Really fucking disappointed but not suprised that Target is no longer going to be selling Welcome Committee Frankie.

I understand it's for "employee safety" but it sucks seeing the multi billion dollar corporation that used to be allllll about ✨️Supporing the Gays™️💅🏾✨️ start to change their tune a bit due to homphobic and transphobic cockmunches.

As someone who has worked for a university, and in retail, I do know that most outside security in the US is hired by a borderline monopoly called Allied Universal, known for giving little to no training and really just being overall security theater like the TSA is, but it would be somewhat of a deterrent to some of these people out here to have their guards in Target stores as opposed to doing things like this.

No employee should be getting harassed by shitty transphobes at work, and people shouldn't be making bomb threats over pride merch (or anything else) regardless, but I also don't think the answer is bending to the will of these shitty people pissed off over dolls or plastic rainbow party cups or whatever.

All its doing is sending out a message to all these homophobes and transphobes that if they threaten violence enough, they win.

I had managed to “pre-order” Welcome Committee Frankie when they were briefly on Amazon ( after Amazon checked if I still wanted it after it was delayed), it has suddenly just disappeared from my Orders. anyway the ‘mystery’ part of the garden mysteries was dumb as shit ur supposed to use the color part of the key to find clues but you can SO CLEARLY see the clue without it lmao

drac looks super high and it makes me giggle

idk how i feel about the color combos for them but sure idk HAHA

its nice to see drac in a different color but im not a fan of red on pink lmfao, also i think it washes her out like i opened it up and i was like why does she look so gd pale (her skin tone is the same its always been)

and i think venus’ colors were too dark they kinda clash ? ik the theme was to aim for darker colors but idk.

twylas looks the best imo but i think the darker aesthetic fits her best anyway.

im guessing its not intentional but the darker colors paired with the velvet skirts and satin tanks and lace give off major christmas vibes and idk how to feel about that HAHA bc twyla also has a literal gingerbread house but these released in october like 2 weeks ago so idk lol

the socks absolutely do not fit twyla and dracs dolls they look so goofy HAHA

nice to have another twyla and venus doll. twyla was in neon frights but that line was so fucking ugly i cannot bring myself to spend money on it HAHA

also venus’ edges looking like plant vines is SO CUTE too bad they yoinked her twists in favor of straight hair tho :/

the shoes have like super cool details (as always) but they were easily my favorite parts of the outfits it was so cooooool:

bottom of dracs main shoes show her side profile for both vampire (left) and witch (right) and i think its SO neat such a tiny but good detail. cant tell what the heel is supposed to resemble if anything but my best guest is just a coffin lmfao. bottom of the second pair has a heart with a D in it,, sure lol

venus’ main ones are themed around like a city subway station (?) map im assuming bc shes from Boo York in g3, also they very much resemble g1 Music Fest Venus’ shoes :3

Twylas main heel is a stack of books which i really dig i think its so cute tbh, the bottom and wedge both resemble the garden mysteries pattern,, and the heel on the 2nd pair is a spider and web i think its neat, the bottoms also have a wooden texture

idk if im trippin but Garden Mysteries Draculaura’s hair smells like strawberries🧍🏻‍♀️

Welcome Committee Frankie in higher resolution rumored to be $30 dollars as a Target exclusive in Spring 2024!

My mistake ghouls this isn't an official pride Frankie but since I see the social justice pride flag on Frankie's bag and Watzie's scarf, pan colors on the shoes, and the trans colors on their shirt I naturally assumed it was a pride doll. However I think this is MH's thinly veiled way of supporting pride that's just vague enough to avoid bigoted backlash hopefully. I still hope to see a Cleo and Frankie two pack for pride someday! 🌈

More new things over on my Ko-Fi, this time a lot of stuff for G3 Monster High!

Frankie's outfit is a little response to their Welcome Committee doll being indefinitely delayed and Drac's is because they haven't really been leaning into her Loli-Goth aesthetic (I recognize her outfit doesn't follow Loli-Goth standards, but I did take inspiration from them).

The others are mostly just for fun because I wanted to work with the fabrics and graphics. 😆
