So like. As amazing at the tma has been about fat acceptance and love and has been absolutely vital to a lot of my self acceptance as a fat trans man, because this fandom actually talks about fat people (as opposed to other fandoms where fat characters and hcs are nonexistent), it means it’s also exposed me to the most and worst fatphobia of any fandom. I genuinely don’t even gaf about the actual discourse discussed in this fandom, it’s generally the people who negatively react to discourse of ppl complaining about fatphobia. The initial problems are usually ignorable to me, but it ends up bringing up peoples voices that make it incredibly clear what their true thoughts about fat ppl are. Idrk why I thought I should share this with you, ig just seeing if you have similar experiences.
I struggle here because i don't like to feel like i am attacking other artists. i'm a hater and i love to complain but i know i have my own short comings. but when it comes to the fatphobia in this fandom im always left not knowing how to talk about things because people will come to me and tell me why my complaint about someone thinning out a fat character is wrong or bad.
do keep in mind i dont really engage with the tma fandom as much i feel very much on the outskirts so this is jsut what i feel like i see on my end and i'm sure theres way more going on i simply dont know
in recent months we have had a newer influx of artists in the fandom who have come in with their own interpretations of the characters which is all fine and good. its jarring sometimes when we become so used to these formless characters looking a certain way that when new people enter the fandom with different ideas it feels wrong and like an attack.
the biggest issue has been people drawing a thinner martin. and while of course everyones welcome to their own interpretation and martin expressing that he's not exactly the smallest guy has multiple ways to be interpreted it is extremely frustrating to see people take that as giving him the most bare minimum extra weight. especially when having a fat character as desirable and as a love interest and such a Fun character is so far and few between
i could go on and on about how each time a popular artist posts a thin martin it gives everyone who looks up to them the excuse to do the same and it's why it's become such a prevalent thing lately. i don't think popular artists should have to worry about being good role models or anything in a fandom i think if youre making art you should do it for fun but it sucks to see when someone becomes so influential and are creating a problem. i deleted like three paragraphs on this alone so i'm going to move on.
i think what i see in the fandom most in regards to fatphobia is a skill issue. people don't know how to draw fat characters. but it also feels like people are barely trying. the artist i have in mind who i would consider to draw skinny martins DOES add a bit of roundness to him. i can aknowledge theyre doing SOMETHING. but you can't come to me and tell me that i can't criticize their art because culturally that's fat to them... like sure it could be. but it's also definitely a limitation of their art style and ability and instead of defending them and patting them on the back for doing good enough shouldnt we encourage people to grow and improve? what an amazing asset to be able to draw people of all size and variety. thats an AMAZING abillity to have in youre tool belt. i wish i had more resources for drawing bodyfat but unfortunately i do not. i have learned from looking at people and luckily having a lot of large loved ones in my life i've learned from as well as you know.. my own body to learn from. and learning to draw bodyfat and drawing characters i love with it has done wonders for my body dysmorphia.
i went on a rambling tangent and idk how coherent all of that is but the end point is that fatphobia sucks it has no place in this or any fandom and we need to practice our skills instead of erasing something that has made this fandom so wonderful to me.
here's some resources

hello! im new to the selfship (yume) world and am absolutely in love w ur content <3 im wondering, if u dont mind, where u commission/create ur jadetham art? it's so so beautiful and i hope ur having a lovely lovely day :D -🍵
omg hiiieee ! giving you a very warm welcome to the selfship / yume community — i hope you enjoy your stay ^^ ++ AAAH TYSM 🥹💗 i’m so happy that you enjoy my content ?! omg i’m so honored !
i usually find artists via twitter or instagram ! when i first started getting comms i would peruse the #commissionsopen tag (or anything similar), and follow artists i like. usually they will also reblog other artists’ comm posts, and then the algorithm will kinda take it from there. i also like browsing vgen since that is literally a comm platform ! BTW if you find an artist w a style you like, it also doesn’t hurt to dm them for comm info if they don’t have it on their page ♡
if you’d like a jumping off point, you can take a stroll through my 𝓵𝓸𝓿𝓮𝓻’𝓼 𝓵𝓪𝓷𝓮 ᯓᡣ𐭩 tag where i reblog my mutuals’ ss art (i can’t link it on mobile T T but it works best anyways if you go in via my featured tags since tumblr tags are dhksrkl) they usually have the artist in the caption or the original tags ჱ̒✧°́⌳ー́)੭
artists i’ve comm’d so far are @/rururi_rui (twt) @/mozzachiz (twt) @/abyss_of_alyss (twt/vgen) @/_hui.an (ig) @/potatacheep (vgen)
+ off the top of my head, artists i’ve seen recently w open commissions @/ruiaes (tumblr) @/yuniv812 (tumblr) @/vanillssugar (tumblr) @/lars_jupiter (twt) @/puri24A (twt) @/luvluvluv06 (twt) @/apoool___ (twt) also my mutual manu (@/persicipen) has comms that are closed atm but keep an eye out just incase 😼

Omg this new event IMMEDIATELY had me giggling and kicking my feet— (Anons are welcome right-?)Anyway— My MBTI is an INFP. I have a myriad of hobbies, sports (I play soccer too ^^) and art being my main ones. I’m rly introverted- I LOVE horror :33 (My favourite horror movie is the SAW franchise). My style is alternative, my favourite aesthetics being grunge or y2k. I also love music!! (I’m borderline obsessed) (TMI warning?? It’s okay if you’d rather not write on this) I’m kinda sorta very mentally screwed— childhood trauma and shi 😔😔. Like I’ll completely avoid you out of nowhere cause you left me on read for ten seconds and now I think you hate me (BPD anyone??). I also struggle w/ SH so that’s that ig. So what I’d look for in a partner is understanding and patience being the two biggest things.
looking forward to it!!
Your Blue Lock Matchup: Karasu Tabito
Karasu Tabito is a perfect match for your personality and emotional needs. As someone who is introverted and values deep emotional understanding, Karasu’s calm, reserved demeanour and his strong sense of independence would align with your own need for space and introspection. He’s not the kind of person to push you into situations you’re not comfortable with.
Karasu’s patience is one of his most defining qualities, and that would be invaluable for someone with your sensitivity and struggles. He has a natural ability to read people and understand them on a deeper level, which would make him especially attuned to your emotional needs. When you're feeling off, withdrawn, or overwhelmed, Karasu wouldn’t pressure you to talk or change, but he’d be there, offering his company, he wouldn't expect you to talk if you didn't want to, he just wants to be there with you.
Your love for horror films would interest him, he never really watched horror movies because he found them so predictable and fake growing up. While he’s not particularly expressive about his preferences, he’s someone who appreciates complexity in things—and what’s more complex than the psychological horror and twisted narratives of SAW? He would be thrilled if you forced him to sit down and watch the movies because he would end up loving them in the end.
With your alternative style and interests in grunge and y2k aesthetics, Karasu would respect your individuality. He’s not one to judge or comment on appearances, but he’d appreciate your commitment to expressing yourself authentically through your fashion, it isn't mediocre at least. While he might not fully dive into these aesthetics himself, Karasu would appreciate and admire you no matter what you're dressed in.
As for soccer, Karasu would love the idea of a partner who is also sporty, he'd want you to help him practise and play with you just for fun sometimes. He wouldn't feel the need to perfect the way he plays around you when just having fun, and would be okay with being 'okay'.
Your mental health struggles wouldn’t deter Karasu—he’s someone who’s dealt with his own inner battles and understands the complexity of human emotions. He wouldn’t push you to open up or force any kind of vulnerability, but he would be patient and understanding, offering his support when you need it most. If you found yourself spiralling or overthinking, Karasu would be there for you in any way he could, and he pays attention to you very carefully. I think he has his own struggles in his self-worth, he doesn't take risks because he doesn't think he could make the leap without falling.

welcome ! !
firstly, DO NOT INTERACT IF U ARE 25+
im a teen grl that luvs cats, fashion, makeup, art, witchcraft, music, hello kitty and anything pink or glittery. really, i luv anything cute and hot, so basically ME!
fair warning, almost my whole closet is black and i luv mixing elements of y2k (old and new), emo, and goth into my style but i do intend this blog to be mostly dollish. just dont be too surprised if the darkness seeps in hehe
DO NOT INTERACT WITH MY PAGE IF YOU ARE OVER 24. i am redoing this post from my original pinned post because there are two many 25+ yo dirty gross men following me. DO NOT FOLLOW ME. I DON'T WANT TO SEE YOU.
however, sum of the stuff i post could be a little bit inappropriate for younger users! i would advise 15+ but absolutely no younger than 14, pls and ty. not only for the sake of what i may post, but im not comfy having kids on my page. its no promise but just depending on how i feel, sum of my posts might include more mature topics or images containing things like weapons or slight nsfw. if that makes u uncomfy, steer clear of me and ill do the same for u <3
i would appreciate if accounts with heavy nsfw, gore, ed content, etc stay away. also, i do not deal with bs; do not be a creep. im not here to see ur cheeks or have a downward spiral LOL. be a decent person and everything will be all good.
as for what i'll be posting, there's a good chance that a lot of these photos might not be mine (im never in the mood to take pics) so i will do my best to credit people appropriately but please let me know if you want me to take anything down or tweak anything!
last paragraph lol. but i am a student and i do have a life, so there may be times where i maybe don't post as much or go a long time without posting. if that happens, im sorry, but just remember im a person too :) anyways i am looking forward to posting on what i guess i would call more niche platforms. id like to make a yt channel one day and i would also consider making a neocities website if i had time to learn html. not that yt is niche at all but i don't intend to have a lot of subscribers or tell many ppl about it so ig thats what i mean. anywho! thx for reading this far down if you did and i look forward to posting for u soon! luv u! buh-bye <3

So I just had a dream where, essentially, trying to find an artist's art tag for what I bought a sticker of sent me into a strange world where the people there thought they were dogs.
Dream rambling under cut
Like, I was looking for some sticker the artist drew because, in the dream, a friend asked what I'd bought from them so i looked for it because i didnt remember, and suddenly I was in a field and had no clue where I was.
And this short girl with curly hair and her taller best friend with straight hair ended up talking to me and leading me around, asking what kind of dog I was because i didnt look familiar nor like everyone else. The curly haired girl was a chihuahua and the straight haired girl was I think a German shepherd. "Everyone's a dog here!" The chihuahua girl was named Chelsie and the German shepherd girl was named Alana.
They were still very excited, confused, and welcoming to me as they showed me around. They dressed and looked like people but just weren't 100% human looking for some reason. They didn't have like- dog ears or anything, they looked human but like- not- entirely??? I think it was their hands, their hands looked like paws somewhat with fur and claws for nails and darker skin on their palms.
And I'm just wandering around trying to get used to this small town of sorts that they set up in an abandoned amusement park, mainly just walking around, and I meet two other dogs. A tall (compared to me..), muscular man with blonde, messy hair and his unwilling roommate(?) who was an older man with black , graying, cleanly styled hair. I think they were implied to be a golden retriever and a i'll assume a chocolate Labrador given how I remember his hair looking. I think their names were Alex and Ricko.
The blonde man just asks inappropriate questions upon being met, so I ran off to avoid him, and he later sulked and asked his friend why he "can't get bitches like you can" (which is really funny to me-) and the older guy reminisces about when he was younger and was the heartthrob of the town. He was a musician & singer too. He was implied to still have incredible pull but he didn't feel he was as handsome or anything as he once was.
The dream moved on to me with the girls and we're chatting and Chelsie accidentally spilt her friend's snacks on the bed so we were just awkwardly there as Alana began to vacuum them up, the other having left bc she didn't like the noise and me trying to nervously pick out some of the chips(?) that were missed. I remember Alana ended up talking to me about "knowing I don't really seemed to care for them" and how she'd kinda felt I was looking down on them for being dogs after we'd spent the day hanging out & them hunting animals with me tagging along. It was such an awkward moment in the dream, because how do you explain you just haven't figured out how/processed you ended up here to begin with? But we'd talked it out and got on better terms. I went to my new home or sorts after saying goodbye since it was late out.
My home was like- an abandoned apartment that I was given the uh...honor ...ig of fixing up so I could comfortably live there. A gang of dog people ended up hearing about me though and kept trying to break in the next morning while I was away to "see what kind of person I was". They used a literal actual cat to try and sneak them in because they hoped it'd unlock the doors for them or show them another way of how to get in. Cat refused and instead messed with them. Tho I remember I had subtle cat imagery in my room along with things from fandoms i like, which might've indicated I was/was becoming a literal cat person paired with the girl thinking I was looking down on them when I wasn't.
I think the dream ended with me walking back home, not knowing there was a gang of dogs trying to get into my apartment.
So yeah I had a weird dream, just wanted to type it down before I forgot.
Oh also, everything about the world I'd seen looked kinda abandoned. The dogs lived in abandoned houses that clearly had been human houses before, there were broken cars that were rusty and not used for years, grass was overgrowing in places it didn't before, the night was pitch black if not for all the stars and moon lighting the place, the amusement/Waterpark stuff the people I found lived in were all unused and moldy/rusty. They figured out how to make foods I knew of because well- recipes n such they found around. They had farms and such for all of this. Never once saw chocolate or grapes around any food I'd see in the dreams though.

Pinned post stuff
Digital artist with an ever changing art style. You can also find me on IG under the name the.lemonaut (I don't really post there anymore though)
Here I mostly post OC-related art and occasionally Solarpunk art and share some things i find interesting, important, useful, fun or pretty. Not a minor, but this blog is SFW (no sexually explicit stuff). Some disturbing political posts might be shared though.
You're not welcome here if you're pro-russia or israel.
If your account is completely empty or looks like a bot's, I'm blocking you, sorry
Hashtag info:
You can find some Solarpunk art under the #solarpunk tag
For OC stuff, go to #star sailors. THE CHARACTERS AREN'T EXCLUSIVELY MINE, I co-own them with _magic.stardust_
Wanna sift through the posts to specifically find drawings I made? #my art
For drawings with alt text, you can go to #alt text (though my approach is closer to full descriptions). I aim to add them wherever I can, but some old art and complicated doodle pages don't have any, at the moment at least.
You can give me your loose digital change on Buy Me A Coffee 😌🌸
Also, I take commissions!

i came upon an instagram reel of yours abt a week ago (the one abt drawing art for a fandom from 10 years ago) and commented abt how id just finished reading the comic and you responded with the kindest reply that i just keep thinking abt (saying im part of the homestuck fandom family now and stuff!)
im so bad with instagram interactions but i wanted to say thank you for that comment bc it makes me feel so warm inside, ive only been in this fandom a couple months but i love the content so much already! i adore ur art style so much btw
- @jadedharleys
Awwww hi!! ❤️ I remember your comment and I always get super happy when new Homestuck readers somehow find my art. It reminds me how happy I was to find hs artists myself back when I had just finished reading the whole thing 🥹 and I definitely like to think of fandoms as little families especially this one it's very dear to me <3
I actually find it easier to connect with people on IG and I'm probably friendlier there but you're welcome to message me on any platform anytime 🥰
Thank you so much for the sweet ask!! I hope you keep having a nice time in the fandom :)

Happy New Year's!!

Goodbye 2023, welcome 2024!
On Wattpad I usually put writing/drawing resolutions every new year, so I'm going to start doing so here.
These were my resolutions last year
-Being more consistent
I uh... Succeeded? It was, better ig, so-
-Getting better at art, and learning my program more
I'd like to believe I accomplished this, as I very much like my new drawing style
-Finish writing the JSAB's backstory's
I indeed finished them! And pretty early on in the year considering too
-Finish one book
... Moving on-
-Learn to Adult
Uh, well-
Not really lol
So, only 1 was absolutely completed, 2 I like to think so-
Now for this year's resolutions!
-Finish one book (this better happen, since How To Save A Corpse is nearing the end)
-Start LLN Remake
-Finish next... Well, now this year's October challenge, whichever I choose-
-Start/make a comic (I have a few in mind, but I want to get better at poses and anatomy first)
-And finally, reach 50 followers on one of my Tumblr accounts.
Thank you all for a wonderful year, hope 2024 has a lot of good in store!

Welcome to the dark underworld of Gothic & Fetish bar IDEA in Kobe, Japan! Strap yourself in for an evening of drinks and entertainment with Mistress Midori and her corset-bound staff. In this post, I’ll take you inside another favorite hangout for Japanese Satanists: Gothic and Fetish Bar Idea in Kobe (here’s my video about the experience). If you’re keen to explore Japanese Satanism and demonic attractions — and see the latest in cute / Gothic Lolita / Jirai Kei fashion — then this is the Goth travel guide for you! Also, for the new year — here are some new pics featuring my oversized white earmuffs by Skandinavik Fur! Check out this family-run company for all things warm and fuzzy (they also made my infamous hot pink Mongolian sheep coat). Anyone else wish we were entering 1997 again, and not 2025? I’ll just keep on dressing like it was the Y2K era (loving the Korean acubi street style aesthetic recently). My red chunky highlights are by Katya at Kore Salon Vancouver. This Y2K inspired hairstyle contrasts nicely with the Skandinavik earmuffs. And I somehow managed to find the only cute puffer jacket out there: this one here by Desigual. It’s a cropped metallic purple puffer coat that makes me want to vibe with Mase. Now, let’s descend into a little-known Goth bar in Kobe, which is filled with witchy / Satanic / occult books and oddities! For footage from inside, see my video on @LaCarmina IG. It’s always a good idea to visit IDEA bar… tell Mistress Midori that La Carmina sent you. Location / address: 2-17-8 Nakayamate-dori, Chuo-ku, Kobe, Japan Midori is the cousin of the late Taiki-san (both are pillars of Satanism in Japan – Taiki ran the legendary Satanic Shop Territory Osaka). At Idea, Midori showed me some new books featuring pentagrams and other dark symbology. IDEA is filled with Goth taxidermy and creepy collections, much like Osaka’s Territory. There’s a pentagram sigil and spiky nail bed on the counter, and regular shibari / bondage / domination demos set to industrial gothic music. Ready for a ritual with a demonic baby doll? If you’re intrigued about Satanism in Japan, read my article with Dr. John Skutlin on this subject. Dr. John Skutlin explains: “Midori opened her own “Mystic, Fetish & Gothic Bar” called IDEA [pronounced as the original Greek, which refers to “form” in the Platonic sense]. She really pulled out all the stops with the design of the place as well, with a lot of help from her cousin, Taiki.” Case in point: these pentagram coasters and the long bar filled with sharp nails. (You can remove the glass top and lay your victim onto the spikes!) “Lining the shelves behind the bar are three sets of six bars each—666—and the number of iron bars lining the walls of the restroom number 72—one for each demon of the Ars Goetia grimoire. Demonic tomes and art abound, of course, and the soundtrack is mostly dark electro mixes courtesy of Taiki, who also designed Midori’s unique pentacle sigil for the bar.” In our Idea video here, you can see my friend Mistress Maya and the Idea staff playing with these handcrafted whips! “That’s all looks though—the best part of IDEA is the people. Midori is one of the warmest and kindest people you’d ever hope to meet, and she has a talent for finding interesting young ladies (sometimes men) to work at the bar who are fantastic conversationalists and, of course, knowledgeable about the fetish and occult world. The parties she holds, which fall on the holidays marking the Pagan Wheel of the Year, involve everything from your standard rope tying and dripping candle wax to suspension performances and scarification.” Read more of my conversation with Dr. John Skutlin about Satanism in Japan here, and I hope you’ll get the chance to experience Gothic & Fetish Bar Idea in Kobe. Before our visit, Mistress Maya took me to get a taste of the famous beef. You don’t need to order the branded “Kobe beef” itself in order to have a delectable meal at Miyabi Steak, a laid-back teppenyaki restaurant run by a skilled chef. His perfectly seared chateaubriand wagyu, garlic rice, and vegetables were melt-in-your-mouth magic. If you visit Kobe, I hope you’ll get a chance to dine on the juicy meat at Miyabi Steak. One last stop in Kobe: Vampire Squid, a bar dedicated to The Rocky Horror Picture Show! I spy Tim Curry as Dr. Frank-N-Furter. Vampire Squid is decked out in Rocky Horror memorabilia, and plays the 1975 cult musical-film on repeat. Guests can say hi to the resident creature of the night, Fuku-chan the barn owl! (An owl is “fukuro” in Japanese, hence the name.) Vampire Squid is the dream-space of Saki, who often performs at Idea’s anniversary events. Address / location of the Rocky Horror bar: 3 Chome-11-18 Shimoyamatedori, Chuo Ward, Kobe, Hyogo 650-0011, Japan If you’re a fan of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, then you’ll be mad for this glam Goth bar. Aren’t Kobe and Kyoto a hoot? For video footage of Kyoto’s Seimei pentagram shrine, Satanic Idea bar and other spots featured in my blog, check out my reels on Insta @LaCarmina – thanks for the follow. Here are a few more outfit pics for you — wearing Charli Cohen pants, Dear Cloud Miffy makeup bag, white earmuffs by Skandinavik Fur. These are my first earmuffs ever, and I’m a convert. They do a remarkable job at keeping your head and ears warm. Wearing this cropped puffer by Desigual, a short and padded metallic coat that fits with the acubi / y2k aesthetic. Where will 2025 take us in The Collapse? Only time will tell… but I’ll definitely spend more time in Japan this year. I’ll leave you with some dark Japanese fashion roundups, and suggestions for where to shop for Gothic Lolita Punk clothes in Tokyo, Japan. Japanese Gothic street style has evolved over the years — Gothloli (with frilly dresses, bonnets, etc) used to be more prominent, while now there’s a lot of “jirai kei” (landmine-style, or dark/edgy/naughty meets feminine cute). Kuromi (the devilish Sanrio character) is the perfect poster girl for jirai kei. Here’s a Kuromi clothing collab that perfectly encapsulates the dark girly aesthetic. I’ve written many Goth punk alternative Tokyo shopping guides over the years, but things keep changing — so here’s the latest look at where you can find Japanese Gothic fashion. Studio Alta in Sunshine City Ikebukuro has a basement level filled with Gothic and Sweet Lolita and other subculture street styles. I will forever be drawn to Japan’s spooky meets kawaii styles. Corset lacing, ancient aesthetics, witchy hats… obsessed with the creativity of Japanese underground fashion. Sunshine City mall in Ikebukuro is a great place to explore; it also has a Pikachu Sweets Cafe, Flower Miffy, Kiddyland, Thank You Mart, Hello Kitty store and other pop culture attractions. See more photos from Sunshine City in this older blog post. Shibuya 109, the tall department store near Shibuya Scramble crossing, remains one of the best spots to shop for trendy youth styles. Mars, Liz Lisa, Rojita and other larme kei (soft, romantic girly) styles are omnipresent. I like to mix and match: I found a futuristic silver skirt and Gothic / jirai kei heels in Shibuya 109. Onward to Harajuku, the youth culture and avantgarde fashion center of Japan. It’s also home to Sebastian Masuda’s 6%DokiDoki, one of the last bastions of independent fashion in this neighborhood. 6% Doki Doki still delivers on all things kawaii cute meets ghoulish technicolor. Laforet Harajuku is still the #1 destination for Gothic Lolita punk and subculture clothing. If you can only go to one shopping center, make it this one. Although Lolita dresses aren’t as popular as back in the day, you can still find the designer boutiques at Laforet like Alice and the Pirates, Angelic Pretty, and Baby the Stars Shine Bright. However, there are dozens of floors contain all types of edgy styles. See my Laforet Harajuku post for a comprehensive walk-through of the department store, with plenty of photos. Right now at Laforet Harajuku, you’ll find pentagrams, stomper boots, rave, and Y2K aesthetics. There’s a great deal of handmade and funky vintage-coded fashion as well at Laforet. Shinjuku Annex is also a fantastic spot to find kawaii meets alt Goth clothes, accessories, makeup and more. See my Shinjuku Annex blog post for the details (the top floor has Kera Shop, Moi-Meme-Moitie etc). Can’t wait to be back in Tokyo / Japan in 2025… Currently confirming the dates and details, and will keep you informed. Thank you always for being part of my Japan Gothic chronicles.
