You and Peter had a... complicated relationship, to say the least. Not only had you two been best friends since the third grade, but you had also been sleeping with each other for a year and a half. You guys had make the decision to lose your virginities to each other, and since it went really well, you both thought "why not do this for a while?".
No, you and Peter weren't dating, you were strictly friends with benefits. Honestly, you sometimes didn't understand why you guys weren't official, but then you remembered the conversation that you two had had with each other after the first few times you guys had sex. The conversation about how if sleeping with each other didn't ruin your friendship, dating probably would. Sure, you two still did the same things that you did before you guys had first slept together. Movie nights every Friday after school, hours spent at the carnival with Ned, MJ, and Betty, drives to the diner at 3 am whenever you got bored... only now, they were followed by absolutely mind-blowing sex. It was never awkward after though, like how you originally thought it would be.
You found it funny how you could always tell whenever Peter was horny; the way he would squirm in his seat, how he would move his textbooks to cover the bulge in his jeans, how needy he was, and no many other countless things. You couldn't even remember how many times you'd be watching t.v. on his couch, and he'd just lean over and kiss your neck in the way that drove you crazy, and then you'd end up having fucking incredible sex on every surface of his apartment.
But the times weren't always happy. Sometimes you'd fight. And when you cough, you fought. Yelling, screaming, doors slamming, the whole shebang. You two fought like you were a couple, but you knew you'd never be an actual one, and you kind of liked it that way, if you were being honest. You got all of the sex and the talking and (most) of the good things, all without the commitment (even though you both weren't sleeping or dating other people). And you always had thought that Peter liked it that way too.

"Petey!" You exclaimed, sitting down in front of him at the cafeteria, his eyes moving to look up at you from his phone. "I've got an idea."
"What is it?" He asked, with raised suspicion in his voice, noticing your wicked smile.
"Can we please, please, please go to that abandoned building that we drove past that one time?" You whisper-scream, your eyes darting all around Peter's face, trying to guess his response.
"Absolutely not," He breathes out, laughing quietly. "That place looks haunted as fuck. There's no way in hell I'm going in there."
"But I love scary shit! Please, Peter?" You plead, giving him the best puppy dog eyes you could, but he just looks away from you.
"No way, Y/N L/N." He elaborates, taking a sip of your water that he had stolen from you.
"Come on, Pete." You whined, before lowering your voice, reaching to race small circles on one of his forearms and hands. "I'll do that thing that you like so much." You bit your lip softly, looking up at him through your long eyelashes, knowing that it drives him crazy.
He clenches his jaw, a slight blush covering his cheeks, looking up at the ceiling in thought for a moment before looking back at you, his eyes darkened with lust. "Fine. But only because you're my best friend and you're really good at it."
***
It was about two hours after Peter dropped you off at your apartment that he knocked on your door, his "adventure bag" in his hands.
"Ready?" He asked, holding up two flash lights, an excited smile on his face.
You nodded eagerly, saying goodbye to your parents before grabbing your own bag, meeting Peter out in the hallway. He grabbed onto your hand softly, both of you walking out of your apartment building, matching goofy grins on your faces.
***
"Here you go," Peter laughed, opening the passenger side door for you, shutting it when you were buckled in. "You excited?" He asked after sliding into the car, buckling his won seatbelt.
"Very," You said, laughing slightly as you looked through all of the personal mix CDs that you and Peter had made together, perfectly fitting your matching taste in music. "I can't believe I actually convinced you to go with me."
"I get to spend, like... Wait, three hour drive there, we'll spend, like, two hours there, and then three hour drive back... Yeah, I get to spend eight extra hours with you, so, really, it's awesome either way." He breathed out, looking over at your as you continued flipping through the CDs, looking up at him briefly to smile at him.
"I, uh, I bought some extra stuff from Mr. Delmar's too." He said, reaching into the back seat of his car, grabbing his, what you two called it, adventure bag. "Two sandwiches with pickle, a couple packs of gum, two Cokes, a few waters, and another CD." He says, smiling at you, reaching over to do your handshake, but you just ignored it. Instead, you leaned over the center console, hugging Peter tightly.
He just smiled, hugging you back even tighter, moving his head to kiss you on the cheek before you two smiled even wider, pulling away before starting the radio, Peter pulling out of the parking lot, the GPS on his phone already coming on, telling him to turn left in six miles.
***
"Okay, okay. Uhm... Jennifer Aniston?" You asked, taking a sip of your water.
"Oh, hell yeah. I'd do her in a heartbeat." He says almost immediately, causing you both to laugh loudly.
"Harry Styles?" He asks, switches lanes on the highway as you smile widely.
"Abso-fuckin'-lutely! How could anyone not wanna fuck him?" You both laugh, before Peter's face suddenly turns serious.
"Are you, uh... Are you, ya know, sleeping with anyone else?" He asks, his Adam's apple bobbing as he gulps nervously.
You scoff, slapping Peter playfully on the chest. "No, Pete. I'm shocked that someone as hot as you wants to sleep with me. Besides, I like having sex with you. You're fucking amazing in bed." You giggle quietly, looking at the way Peter's cheeks are flushed a bright red at your praise.
Peter tries his best to not let a cocky smile take over his face. Obviously he knows how good he is in bed. The noises that you make and the praises that you give him are more than enough for him to know what he's doing is good.
"Are- Are you?" You ask, butterflies flying around deep in your stomach. You knew that you and Peter weren't official. But, for some reason, the thought of him sleeping with another girl made you sick to your stomach.
"Nope. I've never even come close to it. I'm comfortable with you, and sleeping with you is always nice. I don't trust anyone as much as I trust you, and you know how important trust is to me." He breathes out, laughing nervously.
You let out a breath that you were holding. If Peter had been sleeping with another person, he would've told you, and you would've been able to tell even before that. You two were best friends, after all. You knew Peter better than you knew yourself, and vise versa.
***
You and Peter had a blast at the old building, and he ended up being glad that you could convince him to go. Well, he would be gone either way just to spend time with you, but it was cute seeing how much you wanted him to join you.
It's never awkward hanging out with Peter even though you two are sleeping together. Well, it's usually never awkward. If it is, it's only ever when he's dropping you back off at your apartment. You never know whether you two should kiss or if you should just do your secret handshake. That was the one thing you could never figure out about Peter; "Does he wanna kiss me? Does he not wanna kiss me? Do I wanna kiss him?" were the thoughts that ran through your brain constantly, and most of the time you couldn't even look into Peter's eyes when he dropped you off at your place.
He was always gentleman though. Especially when you two were having sex. He would always make sure that you were okay, constantly reminding you of how beautiful you were, how good you felt, how much he was enjoying it, while still making sure you were, etc.
Along with the incredible sex, you and Peter had a nearly unbreakable bond... and you weren't sure if you wanted to test how it could break. Peter is the best friend you've ever had. He was always there to listen, to talk, to be your shoulder to cry on, and so many other things. He was your partner in crime, your ride or die, your boyfriend that wasn't a boyfriend... but who knows, maybe you did want to be with Peter. Even you didn't know the answer to that. And you didn't know if you ever would.
***
"I've got some news!" You squealed, sitting down across from Peter at the lunch table, where you always sat. It had been a few days since you and Peter had gone on your little road trip together, and you had already planned to go back again the following weekend.
"What is it?" He asked, smiling when he saw how happy you were.
"Alright... guess who just asked me out to the movies on Friday..." You said, you're eyes blowing wide with excitement.
It took Peter everything in him to not clench his jaw in anger, trying his best to keep a happy smile on his face. "Who?" He asked, one of his hands holding yours and he rubbed his thumb over the smooth skin.
"Brennan fucking Daniels!" You exclaimed, your smile even wider.
"Oh shit! That's awesome!" Peter said, lying to you for the first time in years.
He hated Brennan. Not just because he liked you and you liked him, or the fact that you and Peter were sleeping with each other, but because he was an asshole. Sure, he seemed nice on the outside, but Peter knew just how cruel he could be. Brennan used to live in the apartment next to Peter's, and even though you lived in the apartment right below Peter's, you never really saw Brennan. But Peter saw, and heard, everything. He saw how in the mornings girls would leave Brennan's apartment with tears in their eyes, their sneakers in their hands as they sped down the hallways, not wanting anyone to know that they were crying. He would date another beautiful girl every two weeks, and then he would throw them away just like they were nothing. Brennan Daniels was a player, he always had been and he always would be, and Peter was shocked that someone as incredible as you was going after an asshole like that.
"I'm sorry that I'm missing movie nigh for the first time in... what? Six years? Seven years? But I promise you that I'll stop by your apartment as soon as my date is over. How about we watch The Notebook this time?" You asked, your eyes turning sad slightly, feeling bad that you would miss hanging out with Peter for a few hours.
"It's fine, don't worry about it. Just have fun and enjoy the movie. I'll stop by Mr. Delmar's and grab some snacks, but just take your time." Peter said, putting on his best fake smile. Here he was again, as always, being the supportive best friend that he always was, putting you happiness ahead of his.
"Are you sure, Pete? Because I can reschedule, it's not a problem." You ask, making sure that Peter was really okay with it.
"Positive, just have fun." He fake smiled at you again, trying his best to convince you.
You just smiled, squeezing his hand before turning to talk to Ned, Betty, and MJ, not noticing the small, single tear sliding slowly down the smooth skin of his face, before he wiped it away quickly, leaning forward to join the conversation that you were having with everyone else.
***
"Fuck, Brennan! Fuck, fuck, fuck!" You moaned, your back slamming against Brennan's toned chest as his grip on your waist tightened quickly as his pounded into you at a harsh, rough speed, hitting a spot so deep inside of you that your eyes rolled back as you let out a loud, choked out moan.
"Holy fucking shit. Fuck, are you gonna cum?" He groaned into your ear, his thrusts starting to become sloppier and sloppier as you both came closer to your highs each time he hit deep inside of you.
"Fuck, yes!" You moaned loudly, squealing loudly when he flipped you both, now pounding into even quicker as he looked into your eyes before dipping his head down, biting hard onto your collar bone, the force of his hips slapping against yours was enough for your bed to slam against the wall repeatedly, making you even gladder that your parents were on a date.
"Fucking cum for me, Y/N. Shit!" He groaned, his words only spurring you on further until, with one specifically deep thrust, you came undone underneath him, your walls squeezing him tightly as you moaned loudly, causing him to reach his own orgasm as he quickly pulled out of you, pumping hi cock harshly before he released onto your stomach, moaning out you name loudly as his head went back, before he collapsed onto your bed beside you.
"Fuck," You breathed out, your chest heaving up and down quickly as you tried quickly to regulate your breathing. "That was fucking incredible."
"Yeah. Shit, I thought that you'd be good in bed, but I didn't think you'd be that good." He laughed, looking over at you as he lifted one of his muscular arms above his head, looking over at you before asking you a questions that made butterflies appear in your stomach again. "How many people have you slept with. I know you couldn't have been a virgin before that, you were too good."
"Only one, but I've slept with him a lot before." You breathe out, laughing quietly, before you looked over at Brennan, seeing him start to stand up, gathering his clothes that were scattered all over the floor. "What are you doing?" You ask, trying not to sound nervous.
"I have football practice tomorrow and I need to go home and sleep, but could I see you again sometime soon? I, uh, I had a lot of fun tonight, and I really wanna see you again." He said, slipping his shirt on over his head, pulling his boxers on before he went to your desk, grabbing a towel before walking over to you, wiping his seed off of your stomach for you.
"I'd like that." You said, reaching a hand softly around one side of his neck, pulling his head down to yours, your lips meeting in a soft kiss.
After he got dressed and you threw on a pair of sweats and one of your (Peter's) hoodies, you walked Brennan to your front door, stepping into the hallway before kissing him deeply, your arms wrapped around his neck as you stood on your tippy toes, him leaning down to reach your lips, your figure seeming small compared to his 6'5 height.
"Bye." He said, smiling against your lips before pulling away, clearing his throat loudly when he saw Peter standing at the end of the hallway, his eyes blown wide at the sight of you two kissing in such an intimate way. It made his blood boil and his jaw clench when he saw how you smiled and how happy you seemed when you kissed him.
"Peter? What are you doing here?" You said, raised alarm in your voice. "I'll see you soon, Brennan." You said, waving him goodbye as Peter walked over to you, your body leaning against your front door frame.
"What was all of that about?" Peter asks, watching Brennan as he walked away, only turning to look at you when he saw him turn down the hallway.
"It's nothing, Pete. I thought I was meeting you at your place?" You ask, smiling at Peter, trying to ignore how awkward it was that the guy you were sleeping with caught you with a guy you had just slept with.
"It's late, I didn't want something bad to happen to you." He smiles back, trying his best to cover the pain he felt.
***
"Did you guys have sex?" Peter asked, causing you to turn your head away from his t.v., his tone a serious one, a large contrast to the funny, happy scene that was going on during the movie.
"What?" You ask, laughing, assuming he was joking as you took some popcorn into your hand, your eyes back on the screen as you snacked.
"Did you sleep with Brennan?" He asked, butterflies flying all around his stomach, nervous about the answer.
"Yeah," You shrugged, eyes still following the characters around on the screen. "It doesn't really mean anything though."
"Are you kidding? God, Jesus Christ, please tell me that you're joking." He said, causing you to look at him deeply in the eyes.
"What's wrong, Pete-" You start, before getting interrupted.
"'What's wrong?'?... 'What's wrong?'?! Gee, I don't know, Y/N. Maybe the fact that you fucked goddamn Brennan Daniels. You know he's just gonna leave you, right? He does that with every girl he fucks! And maybe its the fact that you didn't even ask me if you could sleep with him?!" Peter yelled, the first time he's ever yelled at you, his jaw clenched tightly, as he talked with his hands, his leg bouncing up and down, a sign that he was angry.
"Why does it matter so much? It's not like you're my boyfriend!" you snapped back, your body turned to face Peter's.
"What if I want to be? Have you ever though about that?" He shot back, his eyes darkened with anger.
"What are you talking about, Peter?" You said, your voice now back to normal, your eyes blown wide as you tried to make sense of what Peter was telling you.
"Nothing... It's nothing. Get out." He said, his hands going to cover his eyes.
"What?" You asked, your voice breaking at the harsh words coming from your best friend. From the one person that you trusted the most in this world.
"Just get out! Get the fuck out!" Peter screamed at you even louder than before, his hands moving from his face to his sides as he stood up, looking at you right in your eyes.
"Fine." You said, standing up, moving to his front door, slowly opening it, before turning around to look at him again. "Goodbye, Peter." And with that, you left his apartment, quietly closing door, constant streams of tears falling down your face as you desperately tried to wipe them away with the sleeve of Peter's hoodie, his scent that was imprinted on it only making you cry harder.
***
Peter tried to come by your apartment, climbing down the fire escape from his apartment down to yours. He was about to tap on your window until he saw you on your bed; you sat there, crumpled up in a little ball, wrapped in Peter's sweatshirt and your blankets, only your bedside table light on as you cried, your cheeks stained red from your tears.
"Fuck," Peter breathed out. "Fuck, fuck, fuck!" He muttered before walking back up the fire escape again. His eyes stung as tears pricked up in his waterlines, realizing how bad he had fucked up... realizing that he had lost you.
***
You sat with Brennan the next day at lunch, trying to avoid Peter as much as you could, which was hard since you had almost all of the same classes. Of course, the awkward eye contact happened a few time in the following weeks of not speaking to him.
By the third week, both you and Peter had cut everyone off. Even though you were happy with Brennan, and you believed that he truly liked you, you were sluggish and quieter than you usually were. Unless you and Brennan were having sex, you were always bored. You missed the excitement that Peter brought into your life. He was Spider-Man, for Christ's sake, and you missed the way that he would explain his adventures of the day to you, even if most of them were very eventful. You missed the way that his eyes would light up whenever he saw you, or the way his grin would turn cheesy whenever you said a bad, corny dad joke. You missed the way that he made you feel special. Not just durning sex, but whenever you questioned yourself. Whenever you thought  that you looked bad, or whenever you thought that you were stupid because you got a bad grade on a test.
Peter had always been there for you. Ever since you were nine years old. But now you didn't know if you would ever talk to him again. You tried not to think about it much, but whenever a teacher would say something that you could turn into a "That's what she said" joke, you would always curse yourself for looking next to you at Peter, forgetting for just a brief moment that he wasn't your best friend anymore. That he wasn't even your acquaintance anymore. That he was now just some guy that sat next to you in almost all of your classes. In a few months, you knew that Peter wouldn't even exist to you anymore, and that right now, you probably didn't even exist to Peter at all.
***
By this point, it had been two months since you had talked to the only person you had ever trusted with everything in you. You and Brennan had broken up a few weeks after the first time you slept together, and everyone was shocked when they found out that you had broken up with him, not the other way around like everyone had expected, Peter was especially surprised. He thought that you had really liked Brennan. Even if you had liked Brennan as much as Peter and everyone had thought, you knew that you couldn't be with him. Other than the fact that he was obviously cheating on you, you did want to stay with the person that had prompted the fight that had ended your friendship with Peter. Part of Peter wanted you to come back and be his friend again immediately, but the other part of Peter knew that that kind of situation wasn't going to happen. He had shut you out and yelled at you for doing something that he couldn't even really control. After all, he had told you that it was fine for you to go on a date with Brennan. And he had known that you probably were going to sleep with him. You were teenagers, that's what teenagers do.
Peter at this point wasn't even talking to May. It first started when he had quit smiling when they would go get Thai, remembering that it was something you used to join in on. Whenever May would bring you up, Peter's jaw would clench and he'd try and change the subject as quickly as possible. May knew that something was up with your and Peter's friendship after she hadn't seen you for a week. You were either always at Peter's place, he was always at your place, or you guys were always driving around somewhere upstate.
"Peter," May started, walking in front of him as he was seated on the couch, typing away on his laptop as he worked on an assignment for physics. "What happened to Y/N? I haven't seen her in months."
"It's nothing. She's just busy." He dismissed as he continued typing quickly.
"Even when you're both busy, you always find a way to see each other. This is the longest I've seen you be without her since the third grade, Pe-" She said before getting interrupted by Peter.
"I said it's nothing." He said sternly, his voice turning cold.
    "Peter-"
"I said it's nothing, May! Jesus Christ, it's fucking nothing!" He yelled, slamming his laptop closed as he got off of the couch, making his way into his bedroom.
"Peter, you have to tel, me what's going on here. I've never seen you like this. What the hell is wrong?" May asked, concern filling her voice.
"Shit! I love her. God, I love her, May. I can’t stop thinking about her. I can’t do anything. I can’t eat, I can’t sleep, I can’t concentrate. Please… just tell me what to do.” Peter begged, hot tears beginning to stream down his face, his eyes and cheeks turning red from the overload of emotions he was feeling.
"I'm sorry to say it, but you can’t do anything when you love someone like that, Peter. But you have to tell her or you’ll go crazy." She said, her eyes turning soft. She felt sympathy for Peter, she knew exactly what he was going through.
"I don’t want mess up what her and I have. I can’t lose her, May. I can't." Peter chokes out through tears.
"Just tell her how you feel, Peter. And pray that it’ll work out well."
"It’s not that simple, May! It’s more complicated than that! I’m sorry that I’m yelling, but I’m suffocating in my own feelings over here! Either I’m numb or I’m feeling everything, May… I can’t do this, it’s too much." Peter said, sinking onto the floor as he let his emotions take over him. May immediately ran over to him, sitting down next to him on the floor, hugging him tightly as he sobbed into May's neck, his hot tears soaking her striped shirt.
"You need to go talk to her, Peter. As soon as you possibly can, or you're gonna lose it before you can even say her name." ay said, kissing the top of his head as she pulled away, looking at Peter with sadness in her eyes as he tried to wipe some of is tears away with his hoodie, the one that you had given back to him by leaving it in a brown paper bag my his window on the fire escape.
***
You sat on your bed, trying your best to read one of your favorite books in a desperate attempted to make yourself feel better as one of your and Peter's favorite playlists played quietly in the background.
You jumped sightly when you heard the tapping on your window... it had been a while since you had heard it. Butterflies swarmed your stomach when you saw Peter, and you tried your best to wipe away the tears that filled your eyes and that trailed down your face slowly.
You and Peter looked at each other for the longest time you had in two months, both of you not breathing when you unlocked and opened your window, stepping back to let Peter climb through.
"Can I hug you?" He asked, more tears forming in your eyes as you heard him speak to you for the first time in two months.
"Y-yeah." You managed to choke out.
That was all Peter needed to hear before he wrapped his arms tightly around you, both of you immediately sobbing loudly into each other's embrace.
"Fuck, Y/N. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry." Peter said over and over again, your head buried in his chest.
"I'm sorry, Peter. I should've talked to you, I should've asked you. God, I'm so sorry, Pete." You cried, both of your grips tightening around each other.
"No, it's my fault. I overreacted. It's just that... I- I..." Peter stuttered out, his grip around you loosening as you stepped only a few feet away to get a good look at his face.
"What is it, Peter?" You asked, one of your hands going up to cup one of his cheeks, rubbing your thumb around the skin, remembering how much you had missed the smoothness of it.
"I-, I'm just gonna say it because I can't think of any other way to put it... Y/N L/N, I'm in love with you. I'm so in love with you that it hurts. I've been in love with you since we were nine years old, and that's the reason I freaked out about Brennan. I love you so fucking much, Y/N. Jesus Christ, I can't breathe without you, I can't sleep, I can barely even do my fucking homework without you being around me. And I know that yo probably don't feel the same way about me, and that's okay, but-" He breathed out, a weight visibly lifting from is shoulders and he continued rambling, before you interrupted him.
"Peter, shut the fuck up." You laughed, causing him to top dead in his tracks.
"W-what?" He asked, his eyes widening with fear.
"I'm in love with you too, Peter. God, how could I not be? You're the sweetest, smartest, funniest guy I know. And I am so in love with you that I can't even read my favorite fucking book!" You said before stepping closer to him, your arms slowly starting to wrap themselves softly around his neck.
"Can I kiss you?" He asked, his arms starting wrap around your waist, pulling you closer to each other.
    "Please." You breathe out quietly.
And with that, you and Peter kissed for the first time in what felt like forever. Just two dumb and in love kids. You stood up on your tippy toes to deepen the kiss. It was one of those movie kisses... the total sparks flying, butterflies in the stomach kisses. It was one of the main things that you had missed. You missed how perfectly his lips molded to your, like they were two puzzle pieces that could only fit together with the other.
"Peter," You moaned when he started to kiss down your neck, his hands quickly lifting your sweatshirt off of you, you crawling onto the bed when you felt the backs of your legs hit your bed. "Please." You said, Peter's body situated between yours as he kissed your neck, his sweatshirt already discarded somewhere on your floor, your bare chests pressed against each other's.
"Please what?" He smirked against your chest, nipping on your bare breasts lightly.
"Fuck, make love to me, Peter." You begged, your back arching and a moan escaping your lips from the love bites Peter was giving you.
He looked up at you for a few seconds, your eyes meeting his, a soft smile covering your face as you ran your hands through Peter's curly brown locks, missing how they felt against your fingers.
You met your lips with Peter's, telling hi that you wanted him, and he kissed you back, a way of him showing you that it wanted you back.
Peter pulled away after a few minutes, his fingers going to the waistband of your sweatpants, pulling them down, along with your underwear, before sitting back to take his own off. You licked your lips when his member sprung up against his lower stomach. If you both weren't so needy right now, you would've taken your time. But you two needed each other now more than ever.
Peter hovered over you again, his body between yours, is hard length in his hand.
"Ready?" He asked. The things that boy did to you... he always made you feel special, you didn't understand how he did it... it just came natural to him.
"Yes..." You whispered, connecting your lips with his as he slid into you, both of you moaning loudly into each other's mouths.
"Fuck!" You said in sync, your legs wrapping around Peter's waist before he started with a slow pace, wanting to make it last. He knew it probably wouldn't last as long as he would want it to, but goddamn, you felt fucking incredible around him.
"Shit, you're so tight!" He groaned, his head dipping down to kiss your lips tenderly, your lips parting to deepen the kiss as his thrusts sped up, causing you to whimper loudly into his mouth as he groaned.
"Fuck, Peter!" You screamed when he hit a spot so deep inside of you that it made your head spin as your back arched, your chests pressing against each other's even more, the feeling of Peter's skin on yours feeling like heaven.
Even with all of the experience Brennan had, Peter knew how your body worked better than you did yourself. He knew just what to do to get you to come undone underneath him, to have your eyes squeeze tightly shut, to have you screaming him name in only minutes.
"God, fuck," He groaned, his head going to suck deep purple marks into the crook of your neck, loud moans leaving the both of you. "Jesus, I'm already close, baby. I don't know how long I'm gonna last. You feel t fucking good around me."
"Fuck, cum for me, Peter. Please." You begged, your eyes squeezing shut at the feeling of Peter hitting deep inside of you, along with the words and groans coming out of his mouth.
He reached his hand down in between the two of you, rubbing harsh, tight circles on your clit, causing you to move your hands into his hair, tugging harshly as you came closer and closer to reaching your high.
"Fuck, P-Peter! I'm gonna cum!" You screamed, Peter groaning into your ear only spurring you on, along with the sensations on your clit. Within seconds, you were coming undone around him, your walls clenching tightly around his length as your legs tightened around his waist, your arms hugging his body closer to your.
And with only a few final thrusts, Peter was a complete groaning mess, his hips stilling as he came inside of you, his body collapsing on top of yours when his strength completely gave out, his head falling onto your chest.
The next few moments were spent in a comfortable silence, your hands smoothing up and down Peter's arms and back and you both tried to get your breathing to calm down.
"Y/N?" Peter said, looking up at you with his beautiful brown eyes. The sight would melt anybody's heart immediately, you were sure of it.
"Yeah, Pete?" You said, kissing his forehead before meeting his eyes again.
"God, I'm gonna sound like a little kid, but, uh... will you, ya know, be my girlfriend? Just us? No one else?" He asked, his heart rate speeding up a bit out of nervousness.
"Of course, dummy." You laughed, Peter moving up to connect your lips in a soft kiss, both of you feeling completely safe.
"I love you." He said, smiling between kisses.
    "I love you too, Peter."

I would do it all again
Ride or Die Fanfiction (characters and main story belongs to Pixelberry Studios).
Pairing: Mona and MC (Annie)
Information: this takes place after the first book.
Summary: After what happened at the parking lot, each member of the crew tries to build a new life, following the “every man for himself” motto. But Annie doesn’t agree with that and tries to pull them back together, especially Mona, who she has been waiting for too many years.
Warnings: some Angst talk, but not much.
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6
I would do it all again - Part 7 (FINALE)
People weren’t allowed on campus after 10 p.m. The gates were closed, and securities would wonder around, keeping it safe. From what, Mona had no idea, it was just a huge old building with lots of books in it. Even the computers were too old to worth robbing. She just smiled at that vision, not much of a challenge for her. Sneaking in the darkness, the woman found her way to jump over the wall, fast and silent.
In a few minutes, Mona was already walking through the hallways, clever to keep her distance from the windows. Where did you hide… It looked like the classrooms were all empty.
“Library.” Said a man’s voice. It was the janitor, standing next to the restroom’s door. “She likes to stay there. I leave it unlocked.”
She studied him for a moment but nodded her thanks.
Library was on the third floor and had a light on. Of course Annie would hide between books. Mona crossed it like a lightning, following the heart-breaking sound of a soft crying only to find her girlfriend sitting on the corner. She had a huge coat covering her body, probably something kept in the trunk for cold days. Her face was flushed under the yellow light, a few slow tears still rolling down.
Slowly, the Lebanese took a step closer and sat in front of Annie. Nobody said anything for a while, as the girl kept her gaze down, wiping the tears away. It was so quiet there that Mona could swear she was hearing their hearts beating: hers, faster, like a race car; Annie’s, slow, sad, tired.
After what it seemed like an eternity, the sobbing girl took a deep breath and said something.
       “I never meant…”
“I’m sorry.” Mona interrupted. Were her hands shaking? She shoved them into the jacket’s pockets to hide it. “I didn’t want you to find out that way. I didn’t want you to find out at all, actually. You’re right to be upset. I should’ve told you about Ada and our… Short relationship… In prison. You asked me not to fool you and I did. I lied. Fucked it up.”
Annie blinked, her mouth opened, but there was no sound, so the Lebanese took it as a sign and carried on.
“Look, I’m sorry, okay? I really am. You gave me all the time and space to come clean, I guess I was just… I was just…” she roamed her hands through the dark hair, searching for the right word. “Scared.”
Again, silence. The girl fixed her posture, bit her lower lip, but didn’t say a thing.
“I was scared you would leave.” That was barely a whisper. “That this would be too much for you to accept.”
       “I’m not upset about that.”
Mona arched her eyebrows, surprised. “No?”
“No. Of course not. You never promised me anything back then, Mon. I can’t demand or be mad at your for being with someone else. How selfish do you think I am?”
“Wait. So, you’re not upset about Ada?”
“Well, I am bothered that she was standing so close to you today, cause now we are truly dating. But that’s not what really hurt me.” Annie sighed and reached for Mona’s hands. They were warm and squeezed hers in a reassuring way. “I never meant to trap you into a boring life. I don’t want to change who you are, never did. After all of that, I just wanted you to be safe. And that’s all I have. I’m sorry, I can’t keep you safe in a big house, with all the wonderful stuff you deserve. I’m a teacher, a doctorate student, who drives an old car and buys cheap red pens. I’m so sorry. I love you, but I can’t give you what you want.”
That’s when it hit Mona. It wasn’t the part about being together with another woman that made the girl run away. Not jealousy or disappointment.
         She was just feeling small.
“Babe, what Ada said about the things I want or enjoy, that wasn’t true.” The Lebanese let out a laugh of relief. The problem was so much easier. “Gee, is that what’s hurting you? Then look at me, and I’ll repeat it: I want to be here. I want to be with you. I want you and everything related to you. Screw the fancy hotels and jewels. They’re from a part of my life I was dead inside, in rage, alone. I’d trade all of it to run an auto shop with two great friends and a hot girlfriend who sneaks into a freakin’ library when she’s sad.”
Annie had her eyes filled with tears again. But she was smiling. A broad, happy smile. “Do you mean it? Are you sure? Cause if I’m doing it wrong…”
Mona stopped her sentence midway by pulling her into a kiss, straddling that silly, cute girl while making her run out of breath. Now she had the face flushed again, but it wasn’t of crying. “Yeah. Dumbass. I’m sure.”
“So, you’re not sad about living a calmer life from now on?”
“As calm as we can make it. You know problems will follow me forever. I still have to pee in a cup for my parole officer. And Ada won’t leave me alone for too long. You heard it. I gave her my word when we did… It.”
Annie tilted her head, slightly confused. “When she said, ‘when we killed that girl’? I thought she meant you. When she turned you into a high profile criminal.”
“It wasn’t a metaphor.” Mona eyes darkened, but her hands were holding the girl close. She didn’t want to lose her. “Ada had a fight with my cell mate. She suffocated her with a pillow while I… While I was watching. At the door. I didn’t do anything to stop her. It felt like I was frozen there.”
“I’m sorry.” Annie touched her cheek.
“She has been holding it against me ever since. I didn’t do anything to help. I didn’t move. I didn’t…”
“You were in shock. I know you did a lot of bad things in your life, Mon. But you’re not a murderer. That’s why you froze.”
“This will haunt me forever.” Her voice became a whisper again.
“We’ll find a way to get through it. Trust me.”
Mona took a deep breath. Foreheads together, they were losing themselves in each other’s gaze. The Lebanese felt broken in so many ways, and yet somehow, she could find peace in that girl’s face.
“After everything you did for us? I trust you. Blindly.”
“I would do it all again.”
 ---------------------------------------------------------------
“Here’s more beer!” Toby lifted two boxes while walking inside the shop, a credit card hanging in his month.
“Leave it on the fridge and take a cold one for you!” Ximena was sitting on a nice red car’s hood, next to a smiley Annie.
“Nice!” he grabbed a bottle and threw himself on one of those rolling chairs that was left around, spinning closer to them. “The food?”
“Mona’s bringing it.” Said the tattooed girl, stopping him with her foot. “You’ll get dizzy.”
“She’s taking forever. Isn’t the diner just across the street?” Toby took a gulp of his beer, too distracted to notice the expression on Annie’s face.
“Yeah, well, she had a doctor’s appointment today too. Just some check-up. X, do you have the camera?”
         “Sure thing, all set!”
A couple minutes later, the old dusty car, Harold, parked beside the fancy red one. Mona jumped out of it with huge bags of burgers and fries. Ximena gladly took it out of her arms and went to leave them on the table, followed by a hungry Toby. “Finally! I’m starving.”
“Hey, babe.” She gave her girl a kiss on the cheek, pulling her closer by the waist.
“Hi, you. How was therapy?” Annie kept her voice low, careful so they wouldn’t listen.
Mona only rolled her eyes, giving the same answer as always. “Boring.”
But it wasn’t true. She was enjoying it. Well, at least, respecting it enough. Otherwise, the Lebanese wouldn’t be going there again every month for the past year. Annie knew it, but why not let the woman have her tough attitude?
“I bet it was.” She lingered for a while on those dark eyes, before suddenly realizing the noises in the kitchen. “Hey, you two! No eating now! Let’s take the picture first. Just bring the beers!”
Toby showed up with a mouth filled with French fries and two extra bottles on his hands. “He’ ya gu.”
“Did you steal some fries?” Annie shook her head dramatically, pretending to be hurt. “How could you????”
“No, I…” he swallowed the rest of it, taking a gulp of beer to help. “No, I didn’t. Me? A thief? Never! I’m totally against crimes.”
“Alright, timer is set to ten seconds! So, everybody, get into place.” Ximena had put the camera on top of a few boxes carefully positioned in front of the shop. It could frame them together with the neon letters on the top.
Mona took the extra bottles from Toby, giving one to Annie while sitting next to her on the car hood. “Cheers to that. Let’s go, X!”
“Annnnnd, now! Ten seconds!” the tattoo artist ran towards then, sitting on the floor, right in front of the red car, her long arms grabbing each one of the women’s legs. Toby preferred to stay up next to them, sticking his tongue out while his right arm was in the air with the bottle of beer in his hand.
The flash blinded them for a second. The first picture as a group again.
“So?” Mona took a long gulp, throwing an arm around Annie’s neck.
Ximena was still shaking the polaroid. “Patience!”
“Oooh I look like one of those dangerous bass players in a Rock band.” Said Toby, peeking over her shoulders.
         “Here! What do ya think?”
“Nice!” the Lebanese smiled, proud of how hot she looked in that picture.
Annie needed a little longer. She held the photo and admired it for a moment. They seemed so cool. The cars, the pose, the purple neon letters forming the name RIDE OR DIE.
It was just the beginning of their new lives.

Home is Wherever I’m With You (Ch. 1)
Ao3 || Ko-Fi
Neal refuses to leave Emma, escaping into Canada with her to start their lives over. They know as long as they're together, everything will be fine... even if that means running into the past they both tried so hard to escape. (Swanfire primary, minor Snowing/Rumbelle/other ships later)
Tumblr media
“You need to leave her. It’s for her own good.”
Neal balked. Yes, somehow, this dude knew about magic, knew his name, and somehow knew that Emma’s destiny was to break a curse in… wherever the curse had dropped the residents of the Enchanted Forest. But Neal for the life of him couldn’t believe that August was asking him to do the one thing he feared the most.
“No,” he finally said. “I won’t do it. I won’t leave her.”
“But I know your story, Baelfire. I know about your relationship with your father. Surely you don’t want to see him again?”
He almost flinched back at the use of his real name, but he remained steady, staring intently at the other. “I love Emma. I would never leave her behind.”
August glared. “And what about the innocent people that are cursed?”
“I’ll get Emma there. I’ll get her where she needs to go.”
“Why should I believe you?”
“Because I can’t do a worse job than you have of making sure she’s safe. Where the hell have you been the last eighteen years when she was in and out of foster homes and living on the streets? We got a plan in action. We’re going to settle down and live the straight life. And on her birthday… we’ll be there to break the curse.”
“What about your father? I thought you hated him? How can I trust that you’ll really do that knowing your relationship with him?”
Neal bristled, anger growing. “Don’t you dare bring my father into this. My relationship with my father is moot when other people are at risk. I don’t care about my father, but if there are other people in danger… I can’t let them suffer.”
August seemed taken aback by that, and his eyes narrowed just slightly. “There’s seriously no convincing you?”
“No. Not at all. I will protect Emma and lead her to her destiny.”
The thought of it made his stomach twist in a knot, but he knew it was the best thing to do. He couldn’t be a coward, not like his father. He needed to make personal sacrifices to make sure people he cared about were happy.
Wendy. John. Michael. Mr. and Mrs. Darling…
He’d saved them, but at the same time, he lost them too.
He wouldn’t let it happen again.
“Look, I’ll even send you a postcard when we get to Vancouver. I’ll keep in contact with you if it means I can stay with her,” Neal implored. “I don’t want to hurt her like so many other people have.”
August shifted, clearly not having expected push back, but he finally sighed and nodded. “Alright, fine. Just make sure she gets to Storybrooke by her 28th birthday. And keep her safe. You have to promise me that you’ll send me a word when you get there.”
Neal wanted to snap back at him, but he realized how lucky he was getting, and nodded slowly instead, choosing to be polite as he took the business card August had given him. “I will, I promise. Thank you, August.”
“You better hurry back to your car. Emma’ll be back soon,” August said, hopping onto his motorcycle.
Neal rushed back to the bug, turning it on moments before Emma came running around the corner, watches in a bag at her side, and a wide smile of delight.
That damned smile would kill him one day, he was sure.
“I did it!” she cheered, breathless as she dropped into the passenger’s seat, triumphant. “Canada here we come!”
Neal laughed, leaning to kiss her deeply. “You’re brilliant, Emma. I - I still can’t believe you’d risk so much for a criminal like me.”
“C’mon, are you still worried about that? I love you, Neal. You’re the only one that’s really been there for me and hasn’t betrayed me…”
There was something haunted in her eyes, and while Neal had the urge to ask, he knew better not to. And, it was that look that sealed his decision to not leave her.
He wasn’t a coward. Not like his father. He’d keep his promise to Emma, and now, to August. He’d keep Emma safe… and bring her to Storybrooke in ten years.
Taking a deep breath, Neal put the car into drive and sped away from the train station, heading straight for the border.
“How long’s the trip?” Emma asked, relaxing against the sea. “I’ve never been to Canada before.”
“Map says only a couple hours. I picked up a couple late night snacks while you were gone for the ride up,” Neal replied.
“You didn’t have to - ”
“We needed food, Em. We can’t get to Canada on an empty stomach,” Neal laughed. “Besides, we don’t know what kinds of snack foods they have in Canada. This could be the last time you eat a bear claw until we can get to Tallahassee!”
Emma’s eyes widened. “Don’t you dare say that. I can’t live in a country without bear claws!”
He grinned. “Yeah, yeah, I know. I’m sure Canada has doughnut places that sell bear claws.”
“What’s the plan?” Emma asked. “Luckily, I have a passport, but, if you’re wanted here, there’s no way they’ll let you into Canada.”
Neal paused as the city skyline became more distant in the rear view mirror. “I got a passport too. We’ll just have to have faith that we’ll both be let through.”
“I don’t know how to do that…” Emma said softly, flicking the radio on, classic rock bursting from the speakers. “But I’ll try, for you.”
Neal reached to take Emma’s hand with his, using the other to steer. “Hey - look at me. It’s going to be okay. I promise you. Nothing bad is going to happen to us again. We’re gonna go, fence the watches, and we’re gonna start our lives over. No more stealing from gas stations and sleeping in this uncomfortable as shit car. I’m going to get you a cute little apartment in Tallahassee. We’re gonna fly straight from now on. I promise.”
Emma’s hand squeezed his tightly. “I don’t normally pray, but I think this might just make me start.”
Neal smiled. “Whatever will make you feel better.”
All of this was for her. Dropping the Bonnie and Clyde act, going straight, getting her to some town called Storybrooke where he was destined to reunite with his father after three-hundred years.
He just hoped she wouldn’t want something different in the ensuing years.
The drive was quiet, minus the radio, which began to crackle the further they got from Seattle and its radio towers.
“Do you want me to see if I can pick up a Canadian station?” Emma suggested.
“Yeah - if you want.”
Emma hummed softly, fiddling with the radio, before the music flickered back on. Only You, by Yaz.
Neal unconsciously gripped the steering wheel tighter as the words rang in his ears.
“You okay?” Emma asked quietly.
“Huh? Oh… yeah, I’m alright. This song just reminds me of someone.”
“Lost love?”
Neal kept his eyes focused on the road as the signs for the border crossing came into view. “Not exactly.”
“Your dad?”
“ … Sort of. He was as close as I had to a dad for a while.”
“It reminds me of someone too. Someone I thought was my friend.”
He noted Emma’s cheeks had turned a dusty pink, but didn’t say anything. “Sorry to hear that.”
“Yeah. Me too,” she sighed, looking out the window. “The watches are hidden. I made sure to hide the bag in my purse. Hopefully since it’s so dark they won’t search all that much.”
Neal nodded as they got in line. “Just act cool. Like we know what we’re doing.”
“Right.”
As the line creeped along, Neal’s fingers tapped anxiously against the steering wheel. Just a bit longer, and they were free. All they had to do was -
“Evening!” the patrol officer’s voice boomed suddenly. Neal scrambled to roll down the window. “It's a bit late to be coming across!”
Neal laughed a little as he handed him their passports. “Yeah… we had a bit of car trouble that set us back a couple hours. We wanted to get here in time for a late dinner… but instead we had to settle for gas station snacks.”
“Ah, you don’t need to worry about that there’s a 24-hour diner about ten minutes from here, and a hotel as well. How long do you guys plan to be in Canada?”
“Oh - only about a week or two. One last hurrah before we start school, y’know?”
“Oh sure, sure. We’ve gotten a lot of you guys comin’ through,” the guard said, stamping both passports with a smile. “Well, Miss Swan, Mr. Cassidy, you enjoy your time here.”
“Thanks. Have a good night,” Neal said, tossing Emma’s passport back to her as the other guard finished his sweep of the bug. Rolling the window up and pulling onto the main road, Neal let out a breathless laugh of relief.
They’d done it. They’d really and truly done it.
He pulled off to the welcome building, exchanging what little cash he had for Canadian dollars, and realized with glee that, just with their cash, they had enough for a proper dinner. Not for a motel room, but food was more important.
That night, they feasted on cheap diner food. Chicken strips, onion rings and grilled cheese, with pumpkin pie for dessert, and black coffee to wash it down. They slept in the bug in the motel’s parking lot, and in the morning, managed to sneak into one of the rooms to shower before they continued on their way to Vancouver.
“Today just feels different, you know?” Emma asked, looking over at him with a wide grin. “It feels like we can just wash everything away once we get rid of these watches.”
“It does. Like the start of the rest of our lives,” Neal said, squeezing her hand and grinning as they drove through the confusing streets of Vancouver. “The pawn shop I looked up in the phone book should be on this road, so keep an eye out for that.”
“There it is! Less Junk 4 U!”
Neal grinned, finding a parking spot and looking at the shop. “Are you ready? After today, everything changes.”
“I’m ready for anything.”
They clasped their hands together when they exited the bug and entered the shop, Neal holding the bag of watches carefully as he approached the counter.
“Hey there! How can I help you both today?” the woman at the counter asked with a wide smile.
“Got a few watches here that belonged to my dad,” Neal explained, letting Emma’s hand go and setting the bag down, carefully taking each watch out.
The woman’s eyes widened as she took in the condition of them, lifting one into her hands delicately. “These are beautiful. Pristine, even! It’s so rare that we get a treasure like this. You’re really sure you want to sell these?”
Neal wrinkled his nose, shrugging a little as if it were a difficult choice. “Yeah, I’m sure. Before he died, my dad and I didn’t have the greatest relationship and I’m not really a watch guy so… I figured someone else would get more use out of them if I brought ‘em here.”
“That’s very kind of you. I know many people who would love to have a Patek Philippe in this beautiful condition. I can give you... $20,000 for them, is that alright?”
Neal and Emma gasped, pretending to be shocked at the price, letting out chuckles of surprise, and Neal gripping the counter hard.
“Twe - twenty thousand? That - that’s amazing! We could do anything we wanted!” Emma remarked. “Ma’am… you’ve just changed our lives.”
She laughed softly, gesturing them over to the register. “Aw, come on now, you’re giving me too much credit. It’s not just about the money, it’s about what you guys intend to do with it.”
“We plan to get an apartment in Tallahassee,” Emma said, although Neal noticed she was beginning to look a little pale. “It’ll be our first time living together.”
The woman hummed, smiling a little as she finished counting out the cash. “Here you are… hey, are you feeling alright?”
“Um. Sorry but do you have a bathroom I could use?” Emma asked, her face going white.
“Of course, just go down this hall, it’s on the right.”
Emma rushed off, and Neal followed, worriedly waiting for her outside. Christ, this was only his second day of his promise to August, and Emma was puking her guts out in a pawn shop toilet! What if something was terribly wrong with her?
Neal fussed with his hands until the sound of the flush graced his ears. Emma looked shaken when she emerged, but otherwise okay.
“That’s better…” she said calmly, popping a mint she’d swiped from the motel desk into her mouth. “Are you ready to go?”
He nodded wordlessly, taking her hand as they moved back into the main area of the store.
“Are you alright?” the employee asked as they approached the door.
“Yeah - sorry about that. We just had too much fried food last night and I think it’s come back to kick me in the ass. Thanks for letting me use your bathroom,” Emma said.
Neal found his voice. “Yeah, and thanks for the money too. You’ve really helped us out today.”
“No trouble. You two have a good day.”
When they were alone, Neal looked worriedly at her. “Are you sure you’re okay?”
“I’m fine, Neal… I promise. Let’s just check into a proper hotel now.”
He smiled, tucking a piece of blonde hair behind her ear. “Whatever you want to do. Maybe we can do a little bit of sightseeing before we go back to the States?”
“I think that sounds fun. It’ll be like a proper vacation,” she said with a grin. “I’ve never been on vacation before.”
“Me either, so I’m glad it’s with you.”
“I love you, Neal Cassidy.”
“I love you too, Emma Swan.”
They kissed before driving off into the Vancouver afternoon.

Runaways With A Milkshake
Summary: A couple days after the storm happened, Max and Chloe are on the road and far away from Arcadia Bay. Both hungry and tired, the duo stops at a run down diner for a meal.
Genre: Fluff-ish. Max has some guilt from the storm, but nothing in the fic gets too dark.
Warnings: There’s a lot of swearing and one casual mention of sex although there’s no actual sexual content in the fic. I would gave it a rating of pg-13 ish.
Ships: Chloe/Max
Notes: This fic was written with the headcanon that Max is autistic. It’s not a big part of the fic, but there is a part in the beginning where Max is experiencing a slight sensory overload.
The heat from the sun brushed up against Max’s skin and blared through her eyes. Max slumped down lower on the old truck seat, trying to avoid the hot sun. The rock music blasted through the old car radio seemed to get louder as Max slid down. To make matters worse, Max began to feel her stomach grumble.
She was hot, tired, hungry, and overwhelmed. Welcome to her sensory hell. Was this the universe’s way of enacting revenge for her choices? She didn’t want to believe it, but maybe it was. Perhaps the tornado’s wrath had been replaced with loud music and hellish heat, both of which were determined to destroy her. A way of saying “you fucked up big time Max” very annoyingly. It seemed to be working, giving her guilt.
The guilt began to weigh even heavier on her when she remembered the town. They had been traveling for days now. Surely they were long gone from Arcadia Bay. But despite being miles away, the destruction stuck with her. She saw a few survivors as they drove away and much like the duo, they seemingly were hellbent on getting out of Arcadia Bay. But Max also knew there were certainly many who were not lucky enough to survive the storm. And the city itself, would surely never recover. The memory would haunt her for life she thought. She began to wonder why she had made the choices she did.
And then she saw a hand turn down the radio and looked over to see her blue haired companion glance at her. Ah, this was why. The destruction was all worth it to be with her. Somehow, being near Chloe made things alright.
Chloe looked over at Max, seemingly concerned. “Are you all right Mad Max? You look like you’ve seen a ghost.”
Max slumped back up on her seat. “Nah I’m just...overwhelmed.”
Chloe pauses for a moment to think then spoke. “Are you...having one of those uh.... sensory overload thingies?”
“Sort of.” Max admitted.
The heat was unbearable truthfully. And the sweat on her skin was starting to really bug her. But she didn’t want to burden Chloe.
“I’m fine.” Max said.
“Ok.” Chloe replied.
After a couple seconds though Chloe changed her mind. “Actually, we’re doing something about this.”
She tossed her water bottle over to Max. “Here, drink up. I put ice in it. It’ll cool you down.”
Max hesitated to grab the water. “But it’s yours”
Chloe paused. “And? We’re in this together Maxine. We take care of each other from now ok?”
Max nodded slightly and then took the bottle.
“Besides.” Chloe said in a softer tone. “I uh owe you a ton. If you hadn’t ripped that photo I’d be....well you know.”
“I don’t even want to think about that.” Max quickly replied.
“Yeah, me neither.” Chloe agreed.
Max took a sip of the water. The cooling water was the perfect remedy for her overheated skin.
Noticing some silence, Chloe intervened again. “Uh anyways, it is hellish out here. And I don’t about you but I’m starving. When I looked at the maps, I think it said there was small town with a diner an hour away. Wanna check it out?”
Max nodded immediately. “Definitely. I’m starving.”
Chloe drove towards the town, blazing through the old road.
Well the trees blurred through the windows as Chloe drove, Max yawned and slowly fell asleep as time passed.
Chloe looked over and smiled, glad to see her companion was finally taking a rest.
An hour finally passed and Max awoke to Chloe tapping her hand.
“Come on sleepyhead, wake up up!” Chloe said.
Max yawned and then slowly opened her eyes. When she looked out the window she saw they were parked near a run down diner with a sign that said “Burgertown.” The area was quiet and stood alone, nearing no other stores or restaurants. The parking was mostly empty, except for a few motorcycles parked the side.
“Do you think it’s good?” Max asked.
“I dunno, but at this point I’m ready to eat anything.” Chloe responded
The two got out of the car and walked into the diner. It was dimly lit and had tacky signs with 50′s style women drinking shakes and devouring burgers. A few motorcyclists with grey hair were drinking beer at the bar table.
A red headed waitress came over to Max and Chloe and seated them at a small booth near the window.
Max looked outside then at the table. It reminded her of when things were calmer and so different. She remembered sitting in a booth just like this at Joyce’s dinner.
Chloe must have noticed the resemblance too based on her wistful facial expression.
Chloe began to speak quietly. “Does it...”
“Yeah.” Max replied, knowing that Chloe was thinking of the same memories.
“I uh...miss it, you know.” Chloe confessed. “When things were simpler. Just the two of us goofing off and exploring. Before the storm truly became so real.”
“I know what you mean.” Max said. “But I was stupid. I used my powers like they were just toys to play with. And because of it, I fucked up everything.”
“You didn’t though.” Chloe argued. “If it weren’t for your powers, I’d be dead.”
“I know and I’m so glad you’re here” Max continued. “But my powers also caused destruction. “
She looked down at her hands, remembering what they could do. What they still could do. “I’ve never using it again. It’s not worth changing the past for it.”
“And you’re right about that. It’s not worth focusing on the past.” Chloe said. “So Max, you need to focus on the present. Focus on us. Stop worrying about what happened. You said yourself, you’re done with your powers. So you can’t change the past. I’m here with you now in this diner. And more importantly, the two us are about to devour some amazing burgers.”
Max let out a small chuckle. Chloe was right, or at least Max hoped she was.
After the conversation ended, the waitress came by to take their orders. Both ordered burgers and just as the waitress was about to leave, Chloe stopped her.
‘Wait!” Chloe yelled.
The waitress turned her head and looked at Chloe.
“Can we get a strawberry milkshake?” Chloe asked.
“Just one? Or two?” The waitress replied.
“One.” Chloe answered. She then grinned. “But bring two straws. We’ll share it.”
The waitress wrote down the order then left.
“Strawberry milkshake?” Max said. “You didn’t have to do that.”
Chloe shook her head. “Nah, but you need some cheering up.”
Max smiled. “You’re sweet.”
Chloe laughed. “That’s the first time I’ve heard that in a long time.”
Moments later, the waitress brought the shake and the burgers to the table. Just as Chloe had requested, there were two white paper straws with bright red stripes on them in the shake.
The burgers smelled delicious but it was the milkshake that looked truly great, with it even having a cherry on the top. Max stared at it lustfully.
Chloe giggled. “You look like you want to have sex with that shake.”
“It looks so good.” Max commented.
“Well go ahead” Chloe said, taking her straw. “Let’s dig in.”
Max took her straw and drank the milkshake. It was super sweet and full of a perfect strawberry flavor.
As she drank, she looked at Chloe. She was drinking away too and as Max looked at Chloe’s blue eyes, it was only then that she realized how intimate the setting was. She realized just then that they were like two cheesy teenagers you saw in movies drinking a milkshake on a date. Despite the cheesiness though the close proximity to Chloe made Max blush.
Chloe blushed too, and then like Max seemed to realize how silly it all was. Chloe giggled through the straw. The odd sound caused by the straw made Max giggle too. Then they both stopped drinking and burst out into laughter, realizing how ridiculous they probably looked.
“I feel like I’m posing for one of the tacky signs.” Chloe said still giggling.
“Me too.” Max agreed.
“Still.” Chloe said, her blush reappearing slightly. “It’s kinda romantic isn’t it.”
“Yeah.” Max nervously replied.
Chloe smiled. “You’re cute when you’re nervous. But you don’t need to be so shy.”
Chloe grabbed Max’s hand across the table and touched it. “We’re together now.”
“You’re right.” Max said. She looked at Chloe’s slight smile. She was so pretty with her messy blue hair and the glimmer in the eyes. She wanted to reach over and kiss her, but she was too shy.
But then she thought of Chloe’s word. Slowly she leaned over and Chloe got closer too. She gave Chloe a slight peck on the lips.
After the small kiss, Chloe grinned. “See? You don’t have to be so shy.”
Max revealed a small smile. She was a little happier, just now. She might not have Arcadia Bay anymore, but she had Chloe. And that was what mattered.

Heartbeat, Heartbreak - B.B (6/8)
Tumblr media
Summary: Three musketeers until you started to fall in love. But, have you been living since then? (Modern!Reader/Bucky Barnes).
Prompt: “That’s disgusting. You’re lucky you’re cute.”
A/N: This for @notimetoblog‘s writing challenge. this was an awkward chapter to write, but i am sticking with it. there are mentions of homophobia, so please be cautious.
Feedback is always welcomed.
Steve looks at Bucky swirling his drink. The papers are signed in front of him, but he been avoiding sending them for weeks. His best friend shakes his head at the end of his story, as Steve can’t help but ask:
“Then why did you even ask her out, to begin with, punk?”
“Because,” Bucky groans out, “Summer of ninth grade, she came back different for camp and I just couldn’t keep my eyes off of her. I kept it together for a whole year, punk! But, then in the ice cream parlor, she looked so cute and sweet, I just had to!”
Steve just laughs at his friend’s desperation, though he had never seen Bucky act like this before either.
“--I really did like her...a lot.”
Sam is surprised to see all the paperwork laid neatly on his desk with James Barnes’ signature on the front page, almost as if mocking him since he tried so hard to close the deal but James wouldn’t do so without talking to you. Sam couldn't help but wonder how much of that Natasha fiasco had pushed him into all this -- for him to just give up what he wanted most of all.
He shows you the completed paperwork after lunch, only to have your frown. Sam is quick to notice that there is fire and irritation in your eyes that he had never seen before. Yes, he had seen you annoyed at people and problems before, but there was a quirk of mocking and emotion that was slowly breaking through and he couldn’t help but be amused at the sudden switch between the two of you.
“That’s great, Sam,” you grin before putting all the paperwork on your desk, “But, I’m gonna have to go one last time, just to make sure everything is ready to move forward.”
“Whatever you say,” Sam states with a shrug and laugh, as you shake your head -- more at ease than he had ever seen you than ever before, even though you were going into the jaws of the shark once more.
Sharon stares at her wife for a long while, as green eyes scan over hundreds of pics she seems to have placed together in her scrapbook. Rosie is down for a nap, as the blond takes a seat next to Nat and brushes her hand over hers. Natasha has never been one to be very open about her emotions -- stating that it was because she was Russian, during one of the early fights in their relationship. However, this wasn’t about her, well not just her but the two people that seem to be sharing the spotlight in one of those pics she was looking at.
“What are you thinking in that head of yours?” Sharon asks sternly but softly as Nat lets out a scoff.
Sharon knew all about what Nat had done -- from what she had seen with Bucky, to talking to her ex once more, and seeing her friend in that little diner that she owned with Clint. Sharon could see it all, but --like so many times before-- she couldn’t understand why.
“Why can’t you let them go?” she asks again, as Nat runs a hand up and down her thigh in anxiety -- the only way she’ll show it before getting up and leaving the room.
Sharon shakes her head before noticing that there is one picture that doesn’t have her wife in it, instead it had just the girl that seems to be haunting Nat and Bucky smiling in front of what looks to be an old ice cream parlor. There is some sloppy writing in the corner in black marker with a heart on the side.
Together forever -- Bucky &...
Blue eyes widen as Sharon starts to put two and two together before getting up and going after Natasha and trying to ease decades-long fears once and for all.
It takes you a few days to build up the courage to head down to good old Brooklyn, you hadn’t been there in quite some time and had always avoided the neighborhood you grew up in since your parents had moved down to Florida after you headed to college. However, that’s where the little building that held the main office to Barnes Pharmaceuticals was located and after psyching yourself up -- you came face to face with the receptionist as she twirled her gum and looked at you with bored eyes.
“Good afternoon, Dot,” you state while reading the name plaque on her desk,”I was wondering if I could talk with Dr. Barnes.”
“He’s a very busy man,” she states with a cooing drawl that reminds you of those girls from Jersey that Bucky hung out with for a while, “I could ask him though if you don’t mind me asking who you are associated with.
You give her a tight-lipped smile, “--with Stark Industries.”
This leads to a quick chain of events of her quickly dialing the phone while giving you a bright smile and James proceeds to run down the hallway. He heaving out deep breathes as he looks at you with those wide baby blues of his, and you give him a smile.
“This is about what Nat told ya, huh?”
Bucky states as you walk side-by-side near the familiar park near the bridge, though it was fuller than usual -- maybe because it was lunchtime. He left his suit jacket back at work and his white shirt was rolled up to his elbows. You had to admit that even after all these years he was still the stuff girls (and now women) dreamed about.
“I am leaning more towards what Rebecca said,” you state as James nods, as you add as a bitter afterthought, “I can’t believe what Nat says, but I’ll take your version of the events with a grain of salt.”
James lets out a scoff at this as you give him a rueful smile. It almost felt like when you and Nat used to get into a fight like kids and he was in the middle of it all then you guys would suddenly make up without his help. Deep down, all three of you knew the other two could live without the third and it had always gripped at you like a cold dread, but they seem to have done perfectly well without you -- at least on the surface level.
“Well, let’s get this bitterness out of the way with something sweet, no?” he asks with a soft smile as you just shake your head, not believing that the two of you had somehow managed to end up in one of your favorite places as kids.
The good old ice cream parlor.
Bucky settles for his usual as you settle for something that he knows you didn’t use to pick as a kid, as the two of you sit near the back. Stan gives him a curious gaze, knowing automatically who you are, but says nothing else as you get down to business -- James knows that you aren’t here to hang out, you’re here to know his version of the truth and move on.
“So what do you wanna know?” James tries to ask in the most normal tone he can muster at the moment, as he watches you take a bite of the ice cream. His head runs with a million thoughts and fantasies of how this could be something else, but it isn’t and his heart stutters due to all the added stress.
“I just have one question for you,” you state as you place your hands down on the wooden table and stare him directly in the eye, “If Rebecca was Nat’s date for homecoming...If I was your date for homecoming, why the hell were you kissing Natasha underneath the bleachers? Why did it look like you guys were dating afterward?”
James wants to be cheeky and say that’s two questions, but at the sight of you letting out a shaky breath and the look in your eyes causes him to break all over again. They had all betrayed you and placed Nat’s safety, along with Becca’s above you -- and for that James still couldn’t forgive himself to this day.
“You’re right about all that, ya know. But nobody outside of my parents and I knew that Becca and Nat were dating. I am sure Mr. Romanoff had some idea, he always knew something was ‘wrong’ with Nat in his eyes, so I faked being her boyfriend so her and Becca could be together. I don’t know why we never told you, maybe he thought you would figure it out eventually...it was stupid. I went as Nat’s date to her house and picked her up before I did you, dropped her off and she left with Becca. I didn’t know Mr. Romanoff had followed us...Nat went crazy and panicked when she finally saw him -- grabbed me when you were in the bathroom and kissed me under the bleachers -- that’s how you found us. Mr. Romanoff said nothing, just smiled and left but I couldn’t go after you knowing that he could come back and hurt one of them. The charade kept going and we never told ya, I guess it was easier that way...but I’m sorry...I really am.”
“So you did it to protect Becca and Nat,” you let out in a shaky laugh, “That sounds like you all right, always needing to protect those important to you, bull-headed and not caring who got in the way. Even me, huh?”
“That's...”
“It’s okay,” you sigh out, resigned to your own fate within his story and memory, “I sort of knew you guys were always going to leave me eventually, I was waiting for it since I was a little kid. I just didn’t think it was going to be in that way, ya know.”
Blue eyes widen at your own admission and how you thought of yourself back then and even now in that way when it came to him and Nat. And there are so many things that he wants to say, but at the sight of the red in your eyes with unshed tears, he freezes and his heart collapses on itself, but you try to be stronger as you brush them away. James just sits there in silence, as he realizes how much he had hurt one of the people he loved the most in all his life, even now.
“I just have one last question,” you ask trying to ignore how your voice cracks just a little, “Why did you ask me out in the beginning then? If you were going to play proxy.”
“I really did like you in that way ,” James declares with a desperation in his voice and look in his eyes that makes you want to believe him, but your heart after all these years doesn’t reciprocate any of those teenaged emotions,” You came back from summer camp shinning and you were the only thing in my head from then on.”
So, he had liked you in some way back then, maybe just like you had liked him and in a brief instant you wonder what it would have been like if everything had gone “ right ” in same way -- that you could have dated and loved Bucky Barnes in the ways you had fantasized and dreamed of. However, you tuck that thought away and keep quiet that you had felt the same.
“Oh,” is all you manage to say, but James knows the gears are turning in your head as you bite your lip -- you don’t believe him and that’s the saddest thing about it all to him, “It is what it is then.”
You take the last couple of spoonfuls of ice cream in total silence, as Bucky just sits there and takes it all in. All those years ago, you would be laughing at a joke he had said or just smiling silently as he and Nat talked about whatever they did back in the day. You were silent now, but in the passing of everything you couldn’t have that anymore and in knowing that this was the end of whatever this had been over the past couple of months.
And in a way, James for all his tenacity and stubbornness knew he had lost you -- everything that he had in the past, over what you had told him, and what he could only realize you thought of him now. He’s lost in his thought when your voice finally calls out his nickname -- for the first time in a long time.
“Thank you, Bucky ,” you state with a small but defeated smile, as blue eyes watch you get up. You’ll give this only last thing to him in a place you both cherished so much once.
He doesn’t allow himself to get another word in, thinking about Pepper Potts’ words as you walk out the door and leave him behind once again, though it was his fault, to begin with. However, this is the happiest he has seen you --in front of him-- in all the months that this has been going on, so he lets it go.
There is nothing left to be said.
“You let the good one go again, kid,” Stan from the other side of the counter says, as he wipes it down before giving James a shake of his head, as if he’s disappointed.
“Yeah, I really did,” Bucky answers back with a subtle crack near the end of his voice, as he takes another spoonful of the chocolate-covered ice cream.
It’s bitter like defeat, but with a slight hint of freedom -- at least for you.
There is a spring to your step for the next couple of days. The merger with Barnes Pharmaceuticals is officially now moving forward with everything Pepper, Tony, and James wanted for it to be and there is word that Philips is officially moving forward with his retirement in the upcoming months, by new year the Mergers and Acquisitions branch of Stark Industries will be under new management -- but, those are all things that will take time. For now, you are looking at something else with Darcy and Jane grinning besides you.
“After all this, you totally deserve it,” Darcy grins, swirling her drink as she watches you click the large blue button -- the tickets are set, so is the Air BNB and the little things along the way. It helped that Pepper came into your office a few days after you meet with James and told you that you needed a break.
“I think the last time you even went on vacation was for my wedding,” Jane hums in a little bubblier than before thinking of only a few years back when she and Thor had their wedding in his home country and she wasn’t lying, as you move to look at your Google calendar marking it all in as VACATION TIME.
You smile at yourself at the sight, like a weight has been lifted off before you break out in a heartbreaking laugh.
“I really do deserve it.”

Starlight
Words: 2358
Ship: prinxiety
Genre: fluff
Summary: 2 in the morning was a good enough time for an adventure, right?
Warnings: mentions of a weapon, and food mentioned
“You’re insane!” Virgil whisper-shouted at Roman when he opened his window. Roman grinned and jumped. His arms tensed as he pulled himself through Virgil’s window. The room was dark, full of purples and blacks. Tons of posters hung on the wall as the cat plushie Roman had gotten him sat by the pile of deep purple and black pillows.
A smile grew on his lips as he pulled Virgil into a hug and spun him around. “I’m not insane! What could go wrong!?” Roman said as he slowly lowered Virgil to the ground. Virgil glared at him, his shaggy black hair was over his light brown eyes. His skin didn’t seem as pale as it usually did due to the black eyeliner already being wiped away. He pressed a kiss to the glaring teen’s nose.
The blush bloomed on Virgil’s uncovered cheeks as he let out a huff. “Well… we could be murdered… or kidnapped… or attacked, or robbed, or spotted.” Virgil listed off. His fingers played with the hem of his oversized jacket. Despite his cute habit, he was glaring up at Roman still and saying it in a harsh tone of voice.
Roman rested his hand on Virgil’s cheek. “We wouldn’t be attacked in any way. There are two of us and we’re strong. It’s going to be okay, My Dearest Emo.” He dropped his hand and walked over to the drawers. Virgil’s switch blade was closed in the bottom draw, he hardly ever touched it. Roman put the blade into his pocket and turned around. “See, I have a weapon. Well be safe.” He stepped closer to Virgil again. “Besides, it’s night, no one will spot us.”
Virgil thought about it for several moments before he rolled his eyes and kissed Roman. “Fine. But if I get murdered I’m haunting you, and if we get spotted I’m denying it ever happened.” Virgil said with a sigh as he wrapped his arms around Roman’s neck and rested his head onto his chest. Roman’s chin rested against Virgil’s head as he let out a sigh and hugged him tightly.
Virgil stepped back and rubbed his thumb over the back of Roman’s neck and tried to fight a smile that threatened to bloom on his lips. “Well, I do believe we have a date to be on.” Roman said as he moved his hand from Virgil’s waist and gestured to the open window. Virgil rolled his eyes and moved his hands away.
He turned around to the corner of his room and pulled on his ripped jeans before he tossed his oversized jacket onto his bed. He had a lilac purple t-shirt on underneath and his hair was rustled from the jacket he took off in a rush. He moved to the mirror and drew some wings really quickly. They were neat and quickly applied out of habit. He turned back to Roman before he walked over to the window.
He peeked over the ledge and frowned. “I still don’t know how you do this easily.” Virgil mumbled. He pulled on his purple converse and slung his leg over the frame. He hesitantly put his foot down on the roof. Roman followed him out and walked down to the edge.
With some quick movements he dropped from the roof and onto the decking’s fence. He kept his hand gripping the gutter as he turned to face the grass and stepped off. The ground was a maximum of a meter drop from where he was standing on the fence. The air was cold against his skin, although only his face was bare. It felt nice and relaxing. The moonlight was casting shadows around the yard and the beautiful garden Virgil’s parents have been grooming since he was young.
“Um… some help… please?” Virgil’s voice broke through his thoughts. It was filled with hesitancy. Roman glanced up to see Virgil clinging on to the window sill, his legs were trembling as the breeze jostled his hair. He glanced around, perhaps Mr Sanders would have a ladder out the back, he’d learned not to question what they did or didn’t have since the day he discovered they had a sledge hammer and not a screw driver. (That wasn’t the first time it had happened, although it was the last time he had questioned it.)
A panicked yelp resonated from the roof. Roman looked up to see Virgil start to slip. He opened his arms and tried to calm down the other teen. “It’s okay. It’s okay, Virgil. Deep breaths. Drop down, I can catch you. It’s okay.” Virgil still seemed hesitant, but he lowered himself to the roof and shuffled over to the edge. Roman could almost hear Virgil’s heartbeat in the silent night. Although it could be his own heartbeat. He could feel his hands shaking, he didn’t want to look away from Virgil to check.
It happened in a flash. Virgil dropped and scrunched his eyes up. Roman tensed for the impact. Virgil opened up his eyes to see Roman looking down at him with a fond smile. “Hello, handsome.” His arms were wrapped around Virgil’s waist and his shoulders. “I told you I’d catch you, although I didn’t expect you to fall for me so quickly.”
“My hero.” Virgil said sarcastically. He pressed his lips against Roman’s in a chaste kiss before he moved out of his grasp and dropped to the ground. He rubbed his hands up his arms to try to stop the goosebumps from blooming on his skin. Roman draped his jacket over Virgil’s shivering frame. It was too large on him, although Virgil still threaded his arms through the sleeves and let the sleeves into sweater paws.
Roman might’ve cared about the cold if his boyfriend wasn’t swimming in Roman’s red jacket with a blush almost as red as the jacket itself. They threaded their fingers together and walked towards Roman’s beat up car. The breeze was nice and Roman couldn’t help but feel overjoyed about the situation. Him and Virgil only occasionally got to be romantic, like in Virgil’s bedroom when his parents weren’t home or under the school bleachers after sport. It felt so secretive for holding hands and sharing kisses. Virgil wasn’t out and Roman wasn’t going to force him out of the closet before he was ready. Even if it meant to had to avoid pulling him close in the hall or kissing the scowl away.
They climbed into the car and Virgil immediately connected his phone and took over the music. Roman grinned as he pulled the car into gear and took off down the street. He winded down his window and turned up the radio as Virgil watched the city lights pass them.
It was quiet and empty, but their small town wasn’t much to look at when it was 2 in the morning on a Saturday. The only people to be seen would be stumbling back from a random pub. Traffic was almost non-existent anyway, so barren streets were nothing to wonder about. Stars littered the sky surrounded by inky blackness. Virgil always loved the night sky. Roman hardly ever saw the appeal, what’s so special about night? Daytime has everyone awake and like colours painting the sky.
Virgil had explained the night with so much excitement that it seemed like the stars had been moved from the sky. He had talked about the peace and the hope. About how the lights were just so gorgeous. Roman nodded and hummed along, but as Virgil stared at the sky and continued to speak about the beauty of it, Roman had found himself unable to look away. Virgil had stopped his rambling when Roman pressed a kiss to his cheek. It had been the first night they had gone out together and had sat in the park after the movie. He still held the day close to his chest and he almost wished he had taken the photo of Virgil when the stars were in his eyes and his smile beamed brighter than the moon.
The drive lasted some time before Roman pulled up outside a 24-hour diner. Virgil didn’t take his hand as they walked inside and sat down. “I didn’t bring money.” Virgil mumbled. Roman gave him a look. “Listen, you pulled me out of the house when I was going to sleep. It’s not like I planned this out.”
He smiled and winked. “I’ll pay, don’t worry.” Roman said smoothly as he rested his hand on the table. Virgil glanced down before he glanced out the window with a blush on his cheeks and rested his foot against Roman’s.
A tired waitress walked over and set down two menus before she walked away. “Time to find out the most expensive thing on the menu.” Virgil said as he glanced at Roman. Roman let out an unprincely sound as Virgil smirked. “You offered.”
They looked over the menu in silence. The diner was a quaint little thing with harsh neon lighting and a 1950’s aesthetic going. The food was good, although Roman figured he’d get something basic, Virgil seemed to have come to the same conclusion. Roman ordered two milkshakes (a vanilla and a chocolate, because he’s not a heathen like Virgil.) and some fries to split.
Virgil’s eyes seemed to be darting around a lot at the beginning before he slipped into a comfortable conversation about a movie he had watched a few days ago and about an interesting fact he’d found somewhere. Roman found a smile growing on his lips as he interjected the odd occasional comment or question. He had slipped into asking Roman about practice and the upcoming play. They were so distracted, they almost missed the food being set down, almost. Virgil immediately started drinking his vanilla milkshake (and occasionally dipping chips into the drink, like a heathen).
Roman drank chocolate milkshake before he pushed it towards Virgil. “Try some.” Virgil rolled his eyes and continued to drink the vanilla. Roman grinned and pulled the vanilla milkshake away from Virgil and took a mouthful. Virgil let out a defeated sigh and drank some of the chocolate. Roman let out a triumphant ‘whoop’ that probably brought far too much attention towards them.
With a blush Virgil pushed the drink back to Roman. “That is disgusting. Give me the heaven back.”
Roman let out a gasp and pulled the chocolate close. Virgil immediately took the chance to take his own milkshake back. “Take it back, you heathen. Chocolate is the most delicious flavour.” Virgil rolled his eyes and glanced outside again. Roman followed his gaze and felt his body loosen. “It’s really pretty tonight.”
“Just like me.” Virgil said without missing a beat. Roman smiled and agreed. The conversation flowed peacefully between them as they continued to relax in each other’s company. The soft music in the diner helped the room feel safe and secure. Virgil had even held his hand under the table. He rubbed his thumb over the pale skin on Virgil’s hand as he stirred his drink with his free hand.
Virgil didn’t meet his eyes as a blush continued to bloom and a smile continued to grow. Roman felt his heart hammer as he tapped Virgil’s hand. “Can I kiss you?” Roman muttered. Virgil glanced around before he nodded. It was chaste and soft, but it was enough to make Roman’s legs turn to jelly and his belly spawn butterflies. He moved back and sat down properly again.
Virgil smiled at him fondly and rested his chin on his hand. The food was mostly gone, but neither teen had made a move to leave. They continued to talk about any subject that popped into their heads, by the time they had moved onto the third tangent, they couldn’t remember what the others were, although it never mattered that much.
At almost an hour the two left the diner hand in hand. They walked towards the car again before they went to the park near Virgil’s house. The field was always quiet and peaceful. They walked to their quiet patch under a nearby tree and sat down together. Virgil took off Roman’s jacket and set it over Roman’s shoulders before he rested against Roman’s chest. “Tonight was nice. Could we do it again?” Virgil asked. A yawn escaped his mouth a few moments later.
“Of course, Starlight.” Roman said with a smile. They kissed for the third time that night. Virgil’s lips were soft against his and seemed to fit with his perfectly. He opened his mouth slightly and moved his hands to Virgil’s hair. The breeze was cool as the only light came from the few stars in the sky and the only warmth came from each other.
Virgil pulled away and rested his head against Roman’s neck. His breath danced across his collarbone and sent a shiver down his spin. He moved his hands down to Virgil’s sides.
They laid against the grass as Virgil pointed out all the constellations he could recognise. They spent hours like that, their arms around each other as they mumbled about stars and each other. Roman listened to Virgil mumble about the plants and star signs as he spoke about the myths behind them. It made Roman’s heart skip a beat whenever Virgil got truly passionate about something.
The sun had peeked over the horizon by the time they finally moved. Roman walked him home and kissed him goodbye at the door. Virgil ducked inside with a smile and the promise that he’ll message him later.
Roman stepped away from the two-story building and watched as the sun continued to paint the sky in shades of pinks and oranges. He couldn’t wipe the smile from his face as he walked to his car down the street. Virgil’s music was still set up in his car as he drove home. The city was waking up to the sound of birds chirping and soft lighting. Roman wanted to share a sunset with Virgil one day, maybe he could make Virgil love the day just as Virgil had made him fall in love with the night.

Who (Dean X reader) pt.2
Tumblr media
*gif credit goes to whoeveryoulovethemost*
Summary: Y/N is brought back to life and when she enters the bunker she finds out that Dean has found someone.
Words: 1589
Warnings: Angst, cursing???
Pronouns: she/her
@ashleygrrrl (I felt like I should tag you in this) and @misz-adrii (I’m tagging you since you seemed interested in a pt 2.)
Part 1
You had begun hunting on your own without the help of the Winchester brothers. You haven’t talked to Dean since the incident happened 5 years ago. Every now and then you will talk to Sam. He sometimes checks up on you to see how you are doing and to make sure you are alright. At first, Sam would call to try and get you to move back into the bunker, but you refused. You told him multiple times that you were fine where you were. You never did tell him exactly where you were. You told him you were in Colorado but never told him which town. You were now back on your feet and had a house of your own.
You no longer participated in credit card scams, because you now work down at the local diner. You were pretty happy and you got over Dean a lot quicker than you would have expected. You moved into your house and got a dog, named Romeo. He was all you needed any more. You told Romeo bye as you were putting on your shoes and walking out your door. You got into your car and drove to work. Work was pretty close, only a few miles away. The diner didn’t usually get a lot of customers. Usually, it was only the usuals. Stacy was handling the front counter as you were working in the back. You have only been at work for a few hours when Stacy ran into the back room. She began rambling on about a couple of guys that were there. Stacy has been trying to play matchmaker with you since you guys first met.
You decided to give her a sense of satisfaction and go out and serve the cute guys. You couldn’t see them too well from where you were standing, but Stacy just gave you two plates of food and sent you over to their tables. You walked down the aisle towards the two guys, when you started to notice something oddly familiar. One guy had his back to you and he had long brown hair. You knew right away that it was them when you looked in front of him and locked eyes with those familiar green ones that you got to know. You could find those green eyes in any crowd. You sort of froze in your spot when you saw him. Walking up to the table you sat down their plates and began to walk away when Dean called after you.
“Y/N, wait.”
“What? I have work to do.” You explained.
“Please, just give me a minute. I’m sorry for what I did. Please forgive me.” He pleaded.
“Fine you are forgiven, now may I please go back to work?” You asked irritatedly. His face fell and he nodded. You took that opportunity to run. You walked back to the counter, where Stacy was waiting. Instead of looking excited, Stacy looked scared. “What was that about?” She asked.
“I have a history with them. I wouldn’t waste my time.” You muttered walking away into the back room again.
*Flash forward*
You had just got off of work and was driving home when your phone began to ring. You reached into your purse and pulled it out. You didn’t look down at the caller Id. You swiped the screen to answer the phone.
“Hello?” You asked expecting it to be Stacy.
“Y/N?” You heard Sam’s voice on the other line. You wanted to hang up. “Please don’t hang up.”
“What?” You asked.
“We are working on a hunt and we need your help.” He explained. You went quiet. “Y/N?” He asked. “Please.”
You audibly sighed. “I guess, Sam. I’m doing this for you. Not Dean.” You muttered.
“Thank you, so much. We are down at the Jackson Motel. Room 21. Meet us there is 20? “ He asked. You weren’t expecting to see them so soon, but you agreed anyways.
“Thank you.” He said again.
“Mmhmm.” You hummed annoyedly. What you didn’t know was that Sam hung up the phone smiling. They didn’t need help, but Sam just wanted you two to make up. You guys didn’t have to get back together, but he wanted you guys to at least get along. You were his best friend, and Dean, his brother. He hated, more than anything, seeing you guys hate each other. Yes, Sam agreed that Dean was a major dick doing what he did, but he also agreed that you may have really dramatic. Sam was worried about you. He really was. He missed you.
You arrived at the motel with 5 minutes left to spare. You sat in your car a while trying to calm yourself down. You were starting to get nervous. The thought of Dean always made your heart start beating quickly. You got out of your car and walked up to the door. You sighed then knocked on the door.
Sam was the one who opened it. “Come in.” He welcomed. You walked into the motel room. They had paper scattered all over the table and Sam’s laptop lit up a portion of the room.
“So, we thought it was a simple salt and burn, but once again we were wrong,” Sam explained and you rolled your eyes.
“Are you sure you guys are actually good at hunting?” You asked mockingly.
“Not really. No.” Dean announced walking out of the bathroom. His hair was wet and slight falling into his face. It’s been a while since he got a haircut. You looked back down at the papers that sitting on the table in front of you.
“May I?” You asked motioning towards the papers.
“Of course. Help yourself.” Sam nodded.
After about 2 hours you realized that they missed a key aspect in this case. There was a little girl who haunted one of the fancy hotels not too far away. They burned her body, but that wasn’t what was keeping her there. It was a small rag doll. It must have been placed into the storage room there, due to the owners being her parents. They most likely didn’t want to part with her doll. You explained everything to the brothers in front of you.
“Well let’s go,” Dean said.
“Right now?” You asked.
“Better now than later.” He explained.
“Alright let me change into my hunting clothes. They are in my car.” You said getting up. You walked to your car and grabbed your bag. You went into their bathroom and changed out of your work uniform and into jeans and a t-shirt, boots instead of small heels. You threw your hair up into a ponytail and walked out. Dean glanced over at you but had to do a double take. You pretended not to notice. The hotel was a few miles away so it wasn’t a very long drive. The 3 of you walked through the front doors. The whole hotel was white and chrome. It was a beautiful hotel. You walked in like you had a purpose and the lady at the front desk didn’t pay you any attention. You met the boys on the top floor where the storage room was located.
Dean was on the lookout in case anyone was to come that way. You found the doll moderately easy. It was in a small box in the back corner of the room. You grabbed the doll and slipped it into your bag. Just as you were walking out you felt a tug on your shirt. The little girl, who was killed was holding onto your shirt.
“Give me back my dolly.” She announced.
You knelt down to her height. “Sweetheart. You’ll have your dolly back soon. I need her for something really quickly. Is that alright?” You asked. She shook her head no.
“Now.” She cried.
“Hey. Hey. It’s alright. I’m just going to clean her up. Maybe make her a new dress. Ok?” You asked.
She thought about it for a moment, before nodding. “Thank you.” You smiled and took the doll. You all left the hotel without any problems. You guys walked outside into the rain and got into the car.
Back the motel, you all burned the doll in the parking lot. It was time for them to go and for you to go too. You said your goodbyes and walked over to your car. Sam went back into the motel room. You assumed that Dean was in there also, but you were wrong. You were just about to get into your car when Dean called out to you.
“Y/N.” He announced as you closed the back door of your car. You turned around to face him. Your back cold against the car. He looked sad and empty. His green eyes didn’t shine like they used to.
“I’m sorry for everything before.” He apologized.
“It’s alright.” You admitted. Your eyes got lost in his. You weren’t expecting him to kiss you, but he did. His lips were pressed to yours and you didn’t even try to pull away, nor would you have wanted to. You wrapped your arms around his neck and held him closer to you as if that was even possible.
“I miss you, so much, Y/N.” He admitted.
“I’ve missed you more than you could ever even believe, Dean.” You whispered into his ear.
“Please take me back.” He begged. You nodded. You didn’t even have to think about it. The sparks you guys just had could have said it all.

So he nods. “Best friends for life.” He agrees.
This Means Nothing to Me by cuteandtwisted ★ Summary: roommates!au; “Do you still think love is bullshit?” Isak asked one night with his head lying on Even’s lap, both of them sprawled on their couch. Or, Even has an epic crush on a boy who he keeps seeing at the diner. A boy who only orders strawberry milkshakes.
Halla-ween by vorfm95 Summary: Isak and Even met at a Haunted House in the amusement park on Halloween. * Isak felt his soul leave his body right then and there. That sweater looks like it came out of my grandma’s closet!” Eskild laughed and shook his head at Isak, “Baby gay, this is fashion. It’ll look great on you, come on. Put it on.” He instructed, thrusting the hanger at Isak, who took it dejectedly. Or, the au where Even is a photographer and Isak is his infuriatingly gorgeous model.
Could Barely Tear My Eyes Away by EvensDramaticShenanigans Summary: And Even just about melted right then and there in his seat. He was almost positive his eyes had been replaced by hearts, and his smile was so big it was starting to hurt. No. Shame on you. You hold your head, baby gay. We are sad and angry so he is blacklisted for the night.” Isak tries to reach for his phone intending to give a piece of his mind to Even but is unsuccessful as Eskild fights Isak like his life depends on it and ends up shoving the Iphone somewhere he knows Isak won’t dare to take it. “Serr?!” Isak gasps as Eskild slips the phone to his boxers and then shrugs his shoulders innocently to inform Isak that he had basically begged for it, so ultimately it was Isak’s own fault his phone was now in Eskild’s boxers.
I’m FALLing for you by Schedazzle Summary: coffee shop!au; Everything looked tinged in gold in this season. He never really knew when it started; was it a certain date? Just a random day? Did it happen gradually? Who knew, it always crept up on Even, one moment everything was green and the next the whole world seemed yellow and cozy and just so nice. Let’s Let Things Come Out Of The Woodwork by ultimatelawrence Summary: uni!au; Okay so maybe Even’s crush is becoming obsessive. Maybe he’s asked around a bit too much about Isak Valtersen. Brave of you.” Isak scoffs, feeling a little more of the tension drain out of his shoulders – even if Even leaning closer does have his heart ratcheting up a beat or two. “Nissen and Bakka aren’t enemies.” Even tuts. “You’re no fun, Isak. This could’ve been a great start to a modern twist on Romeo and Juliet, you know? Two star-crossed lovers meet at a party but their school rivalry is destined to tear them apart.” * If Isak and Even had met at the Bakka party mentioned in 2x01.

Skeleton Key by riyku Summary: This is physiology. A conked-out teenaged boy on autopilot. There’s no intent behind it. It could be the dregs of a dream, or nothing more than the pure creature need to make an ache go away.
I’m Someone You Maybe Might Love by ultimatelawrence Summary: Even could feel it with every inch of his body, whenever he so much as looked at Isak. It was just three words. Eight letters. Even feels like a melting rat under the gaze of what must be some ethereal being, because who looks like that after standing in the same spot under a blazing sun for hours on end? Even’s too distracted to notice that Isak’s eyes have wandered elsewhere, now fixated on something behind his head. He doesn’t move to see what it could possibly be until Isak says, “It looks like one of the giant stuffed frogs from your booth is trying to get away.” “What?” Even furrows his eyebrows, turning his head. The group of teenage boys from earlier has found their way into his booth and are now working together to tear down one of the biggest prizes that hang overhead. “Oh, God. after dark by evenskindness Summary: It’s one of those Friday nights. They’ve had the pre-game at their place with the guys, then moved their way to the actual party of the night and spent hours of just socializing, drinking and smoking with their friends. He doesn’t know when he’s supposed to stop feeling like this.
We Keep This Love in a Photograph by kapplebougher ★ Summary: As he pulled out the last of his books on the bookshelf, one of the scrapbooks came loose and fell to the floor, face up. Isak automatically glanced down at the cover. Morocco - Summer 2017 was written in white ink on the cover in Even’s handwriting. Above it was a picture of the two of them pressed cheek-to-cheek and smiling with a happiness Isak hadn’t felt in weeks. Like we’ve known each other our whole lives,” Isak added nervously. But then Even downed his sixth or seventh drink and leaned across the table. “We might have known each other our whole lives, but I’d fuck you if you asked.” Or Isak and Even are childhood friends who enjoy ruining each other’s chances with exactly everyone else, rewatching the same movies, taking care of each other, and pretending they’re not in love.
we’ve made it this far, kid by everythingislove (narrylife) ★ Summary: The kollektiv had been Jonas’s idea. It was originally part of their plan to conquer the world as they went off to university together—the ultimate bachelor pad with a spare bedroom for hook-ups and a surplus supply of condoms available at any time. It took the death of Isak’s sister to change all of that. Their spare room was converted into a football paradise, every door and cupboard childproofed and any alcohol securely locked away, and in moved five-year-old Felix Valtersen. With four equally irresponsible and clueless uncles looking after him, he’s bound to turn out okay… right? * Or: the one where Isak is just trying to raise his nephew as best he can with the help of his best friends. He doesn’t expect to fall for Felix’s gorgeous football coach along the way.
Always been yours by candysky ★ Summary: Isak and Even are best friends and nothing more. They are also oblivious fools who haven’t realized that they’re in love. Or 3 times their friends notice just how in love Isak and Even are and the one time they take it upon themselves to get them together.
take me as i am by argentae ✓ Summary: coffee shop!au & uni!au; He isn’t crushing, and nevertheless this guy has become a Problem, because whenever he’s on shift he’s made it increasingly difficult for Isak to really spend his time productively. Sure, he could just find another place to study but he likes the access to coffee here even though he actually kind of hates the bitterness of it and he’s just not going to let himself get swept aside because of this guy. In summary: Isak has been suffering. Terribly.
No Chance That I’m Leaving Here Without You On Me by plumclouds ✓   Summary: Isak might just be a cocky little shit. Even might just love it a little (read: a lot).
The trip to you by charlyflowers Summary: Hate to Love!au; Isak hates Even. He hates him with all his heart. What a pity the art class are coming also to the trip to Germany.

Paint My Conscience Gold by EvenbechNeiheim ★ Summary: There’s always Isak, the boy in white and silver. And it’s easy, you see, it’s easy because he already has a road for him laid out. He has gotten his life, even when he hasn’t figured out how to live it. He’s never really broken a rule, never stepped out a foot away from his picket fence box despite the desire he has for it to splinter around him. And then there’s Even, the boy in black and gold. Who wrecks the picket fence box like a tornado, and promises to take Isak’s heart with it.
I Think I Wanna Marry You by mondayblues Summary: fake dating!au; Even’s sister is getting married and Even doesn’t have a date, despite him assuring his mum that he does. He turns to Twitter in hopes of finding someone willing to go with him. What happens when a young man, by the name of Isak, agrees to go with him? Could it be love? Or just another person for Even to pin all of his hope onto? (Or the parallel universe in which Isak replies to a tweet that lands him a ‘date’ with Even.)
Alphabet Aerobics by nofeartina ★ Summary: It starts with something Magnus says. Because of course it does.“I bet you two have the most adventurous sex,” he says and looks at Isak with stars in his eyes. Do they really? Isak’s suddenly not so sure. Or the one where Isak makes them explore sex using the letters of the alphabet.
all I see is you by littlemovie (Lejla) ✓ Summary: coffee shop!au; “Aren’t you gonna ask me why I’m a bad person?” Isak somehow whined and demanded at the same time.Jonas blew out a breath in amusement, which made the dark curls on his forehead move with his breath. “I’m guessing it has something to do with that guy, Even, from the coffeeshop?” Isak nodded his head pathetically. Or, in which Isak pines and Jonas has had enough.
Loving With A Little Twist by EvensDramaticShenanigans ★ ✓ Summary: If someone had asked Isak three years ago how he would be spending his Friday night, he absolutely would have answered: out with the boys, getting smashed, and pretending to be into the girls that threw themselves at him (although he wouldn’t have seen it as pretending back then). Never in a million years would he have answered: lying in bed with his boxers tugged down to around his ankles, his hand and stomach smeared with come- all from watching a cam show- a boy’s cam show, no less. Or the one where Even’s a camboy and Isak just wants to study.
Next to you, is where I call home by LostInAdmiration ★ Summary: childhood friends!au; “Why don’t you start track too? You’d be a good sprinter, I’m sure you’d do great,” suggested Isak.Isak wasn’t entirely sure why he asked - he mostly liked being alone and he barely knew Even - but there was just something about Even that had drawn Isak to him. (When Isak had admitted that a few years later, Even had insisted it was fate, that they were destined to be best friends. Isak just argued that he was a good judge of character.)
tender (is the night) by kittpurrson Summary: soulmates!au; His whole body aches, like he’s regrown his limbs overnight, stretched out muscles he never knew he had.Isak knows, in that moment, that his life has just been turned upside down. “You bonded,” Even’s girlfriend confirms, and the pity in her eyes doesn’t go unnoticed. “Try not to move.” * The one where Isak and Even accidentally soulbond.
I don’t even know your name by skamdeg (hamilfish) Summary: uni!au; The pretty boy from across the street is there, making a coffee. The Right Destination by AifaSkam Summary: “And let me guess, you’re not great at first meetings?” “I’m sorry. My mind was somewhere else.” “Well, sorry for bringing it back here.“ The guy says and extends his hand. “I’m Even.”
Face First by LinksLipsSinkShips Summary: Isak’s blackout drunk and has an unorthodox way of meeting Even.

Tunnel of Love
A commission for one of my all-time favorite Rooker Hookers, @rookerstash-after-dark featuring Alan Pangborn from Dark Half. Get ready for fluff and a date to the Carnival. if you like this story, leave me a tip!
“Y/N, your gentleman caller is here!”
“Marie, stop calling him that!” You shoved your co-worker. “He’ll hear you.”
“What should we call him?” Tom, the line cook, asked. “Your beau? Your future husband? Your man?”
“If I ever die before both of you, I’m haunting your asses,” You said with a smile. “Now hush up.”
Thank god Alan hadn’t heard that. You didn’t want him embarrassed. Yes, you knew Alan had a small crush on you. If there was one thing Alan Pangborn wasn’t, it was subtle. He also wasn’t the best liar when it came to women. Yes, he was talented at getting confessions out of people, but when it came to ladies, he got nervous. You weren’t sure how. Maybe it had something to do with his divorce two years ago.
Sheriff Pangborn was a regular at the Dixon Diner. Everyone in town knew who he was. The town wasn’t that big. But he did his job well, and people respected him. How could they not? Plus, he wasn’t too bad to look at.
“Hey Y/N,” Alan grinned at you.
“Hello Alan,” You placed a napkin on his table. “The usual.”
“Yes please,” He said. “It’s been a long day.”
“Uh-oh,” You put his order in. “How bad?”
“Well Miss Jenkins lost her cat again, so I had to spend at least an hour trying to find Mittens,” Alan began. “Turns out he was just hiding under the porch. Had to give him some tuna to get him out.”
You smiled as you listened. This was the norm for you two. Alan would come in for dinner, get his usual order and then you would ask him about his day. Since the town was so small, Alan was usually stuck with dealing with little town problems like missing cats, helping someone crossing the street or making sure no one stole from the Ma and Pa store on Main Street. You enjoyed listening to him talk about his day though.    “Order up!” Tom said.
You grabbed the plate and placed it in front of Alan.
“One double-decker cheeseburger with sharp cheddar, no onions and extra pickle on the side,” You said. “Want a refill on your cola?”
“Yes. You really are a marvel Y/N.”
You couldn’t help but smile. God, why was Alan so cute? You had known him all your life. The two of you had grown up together. He had lived across the street from you. When you had been younger, the two of you had butted heads. He was a smelly, gross boy and you were a prissy, silly girl. Yet Alan was still kind. One time, some boy had pushed you over and threw dirt in your face. Alan then punched the boy in the face and knocked a tooth out. Thankfully, neither you had gotten in trouble. After that, Alan walked to school and then walked you home.
Throughout the rest of school, you two remained good friends. Now that the two of you were adults, you wanted something more than friendship. You wanted Alan’s affection. After his divorce, you had been thinking about it a lot. Part of you reasoned that since he was single, it was alright for you to make your move. Another part of you thought that it might be too soon despite his divorce happening two years ago. You also weren’t sure if there were rules to this. How long did you wait to ask someone out after a divorce? Was there a certain way to ask them out? Was it bad sportsmanship to do so?
The argument inside your head was driving you insane and the more you thought about it, the more frustrated you became. Alan had always been a constant in your life but if you made your feelings known, what would happen? Would you ruin everything?
   “Hey Y/N?” Alan suddenly asked.
   “Yes, Alan?”
“You know the carnival's in town,” Alan said. “It’s a good one I hear.”
“Oh yeah, I saw! Man, I haven’t been to a carnival in years! Those are always so much fun.”
“Well,” Alan started tugging at his sleeve. “I was thinking of going tomorrow, but I don’t really want to go along. I thought you could maybe come with me?”
Your whole body froze for just one second. You could see Marie and Tom grinning at you like Cheshire cats. Gulping, you turned around ready to answer.
“What do you know! Y/N has tomorrow off!” Tom said. “Isn’t that right Marie?”
“Why yes, yes she does!” Marie turned to look at you. “Y/N, why don’t you go? It could be fun?”
In your head, you reminded yourself to buy both your co-workers nothing but underwear for Christmas. Maybe some socks too.
“That sounds like fun Alan,” You said. “I always love hanging out with you!”
“Great! How about I pick you up at 4pm?”
“Sounds like a plan to me!”
It was a perfect autumn night. Alan parked close to the entrance. Once he parked, he came over to your door and opened it up, letting you out. Alan was wearing some jeans and a striped blouse. It was odd to see him out of uniform, but he looked adorable. You were wearing a knee-length polka dot dress with some leggings and flats. Hopefully, you looked decent. It had been a while since you had been asked out on a date.
However, you weren’t sure if this was a date. It was two close friends going to a place together. Technically, it could be considered a date, but you decided you weren’t going to be heartbroken if it turned out not to be a date.
“Ready?” Alan asked, offering up his hand.
God, he was so cute. Trying not to look like an idiot, you smiled as you took his hand. He smiled, making you almost melt. God, why did he have to be so handsome? He was killing you.
The two of you made your way into the carnival. Alan wrapped an arm around you, making your heart beat like mad. Why did he make you feel giddy like a teenager? Either way, you were going to enjoy this. The first thing you did was one of those silly carnival games. You were shocked when Alan managed to win a prize for you. He had gotten all ten rings on the bottle and was awarded a giant, pink teddy bear that had a bow around its neck.
“Oh Alan, I love it!” You said.
It was big, flashy and cheesy but you were going to treasure it.
“Cute isn’t it?” Alan grinned. “Not as cute as you.”
You giggled, blushing slightly. After that, you went on the carousel. Then, you played a few more games and got your palm read by some old lady pretending to be a fortune teller. She told Alan he would be a doctor who retired by age seventy while you were going to be a fashion model with three kids. After a few more rides, the two of you decided to grab some food. You two managed to find a corndog stand. Once you two had your corn dogs, you sat down at a table.
“Man, I haven’t had this much fun in ages!” You said with a big smile
“Same,” Alan smiled at you. “I’m really happy you came with me.”
“I’m glad you invited me,” You admitted, blushing a bit. “It’s been awhile since I’ve been out with someone.”
“Can I be honest?” Alan said. “I was afraid you’d say no.”
   “What? Why?”
“Well,” Alan sighed. “I thought that you had a boyfriend already. I mean I knew you didn’t, but I couldn’t be sure. I mean someone as pretty as you probably has fellas lined up waiting to ask you out.”
Of course, you didn’t have a lot of guys falling over themselves trying to get your number but the fact that Alan thought that? It was flattering. He had also called you pretty. Again, you felt giddy like a schoolgirl. God, why was he so sweet? You couldn’t believe he thought that you were pretty. Hearing him say that he thought you were beautiful made you feel happy. When was the last time someone had said something so nice to you? You couldn’t remember.
“Um--I know this is kinda silly but--the night is winding down, and I was wondering if you’d like to go on the Tunnel of Love ride?”
Had it been anyone other than Alan asking you, you would have said no. It was really hard to say no to him. He looked so nervous when he asked.
   “I’d love to Alan.”
This was your first time on a Tunnel of Love ride. They were always featured in old-timey carnivals, and you had some a few of them in cartoon shows. Alan helped you get into the seat before sitting next to you. When he sat down, he yawned and wrapped an arm around you. Okay, the move was a bit dated, but you were too happy to care. This date was going so well you weren’t going to ruin it.
The ride started up, and you snuggled close to Alan, leaning your head against his shoulder.
Once you were inside, you felt a bit cold. You shivered, and Alan rubbed your shoulder. God, what a great guy. As the little car, you sat in continued, you heard the music play. You recognized the song as the Bee Gees’ How Deep is Your Love. You glanced over at the classic Romeo and Juliet scene performed by cats. As you continued along, there were dogs dressed up as Sleeping Beauty and her prince, the female dog lying on a pet bed. As cheesy as all of this was, it was adorable.
As the ride continued, you were content to just snuggle up with Alan.
   “Y/N?” He suddenly asked.
“Yes, Alan?” You looked up at him.
He stared into your eyes before kissing you on the lips. It was a short, sweet kiss but it left you stunned. When he pulled back, you could see Alan looking at you hopefully. You smiled and placed your hands on his face. Then, you pulled him forward to kiss him. His arms wrapped around your body as he deepened the kiss. You only stopped kissing because you felt your lungs begging for air. Once you had stopped, the two of you stared at each other before Alan grinned.
“Wow,” He said, his grinning getting bigger. “That was---I mean---wow.”
“I’ve rendered him speechless.” You said with a small chuckle.
“It’s just---I haven’t been kissed like that in ages. It was--wow.”
“Did you get me on the Tunnel of Love just to kiss me?”
“Well, maybe. I was a bit nervous about going for it. I didn’t want to embarrass you.”
“Such a gentleman,” You said, tickling his chin. “So ready for kiss #2?”
   “God yes.”

Fall Adventures
prompt: gif, fall/Halloween, candle lit lantern w/fall trees
pairing: Sam x Reader
Warning: just a whole lot of fluff
Word Count: 2,505
A/N: Hey! So this was for @impalaimagining‘s Favorite Seasons GIF Challenge. I wanted to post this one earlier, but life got in the way: school, work, etc. And I also didn’t get around to writing it until after Thanksgiving, so yeah there’s that *awkward laughing*. Anyways, here it is. I do have words describing the GIF in bold just in case the GIF doesn’t work. I hope you all like it.
If there was one thing about traveling all over America that (Y/N) loved, it was seeing some rather amazing sights that most dream of seeing. Like Manchester, Vermont. They had just finished up a case in Augusta, Maine with a shtriga and they had passed through Vermont on their way there. Now heading back home, as there were no new cases after this one, they decided to check out some local sights along the way. They stopped at a little New England bed and breakfast and got two rooms next to each other.
“Alright, well I’m going to go check out any diners around here. You two go do whatever it is couples do here,” Dean suggested, shrugging on his jacket, and grabbing Baby’s keys.
“I’m sure we can find something to do here. There’s a lot of colonial museums here, maybe we’ll check one out,” (Y/N) replied, slipping on a flannel shirt that was a few sizes too big on her petite frame.
“Is that one of mine?” Sam asked, chuckling as a blush worked it’s way onto her cheeks. She ducked her head, a small smile on her lips as a soft, “Maybe” reached his ears.
“Well that’s cute,” Dean grumbled, shaking his head. Honestly, he found most of what Sam and (Y/N) did was adorable. Like her “stealing” his shirts or when Sam plays with her hair when she’s using his thigh as a pillow, sound asleep. Dean was happy for the two of them. “Well, I’m heading out. Don’t stay out too late you two.”
They watched as he took off and they finished getting ready to head out themselves. Sam was dressed in his usual jeans and plaid, a burgundy red and grey colored one, with his beige jacket thrown over his shoulders. His work boots adorned his feet. (Y/N) chose her dark blue jeans with her brown work boots. One of Sam’s plaid shirts, a blue and green colored one, and a denim jacket over top. She pulled her (h/c) hair into a ponytail and threw on a grey beanie. Sam couldn’t help but smile at (Y/N) and wonder to himself how he got so lucky to have found her. (Y/N) wondered the same thing about Sam. Either way, to two were perfect for each other.
They exited the bed and breakfast and made their way out into the streets of Vermont. Already there were trees with beautiful leaves of red, orange, yellow, brown, and some in between. They lined the streets and sidewalks, the lawns of the passing houses. All in all, it was a lovely fall day with a slight breeze, kicking up the fallen leaves here and there. Hand-in-hand, Sam and (Y/N) wandered around town, checking out the shops and parks.
“Where do you want to head to next?” Sam asked as they sat down for some lunch at this one mom and pop diner.
“I’m not sure. I saw this thing on a flyer about a nature walk in the woods that’s in two hours. You want to check that out?” she suggested as she shrugged off her denim jacket to hang on the back of her chair.
“That sounds like fun. We should do that,” he agreed eagerly. He had a plan in mind and that would just be perfect. Neither one noticed Dean in the back corner of the diner, watching as they enjoyed they food and decided to follow them. If Sam was going to go with this plan of his (he mentioned it to Dean a week ago), then they would want pictures.
After lunch, (Y/N) and Sam paid for their food and went out the door to find the location for the hike. Dean was about to leave when he overheard one of the waitresses talking about Sam and (Y/N).
“Those two were just the cutest couple I have ever seen. The way he looked at her, you could tell he’s smitten about her. Add in the height difference, there’s nothing cuter,” she gushed to one of her coworkers, who simply smiled and agreed. Even Dean knew that was true.
* * *
When they met (Y/N) about four years ago, they couldn’t believe that this young woman, who was literally half their height, had taken down a nest of vampires by herself. She saw Sam and Dean and stated, “Well, if it ain’t the Winchesters. Sorry to steal your hunt boys, but I got it from here.” And she was gone. The two of them didn’t see her again for a few months when another case came around about a haunted house of all things and they ran into each other again. The entire time, Sam couldn’t take his eyes off of (Y/N), having already fallen for the smaller hunter. After they decided to work together on this case, Dean offered her to come with them and that she could stay at the Bunker and come and go if she pleased. To their surprise, she agreed and (Y/N) had stayed with the boys ever since.
About two years into her staying with them, that’s when Dean began to notice that the subtle flirting and lingering eye contact was getting worse and one day he had enough of it. He literally locked the two of them in a room and said, “Either you two figure out what to do about the eye sex or I will.” About twenty minutes later, he unlocked the door to find the two of them in a make-out session and they didn’t even notice him; he just left the door cracked and left them alone. They came out a few minutes later holding hands.
“About damn time. The looks you two were giving each other made me want to scream it in your faces that you each liked each other,” he grumbled, ruffling (Y/N)’s hair and patting Sam’s shoulder as he made his way into the kitchen. He was happy that they found each other.
* * *
Now he just had to find this hike they talked about and wait for the right moment.
Sam and (Y/N) chatted away about anything, their hands swinging between them. As (Y/N) rambled on about some band she liked, Sam just watched as her face would light up, her eyes shinning with joy at the sights around them. He tuned back in when she asked him a question.
“So, what do you think?”
“What?” his eyes widening when he realized he had no clue what she was asking him.
Chuckling, she repeated her question, “I asked what you thought about going to an ice rink one day.”
“Sorry babe. I wasn’t listening. But I think that would be great,” Sam replied, pulling her to a stop just to wrap his arms around her.
“It’s okay Sammy. And I’m glad you think so. Come on, it’s this way,” (Y/N) stated, pulling away from the hug and lead the way to where the hike was taking place. There were families, couples, people who just wanted to get away from everything for a moment were there. There was a tour guide that was leading this large group and they began the hike.
Along the way, there were spots to stop to take photos, to look for bugs if you were kids, and to collect some of the leaves on the ground if that was your thing. Sam and (Y/N) would stop and collect a few of the leaves and take pictures, either of them or just the surrounding forest. Dean was near the back of the group, but he could see them from his spot. He just had to wait for the right moment.
The little group had reached the half-way mark of the hike and they took a break for a few minutes. (Y/N) was sitting next to Sam, her head laying against his shoulder. But something caught her eye.
“Hey Sam. Look at this,” she stood up, dragging Sam with her. There was a small lantern hanging from a wooden post, lighting the path through the woods. Branches had wrapped around the post, the leaves seeming to glow from the lantern light. “Oh Sam, isn’t it beautiful?”
“Not as beautiful as you,” he commented, kneeling behind her. This was Dean’s cue as he pushed his way (politely) through the small crowd.
“You always say that,” she chuckled, turning around to face him, but he was suddenly eye level with her. A gasp left her lips when she was what he was doing, her hands covering her mouth.
“I know I always say that because it’s true. I never met anyone like you before. (Y/N), when we first met, I couldn’t believe my eyes at this beautiful, strong woman. I thought I would never have a chance at being with someone like you, but you showed me that I was wrong. Well, my brother did.” That got a laugh out of her and a few around them.
“But he was right. The two of us just seemed to fit and I couldn’t be happier when you said you’d be my girlfriend. But, I want to know if you’ll make me even happier. (Y/N), will you marry me?” Sam opened the small velvet box to reveal a simple, yet elegant bronze ring. A small diamond in the middle with a design that made it look like a tree branch.
“Yes! I’ll marry you, Sam,” (Y/N) replied, a few tears tracking down her cheeks, her smile growing as he slid the ring onto her hand before standing up and taking her into his arms. She threw her arms around his neck, bringing him down a little as they shared a kiss to the sounds of cheers, clapping, and congratulations. Sam set (Y/N) back down on her feet when they parted, his arms loose around her waist.
“Congratulations you two. I wondered when this was going to happen,” Dean spoke up, walking over to the couple before giving them both a hug.
“When did you get here, Dean?” (Y/N) asked, titling her head in confusion.
“Since the tour started. Sam told me of his little idea and you two happened to stop at the diner I was at. So I figured I’d come along and capture the moment for you two,” he replied, squeezing (Y/N)’s shoulder a little.
“Thank you, Dean,” Sam replied, wrapping his arms around his brother.
“Yeah, yeah. You’re welcome you two. I’ll meet you two back at the hotel while you finish your little nature hike,” Dean replied before turning to walk away.
“No, Dean wait. Come with us. I mean, you’re already here, why not just finish the hike with us?” (Y/N) suggested, holding onto Sam’s arm.
“Alright, alright. You and Sam with the puppy eyes. Let’s just finish this,” he shook his head, walking up to them as the hike restarted. He showed them the photos he took along with the video. By the end of the hike, the two were given a few congratulations and good wishes before they set off for their hotel again. Sam managed to fit his tall frame into the backseat with (Y/N) as Dean drove them back.
Gazing at the ring on her left hand, she smiled as Sam wove his fingers through hers, bringing her hand up to place a kiss on her knuckles. Laying her head on his shoulder, she giggled as he laid his head on top of hers. Dean snuck a glance through the rear view mirror and smiled. For once after what felt like a lifetime, Sam was finally happy and Dean couldn’t be happier for him. His brother deserved this moment. Not to say he didn’t, but he was waiting for the right person to walk into his life. For now, he had everything he needed: his family.
Back at the bed-and-breakfast, Dean headed for his room to change while Sam and (Y/N) walked into their room. Well, more like Sam walked in with (Y/N) in his arms after having picked her up before she could cross the threshold.
“Sam! Put me down! We aren’t even married yet!” she managed to say as she was laughing so hard.
Sam just spun around for a moment before setting her on the bed and kneeling before it. His smile never leaving his face. Reaching up, he slid her beanie off her head before cupping her head in his hands.
“How did I get so lucky to have found you?” he asked, leaning forward to press his forehead against hers.
“Just lucky I guess. I ask myself the same thing all the time. Then I realized that maybe it wasn’t luck or fate or whatever. It was just us and our impeccable timing. That or Chuck had something to do with it, but lets go with my idea,” (Y/N) rambled, laughing a bit with Sam at her small joke (they told her about Chuck and who he was a year after she moved in with them as he just popped into the Bunker one day).
“Alright then, Mrs. Winchester,” he replied with a smirk before pressing his lips to hers. Their lips molded against each others and after a few moments, they broke away to breathe.
“Mrs. Winchester. Well, I definitely like the sound of that, Mr. Winchester,” she stated, running her hands through Sam’s hair.
He could only shake his head a bit before standing up and pushing her back onto the bed. Laying down beside her, Sam grabbed (Y/N)’s hand and pulled it towards his chest.
“I love you, (Y/N). I promise I won’t ever let you go,” he affirmed, showing her the earnest in his eyes.
“I love you, too Sam. And I know you won’t let me go ‘cause I have no plans of letting you go either,” she replied, laying her free hand on his chest where his hear lies. They spent the next half-hour laying in bed, just relaxing and enjoying each others presence. Soon Dean knocked on their door, saying they should go get some dinner. They would share the meal in his room before retiring to their separate rooms for the night. In the morning, they’d leave for home and things would return to normal. The only difference is that there will be a new Winchester to add to the family.
As they went to bed that night, Sam couldn’t help but stare in awe of his now fiance as she fell asleep next to him, curled up in a ball wearing another one of his flannels. Careful as to not wake her, Sam gently laid an arm around (Y/N)’s waist, pulling her flush against his chest. He placed a kiss to her head before settling down beside her for the night.
“Goodnight (Y/N). I love you,” he whispered before falling asleep, thinking she wouldn’t hear him. But before he fully fell asleep, there was a small kiss on his cheek and a softer, “Night Sam. I love you, too”. They both fell back to sleep, happy and safe in each others arms.
