It’s extremely weird seeing the names I came up with for this trio of weasels from Resurrection of Doom suddenly going around the Toon Patrol fandom about fifteen years later and no one seems to know where the names came from

Okay I NEED TO RAMBLE because I genuinely love how Fang's portrayed here

He wants to get money for whatever reason and it's shown that he's fighting the gang over the emerald, not just cause

He heavily relies on his bike as he has nothing else to fight, he has no superpowers unlike everyone else

So he loses control the moment it's sabotaged and he can't respond to that

As his only chance of fighting is taken away from him, he immediately loses the fight

And then this happens

He's afraid, he's genuinely afraid and the animators were not afraid to show the heroes as the bad guys in this situation.

He can't do anything, he's much weaker than any of them without anything to use, no way to escape, nothing. His only crutch has been taken away and he's about to be destroyed.

And it was a nightmare.

This was all in his head, but it showed his true colors.

He's powerless, he's trying to achieve a goal of getting money, probably to have a better life, but just can't. He tries to be confident, but he's genuinely afraid, afraid to lose the devices that he relies so much on, afraid of being powerless, losing control

Afraid of the heroes

He genuinely thinks they're gonna hurt him, he expects it.

No wonder he sticks with Eggman in the story, he thinks he can achieve his dreams through this alliance and sees Eggman as an equal because they have things in common. Unfortunately, Eggman will abandon him the moment he has any reason to do so.

Thank you for coming to my ted talk, I'm just really happy that a lot of my headcanons aligned with this. I really hope he gets a happy ending.

Surprised Team Rocket hasn't blasted off yet, there must have been 100% comedic mishaps that happened to get them this far, like in the first round Carnivin latched onto James and woberfet coming out of no were in the second round to use mirror coat on a canon ball blast from Risky boots, but Besides that they been doing pretty well dispite the target not being pikachu, but now the greatest challange of all can they pull off the British Museam hiest?

Weirdly enough, them winning against against Risky and The British Museum would fit their „to protect the world from devastation“ motto incredibly well.

hey block people fans, so I really love the Tanuki Joel/Smallishbeans fanart goin around as inspired by @mellozheist's design and it made me think, what youkai (Japanese folklore monsters) would we portray the other Hermitcraft/Life Series members as? Some of the more obvious and fun ideas I thought of:

Scar - Kitsune, easy. Charismatic, cunning wiles, enterprising, known for tricking people, tendency to be wet cat on the rare instance you find his weakness. Also kitsune are rivals to tanuki (although Scar and Joel aren't really rivals so much as occasional partners in crime). You could alternatively choose the bakeneko because it's also a wiley shapeshifter and cat connection (RIP Jellie).

Grian - Tengu, also easy choice. Not just for the obvious pesky bird connection. Tengu are also trickster beings. They are sometimes evil (abducting humans) but sometimes benign and teach humans secret arts. They are excellent fighters and leaders, but just like a regular crow, they can just as easily goof off for no reason at all. Dangerously capable but also goofy bird fits Grian to a T.

Mumbo - Kappa, maybe? He's not associated with water much iirc but the kappa from not iRL folklore but a certain series are associated with engineering, and I needed an appropriate one for the Redstoners lol

Etho - Kamaitachi. Weasel with sharp blades. Like a tanuki (Joel), but consistently sneaky, while also being just a little guy. Can probably team up with Skizzle and Tango for the traditional trio of sneaky people with sharp blades. EDIT: I know there's fanart of him as a kitsune to match Tanuki Joel, and I'm by no means contesting that, this is just a fun alternative.

Cleo - Yamauba/Yamanba. I'M NOT CALLING CLEO AN OLD HAG, LET ME EXPLAIN. DANGEROUSLY FIERCE AND INTELLIGENT WITCH WHO LIVES IN THE MOUNTAINS AND IS JUST AS PROTECTIVE OF HER (potentially foster) CHILDREN AS MUCH AS SHE IS A TERROR TO THOSE WHO CROSS HER.

Bdubs/Skizzleman - Oni. They beeg. They angery. They not necessarily dumb but they stronk and one of them has lived in the mountains at least once. I can even see Bdubs being like a Sakata Kintoki spoof (the "son" of a yamanba a.k.a Cleo)

Jimmy - Yosuzume. Birds of bad luck. Canary curse. Need I explain more?

feel free to give alternative suggestions or ideas for the others, or ask me what youkai I think might fit certain traits, I may not know much about the block people but I know a little too much about Japanese folklore so this is just a fun exercise for me

I'll be honest, I was a bit afraid of Fang being in a game again as I always write him as a protagonist and have been for years.

But seeing him being a cute goof that actually achieves things and isn't evil made me happy. Really hope he ditches Eggman and works with the gang like he did in the anniversary comic, he's the best boy and deserves a happy ending.

There’s something different about Potter.

Draco heard the other boy had spent the summer before seventh year at some sort of student duelling program in Russia. Maybe he was hit with a lingering giddiness spell. Or he hit his head and is even more of an idiot than before.

Stupid Potter, with his stupid smiles.

The other boy is often writing letters or in the owlery, and the amount of owlpost he receives is far greater than in previous years. Weasley and Granger keep giving him looks when he gets a letter or a package, too. Maybe Potter made a new friend and the golden trio’s about to fall apart.

(Draco keeps his fingers crossed for that option.)

The first morning that’s chilly enough to necessitate a muffler, it all becomes clear. 

Draco spots Potter, Granger, and the Weasel in the courtyard during a free period. “Oi, Potter – what’s with the scarf? Gryffindor doesn’t want you any more?”

Instead of the expected red and gold, the muffler wrapped around Potter’s stupid head is navy with black trim.

Weasley, predictably, turns a startling shade of red; Potter and Granger roll their eyes at him.

“Wow, Malfoy, top-notch insult. Slytherin’s best never ceases to impress,” Potter deadpans.

“That’s one way to say you know nothing about the colours of other magical schools,” Granger snipes. “How expectedly Anglocentric of you.”

“Harry’s boyfriend is–”

What. “Boyfriend?”

“Ron…” Potter sighs, and oh, he is blushing.

Draco sneers. “Oh, a boyfriend at Koldovstoretz, eh? I’ve heard that one before.”

“What’s that supposed to mean?” Weasley growls.

“How pathetic, making up a fake boyfriend.”

“Why would I make up a boyfriend?” Potter says incredulously. “I don’t care whether other people know about Vee or not.”

“Just ignore him, boys,” Granger says, and the three do just that, to Draco’s indignation.

Pshah, like anyone would be interested in dating Potter.

…And what kind of a name is ‘Vee,’ anyway?

But, as becomes obvious in early November, someone actually is interested in dating Potter. Or the scruffy git is so desperate to prove his boyfriend is real that he has someone pretend to send him a Howler love letter. Either way, it’s downright embarrassing to hear across the Great Hall - almost enough to put him off his breakfast.

Potter opens the red parchment cautiously, but relaxes as soon as he hears the voice it contains.

“Hello, darling,” the Howler says in a smooth, cultured voice, with the barest hint of an accent. Draco swears it sounds a little familiar. “I wanted to wish you good luck for your first quidditch game of the season. I know you’ll do phenomenally. One day, I’ll be in the stands, but for now know I am there in spirit, zolotse.”

Several other students swoon and start tittering to each other over the romantic cheesy message. Really, how sweet crass to send that schlock as a Howler, forcing everyone to hear it.

Stupid Potter and his stupid Russian boyfriend.

He was planning to cheer for Ravenclaw in today’s match anyway, but now he really hopes they crush Potter and his merry band of Gryffindorks.

(They do not. Draco is irritated for the rest of the weekend.)

The Hogwarts Express is nearly empty of students excited to be home for Yule, and Draco is doing a final check of the carriages when he sees it. He rushes outside to make sure it wasn’t an illusion some brat placed on the window, but no. That’s Tom Riddle, five-time IMC schools' duelling champion and Koldovstoretz’s wunderkind. And he’s embracing Potter.

Draco must make some sound, because Potter is suddenly facing him with his wand out.

“Malfoy, what the hell?”

“That’s– You–” he gapes. “Tom Riddle is your boyfriend?? He’s not Russian at all!”

“Who is this?” Riddle says, frowning at Draco, before turning the frown on Potter. “You haven’t told your friends we’re dating?”

Potter wrinkles his nose. “That’s not my friend, that’s Draco Malfoy.”

Rude.

Understanding dawns in Riddle’s eyes and the frown dissipates.

Doubly rude.

“And everyone knows we’re dating. You sent a Howler to me at breakfast - the whole school heard it." Riddle looks so damn smug about that. "And people keep telling me to stop talking about it because of how ‘disgustingly soppy I am over you’ – their words.”

Riddle gives him a warm look. “Zaichik…”

“Your boyfriend’s name is ‘Vee!’” Draco insists. “How would anyone know that meant Tom freaking Riddle??”

“Because that’s what I call him? That’s what he likes to be called?” Potter says slowly, staring at Draco like he's grown an extra head. “I wasn’t aware all of Hogwarts needed to know his full name.”

He throws his arms up. “Unbelievable. How do you function on a day-to-day basis,” he mutters as he walks over to his mother, whose presence helps settle his vexed nerves. 

His only consolation is that he won’t have to see or hear about Potter for the next few weeks.

“Good morning, solnyshko. I’ve just gotten back to St. Petersburg and thought I’d drop you a line to wish you a good start to the term. I’m already counting the days until I see you again. 

“Yours, Tom Marvolo Riddle.”

“What?” someone squawks. 

Several different voices shout, “Tom Riddle?!” 

The sound of Potter’s embarrassed groan carries over the din. “Vee…”

Draco sits back and enjoys the chaos. At least one of those two love-struck idiots understands how these things work.

All this time I thought they were in penders prison but it doesn't look like it!

So like, do they belong to jeff axer? Because they're the ones who designed them according to the wiki.

So like this is a very least possibility but these three actually may have a chance to ever have a reappearance even if it's a cameo, unlike Nic who is in fact in penders prison.

I swear they retconned the whole ‘strongest team on earth’.. but oh well I guess you did need a buffer to introduce new characters and weed out the weaker ones without bloating so eh

Fudou my fuckass cat (now weasel) forever on bench until his time is up lmao. Midfielder? More like benchwarmer. I’m kinda sad that Sakuma didn’t get chosen for inajapan but it kind of makes sense since he’s only really good with trio shoots from what I’ve seen so far, and there’s no trio in the team as of now. But also if he did join I’d be kinda concerned considering all the Fudou. Yeah Kidou is concerned since Fudou and Kageyama have a connection but this guy got Sakuma hospitalized again. The chance of Sakuma jumping the mohawk donning weasel at night isn’t zero. But I’ll still hold out hope that someone drops out and the position opens up.

Midorikawa is a mood unfortunately. I love how Hiroto is trying to cheer him on and support him but I’d say the environment just doesn’t work with him,, he’s too concerned with improving that even with a new hissatsu he immediately sets himself back. : ( But I still love him, my son.

Toramaru and Tobitaka are cute in their own rights, really liking them so far too

Kudou however! Not a fan of atm. In Inazuma coach fashion he sucks at communication, and it’s harder to read him in comparison to Hitomiko.

Lastly! I saw! Aphrodi! In the opening! (??) Alongside burn and gazel? Are they not Japanese since dual citizenship isn't allowed? Its either that or they're Brazillian but more likely, Zainichi Korean. If its the latter then oh?? omg?? Its surprising that they'd even try that ngl considering everything but thats so interesting if so !
