I'm still working on some graphics this evening (banners, divider, insanity, Photoshop kill me but not literally, please)â but I finished her tags for now; I'll work on additional verse and sorts later as they're needed! So here we go: (1/2)

Soulmates can be Fun and they have some REALLY creative prompts, that being said they're usually not my Cup of tea
I get frustrated because they have SO MUCH potential (and when they're really explored it can make GREAT stories) but mostly it stays surface level
Curious, I havenât really seen any real trend among aspec people and the ship tropes they do like, however I think I kinda seen a trend in what they dislike. So in the tags tell me if youâre aspec (ace and/or aro) and if you dislike soulmates, and I mean the most straightforward romantic non subverted kind (but if there are versions you like feel free to elaborate)
#i mean the idea of soulmates can be cute#but usually nah#i really don't like suuuper conventional soulmate ideas?#if im reading fic i usually exclude the soulmate AU tag#but like if someone whose taste i trust sends me a soulmate fic i'll read it#HOWEVER#i really do eat up the concept of soulmates as like#In every Universe we chose to be together#or maybe the whole You complete me because we are the best versions of eachother when we are together#so i guess i like soulmates just not the specific There is one person who you are destined to love (here's a physical manifestation proof#i get the appeal tho#it just gets kinda ruined for me the moment it's hinted as ''it's bound to happen here's an outside force to show you how much it's fate''#does that make sense?#that being said subversive soulmate ideas are THE SHIT#soulmates but they MAKE EACHOTHER WORSE? OHOHOHO#soulmates but they choose to not end up together??#I WAS READING THIS FIC ONCE AND IT WAS HINTED THE MAIN CHARACTERS WERE SOULMATES#(they can't be sure because plot shenanigans)#it's not just about that the fic but by the end they find out they were in fact NOT soulmates#and they chose to tattoo their soulmate mark thingies on eachother??? THAT'S PEAK ROMANCE RIGHT THERE#im ace but not aro#(btw i have read few published books with soulmates as well but the ones i did were boring as all fuck#also when they make the person without a soulmate to be sad and miserable? big nope#i have read exactly one good thing with this and it was my friend's story#but the whole point was the character to have an arc realizing she Didn't need a soulmate and that her life was fulfilling as it was#it's funny because said friend Didn't even know back then she was aro years later after she came out we were looking back on this#she went all Wait Hold On A Second Now#the writing is kinda wonky but it still holds up well enought jfjskdjs

Girl, Interrupted
summary: Eddie crashes by your home when you least expected, but everything happens for a reason, right?
wc: 1.8k
cw: PURE SMUT (MDNI 18+), basically no plot, friends to fwb?, oral (f receiving), Eddie is a tease, fairly bold reader lol, fingering, talk of p in v sex, hair pulling, orgasms idk let me know what else
a/n: my bestie bought me slutty pajamas for my birthday, and since I'm a hypothetical whore, this has been on my mind nonstop. Finally took a break from my spn series to write this down. This is the filthiest thing I've written to date but definitely short and sweet
Eddieâs jaw fell slack as the door opened before him. He knew he shouldnât have shown up to your place uninvited. Sure, you were his best friend, and of course, you had said he could come over whenever, but that never truly meant unannounced. He was already kicking himself for showing up as late as he did when you opened the door.
Your oh so short pajama shorts were the first thing that caught his eye, how your thighs spilled out beneath them, the cotton begging for relief. His eyes trailed higher to your tank top one size too small. The hem rested just above your midriff, the outline of your hips more prominent than he had ever seen. Your face was flush, pinks and reds lining your cheeks. He fought the urge to pinch himself, scared that he was dreaming, scared that heâd wake up to the absence of you and very real feelings emerging.
âEddie? What are you doing here?â you asked, your arms crossing over your chest. âI thought you had a date.â
Date, what date? Eddieâs mind was going numb. His brain was flatlining at the mere sight of you, more exposed to him than heâd ever seen you. Fight or flight kicked in, debating on whether to say something or just turn around and leave. He was almost sure he was not supposed to see you in this state.
âIâuhhâit didnât go well, so I cut it short. But I know you love the place, so I figured Iâd bring over the leftovers.â
âOh, sweet. Thank you.â
Eddie hesitated, scared to ask, but his interest piqued. âIs someoneâyouâre alone right now, right?â
Your eyebrows pinched together. You exhaled a dry laugh. âPlease, Iâm always alone. Come in. Tell me about your date.â
You ushered Eddie inside and settled into your couch. You pulled a blanket over you, and Eddie released a sigh. He couldnât believe the hold you suddenly had on him. It was like he was in high school again, ready to combust at the sight of a shoulder. At least with your legs covered, he was less inclined to think about spreading them.
âWas it really that bad?â you asked, drawing Eddie from his thoughts.
âShe was just so boring,â Eddie complained. âLike, thereâs nothing wrong with her, but it was like we were from different planets! She didnât know Metallica! How am I supposed to bond with someone when thereâs nothing to relate to?â
âDid you think of showing her?â
âShowing her what?â
âMetallica!â you laughed. âWouldnât that be kind of romantic, you know, to introduce that to her? Maybe tell her youâre in a band? Itâd be like showing her a whole new world. And maybe youâd get a groupie out of it.â
Eddie swatted at the air. âItâs not worth it. We were both bored. And it was clear she wasnât looking to rock with a guitarist.â
âOh, I highly doubt that.â
âYou didnât meet her. Sheâs pristine, a Chrissy Cunningham type. Meant to be with a lawyer or some shit.â
You leaned in closer to Eddie, your blanket sliding down your thighs. âThose are the girls who fantasize about guys like you the most. Those girls on the straight and narrow, the ones who seemed destined to be sweet stay-at-home moms or perfect career women, those are the ones who dream of just one night doing something they never thought they could. Something so wild that when theyâre taking their kids to soccer practice, or their âperfect husbandâ is asleep on the recliner while they're doing the dishes, they can think back to that wild night when they fucked a rockstar.â
Eddieâs lip trembled as chills coursed through his body. You leaned back against the couch and shrugged like what you said was nothing. You had to be on something, he decided. Never had you been so frank when the topic of sex came up. Your face was still flushed with color, and you couldnât seem to find a comfortable position on the couch, shifting yourself from one side to the other to no specific rhythm. Heat radiated off of you, though you werenât known to be the furnace between the two of you. Something struck Eddie as so foreign but so familiar as he took you in.
âWould you fuck a rockstar?â Eddie found himself saying.
Heat rose to your cheeks. âDo I seem like one of those straight-and-narrow girls to you?â
âThatâs not what I asked,â Eddie said, a newfound confidence overtaking him. âYou came up with that way too fast to act like you donât think of it, too. So, would you fuck a rockstar?â
You bit your lip and shifted in your seat. You huffed into the couch. âWouldnât anyone?â
âWhy so shy all of a sudden?â Eddie asked, egging you on. âYouâve been squirming since I got here, sweetheart. Is something on your mind?â
Your eyes trailed from his eyes to his lips, then back to his eyes. âTonight is not the night to ask me that.â
âWhy is that?â Eddie chuckled. âWere you in the middle of something? Was something left unfinished when I so rudely interrupted? And now all you can think about is the ache between your legs?â
You shuddered at his words. âEddie,â you said, your voice shaking.
âI could help you.â Eddie leaned closer, his words almost a whisper. âBecause I may not be a rockstar, but Iâm sure I could give you the night of your life.â
Your breath hitched in your throat. âDonât tease me. Itâs not funny.â
âNo oneâs laughing.â Eddie pulled the blanket back, his hands resting on your thighs. Your legs slightly opened on instinct. âWhat kind of friend would I be, huh? If I didnât at least offer?â
Eddie didnât know where this bravado came from, but he didnât care. All he knew was the longer you looked at him like that, the harder he got.
You grabbed him by his shirt and forced his lips on yours. Nothing soft or sweet came from your lips. You were needy and desperate, clinging to him like he was the air in your lungs.
The urgency shocked Eddie, but he quickly found your rhythm. He smirked against your lips as he pulled his jacket off. His hands snaked from your thighs to your hips to your ass, lifting you onto his lap. You groaned into his mouth as he rolled you against him.
He was sure he was dreaming now. Only there did he ever picture you above him, grinding your hips into his. Only there did he imagine you moaning from his touch. But never were his dreams this vivid, this real, this fucking good.
He pulled you from him and pushed you back onto the couch. You whined at the loss of contact. Heâd never seen your eyes so dark, so lustful, so hungry for him.
He slid down to the floor onto his knees and pulled you to the edge of the couch. âYou still want my help, sweetheart?â
You nodded emphatically.
âI need to hear you, baby. Say it.â
âPlease help me, Eddie. I need you. Please.â
âAtta girl.â
You lifted yourself up as Eddie pulled your shorts down your legs. Eddieâs cock jumped at the sight of you. He bit his lip to maintain what little composure he had left.
âAww, your poor little pussyâs just as needy as you, isnât she?â He spread your knees apart, the cold metal on his fingers sending chills up your spine. The throbbing between your legs only intensified, a small whimper escaping your lips.
Eddie couldnât wait any longer. There was no time for teasing, no time to explore. You needed him, and he was going to deliver.
He dove into your aching pussy like a man starved. You jumped at the contact, your hands flying to his hair. His tongue worked overtime, kitten-licking your clit before diving in for more.
âYou taste so good, sweetheart,â he said, smiling against you. You moaned in response, grabbing a fistful of his hair and pulling him closer.
Your sounds turned him on even more, searching for his own release as he rubbed himself against the couch. His mind was in a daze, in utter disbelief that anyone could look so perfect for him with your legs spread and your back arched. Your chest rose and fell to the rhythm of his tongue, and your lips formed a perfect âoâ. Oh, how Eddie wanted to feel your lips around his cock. How youâd sink down on him, your perfect innocent mouth being completely sinful just for him.
He placed a finger at your entrance and pumped in and out, his thumb now circling your clit. Your head fell back. âGod, yes, Eddie. Just like that.â
âI need you to do something for me, baby,â Eddie said as he added a second finger.
âWhaâwhatâs that?â you asked, breathless.
âI need you to tell me what you think of when you get off. Tell me what you were thinking of before I showed up at your door.â
âIâI oh god,â you shouted as Eddieâs lips found your clit. âIâI thought about you on your fucking date.â
âOh fuck,â Eddie groaned into your pussy, the vibrations shooting up your spine.
âI pictured you fucking her from behind, her skirt hiked up to her hips, her panties to the side as you fucked her in front of the bathroom mirror.â
âFucking CâChrist,â Eddie stuttered, his hips rutting into the couch faster. âKeep going.â
âThen it was me you were fucking. You grabbed me by the hair, so I could watch what you were doing to me,â you said, your voice shaking with every word. âEddie, please. Iâm close. Please.â
âCome on, baby. You can do it. Tell me what I was doing to you.â He was past dreaming at this point. He was sure this was heaven. Hearing your words had him reeling. He didnât want to stop, didn't know how to stop. He just knew he needed to see you come.
Your lip trembled. âYour hands were all over me, playing with my tits, your lips on my neck, andâand your big cock pounding into me over and oh-ver andâand Fuck! Eddie, donât stop! Please, please, please!â
Your orgasm crashed down on you, expletives and Eddieâs name on your lips. Eddie continued to pump his fingers in and out of you like a madman as he lapped up your cum.
âOh god, oh fuck!â he moaned against you.
You pushed his head off of you and caught your breath. Eddie took a breath, too, leaning back against his heels. You pulled him back up to you and kissed him, tasting yourself on your lips.
âThat⊠was so hot,â Eddie said, releasing a breath.
âCan it be my turn to help you?â you asked, looking up at him through your eyelashes.
Eddieâs cheeks rouged slightly, his eyes trailing to the growing wet spot on his jeans. âI had a turn already,â he said, guilt painting his words. He leaned in toward you, a devilish smirk joining his features. âBut Iâm not done with you. Not yet.â

Moon Starves Sun (FULL VERSION)
Dark!Gojo Satoru x reader
Word Count: 5.8k
Part one: Sun Eats Moon
Part two: Earth Kills Moon
(Warnings: forced relationship, implied nsfw content, implied noncon/dubcon, dark content, implied baby trapping)
When Satoru's close like this, he can hear your heartbeat.Â
It's been a while. Ten years. An entire decade. Everything about this is different, yet so familiar. He feels like he's finally reached the shores, feeling the warm sands underneath his feet. Like he's been given his favorite food after being starved for years. Everything melts. Everything except for you.Â
He'd like to stay like this forever, listening to your rabbit heartbeat, feeling your soft skin, but for your sake, he pulls himself off you. Lying on a wooden desk probably isn't that comfortable.Â
Your eyes are shut. Your breathing is shallow. You're so pretty like this under the moonlight. Your clothes are barely hanging onto your body. He can see every mark he's left on you. Part of him wants to make more, but he'll let you off the hook for now. He's nice like that.Â
"Still with me?"Â
Your eyes flutter open. You don't respond, but at least you're not crying anymore. He can work with that.Â
"C'mon, pretty girl," he says, voice soft, "let's piece you back together."Â
The belt left lines on your wrists. He'll kiss them better later. For now, Satoru collects your clothes and heels from the floor, placing them on the desk. He helps you reclasp your bra, runs his fingers on your arms when you finish buttoning your blouse. It's a quiet affair. Every so often, he'd catch your eyes. You don't let yourself linger for long. Satoru finds that a little cute.Â
You say nothing when he wraps an arm around your waist, guiding you out of his office. Maybe you're still dazed, still gathering yourself back up, because you don't struggle as much as he predicted. You try to leave his grip when the two of you reach the lobby. He's quick to stop you.Â
"Where, do you think you're goin'?" He grips your wrist when you take a step away.Â
You look at him, eyes shimmering like water.Â
You swallow. "My apartment. IâI need to go backâ"Â
He clicks his tongue, bringing you back in.Â
"We can get your stuff later." He tells you with a grin. "let's just go home, tonight. I'm exhausted."Â
You open your mouth. Satoru waits. You say nothing, and he thinks you're starting to get it.Â
The moon is a dusky red tonight. Satoru thinks it's an ugly color.Â
âŸ
If Satoru could describe you in one word, it would be: predicatable.Â
Normal, boring, a speck in the crowdânone of these are bad things. Just like how much of the universe is nothing, you're an empty void, too. Not everyone can be like him. From the minute he was born, Satoru was destined for greatnessâa prodigy, heir to a millionaire conglomerate, the Sun itself. His life isn't written on his forehead for everyone to read.Â
You are the exact opposite. Completely unassuming. He practically knows everything about you without even having to ask.Â
Like how Satoru can instantly tell you've never been over to a boy's room before.Â
You've probably never even been in a relationship before him, either. Even before he managed to corral you into his arms, you were always so annoying about the other things like school and friends. Though, you don't really have much of the latter anymore. His fault, Suguru never fails to remind him.Â
He watches as your eyes linger over his shelf: the numerous trophies and awards. You're still standing meekly in the corner, still garbed in your school uniform, clutching your backpack. He has to roll his eyes at how obviously you're trying not to look at him.Â
"What're you waitin' for?" He finally asks. You jump, eyes flitting over to find him before you find the floor. He resists the urge to roll his eyes again.
It's not like you two haven't done shit before. You sucked him off twice now, and he's finger fucked you against the bleachers. You should really stop being such a prude.Â
"C'mere, pretty girl."Â
You comply, dropping your bag, making your way to the bed. When you look at him from beneath your lashes, warily expectant, Satoru feels a thrill rushing through his body.Â
He's always been impatient. It's in his nature to take. He nips at your mouth, eager to taste your soul from your soft lips. Soft. Everything about you is so softâMalleable beneath his fingers.Â
Satoru didn't explicitly say what his plan was, but you aren't stupid. He can tell you know what's about to happen when you stiffen in his hold, turn to stone within his grip. He would've allowed it if you hadn't gripped onto his shirt, pulling yourself away from his feasting.Â
"Satoru?" You whisper, still leaning away. "The door...?"Â
Annoyed, he glances over. His room is open. It shouldn't really matter.Â
"It's fine." Satoru tells you. "No one's here." No one's ever here.Â
You still look panicked, hands gripping his shirt. Satoru finds that adorably pathetic. How helpless you are. How that's all because of him.
He's sure to make a big show of it. Satoru gives a dramatic sigh, slumps his shoulders, but eventually pushes himself off the mattress to push at the door. He even clicks it shut. He's too nice, sometimes.Â
"Happy?" You nod, you don't look very relaxed but your shoulders have dropped a bit.Â
Satoru doesn't feel too guilty pushing you down, not when you're already in his bed. He isn't known for his patience. He tastes your skin, leaving marks when he can: teeth bites. He pushes you down down down down so he can sink his teeth into your flesh.
You're asleep and under the covers by the time he's done. The moon's out too. Satoru watches it, largely unimpressed. It's so tiny, a sliver of glowing white.Â
And then you shift, turning ever so slightly, enough to catch his attention. He should probably kick you out and send you home. That's what he usually does. When he gets into bed with you, draping his arms around your limp body, he convinces himself it's because he's tired and waking you up would be too much of an effort.Â
He lets himself enjoy your warmth; it's nothing like the cold glow of the moon.Â
âŸ
Sometimes, even Gojo Satoru wonders if he's dreaming.Â
Sometimes, life is too perfect for him to realize it is real. Everything falls perfectly in place, fitting together like those jigsaw puzzles his caretakers used to distract him with halfheartedly.Â
You're in his kitchen, chopping vegetables.Â
It had already been a few weeks, but he still wasn't used to this. You, being in his home, in his kitchen, in his bed. Satoru thinks he's masking it well, but his mind is still reeling, it's a difficult adjustment.Â
Not a bad one.Â
It's like he's been drowning for years and he can suddenly breathe when he sees your toothbrush next to his. It's like he's been stabbed and waking up to your sleeping face is the aloe. It's like he's been suffering through a blizzard, and you cooking in his kitchen, humming a song he doesn't know, is the warm sunny day.Â
Things have changed since he brought you home. His home doesn't feel incomplete anymore. As though the apartment itself has agreed that this is where you belong. There are more clothes in his closet, more shoes by the door. The space is ever so slightly less empty and it fills him with tangible relief. He can cook a meal, but it's still nice coming home to something warm already made.Â
It makes Satoru wonder what things could have been like, had it not been taken away from him.Â
You flinch when he wraps his hands around your waist, nestling into the space in your shoulder. You hadn't heard him come in, apparently. Regardless, you don't linger, fingers hesitating before resuming your task. He finds this part of you adorable. Ignoring the thing that makes your heart race, as though he'll just fade away into the shadows.Â
It's his ego that makes him slink into your warm skin, making sure you know he isn't going anywhere.Â
"Smells good," he says.Â
You nod, pushing away the bell peppers in favor of the onions. Unlike him, you acclimated extremely well. It'd taken nothing to lightly push you to add more and more stuff from your apartment to his. You quietly moved from one setting to another. He remembered this trait of yours from high school. Go with the flow.Â
Though, perhaps, it was less out of genuine apathy. Satoru doesn't have to say what will happen to you if you refuse him. He doesn't have to throw lectures about his family and the influence he has on you. He likes that you aren't stupidly brave. He likes that you're meeker, quieter. You pick your battles.Â
But he thinks he'd like to see you crack, just one more time.Â
"Hey," he says, "let's go out for dinner tomorrow night. There's this restaurant just out of town that has great shrimp cutlet."Â
He expects you to nod, like you always do whenever he decides to do something impulsive and meaningless. Instead, you bite your lip.Â
"I can't." You mutter after a minute of silence. "I have work. Mr. Higuruma just closed a deal andâand I think I'll be coming home later and later this week."Â
Home. It's enough to make his heart flutter. It's the first time you've called the apartment that. Your words almost make him forget about the second thing you said.
Higuruma. The lawyer guy with dead eyes. Satoru remembers him. He always looked at Satoru like he was a child, too stupid to do anything. He never liked how the guy looked at you. Besides, he was way too old for you, never mind that you were taken. You were always taken.
"Oh, right." Satoru gives an exaggerated sigh, fully leaning on you. "Work. What a shame."Â
You nod, clearly thinking the conversation is done with. Satoru wasn't so charitable.Â
"Y'know, you don't really have to work. Not anymore, pretty girl." His grip on your waist tightens ever so slightly as he pulls you towards his chest. Your hands freeze. The knife glints in your fingers.Â
"I make plenty of money. You should just stay home. That way, you don't have to work shitty hours."Â
You stiffen underneath his fingertips. He's disappointed when your skin turns frigid. When he peeks over your shoulder, intent to look at your face, there's a nervous smile twitching on your lips.Â
"I don't think that's a good idea..." you trail off hesitantly.Â
"Hm?" He tilts his head with faux confusion. "Why not?"Â
The knife moves up and down, as though you can't decide whether to place it back on the cutting board. Satoru realizes it's your way of fidgeting.Â
"It...it would just be unprofessional to leave when everything is so hectic." You finally decide on.Â
Satoru scoffs. "So? Who cares. I'm sure everything will work itself out. Just rely on me, pretty girl."Â
You don't like the answer, but you don't make a comment on it. Satoru just watches you rotate the knife in your hands. He wonders if you want to use it on him. Slice at his neck, leave him out to bleed on the pretty tile floor. Cut straight through his heart, ending it quickly.Â
Or would you like to carve out his eye and keep it as a souvenir? He thinks he'd happily let you. It sounds romantic.
You don't do anything. Instead, you pull back your shoulders as if you're physically ready for war.Â
"'Toru," you say gently, softly, and it works in his eyes, "I...can't let you support me like this. It's not right. It's not like we're married or anything." You laugh, like it's a joke. Satoru doesn't cave.Â
"I mean, not yet." Satoru rocks you back and forth in his hold. "But gimme' some time to shop for a ring, okay? It needs to be perfect for my perfect girl."Â
You follow his movements. He can see your mouth twitch out of the corner of his eye. Your eyes get glassy.Â
He knows he's terrible, but he really wants you to crack.Â
"You're right, Satoru." You say, "I'll put in my two weeks tomorrow." He grins in delight.Â
"That's a great idea, baby." Satoru kisses you on the cheek.
Right, you pick your battles.Â
âŸ
Satoru tells you he loves you, and you're gone, not even three days later.Â
He breaks and shatters into pieces he'll never be able to put back. Each day without you is torture. He feels like a corpse, just going through the motions. His clothes feel looser. His skin doesn't feel like his own anymore. Every time he looks in the mirror, he sees someone he barely even recognizes.Â
It's like you left with his heart.Â
No, you ran away with his soul.Â
One day, you were Satoru's, safely tucked underneath his arm...the next, you just weren't.Â
His parents don't acknowledge it beyond casual disgust. Every time Suguru talks to him, Satoru can barely comprehend it. Days pass by. Everything reminds him of you. His bed feels emptier; he hates it when he reaches out to the space you used to take up and finds it cold. Your locker remains untouched. Nothing is ever the same.Â
Satoru tries looking for you, but you're untraceable. No social media, no friends left to tell where you went, not even your fucking parents know where you are.Â
You left him.Â
You left him to rot.Â
Denial comes first. It can't be. You wouldn't. You wouldn't fucking dare. Anger seeps in the next. For weeks, Satoru can only imagine what he'll do when he finds you. He'll break your legs this time. He'll squeeze your neck so hard that your head pops. He'll kill you over and over again until your corpse is begging to be forgiven. And he won't ever stop, because you're Satoru's.Â
That doesn't stay for long. He feels himself get weaker day by day. Food tastes like dirt on his tongue. Any of his earlier vices are gone.Â
He misses you.Â
Why wouldn't he? You were his everything.Â
Like all things, it passes. You aren't there to fuel the flames, so the fire wanes in his chest. The ache in his heart gets smaller and smaller. Things keep him busy. College. Then, his new position in the office.Â
Ten years pass. Heâs forgotten what you look like. But he remembers parts. Every so often, he sees a flicker of you within someone else. Your eyes are on another womanâs face. Your lips on a girl's smile. It irritates him to no end. Itâs even worse when he starts seeking them out, keeping those parts of them for just the night.Â
Sometimes, if he closes his eyes, he can still hear your voiceâwhat he thinks is your voiceâsoft, needy Toru Toru Toru.Â
âGojo, sir?âÂ
He blinks. Ijichi stands in front of him. Satoru looks down at the meticulously crafted pages.Â
âMr. Higuruma needed you to sign this,â Ijichi lifts a paper filled with bureaucratic bullshit he pays other people to understand.
Why did Suguru take off now?Â
âSure sure,â Satoru says, âIâll get it done.âÂ
Ijichi shifts nervously. âWell, itâd be best to finish it right now, Sir. His paralegal is just about to leave the building.âÂ
Oh, right. The lawyerâs assistant. Gojo could never get a good look at that person, but the assistant resembled a shaking deer to him at most times. Heâs not even sure if theyâve ever talked to each other, but he always found the other a bit odd. Big eyes. A shaky expression.Â
It was a little annoying to look at.Â
âŸ
Some executive was throwing an office gala, and since he is Gojo Satoru, he needed to come along.Â
And since you are Satoru's, you're dragged along too.Â
Honestly, the only upside to this is you and that new dress he bought you. A velvet turquoise dress that he can't take his eyes off of. The gold jewelry draped across your neck makes you even more delectable. But his favorite part of the outfit is the shimmering diamond ring.Â
The ceremony hadn't been anything extravagant. He'd just booked out one of his favorite restaurants, ordering lobster and sweet wine. He remembered hearing his heartbeat when he bent down on one knee, opening the elegant ringbox, like an oyster revealing its pearl. Looking back, he didn't know why he was so nervous: it's not like you'd say no.Â
"What do you think of it?" He asked when you were back in his bed, bare from everything except that glistening ring.Â
"It's pretty." You spoke, perfectly nestled in his chest.Â
He feels in his heart when he hugs you, a small kiss in your hair. You say something, but he can't hear it; he is too preoccupied with feeling you in his arms. It's still so new, even after all these weeks. It's the anxiety, knowing at any second you could leave and he'd be nothing. He won't allow that, he can't.Â
"I thought about something else, y'know?" He speaks quietly in your hair. "Ropes, chains, maybe. I could keep you here, forever. Butâbut then I realized how sad you'd get. I couldn't go through with it."Â
You give no reaction. When he tilts your chin up to get a better look at you, your eyes are glassy.Â
"You get that, right?"Â
You nod. He's really too nice, sometimes.Â
He spends the entire evening with you, tucked away in a corner, away from prying eyes. Just because he has to be there doesn't mean he has to be sociable. Every time someone walks up to him and you, a drink in one hand, he resists the urge to bite their head off, feigning politeness. He complains about their lack of decorum to you multiple times throughout the night, his head resting on your shoulder. You pliantly sit there, listening and nodding.Â
About ten minutes after the last board member left, someone else walks up. By then, Satoru's patience has mostly declined. He peers over with disdain before he can really process who he's seeing.Â
"Suguru!" He waves over.Â
You stiffen, and Satoru remembers you haven't seen him in ten years.Â
Suguru walks over with an easy smile on his face. He's nicely tanned, and Satoru is reminded of the pictures he sent over of the Maldives. Maybe that's where the honeymoon should be.Â
"Had fun slacking?" Satoru asks with a grin; Suguru shrugs.Â
When his eyes meet yours, he feigns delighted surprise. Suguru speaks your name with practiced shock. It's imperfect, only Satoru can see the amusement dripping from his fangs.Â
"Long time, no see!" Effortlessly, Suguru corrals you into a hug. You follow, giving into the cold touch of affection before pulling away back to him.Â
"Hello, Geto." You say when you're rightfully by his side again. "It's nice to see you again."Â
Suguru laughs, light and airy. "You as well!" He looks at your hands, tilts his head. "Oh? Congratulations, you two! When's the date?"Â
"Eh, we'll figure that out later." Satoru gives a quick kiss on your cheek. "Everything happened so fast, y'know? Us reuniting and everything: It feels like fate." Suguru's eyes flash. "Let's not rush this. We'll take our time."Â
Suguru nods along thoughtfully. He's looking right at you, and you stare right back. Not used to feeling left out, Satoru is quick to intervene.Â
The conversation is light, two long-time friends reuniting after a long spell. You stay quiet like decor, settling into Satoru's side. Suguru doesn't acknowledge you after that.Â
"We gotta' go. It's getting late." He eventually says, tugging you along.Â
Suguru gives a pleasant smile. "Of course, of course. We should catch up sometime." He directs this at you. You give a strained smile before Satoru leads you off.Â
"Suguru." The man turns. Satoru grins.Â
"I loved my gift. Thanks, man."Â
Suguru's smile is catlike.Â
"You kids have fun." He calls out right when Satoru's dragging you away all over again.Â
You're silent. Not in the way you usually are, pliant and cute. You're thinking. He gives you a nudge.Â
"What's goin' on in that pretty head of yours?"Â
You shake your head. "Nothing." And then you say, "He's changed."Â
From your view, Satoru supposed that's true, but reallyâ
"Nah." Gojo shakes his head. "He's just dropped his act."Â
Satoru's hand was wrapped around your waist when you two ran into him. You hadn't noticed him yet, eyes fixed on the floor. The lawyer hadn't changed since the last time Satoru saw him. That dead expression, those creepy eyes. Higuruma's eyes flit over your figure, before he finds Satoru's.Â
He stares. Satoru stares right back. Something gives, and the lawyer calls out your name.Â
"How are you?" His tone is cool, and this is another reason why Satoru can't stand him. The guy has no tells. He's just a talking robot.Â
Unlike you, fidgeting by his side, practically vibrating with nerves.Â
"I'm fine, sir." Your smile gets more painful to look at by the second.Â
Your voice earns you a tired smile, a mild pinch of humor. Higuruma shakes his head, waving you off.Â
"No need for formalities. We aren't at work." His smile drops just a bit, as he watches you for a bit more, eyes flickering to your hand. "I was...surprised when I saw the announcement. I didn't know you and Mr. Gojo were involved."Â
Satoru grins, making himself known like a shark in the water. His grip on you tightens.Â
"Oh, you didn't tell your boss 'bout us, baby?" He looks down at you with cruel mirth, pinching your cheek. You wilt. "We go way backâhighschool sweethearts. Lost contact for a couple years. It's actually thanks to you we were able to find each other again. We'll send you the invites." He presses a kiss to your hairline.Â
Higuruma hums at that. Satoru expected jealousy in his eyes; he's even more upset when he finds none.Â
"I'll be sure to save the date."Â
Then he shuts Satoru down completely.Â
"I heard about your resignation. It's sad to see you go," Higuruma says.Â
You nod, but you don't look at him. "Satoru and I talked about it, and we decided it's best if I focused on other things."Â
"Very, very busy, this one nowadays." Satoru interrupts. "Between wedding plannin' and all that."
"Is that so?" Higuruma says dismissively, "in any case, you already knew this, but I've begun preparations to start a new firm." He reaches into his wallet, pulling out a card. "I always thought you were good at what you do. If you ever want to get back into the industry, call me."Â
You take the laminate slip with a quiet thank you. Satoru feels blue turn into red.Â
When Higuruma slips into the party, Satoru tightens his grip on you a little harsher than necessary. He's dragging you through the halls. Behind him, he can hear you stumbling over your heels, begging him to slow down. He knows he should care, but he doesn't. That damn lawyer. Those dead eyes. Mocking him.Â
"Did you fuck him?" He asks when his anger has reached a high enough peak that he presses you against the wall.Â
Your eyes are wild, flitting back and forth. He'd your expression a little cute if he wasn't feeling like a furnace, at the moment.Â
"No. Iâwe never." You say. "Mr. Higuruma was my boss. Andâand he's marriedâ"Â
"Really? 'cause you're precious 'Mr. Higuruma' was eyeing you up and down like he's already seen what's underneath."Â
"'Toru." You plead. "Let'sâlet's just talk about this at home. Please? Let's just go home." Home. You said that word again. If he were a better man, he'd melt, but he's not.Â
"Shut up." He spits out. "Hike up your dress."Â
You stare at him. Then, you try to smile, like he's making a shitty joke. It wavers on your lips.Â
"It's...we're still in public." You whisper and it's so cute you think he'd actually care about that. "Weâwe can't...we shouldn'tâ"Â
"Baby." His voice drops, as he licks at your neck. "Pull up your dress, get rid of those panties. Otherwise, I'm just gonna take it off myself."Â
He doesn't need to explain anything further. You already get what he's saying. Right now, Satoru doesn't care if you leave this building with your clothes intact.Â
He thinks the worst part is that he knows he's being unreasonable. He's backing you into a corner where you'll have no choice but to surrender, and he knows that, but he keeps thinking about those man's eyes and how he looked at you and it was just all so much.Â
He'll apologize to you later, with flowers and shiny gold earrings. He'd give you the world; just be good for him now.Â
He just needs his fix. So just be good for him now.
âŸ
When Satoru discovers it's been you all along, he feels like an idiot.Â
In a pathetic way of defending himself, he convinces himself there's no way he could have recognized you. You're so different compared to your high-school self. 18-years old, fresh-eyed, naive. The you now is all grown up: a mature voice, a new hairstyle, clothes he'd never even think you'd wear.Â
It also didn't help that he couldn't even see your face since you turned away every time he looked at you.Â
Embarrassing. He's just glad Suguru wasn't here to call his blunder.Â
He thought about it a lot. He spent an hour in his office, pacing around, doing nothing but thinking and thinking and thinking. Part of him wants to corner you already. He can already feel your rabbit heartbeat on his fingertips, the look you always had in your eyes when he was right in front of you. Part of him wants to ruin your life the same way you ruined his. He wants to tear you apart, piece by piece. Leave you in tattered pieces.Â
But he can't do that. Satoru still loves you.Â
You left him a hollow shell. Broken. Tainted. There are pieces of him he still can't find. He should hurt you. He's hurt other people for doing less. But they weren't you. Even after all those years, he's never quite stopped loving you.Â
But he wants to sate his bloodlust, just a tiny bit.Â
His perfect opportunity comes where he, the lawyer, and you are all sitting in one of the waiting rooms. The lawyers explaining something, possibly about the ongoing case. Satoru doesn't really care. Besides, this is what Ijichi's here for.Â
He waits until everyone is quiet. You're unassuming. By then, your shoulders have lowered, like you think you've gotten away with itÂ
"Hey," he says, "do we know each other?"Â
The other two don't bother, but you stop completely. The pen in your grip shakes. Satoru resists the urge to laugh.Â
You timidly glance up like you're still delusional enough to think there's a fifth person he's talking to. Satoru has always been told his eyes are like two suns: bright and intense. He lowers his glasses. You wilt under the solar flares.Â
"Hm?" He prods, enjoying the way you shrivel. "Have we?"Â
You swallow, glassy eyes flicking from side to side. Finally, you clear your throat.Â
"No." You mutter, voice barely a whisper. "I don't think we have."Â
"Are you sure?" To intensify the magnifying glass, he leans closer, like he's examining you. "'cause you look really familiar."Â
To his delight, you chew on your bottom lip. He can imagine biting it until it's bloody and raw. He stops just when you're about to shatter completely. Breaking you too soon would take the fun out of it.Â
"Oh, wait. I don't think that was you." He relents, pulling back and he can see the relief ooze over your face. "I think I got you mixed up with someone who interviewed here a couple months ago. My bad. Maybe you have one of those faces."Â
You nod, eager to take the out.Â
"Yes," you quickly say, "one of those faces."Â
How adorable. You haven't changed since high school.Â
He's usually not this obvious, but Suguru isn't here to berate him about it and it's not like anyone else will get on his ass. The women he brings in are his usuals: tall models with full lips and perfect bodies. Satoru parades them around like expensive jewelry. He wants to see you seethe in envy, stew in it. He wants you to see what you abandoned.Â
But you don't do any of that. You just sit there, like the dutiful little workbee you are, right by your boss's side.
And then, you give one of them your jacket. Satoru can't stand it wrapped around her waist like she fucking owns itâown you. She wears it so flagrantly, like any token from you shouldn't be worshipped and coveted. He hates it. He hates it.Â
"I've never done this in an office before." She squeals when she shuts the door behind her. "So, how do youâ"Â
"Get out."Â
The girl pauses. What was her name again? Satou was too pissed to give a single shit.Â
"Um, what?"Â
"What, you deaf or something?" He waves her off as if he weren't seething. "Get out."Â
"Oh," she says, blinks, and then she takes a step back.Â
"Wait." Satoru stops her.Â
"Take that off." He points to your jacket. She does it with zero complaints. When he tells her to drop it on the chair, she follows that too. Reluctant expectation. Kind of like you. Maybe that's why he was initially invested in her.Â
He only takes the fabric after she's gone. It's soft underneath his fingertips. Nothing designer, but good quality. When you're finally underneath him again, he'll buy you better clothes, all the jackets you want.Â
He needs you. He can't wait anymore.Â
He needs you, whether you want him or not.Â
âŸ
Satoru wakes up to something crashing.Â
It's faint, obviously coming from the bathroom. Not the best way to be woken up. He remembers the first few nights he brought you home. He'd hear you crying in your sleep, choking on tiny sobs. It was the sweetest little thing, like a whimpering puppy.Â
These noises are a little more concerning.Â
He yawns, sliding out of bed. You didn't bother locking the door. You didn't even close it all the way, either. A sliver of light comes from the crack before he pushes it open.Â
"Baby?" He calls. You don't answer.Â
You had knocked over a caddy. Toothbrushes, hairclips, soap dispensers, perfume bottles were scattered all over the floor. You're curled up in the corner of the bathroom, huddled right next to the tub. You seem physically okay, no blood, no bruising, but he can't see your face. And you're shivering.Â
Satoru's about to call out to you, when he steps on something. He looks down at the tiles.Â
A positive pregnancy test.Â
"I'm not keeping it." Your voice is hoarse, like you've been crying for hours. "I'm not keeping it."Â
"Pretty girl." He coos, trying his best to keep the glee out of his voice and failing. "Let's not worry 'bout that, right now. C'mon, let's get you off the floor." He reaches for your hand. You smack it away. It stung.Â
When you look at him, eyes bloodshot and brimming with angry tears, Satoru's heart skips a beat. He feels like he just trapped a wild animal, making it pace in a corner. Any wrong move could result in his hand getting bit off. It's scary.Â
He's finally cracked you.Â
"Fuck you." Your voice shakes and wobbles, but it's loud and you're clear. "Fuck you. You're a sick, twisted man-child. You ruined everything. You ruined my entire life andâand now youâ"Â
You're cut off by his giggling. It sounds psychotic even to his ears. He's beyond caring. You flinch when lifts your face up, forcing you to look into his eyes. He's smiling so hard it hurts.Â
"Yeah, I did that. I ruined you. I ruined your entire fucking life. For me." He stresses, squeezing your face so hard you try to pull away. "But I had to. Youâyou wouldn't be here if I didn't." He sighs, pressing your body to his. "I need you."
You're both huddled on the bathroom floor, captive and lover. He's clutching you to his chest, smiling, nestling his face in your hair. You don't say anything for a while.Â
"I'm not keeping it." You whisper. "I'm not. I wouldn't stand it if it ended up like you."Â
It's spiteful. You're still in that phase where you think your venom can hurt him, as though he'd see your blows as anything but blessings. Satoru thinks to his own childhood. Where he was given everything, lathered in gold and silver. Yet, the house was always cold. But you were always so warm.Â
"That won't happen." He tells you. "'cause you're here."Â
Your anger has dwindled to smoke. Maybe you've finally realized how crazy he was for you.Â
"Please let me go." It's not a beg. It's not even a request.Â
"I can't," he honestly says.Â
"You won't." You correct him.Â
He smiles in your hair.Â
"No baby," he says, "I can't."Â
If you ran away again, if you escaped his claws, he'd probably die. Drop dead, rot on the floor. He needs you. Even more than he needs food, water, and oxygen. You won't understand that. You've never been in love before.Â
You don't fight him. If anything, you sink into his hold. He's there to catch you, heart soaring. You lean into his chestÂ
"I hate you." You whisper. His heart beats a little faster. It's probably the first time you've ever been so honest with him.Â
God, he loves you.Â
"I hope our baby has your eyes," he says.Â
"I hope our baby looks exactly like you."Â
You say nothing, but when he leans down to kiss you, you finally kiss back. You're cracked, and your essence is ready to be molded in his image, just like he's always wanted you to be.Â
If Satoru is the Sun, then you must certainly be his universe, the plane in which he rests, because there would be no existence for him if not for you.Â

part one: enough for you
âWhy do Americans drive on the right side of the road,â Wanda grumbles as she sits behind the wheel, driving the two of you to your favorite road trip destination, your familyâs cottage in Nevada.Â
You laugh, kissing her cheek. âBaby, Sokovians do too.âÂ
âWell, yeah, but that doesnât mean Iâm happy about it,â Wanda mutters, cursing under her breath when another right-hand turn takes her by surprise.Â
âI think thatâs what you get for getting your license in the UK, Wanda,â you tease. âNow youâre all grumpy, and angry, and that milkshake we shared a couple of hours ago definitely didnât helpââ
Wanda gives you a look and you give a cheeky smile in return.
âFor the record,â she replies, looking at the road once more. âI didnât have a choice. I was on a recon mission with Steve, and he told me I couldnât rely on my powers for transportation all the time.âÂ
âWell, I think your powers are hot, though.âÂ
Wanda laughs. âThanks, detka.âÂ
âJesus, Iâm cold,â you mutter as goosebumps start to form on your skin.Â
Wanda immediately turns down the AC in the car, and you reach into the back for the first piece of outerwear you can find. As you pull your hand back to your body, you realize itâs Wandaâs navy blue hoodie, your favorite piece of clothing of hers. Smiling, you pull it over your head, comforted by the scent of her that enraptures your senses.Â
Sighing in satisfaction, you lean your head back into your chair, feeling so much more content than you did a year ago.Â
Wanda notices you out of the corner of her eye, and softly says, âYou look so pretty wearing my clothes.âÂ
You smile at her, and Wanda takes your hand in return, as she keeps her other on the wheel, intertwining your fingers together.Â
âYouâre so warm,â you whisper, feeling so so loved.Â
Wanda squeezes your hand tighter.Â
***
Wandaâs laugh is the most beautiful sound in the world, you realized the first day you met her.Â
You had been sitting and talking the entire morning, Wandaâs smile awakening the constant butterflies in your stomach and setting your heart alive.Â
âSo,â Wanda rests her chin onto her hand and leans onto her elbow. âWhat profession are you in?âÂ
You smile, âIâm an oncologist, but I much prefer the research aspect of things. I find it thrilling.âÂ
Wanda scrunches her nose. âYou find spending countless hours in front of your computer and in a lab thrilling?âÂ
You laugh. âSure do. What about you? What profession are you in?âÂ
âIâm an Avenger, but I work part-time as an English professor at a local university,â Wanda replies, and before you can compliment her on her work as a superhero, she asks another question, still curious about your job. âWhy oncology, though?â she asks with her shiny eyes ever so inquisitive.Â
âMy mom died of cancer when I was 8,â you look into your coffee cup, staring at the liquid as you pop the lid off. âYou can probably figure out the rest,â you give a small smile.Â
Wanda frowns. âIâm sorry.âÂ
âDonât be, it was a long time ago. Iâve made peace with it, honestly.âÂ
âThatâs really amazing though,â Wanda says, struck by how beautiful you were on the outside and inside.Â
You blush. âThanks.â Feeling overwhelmed by everything Wanda was making you feel you decide to tell a joke. âHey, what do you call an apology written in dots and dashes?â
Wanda tilts her head curiously. âWhat?âÂ
âRe-morse code,â you give a small smile.Â
Wanda takes a second to process it, but once she does, a huge grin makes its way on her face and sheâs laughing.Â
Sheâs laughing, and you want to keep hearing it for the rest of your life.Â
Once sheâs done, she looks at you with a shake of her head. âThat was awful.âÂ
You shrug. âMade you laugh, though.âÂ
âYou did,â Wanda nods. âAnd something tells me youâll keep making me laugh.âÂ
You blush, people had never really found you funny. Nat didnât especially.Â
But here Wanda was, with her comforting smile that made you feel like you were on fire, and her soft green eyes that made you feel safe, cared for, and loved already.Â
Who made you feel like you were funny for the first time in your life.Â
***
âHere we are,â Wanda says, stepping out of the car and slamming the door shut.Â
You sigh contently, so incredibly happy compared to the dark place you were at two years ago. Sometimes, you still felt the weight of how unloved you had felt. Of how you never felt good enough, never felt worthy of someone caring for you. And every time you ran back into your thoughts, Wanda was there to pull you out of your head and reassure you that you deserved the world. Telling you that she would do her best to give it to you.Â
It all felt surreal. Gently, you hear Wanda open the car door to the passenger side. The simple action made your heart flutter. âReady, detka?â she says, smiling at you.Â
Nodding, you exit the car, planting a kiss on her lips before she shuts the door.Â
Putting her sunglasses on, she comments, âYou know, youâre pretty American for having a cottage. With the beach, and everything.âÂ
âIs that supposed to be a compliment?â you ask.Â
âYep, because youâre an adorable American,â she smiles, kissing you quickly.Â
It wasnât fair of her, to make you feel this much.Â
***
Wandaâs on a mission in Russia, and you miss her desperately. You found yourself struggling whenever you were alone, still grappling with the feelings of whether you were enough from two years ago. Your rock was all the way on another continent, too far to reassure you of the constant echoes of awful thoughts that rang in your head.Â
âCan I go with you?â you had asked as you sat on Wandaâs bed while she packed the night before with you.Â
Wanda kisses your lips. âAs much as I would love that, detka, I want you to be safe,â she rubs your arm.Â
âIâm gonna miss you,â you say quietly.Â
Wanda frowns. âI know, baby, Iâm gonna miss you too. So much.âÂ
You nod, and as you sit quietly on her bed, Wanda can tell your head is somewhere else.Â
Grabbing your hand softly, Wanda sits in front of you, staring into your eyes. âWhatâs going on?â
âNothing,â you look away.Â
Kissing your forehead gently, Wanda pulls back with encouraging and comforting eyes. âI love you,â she says softly.Â
And itâs all you need, because itâs the most delicate, soft, unspoken gesture youâve ever heard. One that screams that she cares, that she wonât leave you, that she wonât hurt you, and that she truly honestly loves you with all her heart and you can feel it radiating off of her.Â
Wanda Maximoff made you feel like you were the most important person in the world to her.Â
Little did you know, you truly were, and to confirm it Wanda had a ring in her back pocket which she bought a week after she started dating you with her at all times.Â
âI love you too,â you reply, giving her a small smile. âI just want to be anywhere you are,â you confess as you start blushing timidly.Â
âOh? Thatâs cute,â Wanda teases.Â
âShut up,â you groan, hiding your face in the crook of her neck.Â
Wanda laughs, kissing your temple. âI do too, detka.âÂ
âReally?â you pull your head away to meet her gaze.Â
âOf course,â Wanda smiles. âBeing with you is my favorite thing in the world. Why wouldnât I want it all the time?âÂ
You blush furiously. âYou know, if you keep this upââÂ
âWhat?â she asks gently.
I might just marry you. You think, oblivious to the fact that Wandaâs already had the thought countless times.Â
You shake your head with a smile.Â
***
When Wandaâs on her mission, she buys a small chocolate chip cookie keychain that reminds her of you. They were your favorite food, and every Sunday, Wanda made sure to bake a fresh batch for the week so you never had to run out of one of your favorite things.Â
And when she gets back, only seconds after she puts her bags down she feels her arms fill with you and her heart becomes so much bigger than it was before. She kisses you deeply, smiling to herself at the person she loves in her arms.
Whispering against your lips, she pulls the keychain out of her left back pocket, her right one carrying the ring sheâs planning on proposing to you with. âI bought this for you,â she tells you, letting it dangle off of her index finger by the silver ring that she later finds out gets attached to the zipper of your favorite backpack.Â
And God, Wanda would be a fool not to be eternally charmed by the way your eyes light up with joy once you see it, the happy tears in your eyes making her want to hug you so tightly and never ever let go. âI love it,â you reply, grabbing it softly as if itâs made of the most delicate china. âI love you,â you kiss her lips.Â
Wanda shakes her head. âSo American,â she teases, referring to your love for chocolate chip cookies.
âYeah, but Iâm your American,â you reply cheekily.Â
Wanda nods, kissing you once more. âMy beautiful, perfect, so American girlfriend.â Â
Wanda feels her heart skip a beat when you blush all over.Â
***
Youâre crying. Youâre crying because you saw Natasha for the first time since the two of you broke up, and her words donât hurt any less than they did when the two of you were dating. Natasha had just seen you and Wanda, wrapped up in each otherâs arms, admiring one another at Tonyâs enormous birthday party.Â
Once Wanda had left to go let Pietro in, who had run back all the way from Australia where he was taking a break from the superhero life, Natasha had come up to you. Ready to poison your world with her venomous tongue.Â
âYou know, sheâll get sick of you,â Natasha had snapped you out of your thoughts as you stared at the door where Wanda had just left.Â
âWhat?â you reply as you turn to face her on the leather stool. Her calculating and judging eyes causing you to gulp. Even now, you still felt her hurtful words ring the bells of your insecurities back to life.Â
âSheâll get sick of you,â Nat repeats. âI mean, why do you think we broke up? Youâre boring, youâre rude, and youâre obsessive. All my friends told me about how you couldnât shut up about me when we were together. I mean, clingy much?âÂ
âI didnât meanââ you try.Â
Nat scoffs. âYeah, whatever.â She takes a sip of her drink.
You feel the need to apologize, for you never meant to make Nat feel suffocated that way, when suddenly a brunette witch is making her way over to you. And she looks like sheâs about to rain down hellfire on Natasha.Â
âExcuse me.â Wandaâs eyes narrow as she wraps an arm around your shoulder. âI believe sheâs my girlfriend, Natasha.âÂ
âJust warning her.â Natasha shrugs. âAnd you.âÂ
You stare at the spot on your lap, deciding on whether or not to blink away the tears in your eyes or cry, because ever since you dated Natasha you had learned how to cry silently so you wouldnât bother her.Â
Wanda raises an eyebrow, and her accent comes out thicker than ever before, âAnd what would you be warning me about?âÂ
âOf her,â Natasha shrugs.Â
Wandaâs eyes go red before she calms down, and her arm around you tightens in the most gentle way somehow. âIâll give you five seconds to leave us alone.âÂ
âYouâre gonna regret this, Wanda,â Natasha says.Â
âThe only person with regret is you, for never treating her the way she deserves to be treated,â Wanda replies sharply.Â
Natasha scoffs, turning around. âAs if she deserves anything.âÂ
Suddenly, Natashaâs glass explodes in her hands, âcausing everyone in the party to look her way. You can tell it was Wanda based on the way you saw a spark of red flash in her hands briefly.Â
Natasha turns and narrows her eyes venomously at Wanda, before stalking off to go clean the cut thatâs very visible on her hand.Â
Youâre still staring at the same spot on your lap when Wanda turns to face you, cupping your cheeks in her hands as she looks at you.Â
âAre you alright, milaya?â she asks, the heartbroken expression on your face making her heart drop to her stomach. You didnât deserve this. You didnât deserve this at all.Â
âDo you hate me?â you whisper brokenly, the tears finally escaping your eyes as you can no longer keep them at bay.Â
âNo, baby, no,â Wanda wipes the tears running down your cheeks with her thumbs. âI could never, ever, hate you.âÂ
âWhat did I do to make her hate me so much? Whatâs wrong with me?â you ask with a sob.Â
âNothing,â Wanda feels her own tears build up behind her eyes. âNothing is wrong with you, baby, youâre the most amazing human being I know.âÂ
And Wandaâs heart breaks even more, as you cry more and more, silently.Â
Somehow, itâs even more heartbreaking than if you were to ever make a sound.Â
You cry even more as you replay tonightâs events in your head, still in the navy blue dress Wanda had picked for you for the party, telling you how pretty you looked once she saw you in it. You felt so wrong, like you didnât deserve any of what Wanda was giving you, like she would get sick of you the same way Natasha did. Because maybe Natasha was right, maybe you didnât deserve anything. Because if you did deserve anything, then why would Natasha treat you so awfully, why would your mom have left you as a child and why would your brother leave you too, so overridden with the pain of the lack of your mom that he couldnât bear to watch you, leaving you with your abusive father who reeked of alcohol every night.Â
The thoughts sicken you, because your mother never ever meant to have cancer. And it wasnât your brotherâs fault that he couldnât handle a life without your beautiful, loving mother in it. And it wasnât your fatherâs fault either that he had a drinking problem.Â
Maybe it was all your fault.Â
You hear the knock on your door, and you can tell by the pattern that itâs Wanda. âDetka, can I come in?â she says gently from the other side of the door.Â
Quietly, you get up from your bed, turning the doorknob, and opening the door. The motions feel unnatural to you, like youâre some stranger whoâs been playing the role of having a loving girlfriend, but your world was shattered earlier and you donât know who you are anymore. You donât know if you deserve anything anymore.Â
âOh, baby,â Wanda says heartbroken as she wraps you in a tight hug.Â
This was your fault, seeing the sad look in her eyes you realize that you hurt Wanda.Â
You hurt the one person in your life whom you never meant to hurt.Â
It was all your fault.Â
You hug her back, because maybe if you hug her back it would make her feel better and it would be less of your fault.Â
Wanda tightens her grip on you, wanting to convey how much she loves you. Wanting to convey how much you didnât deserve any of this. Wanting to wordlessly tell you that despite all the pain youâve been through you handle it with so much grace, and youâre the most beautiful person Wandaâs ever met in her life.Â
But Wanda can tell that youâre not okay, that your mind is somewhere elseâ
Then she hears you sob. And itâs the first sound of a cry that Wandaâs ever heard from you.Â
And Wanda can feel the tears fall onto her shoulder and she holds you tighter, she holds you tighter and tighter until Natashaâs hurtful words are overrun by Wandaâs overwhelming love she feels for you.Â
Wanda can only hope you understand what sheâs saying.Â
And once youâre done crying at 3 in the morning, she keeps hoping.Â
***
Wandaâs worried about you, ever since Nat had spoken to you at the party you had been more quiet. More reserved. Like your mind was somewhere else.
âBaby?â she asks one morning when youâre both alone in the compound and Wanda wants to cook you breakfast.Â
âYeah?â you ask, staring absentmindedly at the sitcom running on the TV.Â
You were ecstatic when the first day Wanda met you, you had both found out about your shared love for sitcoms.Â
But Wanda watches you know, the complete lack of interest in Malcolm in the Middle worrying her because it was your favorite sitcom of them all and typically you would have a completely enraptured look in your eye. The same one Wanda was lucky enough to receive from you.Â
Frowning, Wanda pauses in her cooking, turning the heat off the stove and coming over to meet you on the couch.Â
You donât register when Wanda sits down next to you, still lost in your thoughts as she gently grabs your hand.
âWhatâs going on?â she asks softly, running her thumb over the back of your hand.Â
âNothing,â you reply, sitting up slightly.Â
âDetka, I know youâre not okay. And you donât have to tell me anything you donât want to, but just know that I care about you, ok?â Wanda kisses your forehead gently. âIâm always here if you need me.âÂ
You frown, feeling so guilty that you were making Wanda worried about you. You couldnât pretend to be okay, and now youâve hurt her even more. How long until she gets sick of you? How long until she gets sick of the feelings you give her? Â
âHow longââ your voice breaks. âHow long until you get sick of me?âÂ
âWhat?â Wanda asks, dumbfounded.Â
âI keep making you worry, keep making you need to constantly reassure me, and it must be so tiring for you, so,â you shut your eyes tightly. âHow long until you donât want me anymore?âÂ
Wandaâs heart breaks. âNever,â she breathes out. âI could never stop wanting you, even if I tried.â Wanda squeezes your hand tightly. âAnd I would never want to try.âÂ
âBut Iâmââ you bite your lip to stop a cry from coming out. âIâm so much to deal with, and Iâm not even that interesting, and it would be so much easier for you to date someone whoâs actually worthy of how amazing you areââÂ
Wanda cuts you off with a kiss. Cupping your cheek, she states, âYou are so worthy of love, Y/N.âÂ
You stay silent, staring back at her green eyes and feeling them pull you out of toxic puddle that was your thoughts like they always did.Â
âLoving you is the greatest gift the world has ever given me,â Wanda says, rubbing her thumb against your cheek. âAnd I could never get sick of you. You are the most incredible thing to ever exist, and loving you, for me, is like breathing. Itâs the easiest thing in the world, and itâs everywhere.âÂ
âI just feel like Iâm putting you through a lot,â you say quietly.Â
âYouâre not,â Wanda shakes her head. âYouâre actually making everything I go through easier than itâs ever been.â
âIâm sorry,â you say.Â
âSorry for what?â Wanda asks. âThis is everything I love about you.âÂ
You laugh. âYou like when I start crying and get insecure?âÂ
âI like every part of you. And if you need me to calm you down every single day, Iâll do it in a heartbeat,â Wanda replies, and you smile slightly at her. âBut I do hate seeing you cry.â She frowns.Â
You scoff. âI hate feeling like this,â you mutter.Â
âAnd I hate Natasha for making you feel like this,â Wanda pulls you into her side and you tuck your head into her shoulder, closing your eyes.Â
âI donât think it was just her,â you say softly. âI think it was a buildup of everything, and Nat just amped it up more. I never really worked through how much that relationship affected me before jumping into one with you.âÂ
Wanda nods. âDo you want me to give you some space for you to figure it out?âÂ
You shake your head, wrapping your arms around her waist. âI never wantââ you stop yourself, worrying sheâll find you too clingy as Natâs words ring in your head again. Space from you.Â
Wanda doesnât mean to, but your thoughts echo so loudly in your head that she canât help but hear them. And she wants to kill Natasha all over again. âWhat did Natasha say to you at the party?â she asks quietly.Â
âUm,â you grapple with your feelings as you relive that night, when Nat made all of your feelings of inadequacy come alive once more. Wanda frowns, rubbing her palm against your side to calm you down. âShe said, thatâ, that you would get sick of me eventually. That Iâm boring. And rude. And,â you swallow past the lump in your throat. âToo clingy.âÂ
âWhat a bitch,â Wanda mutters.Â
âDo you think sheâs right?â you ask Wanda, squeezing her waist tighter as your fears that Wanda will get sick of you come alive, and these are your last few moments with the person who lit up your entire world.Â
âNo, baby, sheâs so so wrong,â Wanda replies, her eyes turning red before she looks down at you and frowns as she sees your eyes squeezed tightly shut.Â
âThe clingy one hurts me the most,â you whisper. âAll I wanted was to love her and for her to love me back. But maybe Iâm too much.âÂ
You recall all the times you memorized her new coffee order every few months, the countless hours you had spent re-reading her self-help books, memorizing every fact, listening to all of her favorite songs from the information you had gathered about her. And the way you felt so proud to be Natashaâs girlfriend, the greatest assassin in the world and she chose you to be her partner. How could you have not talked about her?Â
Maybe it was too much?Â
âI think youâre the most amazing person in the world,â Wanda says, as her powers run amok once more and she sees all the lovely gestures you had done for Natasha. âI think Nat was an idiot for not seeing how kind and loving you are. And you are never too much.âÂ
You look up at Wanda as she looks down at you with a small smile. Kissing your forehead softly, she says, âYouâre not boring. And youâre not rude. In fact, youâre the most interesting person Iâve ever met, as well as the kindest. And if someone is lucky enough to be loved by you, they should realize how rare it is to find someone as incredible as you.âÂ
You shake your head softly in disbelief. âHow do you do it?â you ask.Â
âDo what?âÂ
âMake me feel like Iâm actually worthy of being loved.âÂ
Wanda kisses you deeply this time.Â
âYou are, Iâm just the one who helps you see it.âÂ
Later that night, Wanda hears you on the phone with one of your oncology friends, and she hears you talk about her. How amazing she is, and how lucky you are to have her. And when she sees you flop back onto the bed through the crack of your door, an elated expression on your face, as you speak dreamily about the way Wanda dresses and the books she reads, Wanda thinks that youâre the greatest thing the world has ever created. And she knows itâs true.Â
***
âBaby?â you say, turning to face Wanda in the dark in your bed. Wanda has her arm over your side, and she hums groggily as she was about to fall asleep.Â
âWhatâs going on?â she asks, her voice still heavy with sleep.
âNothing,â you say quickly, before slowly saying, âItâs just, I really, really, love you.âÂ
Wanda smiles. âYou woke me up to say that?âÂ
âI didnât know you were basically asleep,â you reply guiltily. âGuess the mission wore you out more than a night-shift wears me out. Sorry.âÂ
Wanda kisses you. âDonât be, youâre adorable.âÂ
âCan I tell you something?âÂ
âOf course, milaya.âÂ
âItâs really hard to sleep when youâre next to me,â you confess.
Wanda grins into the dark. âOh, yeah? Is it because Iâm so attractive?âÂ
You laugh. âYes,â you reply, and Wandaâs grin turns smug. âBut itâs also because itâs so surreal that Iâm with you, at all. And itâs even more surreal that youâre in my bed with me, cuddling me, and youâre so warm and soft and it just makes me want toââÂ
Wanda cuts you off with a kiss.Â
God, she was so in love with you.Â
You grin sheepishly, âSorry.âÂ
Wanda rolls her eyes. âStop apologizing, detka.âÂ
âOkay,â you nod. Â
âFeel better?â Wanda asks, and you understand her question. Itâs been a month since Nat confronted you at the party, and moments like this were a big step for you in coming to terms with yourself overall.Â
âMuch,â you reply. âEspecially because youâre here.âÂ
Wanda smiles. âIâm glad.âÂ
Wandaâs heart swells when she cuddles you once more, and you hold her hand thatâs around your middle as tightly as you can. She feels an overwhelming love for you, and she thinks about the ring in her desk drawer back in her room.Â
***
Wandaâs laughing at your joke on the couch. Wandaâs the only one who has ever laughed at your jokes, and it makes you feel so much lighter than ever before, while also making you fall deeper and deeper in love with the woman youâre lucky enough to call your girlfriend.Â
âYou know, youâre the only person whoâs ever laughed at my jokes,â you say.Â
Wanda smiles. âWell, then everyone else doesnât have as sophisticated sense of humor as we do.âÂ
You give her an incredulous look. âThe first day I met you, you laughed at a stupid pun I made.âÂ
âExactly,â Wanda shrugs. âSophisticated.âÂ
You shake your head with a smile, taking a sip of your tea as your heart feels bigger and more full than you ever thought possible.
And Wanda watches you, awestruck at your striking beauty that she struggles to believe is reality.Â
***
Wandaâs sick. Wandaâs sick and youâre worried because your girlfriend is in pain and you donât want her to be.Â
When you came in this morning back from your shift in the hospital, excited to see her, your heart had dropped at seeing her pained expression in bed, her voice croaky and her brows furrowed as she battled the feeling of nausea that overcame her. Not to mention her shivers as her high fever caused her even more misery.Â
You sat down on the edge of her bed, softly brushing away the strands of hair that stuck to her forehead due to her high temperature, âcausing Wanda to stir eventually.Â
Slowly opening her eyes, her eyes lit up as she greeted you with a soft smile. âHi,â she whispered.Â
Frowning, you put the back of your hand against her forehead. âBaby, youâre warm,â you told her, suddenly very worried.Â
âIâm fine,â Wanda replied, trying to sit up but letting out a groan. âIâm not fine,â she joked, as you helped her lay back down.
âStay here, Iâll go get you some medicine,â you said, kissing her forehead quickly before heading to the cabinets full of medicine in the bathroom.
âDonât take too long, Dr. L/N,â Wanda said sleepily as she shut her eyes once more, trying her best to fight her exhaustion so she would still be awake when you came back.Â
Shaking your head with a smile, you searched through the cabinets to find the proper medication to give her, already planning how you were going to take care of her the rest of the day and for as long as she needed you while she combatted her illness. Despite your worry, you were grateful that you were finally able to take care of your girlfriend, the same way she did to you every single day.Â
Wandaâs condition had subsided slightly, particularly her fever which had gone down quite a bit, but she was still feeling most of the effects of the sickness.Â
âWands,â you say softly, putting the bowl of soup on her nightstand as you kneel down on her side to wake her up gently with a kiss on her cheek.Â
Wanda wakes from her slumber with a groan, still slightly disoriented causing you to frown. Â
âIs your fever back?â you ask, putting the back of your hand on her forehead like you had done previously this morning. It wasnât as hot as before, calming your worry a bit.Â
Wanda shakes her head before resting it on your shoulder, letting out a sigh. âYouâre so good,â she says, turning her head to kiss your neck gently.
âGood at what?â you say with a laugh.Â
âJust good,â she says contently, relaxing in your presence.Â
âI made you some soup,â you tell her, kissing her temple as she hums.Â
âI donât want it,â she says, muffled by your shirt.Â
âIâll stay with you if you have a couple bites,â you offer.Â
Wanda removes her head from your shoulder and raises a brow. âYou were going to stay with me anyways,â she says matter-of-factly, trying her best to appear intimidating. Â
You smile at her cute expression. Wanda could never be intimidating, especially now when her hair was slightly tousled from her pillow and she was wearing an old T-shirt of yours that was full of wrinkles from her time in bed.Â
She was about as intimidating as a baby sea otter.Â
âNot anymore,â you shrug, âcausing Wanda to narrow her eyes slightly.Â
âWell, you better,â she retorts, crossing her arms over her chest. âOtherwise Iâm never getting over this fever.âÂ
You smile once more.Â
âYou know, youâre really cute when youâre sick.âÂ
âYouâre insufferable when Iâm sick.â Â
You laugh, âPlease, will you have some soup?âÂ
âOnly if you cuddle with me when Iâm better.â
âIâll cuddle you right now if you eat a couple spoonfuls,â you say. âIâll even feed you.â
âI donât want to get you sick,â Wanda says before her eyes narrow at you once more. âAlso, Iâm not a child.âÂ
âI got my flu shot last month,â you tell her, reassuring her worries. âAnd youâre kinda acting like one,â you tease, before kissing her forehead. âBut itâs really cute.âÂ
Finally, Wanda relents. âFine, Iâll have some soup.âÂ
âThank you, love.âÂ
You grab the soup from the nightstand and hand it to her, and as she eats you rest your head on her shoulder, one of Wandaâs top 3 favorite ways to be next to you. Â
She eats about half before sheâs full, and you tell her youâre proud of her before heading off to the kitchen to put the bowl away.Â
However, as you get up from her bed, Wanda stops you by grabbing your wrist.Â
âWhere are you going?â she asks, sitting up slightly as she was already laying back down with the blankets tucked under her chin.Â
âTo put the bowl away,â you respond gently. âKeeping it in your room might make it start to smell like chicken noodle.âÂ
Wanda scrunches her nose, accepting your answer quickly making you laugh.Â
But as youâre about to leave, you see Wanda watching you, staying sitting up and you can tell that itâs because she wants to wait for you to come back.Â
Making your way back over, you gently tell her, âGo back to sleep,â you brush a strand of hair away from her eyes and tuck it behind her ear. âYouâre nauseated again, I can tell.âÂ
âWill you be here when I wake up?â she asks.Â
âOf course,â you kiss the tip of her nose.Â
And when she lies back down, groggily croaking out the words, âso american,â most likely commenting on the chicken noodle soup, you smile, you smile because you know thatâs Wandaâs way of saying she loves you.Â
But to Wanda, itâs also her way of saying she wants to marry you.Â
***
âThis isnât fair,â you pout as Wanda beats you in Mario Kart once again.Â
She had been better for about a week, and she was back to herself which you were ecstatic about.Â
âBaby, how is this not fair,â she laughs.
âYouâre way better than me! You had all those years where you played against Pietro, whoâs unbeatable, and I only learned âcause Sam forced me to when no one else was available!â You cross your arms over your chest.Â
Wanda smiles at the cute pout on your face before kissing you softly, and your expression eases up a bit.Â
âWe can play something else if you want,â she offers, pecking your lips once more.Â
âCan I just cuddle you?â you ask, suddenly feeling very shy.Â
âYou donât even have to ask,â Wanda says, opening her arms for you to lay down on her, as she leans back against the pillow of the couch, your head resting on her chest as youâre comforted by the sound of her heartbeat.Â
You wrap your arms around her waist as she grabs the blanket from the other side of the couch, and pulls it over the two of you, making sure youâre completely covered from the neck down before she tightens her arms around you.Â
âI love you,â you say softly, closing your eyes as you relax to the feeling of Wanda stroking your hair gently as you lay on her chest.Â
âI love you too, detka. So much,â she says, watching as sleep starts to overcome you due to how exhausted you were from being on call for the past two weeks.Â
âYou know, itâs really not fair,â you mutter sleepily.Â
âWhat, me winning over 10 times in a row on the Wii?â she laughs.Â
âNo,â you shake your head. âItâs not fair of you to make me feel this much.âÂ
Wanda responds by kissing your forehead gently, and you burrow deeper into her chest as you fall into a deep slumber.Â
Wanda smiles, content and so so happy as she watches you, feeling the weight of the ring in her back pocket.Â
***
It was your one year anniversary, and Wanda had planned a small weekend getaway for the two of you as you had been exhausted due to a bunch of new projects you were taking on.Â
Wanda was so proud of you, but a lot of the time she felt worried because of how heavy of a workload you were taking on.Â
You were planning on coming over later tonight, as you had to work extra hours in the hospital.Â
So, to make you feel better and to let you know about your vacation Wanda made sure wouldnât interfere with your schedule, she had spent all day cooking you a wonderful 3-course meal which consisted of all of your favorite foods. As well as a large batch of chocolate chip cookies that would last you a solid month so long as you put them in the freezer.Â
She smiled at the thought of you as she rolled out the homemade pasta she was making you, how you had turned her world upside down as she navigated the unfamiliar territory of being the newest and youngest Avenger, just having you made her feel like she was so much better than before, and Wanda fell so so deeply in love with you and she never wanted to stop.Â
She wanted to give you the world.Â
She thought about how kind you were, how you cared so deeply for everyone, always stopping to help wherever and whenever you could. Wanda felt so special to be the partner of someone so undeniably incredible.
Suddenly, the oven beeps, snapping her out of her thoughts as she pulls out the chicken to go along with your pasta, the appetizer of calamari already prepared as it layed on a wire rack, as well as the chocolate chip cookies which she had prepared earlier in the day to make sure she had time to make enough. Â
Once she finished up, she plated the table for the two of you as she had kicked everyone out for her special dinner with you, wanting you all to herself. She smiled as she lit the candles and set up the plates along with the knives and forks, laying the plate of calamari in the middle as she kept her entree and dessert a secret from you.Â
Hearing her phone go off, she grins once she sees that youâve texted that youâve just arrived.Â
Taking her apron off as quickly as possible, she rushes downstairs to open the door for you, exhilarated at the thought of seeing you.Â
Swinging the door open, you smile softly at her while she grins, bursting forward to wrap you in a tight hug.Â
âHi,â you laugh, wrapping your arms around her. âHappy anniversary.â Â
âCan you take a break from doctoring once in a while?â she mutters into your neck.Â
âI wish,â you say, wrapping your arms tighter around her.Â
Once she lets go, she grabs your hand to pull you upstairs, excited to surprise you.Â
âWanda, whatâs the rush?â you ask as you make your way up the stairs.Â
âI missed you too much, come on!â she says, making you laugh.Â
Once you finally make it to the top floor, Wanda stops you from walking any further. âClose your eyes,â she says.Â
You shoot her a look.Â
âTrust me,â she says, pecking your lips quickly.Â
Closing your eyes, you say, âWhat now?âÂ
âOkay, Iâm gonna guide you,â she says excitedly as she stands behind you, starting to lead you to the dining room table.Â
âThis is not how I expected our anniversary to go.âÂ
âJust trust me,â Wanda says.Â
Nodding, you continue to walk in the direction Wanda guides you before she stops you in place.Â
âOkay, ready?â she says and you nod. âThree, two, one, open your eyes!âÂ
You open your eyes, and they widen in shock as you see the most beautiful candlelit dinner youâve ever seen in your life.Â
Wanda has swapped out the regular dining room table for a round one covered in a shiny white tablecloth, as well as swapped out the regular wooden chairs for more expensive looking ones that match the elegance of the table. The plates and utensils are arranged perfectly, along with the restaurant quality napkins that were beautifully folded so they were standing upright, absolutely nothing was out of place, and the calamari in the middle was cooked to perfection, the smell wafting towards you no doubt making you hungry.Â
It looked like Wanda had taken the appearance of a michelin star restaurant and copied it to perfection right here in the Avengers compound.
But what was even more unbelievable was the string of lights she had arranged all throughout the room, from every nook and cranny, the lights brought a hope to the dinner that nearly brought tears to your eyes at how romantic and calm they made the room feel. Â
And finally, to top it all off, right in the middle of the array of candles on the table was a large vase of your favorite flowers.Â
Flowers you had only ever mentioned to her once when she asked you, and you had told her not to worry about it because you could only ever get them in New Zealand. Â
âWhat do you think?â she asks, coming up behind you and wrapping an arm around your shoulder.Â
You quickly turn to wrap her in a tight hug, squeezing so tightly youâre surprised she can even breathe. âI love you,â you breathe out. âSo much.â Â
Wanda laughs. âDoes that mean you like it?â she says teasingly before continuing, âI love you too,â she kisses the crown of your head.Â
Burrowing deeper into her, you mumble, âI canât believe...I canât believe Iâm really here.âÂ
You remember how awful you felt 2 years ago, how hopeless you felt. How unworthy you felt. Now, standing here in Wandaâs arms, who youâre still convinced is much too good to be true, feeling so so loved, everything feels surreal.Â
âI have the same thought about you,â Wanda says, her powers running amok as she accidentally reads your mind again and hears your thoughts about her. âYouâre too good. Sometimes I canât believe you exist.âÂ
âStop,â you say as your cheeks turn red against her neck.Â
âHappy anniversary,â she says softly. âI have another surprise for you.âÂ
That makes you look up. âWhat is it?âÂ
âJoin me for dinner and Iâll tell you,â she says cheekily.Â
âWhy canât you tell me now?â You pout.Â
âNice try, but I didnât spend all day cooking this meal for nothing.â She runs her hands up and down your arms. âBesides, you deserve a nice relaxing dinner after all the work youâve done the past few weeks.âÂ
You look up at her with a shimmering look in your eyes and a lovesick smile on your face.Â
âWhat?â she laughs.Â
âJust happy,â you reply, kissing her lips.Â
âYou deserve it,â Wanda says easily. âNow come on!â
She leads you over to the table by the hand, pulling out your chair for you as you sit down, planting a quick kiss on your lips before sitting down across from you.Â
You share countless smiles and laughs as you have the best dinner of your life, zoning out a couple times as Wanda talks and you simply admire her for everything she is.Â
And as you bite into your chocolate chip cookie after Wanda has revealed the enormous batch she made, sheâs telling you what the surprise from earlier was.Â
âSo, Iâve checked your schedule,â she says excitedly. âAnd since youâre free this weekend I booked us a vacation in Palm Springs! The weatherâs perfect, and youâll finally get to relax after working so hard, plus, they have amazing grass tennis courts and I know youâve been wanting to get back into playing since you donât have much time for it anymoreââÂ
âWanda,â you cut off softly, shaking your head.Â
You canât even begin to comprehend that tonight is real at all.Â
âWhat?â she asks, looking at you with a smile.
âEvery time I start to think you couldnât get more perfect you justâŠâÂ
âI get the same feeling about you,â she says, making you blush. âBut Iâm not perfect.â She takes a hold of both of your hands and rubs her thumbs over the backs softly. âHowever, I do love you, so much, and I want to show it.âÂ
âWell, youâre perfect for me,â you reply, meeting her gaze and smiling softly as the two of you just stare at each other. But suddenly, it clicks in your head. âHow did you know I used to play tennis?âÂ
Wanda blushes before she starts off shyly, âUm, before we started dating I went to your hospital to see if you were there, but you werenât so I may have asked your oncology friends a couple things about you.âÂ
âSo you stalked me?â you tease.Â
âI couldnât help it I had a crush on you!â she defends, letting go of your hands and putting her head into her arms. âI still have a crush on you.âÂ
âHow embarrassing,â you comment with a chuckle.Â
âItâs not embarrassing,â she defends as she lifts her head from her arms. âHave you seen how pretty you are?âÂ
You blush, ducking your head down so your hair covers your face slightly. Even after a year of dating Wanda always managed to fluster you to no end.Â
âWow, now whoâs embarrassed,â Wanda teases back.Â
âShut up, I hate you,â you say, embarrassed.Â
âWow, thatâs not very American of you,â she says with a chuckle.Â
âTake that back,â you say, lifting your head and narrowing your eyes at her.Â
âIf you say yes to the Palm Springs trip.âÂ
âI thought I already said yes.âÂ
âNot verbally,â she emphasizes.Â
âIâll go anywhere you go,â you say easily.Â
âCute cop-out, but I need the word yes,â she says, sitting up and kissing your lips quickly before sitting back down.Â
âYes,â you relent with a smile. âIâll go to Palm Springs with you.âÂ
âGood,â she smiles before a mischievous twinkle brings itself out in her eyes. âSo Iâll get to watch you play tennis all weekend. I can already imagine how hot thatâll beâŠâÂ
âWhy do you insist on teasing me?âÂ
ââCause you look so cute when youâre flustered.âÂ
You shake your head, taking a bite of your chocolate chip cookie to distract yourself from the way Wanda was making you feel.Â
But instead she decides to mess with you even more, softly saying the words âso americanâ as she watches you.Â
And Wanda telling you she loves you made you the most flustered of all.Â
***
You had gotten Wanda a necklace for your anniversary, and she had gotten you a bracelet with both of your initials on them.Â
Now, waking up in your hotel in Palm Springs, you smile once you see the bracelet on your wrist. You turn in bed to see if Wanda was there, but you frown once you see the empty spot next to you.Â
Where was she?Â
You wonder where she could be, because she would never leave to go to breakfast without you, nor would she head out without telling you where she was going after waking you up with a soft kiss.Â
You donât know where she could have gone.Â
But soon, your question is answered as she enters the room, a large tray of your favorite breakfast foods in her hands as she greets you with a smile.Â
You tilt your head in confusion.Â
âHi,â she says, setting down the tray and kissing you on the lips. âI made you breakfast.âÂ
Your heart flutters and your stomach fills with butterflies. âHow did you manage to do this?âÂ
âTurns out that locked room isnât a closet, but a tiny kitchen,â she explains, pointing to the aforementioned room. âI found out after I woke up early this morning by accident.âÂ
âI missed you,â you say, hugging her side. âWhereâd you get the food from?âÂ
âMagic,â she replies easily.
âOh, right, I forgot Iâm dating a witch,â you chuckle, hugging her tighter.Â
âIâm not a witch,â she says defiantly. âI was voted most powerful Avenger at Tonyâs ceremony last year.âÂ
âTheyâre right,â you say, looking over to the breakfast tray and smiling once you see the gorgeous rose that lays on its side. âBut that doesnât mean youâre not a witch.âÂ
âIâm a not-witch whoâs really in love with you.âÂ
âAnd Iâm a not-doctor whoâs really in love with you.âÂ
âWell, then we agree to disagree,â she says, putting the tray in front of you, silently telling you to start enjoying your meal.Â
âMhm,â you say, eating a forkful of the omelet she had prepared and moaning at the taste. âWhereâd you learn to cook?âÂ
âMy mother taught me, back in Sokovia,â she says quickly, heat flushing to her cheeks after she hears the sound you had made. Shifting from her position on the bed to move behind you, she gently shifts you forward slightly so she can sit behind you and outstretch her legs as she wraps her arms around your middle. Â
You lean your head back to rest against her shoulder. âShe taught you really well,â you say, closing your eyes.Â
âDetka, are you gonna fall asleep while eating breakfast?â she laughs.Â
âNo, Iâm just savoring this moment,â you reply, kissing her shoulder. âAnd I want to savor this breakfast too.âÂ
âYeah? Iâm that good?â she says with a chuckle.Â
âYou are,â you say, opening your eyes to look up at her. âIn fact, I might marry you right now if you keep this up.âÂ
âIâd do it every day just for you,â she replies, kissing your lips.Â
And when you smile at her, that beautiful smile that makes Wandaâs heart beat faster than she can comprehend, she seriously considers pulling out the ring from her pocket to propose to you right in your hotel room.Â
***
âBaby? Wake up,â Wanda whispers, bright and early in the morning on September 8th.Â
You groan, not wanting to get up.Â
Wanda laughs. âCome on, itâs your birthday,â she says, kissing you on your forehead.Â
âDoesnât that mean I should get to sleep in,â you grumble, burying yourself deeper into the pillows. âCome cuddle with me,â you say, sleepily patting the spot next to you where Wanda had slept last night.Â
âAs much as I would love to, if I cuddle you right now youâre only gonna end up sleeping for another hour. And thereâs a bunch of things prepared for your special day,â she says softly.Â
âAnother hour sounds great, thanks,â you mumble as you start to feel yourself drift off.Â
âNo, no, no, come on!â she laughs, gently pulling the blankets off your body.Â
âItâs cold,â you groan as the air of the room starts to wash over your body.
âBecause you and I sleep in negative degrees,â Wanda says teasingly before gently sitting down on your bed to hug you tightly.Â
After a few minutes, you accept your fate as you sit up with a sigh against the headboard, Wanda letting go of you to grab the glass of water on your nightstand to hand to you.Â
âHappy birthday,â she says softly as you take a sip of the water and she watches you with a smile.Â
You kiss her gently. âThanks.âÂ
âHowâd you sleep?â she asks.Â
âReally well.â You grin. âI got to cuddle with you all night.âÂ
âLast night must have helped tooââÂ
âI will throw this water in your face if you finish that sentence,â you cut her off, starting to blush.Â
âI wouldnât mind,â she says with a smirk. âYouâre really hot when youâre angry.âÂ
âSo, theoretically if I yelled at you, youâd just end up wanting to have sex?âÂ
âFirst,â she says. âYou would never yell at me.â You give her a look, and she just smiles smugly because she knows sheâs right. You were way too nice to ever yell at anyone. Even animals. âAnd second, yes, thatâs usually how that works.âÂ
âYouâre a middle school boy,â you say with a shake of your head.Â
Wanda just smiles before kissing you deeply. âCanât help it.â She brushes a strand of hair away from your face. âYouâre the prettiest girl Iâve ever seen.âÂ
âYouâre the prettiest girl Iâve ever seen,â you say back.Â
Wanda grins. âReady for your birthday?â she asks, standing up from the bed and holding out her hand for you to take.Â
You nod, smiling as you take it and stand up, kissing her quickly before she starts to take you through the day she had planned.Â
And when youâre back, cutting into your birthday cake to hand out to the team members (Natasha was on a mission in Africa) which Wanda had baked, youâre back after a sunrise picnic full of your favorite foods, a relaxing walk across the beach, lunch at your favorite diner, a tour of your favorite locations in New York City as well as somehow meeting your favorite tennis player on the Arthur Ashe stadium of the US Open (you have absolutely no clue how Wanda pulled that off), you turn to your incredible girlfriend, whoâs already staring at you with an adoring gaze in her eyes.Â
Softly, you say, âIâm so in love with you.âÂ
You never knew your heart could ever feel this full.Â
âIâm so in love with you too,â she replies, kissing you in the most gentle way yet somehow still communicating the deepest sense of passion. âHappy 24th, detka.âÂ
You want to cry, you want to cry the happiest tears of your life because, god, you have no idea how you got so lucky to have this woman in your life.Â
But instead, you kiss her on the lips, hoping it says everything you need to.Â
And Wanda knows exactly what youâre saying.Â
***
âOh, my god, what if itâs too much!â you ramble to Yelena as you pace back and forth in your apartment back home.Â
âYouâve been dating her for 4 years, you idiot,â Yelena replies, rolling her eyes.Â
âExactly! What if this is like a 5-year thing, or 7 yearsâ Or, god, I donât know!âÂ
âY/N,â she says, grabbing your attention. âListen, this is ridiculous. That girl is so disgustingly in love with you, you could tell her youâve hated her all this time and she would still think you gave her the sun or something.âÂ
You frown. âI could never hate Wanda.âÂ
âGod, you two are insufferable,â Yelena sighs.Â
But Yelenaâs secretly so happy to see that youâve finally found someone who treats you the way you deserve to be treated.Â
âHey!âÂ
âFor Godâs sake, just go tell her you donât like ravioli.âÂ
âItâs her favorite food! We eat it every Thursday just for her!âÂ
âItâs actually you whoâs her favorite food.â
âWhat? Yelena, I swearââÂ
Later that day, Wanda accepts your revelation with a smile on her face and a kiss on your cheek.Â
***
âWanda,â you say softly as you two walk hand-in-hand through the streets of New York.Â
âYeah?â she says, turning to face you with a small smile.Â
âSo, I donât want to assume this,â you pause, fidgeting with your fingers nervously. âBut, will you go out to dinner with me?âÂ
Wanda grins. âWeâve been dating for four years and you donât want to assume that Iâll go to dinner with you?âÂ
âWell, you might be busy!â you defend.Â
Wanda laughs. âIâm never too busy for you, milaya.âÂ
âYouâre just saying that. What if thereâs a criminal who shows up out of the blue and youâre needed for superhero business or somethingâŠâÂ
âThen weâll reschedule,â Wanda says, shrugging. âAnd Iâll make sure I always have time for you.âÂ
You bite your lip anxiously. âWhat ifâŠwhat if you donât come back one day?â your voice trembles.Â
âOh, baby,â Wanda says, hugging you. âIâll always come back to you.âÂ
âYou canât know that,â you mumble into her shirt.Â
âBut I do,â she says, holding you by your shoulders and pulling away slightly. âBecause youâre worth every bit fighting for, and Iâll always make sure that I keep fighting until I see your face again.âÂ
Wanda frowns as she watches the tears roll down your cheeks.Â
Wiping them away with her thumb, she says softly, âI love you. Iâll always come back to the person I love most in the world.âÂ
âI love you too,â you reply, wiping your tears with the back of your hand. âSorry.âÂ
âDonât be,â she tells you. âIâm always happy to care for you.âÂ
âIâm really hopelessly in love with you,â you say quietly only for Wanda to hear.Â
âThe feelingâs mutual, detka.âÂ
***
Wanda was going to propose to you tonight.Â
It was almost Christmas, which she had found out in your first year of dating was your favorite time of year (besides her birthday or your guysâ anniversary) because it made you feel like you belonged somewhere.Â
Wanda smiled while she watched you from the couch, biting the nail of your thumb as you thought carefully of which ornament to put next on the Christmas tree.Â
She was so in love with you, your work ethic, how much you cared for her, how loved you made her feel. She wanted to spend the rest of her life with you.Â
âWanda?â you ask, snapping her out of her thoughts.Â
âYeah, detka?â she replies, looking over at you.Â
You point to the box of blue and silver ornaments by her feet. âCan you pass me the silver one shaped like a Christmas tree?âÂ
Nodding, she grabs the ornament from the box and makes her way over to you, hugging you from behind as you placed it carefully on the branch only a little bit taller than you.Â
âHow does it look?â you ask with a smile, turning your head slightly to kiss her on the cheek.Â
âEven better than last year,â she replies, squeezing you tighter.Â
If someone didnât stop her soon, she was going to propose to you right then and there.Â
In order to stop herself, she clears her throat and steps back from you a bit, letting go, hoping you donât notice her actions.Â
However, you know her too well, and you turn to look at her with a small furrow of your brows.Â
Wanda gives an awkward smile. âUm, Iâm gonna get started on the cookies,â she says, pointing towards the kitchen.Â
âOkay,â you say slowly.Â
Wanda nods, giving you a quick kiss on the cheek before leaving you to head towards the previously mentioned room.Â
Once Wandaâs in the kitchen, she lets out a sigh, wondering how she was going to get through the day without breaking down due to her nerves. Wanda checked her back pocket, making sure the ring was still there, and felt a sense of relief once she felt itâs black box.Â
She had it planned perfectly. After tonightâs holiday party with the team (which she had exclusively made sure Natasha could not make it), she was going to take you to the coffee shop where you two had first met, then she was going to take you to Shakespeareâs garden where you two had first admitted you loved each other, and she was going to officially propose to you at the firework show she had begged Tony to help her host.Â
Everything had to be perfect.Â
âWanda?â you startled her out of her thoughts as you knocked on the doorway. Furrowing your brows, you ask, âare you alright?â
âWhat? Yeah! Yeah, Iâm fineâŠâ Wanda replies awkwardly, looking down at her feet and shifting awkwardly.Â
You laugh slightly, âBaby, you havenât even started on the cookies.â You walk over to her, seeing nothing but two eggs on the counter in front of her and nothing else.Â
Wanda gulps slightly at your close proximity. How stupid that she had been dating you for 6 years yet you still made her feel like a teenager in high school. âI didâŠâ she says weakly.Â
âOh yeah?â you tease. âHow delicious if we left out two eggs with milk for Old St. Nick?â You pick up an egg between your fingers to show her.Â
âItâll give him something new to try,â Wanda shrugs.Â
Sighing, you put the egg down, and cup your girlfriendâs cheeks in your hands, rubbing your thumbs over them. âWhatâs going on?â you say gently.Â
âJust nervous,â Wanda admits.Â
âNervous for what?â you ask, brushing a tendril of hair away from her face.Â
âYou make me nervous,â Wanda says, relenting as she rests her forehead on your shoulder. âYouâre so perfect,â she mumbles into your shirt.
Your heart feels like it might explode. âI donât understand,â you say as you shake your head. âHow are you the nervous one yet somehow you still make me feel like Iâm gonna burst with happiness?âÂ
Wanda smiles against your shirt. âItâs âcause I love you.â
âAnd I love you,â you reply. Â
âYou know, we still have about 2 hours until Tonyâs partyâŠâ she says suggestively, starting to kiss her way up your neck.Â
âMore than enough time for you to help me finish the tree,â you say lightheartedly.Â
Wanda groans. âI hate you.âÂ
âToo late, youâre stuck with me already.â You grin as you grab her hand and lead her into the living room, the cookies unspokenly abandoned.Â
Little did you know, Wanda wanted nothing more than to be stuck with you for the rest of her life.Â
And tonight, she was going to make it official.Â
***
âWhy the fuck is it so cold,â Wanda muttered, rubbing her bare arms to warm herself up, before intertwining your hands once again. âItâs way colder than the temperature you and I sleep in.âÂ
âBecause Pepperâs here,â you say easily. âAnd Tony turns the place into an ice box just for her.âÂ
âCanât he just invite some sort of nano-machine that keeps it cold for her all the time? Heâs got the money,â Wanda says bitterly.Â
You chuckle. âCome on, grumpy,â you start to pull her onto the dance floor. âThis ought to warm you up.âÂ
Wanda accepts as you wrap your arms around her shoulders and she wraps hers around your waist, the two of you becoming lost in your own little world as you admire one another in your respective dresses.Â
âYou look so pretty,â she tells you, awestruck at your beauty.Â
âSo do you,â you say, taking her in before resting your head on her shoulder, swaying as the two of you try to stay as close as you possibly can.Â
Wanda closes her eyes as she rests her cheek on the crown of your head, feeling so content with you in her arms.Â
âWhen did you first know?â you whisper next to her ear.Â
âWhen you made that stupid pun,â Wanda says, and she giggles once she hears you groan in embarrassment.Â
âThatâs the worst one you couldâve said,â you say, lifting your head up from her shoulder to meet her gaze.
âCanât help it,â she says, kissing you quickly. âIt was so adorable.âÂ
âI still think itâs insane that you actually find me funny,â you shake your head.Â
âIâll laugh at all your jokes,â she replies easily. âItâs one of the reasons I fell in love with you.â
âAre all Sokovians this romantic?âÂ
âAre all Americans this incredible?âÂ
You both grin stupidly at each other before the two of you canât take it and kiss each other deeply, pouring every ounce of love you feel for one another. Â
âNope,â Wanda says as she pulls away. âJust my so American girlfriend.âÂ
You smile, kissing her again, and again, and again.Â
And Wanda thinks it wasnât fair of you either, to make her feel this much.Â
***
âWanda, where are we going?â you laugh as she pulls you through the streets of New York.Â
âI need to show you something, come on!â she says, stopping once you realize where sheâs brought the two of you.Â
The coffee shop where you first met.Â
âWhat are we doing here?â you ask, unable to stop the cheesy grin that makes its way onto your face.Â
âItâs a surprise, come on,â she replies, opening the door for you and letting you in. Once she shuts the door behind her, you turn, and your eyes soften once you see the shiny look in her eyes. âIâm taking you on a tour,â she says, guiding you to the back table where you two had first spoken.Â
âA tour of what?â you say, smiling as you follow her.Â
âA tour of how much I love you.âÂ
And Wanda only falls deeper and deeper in love once she sees the happy tears in your eyes when she reveals your coffee cup from when the two of you had first met, which she had kept all this time.Â

âNo way,â you say with awe as your next stop comes into your line of sight, the coffee cup held safely in your hand at your side.Â
âAnd I re-made the batch of cookies we shared that day,â Wanda said, pulling a tupperware of cookies from behind her back as you follow her onto the bridge of Shakespeareâs garden.Â
âWhat made you do all this?â you ask, shaking your head in disbelief as you come up to her to wrap your arms around her shoulders.Â
âItâs a surprise,â she replies, kissing you. âBut for now, I want you to know how much you mean to me.âÂ
âI do,â you say easily. âEvery day.âÂ
âGood,â Wanda grins. âAnd Iâm gonna keep showing you.âÂ
***
Wanda might not even propose tonight.Â
In fact, she doesnât know if sheâll even remember as sheâs lost in awe at how beautiful you look under the stars, holding the rail that separates you from the body of water in front of you while standing on top of a craggly rock, the booming fireworks causing your eyes to shine in a way that makes Wanda want to capture this moment forever.
But, sheâs on a mission.Â
And when it came to you, Wanda always put her best foot forward.Â
âTheyâre so beautiful,â you say, completely in awe as you watch the colors explode in the sky.Â
âJust like you,â Wanda says softly.Â
âYou know, I still really want to know why you did all this,â you say, turning to her and smiling once you see her already watching you. âI didnât miss any special date, did I?âÂ
âOf course you didnât, your google calendar is already filled to the brim,â she replies with a teasing roll of her eyes.Â
âWell, if I didnât have everything booked then you would forget all of your check-up appointments with your doctor,â you reply cheekily.
âYouâre already a doctor.âÂ
âNot the right kind of doctor.âÂ
âYouâre actually exactly my kind of doctor,â Wanda flirts, making you blush.Â
âI hate you. That was awful,â you say as you turn away.Â
And as you watch the fireworks in the sky once again, Wanda decides, nowâs the time.Â
Taking a deep breath and swallowing her nerves, she gets down on one knee.Â
Then, almost robotically, she pulls out the ring, opening the box slowly, as if any sudden movement would cause the whole thing to shatter.Â
She just needed you to turn her way.Â
To turn your head slightly and see her message for you.Â
I want to spend the rest of my life by your side.Â
It feels as if time has stopped.Â
All she feels is the beating of her heart through her chest, the blood pounding in her ears, and her nerves washing over her over and over againâ and all she needs is for you to look. Â
It feels like hours before youâ
Then, you do.Â
And itâs slow, and careful, and gentle, and so you. Â
You gasp.Â
And Wanda shakily breathes out, âWill you marry me, detka?âÂ
Both of your hands cover your mouth, and tears build in your eyes.Â
And Wanda feels the happiest she has ever feltâ
When you croak out a yes.Â
Wanda wants to keep this moment forever. She wants to remember how full her heart feels when she slips the ring onto your finger. The feel of your lips on her own when you kiss her hard through both of your tears and your laughs of disbelief.Â
Itâs the happiest day of her life.Â
And itâs the happiest day of yours, too.Â
***
âIâm so, so, in love with you,â you say as the two of you walk back to your shared home, wrapped in each otherâs arms.Â
âIâm so in love with you too, detka,â Wanda replies, kissing your temple as she holds you close.Â
âWhen you were a kid, did you ever think you were going to have an American girlfriend?â you chuckle.Â
âI never did,â Wanda admits with a smile. âBut I couldnât be happier that I ended up with a beautiful, so American fiancĂ©e.âÂ
You blush at the new title, hiding your reddening face in your fiancĂ©eâs neck. âTonight doesnât even feel real,â you mumble after a moment.Â
Wanda laughs slightly. âYeah, I know the feeling.âÂ
Suddenly, out of curiosity, you ask, âWhen did you buy that ring?âÂ
âA week after we started dating,â Wanda says resolutely.Â
âWhat?â Your head snaps up from her neck.Â
âI just knew,â Wanda says, kissing the tip of your nose. âI knew you were going to be my wife.âÂ
âThatâsâŠâ you shake your head in disbelief. âWow.âÂ
Wanda pulls you closer to her. âIt was the easiest thing Iâve ever known. Wanna know why?âÂ
âWhy?â you ask.Â
âBecause, from the first day I met you, I knew, you were everything to me. And you still are.âÂ
Your eyes start to water. âIâm everything to you?âÂ
âYou are,â Wanda nods, kissing the crown of your head with so much tenderness it makes you want to cry.Â
But, you donât start to cry because of the kiss.Â
And you donât start to cry out of joy although you really, really want to.Â
No. The tears finally escape your eyes as you realize that you finally have everything youâve ever wanted.Â
That youâre finally, finally everything to somebody else.Â
âYouâre everything to me too.âÂ

How Love Letter Works | LJh
Pairing: Producer-Idol Jihoon! x Producer Reader!
Genre: fluff, crush to lovers au!
Summary: Jihoon watched you grown, from a trainee to a co-producer. So, a love confession would be the last thing he expected.
Jihoon was the co-producer for your debut project. For six intense months, he observed you and the other trainees with a sharp, discerning eye. From the very beginning, he was certain you would make it into the debut line. It was like watching a reflection of his younger self â the grit, the passion, the unwavering determination. Every week during your progress presentations, he saw it more clearly. This oneâs different, he thought. This oneâs special.
You were destined to debut in Pledisâs new girl group. No one could convince him otherwise. He could already picture it â you shining on stage, a star in the making.
Thatâs why the news hit him so hard. It came when he was in the middle of a world tour, just a month before the official debut announcement. The call came from Soonyoung, his teammate, who shared his belief in you. Jihoon could still hear the disappointment in Soonyoungâs voice as he delivered the news.
"Y/n didnât make it."
At first, Jihoon didnât believe it. No, thatâs impossible. He didnât even think before calling Bumzu, the main producer for the project. His voice was sharp, urgent. "What happened?" he demanded. "She was supposed to debut. We all saw it."
On the other end of the line, Bumzu sighed. "We fought for her, Jihoon. We really did. But the executives had other plans."
Other plans? Jihoonâs chest tightened with frustration. His grip on the phone grew tense. "Then what was the point of all of this? What was the point of that project if the decision was already made?"
The room around him fell silent. His members stopped what they were doing, eyes wide with surprise. For the first time in a long time, they saw him lose his composure. Jihoon was known for being calm, collected, and focused. But this? This was something else.
The call ended, but the bitterness lingered. He told himself it would be the last time he ever saw potential like yours â raw, undeniable, and destined for greatness. It was a rare thing to witness, and losing it felt like a personal defeat.
Time moved on. Tours, albums, and schedules blurred together. Three years passed in what felt like a flash. Jihoon was still at the heart of the industry, a powerhouse behind the scenes and on stage.
But then, something unexpected happened.
One morning, during a production team meeting, the Team Leader stood at the front of the room, introducing a new producer. Jihoon barely glanced up at first, focused on his notes.
"Everyone, please welcome our newest producer, Ji Y/N."
The name struck him like a jolt of electricity. Slowly, he lifted his head, eyes narrowing in disbelief. And there you were. Standing at the front of the room with the same fire in your eyes that he remembered from three years ago. But this time, you werenât a trainee. You werenât just potential. You were standing on equal ground.
His heart swelled with something between pride and awe. She made it after all, he thought. Not in the way anyone had expected, but perhaps in a way that was even better.
Because now, you were the one calling the shots.
You were the main producer for the very group that had debuted without you. The irony wasnât lost on anyone, least of all Jihoon. Sometimes, as he watched you from across the studio, he wondered if there was any bitterness left in you. Did it still hurt? he wondered. You were supposed to be with them â on stage, in the spotlight. But here you were, behind the glass, calling the shots.
If there was resentment, you never showed it. You were focused, sharp, and commanding in every session, your presence undeniable. The idols who had once been your fellow trainees now hung on your every word, adjusting their notes and vocals the moment you gave feedback. You had become the kind of leader that even Jihoon had to respect.
It was during one of these sessions that Bumzu, ever playful, leaned back in his chair after listening to the final notes of your demo. His eyebrows lifted in exaggerated surprise.
"Is it even possible to create something like this?" he teased, shooting you a look of mock disbelief.
Jihoon glanced up from his notebook, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. He clapped his hands slowly, his eyes glinting with pride and amusement.
Caught off guard, you burst into laughter, cheeks heating up. You tugged your hoodie over your face, as if that could somehow hide you from the praise. "Ah, stop it!" you groaned, voice muffled under the fabric.
But neither Bumzu nor Jihoon stopped. They kept clapping, grinning like they'd just witnessed something legendary.
"Donât be shy now, Y/n," Bumzu called out, eyes crinkling with mischief. "A genius should never hide."
Jihoon leaned back, still watching you with that quiet, thoughtful gaze. You were no longer the trainee fighting for a spot on the debut line. You were a producer, a creator, and a force that couldnât be ignored. If there was ever any bitterness in her, she turned it into something greater, he thought, his smirk softening into something warmer.
Pride was a strange feeling for him, but at that moment, he felt it all the same.
"Iâll leave the lyrics to Jihoon. I trust him," Bumzu said with a playful grin, tapping Jihoon on the shoulder before stretching his arms and heading for the door.
"Donât let us down, genius," Bumzu added over his shoulder, his teasing tone echoing through the studio as the door clicked shut behind him.
You shifted in your seat, glancing at Jihoon with a hint of hesitation. "Sorry for bothering you with this," you said, fingers fidgeting with the sleeves of your hoodie. It wasnât easy for you to ask for help, but for this project, youâd made an exception. Jihoonâs lyricism had always been something you admired, and you knew he could bring out the soul of the song in ways few others could.
Jihoon tilted his head, eyes crinkling in gentle amusement. "Donât mention it," he said, his voice calm but sincere. "Iâm happy I can help."
He reached for a stack of papers on the table, tapping them into a neat pile before holding them out to you. "Letâs start with this," he said, sliding the freshly revised lyrics toward you.
You leaned forward, eyes scanning the words with quiet intensity. Each line felt like it had weight, every phrase deliberate. There were subtle changes â words swapped for stronger imagery, rhythms that hit with more precision. You recognized his touch immediately.
"These are... really good," you admitted, glancing at him with a look of awe. "It feels like it hits harder now."
Jihoon shrugged, but you didnât miss the faint smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "Thatâs the goal," he replied, tapping his pen against the edge of the table. His gaze shifted toward you, eyes steady but kind. "But if anything feels off, we can rework it. I want it to feel yours."
The sincerity in his words caught you off guard for a moment. You nodded, warmth blooming quietly in your chest. "Then letâs make it ours," you said with a small smile, lifting the paper as if it were something precious.
"But how did you even think of this?" you asked, eyes still fixed on the lyrics in front of you. Awe colored your voice as you traced the words with your fingertips. "I really like the theme â love letter. Itâs so perfect."
Jihoon leaned back in his chair, tapping his pen thoughtfully against the table. "Flutter," he said simply, his gaze distant like he was replaying a memory. "When I heard the demo for the first time, it felt like that... like the feeling you get when you read a love letter."
His words hung in the air for a moment, soft but powerful. It was the kind of thing that lingered in your mind, making you pause just to feel it a little longer.
But then, as if catching himself, Jihoon shook his head and waved his hand dismissively, brushing away the atmosphere he had just created â as if he wasnât the one who had built it in the first place. "Anyway, itâs nothing deep," he said with a small, self-conscious chuckle.
You glanced at him, catching the faint smile tugging at his lips. It wasnât just a random idea â that much was obvious. There was something familiar in the way he spoke about it, like he was remembering something personal.
His gaze flickered briefly to the side, his fingers tapping a quiet rhythm on the table. Flutter, heâd said. The same feeling that stirred in him every time heâd read the love letters heâd received years ago. Letters he could still recall, word for word.
You tilted your head, watching him with quiet curiosity. "Itâs not nothing, you know," you said softly. "You can feel it in the lyrics. Itâs real."
Jihoon glanced at you, his eyes lingering for just a moment longer than usual. Then, with a faint shrug, he looked back at the paper. "If it feels real, then weâre on the right track," he muttered, but the small smile that stayed on his face told you that, maybe, he was feeling that same flutter all over again.
*
You heard it â fluttering. You werenât sure what Jihoon was implying, but everything about it seemed to point to the theme: Love Letter.
Back at your home studio, you sat in your chair, the lyrics youâd revised with Jihoon resting in your hands. Your eyes traced each word, but your mind was somewhere else. You leaned back with a heavy sigh, letting the weight of everything settle over you. How did we get here? You and Jihoon â now equals. It felt surreal. Time had flown faster than you realized.
Memories crept in like old songs on replay. You remembered him during your trainee days â strict but attentive. Heâd been one of the hardest people to impress, and somehow, that made you work even harder. You poured everything into every performance, every evaluation, every moment. Not just for yourself, but for him. To make him see you. To be seen by him.
That feeling... it should have disappeared once you stepped into this building as a producer. You were no longer a trainee chasing approval. You were his peer now. But somehow, it lingered. It always lingered.
Your hand drifted toward your desk, fingers brushing over a familiar object. A letter. The paper was worn, its edges soft from age, a faint coffee stain marking one corner. It had been with you for years â a quiet reminder of something you never quite let go of. Youâd taken care of it like it was precious. Like your feelings for him. Feelings that never faded, no matter how much you told yourself they would.
Your fingers traced the edges of the letter, and your heart thudded louder in your chest. It had been like this since earlier â ever since Jihoon mentioned it.
"Flutter. Like the feeling you get when you read a love letter."
Your breath caught in your throat. Your heart, which was already unsteady around him, felt even more chaotic now. It had been this way for years. Back then, when you were just a trainee, it had been worse. Youâd poured all those wild, uncontrollable feelings into letters. Handwritten confessions only meant for him.
How many had you written? How many had you left behind, hoping, wishing, praying he would notice? You always knew he would. Heâs Jihoon, after all. He noticed everything.
He noticed when you were in pain during the monthly evaluations, his sharp gaze catching the smallest wince. He noticed when you had a cold during recording, quietly leaving a warm drink on the table near you. He even noticed when you cut your hair, commenting on it so casually like it was nothing, but it had stayed with you for weeks.
Of course, heâd notice a love letter.
And youâd been so careful. Leaving them just where you knew he would find them â near the practice room where he passed by, tucked on the edge of the table in the recording studio. Heâd see them. He had to have seen them.
But did he read them?
Your eyes flickered back to the lyrics in your hand.
"Flutter. Like the feeling you get when you read a love letter."
Your fingers tightened around the paper as your heart pounded harder. Did he read them?
And if he did... did he know they were from you?
You put the letter back in its place. Heâll never know.
Heâd never know about any of it â not the words youâd carefully written, not the feelings youâd poured into every stroke of your pen, and certainly not about the last letter. The one you never sent.
You had been so sure. So sure. You thought youâd make it into the debut line. Everyone did. Thatâs why you prepared that final letter â the one that would reveal your identity, the one that would tell him everything. After the announcement, you planned to hand it to him yourself. No more hiding behind anonymous words. No more waiting.
But reality had other plans.
The news hit you like a storm you hadnât seen coming. They didnât debut you. They said you were too old to debut.
Too old.
The words echoed in your mind, hollow and cutting. Youâd spent years giving everything to this dream, only for it to be reduced to two cold, dismissive words.
They didnât stop there, though. No, they had another plan. They offered you a contract â not as an idol, but as a producer. The groupâs producer. They mentioned how much they liked the song youâd composed during the project and said they wanted to release it as part of the groupâs debut album.
But you were too angry to listen. Too hurt to consider it. You walked away.
For a while, you told yourself that walking away was your only option. You told yourself you had every right to be angry, that youâd been wronged. Unfair didnât even begin to describe it. Youâd fought so hard, only to be told that you werenât enough. It was a wound too deep for logic to mend.
But wounds donât stay open forever. Time has its way of softening even the sharpest edges.
Eventually, you realized something important â there was nothing you could do to change the past. No amount of anger or regret would make them call your name as part of that debut lineup.
When they reached out to you again, it wasnât an apology, but it was an offer. A chance.
This time, you considered it. Not for them. Not for their approval. For you.
You accepted the role as the groupâs producer.
And with it, you walked into that building again â older, wiser, and stronger than youâd ever been. No longer chasing someone elseâs dream, but building your own.
*
Jihoon glanced away from the computer screen as the sound of the door opening caught his attention. His eyes softened at the sight of you walking in, balancing a plastic bag in one hand and a tray of coffees in the other. Youâd texted him earlier, saying youâd bring something as a sign of gratitude for his help with the lyrics.
"You really didnât have to do this," Jihoon said, getting up from his chair and settling on the couch across from you.
"I know," you replied with a grin, pulling out the contents of the bag. Cans of Coke, takeout food, snacks, and the coffees youâd promised. "But Bumzu oppaâs coming later, and I figured itâd be nice to have something for all of us."
Jihoon raised an eyebrow but didnât argue, watching as you neatly arranged everything on the table.
It was time to play the final demo â the one youâd be submitting to the production team. This was the moment that all the effort had been building up to. Jihoon and Bumzu had both contributed to it, so they were eager to give it one last listen.
"Should we play it?" Jihoon asked, looking over at you.
"Already sent it to you," you replied, tapping your phone with a small smile.
Jihoon pulled it up and hit play. The room filled with the melody youâd spent weeks perfecting. He listened intently, his eyes focused but his face honest, reacting naturally to every detail. His nose scrunched up whenever a particularly "cool" part played â a habit youâd noticed over time.
"It's your voice, huh?" he teased, glancing at you from the corner of his eye. "It's gonna be tough to direct them to sing it like you."
You laughed, half-embarrassed, half-flattered. "Well, theyâll just have to try their best, wonât they?"
When the song reached its bridge, Jihoon leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees. He nodded along, eyes flickering with something close to pride. "Let me be honest with you," he said as he cracked open a can of Coke, "youâre really good at writing."
Your cheeks warmed as you popped a piece of food into your mouth, trying to downplay your smile. "Coming from an amazing lyricist like you, oppa, that means a lot. Thank you."
Jihoon shook his head, chuckling softly. "No, Iâm serious. When you suggested that line â 'tearing all the tears as the ink, they won't be flowing when youâre with me' â I swear, I felt like I was sitting next to Kahlil Gibran."
Your eyes widened in shock, and you immediately waved him off, face flushing. "No way, donât say that! Youâre exaggerating!" you protested, but the laughter that escaped you betrayed how happy the compliment made you feel.
Just then, the door swung open, and Bumzu entered, already bopping his head to the rhythm of the demo still playing. He grinned as his eyes landed on the spread of food on the table.
"Are we having a feast or what?" he asked, rubbing his hands together as he walked in.
"Donât get too comfortable," Jihoon warned, shaking his head as he took a sip of his Coke.
But Bumzu had other plans. His eyes lit up mischievously as he pulled out his phone. "Iâm ordering alcohol!" he declared with far too much enthusiasm.
"Youâre not serious," Jihoon sighed, already feeling the weight of the night ahead.
But judging by the grin on Bumzu's face, it was too late to stop him.
Jihoon glanced at you, a resigned smile tugging at his lips. "Looks like itâs gonna be a long day."
"Or a long night," you added with a playful grin, taking another sip of your coffee.
Jihoon sighed deeply, rubbing the back of his neck as he stared at the empty spot where Bumzu had been just a few minutes ago. That hyung⊠he thought, his frustration barely contained.
Bumzu had a well-known habit of disappearing whenever he got too drunk. Heâd leave behind everything â his wallet, his coat, his phone, sometimes even his shoes â and vanish faster than anyone could react. By the time they noticed, it was too late to call him back. It was almost like a magic trick. But this time, heâd left more than his belongings. Heâd left you.
Jihoon glanced over at the studio couch, where you lay sprawled out, humming a familiar tune. It took him a second to recognize it, but then it clicked â it was a song youâd sung during your trainee days. He remembered it vividly because heâd been one of the monitors back then. Youâd poured so much heart into that performance, and he could still picture you on that small stage, eyes fierce with determination. Seeing you like this now, eyes hazy and limbs limp, made him feel strangely nostalgic.
âY/n, you need to go home,â he said, keeping his tone gentle but firm as he pulled out his phone. He scrolled through his contacts, searching for someone who might know your address. If he could get ahold of them, heâd call a cab and have them send you home.
âDonât wanna,â you mumbled, turning your face into the cushions. Your voice was muffled, but the stubbornness was clear.
Jihoon exhaled a soft laugh. It was his first time seeing you drunk, and honestly, it wasnât too different from how you acted when you were exhausted from practice. Stubborn, a little pouty, but somehow still cute. The only difference now was that you didnât seem to recognize who was in front of you.
âI already ordered a cab,â he said patiently, crouching down to meet your eye level. âWhen it gets here, make sure you tell the driver your address, okay?â
You blinked at him, squinting as if trying to identify him through a fog. âWho⊠are you again?â
Jihoon sighed, shaking his head with a small smile. Here we go again.
âItâs me, Jihoon,â he said, reaching out to pull you into a sitting position. âCome on, letâs head down to the lobby. Iâll find someone to help me get you in the cab.â
You didnât resist, though your body was like a ragdoll in his hands. Your legs wobbled like jelly, and he had to wrap his arm firmly around your waist to steady you. You leaned into him more than necessary, head resting on his shoulder like it was the most natural thing in the world.
âYou sound like Jihoon oppaâŠâ you mumbled, voice slurred but still clear enough for him to catch.
Jihoon snorted. âThatâs because I am Jihoon.â
You gasped dramatically, pulling back just far enough to look at him with wide, incredulous eyes. âNo way! Jihoon oppaâs too busy to be here.â You squinted at him, face scrunched in deep suspicion. âHeâs busy. All the time.â
Jihoon shook his head, thoroughly amused. âYou know Iâm standing right here, right?â
You ignored him completely, eyes distant as if you were lost in your own world. âHeâs busy,â you continued softly, like you were talking to yourself. âHeâs hardworking. I like himâŠâ
Jihoon froze.
His grip on you stayed firm, but his feet stopped moving.
What did you just say?
He blinked, waiting to see if youâd repeat it.
You didnât notice. You just kept talking, gaze unfocused, voice as light as a feather drifting in the air. âHeâs emotionally intelligent too⊠His songs are beautiful. Just like his personality.â You sighed dreamily, leaning on him a little more as your eyes fluttered closed. âI like him.â
Jihoonâs heart did something strange â a sharp thud followed by an odd, weightless feeling in his chest.
Did you⊠just say you like me?
He stared at you, his brain struggling to keep up with what heâd just heard. He opened his mouth, but no words came out. He didnât even know what to say.
Suddenly, the elevator doors at the end of the hallway slid open, revealing Soonyoung. His wide, curious eyes zeroed in on the sight of Jihoon half-holding, half-carrying you down the hall.
âWhoa, whoa, whoa,â Soonyoung said, stepping out with a dramatic point in Jihoonâs direction. âWhat is this? You got her drunk? You donât even drink!â
âPlease,â Jihoon muttered, already feeling the headache coming on.
âWhat happened to her?â Soonyoung asked, stepping closer, his expression twisting with mock suspicion. âDonât tell me you twoââ
âIt was Bumzu hyung,â Jihoon cut in, glaring at him. âHe disappeared like he always does. Left everything behind, including her.â He adjusted his grip on you, trying to keep you upright.
Soonyoung tilted his head, eyeing you both like he was still trying to piece it all together. Then he grinned, mischief practically radiating from him. âWell, well, well,â he teased, his grin only growing wider. âNeed help, Romeo?â
Jihoon shot him a look that could freeze fire. âDonât start.â
âFine, fine,â Soonyoung said with a laugh, hands raised in mock surrender. âIâll help you get her to the cab.â
With Soonyoungâs help, Jihoon managed to get you into the back seat of the cab. The driver asked for your address, but Jihoon glanced at you, still half-asleep, lips barely moving as you mumbled something incoherent.
âIâll send it to him,â Jihoon said, already pulling out his phone to text the driver the address.
âYou sure you donât want a ride back, Jihoon-ah?â Soonyoung offered, leaning his arm on the open car door. âI can drop you off.â
âNah,â Jihoon said, still glancing at you as the driver confirmed the address. âI need to walk.â
âPfft, walk? You sound like an old man,â Soonyoung teased, slapping Jihoonâs back.
âGo home, bye,â Jihoon grumbled, waving him off.
Once the cab drove away, Jihoon stood still for a moment, letting the cool night air wash over him.
I like him.
Her words echoed in his mind, circling like a melody on repeat. He rubbed his hands together slowly, eyes on the sidewalk ahead of him.
He stuffed his hands into his coat pockets and started walking, his breath coming out in small clouds in the cold air. No one else was around, and the only sound was the soft crunch of his sneakers on the pavement.
His heart thudded in his chest, steadier now but still louder than usual.
A small, almost imperceptible smile tugged at the corner of his lips.
He walked slowly, taking his time. He needed the fresh air, sure. But more than that, he needed time to process the whirlwind of emotions swirling inside him.
Because no matter how hard he tried, he couldnât stop replaying your voice in his mind.
I like him.
*
The next morning, you sent Jihoon a text.
"Thank you for getting me home safely, oppa."
You didnât remember much from that night, only flashes of you leaning on someone and the faint scent of his familiar cologne. Since youâd heard Bumzu vanished early as usual, it had to be Jihoon who took care of you. Still, knowing how busy he was, you didnât expect a reply. Instead, you quickly busied yourself with work, pushing the lingering embarrassment aside.
A few days later, you were knee-deep in packing boxes. You were preparing to move to a new apartment, one closer to the company, which would make commuting easier. With help from a couple of friends, the packing went faster than expected. They chatted and teased you as you sorted through your things.
âHey, whatâs this?â one of your friends asked, reaching for a small, worn-out envelope sitting on the corner of your desk.
Your heart jumped in panic. You rushed over, snatching it before she could take a closer look. âAh, itâs nothing,â you said quickly, slipping it into your bag.
âSuspicious~â she sang, narrowing her eyes playfully.
âItâs nothing important,â you insisted, shoving it deep into your bag.
Your phone buzzed on the table, drawing you out of your thoughts. It was a message from Jihoon.
"Any update on your latest song?"
You quickly typed a reply.
"Not yet, but Iâm sure theyâll accept it soon. Theyâve been slow lately."
The production team was notorious for taking their time, so you werenât too worried. Besides, you were currently caught up in another project with a different artist, and following up with the production team wasnât your priority.
Just as you were about to put your phone away, another text from Jihoon popped up.
"I want to discuss a song with you. Are you free now?"
You glanced at the mess of boxes around you and snapped a quick photo.
"Iâm moving out!"
This time, Jihoon didnât text back. He called.
Your eyes widened as you stared at the screen. Heâs calling me? Jihoon rarely called, even when it was urgent. Curious, you picked up.
âHello?â you answered.
âYouâre moving? To where?â His voice was clear and steady, but there was an undertone of surprise.
You explained your new place, telling him it was just a short walk from the company. It was more convenient and would save you time commuting to work.
âThatâs great,â Jihoon said, his tone sounding warmer than usual. âI live around that area too.â
âReally?â you asked, a little surprised.
âYeah, weâll be neighbors,â he said with a chuckle.
For some reason, the thought of living close to him made you feel oddly self-conscious.
âBy the way,â you added, feeling a bit braver now, âhow did you know my address that night? I donât remember giving it to you. Iâm so sorry for the trouble!â
You cringed as you recalled the fuzzy details of that night. The idea of him seeing you in a drunken, messy state made you want to disappear. He doesn't even drink, and I was a whole disaster.
His soft laughter rumbled through the phone, and you felt your face heat up.
âI got it from HR,â he admitted, still chuckling. âI basically terrorized him until he gave it to me since you wouldnât say a word.â
You gasped in shock, both at his method and at the mental image of Jihoon pestering HR. âYou did what?!â
âDonât worry. I didnât break any rules⊠I think,â he teased, his voice laced with mischief. âI had to make sure you got home safely.â
Your chest warmed, a small smile tugging at your lips. âThank you for that,â you said softly.
âDonât mention it,â Jihoon replied, his voice quieter now, like heâd tilted his head against the phone.
After a brief pause, you brought up the song. âAbout the song you wanted to discuss, I can stop by your studio tonight if that works for you.â
âNot necessary,â Jihoon said firmly. âI should be the one going to your studio. Iâm the one asking for help.â
A laugh escaped you. This guy and his principlesâŠ
âAlright,â you agreed. âIâll be at the company around 8. Iâll text you when Iâm there.â
âGot it,â he replied. âSee you then.â
The call ended, but the lingering warmth from his voice stayed with you. You glanced at the boxes scattered around the room and then at your bag â the one with that letter hidden inside.
*
Jihoon wasnât sure when it started. At first, it was subtle â small changes that no one, not even he, noticed. It might have been the day you casually explained your creative process to him.
âYou do what?â he asked, his brows raised in mild disbelief.
âI create a mind map,â you explained as you scribbled on a large whiteboard, drawing lines to connect scattered concepts and ideas. âThen, I gather samples that match the vibe. It helps me stay focused when I start composing the beat.â
Jihoon leaned back in his chair, arms crossed, watching you with quiet fascination. It wasnât that he didnât understand the logic behind it â itâs just that heâd never bother to do it. Heâd always gone straight into producing, trusting his instincts to guide him. But the way you did it⊠it was methodical yet creative, disciplined yet free.
âThereâs always a reason why youâre a genius,â you muttered, focused on sketching another connection on the board.
He blinked, surprised by your words, and then chuckled softly. âYou mean because Iâm lazy?â
You nodded, grinning at him from behind the whiteboard. âExactly.â
For some reason, that moment stuck with him.
A week later, Seungkwan walked into Jihoon's studio with a cup of iced Americano for him â only to freeze in shock. Jihoon was standing at the whiteboard. Jihoon. At a whiteboard.
âWhat⊠is this?â Seungkwan asked, his eyes squinting like he was seeing an illusion.
âMind mapping,â Jihoon replied casually, drawing another circle on the board and labeling it "Bridge Vibe â Sentimental, but not cheesy.â
Seungkwan gawked at him. âWho are you? And what have you done to Lee Jihoon?â
Jihoon just smirked and said nothing.
But that wasnât all. Slowly but surely, the changes started piling up.
One day, Seungcheol walked past Jihoonâs studio and did a double-take. Jihoon was⊠eating dessert? A strawberry shortcake.
âJihoon, you good?â Seungcheol asked, leaning on the doorframe, arms folded.
âHmm?â Jihoon didnât even glance up, scooping up another bite of cake while scrolling through his phone. âYeah, why?â
âDessert. Youâre eating dessert.â Seungcheolâs voice was filled with suspicion, like he was trying to uncover a secret mission.
Jihoon raised a brow, slowly lifting his gaze from his phone. âAnd?â
âAnd you donât eat dessert.â
âPeople change, hyung,â Jihoon muttered, stuffing another bite into his mouth.
âPeople change, but this much?â Seungcheol muttered to himself as he walked away, still glancing back every few steps like heâd just seen a cat bark.
The biggest shock, however, came when Jihoon suddenly registered for a shooting practice course. Yes, shooting. With a real gun.
Jeonghan was the first to hear about it. âYouâre lying,â he deadpanned as he sipped his coffee in the practice room.
âSwear on my solo album,â Seungkwan replied, eyes wide with disbelief. âIâm serious. Jihoon-hyung signed up for it. I even saw the receipt.â
âWhy?â Joshua asked, looking genuinely concerned.
âThatâs what Iâm saying!â Seungkwan exclaimed, waving his arms like a detective on a dramatic reveal. âJihoon. With a gun. Do you know how dangerous that is for us? He already has that death glare.â
âItâs always the quiet ones,â Jeonghan muttered, rubbing his temple. âThe quiet ones are the scariest.â
When Jihoon casually walked into practice later, everyoneâs eyes were on him. It wasnât unusual for him to receive attention, but this time it was different. They were looking at him like he was a time bomb.
âWhat?â Jihoon asked, his eyes darting between them.
âAre you going through something?â Jeonghan asked cautiously, stepping forward like he was about to have a serious intervention.
âDo we need to talk, hyung?â Seungkwan chimed in, his voice filled with the kind of concern, reserve for someone about to shave their head or move to another country.
Jihoon gave them both a blank stare. âNo.â
âThen why are you suddenly into guns?â
âHobby.â
The room went silent.
âSince when do you pick up hobbies?â Seungkwan whispered dramatically.
Jihoon ignored them, walking straight to his spot in the practice room. He put down his bag and pulled out his phone. But as he scrolled, he caught himself smiling. He thought of you showing him how to gather "inspiration" from unusual places. "Do something new. It'll help you create." Thatâs what youâd told him once. He didnât think much of it then, but somehow, it got to him.
The changes didnât stop.
Some days, heâd leave his studio just to walk to a nearby cafe. Normally, heâd stay locked in his workspace for hours, only emerging to grab a quick meal. But these days, heâd grab a coffee, pick up your favorite dessert, and drop it off at your studio.
âBrought you this,â heâd say, setting it down on your desk like it was no big deal.
âThanks, oppa!â youâd chirp, smiling brightly. Heâd linger for a moment, watching you open it with childlike excitement. But before you could say anything else, heâd wave it off like it was no big deal. âAlright, Iâm going back.â
It became a routine. Occasionally, he'd sit with you for a bit. Not as a co-producer, but as a friend. Heâd watch as you flipped through manhwa on your tablet, eyes focused but relaxed.
âWhatâs that?â he asked once, tilting his head.
âA new series,â you replied, not even looking away. âYouâd like it. It's about a musician who time-travels to fix his regrets.â
Jihoon raised a brow, interest piqued. âSounds cheesy.â
âItâs not. The writer knows their stuff,â you said, eyes still glued to the screen.
He glanced at it once, intending to leave. But then he sat down. One episode turned into two. Before he knew it, you were both huddled on the couch, scrolling through each new chapter together.
âNext chapterâs locked,â you muttered, annoyed.
âHere,â Jihoon said, tapping his phone. âIâll unlock it.â
You looked up, wide-eyed. âOppa, did you just buy coins for a manhwa?â
He blinked, realization dawning on him. â...Yeah.â
The two of you stared at each other. Then, laughter. It echoed in the studio like bells, crisp and light.
âYouâre not yourself lately, oppa.â you teased, nudging his side.
He glanced at you, a small smile tugging at his lips. âYeah,â he muttered under his breath. âIâm not.â
Jihoon didnât notice stares or whispered theories. He was too busy trying to figure out when heâd started picking up your habits. It wasnât a conscious decision, but somehow, those little details had wormed their way into his life. The desserts, the manhwa breaks, the habit of sketching ideas before starting a track â theyâd all become part of his process.
But it wasnât just that.
He liked the way your voice sounded when you explained your reasoning for a certain sample choice. He liked how you hummed unconsciously when you were in the zone. He liked that you talked to him as a person, not just as "Woozi"
He... liked you.
But that was a realization he wasnât quite ready to face yet.
Weeks later, Jihoon found himself staring at you. You were in the recording booth, headphones on, singing one of his demos meant for another female artist. The glow of the studio lights softened your features, and your focused expression drew him in more than it should have. His music engineer called his name, snapping him out of his thoughts, but Jihoon's eyes lingered on you for a moment longer. You glanced up through the glass, catching his gaze, and he quickly looked away, hoping you hadn't noticed.
"Are you okay, oppa? You seem... distracted," your voice crackled through the intercom, gentle but curious.
Jihoon leaned forward, pressing the talk button, masking his flustered state with a calm tone. "I'm fine. Just a bit tired. How about trying that line once more, Y/n?"
You nodded, adjusting your headphones and taking a breath before singing again. Your voice flowed smoothly, each note perfectly placed, your delivery effortless but full of heart. Jihoon leaned back in his chair, arms folded, eyes locked on you as you sang. It was a flawless take, but his mind wasnât on the technicalities anymore.
He used to feel nothing but pride when hearing your voice â pride in your technique, your breathing, the way you controlled every note with precision. Youâd always had that spark, even as a trainee, and he'd seen it from the beginning. Every time he heard you sing, he'd felt it â pride. Just pride.
But now, there was something more.
His chest felt warmer than it should have. The rise and fall of your voice, the slight quiver at the end of a sustained note, the way your eyes stayed focused on the lyrics in front of you â it all felt personal. Intimate. Like you were singing to him, just him, even though it wasnât even a love song.
His brows furrowed, lips pressed into a thin line. What is this feeling? It wasnât pride, at least not the kind he was used to. This was something else entirely, something that crept in without permission. His heart felt oddly light, yet unsteady, like it was tiptoeing on a fragile edge.
He glanced at the music engineer, pretending to focus on the control board. But in reality, his mind was stuck on you â your voice, your presence, and that inexplicable warmth spreading in his chest.
Why do I feel like this?
The song ended. You glanced at him, your head tilted, waiting for feedback. He pressed the button again, his voice coming out steadier than he expected. "That was perfect. Letâs keep that take."
"Okay, oppa." You smiled, and for a second, he forgot how to breathe.
His heart did something strange. Something unfamiliar.
Fluttering?
No, that couldnât be it. It shouldnât be it. But as you removed your headphones, flashing him one last smile before stepping out of the booth, he knew it was too late to deny it.
He wasn't just proud of you anymore.
He was falling for you.
*
You found yourself in a whirlwind of confusion as your phone buzzed non-stop with notifications. At first, you thought it was some group chat chaos, but it didn't take long to realize it was something much bigger. Your social media follower count had shot up drastically, and it wasnât slowing down. Annoyed but curious, you muted the notifications and scrolled through the mentions.
One message from a friend caught your eye. It was a link to a short clip from the HYBE Producing Camp Documentary â the event you attended a month ago. It had been a major industry event featuring global producers collaborating with HYBE's own producers and idol-composers. Youâd thought nothing of it at the time, just another chance to grow and network. But apparently, that one clip of you had gone viral.
"The Pretty Producer of Sheice."
That was the title plastered across multiple posts and video edits. Clips of you talking, working on a beat, or simply smiling in the background had been cut and edited with captions praising your visuals and youthful look. Comments flooded in.
"Sheâs so pretty, why isnât she in the group??"
"She looks younger than some of producers."
"Wait, she's a main producer? Are you kidding me? Goals."
You froze. It wasnât exactly bad attention, but it felt... off. Too much. Too fast. You immediately put your account on private, heart racing as you reviewed your posts. Thankfully, it was all clean â just travel shots, song credits, and random hangouts with friends. Still, it felt like someone had opened a window into your private life without warning.
The teasing started the moment you walked into the studio.
"Ah, look who's here. The Pretty Producer of Sheice has arrived!" Bumzu announced with a grin as soon as you sat down.
You rolled your eyes, unpacking your laptop. "Donât start, oppa."
"Oh, but why not? Itâs a once-in-a-lifetime title. âThe Pretty Producer of Sheiceâ â it even sounds like a K-drama," he teased, leaning in with a playful smirk. "You should print it on your business card."
You tried to brush it off, but the more you ignored him, the worse it got. Bumzu was relentless when he sensed weakness.
"Honestly, if theyâd just put you in the group, youâd have been the visual and the main vocal. What a waste, huh?"
That comment hit deeper than he probably intended. Your eyes lowered, fingers fiddling with the corner of your notepad. The words came out before you could stop them.
"I'm sorry⊠I didnât debut," you muttered, your voice quieter than usual.
The shift in mood was immediate. Bumzu blinked, his teasing smile fading into surprise.
"Ah⊠I didnât mean it like that," he said, his tone full of regret. "I crossed the line. Iâm sorry."
You shook your head quickly, your chest tightening. "No, itâs not you. I shouldâve worked harder back then."
Bumzu stared at you for a moment, his jaw tensing like he wanted to argue. He let out a long sigh, rubbing the back of his neck. "Thatâs not on you. None of that was on you."
You didnât respond. There wasnât anything to say. The past was the past, and no amount of "what ifs" would change it. But guilt was a stubborn companion, one that didnât leave just because someone told it to.
Bumzu glanced toward the door, clearly uncomfortable with the weight of the conversation. He wasnât good with serious moments like this, but he cared. You knew that much.
"Iâm heading out for a sec," he muttered, walking toward the hall.
As he opened the door, he nearly bumped into Jihoon, who was holding a plastic bag in one hand and his phone in the other. His eyes darted between Bumzu and the room behind him.
"Oh, hyung? Wanna join us for lunch?" Jihoon raised the bag with a light smile, oblivious to the shift in the atmosphere.
Bumzu put a hand on Jihoonâs shoulder, stopping him. "Donât go in there yet. Give it ten minutes."
Jihoon tilted his head, confused. "Why?"
"Just⊠trust me." Bumzu gave him a pat on the back before walking off.
Jihoon frowned, glancing toward the studio door, but he didnât go in. Instead, he leaned against the wall, phone in hand, scrolling mindlessly as he waited. Ten minutes never felt so long.
You pulled your hoodie over your head the moment Jihoon stepped into the studio. Quick and quiet, you shoved the crumpled tissues from the table to the farthest corner, like they could disappear if you just pushed hard enough. You coughedâloud and deliberateârubbing your nose to sell the act before glancing at him.
"Hey, oppa," you greeted, forcing a casual smile.
Jihoon paused in the doorway, eyes narrowing slightly as he looked at you. His gaze lingered on your face longer than usual, like he could see through every little move youâd made to hide yourself.
"You caught a cold?" he asked, stepping further in.
You nodded, still rubbing your nose. "Yeah, but donât worry, itâs not contagious." You tried to sound convincing, but your voice cracked a little at the end.
Jihoon shrugged, pulling out the food heâd brought along. The faint aroma of warm soup and rice filled the room as he set it on the table. "Shouldâve told me. I wouldâve gotten you some porridge."
He glanced at you once more before unwrapping the utensils, eyes still cautious, still watchful. You knew that look. Jihoon wasn't the type to press you for answers, but he wasn't clueless either.
"What's up with you and Bumzu hyung?" he asked casually, opening the lid of his soup.
"Nothing serious. Just⊠song stuff," you mumbled, hoping that would be enough.
Jihoon paused, side-eyeing you as he stirred the soup with his spoon. "Hyung told me to wait outside for ten minutes."
Your eyes twitched, knowing exactly where this was going.
"And I waited," he continued flatly, tilting his head toward you. "So, what's wrong?"
You hesitated, fingers fidgeting with the edge of your hoodie sleeves. It was stupid, you thought. No reason to make a big deal out of it. But Jihoon was still staring at you like he had all day to wait.
"He joked about me debuting with Sheice," you finally admitted, eyes locked on the food in front of you. "It was just a joke, but it kind of⊠crossed the line, I guess."
Jihoon hummed, lips pursed in thought. "Yeah, I could see how that'd be awkward," he said, nodding slowly.
"Itâs not like it really bothers me anymore," you said, more to convince yourself than him. "But sometimes I think⊠maybe he still feels guilty about it. I donât want him to think he failed me or something. He did everything he could."
Jihoon set his spoon down and leaned back, his eyes on you again. They werenât sharp this time, just steady. Calm.
"Do you think he still sees you that way?" Jihoon asked.
"I donât know." You exhaled slowly, tilting your head back to stare at the ceiling. "But sometimes, I feel like people still do. Like, they pity me because I didnât debut. I don't want that." You glanced at him then, something raw in your eyes. "Do you feel sorry for me, oppa?"
Jihoon blinked once, twice, like it was the dumbest question he'd ever heard. He snorted, picking up his spoon again.
"Why would I pity you?" he said simply. "Youâre an amazing composer. If anything, I should pity myself for having to compete with you."
That startled a laugh out of you, soft but real. "Compete? With me?"
"Yeah." He raised an eyebrow, smirking a little. "Look at how fast youâve grown. If we compare how long weâve both been in the industry, youâre catching up to me too fast."
A grin tugged at your lips, warmth spreading through your chest. "Then, thank you, sunbae," you said with a playful bow, calling him the title of a senior in the industry.
Jihoon waved it off, shaking his head like it physically hurt him. "Donât do that. Just eat before it gets cold."
You chuckled, grabbing a spoon and opening your own container. The steam hit your face, warm and comforting. You stirred it a little before taking a small sip, sighing at the familiar taste.
"By the way," Jihoon said suddenly, his voice casual but steady. "Debut or no debut, you wouldâve been great either way."
You glanced up, caught off guard.
He met your gaze, eyes clear and sure. "Youâre too good to be held back by something like that. You're already doing amazing things now."
His words sat in the air for a moment, slow and deliberate, like they were meant to be heard, remembered, and tucked away. Your face felt hot, and it wasn't from the steam rising from the soup.
"Thank you, oppa," you muttered, hiding behind another spoonful of rice.
Jihoon tilted his head, watching you for a second longer before returning to his food. "No need to thank me. Just the truth."
But you kept your head down, eating quietly as your heart thudded a little louder than it should have.
*
Your heart pounded harder with each second, panic settling deep in your chest. You couldn't find it â the letter. The letter that held years of feelings and the one thing you swore you'd never let anyone see.
Your hands tore through your bag for the third time, fingers digging into every pocket, but it wasnât there. Your breathing quickened. Think. Think. Where did you last have it? Your mind replayed the past few days in flashes.
I put it in my bag, didnât I?
Your heart felt like it might burst out of your chest. You stood, pacing back and forth in your small apartment before you made a decision. The company. It has to be there.
The moment you stepped into the quiet, dimly lit company building, you felt the weight of the silence pressing on you. It was nearly 3 a.m., the kind of hour where ghosts of mistakes haunted you the loudest. Every creak of your footsteps echoed down the halls as you retraced your daily route. Your eyes scanned the floors like you were searching for a dropped contact lens, desperate for any sign of the letter.
Where could it be?
Panic rose higher. If anyone finds it⊠You didnât even want to finish the thought. It wasnât just your name on that letter. It had his name too.
You stopped walking, closing your eyes for a second as you felt your heart clench. You knew exactly whose name was scrawled inside that letter. Lee Jihoon.
A confession letter. The one you wrote years ago as a trainee but never had the courage to give him. Somehow, instead of throwing it away like a normal, rational person, you kept it like it was some kind of sentimental treasure. A reminder of those fleeting moments when you believed in things like "what if."
Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.
You squeezed your eyes shut, taking a deep breath. Okay. Think. Where did you take your bag?
Your eyes shot open.
His studio.
Your stomach twisted into a knot. The worst possible place for a lost love letter. If Jihoon found it... No, no, no. Your feet spun you around, and you half-ran, half-speed-walked straight to his studio. The hallway stretched longer than usual, each step filled with growing dread.
Please be unlocked. Please be unlocked.
When you finally arrived, you tried the handle. It didnât budge. Locked. It meant you couldnât search, but it also meant he might be the one to find it. You pressed your forehead against the cool metal of the door, closing your eyes as you mumbled, "Why did I have to keep that stupid letter?"
You stayed there for a moment, face buried in your hands. It was too much. If he read it, if he knew youâd been crushing on him for years, youâd never be able to face him again. Forget quitting the companyâyou'd have to leave the country.
You went home that night but didnât sleep. Your mind was a constant loop of what ifs and heâs going to find it. You called in sick the next day, and the day after that too. You were too paralyzed with embarrassment to step foot into the company. You lay in bed, scrolling aimlessly on your phone, hoping, praying that no one would text you with "OMG, did you write this?" or "You dropped something important, lol."
But there was silence. No texts from Jihoon. No invites for lunch. No coffee requests. No random desserts dropped off at your studio.
Thatâs not like him.
Your heart sank.
Was he avoiding you? Did he already find it?
You buried your face in a pillow, letting out a groan so loud it echoed in your small apartment. Why am I like this? You scolded yourself, biting your lip as you tried not to spiral further.
You shouldâve burned it. The day they told you that you wouldnât debut, you shouldâve set it on fire and watched it turn to ash. But no, you kept it like a fool, like a keepsake of dreams that were never meant to be.
Tears of frustration pricked at your eyes, but you refused to let them fall. Instead, you squeezed your eyes shut and let your mind drift to the past, to the day you met Lee Jihoon for the first time.
He wasnât like the other producers. Everyone knew him as the genius behind Seventeenâs hits, but he didnât carry himself like someone with that much success. He was humble. He'd visit the trainees during evaluations and offer advice, not just on vocals but on mental strength too. "Donât be too hard on yourself. Progress isnât always fast, but itâs still progress," heâd said once, looking right at you.
You remembered that moment too vividly. His eyes were sharp but kind, his tone firm but gentle. He never talked down to any of you, never made anyone feel small. He didnât have to do that. He didnât owe anyone his time. But he did it anyway.
Thatâs when it started, you realized. Thatâs when I started falling for him.
You had tried to crush itâtried to leave it behind when you left the trainee life. But love, it seemed, was a stubborn thing. It stayed with you. It followed you into every recording session, every lunch break where he'd pop in with a "What are you eating today?" It lingered in every glance you stole at him when he got too caught up in work to notice anyone else was watching.
And now, after all that, he might know.
You let out another groan, curling into a ball on your bed. Please, please, please, don't let him find it. Don't let him know.
But as you lay there, face buried in the blanket, your phone buzzed. You ignored it at first, too emotionally exhausted to care. It buzzed again. You reached out, grabbed it, and squinted at the screen.
It was from Jihoon.
"You feeling better?"
Your heart stopped for a beat. Then, it kicked up double-time.
Is he asking just because I havenât been in? you wondered. Or is this about the letter?
You stared at the message like it might explode. Your fingers hovered over the keyboard, second-guessing every response you could possibly send. Should you pretend nothing was wrong? Should you ask him directly?
Finally, you typed back,
"Yeah, just needed a break. Thanks for checking in."
Your eyes stayed locked on the screen, waiting, dreading, hoping he wouldnât bring it up. But seconds later, his reply popped up.
"Okay. Come eat with me tomorrow."
Your heart jumped. Does that mean he didnât find it?
Or worseâdid it mean he did find it and was waiting for you to confess?
You flopped back onto the bed, phone on your chest, staring blankly at the ceiling. No sleep for you tonight, that was for sure.
*
âI saw it.â
Jihoonâs words hit you like a bolt of lightning. You froze, your body stiffening as you sat on the couch. Your eyes darted to him, heart thudding so loud it echoed in your ears. He saw it?
âY-You did?!â you blurted, sitting up so fast you nearly gave him a heart attack. His eyes widened in surprise at your sudden outburst. He hadnât expected that kind of reaction from you.
Jihoon watched you with mild confusion as you rubbed your face aggressively, letting out a muffled groan that sounded oddly like a character from an anime. Your face was flushed, a deep red spreading across your cheeks, and you refused to meet his eyes.
"You okay? You look kinda⊠flustered," he asked, leaning forward slightly, his eyes scanning you like you might be running a fever.
You sucked in a sharp breath and suddenly shouted, "I am!" Your hands shot into the air in a dramatic fist-pumping motion.
He blinked at you, entirely thrown off by your antics.
"When did you see it?" you asked in a rush, your voice laced with nerves.
"This morning," he replied casually, watching for your reaction.
You groaned like the world was crumbling around you, burying your face in your hands as you muttered something incoherent. Your words came out so fast and garbled that he could barely understand you. It was like you were speaking in fast-forward while trying to sink into the couch cushions to disappear.
âIâm so sorry,â you muttered, peeking out from behind your hands, only to bury yourself back in. "I have no courage to face you. I should've burned it. I should've burned it."
Jihoon blinked in confusion, tilting his head. âHuh? What are you talking about?â
You lifted your head, your eyes wide with a mixture of horror and disbelief. âDonât act like you donât know! You saw it! I sent you so many letters before! How could you tell me not to worry after you saw it?!â
ââŠLetters?â Jihoon leaned back, his eyebrows knitting together in confusion. His head tilted as if he was trying to piece together a puzzle with missing pieces.
He was about to mention your viraled video from the producing camp month ago. He saw it this morning.
"Yes, the letters!" you said, your voice higher than usual. "The ones I used to leave near the bathroom! I sent them for you, Jihoon! For you!"
His eyes squinted as if his brain had finally caught up. Slowly, his eyes widened. "Wait. You were the one sending those letters?"
You didnât answer, but the silence was all he needed. His gaze shifted to his desk, and then, like a lightbulb switching on, his expression changed. His eyes darted to the small box on his shelfâthe one filled with old, unopened envelopes heâd kept for years.
âThese?â he asked, walking to the desk and pulling out the box. He lifted it, glancing between you and the letters as realization struck him like a bolt of lightning.
Your eyes widened in horror, your breath caught in your throat. "You kept them?!"
He turned toward you, his lips twitching with something between shock and disbelief. âYou mean⊠these letters were from you?â He opened the box, pulling out one of the older letters, his fingers carefully brushing over the familiar handwriting. He could almost hear your voice in his head now, realizing that the tone of the letters, the way certain phrases were writtenâit was you. It had always been you.
Jihoon looked back at you, his voice soft with wonder. âAll this time⊠you were the one sending these?â
You buried your face in your hands, your whole body curling into the couch like a ball. Your ears burned red, and you muttered, âYes, yes, it was me, okay? Iâm sorry. I was young and stupid. I thought it was cute back then.â Your voice cracked with embarrassment. âI thought I could be bold through paper, but I couldnât say a single thing to your face.â
Jihoon blinked, his gaze softening as he stared at you. Her? he thought to himself. All those letters he used to read when he was exhausted, those kind words that gave him strength when he was burnt out. The sender was you. You.
He placed the box on the table and picked up the envelope you'd pulled from under the couch earlierâthe one that had started this whole mess, when you realized he wasn't talking about the letter then you had searched for it around his studio. His fingers moved to open it, his eyes darting to you for permission.
You saw his intent and bolted upright. "Wait, don't read that one!" You reached for it, but he quickly lifted it out of reach, his eyes narrowing playfully.
"Why not?" he asked, his voice tinged with amusement now.
"Because!" you yelled, grabbing for it as he lifted it higher. "It's different from the others! Just give it back!"
"Different how?" he teased, still holding it above his head like he was holding candy away from a child. âMore heartfelt? More honest?â
âOppa!â you pleaded, standing on your toes, your hands gripping his arm in desperation.
But it was too late. He had already opened the envelope and pulled out the neatly folded letter. His eyes scanned the page, his playful smirk slowly disappearing with each line he read. His lips parted as his eyes moved slowly across the words, soaking in every single confession, every single feeling you'd buried in the ink.
Iâve liked you since the first day I saw you. Iâve tried to stop, I really did, but you kept being kind. You kept being you.
His heart pounded. His fingers tightened around the paper. His throat felt dry.
If youâre reading this, Iâm either braver than Iâve ever been or the most cowardly Iâve ever felt. Because I never had the courage to tell you to your face. So this letter is my last attempt. Iâm sorry it took me so long.
Jihoon swallowed the lump in his throat. His heart felt too big for his chest, like it might burst from the sheer weight of what heâd just read.
He looked at you. You stood there, eyes squeezed shut, looking like you wanted the ground to swallow you whole. You were biting your lip, your face still stained red with embarrassment.
"All this timeâŠâ he whispered, his eyes never leaving you. âYouâve liked me since then?"
You didnât answer, didnât move, didnât breathe. You just stood there, eyes squeezed shut like a kid waiting for the storm to pass.
âDo you still like me now?â he asked softly, stepping toward you. His voice was so gentle it barely registered at first. It wasnât teasing. It wasnât mocking. It was⊠sincere.
Your eyes slowly opened, and you looked up at him, lips parting in surprise.
He took another step toward you, now close enough that you could feel the warmth of his presence. His eyes searched yours for an answer. âDo you still like me?â
You bit your lip, eyes darting to the side. Youâd come this farâmight as well jump off the cliff now.
ââŠYes,â you whispered. Your eyes flickered back to him like you were bracing for rejection. âI still do.â
For a second, neither of you moved. Silence hung in the air, heavy but not uncomfortable. Jihoonâs gaze softened, his lips tugging into a small, thoughtful smile.
"You're such an idiot," he said with a small laugh, his eyes crinkling with warmth.
Your heart stopped. "Excuse me?!"
"I mean, you couldâve just told me," he said, taking another step forward, so close you had to tilt your head up to meet his eyes. âYou think Iâm scary or something?â
âBack then, yes!â you blurted, cheeks heating up. âYou are Woozi of Seventeen! You were the genius idol-producer. Who was I supposed to be?â
His eyes searched yours like he was seeing you for the first time. âYou were you,â he said, his voice so soft it made your breath hitch. His gaze flickered to your lips for a second, then back to your eyes. âAnd youâre still you.â
He lifted the letter slightly. "Do you want me to burn this?"
You nodded weakly, still not trusting yourself to speak.
"Too bad," he said, tucking it into his pocket.
"Heyâ!"
"Iâm keeping it," he said firmly, his eyes locking on yours. "Iâm keeping all of them."
This time, it was Jihoonâs face that turned a little red. His gaze dropped, but his smile lingered.
âCall it my treasure.â
*
The recording studio buzzed with quiet excitement as the final track of Seventeenâs upcoming album played through the speakers. It was a masterpieceâa blend of styles and sounds that showcased every memberâs unique color. But there was something else everyone noticed.
Your name.
There it was, listed as a contributor on almost every track. It wasnât the first time youâd worked on Seventeenâs albums, but this was different. Your involvement was undeniable, and the members couldnât resist poking fun at Jihoon for it.
Mingyu leaned back in his chair, his grin wide as ever. âLooks like you donât need Bumzu hyung anymore, huh?â His voice was full of mischief, his eyes locked on Jihoon.
âI need him!â Jihoon shot back, sitting up straight, his eyes darting toward Bumzu as if to prove his point. âDonât twist it, Mingyu.â
But it was too late. That one comment had already ignited a chain reaction.
âYeah, right,â Seungkwan snorted from across the room, his legs kicked up on the armrest of the couch. âHyungâs been acting brand new ever since she started showing up in the credits.â He made air quotes around she as if it wasnât already clear who he meant.
âNext thing you know, Jihoon will start writing love songs,â Joshua teased, his smile too innocent to be trustworthy.
âCheck the tracklist,â Jeonghan chimed in, scrolling on his phone with a knowing smirk. âHe already did.â
The room erupted into laughter. Even Seokmin, who was trying to stay professional, ended up doubling over, clutching his stomach.
Jihoonâs ears turned red almost instantly, and he pressed his back against the couch, arms crossed, sinking as low as possible. âYâall are so annoying.â
âOh, weâre annoying?â Soonyoung cackled, standing up to point an accusatory finger at him. âYouâve been humming that one hook for weeks, and I thought it was just some random melody. But nope! Turns out itâs a love letter disguised as a chorus!â
âShut up.â Jihoon threw a pillow at him, but Soonyoung dodged it with ease, his laughter only getting louder.
Mingyu, never one to miss an opportunity, leaned forward on the table, resting his chin in his hands like he was about to spill some tea. âI mean, it makes sense now. Yâknow, after that news.â
Everyone knew exactly what that was.
It had been months since Soonyoung made his now-infamous declaration in their group chat. He sent a long written-text claimed it by TigerNews, complete with a dramatic âđ„BREAKING NEWSđ„â articles in their group chat.
Soonyoung had 'officially announced' the relationship with a fake headline that read, 'Seventeenâs Woozi and Rising Producer Y/N Confirm Relationship in Exclusive Interview with TigerNews' â complete with dramatic quotes and a grainy, zoomed-in photo of you two at the company cafe.
The chat had gone wild. Memes were shared. Jokes were made. No one was spared.
âCongratulations, Romeo and Juliet!â
Minghao had typed with so many heart emojis it made the whole chat lag.
âDonât embarrass them, hyung.â
Seungkwan had written right after, only to follow up with,
âActually, never mind. EMBARRASS THEM.â
Needless to say, the teasing had been relentless ever since.
âHonestly,â Jeonghan drawled, flipping his phone like it was nothing, âthis whole time, I was suspicious. My detective work was getting exhausting.â
âDetective work?â Seokmin scoffed. âYou were just being nosy.â
âAnd I was right,â Jeonghan fired back, tossing a gummy bear into his mouth with a triumphant grin.
Back in the present, Bumzu leaned back in his chair, arms crossed, his eyes locked on Jihoon. Unlike the others, his teasing had a sharper edge. "He actually does need me," Bumzu said with a grin so sly it could cut glass.
âSee?â Jihoon pointed at him like Bumzu was his last lifeline. âExactly!â
But Bumzu wasnât done. âHe needs me to make sure he keeps his hands to himself.â
The entire room went silent for half a second before absolute chaos broke loose. Seungkwanâs scream echoed like an airhorn. Mingyu banged on the table, his laughter so loud it could be heard in the hallway. Soonyoung was on the floor, rolling around like heâd just seen the funniest thing of his life.
âNOOOOâ!â Jihoonâs face burned bright red, his hands flying up to cover his eyes. He sank so low into the couch it looked like he was trying to disappear into the cushions. "I'M LEAVING!" he declared, attempting to get up, but Mingyu shoved him back down.
âStay right there, hyung.â Mingyu grinned like a cat that just cornered a mouse. âWeâre not done.â
Jeonghan leaned in, his eyes practically glittering with mischief. âSo tell me, Jihoon, how long have you been âneedingâ Bumzu hyung's supervision?â
âSHUT. UP.â Jihoon threw his second pillow, but Jeonghan caught it with one hand like it was nothing.
âOhoho, look at him!â Seokmin gasped, pointing like heâd seen a rare species in the wild. âLook at his face! Redder than a cherry!â
Bumzu leaned forward, his grin widening. âYou know, if you just admitted it, theyâd probably leave you alone.â
âThatâs a lie and you know it,â Jihoon shot back, glaring at him with the intensity of a supernova.
âYeah, youâre right,â Bumzu laughed, tossing a piece of candy into his mouth. âBut itâs still funny.â
For the next few minutes, the teasing didnât let up. Everyone had something to say, whether it was about your name in the credits or Jihoonâs âsecretâ love songs. They teased him about how much you were in his head, how his melodies were sounding âsuspiciously romanticâ lately, and how even his synth choices had more "color" than before.
Jihoon sat there, his face a permanent shade of red, trying not to combust. He leaned back against the couch, tilting his head up toward the ceiling, eyes closed like he was begging the universe to end his suffering.
"How am I supposed to survive this in the future?" he muttered to himself.
Bumzu clapped him on the shoulder, his grin far too wide. "Oh, buddy, this is just the beginning."
"Please stop," Jihoon groaned. âYouâre supposed to be on my side.â
âNah,â Bumzu said, shaking his head. âIâm on her side now.â
The room burst into chaos once again, and Jihoon could only bury his face in his hands, wondering how heâd survive the next album.
The end.

30 days
(Irene x Male Reader ft. TripleS Nakyoung)
Trigger warning: cheating
You were destined to fail. No way in hell would you be able to survive this ridiculous challenge. You knew that from day one. Especially with such a gorgeous wife like Irene.
The two of you had a bet going. Throughout November, neither of you were allowed to cum. The loser would face severe punishment. Which would be nothing new to you. But up until 10 minutes ago, you thought you had a chance to succeed. A slim chance. But a chance nonetheless. It could've been the first time in your life having the upper hand in the bedroom. Up until now, Irene always was in control. She always decided when and where and how often.
Which was fine to you, until around two months ago. Irene started to pay less attention to sex. The two times a week became once a week. And then, you went a couple of weeks without proper sex at all.
You were about to get worried. Rightfully so. Irene is a gorgeous, beautiful, sexy woman. And you know you aren't the best lover in the world, but it always seemed like Irene was satisfied with you.
Luckily, she suddenly brought up the topic of participating in this year's NNN challenge. No sex, no masturbating, no cumming for 30 days. Your reward? The chance of doing something, you've always wanted to do. Have sex with Irene the way you want to. Maybe for once be in control.
But all that now seems to almost suffocate you as you lie on your and your wife's bed. Your eyes staring up at the ceiling, but you're not really looking at it. Your crotch covered in cum, your dick already softening again. Your phone in your left hand.
You glance at it again. You couldn't help yourself. You met her a couple of days ago while picking up Irene from her music show appearance. The younger woman was talking to you, maybe even flirting? Now that you think back at it, that could've actually been possible.
Kim Nakyoung looked like a tease with those shorts that showed off her thighs. That shirt that showed off that midriff. And that tie that almost seemed to beg you to pull on it.
She was already sexy in person. But when you saw this picture 10 minutes ago, you knew you had lost.
You still remember all the things you thought about doing to her, which Irene would never let you do. Bend Nakyoung over a table, or just have your way with her, while she's on all fours on your bed. Making her ride your cock, while doing those body rolls she did during her performance. Even trying out how tight her ass is. And finally finishing off by painting her face, while Nakyoung plays with her clit at the same time.
You sigh heavily. Maybe Irene doesn't have to know? Would she ever find out if you just get yourself together and walk back into the living room? While still thinking about keeping your loss a secret, you hear the door open.
Before you can even blink, Irene is standing the room.
"What do we have here?"
An amused, slightly derogatory smile plays around the corners of her mouth. Almost as if she knew you were gonna lose.
"I-I think I lost."
"Oh, I can see that."
Her eyes move to your phone.
"Even thinking about someone else?"
"It's not what it looks like."
You're afraid Irene would take it the wrong way, but she just looks at you, waiting for an explanation.
"I just thought about doing stuff to her, which I'd never do to you."
"Why, because it's dirty?"
You want to say that it's mainly because she doesn't let you do it, but you're not brave enough to say that.
"Yes. While it's hot, I would never want to see my wife doing stuff like that."
"Of course not."
Her amused smile makes you feel warm, but also guilty. The fact that you're still lying here like this, the fact that you lost, the fact that you thought of someone else. You know Irene's punishment for you won't be a small one.
The last days of November have arrived and you've grown more worried by the second. Irene never told you when or where or how you'd face your punishment. At first, you thought it was gonna be December 1st or November 30th. But you could be wrong as well.
When you arrive at the cafeteria to start your lunch break, you keep picturing an angry Irene making you suffer for hours on end, before finally letting you cum. Halfway through your meal, you get a message from Irene, which is quite unusual. She knows you're working around this time and she might be working too right now as well.
"Today is the day."
You swallow hard, knowing that when you're coming home today, you're done for. Even more fantasies and hellish punishments invade your mind. Irene once mentioned she'd love to try out something that involves pain. She might've been talking about herself, but you're not so sure about that anymore.
You almost drop your fork, when she sends you a picture of herself. Your wife is basically only wearing lingerie. A black see through crop top, showing off her porcelain like skin underneath. You can clearly see her tits and her nipples. All of that barely concealed by the black flower patterns on the fabric. Her tight midriff makes you unconsciously rest your hand in your lap. Her panties are black lace as well. They appear to be see through too, but the black flowers hide her lower lips. The black stockings end in a flower pattern as well. They look tight, making it seem like her thighs are thicker than usual. Irene's black heels make her look taller and her legs longer.
Seeing that she's dressed in all black confirms your suspicion. You'll get punished today. You're glad she isn't holding a whip or anything. Maybe she's just hiding that?
"You better come home now. Or your punishment will be worse tonight."
Taking the second half of the day off was an easy decision. Not just in fear for what's to come if you don't, but also because of your excitement. You've never seen her in that outfit before and you just want to look at her wearing that in person.
When you pull into your drive way, you notice someone's bike standing near the front door. Looks like Irene ordered lunch for the two of you. You already had lunch earlier, but you don't mind eating again. Getting out of the car and walking towards your house, you realize that the door is slightly open. Where is the delivery guy anyway?
Maybe he is inside, waiting for Irene to pay? But wouldn't she have money on her and wouldn't he normally wait outside? You feel a little uncertain as you open the front door fully.
You step out of your shoes and hang up your jacket. You still don't see anyone.
Entering the living room, you freeze.
Your wife is kneeling on the floor. Kneeling between another man's legs, who's sitting on your couch. His pants are lying next to him. And Irene has her hands on his thighs and her lips around his cock.
"I-Irene?"
You're standing to her right as she looks up. You don't know what kind of reaction you expected. But you definitely didn't expect her to lift her head and give you a smile, while she keeps stroking him.
"Hi, babe. This is your punishment."
You still can't believe this is actually happening. Your wife is sucking off someone else? In your house? Not even bothered by you watching her?
You don't know what to do as you see her taking him into her mouth again. You don't want to watch, but for some reason you can't look away. You feel disgusted when the delivery guy puts his hand on your wife's head. He guides her up and down on his cock.
You take a step back, your legs hitting the armchair behind you. The sound makes Irene lift her head to look at you. But the man's hand pushes her further down his length instead. You hold your breath. Irene would've killed you for that, but you see her just smiling up at him, his cock now deeper in her mouth.
The man hasn't even acknowledged your presence yet. He stays focused on Irene, watching her giving him head.
You still try to find the right words. Something heavy seems to be stuck in your throat. You don't want to scream. Or cry. Or do anything. You just silently watch how your wife lets her head bob up and down the delivery guy's cock.
Soon, you notice Irene's top is missing. Her perky tits are exposed, slightly glistening with her own spit. Another string of saliva falls off her lips as she quickens her pace. The guy's groan makes your stomach twist. You catch the sparkling wedding ring on Irene's finger as her hand strokes his base.
How could she do something like this? She seemed distant from time to time, especially recently. But you never expected Irene to cheat on you. And you never thought she would let someone have this control over her.
The sounds of her lips gliding along his wet shaft and her humming around his length fill the room. You don't know for how long you've been watching her already. A minute? Two?
"Irene."
Her name weakly leaves your lips once more.
Your wife finally lifts her head off his cock again. A string of saliva connecting her lips with his tip. It tears as she leans away a little.
"Don't act all surprised. You should've seen this coming, really."
"W-What? Why?"
You sound weak, almost whining.
"It was fun with you at first, but I'm getting over it."
Irene keeps stroking the guy's cock, while talking to you, spreading her saliva everywhere.
"What do you mean? We're married."
"So? That doesn't mean I can't have some fun."
"Fun? You're cheating!"
Your emotions are mixed between anger and sadness. Irene seems like a stranger to you now.
"It's not cheating, if you watch."
"Of course it is!"
Irene rolls her eyes.
"Don't be such a baby. Watch or leave. Choice is yours."
"But-"
You don't continue as your wife starts to ignore you again. She takes the guy's cock back into her mouth, her lips now tightly sealed around his shaft.
You don't know what to do. Stay or leave? You watch her closing her eyes and gliding along his length slowly. She only makes that face when she enjoys her food very much. Her eyebrows furrow a little.
Finally sinking into the armchair, you try to look away. You feel like your body is to weak to keep you standing.
"Oh, fuck. That feels amazing."
The man's words make you look back at Irene. You can see how her tongue moves inside her mouth, occasionally bulging her cheeks.
"You like that?"
Irene lets go of his cock and looks up at him.
"You like it when I suck you off like this?"
"Fuck, yes."
The delivery guy takes her face into his hands and guides her back onto his cock. You watch with wide eyes as he seems to thrust up into her mouth, while making her head move up and down as well. Irene never let you take control, she never let you fuck her face. But she's now letting this stranger do it. You can see how he makes her take all of his cock, her lips meeting his base with every thrust. When you hear her gag, you close your eyes. You don't want to see or hear it. But the gagging only becomes louder as he now properly fucks her face.
Once he lets go of her again, Irene looks up at him.
"Your cock has me so wet. I want it in my pussy."
Your eyes shoot open again. You're unable to comprehend what she just said. A blowjob was already too much. And now she wants him to actually fuck her.
You see him helping her onto the couch. It seems it's on purpose the way the two of them position each other. Irene now directly faces you on the couch on all fours.
Most of the time, when the two of you had sex, Irene usually just rode your cock. She was always in control. But now you watch how she purposefully arches her back and raises her ass higher. The man, now kneeling behind her, reaches for her panties and pulls them off of her. Irene smiles when she sees you following his movements.
"Don't worry, baby. I still love you."
Her words sound wrong to you. She's saying one thing, but doing the complete opposite.
"Just let me have this once in a while."
"But-"
Irene interrupts you as the the man makes her moan by licking her pussy. You can't directly see it. But his hands on her ass and his head right behind her leave little to the imagination. Your wife's face contorts in pleasure. She's tightly holding onto the cushion in front of her, her long dark hair partially covering her face. You hear the delivery guy eat out your wife and you can't find any words. You have nothing to say.
"Damn, give it to me."
Irene's moans make you want to cover your ears. But the way she looks at you has you paralyzed. She looks so satisfied, so turned on. You've never really seen her like that before.
When the man gets back up, you hold your breath.
"Make me take it."
Irene sighs, looking straight at you.
The two of you lock eyes. Your wife bites her lower lip. You can see the exact moment when his cock enters your wife. Her mouth falls open, her eyes grow wider. A deep moan leaves her body.
Irene's face shows you exactly how deep he's inside of her. When he hits her limit, Irene's brows are furrowed and she bites her lip.
"You cunt is fucking tight."
You never thought you'd hear another man say these words about your wife. She only responds with a moan as he moves back, before thrusting into her again.
After a short while he really starts to fuck Irene like you never did. She always told you she doesn't like to have sex like that. Makes her look like a slut. But now that man is reaching forward to take a fistful of her hair.
"You like getting fucked by someone else in front of your husband?"
The question leaves your heart aching as he pulls on her hair, making your wife arch her back further.
"Yes, I love it. Make me your whore."
His thrusts become faster and you seem to sink even deeper into the armchair. It's not like you can blame this man. If a woman like Irene would throw herself at you like this, you wouldn't be able to resist too. But why does she let him do this to her?
"I'm gonna ruin your pussy."
"Yes, you own it now. Ruin it!"
Her moans make you shake your head in disbelief. You still can't understand why she'd do this. Aren't you enough for her? If she'd let you, you'd do this too.
"Baby..."
You look at her, when you hear her calling for you.
"Don't look so sad. I'm trying to save our marriage here."
"What? This is the exact opposite of-"
Once more Irene's loud moans cut you off.
What did she mean by that? That she'd leave you, if you don't let her have sex with other men?
"I just - yes, right there! - need a big cock once in a while to show me my place."
"But..can't I do that?"
Irene ignores your question, her eyes rolling to the back of her head as the delivery guy hits the perfect spot. She doesn't talk for a while, only moaning and gasping as he keeps pounding her from behind.
"Irene?"
You call her name again, but she doesn't respond. Her head drops between her shoulders as he lets go off her hair. A loud clap echoes through the room as his hand meets her ass.
"Fuck, yes! Spank me! Punish me!"
Irene's face is a combination of happiness and pleasure. Her smile is replaced every other second by a deep moan.
Another spank. You can see how her right cheek jiggles for a moment.
"Spank me harder, make it hurt."
When you watch the delivery guy fucking and spanking your wife, you finally realize how hot Irene looks right now. She'd look just as good when you'd fuck her like this, but she never let you. You kinda see her in a new light. She always looked sexy. Now she looks slutty. Which makes her even hotter for some reason.
"God, yes!"
Only now do you catch yourself staring at your hand, which is slowly rubbing your crotch. Looking back up, you see how the guy has reached underneath Irene. His left hand gropes and plays roughly with her perky tits, while the other still hits her cheeks. Over and over again, the sound echoes through the living room.
"You like this, slut? You like it when I play with your little tits?"
"Yes, use my body. Touch me."
Your wife's words reach your ears and you have to stop yourself from opening your pants. It hurt to see her like that at first, but now you have that urgent need to touch yourself. To play with yourself while watching your wife getting fucked.
Irene's eyes sparkle in amusement when she catches you rubbing your crotch. A mischievous smile plays around her lips.
"It's fine, baby. You lost this bet anyway. You can jerk off, if you want."
You feel shame warming your cheeks. You never thought you'd actually even consider this. But when the delivery guy grabs Irene's arms and pulls them up from underneath her body, you can't hold it back. You slowly undo your pants as he fucks your wife from behind. Her upper body in the air, her arms behind her as he holds onto them. You watch her head bounce with every thrust as you take out your cock.
"I knew you'd like it, baby. Just relax and enjoy the show."
The man fucks Irene harder now, probably turned on by you jerking off to the two of them. She has to close her mouth to not bite into her tongue, her head continuously moving around.
"Take my cock, slut. I want you to make me cum."
His words make you stroke yourself faster. Irene is probably trying to flex her muscles, wanting to hug his cock even tighter.
"Fuck, just like that."
He groans and you catch Irene's smile, whenever her face isn't covered by her hair, which is flying around in the rhythm to his thrusts.
As you keep jerking off, you notice how hot Irene really looks right now. You get into it more, watching how your wife gets fucked. He is rougher with her than you ever could be.
"I'm gonna cum soon."
His words make you stroke yourself faster.
"Where do you want to cum?"
You never heard this question before. You're curious about the answer.
"Your face."
He lets go off Irene's arms, making her fall onto the couch. You watch how she quickly slides to the ground, kneeling and waiting for him to stand up. You see her side profile, her mouth open.
The delivery guy strokes his cock, which is slick with her juices. He aims it right at her. You feel yourself getting closer already too.
It doesn't take much longer. When he orgasms, he shoots his load all over your wife's face and into her mouth. Irene gasps and tries to get all of it. Her hand replaces his, trying to get every last drop.
You follow quickly after, making a mess of yourself, like you did a couple of days ago.
When Irene finally turns to you, you can see how her face is full of cum.
"To be honest with you, honey, this wasn't our first time."
"What?"
You ask weakly, still recovering from your own orgasm.
"You were right earlier. I've been cheating on you. But now it's not cheating anymore, if you keep watching us."
You see her using her finger to scoop up his cum.
"F-For how long already?"
Irene sucks the cum off her finger, before smiling at you, most of her face still covered.
"30 days."

Day 5. Monster-kinktober: Ancient God + Branding/Uniform
A/N: Using they/them pronouns bc angels have no gender (but his earth manifestation is a priest so he/him when referring to him like that). This turned out very poetic and Iâm not sure I fully like it, but hopefully itâs good. Enjoy!
Gn!Biblical angel x fem!reader || branding, mind control, heavy dub-con || tw: murder, manipulation
You died. You donât know how or when or even your name⊠But you died. You passed away and you were walking through a clear path ahead. No destination in mind, you only knew you needed to keep going. You walked and walked. And after what felt like days, maybe years, you saw a light on the horizon. Then you ran and ran, instinctively knowing there was your answer, that light had all you needed even if you didnât even know what that was.
As you approached, you expected the figure to become more humanoid, more god-like maybe, but it didnât. In front of you, there was a big ball of light surrounded by thousand of eyes. No, not a light creature⊠an angel. A true biblical angel that looked so bright and ethereal you had to close your eyes because their beauty was too much to hold, but not a second later you had to open them to see if they were indeed that beautiful. It pained your soul to look directly at them, it was too pretty to be looked with your poor human eyes, it was too much but at the same time you couldnât look away for even a second, your eyes unable to blink as you stared at them.
âWe meet again, my little lamb,â a voice in your head said.
You knew that voice, you didnât know from where or why but you knew it. You knew them⊠You knew you were safe with them, no memories, no many thoughts in your head, but the only thing you were 100% sure about was that they were there to take care of you. To answer your questions and to alleviate the pain in your soul.
âI promised youâd always be safe, and here I am here to collect whatâs mine to protect.â There was an edge to their voice, a growl in the way they said mine that made your skin prickle with goosebumps. But you still couldnât look away.
Something akin to a hand, maybe a ray of light, you werenât sure, reached around him to get to you. And in that simple touch against your chest, a fire so big you couldnât hold back a scream rose from within. Little by little you started remembering pieces of your mortal life. You started to remember his voice, his smell⊠but most of all you remember his clothes. You remembered seeing him on a priest uniform, always so proper with everyone until you rolled around.
He never touched you, but you didnât need him to, he always had this aura around him that made you go weak in the knees and made you want to sin. You told him everything, even how he made you feel like you were depraved for having dirty thoughts about a priest. He just laughed, dismissing your concerns and telling you how you were his little lamb and he would always protect you. But he never judged you, not really. He was always there when you needed it. And every single time he showed up for you, you fell a little harder for him.
By the time you were so deeply in love it hurt to see his face, he pushed you softly and you hit your head⊠right at church. Right in front of him. The last imaged burned on your retinas was him with a halo around his body, almost like an angel, almost like a death angel coming to earth to retrieve your soul. And when you came to be, the memories in your brain were fresh and painful, but they were in front of you, waiting, expecting... but you had no idea what.
âDid you kill me?â You asked, confused, the images of him pushing you and the halo around him so fresh it still hurt your heart.
âI did what needed to be done so we could be together forever, little lamb.â Their voice was deep and unbothered, like that simple fact was enough to justify everything.
âDid you kill me?â You asked again.
âI did,â they accepted. âNow weâll be one in eternity.â
âHow?â You loved them, the feelings were still there, but he killed you⊠That was fucked up.
âI branded you in your mortal life, little lamb, and when you died you became one with my soul,â they tried to explain, but you didnât understand anything.
âAnd if I want to leave?â You ventured to question, already expecting the response.
âYou wonât, little lamb. You are mine.â There was a dangerous edge to their voice. âAnd I am yours,â they added in a softer tone. âI will make you happy, foreverâŠâ They reached to you, and you tried to move away, but you couldnât. There was a force beyond yourself stopping your movements. You were trapped inside your body and they could control all your movements. âFollow me, little lamb, letâs walk into eternity.â
Eternity was how they called their home, an empty space without anything but light. It was so warm you almost wanted to take off your clothes, but you could still only follow them. Your foot moving on their own accord as your angel levitated a couple steps ahead.
At some point they just stopped, everything around you looked exactly the same, but for some reason they decided to stop right there. âItâs time to enjoy what mortal pleasures we refused ourselves in your past life, my little lamb,â they said, cryptically.
âWhat⊠what do you mean?â You let out, breathless with the effort to talk when your body was not your own anymore.
Instead of answering, they made your clothes disappear. You stood before them, naked and unable to cover yourself as they stared at you. You wished more than anything that they had a face so you could at least try to figure out how they were feeling, too. And above all, you wished their voice and their touch didnât make you as hot as you were, already dripping, your body betraying your head for them in an instant.
They made you lay down next, flat against the white surface under you. âOpen your legs, let me see you, little lamb.â You wanted to say no, but your hands moved on their own. You reached down and parted your legs, exposing yourself completely to them. âSuch a pretty pussy, my pussy, all wet. Touch yourself, let me hear how wet you are.â Your fingers moved on their own accord, the resulting sounds were filthy and you blushed. âYes⊠I like when you are so desperate for me you canât contain yourself from dripping with desire. Rub that tiny bundle of nerves, lamb. I want to see you fall apart, for me.â Their voice was deep.
Your mouth was tightly shut and they spoke inside of your head, telling you what to do, what to feel⊠And you couldnât avoid it. You couldnât say anything about it. But at the same time, you didnât want to. Their touch felt like a betrayal, but the comfort it gave you made everything worth it. You danced between the dichotomy of needing their touch and being repulsed by it.
âYou are going to finger my pretty pussy and when you fall apart for me, Iâll enjoy it,â they ordered.
You wanted to refuse, but you found yourself nodding along as your hand found your wet entrance, your fingers moving on their own accord as your other hand played with your clit. You knew half of those movements werenât yours, you knew they could control you completely and you were at their mercy, but for some reason that didnât bother you as much as it should.
They kept talking. âI promised you I would take care of you, and now I can, now that you know everything⊠we finally can do all you wished. All those dirty depraved thoughts you had and confessed drove me wild with desire, little lamb, and now we are going to make all true.â Your fingers accelerated, pushing against your G-spot in the perfect angle. âLet me remind you some of those⊠Let me remind you how you wanted to be bent over the altar and fucked until your pussy was so full you were overflowing.â Their words made you shiver as you rubbed your clit faster. âLet me remind you how you told me all about how you would fall to your knees and suck my dick until you were absolved of all your sins. Tsk. Such a dirty little lamb wanting to blackmail a priest.â The insult was soft, but it made your blood boil. But they werenât done. âLet me remind you how you came to church without panties and exposed your sweet, sweet pussy, my pussy, in the first row⊠tempting me. You were a sinful little lamb, and you deserve to be punished.â
Their voice became dark and dangerous at the end, and you werenât in control of your hands anymore. They controlled all your movements, and rapidly you were coming around your fingers, your body trembling as they stared. But you realized it wasnât your body anymore, nor your fingers... You fell for them in their human skin, when he was dressed as a priest, and you were okay with that. You were depraved enough to confess all your dirty fantasies⊠and now you would be punished for them.
You were depraved enough to fall for a priest, and the priest was depraved enough to brand you to own your soul forever. They acted like your guardian angel⊠but they became a demon for you.

HUSBAND!JUNGKOOK who proposed to you on vacation on the outskirts of florence. four days of beautiful scenery and incredible memories were just a cover for Jungkook's true plan: in a green field dressed in brightly colored flowers, the two of you were having a small picnic while laughter and tender words danced with the gentle breeze of the day; and when Jungkook's question flowed as naturally as any other sentence he could have said, your heart immediately accelerated, sending waves of happiness and fulfillment throughout your body. âwill you marry me? make a whole life by my side? only you and me?â
HUSBAND!JUNGKOOK who insisted on throwing floating lanterns at your wedding. but Jungkook didn't want any lanterns, no; Jungkook wanted your dreams and desires for your life to be written and decorated on the light fabric of the lantern, believing that, when they reached the vast starry sky, they would be able to cling to the various stars and guard your future forever. âthe celestial magic of the stars will make all our dreams come true, youâll see.â
HUSBAND!JUNGKOOK who kisses you under the rain on bad days. it was a simple gesture, something small and quite banal, but it was something precious, an action that warmed you inside and made you feel good, made you feel alive; it was between raindrops that Jungkook declared his love for you in the form of a kiss, the lips that sang so many promises to you and shared so many dreams reminding you that in all the darkness of the world, among all the rain and grey, there was always something warm, there was always his love for you. âjust to remind you that after so long, i still love you. and i will love you forever.â
HUSBAND!JUNGKOOK who wears his wedding ring like a badge of honor. Jungkook was proud to be your husband; for him, you were the only person to exist, you were the only one who really mattered because you, quite simply, were incredible in every way; so, having a token of your love, something physical that people could see, only made Jungkook's eyes shine even brighter â after all, he was eternally united to the best person that could exist. âyes, iâm married to the love of my life. isn't it incredible? iâm the luckiest man alive.â
HUSBAND!JUNGKOOK who hugs you from the back in the morning and gently kisses your neck. still infected by sleep, Jungkook walked slowly through the kitchen, his feet leaving traces of need, his small yawns looking for you lazily; Jungkook's arms would wrap around you without any difficulty, squeezing you with all the love he felt for you, letting his natural scent mix with that of breakfast; Jungkook's lips kissed your neck innocently, an invisible mark of wishes for a good day beginning another opportunity to live life. âgood morning. you werenât in bed, i thought i wouldnât have time to say goodbye.â
HUSBAND!JUNGKOOK who takes you on long car rides at night just to decompress. with the windows open to let the night breeze flood his car, Jungkook took you to different neighborhoods and streets without any destination in mind, just the desire to bring you a little peace controlling his steering wheel; soft music was gently played in the car, while the stars of the night guided you to moments of tranquility and serenity that made you realize that it was with Jungkook that life was worth living. âthe night is beautiful today. do you wanna go out? we can eat ice cream later.â
HUSBAND!JUNGKOOK who will love you forever and ever. Jungkook deeply believed that it was the universe that brought you together; it was impossible for two such deep and similar souls to meet by chance â it had to be destiny. because, for Jungkook, your souls had already been formed in ancient times, wandering through worlds and constellations in search of a way of loving deeper than the spiritual â and here you two were, extending every fragment of your passion beyond the soul. âwhat are the chances of feeling like weâve loved each other forever? believe me, we are made of the same celestial dust.â

You know all those Cults in Gotham?
Bet at least ONE of them could spring for both a Legit Magic User and a Cloning pod.
Because The Wayne's? Hearts of Gold. Long standing pains in the asses. Probably the only thing standing between this gods forsaken wasteland of a city and Their Dark Lord. For GENERATIONS no less!
It's sooooo obnoxious!
So they want to Curse Um dead. Just a good ol fashioned bloodline curse. Destroy um from within, etc. BUT! To do THAT? You kinda need a blood relative to sacrifice!
And Bruce is... well... rather infamously An Orphan With No Biological Kids (at that point).
So? What do you do? Make one, obviously. You send in some of your own on a Holy Mission. Honeypot that playboy! Get us a kid to sacrifice! Our God will reward you etc! But... FFS! What? Are brunettes not your TYPE or something?! Pretty lady! Throwing herself at you!!
TAKE THE BAIT!
But he DOESN'T. Because he's both really used to that behavior, as The Wayne Heir and a False Playboy, AND because? He's fuckin Batman. He can see through your schemes.
Okay.
Okay!
Plan B!
Get us some DNA. We'll CLONE the sucker. That should be doable, right?
........OH COME ON! How?!
Batman: [REDACTED] / Cultists: 0
Fuck it! This is impossible! How are we supposed too... *eyes drift over to the Wayne Family Private Graveyard* .......Idea? Ideeeeaaaa~! Someone get us a shovel!
So they, cultist bastards that they are? Fuckin rob a grave for some DNA.
OBVIOUSLY though, it can't be one of the more RECENT graves! He probably VISITS those! Watches them! No we gotta be SNEAKY! Get one a bit further back! Mwahahahaha! We're so brilliant! Our God is gonna give us SUCH a Good Grade in follower!
A thing that is both REAL and possible to achieve!
So, while a Weirdly FURIOUS Batman? Is just... VIOLENTLY breaking ALL of their bones? Cultist 17 is furiously digging like his life depends on it. Either somebody snitched or Batman was hunting them down! Either way?
Gotta! Get! That! DNA!!! *digs faster*
Ah HA! Got it!
Fucking SCATTER! Run you fools, RUN!!! *everyone bolts*
And AT LAST! They have it! Wayne DNA! Now? Pop that sucker into the machine and make us a baby! Too sacrifice! *relieved noises* Man, that was hard work you guys. But we DID it!
Except??
Theoretical Babies? And "Real, slowly forming in front of me and becoming a human child" type babies? VERY DIFFERENT psychologically. It's ONE thing to sacrifice a HYPOTHETICAL baby... but when you're the guy running and monitoring the Cloning machine? Watching it slowly form and come together into... into a CHILD?
You start asking questions of yourself. Of God.
Of what, EXACTLY, you are willing to do.
What lines you find yourself unwilling to cross.
And yeah, your life was SHIT before the cult. Yeah, you were alone. Adrift. Without purpose. Angry at the world for all of its ugliness and failings. But... sitting, alone, in a dark room? Nothing but the steady hum of machines and the cool light of that pod? You are left with nothing but time... and your thoughts.
And the baby.
The one... the one YOU made.
Almost... he's almost like a son, in a way. Your son. Floating there, innocent and unknowing. Destined to be born, only to die painfully, for a cause he could not even begin to understand. Because he's too young. Too small. Just... just a baby.
The baby YOU made.
Doubt seeps in like mist. Creeping into the cracks forming in your faith. Surely there's another way, right? Why not save up for a better magician? Or... or hire a hitman? Why involve a child? Surely... surely your God would not WANT this, right? Or if He did! Surely, he would want the boy to be able to CHOOSE, right? A noble sacrifice, for the cause?
The pressure builds. Batman is tearing the city APART looking for your fellow Believers. Leadership is pressuring you to get "It" ready all ready.
He's not an "it".
They are dismissing your questions. Threatening and posturing, as you grapple with your faith. Where? Where is the COMMUNITY that you joined? The camaraderie? Every day, Believers are being torn down. The faith has lost so many!
How can this be WORTH it?
Your faith is slowly, cruelly, strangled in your chest. A death, by ten thousand silences, and ten thousand more cruelties.
Your son is ready.
You do not tell them.
The Clone of Bruce Wayne's great-grandfather is small, but healthy, in your arms. A tiny warm body, with a strong beating little heart. You call the police. Leave your phone, call running, on the desk. No one thinks to stop you, as you calmly walk out the back door.
Why would they doubt?
You are Faithful.
You drive. Pray to a God you have lost faith in, beg forgiveness for what you do now. Your beat up old junker of a car makes decent time, as you leave Gotham. Your son, asleep in a carefully made nest of blankets, on the seat next to you. You drive. You keep driving.
Past towns.
Past cities.
Out of the state.
Stopping only to feed your son and fuel your car. You... you can not bring yourself to care about what will happen to you now. You know they will find you. Know this is the end. But something ancient burns in your chest. A caring you never thought was REAL.
You are afraid.
But you will not let them harm your son.
Finally, a town. Far from Gotham. Quite and cheerful. It calls to you.
Here. It... it has to be here.
You find the hospital. Tears choking you. There is a place to drop of children. You've seen them before. How strange, that now you stand before it and HURT. Your arms not listening to your command. You... you have to do this. You HAVE too.
He is just a baby.
He is your son.
You have to keep him safe. And... and that can not be with you.
You gently put your baby boy into the drop off. Press the buzzer. And then? You make yourself walk away.
Get back in your car, and drive. The gun in your glove box will insure they can never pry from you, what you have done. Where he is. He is safe now. He has to be. You... you did your job. As his father. You made sure he was safe.
You can barely see the road, through your tears.
You take your secrets to the grave.
And Danny? He grows up. Is adopted young and never knows different. Both a Fenton and a Wayne. Knowing only one of these, to be his. But... that Wayne? Was a damn fine man. A pillar of his community and a champion of the people.
Got tossed more then a few blessings, in his life.
They weren't the STRONGEST. But they added up. And more importantly? Were hardly the refined magics of the more powerful. They were cast onto "Him". By blood and bone, more often then not. Which was all well and good!
When there was only ONE of "Him".
Cloning technology did not exsist. So why would you word carefully against it? Danny becomes a VERY lucky boy. Survives many things he should not. In fact, the kindness and hard work of his original? Gifted back in magically powered well wishes? By this, he survives something NO ONE could possibly expect him too.
It saves his life.
His template would be quite pleased, knowing that. That his life of good deeds, saved the life of the child he never got a chance to meet. That it protected his children, from even beyond death.
And in Gotham? At long, long last. The program Bruce made in his helplessness and despair, to search EVERY child until the child made of his bloodline was found? Spits out a match.
A Watchtower engineer.
Daniel J. Fenton.

Not my honeymoon
Synopsis: A household of an arranged marriage with Gojo Satoru wasn't easy. And as the pressure from the higher ups was becoming more and more there was something to discuss. Your honeymoon.
Or: Satoru Gojo doesn't even know how attached he will grow to his wife yet.
Pairing: Gojo x reader, 3000 words
Not really satisfied with this but I hope you enjoy!
Series Masterlist!
"Are you okay, Gojo?"
No, he was definitely not. He wasn't since all of this started. Since he was destined to marry you. But now as he looked at you it was a different kind of not okay.
What did he do???
You looked sad, no, devastated. Ever since you two ate breakfast together every morning, he thought you would look more relaxed. Maybe even comfortable.
But you seemed to put up a barrier everytime he asked something. And then there was the name.
You still called him Gojo. Even though you were now named the same.
You so carefully kept your distance and you had this sad look in your eyes.
He was worried.
"Yeah, of course." he returned to eating his breakfast. After a bit of silence he opened his mouth again and was surprised he could speak.
"Are you? You look tense."
Your body tensed up again as you looked at him and he wanted to punch himself. He made you uncomfortable, didn't he?
"I am, no worries." you didn't raise your head.
Where did his confidence go? His charisma? His social skills?
Something about his wife made all these so important and natural things dissappear.
The silence spoke loud and the sounds of the eating didn't cover enough of it.
This silence wasn't unusual. In fact it was almost always there when you ate breakfast together. So all the time you saw each other.
And no, he didn't like it. For some reason, on which Satoru couldn't put his finger on, he desperately wanted to know you. He wanted to make peace with you, maybe even be friends with you.
But you seemed so untouchable, he couldn't describe it.
"WellâŠ" Satoru cringed at the sound of his voice. "I have to go to work now."
He stood up and made his way to the door where he made himself ready. "See you later. Have a nice da-"
"Wait, Gojo." Your voice sounded so hesitant, it scared him. "Can we talk later?"
As he looked at you, his whole mind went blank. He felt like he was gonna die. Why did you look at him like that? What did you wanna talk about? Why not now?
"Sure, I can try to come home earlier." He tried to keep his voice steady, but his whole strongest being was shaking in fear.
"Great." you nodded with a neutral look that did NOT scream 'Great'. "Then have a good day at work."
"Thank you, you have a nice day too."
He was going to die, wasn't he?
~
"You look like a corpse." Suguru was always soo considerate.
Satoru sighed as he sat down next to his friend. "Just give me the missions."
His best friend raised an eyebrow. "You know, you should attend the meetings for a change. I'm not always gonna be able to get your missions for you."
"Yeah, you are right Suguru, what would I ever do without you? You are such a good friend." Satoru yawned as he waved his hand.
"Would you please be so kind and enlighten me where I have to be today?"
"I'm going to overlook that sarcasm for today." Suguru handed him a piece of paper. "Here's the list for today."
As Satoru looked at the very long list in horror, Suguru spoke again. "But for real, you look terrible. I thought things were going fine in your marriage?"
"Of course they want me working overtime today." Satoru groaned. "I swear one day I will make all of the higher ups-"
"Satoru, what's wrong?"
He stopped in his rant and sighed. "She wants to talk."
Suguru raised his eyebrow again. "And that's bad, why exactly?"
"Because she always looks like I killed her pet or something like that!" Satoru whined and looked at his paper.
"She doesn't like me."
Suguru shrugged with his shoulders. "I mean, you still didn't apologize."
As Satoru didn't say anything, Suguru continued. "And you also don't really talk to her. How can you expect her to like you yet?"
"Yeah, yeah, you're right." Satoru whispered. Holding his list up, he begged Suguru. "Can you take some of my missions? Please?"
Shacking his head, suguru laughed. "That one time was an exception, I had to work three days in a row for that Satoru. I'm sorry but I have lots of missions too. It's the season."
Satoru just nodded. He had seen this coming.
30 missions in only 12 hours?
It would be a challenge. And it would cause him a little trouble.
But would he give up?
He smiled to himself.
~
You didn't have any time anymore.
The letters of your mother became overbearing, asking where you and Gojo will go for your honeymoon. Asking, that you have surely talked with him about it?
No, you didn't. In fact you were too nervous to even look at him.
You were relieved that he didn't seem to despise you, since he and you ate together now. But he also didn't talk to you and that made you question yourself.
Did he even want to talk?
You needed more time. So much more time. How could they all expect, that you could just sleep with him?
No that just was absurd.
"Mrs. Gojo? How are you feeling today?"
Hina really liked you over the time. Her smile somehow made all of this a bit lighter.
How could you survive a week without her? Just with your husband and the pressure to do something?
"Alright. How are you feeling?" you smiled back, trying to hide your nervousness.
"Perfect, like always." She answered right away, bowing a bit. "Would you like a snack?"
You chuckled a bit. "I can get myself a snack, Hina, you really don't have to."
She shook her head. "Nonsense, it is my job to make you food." She smiled at you knowingly. "And I also get paid for it."
You laughed a bit. "Well, I think my husband will keep paying you even when you make me a snack less."
"If you think so Mrs. Gojo." she made a little curtsy and laughed as she went into the kitchen.
You smiled to yourself as you looked after her. You would miss her on your honeymoon.
Oh god the honeymoonâŠ
~
"Could you please just die?!" Gojo was annoyed as fuck as the curse before him just kept sneaking into barriers and hiding from him.
Normally he wouldn't be this mad.
But he had to be home in time today. And as the curse escaped a crazy laugh at him his anger only rose.
His finger twitched. He wanted to just open his domain and make puddle of this pathetic being. But there were still people near and it would be a bit overkill.
So he had to work with red and blue.
And he had to be fast.
"Gojo Satoruuuhuuuuuu." the distorted voice of the curse spoke underneath him. So smugly, that Satoru felt like laughing.
"Found you."
Hollow purple.
As the cursed energy of the curse slowly disappeared Satoru looked at his list. Still 4 curses in 4 locations. And only 30 minutes till 9 pm.
He had to be faster. Before you would think he didn't care.
If there was just one more stupid barrier, he swore he would-
Goddammit.
~
It was almost 8:51 as you thought you should just eat and go to sleep.
Maybe you would find the courage to talk to him tomorrow too and everything would be fine.
Maybe.
"Should we serve dinner, Mrs. Gojo?" Hina looked at you and waited patiently for your answer.
And as you looked at her something in you switched.
"Wait. My husband isn't home yet, we will wait for him."
Hina chuckled and nodded. She smiled knowingly as she went into the kitchen.
You looked at the clock. 8:56 pm.
You sighed as you sat there. Playing with your glass, you wondered.
Would Gojo even want a honeymoon?
If he didn't, that would be a problem. The higher ups were persistent of you two going somewhere in japan to have 'enough time'.
Your glass seemed to shake, nerarly breaking.
What would you do? What would you tell them? What, what, what-
Forcefully the door opened and Gojo stood there.
A Gojo stained with blood, his blindfold pulled down, looking at you with big eyes.
"What did you want to talk-"
"Why are you bloody-"
You talked at the same time, looking confused at each other. You waited for an answer, as he looked at you confused.
"What do you mean, bloody?" he looked down. Then his eyes widened and he chuckled. "Oh, you don't have to worry, it's not mine."
What did he mean 'don't worry'? He looked like he was out of a horror movie!
Perplexed you looked at him. "Is this all from the curses-?"
"Anyway you wanted to talk?" only now he closed the door behind him.
You blinked at him. Two times. Three times. Then you looked down. "Yeah. But if you are to tired, we can also talk tomorrow -" or the day after, or the day after that day, orâŠ
"I'm not too tired, don't worry." He looked behind you at the empty table. "Did you already eat?"
Just as you wanted to answer, Hina stepped in and took the opportunity to speak. "Mrs. Gojo, now that Mr. Gojo is here, should we serve the food?"
You looked at her and just nodded.
"Well, then." Gojo clapped one time. "We can talk as we eat, right? Then let's sit down."
He took your chair and you wanted to ask what he wanted to do, as he pulled it and offered you the seat. You just sat down and muttered a small thanks.
He smiled, he smiled?, and went to his seat on the opposite side of the table looking at you full of expectation.
Your mind was blank. All the words you so carefully constructed to sentences were all gone. The only thing in your head was the question:
What if Gojo didn't want a honeymoon?
"You waited for me to eat?"
You looked up to Gojo and he smiled at you again. Since when was he so talkative??
"Yeah, I did."
Your voice was much more quiet as you wanted. But he didn't seem to mind as he looked at you with that sparkle in his eyes.
Or maybe his eyes always looked like that.
"Thank you. But you don't have to do that. Most of the time I work much too long for you to stay up and not eat."
"Well, maybe we could still eat dinner together sometimes."
Your mouth spoke without your permission and his widening smile made your head dizzy.
"Your food. We hope you enjoy your meal." Hina placed dinner onto the table bowed a bit and then went into the kitchen as fast as she could.
"Soooooo." Gojo looked down at his food. "What did you wanna talk about?"
"WellâŠ" you stopped, weighing your options of what you could say. Oh, just say it. "I wanted to discuss your honeymoon."
As you looked up you saw two big blue eyes blinking at you. "Our honeymoon? Ohhhhhhhhhhhh"
His shoulders visibly starting to relax as he sighed of relief. A smile forming on his lips again. "Whew, I thought I did something wrong. You had me scared, you know."
"I had you scared?" you looked at him in disbelief. "You came in like a madman covered in blood!"
"Oh, trust me." Gojo leaned back. "That's not nearly as terrifying as my wife, when she is angry at me. She can get really mad, you know?"
You couldn't hide the disbelief in your face and just shook your head. But slowly a smile was forming on your lips. "You're stupid."
Satoru chuckled again and took a bite of the food. Then he looked at you again. "Yeah, yeah. But back to the topic."
Leaning a bit forward, he raised an eyebrow. "Where do you want to go for our honeymoon?"
His voice sounded so casually you felt dumb. "Oh, I don't know. I wanted to ask you."
He tilted his head. "Do you even want to have a honeymoon?"
"What-" panic flooded you as you thought about the higher ups. "Of course!"
"If you say so." he didn't seem convinced but nodded. "But there has to be a place you always wanted to go."
You shook your head. "No, not really. You can decide."
His eyes narrowed as he leaned forward. "Is there no country you ever wanted to go to?"
"No!" you spoke so fast, you couldn't stop yourself from your panic taking over. "I mean- I would like to be in Japan."
He kept silent as he inspected you. And then he sighed. "I have nothing against it, if that's what you want. But you seem so on edge."
You looked down. "Sorry. ThisâŠ" your throat tightens but you manage to say the words in your mind. "It's just very important."
He blinked at you again and then smiled so softly, you didn't know Satoru could even look at you like that. "It's okay, but if you are too focused on making it perfect, it sabotages itself, doesn't it?"
You couldn't bear his words. The voice of your mother played so loudly in your right ear.
Be a good wife. Be a good wife. Be a good wife be a good wife beagoodwife-
"Would you like to go to a quiet place?" Satoru chuckled to himself. "I wouldn't say no to it."
He looked so sincere. Never before had he talked to you like that. Of course you did have some small talk about his day and what you read the last day, but he seemed so relaxed and like himself right now.
Was this the charismatic Gojo Satoru so many people told you about?
"I would like that." you whispered.
"Hina?" His gaze focused on the girl who quickly emerged from the kitchen. "You and your grandma lived in Shirahama, didn't you?"
She nodded quickly and smiled. "Yes, it's nice there. A bit of the ocean to see and plenty of nature."
She looked at you expectantly. "It's really relaxing, Mrs. Gojo."
Somehow, her shy look made you smile too. "Well, we'll have to go and see it then."
Hina smiled at you with sparkling eyes and bowed a bit again. "You won't regret it!"
"Definitely not!" Satoru laughed a bit. "Then that's settled."
"What-" he looked at his food and continued eating without a care in the world. How could he just carelessly think that that was it?
"But we still have to discuss everything with the higher-ups!"
The atmosphere became much colder along with his gaze. He had stopped eating and his gaze pierced you.
His figure suddenly sitting up straight, his arms to the side, he raised his head.
"Why should I discuss our honeymoon with them?"
The words were caught up in your throat.
You looked down at your food and tried to justify your silence by eating.
"Did you just want to talk to me because of them?" his voice was so much colder than it had been seconds before.
You frantically swallowed your food. "No, I⊠It wasn't that, really!"
The lies were hard to get off your lips. But he couldn't know about the meetings, no, he simply couldn't!
He was silent. His gaze was lowered and you could no longer see his beautiful blue eyes.
"I wanted to⊠Get to know you better. We hardly know each other." You pointed to the food table.
"I think it's good that we're eating together now, but that hardly adds anything. I just wanted⊠For us to have more time together."
When he still didn't say anything, you lowered your head too. "It's just⊠I thought we still had to organize everything with them? Because of your work and clan duties?"
Gojo chuckled and you heard him looking up. "As if they could fight back. We can just leave."
His voice halled through the room. "And we will tomorrow."
"What?" Shocked, you looked at him. "You can't be serious, can you?"
A huge grin was forming on his face. "You still have to learn how serious I can be. We're leaving tomorrow."
He pulled out his cell phone and typed something. "One of my clan employees will arrange our trip."
"Gojo, we can't just leave!"
"Why not?" he looked deep into your eyes. "Why can't we just say 'fuck them'?"
You shook your head. "Maybe you could, Gojo, but not me! I would disgrace my clan!"
Gojo stood up abruptly. "This is our honeymoon! Your honeymoon! What they think doesn't matter! You're my wife now, those bastards have to respect you! Understand that!"
"It's not that simple." You could only whisper.
He shook his head. "Nevertheless let's go tomorrow. I'll write a letter to your mother and explain that I just took you with me."
He approached your seat. "You wouldn't be to blame."
As if she would think it wasn't your fault. They'd all curse you because then they wouldn't know where you two even were.
But wasn't that what you wanted?
"I'm going to sleep." Determined, you headed for your room. You needed to clear your thoughts.
"We can talk about it again in the morning. And maybe go straight away." He followed you to your door.
"There would be consequences." Something in your voice trembled. "Just running off like that."
And as you stood there, your door to your room already in your hand, he stepped right behind you. His body closer than ever.
Shouldn't Infinity be pushing you back? Why could you feel his warmth, almost feel his breath?
"I could handle that." His hand now held your door.
"I want to get to know you better too."
With that, he let go of your door and left you standing in the hallway, confused.

Only You || Legolas
Summary: Request: Can you do a elf reader x Legolas where he's finally home in mirkwood after the quest? Maybe Gimli is with him and he's like 'i see why you always talked about the lassie.' or something funny that exposes Legolas for how much he really likes her. He then confeses and asks to court her or something sweet pleaseee?? My fav fluff writer! Thank u!
A/N: Thank you so much for the kind words and sweet as heck request. Really love this one. I didn't edit it too heavily so please be wary of general writing mistakes! Hope you all enjoy my fav elf imagine :)
Pairing: Legolas x Female Reader
Word Count: 2.9k +
TW: Pure fluff? No LOTR triggers
You had finally gotten a free evening to yourself after training for the better part of every evening for the last year with your father, Girdirion. He had been training you relentlessly after Legolas had left of the quest his father, King Thranduil, had sent him off on. That was over a year ago. You hadnât heard much other than they had made it to Minas Tirith a few months ago.
Your father suddenly saw you as defenseless without your longtime friend at your side. Being the kings most trusted advisor, he had been trained for centuries and was a formidable fighter. It wasnât until after Legolas had left that you had realized how serious the threat to middle earth was. Your father must had realized it too as he worked you to the bone, training you at every chance he could.
It was only after King Thranduil received word that the ring had been destroyed and his son was heading home did things begin to change. Your father still made you train but it wasnât at every waking moment any longer. Tonight, was one of those nights that he had given you off as he had meetings to attend to with the king.
Time felt too slow as you waited for Legolas to return. He promised he would. You knew he would. He was all the way across middle earth, but you just couldnât seem to wait any longer. You longed for you best friend, who meant much more to you than just a best friend, to come home.
As soon as you settled on your bed to begin reading the novel you had been meaning to finish there was a quick knock at your door. Who could that be? You werenât expecting anybody at this hour after dinner. Begrudgingly, you set the book down just as you had gotten comfortable and made your way over to the door.
When you opened the door you scrunched your face in confusion, âFather? What are you doing here? I thought you were meeting with the king?â
He nodded, âI was. Then we got interrupted. There is somebody here I think you may want to see.â His smile let you know exactly what you were thinking. Legolas was home. He was back in Mirkwood after nearly a year and a half away. Sure, it wasnât that long of a time for you in the scheme of your lifetime but it did feel like the longest year of your nearly two thousand years in middle earth.
âLegolas?â You tore out of your room not waiting for his response as you made your way to the throne room. You heard your fathers deep laughter behind you before he jogged to catch up with your lighter than air pace.
Once he caught up to you he had that knowing smile on his face. He had watched the two of you dance around the obvious feelings each other had. You never thought you were good enough to be with the kings son. He never thought you were interested in that way. But to everybody on the outside looking in it was rather obvious the two of you were destined to be together. Even if it was taking longer than expected. A thousand years longer than expected. See, King Thranduil and your father had agreed they would bless the union between the two of you should it come naturally. But neither had the heart to force it. He and your father knew as good as anybody these things had to find their way on their own, naturally. Even if it drove the two elder Ellonâs mad.
âIndeed, your elf has made it home.â He spoke as the two of you walked, much faster than normal, towards the kings room.
Before you opened the massive wood doors you turned to him with a sly smile and a hint of a blush dotting the apples of your cheeks, âMy elf?â
Your father raised his eyebrows at you, âGo on then.â He pushed you forward ignoring your question.
When you pushed open the doors you couldnât find the familiar blonde hair of your best friend. Even as you walked closer to the throne you looked all around the hall and only spotted King Thranduil who was giving you the same smirk your father just did. What were they up to? Where was Legolas? And why was the king looking at you like he knows something you didnât?
âI apologize my king.â You bowed unsure of what else to do. When you turned to see if your father had followed you in you were left biting your lip seeing the door closed without him in the room. What was he up to? âMy father saidâŠâ
Thranduil put his hand up pausing you right in your tracks, âLegolas is out in the gardens with a dwarf. A dwarf!â He sounded more frustrated than excited to his son after the time away.
But you cracked a smile instead. That was so him. He was anything and everything his father was not. The two of them could not have more different personalities. Your best friend was the one to push boundaries no elves would or could do seeing that his father was the king, âA dwarf you say? That sounds like him.â
Thranduil studied your happier than heâs seen you in an entire year expression full well knowing it was because Legolas was back from his grand quest. Thranduil rose from his throne before walking down to you. Having to look up to him because he was so tall all you could do was wait on his word.
He pointed his hand towards the entrance to the kings private gardens, âGo, you audience is rather impatiently waiting on you.â He gave you a knowing smile before retreating towards the door you had originally come in, likely to go find your father. Not wasting anymore time you made a beeline towards the doors that led to the private gardens you so rarely got to enjoy. He must have deemed it enough of a special occasion to grant access to not only you, but a dwarf as well. You knew Legolas was behind that as well. He was the only one to get the king to agree to something he might not want to do.
For the second time in a few moments, you threw open the heavy wooden doors leading out to the gardens. It did not take you long to hear the pair before you saw them. You paused hoping to catch just a brief moment between the two of them before you made your presence completely known. As you suspected the dwarf had Legolas distracted from hearing you walk out.
âLook at ya lad. Pacinâ like a horse.â The unfamiliar voice chuckled. You had a feeling the dwarf poked fun at the ellon more often than not.
You just knew he was rolling his eyes, the beautiful blonde prince he was, âI am not Gimli.â
But the dwarf just kept laughing, âYaâ werenât even this nervous when we rode up to the Black Gate.â
âWould you quiet down dwarf. She will be out momentarily.â That sounded just like the elf that had left a year and a half prior. It was almost too easy to get him worked up and the dwarf called Gimli certainly enjoyed playing into it.
âThe little lassie has you this nervous huh?â You? You made him nervous?
Legolas let out a huff, âGimli!â And you knew that was your queue to help spare the ellon from his friend who seemed relentless. You already liked Gimli from the sounds of it. You shut the door behind you louder than necessary to signal your arrival.
Taking a deep breath, you walked forward suddenly terribly nervous after those comments. What was Gimli playing on? Why would he be nervous to see you? You didnât want to get your hopes up on feelings as you buried those away centuries ago. Your crush for the ellon grew slowly the first thousand or so years you knew him. Truly organic in the best way possible. Childhood friends to training partners to friends then best friends after it all. Once your training to become a healer had completed you had a sneaking suspicion all his injuries in the field were so he could come see you after some time away. He would only request you. Straight refusing the other healers help when offered. He would wait for you.
But then it just stayed like that. You thought it could grow into something more, but it dawned on you over the next few centuries his father had a say in who he courts and marries. Why would King Thranduil allow his son to court you of all elves? Sure, your father was his most trusted advisor, but you were no political gain in marriage. So you did what you did best, buried the feelings deep and bottled it all up.
The two of them quieted quickly hearing the door close. When you turned the corner you finally spotted your prince after far too long apart paired with an adorably red-headed dwarf who was staring right at you. You however were staring straight at Legolas as your small smile turned into a massive one. There he was, as handsome as ever, standing right there in front of you after too long. The longest either have you had spent apart from each other.
âLegolas.â You grinned before pulling him into a tight hug. It was when he gave you a big squeeze back that you simply just melted into the ellon completely forgetting you had an audience yourselves.
âAye lad! You left out the detail of your Y/N being quite the beauty.â Gimli spoke up from beside you breaking the trance the two of you seemed to be under. You giggled once you pulled away from him seeing the look of horror cross his face at his friends comments.
You turned to the dwarf feeling the nerves wash away. You had the advantage here as Gimli seemed to want to torture your friend, âHello. It is lovely to meet you. I am Y/N. Daughter of Girdirion, King Thranduilâs advisor.â
He pointed at you before narrowing his eyes at you, âDo you hate dwarves as much as his father does?â
You shook your head, âHardly. You are actually the first dwarf I am meeting. I do not get away often.â You knelt down making yourself level with him, âYou are much cuter than made out to be.â That earned a few stumbling words and a rather mighty blush to the warrior who seemed to have nothing but words. You managed to render him speechless.
This earned a snicker from your favorite ellon, âElf got your tongue there Gimli?â
That comment must have meant war between the two of them. The dwarf cocked his eyes up to his friend, shook his head then turned back to you who was now back to standing instead of crouching, âLady Y/N. It is lovely to finally meet you too. I feel as though I already know ya lassie.â He grinned knowing exactly what he was about to do.
You looked at Legolas with curiosity framing your face before returning your attention back to Gimli, âDo you?â
âAye.â He nodded, âLegolas here would never shut up about ye. Y/N this. Y/N that. Y/N would love this. Y/N would hate that.â
You knew your cheeks were surely aflame with embarrassment just as Legolasâ were, âWe have spent quite some time together over the years.â
But Gimli wouldnât have that, âI think it has something to do with you lassie. The way you look. The way you dress. The way you seem to occupy his every thought.â
âThat is enough.â Legolas finally chimed in giving his friend a hard stare telling him to get the hell out. But that only egged the red head on further. Your eyes bounced back and forth between the two of them before Gimli relented.
He bowed his head, âMy lady.â
Echoing his actions you responded, âGimli.â Before turning your attention back to the prince. Your eyes finally were able to scan his features. Not a hair seemed out of place. He was exactly as you remembered.
âWelcome home.â You gave him your biggest smile feeling like you could finally relax after seeing him alive and well.
He wasted no more time before pulling you into a second bone crushing hug. He had never been so forward causing you to let out a slight stutter in surprise of his actions. It was the last thing you had expected from him. But then again, who knew what he went through out there. Legolas was a strong warrior, but you knew how deeply this could impact anybody who had to go through it.
âI have missed you.â He whispered into your ear not letting his arms go from around you. He had no clue how his words were affecting you in that moment. Suddenly you felt that stupid little crush, that was surely love at this point, bubbling up from the depths of your heart that you had long since locked away.
When he pulled away after a few moments he took the time to look you over just as you had moments prior. He didnât drop his hands from around your waist though, simply holding you loosely in his embrace. You had never felt his eyes or his hands on you heavily before or that you had noticed in the past, âI have missed you beyond words Legolas. I have spent a year and a half filled with the dread of the thought you may never come home. Seeing you here is the greatest gift Eru IlĂșvatar could have bequeathed.â
It was then that Legolas knew just how deep your feelings ran for him just as they had run for you. He too had spent the better part of a thousand years being absolutely in love with you, his favorite elf, but making no indication of it. For he thought you may have eyes for someone else. He could not risk losing you in the event you said ânoâ to his request to court you. But by the way you were looking at him he knew that was wrong. Your love laced eyes could not break away from his gorgeous blue ones.
He knew he needed to take the next step with you. Gimli was right. His dwarf friend spent the better part of the journey home convincing him he needed to ask the question he had been dying to ask you. He wanted to court you. Spend the rest of his middle earth life and the next one with you. He had never been so sure of that. The thought of courting another elleth felt wrong. It was you. It was always going to be you.
âGimli was not lying, my lady.â Even though it came out as a whisper your ears could pick it up with no problem.
That shocked you. Was he admitting the same thing that you were? Did he have feelings for you too? âPardon?â
He grinned seeing your dumb struck face, âYou do in fact occupy my every thought. You are the reason I am here now. I fought for middle earth, yes. But for you more. Thinking of your smile pulled me out of the darkest of times
Your lips parted in utter shock at his admission, âLegolas, IâŠâ You were at a loss for words as you processed his confession to you. Your heart was giving you away completely though as it beat faster than it ever had before.
He continued seeing as you were rendered speechless, âIt was only ever you. It was only every going to be you, my love. You are my very best friend Y/N. I would never want to continue this life with somebody who was not you. It is only you. It will only ever be you.â He paused finding the courage to say what had been on the tip of his tongue for centuries, âI love you.â
Your jaw might have been on the floor at this point, âYou love me?â
He nodded with a nervous expression, âMore than you will ever know.â
That was all you needed before you walked forward, butting yourself right against his chest, âThat is a relief my prince. As I love you too. More than you will ever know.â
Euphoria. The truest form of euphoria pulsed through your body as you too admitted what had always been so hard to admit.
His expression melted to that of pure elation. Gently he placed his hands under your chin, cupping your face so carefully, âMay I begin to court you, my love?â
âI would be so honored Legolas.â Your head was turned up as you looked into his eyes for likely the millionth time. It was different this time. Charged with love and lust. Like you were looking at a new Legolas. One that you could get to know at a much deeper level.
He brushed his thumb over your lips sending shivers racking throughout your body, âOnly you. Only ever you.â

Can you write a fic (I was thinking about max but you can do any driver really) where the reader and the driver are best friends to lovers in the early days of the drivers career. The reader supported the driver through it all and wants nothing more but for them to succeed. As the drivers career really starts to kick off, the reader falls pregnant. When the driver finds out, (thinking of max here) he thinks he's going to be a terrible father and gets nervous thinking how he may ruin a whole life, he suggests getting rid of the baby and the reader thinks it's cause of his career, tells him she respects the fact that he doesn't want the baby, but she's going to keep it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Max Verstappen's Formula One career was just beginning to take off. He was young, talented, and driven, with an intensity that made his presence felt on the track and off it.
His best friend, you, since childhood, had always been there, cheering him on from the sidelines, through every victory and defeat, every celebration and heartbreak.
You both shared a bond that was unbreakable, an understanding that didn't need words. You had seen Max's potential long before the rest of the world, had believed in him when he was just a boy with a dream and a passion for racing.
And after time, you two had become a couple. A happy one, both driven by the drill of driving and passion. But as Max's career soared, so did the distance between you both. Not in your hearts, but in the time you could spend together.
You understood; you had always known that Max was destined for greatness, and you were content to support him from the background. You never complained, never asked for more than what he could give.
Your relationship had evolved quietly. What started as innocent hand-holding during tough times in your racing careers became something deeper, more profound.
It wasn't long before you crossed the threshold from best friends to lovers, a natural progression that felt right for both of you. You didn't need to label it; you simply knew you belonged together.
But then, life threw the both of you a curveball. You found yourself staring at a positive pregnancy test, the weight of the world suddenly resting on your shoulders. You knew this would change everything, for both.
When told Max, his reaction was far from what you hoped for. Instead of joy, there was fear in his eyes. He looked at you, his face pale and his hands shaking, and said, "I can't do this. I don't know how to be a father. I'll ruin everything. Maybe we should... maybe we should consider not having the baby."
The words hit like a punch to the gut. You had expected hesitation, but not this. Not the suggestion to get rid of the life you had created together. Tears welled up in your eyes, but fought them back.
You needed to be strong, for yourself and for the baby.
"Is this about your career?" you asked, her voice trembling but steady. "Are you worried that having a baby will ruin everything for you?"
Max shook his head, but his eyes told a different story. "No, it's not that. I just... I don't want to mess up. I don't want to be a terrible father. I don't want to ruin a whole life because I don't know what I'm doing."
You reached out, taking his hand in yours. "Max, I respect that you're scared. I am too. But this isn't just about you. This is about us, and about this baby. I can't make this decision for you, but I need you to know that I'm going to keep it. I understand if you don't want to be involved, but I have to do this."
His face crumpled, and he pulled you into his arms, holding tightly. "I'm sorry," he whispered, his voice breaking. "I'm so sorry."
You clung to him for dear life, tears streaming down your face. "I love you, Max. And I believe in you, just like I've always believed in you. You can do this. We can do this."
But as much as you tried to reassure him, you could feel the chasm widening between. Max was consumed by his fear, by the thought of failing not just as a driver but as a father.
And though he loved you, his terror of the unknown, of the future, was driving a wedge between the both of you. He could never but your love above the insecurity and that broke you to pieces, that could not be set back together.
The months passed, and Max's career continued to flourish. He threw himself into his racing with a ferocity that left little room for anything else. You watched, heart breaking a little more each day, as the man you loved slipped further away from you.
When the baby was born, a beautiful, healthy girl, Max was there. He had not held her, at the side of you and the baby, his eyes filled with a mixture of awe and fear. But he still couldn't shake his anxiety, couldn't let go of the belief that he would fail them both.
You knew you had to be strong, not just for yourself, but for your daughter. You had always believed in Max, and would continue to do so. But knew that he had to find his own way, had to come to terms with his fears on his own.
And so, with a heavy heart, you let him go, hoping that one day he would find his way back to them. That he would realize that he could be the father their daughter needed, and the partner she had always believed he could be.
Until then, you would keep supporting him from the sidelines, cheering him on just as you always had. Because that's what you do for the ones you love, even when it breaks your heart.
Deep in your heart, you wanted him to come to your house and say that he was sorry and wanted to be in your lives, but as time passed, you realized that he would never come to terms with it.
His trauma being too deep for him to start a family, you accepted the fact, but you never forgave him for it. You love him with your whole heart, and you always will.
Maybe your ways will meet again, who knew?
