Basset Hound (2005) facts below the cut

The Basset Hound (2005) was released May 2005. It was retired May 2007. It has a Lil' Kinz that was released January 4, 2006 and is not retired. It's pet specific item is a Detective Desk and pet specific food is Kibble Kabob (pictured below).

The Basset Hound (2005) description read:

"Known for their strong sense of smell, this hound is sure to sniff out all the love you have to give it. This little doggie loves to nibble on kibble – Kibble Kabobs that is. As hounds go, this Basset is the best!"

There is one Basset Hound NPC: Sam McWoof (pictured below).

The Basset Hound was temporarily unretired in 2010 only to retire once again

Definitely played at one point. maybe would have eventually lost interest but I think baby Jane would have loved it. Probably completed every quizzy's question and spends a lot of time trying to solve the mystery recipes. Her favorite little guy was probably a Basset Hound (below) and she LOVES it's pet-specific-item so so much.

Probably wouldn't have been super interested but if swayed by a friend he could've probably played at one point. I think he had an original leopard (below) definitely. He would've genuinely loved the adventure park had he been around to see it come out. Makes really shitty Webkinz studio movies completely earnestly.

Roxy Lalonde

Genuinely and completely loves this game. Acquired all her pets through dubious manners that are also unpunishable because the servers don't technically even still exist. Loves PJ Collie on a personal level. Super arcade gamer with really scary scores on the worst and hardest games. She's somehow good at Pumpkin Patch Protector. Her favorite pet is a pom pom kitty (below) for certain.

Dirk Strider

I won't hear that he wouldn't. Shit gets boring when you live alone in the middle of the ocean so you crawl the Internet and play baby games for fun. He's not even remotely afraid to have childish interests when he can frame them as funny. (which I don't think he does on purpose but that's for another time) He makes really shitty Webkinz studio movies but ironically this time. He's good at skater Kat which is scary. Would love the night mare (below) literally it is the most Dirkish animal ever.

Shane considers Black Sabbath a classic. He feels that a tuxedo for a formal dinner and dancing is classic. Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny are classics to him. He'll happily play either one. He also thinks that a 1971 Nova is a classic.

Something about pets with spots just looks nasty. The signature German shorthaired pointer has a cute plush, but please, keep those in-game spots away from me. Also earth fawn looks like leafeon. Here's a cute image of the dog plush as compensation to whoever this take pisses off.

Hot take: I think ugly faced, stringy fur webkinz are underrated. Webkinz like Ravioli here (webkinz basset hound) get overlooked in favor of cooler webkinz like the puppys/pups, the cheeky pets, the seasonal pets, and literally any of the signatures. But they're just as adorable as all other webkinz. Shout out to babes: the pig, the hippo, the saint brenard, the pink and white dog, the monkey, the chicken, the elephant, the tiger, and all the other ugly stringy furred webkinz that get ignored. I got your back besties. I love you <3

Today’s #Daisies and Daffodolls prompt is all about cute, baby animals! Well…cute, at least, as most of my girls’ pets are far too old (IRL and/or in story) to be considered ‘babies’ anymore, but they’re still the girl’s babies, at least!

Holly: Horatio (a kitten in their story, but seen here in his full-grown size, I guess? One of the few Webkinz I kept.)

Alex: Ginger (Her family’s old, old cat. Actually the second-oldest toy I own, a Beanie Baby that has to be close to 25 years old, by this point…)

Maddie: Licorice (Her big, black dog of unspecified breed in story; IRL my beloved black lab from Build-A-Bear, himself pushing close to 20 years old…)

Kit: Grace (the two newest to me, but Grace is no puppy in the story. Still, she’s a cutie, and when I found a second-hand Kit that came with Grace, I leapt at the chance!)
