i feel like im losing my mind. only a few days ago everyone was freaking out over the false claims about decapitated babies and the reckless reporting surrounding them but then turned around and immediately ran with all the initial reports about the hospital blast. mainstream media everywhere called it an "israeli airstrike" and quoted an "official" death toll that came out minutes after the explosion – sometimes verbatim – and now most news outlets are either quietly amending their stories OR running entirely new ones while deleting older articles and pretending nothing ever happened. pouring gasoline on a fire with dogshit journalism and then going "oops haha anyway" should spark public outrage but rather than being upset about careless reporting and misinformation people are managing to twist the development of this story into something along the lines of "the zionist media are gaslighting us" :| like. are you kidding me? this is a WAR. stop doing their job for them

as sad and disappointing as this is, look me in the eyes and tell me that this isnt the absolute funniest shit youve ever seen. like, they changed their bio to ONE vaguely implicative sentence and posted some promo statement about where you can find it on streaming services, and this little shitty cockroach fandom (affectionate) absolutely BLOWS THE FUCK UP. like, within the span of 2-3 days, we completely took over tumblr so that this 15-year-old fandom was trending, their twitter account gained roughly 6k followers, and everyone is theorizing about a season six a reboot a spin-off a red white and royal blue crossover every thing under the SUN and it literally gets so bad that the poor intern (thats probably gotten two hours of sleep this week and is running solely on celsius and coffee) and the two-person marketing team that managed this whole thing had to scramble to clarify that WE'RE NOT ACTUALLY DOING ANYTHING WE'RE JUST ADVERTISING THE SHOW AGAIN

Red Robin Au where after Battle for the Cowl, Jason (instead of donning that ridiculous pill helmet) goes back to visit Talia and blow off some steam with the LOA; it's an effective way to do so at first, as long as he keeps Ra's at arms length and has all the Bats away from him. Except is that Timothy fucking Drake working with Ra's al Ghul.

So now Jason's like oh my god are you kidding me why is Tim here working with Ra's of all people??? Last he checked, Dick was Batman now and Tim was part of that gaggle of Robins in Gotham. Not here, in Nanda Parbat.

Hey, I just realized that we're all probably actively contributing to Green's potential Influencer Crisis.

Alan and his team made a real channel for Green.

We found it. We've flocked to it. We've left comments of adoration, enticed by the idea of interacting with Green himself.

This was all probably intentional. This was all probably planned.

This was all audience participation.

Because we are all contributing to Green's influencer arc. We are provoking it. We are pushing him more and more towards the allure of popularity, to the delicious thrill of attention.

WE are the pitfall that so many people fall victim to when trying to be modern content creators.

Alan and his team have made us Green's REAL audience.

And it will hurt us all the more, when we eventually see what our actions have wrought. Because we've actually played a part in the story. It will be the consequences of our actions we see play out.

Or, at least, I can only hope that's the direction this goes. Tackling such a delicate topic as infliencer egoism and fame addiction is difficult, but this is a prime opportunity for Alan to send a message to us, the audience, the ones ultimately responsible for instigating and encouraging such toxic behaviors in modern influencers, and remind us that our actions and our attention and our greed to consume has real consequences on the person on the other side of the account.

A phenomena that Alan himself is likely very familiar with, as an animator who has to deal with 28.6 million subscribers constantly thirsty for more content.

I want it to be that deep. I want it so bad. It would be such an amazing thing to do.
