giving them their name. Some weeks after my first Serpenteagle post. I think I truly understand why I adore the ship.

Xiang Liu is a character obsessed with chaos, disorder. And what character better reflects those things than Peng? They act first, ask questions later. They're brash and speak their mind. Being their completely unapologetically self. A trait that Xiang Liu values:

"But I have had enough of control. Enough of watching people put themselves in cages. Of watching them push away the chaos when the chaos makes them who they are."

Speaking of this quote, let's talk about what Peng values in Nine. In what we've seen of the Camel Ridge Trio's dynamic, we can see that both Yellowtusk and Azure will typically disagree with Peng's more destructive approach to things. While Nine would embrace this behavior and encourage them to do as they see fit.

Though, they don't just bring out each other's worst traits! As I mentioned before in the original post, they can also bring out the good in each other, too.

If there's one thing that's clear to me, it's that Xiang Liu is a loner. Has probably been one since his friends and Nuwa betrayed him. But Peng isn't. While the trio may not agree on everything, they function like a well-oiled machine. They worry about each other, they trust each other. So, just maybe Peng can teach him how to let people in again.

As for Peng, well, they're kinda an asshole. While Nine is for the most part courteous and patient. I'm sure our snakey boi could teach them some manners.
