saving me- s.reid
-------------------------------
-------------------------------
a/n: fem reader, but as always imagine what you like :)
summary: spencer has to save you before it's too late.
pairing: spencer reid x fem bau! reader
warnings: general cm topics, sexual assault, hostage situation, drugging, the team don't know about you and spencer, injuries, reader gets injured, reader is allergic to opioids, drugs, alergic reaction, knives, guns, reader begs to be killed, spencer shoots someone. (i think that's it, tell me if i missed anything :))
-------------------------------
Another migraine. Another fucking migraine.
Your life was truly a joke.
You sat beside Emily in the car, eyes heavy with pain as you profusely rubbed them, the sunlight from the sky beside you far too bright.
“Y/l/n? Any ideas?” Morgan asked, kicking you softly under the table.
“The unsub will probably be extremely interested in the investigation but they probably won’t bring themselves into it. We’ll end up seeking them out,” you rattled off.
“Are you alright?” Prentiss whispered.
“Fine,” you lied. “Just tired eyes.”
-------------------------------
Spencer’s eyes were on you from the second you’d spoken about your ‘tired eyes’. He was meant to be working up a geological profile, but his focus was completely on you. ‘Tired eyes’, you’d been wearing glasses or contacts all week, you’d been drinking enough liquids, you’d been eating, he assumed you’d slept, you'd been busy most of the week and sleeping at your own apartment instead of his.
What could cause ‘tired eyes’?
“Reid!” Seaver all but shouted in his ear.
“Y-yeah? Yes?” He answered, eyes focusing on the map again.
“Is Y/l/n here?” Rossi asked.
“W-what? No. I thought she went with Hotch and Prentiss,” he hesitated.
“She told them she was with us,” Rossi sighed. “So then where is she?”
“I-I don’t know,” Spencer admitted. “I’ll call her.”
Rossi held up your cell phone and Spencer’s stomach dropped.
“Shit,” he cursed.
“Shit is right,” Rossi nodded.
-------------------------------
It had been 24 hours, you were officially a missing person. You had no idea where you were, someone must’ve drugged you. That hadn’t been a regular migraine. Your head thumped with pain as you struggled against the duct tape around your hands and feet.
“You’re one beautiful girl, aren’t you?” You could hear the smirk in his voice, feel the way he was watching you.
You tried to scream but the duct tape around your mouth made it difficult.
“I’m going to enjoy this,” he came closer, into the light. You could see his face. He was a white male, between the ages of 35-40, dad-build, and a sick smirk.
You didn’t fight back, you couldn’t. You didn’t even notice the camera in the corner. You didn’t know that this was being recorded, or live-streamed directly to Penelope. Penelope, who showed it to the team. To your boyfriend.
They were watching the worst moment of your life unfold.
And you had no idea.
-------------------------------
“Guys,” Penelope squeaked. “This j-just came through,” she showed them her laptop and looked away, tears clouding her vision.
“Is that-” Derek started
“Y/n,” Aaron finished for him.
“What about her? Did you find her?” Spencer asked, staring at the group from behind Penelope. “Is she ok?”
The team’s eyes were glued to the screen as Spencer stood there, demanding an answer.
“Guys what?!” he shouted. “Someone answer me!”
“Come here,” Seaver sighed. Spencer stood beside her and watched in horror as the unsub hurt you.
“We have to find her,” he stated. “Now.”
-------------------------------
“Please, please just kill me,” you begged. He’d taken the tape off a while ago. “Please kill me.”
“I’m not a necrophiliac,” he laughed in your face. “I like my girls alive.”
“Fuck you,” you sobbed. Blood, dirt, tears, and sweat coating your skin. “Fuck you!”
“I’m actively trying to fuck you,” he laughed again. You hated him. You hated this. You hated everything.
“Just kill me,” you sobbed. “Please!”
He hit you on the head and you went out again.
-------------------------------
“FBI!” Morgan’s voice rang out through the warehouse. Spencer was hot on his heels, walking ahead of him and ignoring proper protocol. “Reid!” He ran after him.
“FBI! Put the knife down!” Spencer shouted at the unsub holding a knife to your throat. Something had gone wrong. He scanned the room quickly.
“I-I didn’t mean to- I was just-” The unsub stepped away, dropping the knife. “She wasn’t meant to die.”
Die. Dead. You were dead.
Spencer fired his gun without a second thought. He ran over to you and checked your pulse, there but barely.
“Hotch I need an ambulance!” He shouted. “Y/n, baby, I need you to wake up,” he begged. “Please, please, wake up, I need you Y/n. Please.”
“Spencer-” Prentiss started but Spencer silenced her with his own words.
“We’re dating. We have been for a year and a half, don’t you dare tell me to ‘step away’,” he sighed.
The paramedics rushed in, starting you on an IV.
“She’s allergic to opioids,” Spencer rattled off. “She can’t have any opioids.”
“Spencer,” Hotch sighed. “She’s had some already,” Hotch pointed to the vials in the corner of the room and the rusty needle beside them.
Fuck.
-------------------------------
“So when were you planning on telling us?” Derek sighed as they all sat in the waiting room.
“I don’t know, soon-maybe?”
“A year and a half is a long time,” Emily smiled. “Congratulations.”
Spencer nodded.
“Dr. Reid?” The nurse asked. Spencer shot up and out of his seat.
“Yes?”
“Ms. Y/l/n is stable but she is severely hurt. Physically and... mentally. She endured hours of sexual assault and her body and mind reflect that. I suggest someone non-threatening to see her first. Maybe a woman?”
Spencer gulped and nodded. “Emily?”
“Yeah of course,” she nodded, walking behind the nurse as he led her to your room.
-------------------------------
You wanted Spencer. You needed him.
Emily walked in and tears filled your eyes. “Where’s Spencer? Is he ok?”
“He’s fine, they just thought that you’d want someone non-threatening to come in and see you first-” Emily explained.
“Can you go grab Spencer please?” you sniffled. She smiled and nodded, then left the room.
-------------------------------
“Spencer?” Emily called into the hall. “She wants you.”
Spencer had never walked faster in his life.
There you were. Bruises and scratches littering your body and face. Your beautiful face. Your beautiful smile and teary eyes.
“Come here, please,” you whispered. Spencer sat at your side, your hand in his. “Thank you.”
He chuckled sadly. “For what?”
“Saving me. All the time,” you smiled softly.

Pretty Woman Moment
Max Verstappen x wife!Reader
Summary: you have your very own Pretty Woman moment in the glittering shops of Monaco
You take a deep breath of the fresh Monaco air as you walk hand-in-hand with Max down the cobbled streets. He gives your hand a little squeeze and smiles at you. Even after all this time, his smile still makes your heart skip a beat.
You’re both dressed casually — just simple jeans and t-shirts, with caps pulled low over your faces. It’s one of the things you love most about your life here. The two of you can blend in and just be yourselves, without the glare of fame and fortune.
As you pass a small cafe, the smell of freshly brewed coffee wafts out. Your mouth waters.
“I’m dying for an iced coffee,” you say longingly. “Do you mind if we stop for a quick drink?”
Max chuckles. “Of course, schatje. You stay here and keep browsing. I’ll go grab us something.”
He gives you a peck on the cheek before heading into the cafe. You watch him go, your eyes drifting down to admire his cute butt in those jeans. Yup, you’ve definitely still got it bad for him.
Humming to yourself, you continue down the street, peering in shop windows at the latest fashions.
Up ahead you spot the iconic red awnings of Cartier. On a whim, you decide to browse the opulent jewelry shop.
As soon as you enter the store, you can feel the receptionist’s eyes sweep over you, no doubt taking in your casual outfit. Her gaze lingers on your much-loved sneakers. You pretend not to notice as you begin looking at a display of gem-encrusted watches.
Moments later, a saleswoman approaches you. “May I help you find something?” The saleswoman asks in a frosty tone.
You give her a polite smile. “Just looking, thanks.”
The woman’s eyes flick to your sneakers again, and her lips press together in disapproval. Still, she gives a curt nod and stands stiffly nearby like she is waiting for you to leave.
You feel a flare of annoyance at her judgmental attitude, but brush it off. You don’t have anything to prove to her. You know who you are, sneakers and all.
As you admire a display of delicate tennis bracelets, you feel the saleswoman’s eyes on you. She hovers over your shoulder, as if worried you might steal something. You bite back an amused laugh. If only she knew the size of your jewelry collection back home. Max loves spoiling you with extravagant gifts just because.
You wander towards the case of Panthère de Cartier rings, their tiny emerald eyes glinting up at you. As you lean down to admire them, the saleswoman swoops in.
“I’m afraid those particular pieces are off limits to handle without intent to purchase,” she says crisply.
You straighten up slowly. “Of course. My apologies.”
You turn away, irritation prickling. The other salespeople eye you suspiciously too now. Pretentious snobs, you think.
Just then, the glint of your own diamond tennis bracelet catches your eye — the one Max gave you for your anniversary last year. It’s slipped partially down your wrist unnoticed. You nudge it back into place just as the first saleswoman appears at your elbow.
“Excuse me, but I believe you’re attempting to steal that bracelet,” she hisses.
You gape at her. “What? This is mine, I’ve been wearing it since I came in.”
“Likely story,” she snaps. “Jacques, could you please call security?”
A bulky guard steps forward, eyeing you distrustfully. “Let’s just take a look at that bracelet, miss.”
Mortified anger rises in you. “Absolutely not, I don’t need to prove anything to you,” you say heatedly.
The saleswoman’s expression hardens. “If you make a scene, we’ll be forced to restrain you until the police get here.”
Just then, the door opens and Max strides in, caramel-drizzled iced coffee in hand. His eyes instantly take in the situation. He steps forward, eyes blazing.
“What the hell is going on here?” He demands, voice dangerous. You’ve never seen his racing temper directed at you, though you know it lurks beneath his calm demeanor.
“It’s fine, Max, just a misunderstanding-” you start gently.
He silences you with a look, then turns his glare on the cringing salespeople. When he speaks again, his voice is lethally quiet.
“This is my wife, Y/N, and I suggest you treat her with the utmost respect. She is the most important person in my world.” Though his words are soft, they crack sharply like a whip. “Now apologize. Immediately.”
The saleswoman who accused you blanches paper-white. “M-Mr. Verstappen, I’m so sorry, I didn’t realize-”
Max holds up a hand, cutting off her stammering. His sharp features are carved from stone. “Save it. Your behavior was unacceptable. We’ll be taking our business elsewhere and you can be assured that I will be speaking to corporate.”
But the security guard blocks your path. “Just a moment. I still need to verify this bracelet did not come from our store.” He reaches out towards your wrist.
Quick as a flash, Max grabs the man’s arm, halting him. “Don’t touch her,” Max says in a low, dangerous voice. You feel a shiver run down your spine at the ice in his tone.
The security guard tries to yank his arm away, but Max holds firm. “I suggest you let us leave right now, before I call my lawyer.”
He drops the offending arm as the security guard takes several steps back, then takes your hand gently. “Come, schatje. Let’s get you home.”
Once outside, Max halts and turns you gently to face him. His handsome face is creased with concern.
“Are you okay?” He asks, brushing a lock of hair tenderly from your face. “I’m so sorry that happened to you.”
You lean into his touch, letting it soothe away the sting. “I’m okay now that you’re here. But Max … the way she looked at me, treated me like I was garbage just because of what I was wearing …” You trail off, throat tightening.
Max’s jaw tightens, a storm brewing in his beautiful eyes again. “She had no right to talk down to you that way. No one has the right to make assumptions and treat you like anything less than the amazing woman I know you are.”
Despite everything, you feel yourself smile slightly. No one can make you feel better like Max can but furious tremors in his fingers tell you his wrath still simmers below the surface. You squeeze his hand. “I’m okay, really. Don’t let them ruin our day.”
His expression softens as he looks down at you. “Of course. I just can’t stand to see anyone disrespecting you.” He smiles ruefully. “I may have overreacted.”
You laugh. “Just a bit. But it was gallant of you to come to my defense.” You lean up on tiptoes to kiss him sweetly.
Max wraps you in his arms. “I’ll always protect you, Y/N. I love you.”
“And I love you.” You take his hand again. “Come on, let’s go for a walk. I saw the most adorable baby swans in the harbor earlier.”
The tension eases from Max’s shoulders as you stroll together along the glittering marina. You chat and laugh, the unpleasant scene at the jewelry store already forgotten. Because nothing can touch the happiness you’ve found here, in the sun-drenched streets of Monaco, hand-in-hand with the love of your life.
***
The next evening, you and Max stride arm in arm into Cartier, looking every inch the glamorous millionaire couple that you are. You’re dressed in a slinky black gown with diamond earrings while Max cuts a sharp figure in an Armani tuxedo. The salespeople gape as you saunter in, not recognizing you as the girl from yesterday.
You head straight for the saleswoman who accused you of stealing. “Remember me?” You ask breezily.
She flushes, stammering apologies. You silence her with one manicured finger.
“Let’s start fresh, shall we?” You extend a hand. “I’m Y/N.”
“S-Suzanne,” she manages.
“Suzanne, my husband Max and I are looking to make a significant purchase tonight.” You gesture around the lavish store. “You have some beautiful pieces. Why don’t you show us some options?”
“Of course, right this way.” Suzanne leads you to a private viewing room. Hands shaking, she brings out diamond necklaces, tennis bracelets, rings — tens of millions of dollars in jewels laid across velvet.
You and Max pretend to consider each item seriously, before waving it away. “Oh no, that won’t do … this one’s not quite right either …” With each rejection, Suzanne’s smile grows tighter.
Finally you turn to her, feigning disappointment. “Well Suzanne, I’m afraid nothing here has caught my eye. It all seems a bit … subpar.”
She gapes. “S-subpar?”
“Mmhm. I think we’ll try Bulgari next. Their quality is much more superior.” You pause, tapping a finger against your chin thoughtfully.
“You know, now that I’m thinking about it, I realize this just isn’t going to work out between us.” You gesture around the store. “It’s not you, it’s me. I’m sure this is a fine jewelry store for some people with lower standards, but for me ...” You trail off, shaking your head sadly.
Suzanne is white-faced, swallowing hard. “Please, give us another chance. I’m certain we can find something to your satisfaction.”
You pretend to consider it. “Well … I suppose we could take another look.”
For the next hour, Suzanne desperately shows you their most elite pieces, diamond necklaces worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. You and Max have a gleeful time trying them on, admiring yourselves, but ultimately waving each one away.
Finally, after rejecting a spectacular €500,000 art deco diamond choker, you say airily, “You know what, Suzanne? I just don’t think Cartier is right for me. It’s been … educational, but I believe Max and I will be going now.”
As you saunter out, Suzanne calls desperately, “Please come again soon!”
You pause, looking back with a dazzling smile. “I would … but you made a big mistake. Big. Huge.”
And linking your arm through Max’s, you sashay into the balmy Monaco night, leaving the frantic saleswoman behind.

OOOOOOOOO THIS IS SO CUTE😭🤍
if you were needy JJ would finger you in the back or John b would have you cock warm him!!
🎀♡₊˚ 🥞・₊✧
jj in this outfit …. rolling u a joint because you’re all restless and he doesn’t know how he’s gonna keep you calm til the next stop !!!
“jaaaayj we can’t smoke it in here ‘cos what if john b accidentally gets high. he’s driving.” you whinge, kicking your legs out from your sprawled out position. john b lets out a low chuckle from the front, shaking his head.
“contact high is like, totally made up. it’s fine. we’ll crack a window or somethin’. s’all good babydoll.” jj drawls in concentration, focused on sealing the paper.
“but thank you for worrying about me baby. i appreciate that.” john b glances around his shoulder to give you a smile as he drives.
what everyone seems to forget everytime you smoke, is how horny it makes you— so only a little while later, you’re pawing at the blondes arms, chest, crotch, blinking pretty red scleras up at him for attention.
“down girl, you wanna let me finish this j or not?” he hits it a couple more times before stubbing it out and tossing it out the window. “alright, j’ai fini— come to papa.”
in no time you’re whining into his neck, knuckles deep in your soaked cunt. “ohhh, oh-ohhhhhh.” you cry out, the high only enhancing how good his ringed digits felt. his ropey bracelet brushes over your exposed clit and you wince, jerking a little.
“hows my good girl doing back there?” john b calls over the rumble of the road.
“i’d let her answer but i don’t think she can talk right now, dude.” jj grins lazily, lips swollen and red from your kisses. “yeah… you’re feelin’ real good, huh?”
“mhm.” you whimper in response.
“mhm.” jj mimics.
your two boyfriends continue to have casual conversation about the journey whilst you fall apart time and time again beneath jj’s hand. every so often, when you moan particularly loudly or whine petulantly for attention they’ll tune in, jj giving you a little kiss on the temple in acknowledgment, and john b pausing the conversation to chime in with “ohhh, that was a big one baby. was that good?”

[cw: g!p yujin (nobody’s surprised), puppy hybrid!yujin, puppy kink (duh), breeding, masturbation, praise kink, anal, oral fixation, breeding kink]
look at these pics and tell me she isn’t the most puppy idol ever 🤨🤨 i am going back to half of my roots and writing about pup hybrid yuj to get a momentum going 🤩💕 and the other half the roots in question⁉️ look at my pfp. MAYBE WE’LL GET JOCK!YUJ AFTER??? WINK WONK 😍🥰❤️🔥❤️🔥
yujinnie being your helpless whelp of a roommate who turns out to be a pup who has conveniently gone into a rut when you got home ☺️☺️
the moment you entered your shared apartment and didn’t find yujin snacking on some cereal while binge-watching some random show on the tv, you knew something was up! it was rare for her to not be waiting for you when you happened to be away—you have grown close over the years after all, it was only natural for her to be so clingy towards you 🥺 even when you called out to her, she didn’t come running! you figured she must be in the shower, which was a shame considering you had bought her favourite food and intended to share it with her over wine and a 90s romcom movie 😣😣 and you even got matching sweaters for the two of you! no matter tho you were just going to leave that gift on her bed and invite her over to the dining table after she’s finished… until you figured out that she wasn’t in the shower at all 🫣
with her door being haphazardly half-open and yujin herself being so loud that you can hear her from on top of the stairs even though her room was at the end of the hallway… yeah, you didn’t have to guess what the fuck she was doing in there! 🤭 ugh as perverted it was, you couldn’t help but be curious! hell, it wasn’t everyday you see this side of yujin… so why not take advantage of it?! and so you peek through the small crack her door had offered and there your roommate was… grinding on her pillow so desperately with her puppy ears and tail—how cute!
wait a minute… ears and tail? unfortunately you didn’t have much time to process that no, your roommate did not stop by a sex toy shop to buy fake puppy ears and a tail butt plug and that she is an actual puppy bcs yujin could smell your scent from a mile away! 😭 her mind was just so clouded that she couldn’t stop herself before she got caught :(( yujin, looking at you so shocked but all of that was quickly replaced with lust bcs she needed your help‼️‼️ there was no time for explanation nor to feel ashamed or anything of the sort—she needed to breed. breed you, specifically.
and oh! she was so pitiful ☹️☹️ looking at you with teary eyes and the cutest pout ever while she pleads 🥺 “(y/n), p-please…! i need help. j-just this once, i p-promise…” aww… there was no way you could say no to that face! and she was so nice about it too, it was practically impossible to turn away! ugh seeing her tail wag as you approached her melted your heart… but you found yourself rather surprised to see a wet little spot on her short, as well as her rock-hard bulge poking out 🫣 yujinnie being so adorable with her red cheeks as she tries to hide the fact that she was so horny even just a little bit.. but then you climbed onto the bed and sat across from her, all the more ready to give her what she wants and there she sat, so desperate to just have you ride her already but yujinnie knew she had to be patient! bad pups get punished after all!
“let me see it, yuj-ah,” you said as you tugged on the waistband of her shorts, looking at yujin in such a way that had her folding and obeying you immediately 🥺🥺 yujinnie eagerly slipping out of her shorts and underwear, revealing her cock, already so wet with precum you could practically take her without any lube! and it didn’t look like she intended to use any precautions bcs she just pulls on your shirt and purses her lips at you 🥺 “hm?” ofc you’d act all clueless just to tease her 🤭🤭 you ignored yujinnie’s whining and just went ahead and took her cock in your hand,, and suddenly, yujin just opted to sit back and not rush into anything! ☺️
“i knew you were big but fuck… i can barely close my hand around this,” you said as you slowly jerked her off, eyes boring into yujin’s soul while the pup helplessly moans into the air. and is she… yup, she’s drooling‼️ “you must’ve wanted this a long time, huh? poor girl… you should’ve said something! i wouldn’t have taken so long to go home if you just told me you needed to use me…” grabbing her chin and wiping the drool off with your thumb only for you to shove it inside her mouth, and yujinnie eagerly sucked on it!! “you really are like a puppy, huh?” you’d asked all amused while yujin made a mess on your hand.. she really can’t help it! :((
oh she just looked so cute with her little puppy ears that you had to grab her face with both hands and kiss her! as much as yujin loved the way your lips taste, she has to cum inside you before she goes insane‼️‼️ her pulling you to her lap, squeezing your ass and whining as you grinded on her 🫣 what you didn’t expect was yujin laying you down and mounting over you, practically ripping your shorts and panties off 🤭 still though, yujinnie would still have the time to admire your cunt.. licking her lips and getting impossibly harder at the thought of breeding you full of her pups 🫣🫣 but then she gets the genius idea of grabbing your waist and turning you over.. not even giving you a heads up before she inserts her throbbing cock inside you… her moaning so loudly at how good it feels and how your tight hole completely sucked her cock in 😣
ugh god she was so big that it would take a while until she was completely inside you… feeling so full that you can barely comprehend what was happening but yujin helped with that!! her thrusts being so overwhelming—deep and fast—that you had to try and get her under control :(( from what you could see (which wasn’t a lot), yujinnie had completely let her lust take over that she was hurting you in more ways than one 😣 her nails deep enough in your hips to draw blood, her other hand pinning one of your wrists down on the mattress so you could barely move.. grip so tight you thought she was going to break you 😓 “slow.. slow down…! yujin—it hurts…!” and thank goodness she hears your pleas! ofc yujinnie does what you asked of her.. even leaning down to your ear and apologizing 🥺
now it was sweeter! ☺️ her thrusts were just as deep but they were slower.. a lot more gentle bcs ykw yujinnie wants you to feel good too! and she knew she was doing something right when you started meeting her thrusts.. “go on, yujin-ah.. faster.” ah, that’s what she was waiting for! yujin making sure that you feel every inch of her cock, thrusting as deep as she can.. your moans were music to her ears—she has to hear more!
“a-ah… ah! good… good dog,” your praises only encourage yujin to do better 🥺🥺 bcs all puppy girls want to be is be good to their owner 🫣 and aww, you’d find her hugging you and burying her face on the crook of your neck as she fucked you, finding it a bit overwhelming to feel so good… reaching behind and patting the back of her head, letting her know that she’ll be okay and that she’s doing so well! “mmh… y-you gonna cum inside me, puppy? hm?” all you heard for a response was a moan.. cute, but no good 🤭
grabbing a fistful of her hair and tugging on it slightly, making her meet your eyes from the mirror she had across the bed, “words.”
yujin, terrified of messing up, of course nods eagerly. “y-yes! yes.. i’ll—fuck..!—i’ll cum inside you… i will..” that was the plan anyway 🫣💕
“of course you will. good girl.”
firm believer that puppy!yujin doesn’t simmer down so easily 🤭🤭 even when she has filled your hole full of her seed, she wouldn’t get enough! so expect to be spun around again, this time she’s fucking you while facing her… so she can see your pretty face while she abuses your cunt and fills you up again… yujin becoming sensitive everywhere while she’s in this state :(( you’d reach out and touch her tits while she’s above you and she’d whine so loudly :((( she’s so adorable trying to gain control over you but she was so in over her head that she melts every time you do anything, even though she was the one doing the fucking…
ah, and you’d definitely wake up to yujin laying on top of you, somehow sucking on your nipples as she slept peacefully with her puppy ears laying flat on her head so adorably… but she would definitely get hard as soon as she opens her eyes, all the more ready to be a good pup again 💓💓

AITA for dating my son’s arch nemesis?
I (29F) am a single mother living in Kanto. My husband’s been gone for a while and hasn’t returned in several years, and my son (10M) has been gone for quite some time, on his own pokémon journey. As a result, it’s been admittedly a little bit lonely around the house as of late, and given no word from my husband, I’ve been thinking about maybe starting to see someone else.
One day, while I was at work, I came across a woman, who we’ll call J (25F) and her group of friends? Coworkers? You see, J and her, let’s just say group, actually used to work for Team Rocket, and on multiple occasions in the past have terrorized my son and his friends for their pokémon. (I’ve actually met them before on a few occasions.) However, they assured me that their boss had fired them and were now done with the criminal lifestyle. They’re actually really nice once you get to know them! For the past couple of months, they’ve been helping me around the house (they needed a place to stay until they got back on their feet) as well as the restaurant where I work. They’ve even been helping out my neighbor, who’s a professor, with some work around the lab.
But to make a long story short, after really hitting it off, J and I have started seeing each other romantically. However, I’ve neglected to tell my son this while he’s been on his travels, so it came to a bit of a shock for him when he came home. I keep trying to convince him to give J a chance, and that she’s no longer affiliated with Team Rocket anymore, but he’s still convinced that she’s “up to no good”. What should I do? AITA?
this is perfect

Prologue ~ Europe 13th Century
"This way!" A boy laughed as he darted beneath a low-hanging branch. Behind him, a small girl hurried along, lifting her skirt to keep up, her breath catching in short gasps.
"Slow down! Wait for me!" she called, tripping over roots and brambles in her haste. "I can't run as fast as you!"
The boy glanced back, grinning. "Then hurry, will you."
"We ought to be home by now." She replied, frowning.
"We are almost there," he replied, leaping over a fallen branch before turning to face her, eyes gleaming. "We can get home quicker through the woods."
"I don’t like it," she murmured, clutching her skirt tighter. Shadows crept over the path as the sun sank lower, casting an orange glow through the dense branches. "The hour grows late."
The boy shook his head, catching her hand with a reassuring squeeze. "We’ll be fine. It’s only a short way."
Reluctantly, she nodded, holding onto him. "If anything ill should happen, I’ll tell Mother."
He only laughed, tugging her down the narrow path. "If something ill happens, you may not get the chance!"
Their laughter echoed in the stillness as they raced ahead. The trees grew taller, their branches clawing toward the darkening sky, while thick underbrush crowded the trail, rustling with each step. Yet the children, lost in their game, scarcely noticed, laughing and squealing as they chased one another.
Then, a sound, a subtle, almost a whisper, seeped through the quiet. The girl stopped, clutching the boy’s arm. “Did you hear that?”
“What is it?”
“Shh,” she hissed, pulling him closer, her wide eyes searching the shadows. "Listen."
They stood in silence, the air heavy and still, broken only by their own quickening breaths.
“It’s nothing. Perhaps a deer-”
“No, it’s more than that,” she whispered. Somewhere ahead, faint and distant, came the flicker of firelight. And with it, laughter. Wild and strange.
“What is that?” the boy asked, his voice barely a breath.
“Quiet,” she said, creeping forward, pulling him toward the light.
They peered out from behind a tree, breath catching at the sight before them. A great fire blazed, roaring into the sky as shadows twisted around it. Two figures danced wildly around the flames, naked, their skin smeared with red and ash. Their laughter, sharp and otherworldly, pierced the night air.
The girl’s scream barely escaped her lips before the boy’s hand clamped over her mouth, pulling her back. They stumbled, clutching one another, then turned and fled, racing down the trail as fast as their little legs would carry them, branches clawing at their clothes.
By the time they burst into the village, their faces were pale, their breaths ragged. Villagers gathered around as the children stumbled forward, pointing frantically toward the woods.
“Demons!” the girl gasped, clutching at the skirts of the nearest woman. “They’re out there! In the forest!”
There was a hushed sadness over the compound. The lights seemed to have dimmed, and the atmosphere hung heavy, cold and suffocating. It had been that way since the night Elijah found your lifeless body on the cold pavement. The night that changed everything.
Rebekah didn’t like it here anymore. Her home felt more like a tomb than a residence. It was too quiet, too full of memories and emotions too painful to confront. Her big brother was suffering, and there was nothing she could do to help him.
She found Klaus sitting in the courtyard, staring blankly at a chessboard. The pieces were scattered, mid-game, but his focus seemed to drift in and out. Normally, this contemplative silence from him made her nervous, but today she couldn’t muster the energy to care. The weight of everything was too much.
“Any news?” Rebekah asked, her voice barely a whisper.
Klaus didn’t move, didn’t speak at first. He shifted a chess piece absentmindedly and shrugged.
The sound of Marcel’s footsteps echoed through the stillness of the courtyard. She felt one of his warm hands rest gently on the small of her back, and she leaned into him, drawing comfort from his presence.
“I’ve been asking around. Only lead I have is that he’s somewhere in Europe,” Marcel said, his voice sounding hollow.
“Well, where in Europe?” Klaus finally spoke, his gaze never leaving the board.
“Don’t know. Haven’t pinpointed his exact location yet,” Marcel sighed. “But he’s been killing low-level Strix members, leaving bodies in his wake.”
Klaus scoffed softly, moving another piece on the board. “Keep looking,”
“You almost sound like you care,” Rebekah hissed, glaring at him.
“Don’t start with me, little sister,” Klaus warned, his voice low and sharp.
“Elijah has always been there for us,” she snapped, “And when he needs our help, where are you? Sitting here, playing chess with yourself.”
Klaus’s fist slammed down on the chessboard, sending the pieces flying across the table. He stood abruptly, stalking toward her, his eyes blazing. But Rebekah didn’t flinch, didn’t step back. She held his glare with her own, unrelenting.
“What do you want me to do?” Klaus roared, his voice cracking as his anger gave way to the grief simmering beneath. “Tell me, Rebekah. How do I fix this?”
“I want you to find him!” she screamed, tears stinging her eyes. “He’s our brother, Nik!”
Klaus’s shoulders slumped. His rage deflated, leaving him hollow. “I don’t know how to fix this, little sister,” he admitted quietly.
Marcel cleared his throat, stepping forward. “Maybe we should give him some time. Let him mourn her.”
“He’s not mourning, Marcel,” Klaus growled, clenching his jaw. “He’s murdering. He hasn’t even accepted that she’s dead.”
Rebekah and Marcel exchanged worried glances.
“We can’t just let him destroy himself,” Rebekah argued, her voice breaking. “Wherever he is, whoever crosses his path... they’re doomed. He’s out of control.”
“He’s changed,” Marcel muttered, rubbing his temple. “I’ve never seen him like this. So violent, so volatile.”
“That’s why I’m worried, Nik,” Rebekah said, her tone deadly serious. “If he’s not stopped, the Elijah we know will be gone. He will become a monster.”
Klaus looked down at the shattered chess pieces scattered across the table. “We are monsters, Rebekah,” he whispered, his voice raw.
“No, Nik,” she said, her voice trembling. “Not like this.”
Klaus remained silent for a moment, then lifted his gaze to meet hers. “Suppose someone took Marcellus from you. What would you do?”
“I would raze this earth and dance on the ashes,” she answered without hesitation, the fire of her love and loyalty burning bright in her eyes.
“That’s what he’s doing,” Klaus said darkly.
“Yes,” Rebekah agreed, “but Elijah would come for me. He would find me, and help me, keep me from losing myself. Now he’s the one who needs help.”
“How do we stop him?” Marcel asked, though his voice was laden with doubt.
Klaus shook his head slowly. “We don’t.”
“Nik…” Rebekah started, her voice pleading.
“We contain the damage,” Klaus cut her off, the steely resolve returning to his voice. “I’ll go to Europe. I’ll bring him back.”
Rebekah exhaled, relief flooding through her, and she pulled Klaus into a tight hug. She didn’t say anything, just held him as though her arms alone could keep the family from falling apart. He hugged her back, and for a moment, the cracks in their family seemed to close.
Marcel stood behind her, placing a hand on her shoulder and squeezing gently.
When she finally pulled away, Rebekah gave her brother a sad smile. “Be careful.”
Klaus nodded. “I will.”
His eyes flicked to Marcel, and the two men exchanged a knowing look. They both understood how dangerous this was. That if Elijah couldn’t be saved, they might lose him forever.
Or worse... they might have to put him down.
Two members of the Strix walked side by side, their steps echoing off the marble floors. One glanced around nervously, eyeing the high-tech security measures surrounding them, cameras in every corner, reinforced steel doors, layers of magical barriers.
"Is this really necessary? I can't stand being cooped up here. What's the point?" the taller vampire complained, his voice echoing through the empty corridor.
"Protocol," the other replied, his tone bored. "You know how paranoid Tristan can be. But I’m telling you, no one's getting in here. Not even him."
"I don’t get it. We had nothing to do with her death. Why are we hiding?"
"He doesn’t know that." The second vampire shook his head, his eyes flicking toward a monitor displaying multiple feeds from around the compound. “And he doesn’t seem to care about guilt or innocence anymore.”
They stopped at a reinforced door, pressing their palms to the scanners. As the heavy doors slid open, the two shared a final glance, the reality sinking in that even their supposed impenetrable defenses might not be enough.
They stepped into the dim room, illuminated only by the flickering light of the chandelier hanging above a long oak table. Strix members filled the chairs, their faces tense and uneasy. They had gathered in secret, far from prying eyes. Whispers of fear and uncertainty drifted across the room, but no one dared to speak above a murmur. The air was heavy with dread, and no one felt safe.
At the head of the table, Aya stood, her sharp gaze cutting through the room like a blade. She had always been the picture of composure, a pillar of strength, but now, her patience was thinning, her power waning, cracks in her armor where fear leaked through. Beside her, Tristan de Martel leaned casually in his chair, an amused smile playing on his lips, as if this was all a game to him. His eyes scanned the room, taking in the faces of his fellow Strix members, reveling in their discomfort.
“We all know why we’re here,” Aya began, her voice cold and steady, but there was an underlying tension to it, like a string about to snap. “Our ranks are thinning, and the reason is no secret.”
A murmur rippled through the room. Heads turned, glances were exchanged. They knew. Everyone knew.
“Elijah Mikaelson,” Tristan added, his voice smooth and casual, as if he were discussing the weather. His eyes gleamed with a cruel delight. “The noble brother has gone rogue. It seems the death of his beloved has… unraveled him.”
"That's an interesting way of putting it," one Strix member commented, his voice dripping with disdain. "He ripped apart fifty of my men, left a trail of bodies and witnesses, it took me days to cover it all up,"
"And how many vampires has he killed since then? Hundreds? Thousands?" another voice chimed in, sounding bitter.
"You're just scared," another vampire challenged, his tone mocking.
"Of course, we're scared. Do you know what he's capable of?" the first vampire hissed, baring his teeth.
"Silence," Aya ordered, her tone icy. The room fell quiet, the air crackling with tension. "We cannot defeat him, nor can we sit by and wait for him to tear us apart. He has lost his humanity, and it's clear that we must take action."
"We have already taken action and all it does is piss him off," the Strix member grumbled, "I have no interest in fighting a losing battle."
"You're a coward," Aya snarled, her eyes flashing with anger.
"What would you have us do?" another vampire spoke up, their voice strained, "We're no match for him."
"Perhaps we should consider a bargain," Tristan suggested, a sly smirk creeping across his lips. "Find the killer, deliver them to him, and save ourselves the trouble of being murdered."
The members murmured amongst themselves, some seeming open to the idea, while others still appeared wary.
"I cannot fathom why someone would be so foolish. Surely the person who did this knows the repercussions," a member said, a hint of fear in their voice.
Tristan's smile widened. "They were foolish indeed, and now they are the most hunted man, or woman, in the world,"
Aya's face was impassive, her mind racing. She had no doubt that Elijah would tear down the world to find his killer, and if the Strix didn't deliver them, he would do the same to their ranks. Tristan's indifference infuriated her. While he sat there with a smile, the Strix were suffering the consequences of his poor leadership.
A soft little cough pulled her from her thoughts, and she looked up to see a small girl standing at the other end of the table. She looked no older than twelve, with delicate features and wide, doe-like eyes. She looked lost, and this wasn't a place you could just wander into.
Other members noticed her presence and got to their feet, the scraping of chairs echoing off the walls. Aya narrowed her eyes, taking in the girl's appearance.
"Who are you?" Aya asked, her voice sharp.
The girl was clearly terrified, her hands shaking, and she looked like a deer caught in the headlights. Aya found it strange. She didn't sense the power of a witch coming off her, she was just a girl, and a very young one at that.
"I-I'm sorry," the girl stammered, her voice barely a whisper, "I don't know why I'm here. I just woke up here and now, I-I'm scared,"
"How did you get in here?" Aya questioned, her voice low and menacing.
"A nice man told me to come here," the girl mumbled, her eyes darting around the room, taking in the tense, hostile atmosphere. "He wanted me to talk to you."
Aya raised an eyebrow. "And why would he want that?"
The girl shrugged, her eyes brimming with tears. "I don't know, please, I just want to go home,"
"What did he look like?" Aya pressed, her voice growing louder.
"He had dark hair, and brown eyes," the girl sniffled, trying to hold back her sobs.
Tristan's jaw clenched, his eyes narrowing dangerously. The room was suddenly silent, the tension now unbearable. Aya stared at the girl, her face an unreadable mask, but inside, her mind was racing.
"What did he want you to say?" Aya asked, her voice quiet, dangerous.
The girl’s breath hitched, her words barely audible. "That... he will give all of you a slow death."
The temperature in the room plummeted, and a cold shiver ran down Aya’s spine. She struggled to hide her unease, but the implication was clear: Elijah had infiltrated their sanctuary.
"A-and that... if I can get in..." The girl gulped, her small voice quaking, "He can too."
The room fell into a suffocating silence as the weight of her words settled on the group. Tristan shot up from his chair, his face dark with fury.
“Lockdown procedures. Now.” Tristan barked, his voice commanding and harsh.
"What about the girl?" Aya asked, her eyes narrowing as she looked at the trembling child. Her instincts told her something wasn’t right.
"Kill her," Tristan spat, his voice cold and merciless. "She’s served her purpose."
The room erupted into chaos. Sirens blared as the compound went into immediate lockdown. The lights flickered, dimming to an eerie glow. The Strix moved quickly, vanishing into the shadows, their bodies blurring as they scattered, heading for safe rooms or exit points.
Aya hesitated for a moment, her gaze still fixed on the girl. She started toward her, but a voice in her head warned her against it. With one last glance, she turned and hurried toward the safe room.
The little girl stood trembling in the darkness, tears streaming down her face. The once-imposing vampires had fled, leaving her all alone in the icy silence.
"It's okay, sweetheart," a voice purred from the shadows, smooth and calming. The girl gasped, her heart racing as she felt a hand on her shoulder, firm yet oddly comforting.
She turned to see a tall man standing behind her, his dark hair framing his sharp features, his kind eyes watching her closely. "Run along now," he said softly, giving her a gentle push toward the door.
The girl nodded quickly, wiping her tears before scampering away, the door sliding shut behind her with a soft hiss.
Elijah watched her go, his kind smile fading as the room returned to darkness. His eyes glinted coldly, the warmth in them vanishing like smoke. Slowly, the veins beneath his eyes darkened, spreading like cracks in the surface of his calm exterior.
He was already inside.
As the sirens echoed, he vanished into the shadows once more, his presence like a gathering storm. And what followed this storm, was pure, unrelenting destruction.
The soft drone of a news broadcast drifted through an abandoned loft, dust floating through the air. The heavy velvet curtains were drawn, the room dark and shadowy, save for the light of a flickering TV. The anchor woman's face was somber, her voice solemn.
“Une tragédie a frappé Paris la nuit dernière... un incendie dévastateur a détruit un immeuble historique, laissant peu de traces de ce qui s’y trouvait. Les autorités locales confirment que l’origine du feu demeure inconnue, mais la rapidité à laquelle il s’est propagé soulève des questions.”
Subtitles scrolled across the bottom of the screen in English: "A tragic accident struck Paris last night... a devastating fire destroyed a historic building, leaving few traces of what was inside. Local authorities confirm that the cause of the fire is unknown, but the speed at which it spread raises questions."
The camera cut to images of the smoldering wreckage. Blackened stone, twisted metal, and fire trucks still spraying water over what little remained.
Elijah wasn't paying attention to the TV anymore; he had his head in his hands, hunched over in a chair, his body wracked with sobs. Bodies were strewn about the room, blood spattered on the walls and floors. A macabre painting of violence and rage. The sight of the lifeless forms weighed heavily on him, a chilling reminder of his own actions.
He didn't know how long he had been there, but it felt like an eternity. Each day blended into the next, the hours stretching into a meaningless void. Days would go by where he felt utterly detached, lost in a sea of grief and loss, and then the anger would return, awakening him to a new trail of bodies. There were so many, too many, and yet it wasn't enough.
“Les témoins affirment avoir vu des ombres avant que l’incendie n’éclate, mais aucune preuve tangible n’a été trouvée. Des sources proches de l’enquête évoquent une possible attaque ciblée, bien que les détails restent flous.”
"Witnesses reported seeing shadows before the fire broke out, but no physical evidence has been found. Sources close to the investigation say there may have been a targeted attack, though details remain unclear."
"You used a child? My love, what has become of you?"
Elijah didn't flinch, didn't react as he felt your arms wrap around his shoulders, your lips pressing a gentle kiss on his cheek. Your voice was soft, tinged with sadness and disappointment. He hated himself for it.
"She's fine," Elijah said, his voice strained, barely able to meet your gaze.
"You don't know that," you sighed, your hands moving to his chest, trying to soothe him. "And you know this isn't the way,"
"There is no other way," he replied, his voice cracking, desperation lacing his words.
"You used an innocent child, one not much older than Hope," you said, a hint of anger breaking through your sadness.
Elijah stiffened. He knew you were right. It didn't make what he did any better, and he felt his self-loathing increase tenfold.
"They killed you; I did what I had to," Elijah defended, but the words felt hollow, a pitiful excuse.
"This isn't the way," you repeated, your voice pleading, "and you don't know who did it, or why. This is all just a guess, a hunch."
He let out another quiet sob, then grabbed his glass of blood and threw it against the wall, the shards falling like crimson rain. He stared at the stain on the wall, watching the liquid trickle down, and he couldn't help but feel a sick sense of satisfaction.
"You have to stop," you whispered, appearing in front of him, your hand cupping his cheek, trying to pull him away from the dark, destructive spiral he was on.
"I can't," he said, his voice breaking, unable to look at you, this ghost haunting him.
"Please," you begged, your hand moving to his neck, gently stroking his skin, trying to comfort him. "I know this pain. It's agony, it's consuming, but I promise you, it will fade."
He pulled you onto his lap, his arms wrapping around you, holding you close, trying to breathe in your scent, to feel your warmth. But he couldn't. You were an echo, a phantom he couldn't grasp.
"You can't bring me back. You know that," you whispered, your voice barely audible, a soft, sad reminder.
He didn't respond, just held you, his fingers digging into your skin, his eyes closed tightly, fighting back tears. He had spent so many nights like this, crying himself to sleep, waking up to nothing, just an empty bed, a cold room, and a hollow, broken heart.
He opened his eyes and let out a gasp as he realized he was clinging to one of the dead bodies on the floor, the vampire's skin gray and decaying, the body long since gone cold.
Elijah released the body and staggered to his feet, his head swimming with despair and self-loathing. His pain and sorrow gave way to anger and frustration, fueling the urge to hurt, to destroy anything and anyone.
"Par ailleurs, une jeune fille a disparu après ne pas être rentrée chez elle. La jeune fille, qui aurait douze ans, a été vue pour la dernière fois dans la zone de l'incendie,"
"In other news, a young girl has gone missing after failing to return home. The girl, who is reported to be twelve years old, was last seen in the area of the fire..."
Elijah snapped, grabbing the TV and throwing it against the wall, the sound of shattering glass echoing through the room. His rage burned bright, a hot, white flame. His heart raced, his breathing ragged, his body shaking with fury.
He wanted to scream, he wanted to kill, but more than anything, he wanted you. He wanted to hold you, to feel your warmth, to hear your voice. He couldn't take it anymore; he was falling apart.
Klaus was never a big croissant fan; he preferred something heartier for breakfast. But here, in France, the flaky pastry seemed to taste infinitely better. Maybe it was the morning sunlight filtering through the café windows or the distant sounds of bustling streets.
He took a sip of his espresso, his eyes scanning the crowded café, absorbing the lively atmosphere. Freya sat across from him, her brow furrowed as she read a spell book, her expression thoughtful.
"Anything in there about wrangling wayward siblings?" Klaus teased, a wry grin playing on his lips.
Freya glanced up, a slight frown creasing her forehead. "That's more your area of expertise."
Klaus let out a huff of laughter. "Fair enough."
Freya’s expression softened, a small smile breaking through. "It will be okay. We'll find him."
Klaus nodded, biting into his croissant, the flakes melting in his mouth. The clatter of dishes and murmurs of conversation surrounded them, along with the distant strains of a busker playing a violin.
"Then what? I’ve never known what to say to him," Klaus said, a hint of sadness in his voice. "He’s always the one with the wise words, not me."
"Honesty is all we have," Freya replied, her tone gentle. "We tell him we miss him, that he’s our brother, and we want him home."
"And that we need to have a funeral, or at least a memorial. Hope is very confused about what happened to her aunt," Klaus added, his gaze drifting to the people walking by the window.
"We'll do it together, as a family," Freya reassured, reaching across the table to squeeze his hand. Her touch was gentle, a lifeline in the turmoil. "He needs to know we’re here for him."
"And if he doesn’t want to come back? What then?" Klaus asked, his voice heavy with concern.
"We will cross that bridge when we get to it." Freya pointed at the spell book, her expression brightening. "I’m looking into ways to calm his mind. Perhaps if he can control his rage, he can start to heal."
"I don’t wish to subdue him," Klaus said, frowning. "He deserves the right to his pain, to grieve in his own way."
Freya’s eyes widened, surprised by his response. It wouldn’t be the first time Klaus had tried to force Elijah or the rest of their family into doing things his way. Yet, despite his brashness, she knew Klaus was a man of deep, powerful emotions, capable of empathy.
"What?" Klaus asked, quirking an eyebrow at her.
"You’ve grown," Freya smiled. "It’s good to see."
"Don’t get used to it," Klaus quipped, taking another bite of his croissant and washing it down with a sip of his espresso. "I wish for us to go back to normal, where I’m the problem."
"You’ll never not be a problem, Nik," Freya grinned, a mischievous glint in her eyes.
"Rude," he scowled.
"But true," she sighed, returning to her book with a smile.
Klaus took another sip of his espresso, his gaze drifting to the TV hanging in the corner. A news broadcast caught his attention, the images of a fire flickering on the screen. He leaned forward, his expression sharpening as he listened intently.
"There is new information coming in from the investigation into the fire in downtown Paris. Police have now identified more than two hundred bodies recovered from the scene, with no indication yet of how many are still missing. It's believed the victims were all members of a private art curation company, with holdings in several countries. While authorities are still investigating the cause of the blaze, it's being suggested the fire was set deliberately."
Klaus’s stomach dropped, a familiar dread creeping in. The timing was too convenient, and this 'art curation company' sounded like a cover for a secret society. He gestured to the screen, espresso still in hand, splashing a few drops onto the table. "Looks like a place for us to visit, wouldn’t you say?"
Freya looked up, her brow furrowing. "Do you think Elijah has anything to do with it?"
"If this organization is the Strix -sorry, was the Strix- then absolutely," Klaus replied, a grim smile forming on his lips. "Perhaps they gave him the answers he was looking for. Answers we weren’t able to find."
"I can’t imagine it would have been a pleasant reunion," Freya sighed, shaking her head. "I can’t say I blame him."
Klaus’s smile faded. He had tried his best, searching for months through the ashes of Elijah’s rage. He had gone from city to city, country to country, even continent to continent. And now, as he stood on the brink of discovery, he couldn’t help but wonder what condition Elijah would be in when they finally found him.
"Well then, no point in wasting any more time," Klaus said, taking a final sip of his espresso.
Freya nodded, closing her book, quickly downing her coffee before stealing the last bite of Klaus’s croissant, earning a playful glare.
"Oi!" he growled, "I was going to eat that."
"Too slow, brother," she smirked.
Klaus rolled his eyes and stood, tossing a wad of cash on the table without bothering to count. The two of them hurried out, the waiter shaking his head as he picked up the money and Klaus's empty plate.
"Americans," he muttered under his breath.
The site of the fire was a blackened husk, the acrid smell of smoke still heavy in the air. Klaus and Freya walked along the sidewalk, watching the firefighters douse the smoldering remains with water. Distant sirens echoed, a haunting reminder of the chaos that had unfolded.
"Can't believe it's still burning," Klaus mused, a slight frown on his face.
"Must have been quite the inferno," Freya remarked, her expression thoughtful.
"Magic?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.
"No, I don't sense any," Freya said, shaking her head. "Whoever started it didn't use magic."
Klaus glanced at her, a smirk on his lips. "I thought you didn't think Elijah had anything to do with it?"
Freya shrugged. "Maybe he did, maybe he didn't."
Klaus wrinkled his nose, his keen sense of smell picking up the lingering scent of blood beneath all the ash and smoke. Human, vampire, a mix of the two. The fire had raged through the night, burning hot and fast, devouring everything in its path.
"I do sense death, though," Freya murmured, her brow furrowing, her expression darkening. "Lots of it."
"Well, I can't imagine there'll be much left for us to find, considering how thorough my brother is," Klaus muttered, his gaze roving over the ruined buildings, his stomach sinking.
"Why are you so sure it was him?" Freya asked, her eyes narrowing.
"Because I can smell his cologne, no1 passant guardant," Klaus replied, wrinkling his nose.
"Kinda weird that you can smell that, Nik," Freya smirked, giving him a sideways glance.
"I'm a hybrid, love; it's one of my many gifts," Klaus replied, his tone matter-of-fact.
Freya shook her head, a wry grin on her lips, suppressing a giggle as she watched her brother sniff the air, his eyes closed, his expression one of intense concentration.
"Could be someone else with the same taste in cologne; you never know," she teased, nudging him with her elbow.
"It’s very difficult to come by; only a handful of stores carry it," Klaus muttered, ignoring her teasing. "And... she bought it for him just before... you know."
"Ah," Freya's expression softened, her amusement replaced by a mix of sadness and understanding.
Klaus opened his eyes, his gaze sweeping over the destruction once more, the weight of grief settling on his shoulders. He missed you. Your laughter, your wit, the way you could put him in his place. He admired your loyalty, your strength, and how much you loved his brother.
"What are you thinking about?" Freya asked, her voice quiet and cautious.
"Our departed sister-in-law... the cause of all of this," Klaus said, a sad smile on his lips.
"You can't blame her, you know," Freya murmured, her eyes filled with understanding and sympathy. "I miss her too."
"It's hard to be reminded, is all," Klaus replied, a hint of pain in his voice.
Freya gave him a soft, sympathetic smile, her hand gently squeezing his shoulder. "You know... I never learned how they met," she said, trying to steer the conversation toward something less melancholy.
Klaus laughed, shaking his head. "Oh, it's quite a tale, and some parts I'm not privy to. But I can tell you that she was a novice in a convent," he began, a sparkle in his eye.
"A nun?!" Freya exclaimed, her eyebrows shooting up.
"Indeed, although she hadn't taken her vows," Klaus chuckled, amused by the surprised look on her face.
"So, what happened? How did they end up together?" Freya asked, intrigued.
"For all parties involved, it was quite a dramatic affair," Klaus continued, a wistful smile forming on his lips. "But we have more important things to focus on, don't you think?"
Freya sighed, rolling her eyes. "You're no fun."
Klaus let out a huff of laughter and returned to focusing on the scents around him, trying to find a trail, something that might lead him to his brother. He caught the faintest whiff of blood, the scent leading away from the fire, and deeper into the city.
"This way," he said, striding confidently down a street, away from the site of the fire.
Freya hurried to catch up, her long legs making short work of the distance, her boots clattering on the cobblestone streets.
"How can you be so sure?" Freya asked, falling in step beside him, her voice low and cautious.
"I just am," Klaus said, his tone brooking no argument. "That bloody cologne of his is everywhere. No one else has such atrocious taste in fragrances."
"Nik..." Freya cautioned, her tone warning, her gaze flickering to the passersby, making sure no one was eavesdropping. "We don't know what's waiting for us. We can't just charge in."
"I know; that's why you are going in first, my dear sister," Klaus smirked, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
"Nik," Freya protested, her expression indignant.
"Don't worry, I'll be right behind you," Klaus grinned, giving her a playful nudge as they rounded a corner.
The two of them came to a stop outside an old building, its stone façade crumbling, the windows boarded up. Klaus gestured for Freya to go in, and with a roll of her eyes, she did.
"This place is creepy," she muttered, her boots echoing on the cracked tile floor.
"There's blood, a lot of it," Klaus said, sniffing the air, his eyes closed, his body tensed. "Upstairs."
They made their way up an old spiral staircase, the steps creaking under their feet. They reached a landing; the hallway was dark and narrow.
"Down there," Klaus said, pointing at a closed door at the end of the hall.
Freya nodded and slowly approached the door, her senses alert, her magic tingling under her skin. It was eerily quiet; the silence weighed heavy in the air, pressing down on her.
She stopped at the door, her hand hovering over the handle. She looked back at Klaus, his expression calm and composed, but she could sense his nervousness, his apprehension.
"Ready?" she whispered.
Klaus gave her a curt nod. Freya took a deep breath and turned the handle, the door opening with a creak.
"Elijah?"
The two of them were met with the sight of a massacre: body parts strewn across the room, blood splattered on the walls.
Freya gasped and took a step back, Klaus's hand gripping her shoulder. His eyes roved over the carnage, landing on a lone figure in the middle of the room, standing motionless.
"Elijah," Klaus breathed.
His brother was wearing an old T-shirt and jeans, tattered and bloodstained, covered in dirt. His hair was matted and wild, his eyes haunted, the light dimmed within them.
Klaus and Freya stepped inside, careful not to slip on the blood, the floor sticky and wet. They approached Elijah slowly, his gaze fixed on the severed arm in his hand, his eyes dull and lifeless.
"Brother?" Klaus said, his voice barely above a whisper, his hand reaching out.
"You are not real," Elijah murmured, not taking his eyes off the limb, his expression vacant and distant.
"Elijah, we're here," Freya said gently. "It's time to come home."
"I won't be fooled again," Elijah hissed, his grip tightening on the severed arm.
Klaus took a tentative step forward, one arm stretched behind him to protect Freya, the other held out, placating and non-threatening. "We're not illusions, brother," he said softly, reassuringly.
"Freya," Elijah breathed, his head snapping up, his gaze finding hers.
"Yes, Elijah, it's me," she replied, giving him a gentle smile.
He blinked, his eyes flicking from her face to Klaus's, his brow furrowing. "Have you found a way to bring her back?"
Klaus and Freya exchanged glances, their expressions sad and resigned. It wasn't something Freya wanted to do... to tap into such dark magic. She had been searching for you on the other side but found no trace. She believed you had found peace, and to tear you away from that would be a cursed, evil thing, an affront to the balance between life and death.
"Elijah, there's no way, not without consequence," Klaus said, his tone firm, his eyes filled with regret. "We discussed this."
Elijah dropped the severed arm, his hands clenching into fists. "You're wrong. There is a way."
"Elijah," Freya began, but he cut her off.
"Bring her back," he demanded, his eyes burning with intensity.
"I can't," Freya said, her voice quiet and regretful. "I'm sorry, Elijah. She's gone; she's at rest."
"No, no, no," Elijah growled, his hands coming up to grip his hair, tugging at the roots, his chest heaving, eyes wild.
"Brother, she's in a better place," Klaus tried, his tone firm and reassuring. "I think it's time you come home... You need to let her go."
Elijah shook his head, his breathing ragged, his whole body trembling. "No, no, no," he chanted, his eyes darting around the room, looking for something.
"Elijah," Freya murmured, her brow furrowed, her expression concerned. "Please, come with us. She wouldn't want this for you."
"No, no, no!" he growled, his voice echoing off the blood-spattered walls, his face contorted in a mask of rage.
He grabbed a nearby table and threw it against the wall, the sound of splintering wood reverberating through the air.
"Bloody hell," Klaus growled, grabbing Freya and yanking her backward, shielding her with his body.
Elijah lunged at them, his fangs bared, a murderous look in his eyes. He tackled Klaus, sending them both crashing into the wall, the plaster cracking under the impact.
"Nik!" Freya exclaimed, her magic sparking at her fingertips.
"Elijah, you've gone mad," Klaus grunted, shoving him away, sending him careening across the room. "She's dead."
"Niklaus," Elijah growled, his body vibrating with anger, the haunted, hollow look in his eyes replaced by raw, unhinged rage. "Bring. Her. Back."
"We can't, and you know it," Klaus spat, his eyes flashing yellow, his face shifting into the hybrid’s feral features. "She's at peace, Elijah. We need to let her go."
"I won't, I can't," Elijah raged, his body trembling, his eyes filling with unshed tears that threatened to spill over. His voice broke. "How can you ask me to do that?"
Freya’s heart clenched at the sight of her brother unraveling, his usual restraint shattered. "Come home, please," Freya pleaded, her eyes welling with tears, her voice thick with desperation. "We can help you."
Elijah's chest heaved, his wild eyes shifting from Klaus to Freya, barely recognizing them. "Get out," he growled, the words vibrating through the bloodstained room. His gaze locked on Klaus, his voice turning into a vicious snarl. "GET OUT!"
Klaus stared at him for a moment, his expression conflicted. Freya watched him pull a silver dagger out of his pocket, the familiar glint of the cursed weapon that had subjugated their family time and time again. She hadn't even known he had brought one with him, and her heart clenched at the sight. She didn’t want this for either of them. But given Elijah's state, she knew it was necessary.
"I'm sorry, Elijah," Klaus said, his voice solemn. He rushed forward, his movements a blur, and before Elijah could react, he buried the blade in his brother’s chest. The gasp Elijah let out echoed in the empty, ravaged room. The look on his face was heartbreaking, a mixture of shock and pain. Klaus had to steel himself against the emotion threatening to overtake him, reminding himself it was for the best, for all of them.
"Rest now, brother," Klaus murmured, pulling him into a tight embrace, cradling his body as Elijah slumped, his strength leaving him. His big brother, the north star of the family, now lost to grief.
"I thought you didn't want to subdue him," Freya whispered, her voice shaky, her eyes wide with shock as she pressed a trembling hand against her mouth.
"It was a last resort," Klaus said, his voice thick with emotion, trying and failing to hide the crack in his composure. "I couldn't bear seeing him like this any longer. I didn't think... he would be so... unhinged."
"He's grieving," Freya said softly, her eyes filled with sympathy as she knelt beside them, brushing a hand through Elijah’s matted hair. "He loves her, Nik. Losing her... it's broken him."
"I know," Klaus muttered, his arms tightening around Elijah, holding him close as if he could protect him from the demons he was fighting inside. His voice cracked, and before he could stop it, a tear slipped down his cheek. Quickly, he wiped it away, trying to maintain his strength.
"Time to go home," Klaus said, his voice barely above a whisper, thick with sorrow. "For all of us."
Freya reached out, gently taking Elijah's limp hand in hers, squeezing it tight as they prepared to leave the nightmare behind. She hoped and prayed that Elijah could feel her love through the numbness, that somewhere, deep within the wreckage of his mind, he knew they would never give up on him.
That the battle to bring you back hadn’t been in vain. It had only just begun.

a night in
kate bishop x female reader
After dinner plans are cancelled, Kate Bishop skips straight to dessert
straight up smut, kate topping, she is so fucking horny, fingering, oral (R receiving), mentions of her strap, 1.4k words
Dating Kate Bishop keeps you on your toes.
At the last possible minute, as the two of you were ready to leave her apartment in white tie attire for the high-end Valentine’s dinner reservation awaiting you, she got a call from Clint that had her huffing and grunting and tugging off her blazer.
“Stupid— fucking— superhero thing,” she’d muttered, fumbling with her quiver, “won’t— give me a, uhm, a couple hours, baby, I’ll be so quick.”
When she comes home, you’re at the kitchen counter, preparing a homemade meal in place of your prior plans. You’re still in the tight little number she picked out for you to match with her suit, figuring she’d still want to take it off you. The front door slams, and almost instantly she’s dropped her gear on the ground and made a beeline towards where you’re stood.
“Hi, baby,” you murmur, setting down the knife and turning to face her. Within a moment she’s pressing herself against your back, hands on your hips, stopping you from moving.
“No,” she sighs against your skin, her chest to your back, her mouth on your neck. She leans into you, draping herself over your back to pin you between her body and the counter, and hold you in place. “Stay.”
You’re quiet, cheeks reddening as her lithe arms curl upwards to let her hands cup your tits. Sometimes she’ll hold them just for the sake of holding them, but today she wastes no time in beginning to roughly grope them over your dress, fingers tugging hungrily at the cleavage.
“Katie,” you sigh, unable to stop yourself from leaning back, instinctively relaxing into her touch. She’s solid behind you, deceptively strong, groaning against the skin of your neck and then taking it between her teeth. You whimper.
“Was thinking of these the whole time I was gone,” she tells you lowly. She fumbles with the front of your dress, whining in the back of her throat when she can’t free your tits with ease.
“J— just my tits?” you manage, overwhelmed by her, arching your back into her touch.
“All of you,” Kate admits hoarsely, her hands moving to undo the zipper of your dress now. “Just you. Fuck.”
She’s all over you, she’s everywhere, beginning to grind herself against your ass as she trails open-mouthed kisses across the newly exposed skin of your shoulders. She tugs your dress down further still, impatiently rutting against you like a dog in heat, and you wince as you hear fabric rip.
“S’fine,” she mutters against the skin of your spine, sending shivers down it. She begins to tug you towards the sofa. “C’mere.”
“Katie, the food,” you remind her.
“I don’t— screw the food, we’ll get takeout. You taste better.”
She grips your hips as she sits on the sofa and pulls you onto her lap. The dress is somehow squirmed off of you entirely, leaving you in nothing but panties, and as Kate fights with the buttons of her own shirt you’re finally able to take her in — her pretty lips are parted as she pants softly, cheeks a little flushed, pupils blown. She looks up at you as she tosses her buttonup aside and a thrill of arousal shoots through you as her darkened, hungry eyes lock onto yours and finally your lips meet.
You whine openly into her mouth as her tongue slides against yours, and her hands make their way to your tits again, her thumbs toying with your nipples. Without the boundary of your dress you can feel how cold her hands are, and it makes you tense, squirming a little.
“Shhh, sh sh,” she soothes against your lips, “just let me play with you. Been— been thinking of you like this all night, baby, fuck.” She drags out the syllables, her voice dripping with need, and she’s not the only thing that’s dripping.
“You’re so wet, huh?” Kate muses as your wetness seeps through your underwear and onto her trousers. She jogs her leg, rubbing against your cunt and watching with amusement as you squirm. “Yeah? That feel good, baby? You want more?”
You cry out in the affirmative, and one hand stays on your tits while the other slides down to nurse your overwhelming wetness. She toys with you over your underwear, teasing your clit until you’re shivering in her arms, before growing impatient with her own games as she often does and sliding her cold hand beneath the lacy fabric. You yelp at the contact, and let out a low guttural cry as she slides two fingers into you without hesitation.
“Shh, it’s okay,” she soothes you, lazily curling her fingers inside of you as the pad of her thumb makes its way onto your clit. “Just be a good girl and take it. I’ve been outside working, I’ve been so cold, and I was thinking of this the whole time. You’re gonna be good for me and warm me up, okay? You gonna warm up my fingers?”
“Y— yes,” you cry out. You’re rolling your hips into her, arms curled around the back of her neck, and as the pleasure grows more intense your head falls forward to rest on her shoulder. You pant softly as, on every thrust into you, Kate fucks into the sensitive spot of your gummy walls that makes your vision go white.
“So— s’good,” you whine, breath hot against her skin, and you feel her shiver a little.
“Yeah?” she murmurs, picking up the pace a little. With every thrust your wetness seeps out of you and down onto her thigh, soaking it. “God, you’re so fucking tight,” she says desperately, whiny, her own hips beginning to rut up into you as she fucks you, and it’s the way that she gets off on your pleasure alone that has you gasping and teetering on the edge.
“Cum— cum on my fingers, baby,” she almost begs, an arm looped around your waist to hold you in place as she fucks you steadily, sinking her teeth into the soft skin of your neck. With a cry you obey, blinding waves of euphoria rolling over you as you clench around Kate so hard that she struggles to continue thrusting into you.
“Fuck, fuck,” she grits, fucking you through your orgasm and shuddering a little. The realisation that she’s cum in her pants just from fucking you has you whining, dragging your fingernails down her back, rocking into her. Eventually she pulls her hand from your cunt, sucking your slick off of her fingers and whimpering at the taste.
“Have to taste you,” she mumbles, almost to herself, easing you off of her lap onto the sofa and then getting on her knees. “Just take what I give you, baby, so good for me.”
Kate nudges your thighs apart, burying herself between them and running her tongue up your slit. She groans at the taste, not caring for your little whimpers of overstimulation.
“So fucking good,” she breathes, one arm wrapping itself around each of your thighs to hold you in place. You’re too far gone to muster a reply.
Kate Bishop always eats you out like a woman starved. Tonight, though, she’s hungrier than you’ve ever seen her. She laps at you messily, her nose nudging against your sensitive clit, desperate to engulf you. You’re crying out her name, writhing, and when you reach out to wind your hand through her hair she looks up at you through her lashes. Her eyes are wide and dark, lips swollen, the entire lower half of her face glistening with your juices. She blinks up at you hungrily, still lapping at your clit, swallowing everything you have to offer her, and the sight paired with the overwhelming pleasure coursing through you is enough to have you cumming on her tongue. She hums approvingly against you, the vibrations only prolonging your orgasm, and you feel so overwhelmingly good you can’t even move. Eventually she slows down, sensing your need for a break, and makes her way back up your body to tug you into her arms and hold you close to her.
“So good for me,” Kate soothes you, a hand combing through your hair. “So good at taking everything I give you. So, so good, my gorgeous baby.” She waits until you’ve come down a little more, until your eyes are a little less glassy, before grinning at you. “Happy Valentine’s, sweet girl. You want to ride my strap next?”

A Logan Sargeant Primer: Part I (2000 - 2015)
Logan grows up in a ritzy suburb of Fort Lauderdale called Lighthouse Point with his parents and his older brother, Dalton.
The Sargeants don't have a deep motorsport history. Dalton and Logan get their first go-karts for Christmas in 2006, a gift from their father after their mother refuses to let her children ride dirt bikes anymore. Logan tells the NYT that:
“No one in the family was really even that much into racing. We just picked it up as a hobby, something to do on the weekend.”
The two brothers get more serious as the years go by-- within a few years, they're racing competitively. They both do well. Logan finishes in third place in only his first year of racing, and wins two titles in his second.
Unfortunately, they figure out fairly quickly that there isn’t much more room to advance in American karting:
My older brother, Dalton, and I had been racing for a few years, and it had gotten to the point where we were asking around about where the next best level of competition was, and everybody was saying the same thing…. It was always Europe, Europe, Europe, Europe. To the point where my parents really started to think about it. At first it was just this idea, like Maybe we’ll move to Europe, who knows. I was just a kid overhearing stuff, so I didn’t know how serious the conversation must have been until this day I’ll never forget.
The conversation gets serious in 2012, when Logan’s dad, Daniel, asks the two if they want to move to Switzerland:
It was summer, and we were out to lunch. It was me, my dad, and Dalton. [...] So we’re at this restaurant, right? Chowing down on burgers (my favorite), and my dad gets to asking us about racing. Finally, he’s like, “What do you guys think? Do you really want to race in Europe? Are you 100% sure about this?” Me being 11 and naive, I was like, “Yeah sure.” Looking back on it, I think I was lucky I was that young and that I didn’t really know what I was signing up for. All the different ways it could change my life, the level of sacrifice it would require from my whole family. Because if I had known, I don’t know if I would’ve made the same decision so easily. It all happened fast, like in the movies. One minute, it’s Christmas, I’m six, and me and Dalton are yelling at the top of our lungs, excited about the two karts sitting in the driveway, pointed diagonally at each other like in a magazine. Next minute, I’m 11 and Dalton’s 14. We’re sitting at the table eating lunch with my dad, and it’s decided — our family’s moving to Europe.
When Logan tells the same story in GQ in 2023, he says:
I was always just going with the flow. For me it was just: sure.
The Sergeant family leaves for Switzerland just as Logan finishes up fifth grade. While Logan always talks about the family move to Switzerland in the context of his parents making sacrifices for his career, it's a little more complicated than that.
GQ’s profile steps around the subject, briefly mentioning that “in addition to the racing opportunities, [Logan’s] Dad had business there.” Unfortunately, business would be an understatement.
At the time, Logan’s dad, Daniel, worked for the family business– an asphalt trading and shipping company named Sergeant Marine. One of the driving forces behind Sergeant Marine’s success would be Daniel’s older brother, Harry.
When Logan’s detractors mention his family’s connections to Trump, they’re usually referencing Harry. The NYT describes his billionaire uncle as “a former [Top Gun] fighter pilot and onetime finance chair of Florida’s Republican Party who has been sued by the brother-in-law of King Abdullah II of Jordan and whose name turned up, tangentially, in the 2020 impeachment of former President Donald J. Trump. (Harry was not accused of any wrongdoing.)”
Harry would leave the company around the time Daniel moved his family to Switzerland. According to The Florida Phoenix, “The entire family was embroiled in a long-running bitter series of lawsuits that ended with a 2015 bankruptcy settlement. Harry III walked away with a cool $56-million. In return he gave up any claim to ownership of Sargeant Marine and other family companies. There were 14 different lawsuits in several states in addition to the bankruptcy. The lawsuits produced salacious testimony that could only arise in a vicious dispute between millionaires. Harry III accused his brother Daniel of spending millions on his sons’ pursuits of race car driving and other ventures. Meanwhile, Daniel accused Sargeant III of being a spendthrift on things such as a $7.5-million mansion, private jets and exotic cars.”
Logan with his dad.
It would, somehow, get worse:
Oil and asphalt mogul Harry Sargeant III claims that industrial design plans along with recordings of "private consensual relations" were purloined from his private email account and traded off to a corporate intelligence agent as part of a years-long smear campaign against him spearheaded by his brother. Reigniting a long-running saga of brother-against-brother litigation, Harry Sargeant III claims that hundreds of pages of business records, personal discussions and "extremely sensitive videos and photographs" were illegally obtained from his email account. The material was used as currency for information-bartering between his brother Daniel Sargeant and a corporate intelligence chief at the nonparty legal service firm Burford, the lawsuit alleges. Harry is demanding damages for alleged invasion of privacy on the part of Daniel. The brothers had in years past worked together on managing the Sargeant family's global oil and asphalt empire, before intra-family disputes began to tear them apart. [...] The lawsuit claims the Burford investigator, a former corporate attorney, knows Harry well. According to the court documents, the investigator for years worked as an enforcement agent on a $28 million judgment secured against Harry by the king of Jordan's brother-in-law Mohammad Al-Saleh, who accused Harry of cutting him out of a deal to distribute oil to troops in the Iraq War. [...] Harry claims brother Daniel gave the corporate intelligence agent the treasure trove of Harry's emails in exchange for inside information that would help the Sargeant family's asphalt company Latin American Investments in a separate multimillion-dollar legal dispute. Harry's underlying email account ran on a server of the family company Sargeant Marine. When he was ousted from the Sargeant empire, Harry had been told that the account was cut off at the root and all information in it had been destroyed, the lawsuit says. The lifted emails were instead provided to an "untold number of people" inside and outside of the family businesses in 2016, the lawsuit claims.
The information that Daniel traded his brother’s sex tape for would end up being useless. Daniel is currently out a $5 million bond and awaiting sentencing for the foreign bribery and money laundering charges he pled guilty to back in 2019. After bribing officials in three South American countries to secure asphalt contracts, the Department of Justice ended up making an example of the company– and Daniel– for violating the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
While Logan cites his career as a big reason for the family move, it appears that Sargeant Marine had conveniently made shell companies in Switzerland to aid in their illegal business dealings that same year.
Logan, blissfully unaware of any drama, tries to make the most of the big move. They move to Lugano, Switzerland– Dalton and Logan go to the American School on weekdays and race on the weekends in the European junior circuit, bouncing them between Italy, Switzerland and Britain. In GQ, Logan says:
“I definitely felt like school was a lot more challenging than in Florida,” he recalled. “And we were missing a lot of school, for sure, but that’s part of it with racing. It is what it is.”
Logan loves Switzerland. In his Players’ Tribune article, he says:
We moved into a three-bedroom apartment. It was me, my parents, Dalton, and our dog Roxy, the world traveler. Big difference from Florida. We had a whole new life. I loved Switzerland. I had a lot of good friends at my school there. I can’t explain it, but I just felt more a part of things. Me and my friends were big Chelsea fans, and we’d be hanging out, playing soccer all the time. We played Call of Duty like every other kid in the world.
However… Logan is the only one. Daniel is out doing shady asphalt deals around the world and suing his brother. Dalton moves back to Florida after a year-and-a-half. Their mother follows soon after that. Logan ends up living alone at the school:
Dalton was my older brother, so for as far back as I can remember, I was chasing him. Man, we fought all the time. Every race, we were up against all these other kids, but he was always the one I was really trying to beat. But the thing is, when you’re a kid you miss things. You just can’t see everything so clearly. Like, for instance, being a bit older than me, I think he felt the shift more strongly when we moved, but I didn’t know it. He stayed in Switzerland for a year and a half, did some European karting, and started testing Formula cars. Then one day he just decided he wanted to go home and race in America. I won’t lie, that was a shock at the time. But I get it more now. Making that big life change was hard on my mom, too. Just think, you’re living in this brand new place, don’t have many friends. Me and Dalton were at school all day. My dad was traveling all over the place with work, so he was hardly there. The reality is, she was on her own a lot. So she ended up going back to Florida, too. For about a year and a half after that, it was just me. I was living at the school during that time.
When talking about how his mom moved back to Florida while Logan was living alone in Europe as a teenager, he told the Players’ Tribune that:
Looking back on everything, I just see all the sacrifices they made, and it means so much. No matter what they were going through, my family always pushed me to keep going. I feel like that was probably the hardest for my mom, especially. She means the world to me. She’s a bit of a worrier too, and overthinks. I think I get that from her. She’s always been the person I could go to when I was doubting myself. So I can’t imagine how hard it must have been for her to encourage me to keep going, when I know she probably wanted our family to be together. I’m really grateful, not only that they believed in me that much, to move our entire family, but that they took my passion for driving seriously enough not to let me give it all up.
While Logan’s personal life may be troubled, his karting career is doing exceptionally well. In 2014, he wins the prestigious SuperNats18 in Vegas:
Infinity Sports Management, Facebook - SARGEANT DOMINATES IN LAS VEGAS. Logan Sargeant produced a stunning display last weekend in the TAG Junior category at the Supernationals race in Las Vegas. After finishing runner up in the race in 2013 Logan was eager to go one better this year and bring home the winners trophy. Although Logan got pipped in qualifying he still managed to win every heat ensuring he would start from pole position for the final on Sunday. From there he kept the lead and came home 5.6 seconds clear of the second driver. With this win in TAG Junior Logan become the first driver ever to win the TAG Cadet and TAG Junior categories at the Supernationals race.
2015 manages to be even more exceptional. Logan starts the season by being the first North American driver to win a WSK event by winning the WSK Champions Cup in La Conca, Italy.
Logan with his mother after winning the WSK Champions Cup.
The season reaches its peak with Logan becomes the first American to win an FIA Karting World Championship, the top junior series, since Lake Speed in 1978.
He gets to go to the FIA Awards:
Logan: And I couldn’t thank my mechanic enough. And also my parents, uh, they really helped me to be able to win the world championship and it’s just an amazing feeling. Interviewer: I mean, did you, did you, what did you do when you found out you won? Did you call your friends at home? Did you phone your grandpa? What did you get up to? Logan: Uh, no, I just gave my mom and dad a really big hug. Interviewer: Is it still sinking in now? Logan: Yeah, it’s, it’s a really emotional thing. [...] Interviewer: Tell me about when you were a little bit younger than you are now. You’re only 14 now. But why racing, why, why is this so important to you? Logan: Um, well, my dad bought me a, a racing kart when I was five years old and we started from there. We thought it would just be like a little hobby and, uh, it ended up becoming like a professional thing we did. So. Interviewer: So, so was there a moment when you, when you or your dad just thought ‘Wow, I’m quick. I can do this’? Logan: Um, well, not really. We just kept progressing and then, um, when we, when we decided to come to Europe to race, um, we moved to Switzerland and from then on we were just, uh, going to school, I started going to school in Switzerland. And, yeah, and then we just kept going and then ended up like this. Interviewer: Do you have any other hobbies? Can you fit anything else in? Logan: Um, well, other than school it’s really hard. But when I get my breaks and I go back to Florida for, um, I like to go fishing a lot and, yeah, that’s what I do. Mostly.
When interviewed after his win, Logan tells kart360 that:
Moving away from home is a very hard thing in your own personal life. You lose all of your best friends. You don’t have your "home" and you have to adapt to a different culture. It is hard to move to a country that speaks a different language than what you know, but racing is so important to me that I stuck through it and kept on going.
Logan clearly struggles on a personal level. He discusses his feelings in his Players’ Tribune article, saying:
Coming up racing as a kid isn’t easy. That’s the most honest way I can put it. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve said to myself, I’m done. I’m ready to come home. I’m glad I didn’t, but there were plenty of times when I wanted to. I remember one big time was the summer right after Dalton went back. We took this trip to the Bahamas with some of our extended family and friends. We were on the water, and everything was feeling like old times. And I think I just had this pit in the bottom of my stomach, like dreading going back. There was a night when I went to my mom, and I was like, “I’m just ready to come home.” I remember her asking me more questions about what I was feeling. I don’t even remember what I said, to be honest. I just remember that she didn’t tell me what to do. She left it completely up to me. My dad used to always say, “If you put in the work now, it’ll pay off eventually — it’ll be worth it.” And he kind of reminded me of that on that trip too. It’ll be worth it. Those four little words … that’s what kept me going. After that I sucked it up, went back to Switzerland, put my head down, and I went for it."

just a tip
pairing: sub!femreader x dom! Heesung and dom! Jay
synopsis: Jay wanted some pointers on how to impress you. What better way then to let his good friend give him some advice or better yet even show him how it’s done
genre (w/tags): smut, minors dni, Threesome, cream pie, jealousy, slight
Word count : 1283
“Sure I’ll give you a hand.” Heesung accepts
“Thanks man . You know I really want to impress her. I think the date won’t be enough.” Jay is excited. he had date with you before but the last few weren’t hitting like he wanted. Was it the sex? Was it the date? He didn’t know but this time he knew it would be good. He recruited his good friend, Heesung. It was very obvious that he had experience. They were roommates and Jay could hear all the times he brought back someone. Heesung always had them begging for more.
“What time is the date?” He asked Jay
“8 and we’ll just come back here.” Jay explained. Heesung gives him a thumbs up.
Honestly the date with Jay was great. Dinner and a walk on the beach was amazing. Jay had liked you for a while, at this point , he was willing to do anything. He brought you back to his place. You know where this was headed. He led you inside and to your surprise candles were lit, rose petals were on the floor leading to his room. Two glasses of champagne was waiting for you two at the door, still cold. You were beyond surprised. He actually put some effort into it. Jay was surprised himself. He didn’t think Heesung would put it together like this. You walk into his room, seeing Heesung still setting things up in his room. You lock eyes with Heesung, like seeing an old friend.
“Wow I never thought I’d see you again” you call out Heesung. He chuckles
“It’s good to see you too” he says back. Jay utterly confused.
“You guys know each other?” Jay questions.
“Yeah we used to hookup” you admit shyly. Your insides burn from the pleasure he would make you feel. Heesung had a feeling it was you, hence why he chose to make Jay look more romantic. He took a bit longer to set up, in the off chance he’d run into you. Heesung’s devious plan worked. Jay didn’t know what to say or do.
“It’s good to see you.” Heesung gives a cocky smile.
“It’s good to see you too you say back with a smile. You feel Jay come up behind you, remembering your date. His chest pressed against your back. Heesung comes closer to you, gripping your face. You, in between both men, unable to choose between the two. Jay accepts the set up, helps you with your dress straps off
your shoulders. Jay starts by placing kisses on the back of your neck, sliding his hands down your body to take off the dress you were wearing. Heesung is examining you while you undress, ready to devour you. Jay unhooking your bra then Heesung slips it off. He then pulls your panties down to your ankles while Jay keeps going with his kisses. Heesung now on his knees before you.
“I miss your taste.” Heesung is looking up into your eyes, his stare so intense it could kill. His thumb caresses your clit. You swallow hard in anticipation. He kisses up your thigh, teasing you, tracing his tongue across your sensitive skin.
“Take notes Jay” he informs his underling. Jay grabs your chin, placing a kiss on your lips. It only pulls your attention away for a moment, until Heesung takes you into his mouth. His wild tongue, exploring you, takes your attention back from Jay. You moan in your kiss. Jay sucks on your bottom lip while grabbing your breasts. The two of them fighting for your focus. Heesung diving deeper into your cunt, you know who’s winning. Your body naturally resists, shaking a bit to his touch but he doesn’t give up. Heesung pulls away to plunge two fingers inside harshly. It was so aggressive it made you cream on his hand. You melt into his touch but Jay doesn’t quit either. Jay gives your nipples a twist, then takes one in his mouth. His tongue swirls around your nipple.
You groan in overflowing pleasure, your hands roam throughout both Jay’s and Heesung’s tousled hair. At this point you’ve accepted them both. Heesung, impatient, pulls you away, leds you to Jay’s bed. He bends you over, swiftly taking off his sweats. Jay is left to fend for himself as Heesung takes control. Heesung slides into your wet pussy vigorously . His sharp thrust catches you off graud but he didn’t care. The immediate bliss he felt entering you was unbelievable. His eyes rolled back, gripping your shoulder for leverage. You two face a mirror. He looked like a Greek god. His chiseled jaw line, his Adam’s apple protruding from his neck. Heesung’s thrusts were short but rough getting to the point, hitting every inch of you.
“Like this.” He says to Jay. Heesung bites his lip, holding his composure as he can feel you around him. He really misses the feeling of you but he needs to prove why he’s better. He pushes his hair back, exposing the sweat on his forehead. He was getting close. He keeps his pace and still violent. You’re getting close too.
“Relax and exhale. “ Heesung instructs you. “Don’t think about anything else”
You obey him and breathe out. He thrusts further than before, hitting your cervix. You feel yourself cumming for him without warming. He feels your juices on him giving Jay a turn. Jay astonished at the act of making her cum so quickly, he was questioning if he could even live up to that. Jay unbuckles his jeans giving you time to catch your breath. He sees you in shambles and is turned on by the thought of ruining you next. He slowly positions himself behind you, floored at how soaked you are. He lunges himself inside, pulling you up to kiss your cheek. Jay waits until you adjust to him, holding you secure. Unlike Heesung, his thrusts were more affectionate, more tender. Jay locked his arms with yours behind your back. You felt defenseless , but enjoyed the sight as you saw him in the mirror now. His strong frame towering you, him not focused on anything but you. Jay put you first. He rotated his hip, making his cock press deeper in you.
“Mmmm Jay I love this” you compliment. His cock twitches inside you. Music to his ears. You praising him. One hand free, he chokes you a bit, pulling your ear to close his lips
“You feel so good baby” he continues with more motion in his thrusts “I’m gonna make you cum all night.” He promises.
Heesung takes a seat in the corner of the room, examining you two.
Jay starts to nibble on your ear as he pumps into you. Your breathy moans while clenching around him is putting him over the top. You cum again, spilling on him. He feels your slick and buries his face in your neck. He groans heavily, while picking up the pace. His cock hitting you so hard, you see it moving in your stomach. His hand lets go of your neck then starts to rub your clit with his thrusts.
You start to cry out, you were close again. He rubs more violently than before causing you to shake. What had came over you was a new feeling. You hadn’t felt like this with Jay before. Something had changed. He rolled his hips against you again causing you to cum aggressively on him. He cums with you filling you up. Both your pants fill the room, getting Heesung hard again. You and Jay collectively collide on the bed. While catching your breath, you feel Heesung standing over you.
“It’s my turn again “ he insists.

A study of wolves: chapter three
chapter one ✩ chapter two
Paul Lahote x Reader
- The previous day -
“Why did we even agree to this study, clearly she is going to notice signs that the wolves around here aren’t always of the typical gray variety?” Paul questioned the tribal council, pacing at the foot of the meeting table.
“Son we didn’t have a choice, the majority of the land you boys protect falls out of the reservation. It was going ahead anyway, so it made sense to at least have someone from the council always there to steer clear of anything suspicious,” Billy placated, hands up in surrender to the clearly riled man.
“Billy’s right Paul,” Sam chimed in “there wasn’t an option. Plus this way we get income from the cabin and a guide. You know we need this to complete the maintenance on the school.”
“So you are okay with us becoming a study? Because we all know between the cameras and her field observation training we’re fucked. There is no way we can always play it safe with these cold ones lurking around, a mistake is inevitable.”
“Son,” Billy continued “it’s not even like it’s an issue anymore. You’ve imprinted on her, so she is one of us now. It’s well within reason to tell her what is going on.”
“No” Paul growled. “That is my choice and it’s absolutely not happening. Some silly idea that she’s my soulmate doesn’t change the fact she is a complete stranger. We don’t how she’ll react, there is no way I’m risking it,”
“You might not have a choice if she catches sight of something she’s not supposed to.”
“This is my only choice, and I’m not letting anyone taking it from me. Not even you.”
Billy sighed, resting his head in his hands. The chief was well aware what Paul’s reservations were really about. “Son, I know you didn’t want this. But please understand this is a blessing from the spirits, fighting this will only hurt you,”
“I refuse to let my choice be taken away, and I refuse to let hers. I will help to keep our secret safe but once this project is over she will leave and life will continue. And I don’t want anyone to try to do anything to change that.”
✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧ ✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧
The sky was clear but the southerly winds whipped ferociously along the cliff face where Paul parked up. The great blue expanse of ocean was mesmerising, stretching out as far as the eye could see. It was in moments like this you felt solace, out of the noise and bustle of large cities. Just the sounds of birds, waves crashing and winds whistling amongst the trees. After taking the moment to ground yourself you made your way over to the truck bed to grab your gear, Paul doing the same with his own bag.
“What’s the plan?”
“Well the most recent report says the last sighting was off this trail here,” you said pointing across the gravel road and to the unsigned trail head. “It happened in a clearing about four miles in so I think we head out there keeping an eye out on the way.”
“Sure thing boss. Anything you want me to keep an eye out for?”
“If you wouldn’t mind looking for prints, the ground should be pretty muddy under the vegetation cover so anything that’s been here since the previous rainfall last week should have left a mark. I don’t think we’ll actually come across a wolf since they’re nocturnal. But hopefully we can find a good spot for at least one of the cameras,”
✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧ ✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧
For the past hour you had been hiking in relative silence. Paul lead the way, keeping a steady but maintainable pace. The trail itself was muddy but relatively flat, and wide enough you didn’t have to squeeze past any bushes. So far you hadn’t spotted anything apart from a wild rabbit that darted across the path in front of you.
Seeing a fallen trunk parallel to the path up ahead you decided now was as good a time as any to have a break.
“You keen for some morning tea?” You called to your companion, who gave you a nod and slowed down.
Perching on the thankfully stable trunk you pulled out the first of the sandwich haul.
“What’s your poison; PB & J or ham and cheese?”
“Whatever one you don’t want,”
“Na-ah, that wasn’t my question now was it. What kind of boss would I be if I just gave my worker scraps?”
“A standard one,” Paul smirked. Before grabbing the ham and cheese sandwich from the lunchbox. “Thanks”
“So Paul,” you began after a few bites of food, “what do you usually do besides leading clueless city girls around the forest ?”
“Thanks for making me sound like a serial killer. Plus I wouldn’t call you clueless,”
“I mean in the serial killer equation I think I’d rather be clueless. Would be worse if I willingly followed a killer into the middle of nowhere. Now answer the question idiot,” you laughed affectionately.
“Whatever the council needs really. Usually some form of construction or land maintenance,”
“Do you enjoy it? I imagine it’s nice to be working with your hands and doing something different every day?”
“I do. It’s not what I had anticipated doing, but it keeps me busy. I don’t think I could ever work in an office.”
“What did you think you’ll be doing?” You paused a second, and realised you may be getting too intrusive with someone you didn’t know. Something about Paul just made you want to dig into what made him…well him. “Sorry you don’t have to answer that. I’ll just shut up,”
“Don’t worry [y/n], it’s fine. But you have to swear you won’t tell anyone,”
“I solemnly swear,” you declared grabbing his left pinkie with your right.
“Child,” Pull laughed, before wrapping his pinkie around your own. “I also thought by now I’d be travelling the country. Maybe working with animals on my way, at a ranch or something like that,”
“Nothing wrong with that at all. In fact it’s smart, animals are obviously much better than people,”
“Obviously,” he snorted.
“May I asked what changed?”
“Ah just council things really, it’s my duty to the tribe.”
You could tell he was skirting around the answer, but you knew it would be beyond rude to pry any further.
“Well there’s still plenty of time to try something new,” you declared as you swung your backpack on. “Shall we continue future cowboy?”
✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧ ✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧
Hope you all enjoyed xx

Maybanks sister
Part 2, chapter 1- stuck on a boat with my crazy ex boyfriend
Previous chapter , series masterlist
Summary: Rafes gone insane without you, and when he sees you on the boat? He loses his shit. After hanging out with the pogues for a while now, you figure out they’re not as bad as people make them out to be.
It had been weeks since you’ve last talked to Rafe. He had tried multiple times to contact you, on multiple numbers and phones. But it was no use.
You were sleeping when JJ had spam called you before Ricky woke you up.
“What?” You grumbled out. He threw your phone at you.
“He keeps calling you. Tried to answer but then it went to voicemail.”
“Shit.” You mumbled as you picked up your phone, looking at the texts and calls.
“WE NEED YOU”
He had even dropped a pin on his location. Him and his friends had grown used to you now, tolerating you. He tried to defend you as much as he could against them all.
You furrowed your eyebrows when you opened up a voicemail.
“Don’t park close to it. Rafes here. You can sneak in from the back.” He was whispering.
You sighed, parking your car and carefully hopping the fence, coming up behind the 4.
“What are you guys doing now?”
“They captured Sarah. Don’t know where they’re taking her, but it can’t be good.”
“What? Why did they…”
“We’ll catch you up in a little but right now…”
“We have to get on that boat.” Kiara said.
“What? Are you guys crazy?” You said, a little too loud. Jj put a hand over your mouth. “Do you even have a plan?” You whisper yelled when he took his hand back.
“Course we do. First, we have to get past the goon squad…”
“Alright. C’mon.”
But Pope wasn’t moving. “Pope what are you doing?” John B asked.
“I have an idea. Just trust me.”
“No, hey, stop running! We gotta go dude.”
“Trust me man. Go. I’ll meet up with you guys. Go.”
Pope left, you threw your arms up in defeat.
“Oh he’s asking to get killed.” You mumbled when he started firing his fun, a loud and large explosion happening as he ran. They were all distracted as he ran back to you all.
“Look. That containers going on the ship. We can get in that way. Are you with me?” He told John B.
“You’re a genius. Let’s go.” All of you ran for it, running into the shipping container.
“We can’t get out once we get it. It’s a trap-“ you spoke, Jj nodding in agreement.
“You guys don’t have to come.”
“Nothing to lose?” Jj looked to Kiara and you.
You groaned while Kiara said nothing to lose and you were now the only person outside the metal container.
“I have a job to lose. But I’m not letting some fucking kids go on a death mission alone.” You complained as Jj helped you in with a smile on his face.
︶⊹︶︶୨୧︶︶⊹︶
“Sorry bout that, princess.” Rafe said with a smirk on his face as he grabbed you from behind, a hand covering your mouth so you couldn’t scream.
“Told you you’d never get rid of me, didn’t I?” He said in a teasing voice. His grip on your was hard.
“Let go of her!” Jj shouted at Rafe, who looked up at the noise now. He wasn’t leaving this boat without you. You screamed as you trashed against Rafe’s arm and hold, he held you tightly, a knife now held against your neck.
Jj and Kiara had managed to kick him off of you and run for it, knowing that he would win. Taking one last glance at him on the floor, you ran with them.
Then, while the three of you ran, you ran into a man.
“Of course, there’s more of you.” He pulled out a machete.
“Get down on your knees.”
“Yeah, that’s not gonna happen.”
“But me a drink first, dude.” You mumbled as he swung his machete at you, ducking.
“Go, go, go!” You shouted at them, the man tried to swing it at Kiara but Jj was quick to react, hitting him with a door and knocking him onto the floor.
“Where’s John B?” Jj asked.
“John B!”
The man got up, continuing to swing it at JJ, who hit his head when he fell to the floor. You shouted as you ran at him, trying to choke him before he could attack Kiara.
But he elbowed you, and knocked you into the water.
JJ shouted your name, so loud that everyone on the boat could probably hear. Including Rafe, who turned at the sound of your name, and who from afar, could see a body falling into the water.
Without hesitation he jumped in when he saw you face down, unconsciously floating. Kiara followed him, the both of them grabbing you and turning you around so you could breathe.
He cried out your name, carrying your body flush to his own. When you didn’t breathe, he panicked and tears fell down his face, Kiara watching and also calling your name, desperately.
“Stay with me, y/n. Please. Please.” He whispered.
“Where are JJ, kie, and y/n?” John B asked.
“Last time I saw them they were on the other side of the ship!” Cleo said, and they quickly drove over to the sound of Kiara’s and JJs voice.
“Shit.” They spoke when they came closer to your unconscious body, quickly stopping by and helping them put you into the boat.
Jj sobbed, a hand running over his face as he got in the boat next to you, looking down at you.
Rafe turned around, seeing you all leave.
“Give me that gun. Give me it.” He panted, when he had it he stared out at the boat as its engine gave out, spluttering.
“No, no, no.” JJ mumbled, looking at Rafe who held the gun to them. They turned to the engine and tried to get it on.
But then Rafe saw you. He whispered your name quietly, seeing your brother sobbing next to your unconscious body, his mind went to the worst possible thing.
You were dead, he thought. And it was all his fault.
He put the gun down, breathing heavily, his eyes fixed on you.
Finally, the engine started back up and they were back to running. Tears filled his eyes as he watched the boat leave, running a hand through his hair.
“Y/n, please! Please wake up.” JJ continued.
“You gotta wake up.” John B mumbled.
You spit out some water, coughing and opening your eyes, putting a hand to your head.
“What the fuck happened?” You mumbled to yourself when JJ pulled you in for a hug, you struggling to sit up.
He had a hand on your back, helping you sit up now. You stared at him and the rest of them.
“Hi.” He said with a small laugh, wiping away the tears he had on his face.
“That’s the first time I think I’ve seen you cry for me.” You told him, a small smile playing on your face.
He laughed and rolled his eyes, just happy you were back.
“Always looking for attention, huh?” He teased you.
“Whatever it takes, right?”
︶⊹︶︶୨୧︶︶⊹︶
“How is he?”
“He’s stable. He’s sleeping. We have half power but will make the next port in three hours. I’ll have a doctor waiting.”
“Thank you.” Rose said.
“Can I see him?” Rafe asked.
“Yeah, sure yeah.”
“Wait right here, I’ll be right back.” Rose told Wheezie.
“Let me… let me talk to him.” Rafe told Rose, opening the door and shutting it.
“Hey, dad.”
“Hey.”
“You’re gonna be okay, it’s all gonna be good, all right? We did it. All this it is over. It all worked out. I got the cross. We got the gold. We got everything.”
But he didn’t have everything. He lost you in the process.
“We’re done. I got everything.” Rafe said with a small smile.
Ward shook his head. Rafe’s smile faltered.
Rafe knew what he meant, looking down. “We’ll find her. I’ll bring her back for this family. I promise. For our family, dad. It’ll be just like you wanted. But listen, while you’re down, I’m gonna step up.”
Ward nodded at his words.
“I’m gonna… I’m gonna be a better man.” He took Wards hands in his, Rafes voice getting shaky.
“Just like you.”
︶⊹︶︶୨୧︶︶⊹︶
You helped John B, Pope and JJ pull the boat onto shore.
“Y/n, you alright there?” John B asked as you held your head, the spot where it had been bleeding before.
“Yeah. Just a little dizzy.” You shrugged it off.
“Okay, anyone know where we’re at?” JJ asked, you sitting down next to him.
“Deserted beach. Unknown island.”
“Alright, I’ll take that as a no.”
“Hey, I would rather be on this deserted beach that stuck on a boat my crazy ass ex boyfriend.” You said with a scoff.
“This is the lowest we can go.” Pope said, they all turned to him now. “We literally have nothing else to lose. The cross, gone.”
“The gold, gone.”
“Seriously, if we had a nickel for every time we got beat up, I’d say we’re at a dollar fifty.”
“That’s more than I got on me.”
“That somehow doesn’t make me feel better.”
“Yeah, you’re right. But I mean… we… we’ve had some good stuff happen, right?”
“Name something.” Pope said.
“Um… the boiler room.”
They all looked at him confused.
“What? If the boiler didn’t explode, I wouldn’t have gotten away from Rafe. I couldn’t have gotten the zodiac and gotten us out of here.”
“Well, because of the boiler room he held a gun to my temple and a knife to my throat. So… I wouldn’t say it’s the best thing.”
“You know what? Guys, this is it. This is the pogue life. We are in the Carribean. It’s our own little slice of paradise.”
“Yeah, a slice of paradise without a shower or bathroom, sure.” You mumbled.
“With my best friends, with my family, and with… y/n, I guess.”
You rolled your eyes at him, throwing some sand at him.
“Kidding. I wouldn’t wanna do it with anyone else.” He looked at Sarah.
“Look, and while you guys were complaining about every little thing…”
“Jj?”
“Hmm?”
“I was looking at those burly lefts.”
A smile spread across JJs face.
“There’s some slabs out there.”
“Just a few. Kie, you see that? I know you wanna get out there.”
“No boards.” She said.
“Well, we can bodysurf till we make some boards.”
“Lame.”
“Agreed with Kiara.” You pointed at her.
“Pope? Come on, man.”
“They do look pretty tasty.”
“Oh yes they do.”
“There’s nobody around. We could squat here for a bit.” Pope stood up.
“Kind of belongs to us now, huh?”
“You got a point.”
“Six way split?”
“Poguelandia.” JJ cut in, mocking a posh accent. “I claim thee poguelandia.” He leaned against a tree. “I like the ring of it. I’m gonna make a flag, it’s gonna have a chicken on it. With a coconut bra, smoking a J… in crocs.”
“I could use a J.” You sighed.
“Can we vote on this?”
“Let’s get to work. Let’s start working on provisions. Set up shop.”
JJ came over to you, “what do you say, sis?”
“I say this is by far the most stupid idea you’ve ever had, J.”
He tilted his head. “Welcome back to the pogue life.” He helped you stand up.

͢ all that's left
Jolly sat in the hard plastic chair, staring at the floor, tracing the same crack in the linoleum with his eyes for what felt like the thousandth time. His fingers twitched in his lap, restless with the things he still couldn’t make sense of, the things he didn’t know how to say to her.
It had been two weeks since the accident. Two weeks of waiting for her to wake up, to open her eyes and remember. Two weeks of trying to accept reality and trying to find the right way to tell her the truth—truth that he still couldn’t accept himself.
A deep, hollow ache tugged at him as he glanced toward her motionless form in the bed. Machines hummed softly around her, cables trailing from her body like vines trying to hold her down to this world. Her face was pale beneath the harsh hospital lighting. It was hard to reconcile the vibrant girl he remembered with the frail figure lying in front of him now.
He hadn’t left the hospital much since the crash. Couldn’t. Her uncle hadn’t come, as expected, but there had been friends and other relatives that had come to check on her, that had cried when they’d seen her, that had cried even before stepping into the room, once the news had reached them.
None of it changed a thing.
A faint groan, barely audible, broke the silence in the room. Jolly’s heart leapt into his throat as he snapped his head up.
Her eyelids fluttered.
For a moment, he froze, unsure if he had imagined it. But then her fingers twitched, her lips parted in a faint gasp, and her eyes—those eyes—opened, unfocused and wide with confusion.
He pronounced her name in a questioning tone. Jolly leaned forward, his voice shaky but hopeful, like it might shatter at any moment.
She blinked slowly, trying to focus, her gaze darting around the room in a frantic haze. Her breaths came in short, shallow bursts. Her body seemed stiff, uncooperative, like it wasn’t hers anymore. She stared down at herself, at the tubes snaking into her arms, the bandages, the bruises, the weight of her broken body sinking in.
“Wh–where…?” Her voice was raspy, as if it had been buried somewhere deep, far away. Panic flickered in her eyes as her hands instinctively pulled at the wires tethering her to the machines.
“Hey, hey, it’s okay,” Jolly said quickly, standing now, reaching out but not touching her. “It’s okay, sweetheart. You’re fine.”
She flinched at the sound of his voice, her gaze finally locking onto him. But there was no recognition there, only fear.
“J-Jolly?” she whispered, her lips barely moving.
He nodded, forcing himself to breathe, to stay calm. “Yeah, it’s me. Hold on, I’ll get the doctors.”
He stumbled to the door, calling for a nurse, for anyone. It wasn’t long before they flooded the room—nurses, doctors, people in scrubs with voices too loud and movements too fast. They surrounded her, checking vitals, speaking in hushed tones meant to reassure, but her confusion and panic only deepened.
Jolly stood back, hands shoved into his sweats’ pockets, watching helplessly as they worked. This was it. This was the moment he had dreaded, and it was happening too fast. He wasn’t ready. But it wasn’t about him—it was about her. And Noah.
After what felt like forever, the doctors finished their examination. One of them—a tall man with kind eyes—placed a hand on Jolly’s shoulder as they left.
“She’s stable. It’s good that she’s awake. Take it easy, okay? She’s going to be confused and disoriented. We’ll be back in a while to check on her again. ”
Jolly nodded mutely. Easy? There was nothing easy about this.
The room was quieter now, just the two of them again. She lay back against the pillows, her brow furrowed in confusion, but calmer. She turned her head—even that simple movement hurt like hell—. Her eyes landed on Jolly.
“What… happened to me? Why… why am I here?”
Jolly took a slow breath, pulling up the chair beside her bed. His hands were trembling slightly, but he tried to steady them as he clasped them together. “You were in an accident,” he said softly. “Two weeks ago. A car crash.”
She blinked, processing. Her gaze dropped to the cast encasing her leg, the bruises staining her skin, and the machines still connected to her. She swallowed hard, a flicker of understanding crossing her face. It made sense, even if it didn’t feel real.
“Two… weeks?” she whispered, almost to herself.
Jolly nodded. “Yeah. You’ve been in a coma. But you’re awake now. You’re going to be okay.”
She didn’t respond right away, staring down at her hands. Her face twisted as if she was trying to pull memories from the darkness, but it was like sifting through fog. Then, slowly, she looked back at him.
“Jolly…” Her voice broke a little. “Noah… He was with me. He was in the car too.”
Jolly’s heart clenched, and he felt the blood drain from his face.
He opened his mouth, but no words came. Just the crushing weight of what had to be said, pressing down on him as he tried to gather the courage to speak.
Her eyes widened as the silence stretched on, and the air between them growing impossibly heavy as her heart succumbed to the most horrifying panic she would ever experience; her eyes, unblinking, filling with tears.
“Jolly… where’s Noah?”

Bothersome - Part 3
LAW X READER! (PLEASE SEND MORE REQUESTS 👁️👅👁️)
“Law! Luffy!” You cried out. You watched as the two were thrown from Doflamingo. You were finally in the last battle, finally about to end this nightmare on Dressrosa. You watched as your ex-captain’s sword was tossed to the side. You were injured and struggled to move your aching body, but forced yourself to the sword. “I can make it, we’ll win this,” you whispered to yourself as you reached out to the weapon.
“Woman,” you heard a booming voice over you, causing you to freeze. You slowly turned back, seeing the large warlord loom over you. “You’re in the way,” he said as he picked you up by your hair. “Let go!” You yelled as you struggled.
“Don’t touch her!” Law yelled as he quickly stood up. “Or what? You guys are on your last breath, before you fall over dead,” he laughed as he tightened his grip on you. You screamed as he had you hanging in the air by your locks. “(Y/N)! Don’t hurt her, you bastard!” He cried out. “Huh? Don’t tell me you care about this girl,” Doflamingo cackled. “J-Just drop her, your fight is with me!” He replied.
“No, my fight is with everyone who opposes me. But now I’m interested… seems like you two are close,” he smirked as he placed a finger to your neck. You flinched, “DON’T!” Law screamed. “One move and it’s her life,” Doflamingo smirked. You watched as Law stayed frozen, as he watched you struggle helplessly. You slowly reached down your leg, and grabbed a small knife from your side pouch. “Now Law I’ll give you 10 seconds to stop all of this, if not then say goodbye to your girl,” he laughed.
“(Y/N)!” You heard Luffy’s voice yell. You noticed Doflamingo turned his attention to your captain. This is your chance. You quickly sliced at your locks, allowing you to fall to the floor. As soon as you hit the floor you ran towards the sword. “You bitch!” Doflamingo shouted. “Law!” You yelled as you kicked the sword with all your might towards him. You watched as he quickly caught it, “Thanks (Y/N)-ya,” he smirked. You smiled and began to escape from the battle-
You suddenly felt a piercing pain run through you. You grunted as you looked down to see a puncture wound through your stomach. “L-Law? Luffy?” You called out, before falling to the ground. Before falling you noticed the shocked looks on the captains’ faces. As your vision grew darker you heard distant shouting, before your vision finally went black.
…
“(Y/N)! (Y/N)! Can you hear me?” You heard a voice call out. You slowly opened your eyes, your eyes adjusting to Law looming over you. “Thank god, I thought you wouldn’t wake up,” he said as he pulled you into a tight hug. “Ow, ow… Law too tight,” you said softly. “Sorry, but I’m glad you’re ok, (Y/N)-ya,” he said softly. “Did we win?” You asked. He slowly nodded, “Yes! We did it!” You smiled and now it was your turn to pull him into a tight hug.
You quickly realized how awkward it is to hug your ex-boyfriend/captain. Making you pull away, you then turned your attention to your wound. You were covered in bandages and patches, “Did you patch me up?” Law nodded, “I wanted to make sure you would pull through,” he said. “Thank you,” you smiled. You slowly stood up, and noticed Luffy on the ground passed out. “I should take him to Chopper,” you said. “I’ll help you,” he replied.
The battle was finally over and everyone was patched up. Well… almost patched up. It’s still awkward between you and your ex-captain, just being around him makes you feel all sorts of ways… “God, what the heck is wrong with me?” You sighed to yourself as you sat by yourself on top of a building, viewing all the wreckage. “I don’t think anything is wrong with you,” you heard someone giggle as they approached you. You turned around to see Robin.
“Hey Robin, how’d you find me?” You asked. “Chopped mentioned you were going to go find a place to think. So I just scouted around until I saw you,” she explained as she sat next to you. “Ahh, so what’s up?” You asked. “Nothing much, just wanted to see how you’re doing. You lost a lot of blood,” she said. “I did? I’m not sure what happened after I blacked out,” you confessed. “Well… we don’t know the full story either, but I can take a guess that someone was extremely careful trying to patch you up,” she smiled.
“I see… hey Robin can I ask you something?” You asked as you faced her. “What is it?” She replied. “He really hurt me Robin, but he’s doing all these things and I don’t know… It reminds me of why I fell in love with him back then… but is it right to go back with someone who hurt me?” You asked. “That’s a tough question (Y/N)… on one hand, in your eyes he’s redeeming his past. On the other hand, you’re afraid that he’ll hurt you again. I guess… in the end it depends on you. Are you ready to try again? Can you 100% say that you’re prepared to be in a relationship with him again, and understand the possibilities that could occur?” She asked. “Ughhh… why is this all so complicated?! I wish I was a snail, a snail doesn’t have to worry or think about any of this,” you sighed.
Robin laughed, and slowly stood up. “It’s a tough decision, but it’s yours to make (Y/N),” she said. “Though it seems you might not have more time to contemplate,” she said as she walked away. “Huh?” You questioned, quickly turning around to see Law. Your eyes widened, “Oh… hi,” you said softly. “Hey (Y/N)-ya,” he replied as he walked over to you. You watched as he leaned on the half wall that you were sitting on.
“How are your injuries?” He asked. “Fine, just some pain here and there, but I can’t complain,” you smiled. “That’s good,” he said softly. You both stayed silent, but it wasn’t an awkward silence. More comforting, relaxing. “Law… do you still have feelings for me?” You asked abruptly. “I do,” he replied. “Why? I’m not special or anything,” you said. “I remember really liking your smile, it made me think of another person with a dumb smile…” he said softly. “Dumb smile? How romantic,” you laughed. “But then you would talk and it was even more nonsense, but it was cute… you would laugh and it would be over the dumbest joke ever,” he said softly, as you noticed a small smile on his face.
“Then what made you fall out of love, why did you say those words?” You asked. “To this day I still have no idea… and there’s nothing I can say to excuse it,” he sighed as he stared at the ground. “I ended up hurting the girl that used to make me feel something… And to this day I don’t know why…” he said. “I see,” you said softly. “I know my words can’t be forgotten, but you have to believe me. I still love you (Y/N),” he said as he turned towards you. You both stared into each other's eyes.
You quickly turned your head away, “Y-You’re right… I can’t forget. I’m scared that… that you’ll hurt me again, and that’s not fair to me,” you said. Law stayed silent. “It hurt having to abandon what I used to think was my home, and my friends and family. All because you had a bad day and decided to say something you didn’t mean,” you sighed frustratingly. “How do I know you won’t do it again?” You asked.
“I have no way to prove to you I’ll do better, but I do love you (Y/N). Just one more chance,” he pleaded, as you felt arms wrap around you from behind. “I… alright, I’ll give you one more chance,” you said softly, almost afraid he didn’t hear you.
You felt himself freeze up, “Do you mean it? Do you-“ you cut him off. “But I have some rules…” you said quickly. “Alright, I’m listening,” he said softly, as he held onto you. “I plan to stay with the Straw Hats… for now. I can’t just throw myself into this relationship, I-I don’t fully trust you yet,” you confessed. “I understand,” he replied. “I know what your true goal is from creating this alliance, until then… Until we finally accomplish the goal, you have that amount of time to build my trust back,” you explained. You sat there, biting your lip waiting for a response. “Alright, I can do that. If it means you’ll give me another chance,” he said.
You slowly turned to face him, and wrapped your arms around him. Feeling his arms wrap around you too. You both stood there for what felt like an eternity, just holding each other. “Last chance Law, I’m serious. If you hurt me again you won’t ever see me again,” you said softly. “I won’t let that happen, I’ll prove it to you,” he said as he tightened his hug.
“When’s the last time you acted so lovey dovey?” You joked. “A long time… too long,” he said as he leaned down and softly pressed his lips onto yours. You tensed up, but slowly relaxed into the warmth.
“Ahem,” you both froze as you heard the cough. You quickly looked over to see Robin standing there. “Hi Robin,” you said shyly as you tried to pull yourself out of Law’s grasp, but with no luck. “Hello, you two. Getting comfortable I see,” she giggled. “Haha… yeah,” you laughed awkwardly as you continued trying to squeeze out. “I’m not letting you go anywhere,” Law smirked. You felt your cheeks heat up, and quickly stopped resisting. “Alright…” you blushed.
“Well I’ll leave you happy couple alone for now,” Robin smiled. “Bye Robin,” you waved. You then turned your attention back to the doctor with a frown. “What? I wasn’t done with you,” he said slyly. “H-Huh?” You asked, feeling your face explode. “I’ve missed that look,” he chuckled before pulling you into another kiss. This time you immediately melted into the kiss, excited but nervous about the future.
You wondered how this would end.
