i don’t think it is humanly possible for the Robby-Johnny relationship to be as good as the writers want me to believe it currently is going, but i also don’t think it’s going half as bad as people on here or on reddit say it is, so it is incredibly challenging for me to find posts I agree with about them anywhere

#robby keene #johnny lawrence #cobra kai #like sorry it just wasn’t hard for me to buy that johnny was being more supportive of Robby than Miguel at the tournament #we saw him more upset when he lost Robby than Miguel in the scene where johnny loses the locker room #we hear him yelling it’s okay robby multiple times when Robby flops #in the first fight and the platform fight #them hugging when Robby beats kwon #him defending Robby to Miguel on the plane him going specifically after Robby in the brawl #them living together a lot of the time now #them having a good summer together #johnny clearly still putting in the work despite being given a clean slate w a new baby #like i find it very believable that he gave Robby a pep talk or two lol #it would be nice to see it and i wish we did but it’s just not a stretch to me #it makes perfect sense that Robby doesn’t improve til someone on the actual team backs him as a leader #the break for me is i don’t believe that Robby isn’t still mad or slightly mean to his dad anymore #like he needs to be shitty to johnny onscreen one more time and johnny needs to take it #and then I could buy that they are getting to the point the show wants us to think they’re getting to #I also don’t think they’ll ever have a perfect relationship #and I do completely get why people don’t have good faith built up in their relationship or in Johnny #but it gets to a point sometimes where it feels like people twist the show to make Robby’s life harder or sadder than it already is #his life has already been hard he already has enough depth and making him the perfect victim in the whole show makes him boring btw #I’d also love to read a single post about Robby-Miguel or Robby-Carmen that isn’t blatantly racist #but those posts haven’t been invented yet #it’s awesome to imagine reading one one day though

truly the fact that the cesspool of racism and other nightmarish ghoulery that is the chicago hockey team has a mascot who is my hand to gd named tommy hawk is just the cherry on the racism sundae. the nhl ought to owe me and every other indigenous person out there 20 dollars every time we have to be reminded this monstrosity of an organization is allowed to exist mostly-unquestioned.

no ethical consumption under sports teams etc nobody's teams are gonna be beyond reproach etc but like. some things are worse than other things. for example, having a racist caricature for your logo and a mascot named tommy fucking hawk is worse.

this was their reasoning for why Aemond having his eye cut out isn't deserving of the same anger as Alicent cutting Rhaenyra... I know this is a show about royalty and politics but for a single second can we view children as just children and not pawns in the grand royal/political scheme.

Aemond was a CHILD, can we just give a shit cause he was a child, cause he was maimed, could he be treated with the half decency of just being a kid deserving of at the VERY least an apology?

honestly my gears are grinding over calling Aemond, a child who was just permanently disabled and then asked to be tortured, the SPARE of all things.

That one poll reminded me of how one time in high school one Ms. Pease saw me quietly listening to my ipod in the hallway waiting for my next class and she just ripped it out of my hands. And I was staring in pure dumb shock for like 30 seconds and she was like "are you coming or not." She then proceeded to explain, once we walked the whole fucking school to her shitty little office she shared with 15 other people, that ipods aren't allowed in hallways. Which was news to me on account of everyone had them or cd players. She was known for being horrible for no reason but damn. I wish it was her who got arrested for cocaine

#it was a Spanish teacher. and not even the one I had whom everyone immediately suspected #let this be your sign that if you hate high school kids don't be a teacher #that was my one and only interaction with her miserable ass and I literally hope she died horribly years and years ago #a history teacher who caught me smoking once was sympathetic about my stolen ipod and helped me get it back and she was a literal angel #more of her and less of Pease in the world #people used to joke about the language department's food based names. Like Mr. Crabb and Ms Pease and Mr. Kofi #Mr. Kofi was a native French speaker from Cote D'ivoire. he was my French teacher and he was awesome. And they pronounced his name wrong #I was lucky I got him. We also had a teacher who taught French and Latin and spoke both with the strongest British accent ever #not to disrespect her or anything. She let us watch Gladiator in class. And I told her after like 3 weeks of class I finished the book #and she said ok here's the next one. if you get through that you can move up a whole year and go from Latin 1 to Latin 3/4 #after winter break. and I did do just that and I got the best grades in Latin 3/4 too #at Latin day I was a junior so I didn't get picked for the kartamen team (sp?)#and they lost first round #meanwhile I took multiple choice exams all day. My favorite. and I got 1st 2nd or 3rd place for every single one #so I literally won 10 awards all my myself at Latin Day. Just by taking multiple choice tests. they must have felt so stupid #I received those awards onstage at school the same day I got like 3 or 4 medals for the National Latin exam and the state exam #and the mythology exam #so I went home with like 15 awards that day so fuck you everyone who didn't want a junior on the kartamen team. #‘oh youre just bad at it’ i am bad at it because its bad game design. i rest my case #im not even bad at it. i could definitely clear and 36 star if i wanted to. however i should not have to take 40 shots at thr same content #trying to random luck my way into mashing the right set of buttons and miaculously not getting hit because the hp pools are too high to lose #a single percent of your dps bringing a healer or. for that matter. actually healing.#this is i think why Neuvillette has such a good rep. hes basically invincible at c1 which means you #dont have to retry the same chambers over and over because he keeps getting one-shot. because lets all look into our hearts at this moment #his damage is not that much higher than any other dps character’s damage. he just also heals and fits into the current meta #people used to say the same shit theyre saying about neuvillette about nahida #and once natlan comes out the meta will change once again. hp builds will once again become unnecessary in abyss. bennet will make a #reemergence. overload meta will become real. there will be one character who is good to use in burgeon teams theyll be burgeon nilou. this #is my natlan prediction #part of it anyway #and then we will get shneznaya and there will be a character who does damage based on how high you can get their crit over 100% but they #wont be that meta theyll be like cursed with low modifiers. but nonetheless the meta will change again.#im in a love hate relationship with the genshin meta because it is in a love-hate relationship with itself #board certified my post #board certified metaposting

how to explain that I’m dying and have too much going on in my personal life to have such a stressful job without sharing unnecessary details with my boss that may come back to bite me later on

#ayyyyyyyiiiiiii #like oh yeah sorry my partner tried to off themselves last December and then they were on leave for 9 months and we were living on one in on #and they just came back a month ago and it’s not going well and honestly they’re probably gonna have to quit and I don’t think they’ll be #able to work anymore at all #anyways all my bills are over dude my credit is fucked and I get about 20 calls a day from bill collectors #not to mention I’m still trying to figure out the short term disability ahit HR fucked up #oh yeah and also my depression is relapsing and I have ‘can’t do things or pay attention’#disorder and terrible anxiety and my depression is relapsing #plus we had 2 deaths in the family very recently which I still haven’t had time to process #and you know I have to leave work early yesterday to go to urgent care cause I was having a miscarriage!#and they scooped me and gave me meds!#so like 15 client projects 6 internal projects and onboarding 2 people while you change literally every single process and rule after firing #half of my team and leaving me as the only person with product knowledge #well it’s a lot it fucking handle.#I’m dying #like how do you even say that.#you don’t #you just suffer in silence as the bone chilling dread and ‘waking up unable to breathe’ panic takes over

i'm not saying that Criminal Minds is like a revolutionary show like i am fully aware of its flaws but the show does Found Family so well. The show takes the time not just to develop each of the characters individually to give them a rich and varied backstory and character arc but also takes the time to build individual bonds between each them in unique and distinct ways, which is extremely rare for an ensemble show.

They have such real and tangible bonds not just as a cohesive group but also with each in a way that doesn't feel forced or scripted but deep-rooted and dug into your heart. It's an ensemble show in the purest sense, and every single character is meaningful and noteworthy and i just - i am in no way pretending that there isn't something off-kilter about finding a show centred around a FBI Team hunting serial killers to be comforting, but goddamnit Criminal Minds is a comforting show.

#adi watches tv shows #criminal minds #i just love this show and the people in it so much #like if i take emily as a centrepiece right #we know that she has smth special with JJ and Penelope #and lets even say for a second that we can take it granted that she's got a special connection with Hotch #but she's also got her own thing with Spencer #and she and Derek are besties i will die on that hill #and she and Rossi are shit stirrers #and its the same for every single character they have such deep-rooted bonds not in the assumed sense of like oh yeah theyre a team #but you can pair off every single one of these characters in various permutations and combinations #and each time you will come up with pairings with meaningful and real bonds and developed character arcs #and thats rare for ensemble shows but even rarer for crime procedurals #which generally primarily revolve around one or maybe two characters and only occasionally share the limelight with others #idk im rambling i just love this show
