i have been offered a full time job that i’m going to take which means NEW BACKPACK TIME, but the ones i’ve had bookmarked (like RAINS mini) don’t have the fun colors i want anymore, and i am devastated

I think I was right to make my bg3 tav a druid cause every year a new animal decides to plague my life and not leave me alone. Last year it was mice. In 2019 it was hawks. This year it's wasps

#literally every year theres one animak in particular i notice hanging around me so much and also WAY too closely #like 2019 The Year of Hawks i had hawks swoop my head no less than 5 times #and then it just. stopped happening in 2020 #and not bc of quarantine! i still lived rurally and was outside a lot #but this year theres SOOOOO MANY WASPS!!!#bring the mice back i DONT like the wasps #ive had to vacuum 6 this week alone and now theres a hornet in the fireplace behind glass thankfully #and they dont leave me alone outside 😭#anyways end of wasp rant

my family just asked if i dare to come watch doctor who downstairs tonight bc the covid infectious period is over and on the one hand i dont believe for a second that that is true but on the other hand i do like that three special episodes have enthused them enough that theyre now asking for a doccy whomst ep tonight that, regrettably, doesnt exist

Got hit with the realization today that some of the kids I’ve been teaching this summer were born in 2020 and I just had to sit there and think about that for a minute

#like yeah logically a four year old being born in 2020 makes sense #but emotionally #I don’t like that #also camp counselors are stronger than any us soldier #like I only have to deal with these kids in fifteen minute increments like 3-5 times a week and that’s a lot for me #all day all summer is a lot #at least next week is the last week of zoo camp #the counselors looked so tired during the class today I felt kind of bad #j rambles

My November 5th experience was being completely unplugged from basically all social media - I was tracking the election through AP News - and not watching Supernatural live because I had it slated to binge over Christmas break. I was diligently avoiding spoilers. None of my friends were spn fans. No one I knew would have had that episode on.

And yet.

I still heard the barest of whispers. Half caught glimpses of recommended entertainment headlines. Did... Did Destiel go canon in S15??? No. It's just clickbait. They would never. I am not falling for a bunch of shippers overhyping another plausibly deniable bro bonding quote no matter how much soft romantic lighting the crew slipped into it. Yeah, the Destiel queerbaiting, we've all seen it. It's not special anymore.

And then a concentrated blast of ALL those emotions + the next month of reactions + the goddamn finale fucking steamrolled me in early December 😃😃😃

every time i remember that 17 was actually unironically the last amazing year of my life i cry bc it feels so fucking stupid bc of how cliche it is but like when i tell you the songs didnt/dont lie it's not even that necessarily my xps are reflected in the songs but it's just i get why everyone sings about is so much yeah god im fucking crying
