OK so originally I had this MONSTER essay in what this was about but im really really bad at explaining things and I don’t want to leave you hanging forever so instead I’ll just give you a basic rundown of the concept and all the plot points. Also, important thing to mention, I HAVEN’T FINISHED SEASON 2 YET. Y’know, where the majority of my AU takes place. Haven’t finished that. Haven’t even seen Chaos Metal Sonic. Sorry, sorry, I know, I’m a fake fan but in my defense every time I turn on the show I want to bang my head against a wall, tear all my skin of, and run in circles at the speed of light (in a good way) (but also in a bad way) (a good bad way). Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, I need to quickly explain the concept behind this. In the first episode of Season 2, Avoid the Void, Sonic doesn’t realize that he can run out of the Ghost World. He’s stuck there. This also means that he can’t save shadow from falling into the void (this is why shadow doesn’t have an arm or a leg in my au illustrations, he wakes up before he can be fully disintegrated, but he did lose some limbs.) Back to Sonic, since he has nothing better to do, he tries to take a nap at the beach where his friends are at and starts “taking” to Tail’s projection. Then, the voice comes. I don’t really know how to describe this. There is a voice, like the name states, but it’s also a lot more complicated than that. When “it” comes, sonic can’t hear anything; or well actually he can hear things (sometimes the noise feels oppressively loud) but he doesn’t know what people are saying, so to him it just sounds like gibberish. Also, this isn’t always true, (it just depends) but his eyes won’t focus properly and they get really blurry, like can’t see what’s in-front of you blurry. Also, headaches! Because apparently we needed to make this even worse for him for some reason. It’s not at its worst here, but as you can expect he is pretty disoriented after it’s done. Shadow comes back to the ghost world, Sonic is understandably surprised by his lack of two limbs, he gets the tech and bounces, yadayadayada, all the stuff. More importantly, now we get Nine back! Chapter two; Sonic goes to Boscage Maze, they’re ripping the place up, Sonic goes to help Thorn, mini “voice” episode as an appetizer, he gets a tech upgrade from Nine, he goes to fight, gets the main course “voice” episode, Nine gets in trouble cause emo tween egg boy caught him talking to Sonic trying to figure out what’s wrong with him and why he’s talking to himself, Sonic gets the shard from Thorn, he runs of with it, emo eggboy sends a message that they’re gonna kill Nine unless Sonic gives them the shard, Nine tells him not to, he goes anyway and THROWS THE SHARD INTO THE OTHER SHARDS THE EGGMEN HAD COLLECTED SO HE CAN SAVE NINE, (he tries to get the shards back but they got swarmed by robots) and finally they get out and go to the ghost world. Shadow is really, REALLY mad at him for trading a SHARD just to save a little kit boy and ALSO mad because Sonic wants to keep Nine there, to keep him safe. Eventually, Shadow gives in after Nine mentions that he could build shadow a prosthetic, but he adds the clause that the moment nine finishes the prosthetic, he leaves. After that, Sonic goes to get the rest of the shards back while nine makes shadows prosthetic at tail’s workshop. For the next few chapters, we get into some sort of a routine; Try to get the shards, come back to the ghost world to rest, squabble with shadow, chat with nine for a little, and repeat. Some important things to mention from this period are: 

Nine is intentionally taking his time making Shadows prosthetic as well as making it break really easily & adding a secret “feature” that allows him to DUCKING electrocute him from afar using a remote implanted in his mechanical tails; 

Sonic doesn’t actually sleep during this time, he just takes 3 hour naps so he can get back home quicker, which only worsens the voice thing; 

Shadow, (who doesn’t understand what’s going on with sonic other than the vague sense that something’s wrong with him, unlike nine who got a basic lil explanation from sonic after asking wtf happened at boscage maze) is getting increasingly frustrated with Sonic because of how long it’s taking for him to get all the shards, as well as his continual trusting of nine.

This continues for a while, those “episodes” get worse and worse, Sonic grows closer to Nine and tension keeps building between sonic & shadow until……… THE EGG COUNCIL COMES!!!!! Again, since i still haven’t seen season two of Sonic prime, I don’t really know how this is gonna happen, but I do know it is gonna happen. (btw nine finishes shadow’s prosthetic & leaves like a day before the egg council comes) This is a massive battle and I have like a whole thing on how it’s gonna play out but the important things to not for the story are: Shadow finally sees Sonic’s “episodes” play out in front of him & he is understandably confused and concerned, but their in a battle right now so he can’t really do anything about it and …..

SONIC TRIES TO CHOP OFF HIS F$!)KING ARM! Ok, I definitely need to explain this a little more. During the first occurrence of the “voice,” it mentions something about them and sonic being the same person, & basically just says “I am a part of you, Sonic. The only way to get rid of me is to get rid of you.”  Edgy silly stuff like that, y’know? Well, during this one, it repeats that again and in Sonic’s panic, he decides to do something incredibly stupid and risky based on even dumber reasoning. You see, the voice said it was a part of him, not all of him. It also said that in order to get the voice out, he’d have to “get rid” of himself too. So, using this logic, if he only gets rid of a part of him, then he gets to keep living without the voice constantly haunting him. This is admittedly pretty silly logic, but he was in the middle of what is basically a panic attack, so cut him some slack. He tried to use a piece of scrap metal that fell off the robot to remove his arm, which unsurprisingly doesn’t work very well. It only cuts halfway, but sonic can’t really tell that it’s still attached since he’s unbelievably tired, & “it” did shut up after he stabbed his arm open soooooooo. He manages to drive the egg council off to their own dimension before passing out from blood loss, leaving shadow to rush him to tail’s workshop so he can get bandaged up, made harder with shadz new leg getting absolutely trashed.  ————————————————————————

Shifting log #1

Hello everyone, my name is Marianne and I am a shifter for 4 years, I was pretty much inactive for 3 years after my 1st but now I'm back

So I discovered shifting way back in 2020 on tiktok (lmao not rlly new) but switched to youtube, the only one shifter I trusted on youtube was Kristeau, her videos helped me a lot and her Diabolik lovers story time are funny as hell, I really recommend watching her when you're just starting out

Back in 2020, I did try shifting, the first few times (no method, just subliminals), it did not work but I did come close when I felt like floating and itching. There were also instances in the 3 years I wasn't actively trying to shift at all that I felt symptoms like while sleeping, I feel like I'm getting pulled into somewhere but due to me being a scaredy cat, also got occasional sleep paralysis, could not move, only my eyes, I tried my hardest to wake up and woke up in my CR. Its no surprise tho, considering you shift everyday in your life

Warning Ahead: Full of Yapping

Example of that is picking a choice, would you rather eat an egg or eat a bird? If you picked the egg, then you are currently in a reality where you did choose the egg but there is a reality that co-exists with that one wherein you picked to eat the bird. It also reminds me of a video in youtube about a theory about the universe spliting in two and making infinite possibilities every time a choice is made. Interestingly, there is also the butterfly effect wherein a small choice, seemingly insignificant can make something big happen in the future, amazing right?

We also have the Schrödinger's cat wherein there was a 50/50 percent chance the cat inside the box was dead or alive & the only way to know is if you open the box, or to put it more simply, the cat is both dead or alive until you open the box, going back to the parallel universe, there are two realities where the cat is dead and the other one is where its alive. And if we based it on quantum immortality/multiverse theory, there must be a version of you who is alive/dead as well

One more thought hehe, the time ratio thingy (Ex: CR = 1 Year & DR = 5 minutes) we have in our scripts when we shift, it also reminds me of the twin paradox wherein if we have twins that were born at the same time & are the same age and I send one twin to space in a speed of 99.9% light, the twin from space ages slower than the one in earth, twin-from-space's clocks ticks 4.5% as fast as the one on earth, so if twin-from-space comes back to earth after 5 years, he has only aged 5 years older but the one-on-earth twin has already aged 110 years older.

There are people who almost/died, some claim they reincarnated/born again, some claim they saw nothing, just quiet and a black void, some also claim to see heaven/hell (scary tbh.) and I kind of kept wondering if they shifted to somewhere where they assumed they'd end up, depending on their beliefs

codependent stozier. not ‘they always hang out’ codependency,, like actual toxic codependency. they havent been apart for more than twenty four hours in years and when they r their mental state deteriorates. they keep their distinctive personalities but they know each other so well that they become two halves of one person. if one isnt there the other is incomplete. they never even start dating bc it doesnt seem like ‘the next step’ , by the time they would start dating they r alr much past that point.

when they r still in school living w their parents the nights that werent predestined sleepovers somehow became mornings w both of them waking up in the same bed , getting ready together , going to school together.

facetime is like a saving grace when they have to be apart. their longest streak is like 51 hours or something,, like they leave it on overnight and sneak it into events they shouldnt. whenever one of them gets in trouble and gets their phone taken away they use one of the other losers phones and drains their battery.

they r each others main source of self control esp concerning their self destructive tendencies,, and like facetime cant rlly do much for that when they r apart so. mostly bc richie is clingy as hell he loves physical touch. stan also finds touch super comforting but he is v picky w the ppl he lets touch him otherwise he freaks out. i think all the losers r on his list but richie is like i said a clingy bitch so usually its just richie sprawled all over him constantly.

soz i turn all my favorite relationships obsessive and codependent idk what that says about me. im just in general a fan of codependent losers but i feel like stozier is just a tiny bit closer than the rest of them. also im a serial fem stozier fem losers girl so i usually picture this w them as girls

they are so dependent on each other it's insane. they have each other's clothes, blankets, plushies, toothbrushes and cds at both houses. they basically live with each other without moving out, and it became such a normal thing that they don't even need to text their parents to inform them they're gonna sleep over at the other's. they need to be in each other's presence, they need to because no one else can balance them like they balance each other. if one of them is inhaling, the other is exhaling in exchange because they're like that. they are the same breath, same mind and without the other it's almost like missing an arm and a leg.

they didn't feel the need to date, because they were already something more fucked up than that, not friends or lovers but more of a secret third thing.

they just have to feel the other in any type of way, whether it's by facetime, call, in person, anything. they will fuck up others' phones if they have to, if it means getting to talk to each other.

because they're mostly opposites in every way and they just can't it without the other. stan lets richie know when to shut up and richie urges stan to talk when it's the moment, stan notifying richie when he's about to go too far for a joke and richie cackling every time stan does one to encourage him and because it's funny, stan getting richie to get used to quiet times and richie getting stan to open up to more energy required activities. they just- ugh they

BEING EACH OTHER'S SELF CONTROL. YES. they understand each other so well that they can tell when the other is gonna get triggered, or gonna trigger themselves, and they just soothe each other before that happens. richie is a sucker for physical touch, and stan knows how and where to touch him to make him feel safer. he will push richie's hands in his hair because he knows richie likes the feeling and softness of them as he wraps his arms around richie and let him lay on his chest. richie knows when to not touch stan, but sometimes it's best to hold him close and just ramble in his ear about his favorite birds.

So lunar new years is accentually the Asian version of New years. It lasts to around two weeks and usually you get those days off for family and such. So this year it's on January 29th, which is rlly annoying. Because the 29th, can't we just round it up to the 30th ? Or down to the 28th ? Unfortunately it's not possible because it's by the moon. So the first few days are devoted to family, it also depends where exactly your from. It's often called the spring festival as well as it's the coming of the new year and spring is apon us. It lasts for 15 days and the lantern festival is on the last day of lunar new years. This year is the year of the snake.

In China :

There are often huge festivals of course bringing, Dragons, lion dances, and fireworks

This time of the year is when you celebrate with family so family reunions are often at the beginning.

However you want to be careful because the first person to step in your house is said to set the mood for the whole year. So make sure the person is in good spirits.

You've probably heard of them or seen jokes about them but there are red envelopes that contain money, usually given to children, sometimes teenagers. And newlyweds are often given them

In Korea it's a time where families pays respect to all their ancestors.

Often during this time Koreans will wear traditional clothing called hanbok. As well as "preforming deep bows" to the elders. It's accentually giving thanks to them. The bows are called "Sebae"

They also have a tradition with money however they call it "sebaetdon". Aka new years money.

Food is often put at it's highest during this point of time ! Eating dishes like tteokguk (rice cake soup), japchae (glass noodles), and mandu (dumplings). The tteokguk is in shapes of coins so people eat it for wealth and good luck.

They are also known for playing games, which I can't recall right now.

Like China they also have family reunions(actually they all do) and they call it "sweeping away the old" for the new year. So people will often clear their house spotless even going to the extreme of getting new things (I don't because I'm quite lazy)

Much like Korea they also have feasting ! There's so exact food they have but some dishes are said to bring good luck !

They also will cut up poems and hang them on doors and other places (idk where tho). And at the end of it all they'll be ripped up and disposed of symbolizing the end of the old and the start of the new

Temple visits are also very common, they'll burn incense and often visit with family !

Once you wake up on the day of lunar new years you should stay away the whole day and often after that (I also never do that because I take like 1000 naps. Infact my parents are NOW just telling me that's a tradition sooo.....)

In the words of my mother "Yes yes eat pineapple cakes" so Uhm... Yeah pineapple cakes ... :,3

This is also the time married daughters will come home with their husbands and kids (if the parents don't already live with the daughter)

And then it's not reconized in Japan (yes some places in Japan do that but I've yapped enough so...)

According to Google : "Japan stopped celebrating Lunar New Year as a national holiday in 1873 when it adopted the Gregorian calendar. The shift to the Gregorian calendar was part of the Meiji Restoration, when Westernizing was considered a sign of "modernization""

So accentually Japan celebrates normal new years with most of the world. But they still follow a lot of traditions just not the lunar part.

Some others do it but those are the countries I am from so that's the ones I know the most about

Random post alert (aka me ranting about school stuff + my review for the first mission in GTA TBoGT)

So, this was basically the last day of school for me (since the majority of teachers in my country are striking [due to low salaries] starting next week), and just like all school days, it was shit, even shittier than usual cuz I’ve been having beef with my benchmate for a while now and all I can say is that she snapped today because she claimed I “ignored” her the entire week. Well yeah, school is almost over, there’s the final exams (aka probably the most important ones in my life and which my entire academic future depends on) waiting for me to take them at the end of June, so I have no fucking energy left to listen to you crying about your bf not texting you “good morning” or sending you 3 hearts instead of 5 or other shit like this.

But whatever, I have no energy left to draw anything today either (sorry 😔). Since this was the last week of school and most of us (myself included) didn’t have enough grades, you can only imagine I had to study quite a lot this week.

However, I didn’t rlly procrastinate all day today. After waking up from a nap, I decided to start playing GTA TBoGT instead.

All I can say is that the experience so far is interesting (just like the last time I played this game), even if I just finished only the first mission.

I genuinely didn’t know what to do in the club when the game told me to “hang out” in it. I tried doing the dancing mini game, but after constantly failing, I just went upstairs and did the champagne chugging one instead (since, for me at least, that one’s easier).

Also, I love Luis’ self confidence when he’s drunk. My man literally went: “LUIS 😡 FERNANDO 😤 LOPEZ 😫 !!! REMEMBER THAT NAME ☝�� !!!” or “I 🙋‍♂️ WILL RULE 💪 THIS TOWN 🗣️ !!!”

I like it :)

What I don’t like tho is the fact that the missions are being scored here. I was like “🫤” when I saw I only scored 50% ffs 😭😔

But overall, good game 😐👍

first impression: ok full disclosure i did NOT like saw the first time i saw it LOL. i thought adam was annoying and the bathroom was yucky and it was too slow paced. BUT i did like amanda she was like the redeeming quality to me. and once i watched saw ii i was completely sucked in she was everything to me. the way she claws at her face when she first wakes up like shes expecting the bear trap is such an acting moment of all time.

impression now: i love her so much shes the best apprentice her character is everything to me. i dont know what to say that hasnt been said before but i guess my most recent impression of her was in saw x and i just felt like her character, at the state in between saw and saw ii, was so well written. like her dependence on john but her reluctance to hurt people who she doesnt think fully deserve it... god... you can see the doubts starting to form like why are we doing this am i fixed is this what being fixed feels like... and shes so so scared of losing him... godddd. god. and her dykey outfit... i had some issues w saw x amanda was not one of them

favorite moment: DIFFICULT QUESTION hmmm all her moments r so good. i think the one that makes me craziest is i forget the exact line but in saw iii she tells lynn smth like "sure u can kill me but when john heres me cry out hell come running for me and rip off his heart monitor and then ull die" but later when shes bleeding out she looks up at john and reaches out for him and he just looks down at her and tells her its her destiny. COMPLETELY FUCKED. also obviously "fix me" and you know what can i just list all of saw iii as my favorite moment.

idea for a story: god. ok. like actual film wise i think we should move on from john kramer forever and honestly like over the course of the 4 movies shes in weve gotten a pretty good look at amandas character like it feels like theres limited room to fit in a new story. theres small things id like to see, more of her interacting and butting heads w the othe apprentices, but nothing like huge within canon bc i feel like it would throw off her arc. that being said idk how it would fit into a film but i would like to see her almost relapse post saw ii but discover that shes developed a fear of needles and instead of taking this as like. a fucked up thing. she tries to reframe it as like proof that traps work like she Is Fixed. but obviously this is right before saw iii and shes wavering but shes trying to tell herself that. developing ptsd over being thrown into a pit of needles. was a good thing<3

unpopular opinion: i dont rlly ship her and gabriela i see gabriela very much as a mirror of amanda but i dont rlly think its valuable or interesting to interpret that relationship as romantic SORRY

favorite relationship: ive said it before she and lynn have the craziest chemistry of any couple in all the saw movies like what was in the water on set that made them act that way... my only wish is that more fans made them insane rather then like. in lynn lives aus where theyre cute and healing together like no. they wouldnt do that. and then of relationships in canon obviously her and john have the most interesting and tragic thing going on (to be clear i dont mean relationships as in romantic here) but if i think about that too long ill start crying so instead lets just remember her and lynns crazy dyke swag.

favorite headcanon: oughh god idk... shes such a complete and basically perfect character to me i dont have a lot of big ideas about her outside of whats shown... like i said i think she has a phobia of needles after saw ii that she pushes through for the sake of traps that require it and then immediately goes and like throws up after. i think she bites her hand when shes really angry and sometimes draws blood. i think it reminds her of the beartrap and i think she pretends that gives her comfort. and i think at some point pre saw she dated the same vegan feminist punk that adam did<3

neither! it is to freeze! he's not a violent person, has never intended to cause harm unless it really, really requires it. but due to the nature of his upbringing, his response to a lot of sudden or frightening moments is to freeze. as if he wont be seen if he just stays still.

🍧 - do they still have any objects from their childhood? what significance does it have to them? what would their reaction be if they lost it?

calypso still owns a copy of goodnight moon that his mother would read to him every night as a baby and toddler. and when he was slightly older, when she would have really bad sick days, he would lay in bed beside her and read the book to her. it's really important to him, as it lets him keep that piece of mother with him always when he's upset, and he intends to read it to his kids if he has any. if he lost it, he would be in total distress and meltdown; he can't just get another copy of it, either, because the pages wont have the same nail polish stain, or the corner slightly nibbled on from when he was a curious and teething baby.

he's birdie; he's the optimism people search for in their times of feeling lost, he's the warmth from the sun engulfing you in its rays, he's the flicker of a guiding flame in the deepest caves. he wears this mask that everything is fine, but in reality he's never felt so lost in his life. in fact, all he does is try to fuel himself with false optimism when all his mind can think about are the negatives and the what ifs. if he's seemingly okay and happy, then maybe it'll rub off on others! ( he just feels worse )

I LOVE THIS okay. surprisingly birdie does NOT trust easy, though he is a sucker for second chances and i can't even explain how that works. he very much dislikes sudden changes, and literally any new person he comes across that ends up almost becoming a part of his and his group's daily life he's so sus of. he is deathly loyal, too afraid to lose anyone important to him as he is afraid of being alone and turning cruel, so he wouldn't turn his back on someone unless they REALLY messed up. he's technically been backstabbed by his dad, believed he was like,,, Okay for the first couple years of his life and then it just went downhill. if given an ultimatum, it really depends on what it is. if it has to deal with the well-being of loved ones then yes.

☁️ - a soft headcanon!

head in hands sobbing, birdie has pretty shite eyesight but wears contacts except for the time he lost his last pair of lenses and ended up having to wear his glasses for a week which have rlly goofy ass, thick lenses and he looked so precious and dumb. he also has a sensory swing when he moves out to live with his partner and huddles in it when he feels bad or feels smth comin on, or just chills and naps in it hehe. he LOVES chocolate, especially anything chocolate mint, but can be a messy eater and gets ice cream/cake/etc. all over his cheeks :sob:
