probably a long shot but I'm desperate at this point- my account's overdrawn, I can't afford rent this month and now have major car repairs to pay (in the range of $2400-2600, waiting on the shop to confirm a full amount). it's undrivable until they fix the issues like oil leaks and a busted intake manifold, which are causing most of the cost.
recently got a full time job but until I get my car back, I'll be paying about $50 for rides to work and home every day, basically if anyone has even a few dollars to spare it'd really help right now.
can verify my expenses if needed.

I literally can't play off my student loan interest. By the time my loan company processes my payment, they've slapped me with more interest.
I literally can't keep up with the interest.

A GUIDE TO BECOMING DEBT FREE QUICKLY
Paying off a loan can be a long and difficult process, but there are ways to speed up the process and become debt-free faster. Here are some tricks that can help you pay off your loan faster: Make bi-weekly payments: Instead of making monthly payments, try making bi-weekly payments. This way, you end up making one extra payment a year, reducing the interest you pay over time and helping you pay…

financial literacy continued⋆.ೃ࿔*:・👛💵
Tumblr media
so i released a poll if you guys would like a post on financial literacy and the results are here. so im gonna share some things that i learned while taking a financial literacy course…💬🎀
Tumblr media Tumblr media
HOW TO SAVE MONEY ;
automatically deposit a certain percentage of ur income into ur savings account so that u dont even have to think about it
to do something more FUN tho, (at least in my opinion) is to make a challenge where u have to save every $10 dollar bill, or $20 dollar bill or whatever. just something to make saving money seem like a game if u wanna have some fun with it.
EMERGANCY FUND ;
most experts will tell u that ur emergency fund should be 3-6 months of ur needed expenses. so calculate ur needed expenses and multiply that by 6 to figure out how much you'd need to have in ur emergency fund.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
PAYING YOURSELF FIRST ;
you should always put urself first in every single situation including financially. so to pay urself first simply means to put ur future and needs before anything else. FOR EXAMPLE... let's say u wanna buy an ipad by the end of the year, an ipad is $345.
lets also say that u get paid weekly, so you'd divide $345 by the number of weeks in a year (52) you'd get 6.6. so you'd have to save roughly $6-$6.50 a week which isnt a lot at all. and you'd be getting what u want.
INTEREST AND CREDIT ;
interest is like a reward that the bank gives you for trusting them to look after your money. the more money you have in your account, and the longer you keep it there, the more interest you can earn…💬🎀
so the bank calculates interest as a percentage of the total amount in a bank account. so if the bank pays a 1% interest you'll earn $1 for every $100 in ur bank account over the course of a year. so if u have $500 in ur account you'll get $5. its not a lot, but interest builds on itself.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
credit is the ability of the consumer to acquire goods or services prior to payment with the faith that the payment will be made in the future…💬🎀
for example missing payment deadlines can negatively affect ur credit score. why is this important? if u wanna go to college and wanna use student loans, u might not be able to if ur credit history is bad. as ur credit history grows you'll get a credit score. the higher ur score, the better ur credit is.
BUILDING CREDIT ;
get a secured card. a secured credit card is a special type of credit card with a down payment. when you open the card, you will give the credit card company a deposit to hold. it can be as little as $100. the company holds the money for you and gives you a credit card with a line of credit equal to your deposit
Tumblr media Tumblr media
sign up for victoria's secret direct paper mailers. you'll get a coupon each month for 1 free panty for every purchase. when u go to the mall, get urself a panty and a sweet treat 🧁 (DO NOT PUT ANYTHING ON THE CARD THAT U CANT IMMEDIATELY PAY OFF)
and then go home and pay ur credit card bill off, and then dont use it again until the next month.

The Best News of Last Week
1. ‘It was an accident’: the scientists who have turned humid air into renewable power
Greetings, readers! Welcome to our weekly dose of positivity and good vibes. In this edition, I've gathered a collection of uplifting stories that will surely bring a smile to your face. From scientific breakthroughs to environmental initiatives and heartwarming achievements, I've got it all covered.
Tumblr media
In May, a team at the University of Massachusetts Amherst published a paper declaring they had successfully generated a small but continuous electric current from humidity in the air. They’ve come a long way since then. The result is a thin grey disc measuring 4cm across.
One of these devices can generate a relatively modest 1.5 volts and 10 milliamps. However, 20,000 of them stacked, could generate 10 kilowatt hours of energy a day – roughly the consumption of an average UK household. Even more impressive: they plan to have a prototype ready for demonstration in 2024.
2. Empty Office Buildings Are Being Turned Into Vertical Farms
Tumblr media
Empty office buildings are being repurposed into vertical farms, such as Area 2 Farms in Arlington, Virginia. With the decline in office usage due to the Covid-19 pandemic, municipalities are seeking ways to fill vacant spaces.
Vertical farming systems like Silo and AgriPlay's modular growth systems offer efficient and adaptable solutions for converting office buildings into agricultural spaces. These initiatives not only address food insecurity but also provide economic opportunities, green jobs, and fresh produce to local communities, transforming urban centers in the process.
3. Biden-Harris Administration to Provide 804,000 Borrowers with $39 Billion in Automatic Loan Forgiveness as a Result of Fixes to Income Driven Repayment Plans
Tumblr media
The Department of Education in the United States has announced that over 804,000 borrowers will have $39 billion in Federal student loans automatically discharged. This is part of the Biden-Harris Administration's efforts to fix historical failures in the administration of the student loan program and ensure accurate counting of monthly payments towards loan forgiveness.
The Department aims to correct the system and provide borrowers with the forgiveness they deserve, leveling the playing field in higher education. This announcement adds to the Administration's efforts, which have already approved over $116.6 billion in student loan forgiveness for more than 3.4 million borrowers.
4. F.D.A. Approves First U.S. Over-the-Counter Birth Control Pill
Tumblr media
The move could significantly expand access to contraception. The pill is expected to be available in early 2024.
The Food and Drug Administration on Thursday approved a birth control pill to be sold without a prescription for the first time in the United States, a milestone that could significantly expand access to contraception. The medication, called Opill, will become the most effective birth control method available over the counter
5. AIDS can be ended by 2030 with investments in prevention and treatment, UN says
Tumblr media
It is possible to end AIDS by 2030 if countries demonstrate the political will to invest in prevention and treatment and adopt non-discriminatory laws, the United Nations said on Thursday.
In 2022, an estimated 39 million people around the world were living with HIV, according to UNAIDS, the United Nations AIDS program. HIV can progress to AIDS if left untreated.
6. Conjoined twins released from Texas Children’s Hospital after successfully separated in complex surgery
Tumblr media
Conjoined twins are finally going home after the pair was safely separated during a complex surgery at Texas Children’s Hospital in June.
Ella Grace and Eliza Faith Fuller were in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) for over four months after their birth on March 1. A large team of healthcare workers took six hours to complete the surgery on June 14. Seven surgeons, four anesthesiologists, four surgical nurses and two surgical technicians assisted with the procedure.
7. From villains to valued: Canadians show overwhelming support for wolves
Tumblr media
Despite their record in popular culture, according to a recent survey, seven in 10 Canadians say they have a “very positive” view of the iconic predators.
Here's a fascinating video about how wolves changed Yellowstone nat'l park:

Hey! I wanted to ask if you had any ideas on currency for rock and pop trolls. (I think pop trolls would be the type to exchange services on goods while rock trolls have some form of money)
Also sorry you’re going through writers block :(, hope you get through it soon!
Currency is the bane of my existence because trolls apparently must have some sort of currency because Rosiepuff 'plays for the money'. I do enjoy them having a barter system for some things, though their market seems to have reached a level of industrialization in The Beat Goes On/Trollstopia (Having factories and fast fashion) that would likely be a little difficult to manage. One example is Smidge's stoutberry juice business. It pops up and the crowd moves so fast on it that I imagine having to barter for a single glass of juice for every person would be a bit more difficult than bartering for weekly groceries. We don't see her exchanging it for anything in the episode but she does explicitly refer to it as a 'business' that would be jeopardized by competition, so she is gaining something from it.
I also think 'favors' would make things a bit difficult especially during their time at the troll tree. Imagine making a huge deal only for them to get eaten before you can collect.
A friend of mine has them using jellybeans as currency, which I find on brand and hilarious.
Honestly I could see Pop Trolls having 'money' but it works a bit differently. Money is paper based and anyone can make it at any point they wish. On it, rather than numbers or pictures of troll-ified presidents is nice words. Everyone has different takes on it and the more heartfelt the words written on it increases its value. This would mean you couldn't just mass produce it, because it wouldn't be heartfelt and so it wouldn't be worth much.
Since they're personalized, unlike our money you can't take the money you were just given and use it to pay someone else. As you can imagine you'd be buried in 'money' fast so that's what the bank would be for. Holding on to all your lovely money so you could read it any time.
I also imagine that this would be why canon Branch would want to harvest his own supplies so much! He never made his own 'money' and at the time there likely wouldn't have been anyone who would have accepted it because it wouldn't have seemed sincere. After his colors came back I imagine he made some and was a bit worried if it would be worth anything, but every time he used it everyone could tell it was worth a lot because he put a lot of effort into trying it, so most places gave him extras of whatever he was trying to buy.
These would have definitely been popular during their time under Trollstice. A perfect pick me up to sit and read over all the kind notes!
Rock Trolls I could see having a money system closer to ours, as they're a LOT more industrialized than TBGO Pop Trolls and we know they have some sort of 'pay' concept since Barb tells Riff "I don't pay you to hear."
Since Riff replies that he's not being paid, he's doing it for college credits, it would also imply that they don't have a barter system, as doing it for college credits would be virtually the same as receiving a 'favor' so there would be no reason to clarify that.
The only difference is I imagine their economy isn't in shambles. Riff isn't buried in student loans.
Of all the tribes to most likely exchange favors, I could see it being Country.
The intermingling of tribes would probably create the need for a standard currency or exchange rate, as I can imagine Rock Trolls don't want glittery notes as payment. Honestly I could see the Funk Trolls coming up with some sort of conversion system so that among your own tribe you could keep your standard money or go to a Funk bank and swap in so you can visit Symphonyville and not have to do any extra math.
TY for the well wishes and the fun question! I had a lot of fun turning this over in my head.

All is Well That Ends Well: Lawrence Gordon x gn! afab! reader: Part I
Allllllll right!! The long awaited sugar daddy lawrence fic is here!! Well, the first part is, but anyway--sugar daddy anon, if you're reading this, thank you so much for planting the seeds of an idea in my head. I wrote the entirety of the first section of this fic across four days and have plenty more to write still, but truthfully none of this would've occurred had you not popped an ask into my inbox.
There are six parts for this section and in total, before editing, it amounted to 18k words and 38 pages on MS Word. I can't say exactly how many words the fic will amount to in total, but I can say that, if it goes as I expect, the fic will definitely climb past the 40-50k word mark and might even hit and then climb over 100k words. Updates will be posted weekly on thursdays and typically at or around the same time!
Fic type - this first part is pretty neutral--fluffy-neutral mostly.
Warnings - the reader is passively suicidal (the fic is set in 2002 initally and throwaway jokes of that were common. Plus, I wrote this while in the midst of an exhaustion enduced brain fog and it's just one throwaway line, which Lawrence does react at them for) and there are a few mentions of debt, plus a mention or two of Jiggysaw himself, john kramer (not by name--as the Jigsaw killer)
Tumblr media
You’d always known that you wanted to get a PhD. To you, a doctorate had been the endgame of your education—first, a bachelors and a masters at your university of choice, and then a PhD as the endgame.
The one thing that you’d underestimated—as most high school seniors do—was how much it’d cost you.
For the full four years of your bachelors, what you’d gotten from relatives and the small—$50,000—nest egg given to you by your parents had been completely depleted. Even after the grants and scholarships you’d applied for, you were still $20,000 in debt and that wasn’t even the beginning of it. At the end of things, you took out loans and proceeded with your plan for your masters degree.
You’d gotten your Masters degree when you were 26 and thereafter, after nearly a decade of living at a crappy apartment near the university campus with one of your favorite people in the entirety of the continent, you still went ahead and decided to get yourself a PhD in creative writing. It was a six year program but you’d told yourself it would be worth your while, so you went ahead with it.
All in all, it was a plan to devote fourteen years at minimum to your education, and you’d yet to have any regrets in relation to it because it seemed to be panning out in a way better than you'd expected.
And, anyway, by 2002, you were halfway through your fourth year of the six years you owed to the PhD program and hoping that the degree would take you somewhere useful. It was also your birthday by that point, and you were looking to go to a dive bar, get drunk, meet someone and then do a couple of drunken things you’d both regret the next morning.
You’d decided to celebrate your thirtieth birthday in a dive bar you couldn’t really afford normally, but making the minimum payments on your student loans had allowed you to A, be spiteful because getting an education realistically shouldn’t be expected to toss the average persons bank account into the negatives, and B, have a bit of extra money every paycheck.
You’d also decided to spend the birthday mostly alone—sure, to any extrovert within a twenty mile radius it was a pathetic way to spend the day, but to you it was optimal, especially considering that you’d spent the bigger part of the day with a couple of friends studying as it were—and that seems to have panned out in your favor until a guy sits to your right at the bar counter.
“Are you spending the night alone?” An unfamiliar voice pipes up. You look to the source of it, turning your head to the right and finding a rather attractive man sat next to you. “With that Jigsaw killer on the loose? Not a smart idea.”
He’s handsome—his attractiveness is the first thing you notice. He’s got well groomed blonde hair, full lips, alluring eyes that are the color of the sea after a storm, and a voice that feels to you like whatever goodness can come from walking with combat boots over cobblestoned streets.
He’s well kept, too—he’s wearing a pair of black dress pants, a white button up and a blue tie. His cufflinks radiate wealth, as does his drink of choice. A scotch on the rocks that looks like it’s aged and aged well.
You scoff. “What, are you him? Do you know the guy?” A smirk plays at your lips. “I happen to be in severe debt and lacking a will to keep going, so if you do, I’d appreciate a referral.”
The man to your right scoffs. “You’d fail the test intentionally, and those jokes aren't funny.”
You shrug. “I am more than a hundred thousand dollars in debt in the name of my education. I am apt to think that wanting for death to avoid the loan sharks that call me a few times every month to try to get me to pay more than the minimum required on said debt is not totally unreasonable.”
The man laughs. “I would never go to such lengths, but the grants that you can get from the government for the endurance of traumatic experiences might help you in the debt department,” he says. “However—a Jigsaw trap is not how to get that money. It's a lot more painful than it's worth, and sometimes the reasons he tests his subjects for are kind of cruel, so trust me, it’s not worth it. What education has put you into so much debt?”
“A Bachelors in Fine Arts, a Masters in Fine Arts, and I am currently four years into a six year PhD program. The endgame with that is to get myself a PhD in Creative Writing and move on to either working as a literary critic or in a publishing house.”
“Interesting,” he nods. He extends a hand, and you shake it. “My name is Dr. Lawrence Gordon.”
“Y/N,” you grin at him. “Doctor, you said? What kind of doctor are you?”
“I’m an oncologist,” he says. “Board certified attending oncologist at Angels of Mercy, matter of fact. I give people the bad news, typically. What do you do, outside of schooling?”
“I work for about twelve dollars above minimum wage in a mom and pop style bookstore. I read and drink coffee on my breaks and study for my degree when I’m not with friends or at work, or in a bar to celebrate my thirtieth birthday with a martini that puts me out eight dollars.”
At this, the handsome man whom you’ve learned more about than you’d ordinarily have liked across the span of ten minutes at best puts his card forward and opens a tab, adds your martini to it with a cocky, flirtatious grin.
“You’re confident,” you murmur.
He shrugs. “I was in a loveless marriage for nearly two decades,” he says. “The divorce proceedings started in the middle of September, and my therapist says I need to get out there a bit. Figured keeping someone in the process of getting their PhD from having to pay for a drink was at least a plausible way to start.”
“I’m not looking for anything serious,” you laugh, taking a sip of your martini. “I joked with my best friend—Aurelie Summers—that I’d be fine to be someones sugar baby the other day. Commitment is the last thing on my mind right now.”
“Paying off loans of past, present, and future seems to be,” Lawrence notes. “But—for the record, neither am I. My last serious relationship became loveless and ended in a mostly amicable divorce where I lost custody of my kid. You’re attractive, absolutely, but I have no interest in anything serious if it’ll end exactly as the last one did.”
“Is that…emotional baggage I sense?” You ask, teasing flirtatiousness making it’s way into your tone.  “If you’d lead with that, I would’ve paid a lot more attention to you initially, Lawrence.”
Lawrence scoffs. “You like those in need of fixing?”
“Not particularly,” you say. “They tend to like me, is all.”
“You draw broken people in, you fix them, and then they get to be better for the next person,” Lawrence nods to himself. “That is what you’re telling me, correct?”
You shrug, toss him a grin and sip your martini mockingly.
“Wish I’d get one of the ones who’d been fixed every once in a bit,” you laugh. It sounds depressing.
“For the record—it’s not emotional baggage. It’s a divorce that I saw coming, the timing is just poor.”
“Did you fail to get a promotion at work and then come home to divorce papers?” You ask, thoroughly amused by the idea.
“The Jigsaw killer trapped me and I was served the papers while I was recovering from a self-amputation, but thank you for the amusing hypothesis,” Lawrence says, a grin turning up the corners of his lips. “This has been a very interesting conversation.”
You grin. “Thank you for finding me interesting. Also for the drink.”
Lawrence nods, gets the bartenders attention and orders you two more before he closes out the tab he’d gotten.
“Whether or not I see you again, happy birthday, Y/N,” he says as he stands. It's at this point that you notice a cane in his hand, the grip he holds on it relaxed but still tight enough to maintain control.
“Whether or not I see you again, thank you,” you nod. “If I do see you again though, I’m gonna want specifics about your job. Seems interesting, and as much as I love the process that it has become to get the fullest extent of my education, I wouldn’t hate going an hour or two every now and again without hearing or thinking of writing or art.”
“And if you know anything about art history or writing, that is what I’m interested in,” Lawrence says, a smirk playing it’s way onto his gorgeous lips. “It’d be nice, getting to leave work and then focus on something that’s not medicinal.”
And then he’s gone.
You watch him walk out, spend the next fifteen minutes drinking the martinis he’d gotten you while rejecting the advances of a guy who is a lot more interested in you than you are him. When you’ve finished up with your drinks you walk home, some very small part of you holding onto the hope that you’ll see Lawrence again before the month is up.

3e: The Love Potion
We’re all kind of on the page that ‘love potions’ in stories are probably bad, right?
Those things that you could buy in 3e as a cheap, disposable magical item?
It’s one of those tropes from history that people used pretty freely up until like, even until 2013. Gravity Falls featured an episode about a character using a love potion, and then realising it was a foolish plan and going to undo it, only to find that, y’know, maybe it was an okay idea after all. And that was Gravity Falls, a cartoon I like. Shock! Horror! And that’s a bad trope and all!
Love potions show up in stories all over the place, and that makes them an iconic trope and I feel like they go through a sort of life cycle. In their oldest appearances — as I remember and are filtered through the mind of a boy like me — the love potion is a solution to a problem. Then, as things get a little more protestant, a little more puritanical, love potions tend to be set up in the first part of the story, and then developed and dismissed in the second part. Love potions are a thing you think will solve your problems, then you find they don’t.
There are a lot of reasons they can fail. They can fail because you find out that the person you love-potioned, you don’t actually want them in love with you. They can fail because you find out that the potion doesn’t make them love you the way that you imagined. They can fail just because love potions aren’t real but now you have to consider what it meant that you tried. They can fail because they have to destroy the way the person you were interested in order to work, somehow. And of course sometimes they can fail because you mess up their application like spilling it on a bird or something.
Lots of different ways that ‘the love potion’ is a setup that gets subverted. In fact, so much so that, especially in reset-heavy pulp media like sitcoms and weekly dramas, love potions fit the mould really conveniently. The subversion means that the characters undo the love potion by the end, and that’s that. It’s a tidy little plot loop, and the form it’s poured into handles it just fine. Makes sense.
Why can ya buy ’em?
Look, 3rd edition was a hungry beast. It needed content, content, content and a lot of what it needed never made sense to me. I did not think I needed as many versions of ‘human, but ugly and weird’ as the game books provided me. I never needed the flying mount rules, or the keep rules. They were nice, ostensibly but they weren’t useful, because they weren’t focused on the game played by players and instead on a sort of systemitising the world. This is a reasonable thing for a system to do when it wants to do it, I’m not criticising them for the choice, but that the choice put the way D&D 3E was built at odds with the way I expected to play it.
You’d see this throughout supplements, in Dragon Magazines and soft cover splatbooks; sometimes there was a cool idea that the game could do and that cool idea ran headlong into the system’s design. A gladiatorial campaign? Cool idea, here are maps and opponents. Oh, the system isn’t designed to make one-on-one fights very interesting for the uninvolved parties and dying represents an immense debt? Hm, sounds like the real thing this system needs is loans and banking. Oh wait, but if you’re doing gladiatorial fighs, how do you get loot from enemies? You can’t loot the bodies, that belongs to their stable! There’s got to be a payment system!
And thus we return to the love potion. The love potion was in the Dungeon Master’s Guide (and SRD, even now!) because it’s an obvious trope, the item works in a simple, easily explained way, and it fills some inches in the book that needs so, so many inches filled. The item is built by a formula, it works to a rule and it kind of rests on a leyline of things D&D 3e doesn’t do very well.
First of all, the item gives a save. Well it has to right, because otherwise it’d be overpowered. But saving throws aren’t like, narratively coherent things. They’re there to defend you from attacks, but ostensibly, they’re there to represent how well your body resists things changing it (which was why you can resist healing spells and, in some cases, are called upon to do so, which is, yes, dumb). Don’t worry, though, the DC is really low: Only a DC 14. Which means an ordinary human with nothing heroic going on has about a 30% chance to ignore it and it lasts for 1d3 hours.
Thus we position the elixir of love perfectly badly. It’s a magic item that an adventurer can buy in bulk, that they never would care about, that represents life-deforming mind control, but not for very long and not very well. It promises what a love potion in a story is, but delivers instead a very crap charm spell, which is the closest thing it can approximate to love because the game system wants to try and systemitise love without dealing with how incredibly overpowered love is. There’s no category of ‘minor effect’ or ‘story beat’ for magical items, which need to be built to instead, operate the way adventurers expect adventurers to work.
The Elixir of Love doesn’t actually represent anything particularly heinous. Nothing out of type. It’s a love potion, but because it sucks it’s not that bad, and nobody would use it, except because it sucks, and that it sucks isn’t because of the story needs but because of the way the mechanics of the system handle items. It’s the same wonky stuff that permeates 3e. Systems aren’t immune to this. My favourite system isn’t immune to this kind of thing!
Still pretty funny way to waste a year’s wages for a normal person.
Check it out on PRESS.exe to see it with images and links!

Post-secondary students in British Columbia who require loans and other services while in school will soon have access to more support, according to the province.
On Tuesday, the B.C. government announced that interest-free student loan maximums will double starting in August. Students without dependents will be eligible for up to $220 per week, while those who have dependents will qualify for up to $280 weekly.
This is the first increase in loan maximums since 2006, the province says.
Meanwhile, loan repayment will be a little easier, too: graduates earning less than $40,000 a year won't have to make payments while looking for jobs in their fields.

bit of a vent
bank won't lend me the money to buy a car because my income is too low
if i increase my income by enough to cover a car loan i'm liable to lose out on some of my benefit, because most places i can get money pay out monthly, not weekly, and the benefit only cares about weekly (to be specific, if i somehow magically started making >$160 a month on twitch, i'd lose some of my benefit on the week i got paid, despite that working out to less than the cap weekly)
So my options are:
try to get a car with higher maintenance costs and a lower initial cost, through a different loan situation
keep not having a car, and endure the lack of agency that comes with
somehow try to increase my income to a point where losing some of my benefit won't bite me, without getting a normal job (because that's not an option)
Use my mum's car by driving her to school in the morning and picking her up in the evening (a bit cute but i'd have to wake up very early, and it's no good if i want or need to go away longer than a day)
my parents have also said maybe they'd buy the car and I could pay them back, but again that'd be a cheaper car than I want, most likely (ideally i want something that'll last a long time and is economical because i'm not expecting my disability situation to improve and I don't want to be managing constant car problems)
yknow?
and the thing that really fucking gets my goat is. I have the income to make the payments the bank is just being cautious which i guess fair. but I'm very polite and they should let me get away with it.

What is a merchant cash advance?
A merchant cash advance (MCA) is a form of financing typically used by small businesses that need access to capital.
GO TO - https://www.fiverr.com/leads_seo_web
OR
Tumblr media
It is not a loan in the traditional sense but rather an advance based on the future revenue or credit card sales of the business. Here’s how it generally works:
Advance Amount: A business receives a lump sum upfront from a merchant cash advance provider.
Repayment Method: Instead of fixed payments, the repayment is made through a percentage of daily or weekly credit card sales. This percentage is agreed upon in the advance terms and is called the holdback or retrieval rate. The actual amount paid back each day or week fluctuates with the business's sales volume.
Cost of Advance: The cost of the money provided is typically calculated using a factor rate rather than a traditional interest rate. Factor rates usually range from 1.1 to 1.5 times the advance amount. This means if a business receives an advance of $10,000 with a factor rate of 1.3, it will need to repay $13,000.
No Collateral: MCAs usually do not require collateral but rely on the business's existing cash flows as evidenced by past credit card sales.
Speed: One of the advantages of a merchant cash advance is the speed with which businesses can gain access to the capital. The process can be much quicker than that of a traditional bank loan, often within a few days.
Eligibility: The eligibility for an MCA primarily depends on the volume of a business’s credit card transactions rather than the credit score of the business or the owner, making it accessible to those who might not qualify for traditional loans.
Merchant cash advances can be a valuable source of financing for businesses that need quick access to cash and have a high volume of credit card sales. However, they can also be more expensive than traditional loans due to higher factor rates and can lead to a cycle of debt if not managed properly. It's important for businesses to consider all options and understand the terms fully before entering into a merchant cash advance agreement.

the plan for the rest of the day is to do everything I know to make myself feel better and then work really hard as soon as I feel okay
if I don't end up feeling okay then I'll do the bare minimum (discussion forum post, Hebrew homework) but if I feel much better then maybe I'll do more than that (1/4 short essays I meant to turn in weekly as of three weeks ago but haven't started yet)
Tuesday night I had a really horrible migraine episode. Wednesday I skipped class and sat in bed all day trying to feel better and also made a student loan payment. Today I've done one homework assignment.
I'm going to eat something, brush my hair, empty the dishwasher, and drink some oolong tea and see how I feel after that.
