I feel like in each PD break there's been a point where prime defenders fans have waited to the point that people start saying fuck it it's time to do our own thing and go wild. Last hiatus there was transfemme ashe becoming so widespread that people thought it was canon and pencilfrog. This hiatus it's people coming full circle on ghostknife from "they NEED to get together" to "actually aroace vyncent so real let's see how this plays out". BOTH times involved sudden boosts in tidalwave popularity.

All I'm saying is the longer they draw out the hiatus the more unhinged and digging into the cracks of the podcast to get everything we can out of it we'll get. I cannot wait to see what else comes out of this period of time. (coping I miss them so much)

Fic where through Rocket Corp Shenanigans and/or Orange Power Craziness, the Color Gang, TCO and Victim all get spat out into the human world, where Alan then has to reveal to his wife that surprise! Living stick figures are real, he's made living stick figures, two of them don't like him, and one of those two is actively trying to kill him, while the other five see him as their Dad.

All while trying, and just barely succeeding, in wrangling a very ferally angry Victim who is trying his hardest to inflict great bodily harm onto Alan despite Alan being literally five times his size while the others are panicking trying to figure out how to help. Except for TCO, who is just WAITING for Alan accidentally drop Victim so he can return the favor of the Box beatdown.

And Kaori, who Alan never told that his animations were based on real events and real living stick figures, is just sitting there watching this lunacy like this:

Just riffing off the idea of Blitz thinking the pregnancy test box is Stolas's, head canon that Blitz has absolutely no idea what a cloaca does, biologically speaking, and genuinely believes that Stolas can get pregnant. This leads to a misunderstanding where Blitz thinks Stolas has agreed to actually have a baby with him, while Stolas thinks he's agreed to have some fun with Blitz's apparent breeding kink.

okay honestly im really confused as to how and why ambessa dies

like mel breaks the necklace, ambessa gets sent to the shadow realm where leblanc does ooky spooky shadow magic on her brain and mel steps in and frees ambessa but ambessa dies immediately after being set free.

why did mel send ambessa to leblanc? she says a "wolf has no mercy" did she intend to have leblanc kill her mother? and why does leblanc act like mel is betraying her by interfering? ambessa still ends up dead.

was leblanc like... looking for something in ambessas mind? is that why she didnt just have the chains crush ambessa like she did with elora? mel says "i know your face deceiver" so i assume she knows leblanc was lying about her intentions. but what then? leblanc knows what ambessa "stole" and from who. she knows ambessa is instrumental to the heralds plans and that's why she sends mel to stop her. was there something else? in that case why imply that right before shes about to die? it feels like an afterthought.

like maybe i wasnt paying attention to some key moment where someone says something that makes this scene make sense. but ive watched it and the scene where leblanc tells mel she has to kill her mother over again and i just. cant peice it together. like it was a little jarring and disorienting to watch as mel steps in to save her mother from the black rose only for ambessa to still die.... make it make sense

I really like the idea of the power imbalance that could come from a victim who can't use the respawn machine; especially if everyone else on the base can. The isolation that comes with being a new member of the team that already has years of chemistry, knowing that assassins don't exactly get an HR for interpersonal conflicts on the job site, anyway. You're more vulnerable, socially and physically. If a Pyro decides to light you up, you're permanently dead. Even if you manage to kill someone, they'll just come back a few minutes later.

Maybe Medic or Engineer saying it will only take a week or two until your respawn is available (and "delaying" it more and more, simply because it's funny to watch). Pauling calling you and saying they're not planning to give you respawn until you manage a higher killstreak.

Everyone in the base is a sadist. They probably don't even like you, let alone feel deeper emotions when they all nearly kill you during off hours.

It's probably only after months of constant near misses that one of the members starts to think of just how far they could take your desire to stay alive. Your respawns still not up, so you're not in a position to say no...

OR, for your consideration: someone on the other team realizing you don't have a respawn because there isn't a version of you on their team. Spy is probably the first to pick up on this (maybe Medic is a close second) since keeping a level head and multitasking is his job description. He knows you're vulnerable. And then it just becomes fun to try to single you out every round.

it's basically the same explanation as in the manga, but the anime has made it easier for me to understand what Kabru's beef is with the Touden siblings, and I think that explanation was really well done

I was finishing my listen to the RWRB Audiobook as I was also finishing up my Alex sketch and I thought of something from the movie

I think…there’s an alternate election-winning scene?

Firstly in the election winning speech scene in the movie, Henry/Nick's hair is his wig, not his own, therefore this scene was done in reshoot

Secondly there’s these photos from Alex’s Instagram with him and Ellen, and the captions made it out to look like this was from Ellen’s previous victory, but if you zoom in, you can see that Alex is wearing Henry’s ring

Then there’s the video introducing Alex in the opening, that has the same brick wall background as the above photos, but he has a yellow tie on (can’t tell if those are yellow roses, but it’s definitely not the same one as Henry wore from the previous scene where they were waiting for the election results)

And initially I thought it might be a scene deleted that was part of the campaign after Kensington or something since Ellen’s also wearing something different

But then there was this behind the scene photo where Henry/Nick’s in the same location, which he shouldn’t have been until they were outted, and it’s his natural hair so it was shot in principal photography

BUT then the previous scene with them waiting for election results, Nick has his natural hair! So that part wasn’t re-shoot

So… potentially another deleted scene/alternative scene?
