No because what even are the Marauders? Like the dynamics are just so absolutely wild with these four characters.

Okay so we have Remus: Literally a werewolf, stone cold sarcasm, could kill a man with one look, sharp mind and sharper tounge, like 6'4 and could 100% tower over you, in general just does not give a shit.

But we also have Remus: Soft Boi, tall and lanky, incredibly socially awkward, just wants naps and chocolate all the time, blushes furiously, way too stressed out about absolutely everything, can't go twenty minutes without complaining that he's cold.

We have Sirius: Punk Rock Badass tm, drives an illegal flying motorcycle, has the coolest animagus form to date, scary dog best friend privileges, the most Noble and Ancient House of Black reject, could kill you without hesitation if you look at his friends wrong, could tower over you even though he's shorter??, his voice is somehow even more threatening when it's quiet.

But then we have Sirius: Perpetual gay panic, will willingly fling himself off a bridge if any of the marauders told him to, terrified of Lily Evans (who's the shortest of all of them), sings along to Dancing Queen every time it plays, needs affection or he'll die, will break down crying because he cant get his eyeliner right, absolute hot mess.

We have James: Over protective, strong enough to manhandle someone easily, also incredibly tall, doesn't care what anyone thinks of him, popular jock, secret charms genius and could come up with a spell to haunt you forever, known for being a Prank God, is best friends with the House of Black reject and a literal werewolf, the untouchable quidditch captain, could probably down eight firewhiskeys and still shoot a quaffle perfectly through a hoop, his angry glare could melt fucking steel.

Then we have James: chased after the same person for seven years, crooked glasses and always messy hair, big doe eyes, literally and figuratively deer in headlights, won't stop whining about everything, takes an hour long shower because he needs to find the right playlist, refuses to eat sandwiches with the crusts on, wears mismatched socks, such a mama's boy, wears croptops for fun, likes being choked.

Well... and then there's just Peter: Not a mean bone in this kid's body, he will bring the snacks to the study group and there is nothing you can do about it, likes cheese, always down for a road trip, desperately needs validation, pins photos of all his best friends to his wall, likes cheese, can make you cry just by pouting at you, literally just a big tedy bear, needs at least three hugs a day, LIKES CHEESE.

And I go "I don't want to"

Seriously after S6 and S7, I seriously do not want to. Because if I imagine it, I will come up with something WAY BETTER than what 911 writers are capable of and I will just be disappointed all over again.

So really I am doing Zero speculation this time around, I will just check in with summaries and the likes, I will not watch next season, until I find out how it turned out, because 7 seasons in and the writing track record is horrendous.

Jaded? Tired? Disappointed? Yes, to all of that.

Here's a fic I wrote about well-meaning vigilante thief Kotaro: https://archiveofourown.org/works/53586106/chapters/135643189 He's suffered a lot for the sake of his family and friends and has lost trust in humanity. Very jaded and struggles to cope with his hopelessness and anger. There's probably an equal amount of people that want him dead to people who are grateful to him. He's still a bit clumsy, especially due to how many times he's been beaten down, but even with his broken spirit he feels obligated to continuing doing what he has been because people rely on him. Beyond that, he's pretty empty inside. Imagine a Niigo Kotaro's personality, basically.

Here's a fic I wrote about tavern bard Kotaro: https://archiveofourown.org/works/53708047 He's a country boy with a pension for traveling. He's very social as it's the best way to find stories to turn into song. He's a bit of a flirt! Also, I think he'd have some sort of magical ability, but only one. Maybe he can see through disguise spells and mimics. He has the same personality as regular Kotaro with some extra spice.

Trainee knight Kotaro I intended to have working under Akito, but if it'd be easier to work into your AU, he can be a trainee knight for any of the kingdoms you have pre-planned. Either way, he'd be the same insecure but hard-working and clumsy Kotaro as usual, just a knight instead of a musician! Hehe. He's still pretty weak and has low stamina, but the idea of bringing honor to his family name and being someone his brother can be proud of is his biggest motivator, as expected. He'll definitely really admire the person he works under and have a passionate dedication to the family under which he's employed. Very much the same personality as canon Kotaro.

Butler Kotaro I intended to work for the Aoyagi family, but again, I'd be comfortable having him work for whomever you'd like. He was born a commoner and attended a vocational school for live-in maids and ended up being relatively popular because he's so good at getting along with everyone. His averageness makes him less likely to cause workplace conflict or romance, although I wouldn't mind such things happening to him, hehe. I think the thing about him having been born a commoner that opens story opportunities is that whichever royal or noble family he works under, the children (princes and princesses) of the family can use him to sate their curiosity in the world outside the castle walls. That, and because he's so approachable, they can be themselves without worry of harming their reputations. His real personality is the same as canon but he has to play a stoic professional a lot of the time.

Take your pick! There's also werewolf Kotaro and mermaid Kotaro too. Heres the werewolf Kotaro fanfic https://archiveofourown.org/works/52458181/chapters/132708550 and the mermaid Kotaro has a tag on this blog (mermaid au) and a bio in the master doc. The werewolf fic takes place in the canon Project Sekai universe, though, so of course I'd have to adapt him further to your universe. He'll be a secretive and anxious person regardless of the scenario though as a werewolf.
