My headcanon about the Siu family

ok so I read a post about the Siu family and I also have some Thoughts I would like to share.

In the game, there's an energy drink gift item that you can give to Jamie. He'd comment that it's pretty similar to the 'brew' he drinks.

And then I wondered, isn't Jamie's 'brew' supposed to be a 'secret family recipe' from grandma or something? And Jamie's dad is a businessman so...

Did the dad stole the recipe from grandma, tweaked it a lil so normal people can drink it, and made business from that?

I know it's a stretch, but my brainworms are schmoovin' now. I'm very much influenced by the fanworks of Jamie I've seen (i.e. Flavedo's comic about Jamie's life with grandma) but I kept thinking about how the inner workings of the Siu family is like because

If grandma is from dad's side of the family, then the son is basically leaking family secrets for his own profit.

If grandma is from the mom's side, then the son-in-law is stealing the recipe from his wife's family.

And-and-and it got me thinking even more about why Jamie was sent to grandma.

We know grandma lives in the mountains, most probably alone. If Jamie's parents know where she is (at the least) then they must know of her living conditions and stuff. I don't think they've had much contact over the years. I'm gonna drop some scenarios I've thought of, with the context that the dad did steal the recipe from grandma.

---Scenario: Grandma from dad's side of the family---

After Jamie gets in trouble for the last time, the dad decides to just drop him off at his mother's place. He knows the barebones and 'traditional' way of life that his mother lives would annoy Jamie to no end, and that will make good punishment for the brat. And maybe, he could get some more family secrets for him too.

But it blows up in his face because, yeah, Jamie does get the recipe for the family brew, plus how to use it effectively too. But Jamie hates him and would rather use it to follow his own peacekeeping ideals and continue fighting, just like his grandma taught him, than hand it over to his a-hole dad.

---Scenario: Grandma from the mom's side of the family---

With the dad angry at their son's behavior, and the mom also at her wits end. She decides dropping Jamie at her mother's place would be the best course of action. Her husband believes her reasoning easily, because he cannot see how living as a jobless person in the mountains would be good, blinded by money as he is. The mom knows about her own family's lineage of fighting, and she is hoping that by letting Jamie be with his grandma, rather in this suffocating household, it will make him a better person, and also continue the family tradition.

She is right. Jamie grows up to be a good boy. He's polite, respects his elders, knows how to live independently (if you tell me that grandma would not teach Jamie how to cook and provide for himself, I will fight you), knows how to defend himself and others he cares for, the knowledge that has been passed down through her family has a successor who actually values it other than for material gain, and most importantly, he's finally free from the household that suffocated him.

Anyway so those are my headcanon for Jamie's family. You can clearly see which side of the family I like more lmao

Good morning everyone, the weather today is swirls. They’re so everywhere that you can see them from space you know that thing we’re rotating on, swirling on. The galaxy is a giant swirl, so are atoms, which coincidentally, are also galaxies. They don’t house life as we know it but they exist in space and have all kinds of crap orbiting them. Basically the same thing. So now, having established that the largest known thing and the smallest thing are both swirls. We can gather than everything else is inbetween two swirls, and what choice does it have but to get schmoovin. To get down with that funky sound. To play ball. Stuff spins, it rotates, it swirls.
