Hey, I'm that one anon from a few weeks back who was pretty skeptical about rats 2, so i thought it would be nice to come back and share how is it going

So first of all, the negatives. Yesterday was the 1st big event of the season and I did not enjoy it too much. The story itself was okay i guess, typical halloween ghost story, but it had the minecraft server - typical problem of some people speaking way too loud and over others. I was watching from Martyn's pov and he had to mute everyone twice bc of the overstimulation, and spent lots of the event in his own or in small groups

Apart from that, honestly pretty happy with the smp? It has returned to the communal vibes of rats 1 instead of dividing everyone im groups, which is great bc it s almost imposible to log in and not meet everyone else who is logged in at the moment. That was one of pirates s worst sins imo. Also, it has small missions for the players to do, which are not that interesting tbh, but they don t take far as much time as the ones in pirates which enable the players to mostly hang out and vibe. Also the whole running away from humans is a very fun premise. The whole concept of the smp is honestly just a reprise of rats 1, which brings the question of if it is really necessary, but by now it s being fun sooo i guess it gets a pass (by now)

The environment is very chaotic, but apart from the event it doesn t usually feel like too much. The one problem is that it distracts the players from actually building lol. Talking about building, they have had lots of technical issues with the chisel and bits mod, so they have changed tl another mod which seems tl be working better, although now the players have to relearn how to build in that size. But ngl, some of them are going crazy with the building, Sniff, Eloise, Scott, Sausage and Ros mainly are CRAZY

About the players, I am only following closely a handful of them, but it s generally being a blast. Having them roleplay as rats is just silly and brings good vibes and bits. My one hot take is that although I think he's a very talented builder, I find Sausage kind of annoying in smps, and also one of the loudest during events, but that's probably a me thing. Apart from him, Tubbo and Ros have done a cult and it's delightful to watch, the Martyn and Ren duo is super fun as expected, Oli is once again the funniest fucker alive, El and Bek are amazing. A creator I didn t know too well until now is Watermunch and she's great, his laugh especially gives me seratonin

So yeah, not everything is great or super interesting but it's fun and chaotic and as much as I bash in pirates, Ros and Water were great aditions to the cast so I am glad it exists. But pleeeease someone tell them to keep calm during moments with lots of people, it's uncomfy for the watchers, some ccs get overwhelmed and others can barely speak. Another problem I ve seen is that a portion of Tubbo s chat keep metagaming, which is annoying af, but whatever ig

I definitely have heard good things about treebark rats (I do think renrat having a wife is the one of. maybe the funniest things to come out of SMPs good god martyn im so. im so sorry martyn) and even though i wasn't a fan of the original i did have fun watching garbage rat clips. That impromptu music number he did with the camera angle changes is like. genuinely high art to me.

also good on martyn for knowing his limits. I can imagine it's a rough choice to make in the moment what with the pressure to perform and whatnot.

I'm bored so I'm going to talk about Junebug

What is Junebug?

  - Junebug is a video game I’ve wanted to make for a while now. It’s a bit older than Adventures with 9, but has less work and lore.

What type of video game is it?

  - Junebug is a psychological horror and adventure-type game based heavily around mental health and recovery.

What do you play as?

  - You play as Beetle, a half-blind service animal (traditionally a ginger-pointed cat, but I’m thinking about adding other designs).

What do you do?

  - In Junebug, you have 6 days (technically 7, but the 1st is a tutorial) to find the root of June’s biggest problem. Every day, you spend your hours with her and witness her day-to-day events and alert her of any issues that occur (such as seizures and heart rate). Every night you spend time in her realm of mind, and use wit and puzzle-solving to manage the “monsters,” / battle the negative ideal and overcome them.

Who is June?

  - June (nicknamed Junebug), is a 16 y/o with mental and physical disabilities. Some of these include early-onset psychosis, epilepsy, and more. They have an irregular heartbeat that the source is unknown.

  - June’s pronouns are They/She.

What does June look like?

  - I never quite finished her ref sheet (because I suck at choosing clothes), but she has curly hair that I’ve always imagined as ginger or strawberry blonde.

  - They have a larger body. Sorta like mine but wider ig lol

  - Originally, she is pale but I might change that to better fit her features 

What are the “Monsters,”?

  - They’re issues that people with mental disabilities often experience. You cannot fight them with brute strength and you cannot “kill,” or erase them entirely. You have to use your wits and logic to challenge them without harm.

  - You battle a different one every night. Here are a few I have completed:

Rexy - Based on the Doberman, Rexy is a large gray dog with small eyes and pointed (cropped) ears. They have darker, bloodshot eyes and a thin, bony body. Their mouth is stuck open with large fangs and long tongue. There are tear and drool stains on their face and their mouth extends past a normal length. Round, small eyes are scattered across their upper front legs. 

Rexy has more than one mouth, with another that ranges from the bottom of their chest and curls up to the side of their stomach. It has teeth that jut out and it can never entirely close.

Rexy is frail but rabid. The more you fight against them with brute strength, the stronger they are. The more you give in, the more powerful they become. You have to use wit to challenge negative ideals.

Rexy is based on eating disorders and the problems that occur with them. 

The Rat King - Not based on the rat king tale, I just think it's fitting. The rat king is a giant mass of writhing rats that screech and watch, planning their attack.  Every rat has several eyes dotting its body. Their fur is oily yet dry, streaked with odd fluids of several origins. 

The faces of the rat split into a star shape, and they have a long barbed tongue that shoots out to slash the player. 

The tail of each is scarred, rough, and sharp with dead skin. Each rat also has long fingers and claws that don’t quite belong. Their ears are naturally tilted back.

The rat king is based on social anxiety, the fear that nobody is telling the truth when they say that they think you’re cool. It masses into a giant mess and will overtake you if you don’t manage it well.

Little Hoof - Little Hoof is a lamb with a second, generally still head and an extra pair of front hoofs. They look innocent, prancing around and trying to keep you from harm but they get worse by the minute. The second head screams in terror for unknown reasons, shaking and distorting the world around it in the process and creating rifts in space.

Little Hoof creates a false sense of safety and a false sense of disarray, creating distortions in vision and blurring the realm until it no longer functions. It will cause random jumpscares and shift the world to its design.

Little Hoof is based on irrational paranoia. 

What do you do each day?

  - Most is yet to be decided. Each day has a different step in healing, and you absolutely can make mistakes.

Difficulty modes

  - There would be multiple difficulty modes and settings, each with its special options.

Peaceful : The enemies are simplified and the music will be set to something calming during the night. There will be no dark or unsettling imagery. No timer.

Easy : Normal mode. The game plays easily, and there's no timer. 

Average : Puzzles will be different, and there will be fewer clues. Normal timer.

Break-A-Sweat : Same as average but with doubled enemies. Few clues. Normal timer.

Terror-Town : Tough puzzles, tripled enemies. No clues. Shorter time.

Minced-Meat : You get one save and no restart. Tough puzzles, double enemies, and mistakes are force enabled. You also get less time than before to complete puzzles, tasks, and more. No clues, no tutorial day. About half the time you get on other levels. 

Extras : Vision levels, graphics

What are the tasks and mistakes?

  - Tasks would be taking care of yourself and June. 

  - Mistakes and time come in during the battle. If you fail, June wakes up and you are unable to continue. You can try again the next but it leaves less time for the one originally set for that night. The timer adds difficulty because it can automatically fail you or you will have to restart. 

Story

  - There is, of course, a story. Every day is something different and you hear about plans in advance.

  - It’s set in 2016. June lives in Hairu City, in the country of Abethstan. It's close to the equator and most of the population are immigrants.

  - I entirely erased Canada and the USA, sorry. Also russia, britain.

  - Iceland did nothing wrong but I swapped it with greenland to be silly

Falling In Reverse playing postponed show in Phoenix/AZ, 10/15/2024

The Phoenix show was postponed by Falling In Reverse from the date of Sep 25th to Oct 15th 2024 because of technical difficulties. Regardless, the majority of the audience came back to the venue on the new date, probably because it was important for them to see FIR live and eventually meet Ronnie with a VIP Platinum ticket.

The show was phenomenal, Ronnie and the band were hyped to the max, the crowd was huge and extremely receptive. It was worth even the double travel for those who had to come back from Sep 25th. The show was sold out, the venue was immense, the vibes were mindblowing.

Instead of Black Veil Brides and Dance Gavin Dance the opening band were Tech N9ne and Bad Wolves this time. Jeris Johnson was missing too. But the FIR show made up for the loss, nobody complained after the show.

A ton of videos were made but very few good pictures, we were spoiled after the Mexican festival, now it seemed like there weren't pro photographers there, or they didn't share their pics on socials. Ronnie posted 3 good shots and I found another 2 medium quality ones on IG.

Many videos were including the crowd which was impressively big. The stage was huge too, it looked amazing from the distance. The video screen was freaking awesome and the sounding blew the audience away as well. Ronnie was going mad on the stage.

This show was practically the last one of the Popular MonsTour World Domination II - 1st Leg/U.S. Summarizing the things that happened, we can say it was an exciting period in the life of FIR. Marc Okubo joined the band, replacing Max Georgiev, Christian Thompson evaluated to being the lead guitarist, the stage pyro exceeded all the expectations - I hope EU stages will be able to cope with all the fire.

The same PMT will be continued in Europe/UK soon, between Nov 4th - Dec 16th 2024. [I personally will be attending Hungary on Nov 23rd, London on Dec 8th and London again on Dec 16th, on Ronnie's Birthday Party.]

once again Comparing/Crossing over ROTTMNT with Something Else™. Today I bring you Fire Emblem Fates Rottmnt ! I'm thinking abt this as if it were an AU and the turtles take up the royal childrens' places. This is gonna be long, TLDR at the end.

First obv is deciding which side they're on and I do that by basing their personalities off of the other characters. So I was thinking Nohr. I think Hoshido would be a good fit for the sake of "Being The Good Guys" and Karai would make a great Mikoto, but the 4 siblings just. don't fit for the Rise Siblings, I don't think. Ryoma for Raph MAYBe works? Takumi for Leo or Donnie is like. Alright. I can't see Hinoka being anyone and Sakura is way too shy and (for lack of a better word) weak ? And I think I'd want April to be Corrin, only cuz I don't know who else Corrin could be.

I find the Nohr Siblings to be the best fit. Xander as Raph, alright I can see some differences but mainly I think it works. Camilla as Leo I think it alright. They're both laid back but deadly and. Look, they're both the face people. Kind of. Camilla is definitely self aware though. Leo as Donnie ??? literally a perfect match idc. I think it's a little funny that Leo doesn't fit Leo but oh well. Mikey for Elise also works really well I think, very friendly & the sunshine in everyone else's lives.

I have no idea who the Hoshido Siblings would be then but that's alright they don't matter here ..!! Azura I have /some/ thoughts for. My first was she's Venus de Milo (i know not rottmnt technically) but she could also just be Big Mama's Assistant since I feel like they're definitely supposed to be a turtle. I also have never read or seen anything where Venus was in so maybe their personalities don't fit at all. My second thought was Casey Jr. I don't have much to explain besides that I just . it makes sense in my head ? Like we don't know that much of Casey jr to begin with and maybe he's more excitable than Azura but !! Really don't know who else would be her !!! Someone help me !!!

April as Corrin also doesn't seem exactly right (mostly to me just cuz Corrin's the third youngest, but April's the oldest in the show) But it could still work I think kind of. Alternatively Casey could be Corrin? Might be a better fit? Then maybe April could be Azura ,, same 1st letter of their names ,,, But I think April Corrin works alright (especially if Karai is Mikoto :3) Mainly cuz I don't think April for Azura works that well, they're pretty different

I have made new gremlins. And I feel awkward to share it with my frens n buddy-ol'-pals. So you can have it, while I explain some more made-up mr Small lore

(1st part)

First things first, due to the fact that his fur is white and he's an imm.igr.ant (censoring so that it won't clog actual serious posts), I thought he'd be living somewhere snowy. Not Canada because hardcore.

And by brainstorming a bit, I made it so he lived in the mountains around Al.ta.i/Ka.zach.stan region, that revolved around shepherding goats (see also, the fact that the only animal that didn't try to immediantly k!ll him is his goat Gwyneth from Gumball BOOM! Comics Issue 4) (yes, apparantly he has a goat) (tho ig it's B-grade canon. but canon is only a suggestion, as one wise person said)

Considering this, I had to think of some sort of culture for this rural enviroment, which includes religion and beliefs in spirits, deities, etc. So! Here are some funky guys, gals and nonbinary pals for you!!

1. Asamäkhn (Life-Gifter). Embodiment of life, creator of the Universe (she/they/it)

Despite looking playful and curious, they have long lost any sympathy for its creations and consideres them less as its children and more as lab rats. She watches over all the villagers, mr Small and Anna, his sister [purely for the AU], as if it's a reality show.

(Some backstory: In "The Void", mr Small, before getting dragged into finding out about Void with Watterson bros, was meditating. For some spirit worshipping readons, he had, quote "six nipple eyes" and the typical third eye painted on. I stole it because it was neat, and it actually kickstarted developing my girl Mäkhn!) So, Asamäkhn posesses four sets of eyes:

On the head. Function as normal eyes, although are a bit blind;

Top row on chest. Eyes that look into past. They mostly use it to rewind on some of their favourite moments in others' lives, or to look at the greatest mistakes in humanity's history to laugh at;

Middle row on chest. Eyes that look into present. It might seem reduntant to have two sets of eyes that do the same function, but these can see into any point of the world it wishes to observe mortals;

Bottom row on chest. Eyes that look into the future. These are always locked on either our desolate planet, or on her favourite cleric's¹ final moments — to not spoil the fun.

The single eye on the forehead sees the spirit world, i.e., if she comes down to the temple to chat with her friend, it can still watch over the domain

As a god of life, it can create anything. However, they can't destroy any of their creations. Which is what the next god is for

2. Asatokaln (Life-Taker). Embodiment of death, guardian of the souls' peace (she/they/it)

For this segment I will put my Discord messages, because they describe them pretty well

Fun fact! Technically speaking, Mäkhn and Tokaln aren't siblings, but since they appeared at the same time, they just call themselves that

I must also add: the dead's soul gets eaten by the chest mouth and moves onto the afterlife from there. Because I can

3. Terlamäkhn (Goat-Gifter). Patron of the life stock and shepherding (he/it)

"Is dressed in traditional shepherd coat (sinam). Carries a yarlyga on its back, with which controls goat herds.

This creature watches over every shep out there by silently climbing on the cliffs. Tärlamäkhn sees everything and punishes for the actions done for ill will by making the goats run off or drying up the grass in the meadows.

According to the legends, created the mountain fauna and gave some sheps a yarlyga. Shepherding is passed down the generations.

Shepherds must pray to him and bring part of their collection to the temple."

I HAVE talked about him in the previous post, but how could I not bring up the first funky dude!!

The only really new information I can add is that he is kind of a right hand man to Asamäkhn, to keep the villagers somewhat in control. However, they haven't realised that he is a bit too determined on its mission. Him stalking others was bad enough, but in some cases he'd shoo away almost all the herds for a single little mistake. Of course, it eventually stopped effectively terrorising Sheps, but he still horrifies some that are in the pantheon

4. (Placeholder name will be in these <> parentheses) <Haddei>. Essentially a domovoy (can be any gender, but usually a guy; he/him)

Aaaaand here is the main scaredy cat when it comes to even mentioning Terlamäkhn

This guy's duty is to keep an assigned house (the one where he was born from stray dust and fur collection) safe and clean. Obviously, if the owner is bad and doesn't take care of their household, Haddei will get mad and try to get rid of the owner (some try to guide to mop floors at least, but it doesn't really work)

But ever since Terlamäkhn's terror (yes, that's how it's called) that caused famine not just in the upper, but some lower areas¹, Haddeis are a lot more soft with the house owners. And a lot more paranoid

5. <Zeph>. Spring breeze spirit (he/him)

The whole reason as to why I'm making this post! While I don't have much lore here, I simply adore him and must share the good boy

He is carefree, always fast on his feet, and skips when walking no matter what. (He also can float using the fluffy tail!) Zeph can be impatient, waiting for the warmth in the upper layers to happen, but when the time comes, he is ecstatic to bring spring and blooming

Zeph is always curious, ready to talk with others and tell them his news and gossip. But his carelessness needs to be straightened out by the last deity for today

6. <Moro>. Winter wind spirit (he/him)

As opposed to Zeph, Moro is strict, heavy and can be ruthless. He also has a long tail, but prefers to use a carriage with vulture birds to fly around (definetely not inspired stolen from Father Frost nonono /j)

One thing that is certain about Moro is that he is grumpy and prefers traditions and holds onto the past a lot. One of his most known phrases is "This is child's play compared to the Ice Age!" when some argue that his winds are too strong and cruel. The only person that can convince him to slow down is Zeph. Not always, but most of the time

hey so i love the new wave of mini figures and all but... why did they make another jayfeather figure... like yeah he's got his stick now and also the scar on his side is visible now but :/

also out of all the characters they could've chose to make a mini figure out of,,,,,,,,,they chose blackstar. and compared to how popular the other mini figure characters are, its. a strange choice. like how leafstar was included with the first wave despite being much less popular than the otther 5.

personally i would've preferred maybe replacing leafstar with leafpool in the first set, and then maybe replacing blackstar with squirrelflight. then maybe if there's ever a 3rd wave then they could have leafstar, blackstar, and idk who else. maybe hollyleaf and crowfeather, maybe dovewing and ivypool as well.

they seem to be going off of the 1st 2nd and 3rd series' only though. the first wave had 3 characters from the 1st arc (technically 4 if you count tawnypelt ig), 1 from the 2nd arc if you count the 2nd arc as being tawnypelt's debut, 1 from the 3rd arc, and 1 from inbetween the 1st and 2nd arcs

the second wave has 5 characters from the 1st arc and 1 character from the 3rd arc who was already featured in the 1st wave of mini figures.

if they're going off of mainly using characters from the 1st-3rd arcs, maybe the next wave will include squirrelflight and leafpool. maybe also hollyleaf and crowfeather, and maaaybe bluestar and yellowfang. or spottedleaf. or maybe darkstripe. or maybe sol?
