i wanna live on my own again …. i’m so ready to put my books on a shelf and my clothes in a closet
#absolutely adore my parents but i’m just excited to Have My Own Place again. where i can unpack all my shit & decorate & stay for a year#and be back downtown tbh. the suburbs are very quiet & it’s peaceful but i feel so lonely out here#i’m gonna have to wait til october for prices to drop a bit but i’m determined to make it work#i got a dope job as a neurofeedback technician but it’s only 9-15h/week ($22cad/h) soooo that ain’t gonna cut it#little nervous cuz frankly i dunno if i can handle working more than ~30h/week rn & also. holy fuck it’s hard finding decent part-time jobs#although! last night my old manager asked if i’d consider coming back to the restaurant to host/do cash on a casual basis/for the holidays#which means i’m probably going to end up balancing 3 jobs again. which is kinda fucked up lol but it’s good money so i can’t turn it down#anyways i’m getting ahead of myself#i do feel like i’m genuinely looking forward to things for the first time in a while though#like grad school next year & tattoos this fall & hopefully making friends w new coworkers n shit. even if it’s unbelievably stressful 👍#pegasus speaks#hi btw i am alive. i just haven’t really been very interested in tumblr at all lately. which is kinda weird but probably for the best

my entire body is exhausted
survived my first day of student teaching, and i’m sure this’ll sum up every day for the next 3 months
#i have been up since 5:15am and i am drained#but anyway in terms of my day#it was actually pretty decent#i’m in a 4th grade class & during the day i kept trying to remember me as a 9 year old LOL bc most of the kids are 9 or will be soon#i hope that i sleep like a rock#1 day down. just 13 more weeks to go😃😃#i’m not here for the entire semester tho. i leave in mid october & then i go to my other placement which is 2nd grade#tomorrow is thursday tho🫶🏻🫶🏻#thank god#abby’s announcements

I knew she'd make it on here but I didn't realize she'd be my TOP ARTIST#god I was insufferable this summer wasn't I#also taylor swift released midnights a week before the end of october‚ but she's on here. WITH midnights songs#which means either people are lying when they say spotify stops counting at the end of october#or I did a truly astounding amount of listening that week#also my minutes listened is so unimpressive lmao#my brother had a six digit number starting with 9 he had more minutes then 98% of listeners#and his friend STILL beat him out by SEVERAL THOUSAND MINUTES#spotify wrapped

Things have been...hard recently. I've been depressed since I got out of the hospital and it really sapped all my motivation to draw.
Thankfully I have nearly a year's worth of pages queued up right now because I'm a firm believer in getting as ahead as I possibly can on serial comics "in case something happens" (and it did) so I should definitely be back on track long before I run out of updates.
(If there's one lesson I want to convey here it's that have a massive buffer of finished pages is never a bad idea)
#i kind of stalled out in the middle of drawing chapter 11#9 & 10 are in various stages of final edits but that goes rather quickly so I haven't made it a priority#this is the first time since I started this story last October that I haven't been working on some part of it#I've started plotting out the missing pieces of 12 this week so i suppose that's an improvement

oh i can answer this! twin towers happened when i was in like preschool/kindergarten, and they didn't tell us anything because a couple parents didn't want the school to discuss it, my parents never explained it because they thought the school would
I first learned of 9/11 from south park in middle school, and even then didn't get it
then in high school i admitted to my social studies/sociology teacher that yea i didn't know about it, and then he asked the rest of the class and the majority knew nothing
a week or two later entire school had a 9/11 week were every relevant class talked about and explained what 9/11 was, and i have a suspicion it was because of me

I started this project back in January and for most of a year, every week, I came up with the highlights of what the Biden-Harris Administration did. I did it because it felt to me our media and national conversion was broken, our government was doing huge things that it felt like almost no one knew about. It's amazing how often I struggled to find a single news source that wanted to cover a huge life changing project.
