#so i did meet my old friend from years ago yesterday. i was sooooo nervous omgggg. and i was waiting outside the café we agreed on#and then saw them walk in and i was like omgggg. the anxiety... but then i gathered courage and walked towards it and thry saw me thru the#window and came out and immediately hugged me. then they were like 'omg i've been so nervous. even more than before like a date!!'#so that made me relax a bit. i feel like i dont really fully estimate what i mean to them. maybe they care about me as well haha !!#then we just got our stuff and i chose a smoothie and was ready to pay but they just got it with their stuff (they work at this chain so#they got a discount). i feel so so bad & anxious when someone else pays for me. like i feel like a burden#but i asked twice if i should send them money for it and they were like no that's fine. so i had to tell myself to just shut up abt it 🥲#bc if u keep asking u make it into a thing and make them uncomfortable etc. so i really appreciated that and it was nice even if i felt bad#but yeah then we just sat down and talked. and it was so much easier to talk to them than i had been worried abt#like it flew nicely and yeah.. i feel like i forgot a lot abt them. like they're good at conversating. so they kept it going & even if i was#awkward it was fine for them. i did however get swept up in my own anxiety so as they asked me questions i answered#but then was too whirlwindy so i didnt really ask as much back and there were things i wanted to ask but didnt :')))#then they had cards and a card game with them. so we played for a bit too. and it was a lot of fun!!! (i was anxious and kinda slow lmao#bc when i dont know smth or the rules etc already my brain stops working so yeah.. even if it was simple games i was like um um what do i do#felt stupid but yeah again they didnt do anyhing to contribute to me feeling stupid but i still felt slow >.<#but i still thought that was so much fun. i wanna do more of that T-T like yeah...that was nice#then we took a lil longer walk to a bus stop before hastily said goodbye bc the busses came T-T#it was really really really nice tho. i have missed them a lot#and i didnt .. think we would ever see eachother again. i really didnt think this could happen#im so glad i somehow got brave enough to message them and im so so glad they wanted to see me too#i cant help but wish i could go back to when we were younger#and we spent every day in school together and messaged during the days and evenings and spent sm time together#when we went into the city like several times a week and took long walks. ahh... well. im glad we got to have those moments#& idk what will happen now. i really really want to see them again. even if we'll never be that close friends again i'd *wish* that we could#still be in touch. but im so bad at replying which doesnt go over great with them.. i'll try my best to reply quicker to them#*if* they message me. sadly i cant erase my avpd but i'll try my best to reply faster if and when they message)#they also complimented my sweater i was wearing (which is my fav sweater) !!!! and yeah.. they looked so cool. which they always have#and i kept thinking abt how nice their eye makeup was (i was too shy to compliment it tho bc im really bad at like 'nice' affectionate and#anything feeling related. like im so bad... so i couldnt say anything </3)#ugh it was just so nice to sit and talk with them. im so glad i went despite my fears. bc this was so good and nice :')))

i’m fr gonna lose my mind :)
#been a minute since i’ve ranted in the tags on here hi hello#so i have this friend who is driving me absolutely insane#we’ve been friends for about a year or so and when we first met we clicked right away and got super close and hung out all the time#we met at work but neither of us works there anymore and it feels like our whole friendship is falling apart now that we don’t#i literally have not seen her in person once since the last time we worked together (march)#and even before that we didn’t hang out outside of work since december of last year#and i have grown very used to having friends that just do not put the same amount of effort as me into our friendships and it’s sucks#so i was starting to make my peace with the fact that we just weren’t really friends anymore#but then a few months ago she started texting me asking me to hang out all the time and she seemed way more like her old self#and immediately i got sucked back in and was all excited to see her again and have her back in my life fully#but she completely flaked on me three times in a row (not even cancelling our plans but waiting until the next day to give me an excuse)#which like i said i’m unfortunately used to but she literally was the one who invited ME to hang out every time#like why are you initiating plans with me and then ignoring my calls and texts when it comes time to actually hang out#then a few weeks ago she texted me again saying we should go to a concert together bc we hadn’t in a long time#and there happens to be a concert i’ve been wanting to go to on the 31st but had no one to go with#she said she was totally in and really excited and i bought the tickets a couple days later and texted her to tell her i had#got zero response for almost a week and then she texted me yesterday saying we should hang out this week#so i said yeah let’s do it but also this concert is literally in 2 days are you still coming with me#and no response! again! so now i have 2 days to try and find someone else who can go last minute bc it seems unlikely that she will#and i’m just so fucking confused bc why do YOU keep reaching out to ME just to flake out at the last minute every single time#like at this point it feels like she’s doing it on purpose just to see if i’ll keep tolerating her bullshit#and part of me wants to just cut her off bc she’s been a terrible friend to me for months at this point#but i can’t bring myself to do it bc i miss her so much anyway and when our friendship was good it was really fucking good#like i considered this girl one of my best friends and now it feels like she’s just playing games with me bc she’s bored#which sucks extra bc last year she was there for me when literally none of my long time friends were#like it’s bad enough that it seems like our friendship was conditional on us being coworkers#but it hurts more and more every time she reappears in my life just to ghost me again like genuinely why would you do that#so i’m really upset and pissed off rn and i have no idea wtf to do about the concert bc idk anyone else who likes the artist enough to go#vent#lj.txt

Catch me calling up my high school to be like "hi yes I graduated from your institution 15 years ago but I need to know, did I take biology?"
#not really but i'm kind of tempted bc wtf. i honestly don't remember#i guess it just wasn't memorable in comparison to the others?#phys science was memorable bc it was split w/ lunch in the middle#so often i would spend the second half passed out after eating a blueberry muffin#(i'm allergic to blueberries so i can't breathe right when i eat them so i'd pass out)#(always recovered by the time class was over tho dw. the sugar & caffeine of Mtn Dew helped)#(that's not WHY i ate the muffins btw i just rly like blueberry muffins & felt the taste was worth it)#(also i was 15/16 so my decision making was not the best)#also my teacher was a huge pothead & was often high so he also dozed off the second half#and then earth science was memorable bc we held a Game Boy Pokémon tournament that year#it wasn't JUST our earth science class. it was the whole senior class.#but that was a blowoff class bc the tests were open note so i played a lot of Pkmn in that class#so i remember that. biology was just too normal in comparison ig :/

ladue is bringing something out of me (latent orchestra nerd remembering what it was like to participate in a school orchestra)
#speculation nation#i remembered the liminality of visiting other schools after-hours for competitions#waiting around in dim lunch rooms as we waited for our turns#as other schools' orchestras sat in different sections of the room in their own little islands of people#thinking of being the 4th chair of the first violin section of our advanced orchestra (out of 3 orchestras)#in theory the 4th best violinist of my school in my senior year of high school. out of 3 orchestras' worth of violinists#man i really miss that time. yea senior year was also literally one of the worst times of my life BUT#i played a lot of really fun music. so maybe it was all worth it in the end.#i miss waiting around for concerts to begin just straight up gaming lmfao#i'd always bring my 3ds or psp or psvita to school. whatever had my fancy at the time. 3ds was always a fav tho#but strong memories of sitting with my psp playing persona 2 innocent sin as i waited for concerts to begin#hearing eikichi's 'singing' with a general din of practicing string instruments sounded around me#i hated my fucking Life during that time. but orchestra was always something i enjoyed.#i miss it. i missssssss it. god i really need to find a way to join an orchestra sometime bc MAN

being someone who started xiv w 5.3 (basically! though i caught up with everything with 5.5) man all the changed in xiv since then (like the earliest dungeons being changed, the ending of 2.0 with the fights being made to be better) kinda make me sad because i am a sentimental person but also it really has improved the game even if i do miss the past, however uh. worse it may have been! also because my friends who get into ffxiv will never be able to experience what i have and as time goes on that will continue to happen, and then new players as well... so yeah. feeling this way esp with regard to cape westwind the hardest fight in game T___T

#since everyone is sharing their stories in the tags here are mine#my school didn't really have incident but rather a few fucked up things over the years#there was one time when the seniors from the school next to ours had their last day#our schools have always been rivals and actual fights have happened often just for going to the other school#frequently these fights ended in the hospital for someone#anyway on that day the rivalry peaked#the other school destroyed blinds from our ground level classrooms which took a year to finally be fixed#also they put a shopping cart in the parking lot of our teachers and filled it with newspapers and then proceeded to burn the entire thing#and just the entire school yard was a mess basically#every senior year designed some form of stone as a memento kinda thing which would be put in the school yard#one from a few years ago got sprayed with graffiti which took a full semester to get rid of bc they couldn't find anything that erased it#i think you can still see it very lightly#anyway all that happened on one day after school ended and everyone went home#the next morning was VERY interesting#that was probably the most interesting incident#funfact: the same senior year ruined their own school as well#because of that their principal forbade the next senior year to do anything fun on their last day#although in my country it's basically a tradition to have a so called which would USUALLY just involve fun stuff#like balloons in the hallways for example or getting students out of class for one hour and playing games in the school yard with music#instead all the next senior year from my rival school could do was illegally drink alcohol off the school grounds#the first people got picked up by the police at 7am that day because they were alcohol poisened and started to break stuff#that was literally an hour before their classes would've started#turned out that they met there at 4am to and drink alcohol because they weren't allowed to have their#funfact number two: that was the same year I was a senior and our chaos day got allowed and we had the time of our lives#it was called one of the best chaos days our school ever had lmao#if you've read all the way until here congratulations#and apoligies for the ramble#cay rambles

I’m still playing Sims 4 and so I made a household with a Sim of myself so I can try doing a bunch of different careers (for the items lol)
I ended up romancing Don Lothario and accidentally had his kid after downloading and trying out the WW mod (we had 1 date prior, and I asked for him to live in with me afterwards).
I wasn’t paying too much attention to his name (since this was my first time playing Sims 4 since mid 2010s and I don’t know characters or lore), and used the random name generator and named our daughter, Dawn. I did not realize I basically named her after him lol.
As things are now
We’re partners and “soulmates”
I go out to work (currently doing the spy career), while he’s basically my househusband
He was a creative freelancer when he was added to my household so he makes A LOT from paintings, and sometimes music
I gave him an variation of his default everyday outfit to give him glasses (bc I’m into glasses, but “lorewise” he spends more time at a screen for work so he started to need them)
I used a mod to change his “non-committal” trait into being a family man, and bc he’d still get tense from being “non-committal” (despite trying to get rid of it) I got a “carefree” potion from the rewards store RIP
I don’t 100% remember before changing it, but he was a decent dad beforehand. Now, its super cute seeing him chat and play with our daughter
My Sim wants to marry him, but I’ve been worried about him potentially refusing so I’ve just stuck with being “partners”
I did do a wedding on a different household (OC marrying Liberty) and that was a mess especially since I have no idea what I’m doing
I do now have actual venues to use in the future instead of the ugly base game park 👍
I did give my Sim the same necklace that he wears as a sorta “promise ring” in her outfits (I think its cute lol)
Bc I’m stuck on leveling stats, we don’t leave the house that often. But the WW mod has kept things… spicy without actual dates lmao
I think I’m going to try proposing and just having an incredibly long engagement soon…
#desiree talks#desiree plays#i would like to ignore any of the lore he actually has bc he’s mine now lol#also these are definitely not his kids but Katrina Caliente had two kids?#they’re both black so I’m certain that it was an auto generated NPC before I cleaned up the households#aka moving families back in their home finding stuff in the gallery to upgrade their homes etc#and editing the stories mode settings so they stay and stop having babies#and deleting auto generated sims that were ugly or had too many bad traits#so RIP i won’t know who the dad is and same for Dina and her kid looks asian#our daughter dawn isn’t undeniably cute (she got her eyes and looks like she has no lashes so it’s a bit weird#HIS EYES not mine#im so sorry sweetheart i love you and i’ll max your stats again before making you a teen#like i want to age her but i also want to buy dlc (when on sale) so we can make more memories aka the growing together dlc#also another thing about the WW mod i have to test it so NPCs don’t be doing the nasty in public#i saw one of my OC sims getting railed at the bookstore i placed and I was traumatized#like i have to triple check and test my settings#i also feel like a degen for having the mod and using it a ton on my sim and don but i dont hate it lol#like don is hot af after the design refresh#he got the best of it in comparison to the caliente girls#i saw his early sims 4 design and he looks like barely 20 with a incel podcast or just a listener#and his designs from past games make him look like a 40 year old divorcee#currently he looks like he’s around 30 and I’m getting closer to that age anyway#there are some cute animations either from WW or kawaii’s SoL mod (idr but its probably WW) and they’re really cute#god i want an actual relationship but i need a job and some personal security first before i feel comfortable putting myself out there#i tried the mod with my ocs and it felt more wrong than it being a sim of myself and my basically husband#hang on this is going in an actual post

#the bin#shes also the only normal person in my family#and when i say normal i mean it in a treats other people with respect way not in a societally normal way#cause she the least 'normal' of my family in that way. which is a good thing. be a freak. autism makes u cooler by default#idk. she sthe only person who i feel like actually cares about me and my opinion and wants to hear what i have to say and views me right#i wish we talked more when i was younger. shes so nice. i hope when i move we can houngout together more and maybe watch some movies#and talk abt stuff or smth. we r probably gonna play some games together soon which is nice#i miss her. i think i can also talk to her abt how our other sister kinda sucks. i know she views her pretty highly or at least used to but#i still think i can. i dont think itll make her uncomfortable.#ive been looking over the past years with my other sister and they havent really been any good mostly#ive just been so isolated and sad that it was better than nothing but its past that point now#if id had other people to talk to then i wouodnt have soent so much time with someone making me feel worse#i also think shes just made me a worse person overall. more judgemental. the past year ive become very against that trying hard to not#and she gets very upset with me when im like hey. yknow. id rather assume the best of random strangers not doing anything that bad#i dont wanna assume everyone is an inconsiderate asshole because they arent. life circumstances we dont know about could be#the reason for this honestly pretty mild inconvenience. if u wanna think otherwise then thats fine but dont day it around me#idk. im tired of it. im still super sad but ive become a much more bright and hopeful person because im trying to be#it actually sucks to view the whole world as horrible and everyone around you ass horrible#idk. maybe i can get my other sister to do the fun stuff with me i dont like doing alone#cause it makes me unbelievably sad to realize i dont have anyone to ask anymore at all. period. but maybe it doesnt have to be that way

#My memory is horrible and I might be getting things mixed up and out of order but this is roughly what I remember#I believe the first time we met was near the end of freshman year of high school right after finals#I was really obsessed with tf2 at the time and would even bring in my laptop to play video games during lunch.#I believe they saw me playing TF2 or some type of game but I don't exactly remember what we said to each other.#We didn't interact too much after that and went our separate ways until the end of summer#Cut to sophomore year and we have the same class together in English this time#I noticed they brought their handmade TF2 Archimedes plush sitting on their shoulders and I asked if I could pet him#A bunch of things happen afterwards: I get invited to hang out with their friend group during lunch I start getting to know them better.#I won't go into all the details but now we've been best friends for 9 years and still going strong :)
