Autonomous crafting for all teen+ Sims
I've never before been so happy to share a creation! Get ready to get crafting, because it's about to get autonomous! Released today in collaboration with the wonderful @joplayingthesims who has built a community lot for the mod, seen in the pictures below. Exciting!
Tumblr media
In my game, I have a community lot with crafting stations for Sims who can't afford one, or don't have space for one. But as I visited it recently with one of my college students wanting to learn flower arrangement, I got a bit depressed by all the empty stations and the other visitors just standing around chatting. I wondered if anyone had added autonomy, and I came upon iCad's autonomy enabler. While neat, it only adds autonomy for the active household which is the opposite of what I wanted. So I made my own that enables it for visiting Sims as well, only to quickly realize how annoying that got. All these Sims asking me to pick a recolor for them, blergh! So I went on tweaking, fixing the annoyances as they came up, and here we are! Finally it is possible to have a lively crafting studio where all Sims participate, without being annoying for you the player! Are you excited? Because I am excited!
What does the mod do? - Enables autonomy on "make many" and "continue" (see readme for more info on why not make one) for all five original crafting types - Robots, toy making, flower arrangement, pottery and sewing - Does NOT charge your Sims money for background Sim crafting. Money sounds and visuals show for all Sims, but only your current households crafting charges household funds. - By default only autonomous on community lots. Has optional autonomy on residential/apartment lots, you can enable autonomy on those lot types by placing the Autonomy Toggler object somewhere on the lot (custom object made using parts of the FT crafting clutter, found in hobbies/misc for 1 simoleon). I set it up this way as residential autonomy sounds irritating to me, but I'm all about flexibility for the user. Perhaps you want to run arts classes at your residential playable school, or you simply like autonomy more than I do :) Please note that autonomy advertisement is tuned with community lot use in mind, so it might be higher than you'd want for residential. If there's interest I am happy to make a second version with lower advertising for those who primarily want residential use. If you are somewhat familiar with TTAB edits yourself, you can try changing attenuation code to low or medium to limit advertisement distance which will reduce appeal to Sims. VER 2: Toggler object now also works on community lots, turning off autonomy if present on community lot. Residential/apartment behavior remains the same as before. - Fixes annoyances with background crafting, such as selecting recolors and pop ups about progress - Changes inventory mechanics to allow for owned studio-type use, in case you'd like a friendly owner Sim present to provide instruction. Crafting now only goes to business lot owner if done by an employee, otherwise crafting Sim gets the object. Includes home business, so if it bothered you that family members don't get to keep their work, this also fixes that. If that part annoys you, see readme for how to remove this feature.
Download mod on simfileshare | Download ver 2 on simfileshare (New version out, fixing a bug reported by Nemertes. More info here)
You might say "Okay well fun for you Gummi, but I don't have a community lot with crafting stations, so why would I need this?". Well fortunately Joandsarah has the solution for that problem! Check out the cute crafting studio she built to give all of you a place to start community crafting! Available on MTS
Tumblr media
Conflicts: Only known conflict is iCad's original autonomy enabler, you have to pick if you want hers version of autonomy, or mine :) Readme contains breakdown of the functionality of all parts, to help you decide a load order should you encounter conflicts. It should be possible to resolve conflicts though if there are any others, so please report them to me :)
Credits: @joplayingthesims for collaborating with me and providing a lot that you can get started with if you don't have one, iCad at @dramallamadingdang for the original autonomy enabling mod, @cityof2morrow who helped playtest the mod
If anyone else builds a community lot intended for autonomous use, I hope you let me know somehow so I can add links to it in my post :) If any other modders see ways to improve on what I did, please feel free to do so :) I am hoping to eventually post an update that sends all crafting to inventory to fix the make one issue, and the station clogging that happens over time.

Ginniversary Drabble 1
Prompt: N39 "Don't let it worry you, it's me, I'm extremely famous."
AO3 or read below:
“Isn't he just the most gorgeous thing you've ever seen?”
The question, directed at Ginny from Selena Savage, one of Harry's friendlier co-workers, was answered very quickly in the affirmative. “Honestly, I'm obsessed with him.”
“How could you not be?” Selena replied, her dark hair falling across her face as she leaned forward to get a better view. “Oh, look at those eyes.”
Instinctively, needing very little encouragement, Ginny did just that. She looked down to find James’ wide, blue eyes staring back at her, blinking in contentment.
“The midwitch says they'll probably change colour,” Ginny said, staring, transfixed, at her son. “Any time now, actually, she said around three months old.”
“They have a bet,” Neville added, from where he leant against the wall opposite, having given up his desk chair for Ginny and James. “Ginny reckons they're going to be green and Harry thinks brown.”
“Either way he's going to be such a handsome boy, aren't you?” Selena leant further over the desk and brushed one finger gently across James’ round cheek.
“Do you want to hold him?” Ginny offered.
It had become a sort of sixth sense of late, detecting who was comfortable with babies, and who wanted absolutely nothing to do with them based on only the smallest interactions.
Selena lifted James out of her arms before Ginny had finished the question.  “I thought your mummy would never ask,” she cooed at James, who hardly stirred as he was passed from one person to another.
Neville snorted in amusement. “Careful, I don't know if you're on Harry's pre-approved list of people allowed to look at his baby.”
Selena shot Ginny a knowing look. “Being a bit protective, is he?”
“He's not that bad,” Ginny replied in defense of her husband. She quickly received a (deserved) disbelieving laugh from Neville.
Fortunately, a head popped over the divider that separated Neville's workspace from the rest of the office, saving Ginny from having to respond.
“I heard I'm no longer the most important person in the building,” Kingsley said, his gaze going straight to James.
“Where did you hear that?” Ginny demanded, unease began to spread within her. “This was supposed to be a clandestine visit.”
“I'm the Minister for Magic, I have my sources.” Kingsley smiled smoothly; the expression went some way to soothing Ginny's taut nerves. “And they happened to inform me that half my Auror office was focusing on things other than work.”
“It's hardly half your Auror office,” said a familiar voice as Harry appeared in the doorway, smiling broadly as his eyes went immediately to James.
“Everything okay?” He said, gaze flicking to Ginny, waiting for her nod, and then going immediately back to the baby.
“No,” Kingsley said, though his laughter took any sting out of the word. “I didn't expect him to become a security issue quite yet, I thought he might at least wait until he could walk.”
“He's very advanced for his age,” Harry said, wordlessly taking James from Selena's grasp and holding him against his chest. “Hello trouble,” he said softly.
“Are you ready to go?” Ginny asked.
She looked towards the clock on the wall beside Neville's head. Despite Kingsley's half-hearted suggestions no one was getting any work done, it was technically ten minutes past the end of the working day.
Harry shook his head. “Hermione said if we leave and she hasn't held him, she'll track us down and do things to us that I don't want to repeat in front of him.”
“She holds him all the time,” Ginny said, smiling despite her exasperation. “We told Mum we'd be at the Burrow as soon as you finished work.”
This proved not to be a problem, however; no sooner had Ginny finished speaking, than the hurried click of heels could be heard in the walkway beyond.
“Here she is,” Kingsley said, head turning to face the direction which held the entrance of the Auror office.
A moment later, Hermione's hair preceded Ginny's view of her in the doorway.
“We might have a situation.” Her eyes were wide with alarm.
Ginny saw Harry's arms tighten around James protectively. “What kind of a situation?”
She worried nervously at her lip before answering. “I don't know who told them, but there's a small army of press photographers in the Atrium.”
“I knew this would happen,” Harry sighed, eyes going immediately to Ginny for her reaction.
They'd been so careful for the past three months, not leaving the house unless strictly necessary, and, when it was, sticking to Muggle areas, but Ginny had been losing her mind inside the house, and she'd assured him a short trip to the office as he finished work wouldn't catch anyone's attention.
She shot him a look now which she hoped said, ‘sorry, I was wrong.’
“It's fine,” she said aloud. “We'll just ignore them, walk straight to the fireplaces, and not give a comment. They'll only get a few photographs.”
Harry turned to Kingsley. “I don't suppose you can kick them out?”
“Kick the press out of a public part of the Ministry?” Kingsley laughed. “I'm not dealing with those headlines – not even for you.”
Harry sighed again. “Fine. Let's get this over with.”
“Do you hear that, James?” Ginny rose enthusiastically from Neville's chair. “That's the positive mental attitude we're trying to instill in you.”
Right on cue, Harry's scowl transformed into a smile. One that lasted long enough to say goodbye to the others and reach the lift, at which point it slid from his face again.
Neither of them spoke on the way down, though Ginny did manage to catch Harry's eye once; the grin she gave him seemed to go someway to dissipating the waves of nervous energy radiating off him.
“Ready?” She asked as the doors slid open.
Harry didn't answer her. He was too occupied looking down at James, who had begun to fuss in his arms. “Don't let it worry you,” he said softly. “It's me, I'm extremely famous.”

Demi Demon || Alastor x Reader, A2 part 4
Synopsis: It’s been over a year since we were brought under Alastor’s watchful eye. We’ve unlocked our Demonic powers, discovered our own talents, and began building the Safe Haven with Charlie and co. Alastor seems increasingly interested in the power we hold as one and intends to use it properly.
Previous part
Part 4: forever tied
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Whispers filled my ears. They turned into moans, morphed into wails, and pierced my eardrums with screams. The terrified faces circled me and their cloudy claws passed through my body. I couldn't breathe and my entire body was frozen in place. I couldn't move.
Striker's yellow eyes popped open. His smile emerged and glinted in the light. He wrapped his claws around my throat and a horrible collection of wails escaped his open jaws as they came down on my face.
I shot up with a yell. I clutched my chest as my eyes scanned the dim room. Everything was so still that I could see the dust drifting to the floor. There was nothing and no one here. My heart was still pounding in my ears as I stretched out my magic sense. Alastor was already downstairs but it had felt like he had been in my room only moments ago.
I let out a sigh and fell back into my bed. I had been having a ski load nightmare every now and then. It was making me concerned that I was having repeated dreams now.
I stretched in an effort to release the adrenaline. That's when I noticed a plate on the bedside table with three small cubes of meat. My mouth immediately started to water but I hesitated. He had been in my room. Why did he leave them, though? What was in them? Another mind drug of some kind? Something else?
I couldn't resist though and, sitting up, I ate one of the cubes and got myself ready for the day. When nothing happened, aside from the satisfying feeling of my cravings disappearing, I ate the other two. I found Husker in the kitchen and asked about the plate. He shrugged and also found it odd that Alastor had left them for me.
It took only two days for me to realize Alastor was putting distance between us. Training sessions stopped and he wouldn't try to touch me. It actually became rare for us to be in the same room. Had I worn him out? Was something about to happen? Was he keeping his distance to see if I would chase after him for that rush of energy when we touched?
Regardless of his reasons, I was happy to have a break from him. My chest felt lighter and I found myself spending more and more time in the Safe Haven. I would help where I could but most of the time I just watched everything and everyone. Vivian, our teacher, had a schedule for the children that allowed them time inside learning and outside playing. When we spoke, she had mentioned how surprised she was that she needed to teach them social skills and basic things about our world. I reminded her that most of them could only remember being trapped in cages and only allowed out when they had to fight. Manners weren't a thing.
Fights were still a common thing among the young children. The teenagers were able to ignore that instinct, for the most part, but the younger ones were not used to settling their problems with words rather than fists. When I first began watching the lessons, I thought Vivian would need help stopping these fights. Though it took only seconds for her to pull them apart and sit them back in their seats. She was a kind, quiet woman but she didn't play around when it came to these petty fights. As good as I was at stopping the older folks fight, she was fantastic at preventing most of them before they happened.
Althea was much like me in the observing and watching aspect. She sat on the steps to her hut and watched the construction. We had been fortunate enough that most injuries were minor but every now and then someone would get sick and a few others would follow. She was able to keep the sickness from spreading and made them feel better by the next day. I noticed her hair was turning a bright green at her roots, telling me that she had a different hair color hiding underneath the black dye.
The Safe Haven was now called the Hazbin Haven, serving as a tribute and show of respect for Charlie's hotel. The princess was all over the place, seemingly never still or resting. I caught Vaggie having to forcefully pull her away from a project to make her sleep.
Alastor brought the journalist, Spencer, to the haven to take a picture of what had been built already. The man kept himself as small as possible as he walked beside Alastor. It wasn't until a few minutes after they had been talking that Spencer seemed to stand taller and had a genuine smile on his face. What were they talking about?
It wasn't until Spencer started taking pictures with an old camera that I finally figured out why Alastor was talking to him so much. They had a common interest - old technology. Alastor brought him back to his old print shop once he had finished. From how long he was taking, I could guess he was making sure everything in the article was perfect.
As the days went on, I found myself spending more and more time with Althea and Vivian. I ate dinner with everyone in the grand hall but usually sat with the two women instead of Charlie's group. Husker made it a point to have breakfast with me every morning after my comment awhile back. It felt good to spend time with just him again.
A meeting with Charlie revealed that we had far more humans than Demons at the haven. She failed at recruiting more of the overpopulated Demons from Hell. No one wanted anything to do with the Radio Demon. It didn't make sense, though, considering that they were more likely to be murdered if they didn't belong to the haven that the princess of Hell was running.
So Charlie started paying close attention to social media and the news. She would listen for the scheduled executions for Demons and ask me to go with her to save them. These publicized executions had disappeared on this side of the continent but was still a wide practice elsewhere.
I should've known our luck would run out soon.
Charlie teleported us just outside a city. We scouted the buildings to find where the Demons were being held until their execution. It was well past midnight and very dark with a new moon. They were scheduled to die in four hours.
I waited on the roof with Charlie as Vaggie and a few others went into the jailhouse. My senses were on high alert and something in the air felt off. For a big city, it was awfully quiet. Usually cities this big had officers walking through the streets.
"Something's wrong," I said to Charlie. I stretched out my magic sense to Husker and the others but they seemed fine. They were still moving around and no fear was emitting from anyone.
Husker opened the door and a collection of officers had the entrance circled in an instant. Their guns cocked and the tips pointed right at his chest. Half the group was already outside but not a single gun went off yet.
I wasn't going to let it. I ran across the roof and glided into the center of the circle. I casted a huge gust of wind right as I landed, throwing everyone off their feet. I whipped my wings up and back so the dust dispersed faster. I looked and felt bigger, my shadow covering the bewildered faces. I noticed a few of them escaped down the closest street.
"Fire!" the captain yelled. I curled my claws inward and the tips of their rifles bent upwards. Some of them backfired painfully. The group began to disperse as the captain screamed and ordered them to stand their ground.
I slowly paced towards the captain. He dropped his rifle and pulled a smaller one from his hip. I casted it out of his grip with a flick of my fingers. I needed only to take a few more steps before he ran down a street after his men.
I noticed onlookers from the surrounding buildings. Many of them had their phones out recording me. I really hoped this wouldn't do more damage than good.
When I turned on my heels to face the group, I noticed a look of awe on some of their faces. There was a mix of various horns, tails, feathers, fur, and more. I stayed in my Demon form as I approached the group. Husker and I touched claws before he took the lead down the street. I brought up the rear, helping an injured mother carrying a newborn baby. Was this city really going to kill a baby?
Charlie was ecstatic about having more Demons around. Althea had her hands full healing pressing injuries from when they had been forcefully taken and imprisoned.
I kept my distance and watched from afar, content on the flat roof of one of the new buildings. Some of the current residents had woken up from the commotion and came out to see what was happening. Many of the current Demons came to meet the newcomers, happy to have more people like themselves.
My ear twitched at the sound of Alastor's shadow work. I remained in my sitting position and listened to the tap of his boots and cane. His presence was around my shields but not up against it like usual.
"Something on your mind?" His radio filter buzzed in my ear.
"Just thinking." I pulled one leg up to rest my chin on it.
"About?"
I was silent for a moment. "We're trying to help people but it's our fault for them needing it in the first place."
"What do you mean?" I heard him shift his feet to look at me completely.
"If we hadn't made a broadcast about Demon-kind, they might still be okay to live their life without fear."
"They would have to hide their true nature their entire life. What life is that to live?"
"Better than being hunted by everyone and forced to live somewhere else." I scratched at a spot near my foot.
"You ought to spend more time with Charlie," he said, "She talks endlessly about how happy some folks are. You seem to always be involved in the disputes."
I stretched my hearing to listen to the conversations. The mother I had been helping was thanking Charlie repeatedly. The others were talking to current residents about believing they would never see the light of day again. They were actually happy?
"You seem to be distant lately," I ventured, changing the subject. I kept my eyes focused on the group instead of his sharp smile.
"Does that bother you?" He cocked his head to the side.
"It's out of character for you. Is there a reason?"
"Not in particular." He rubbed his claws together. "Rosie has been asking of you. She wants to see you again."
"That would be nice." I heard little whispers and tilted my head to look up at him.
"Hm?" He caught my quick turn.
"Nothing. Thought I heard something." I continued to watch the group from afar. It took me a minute before I realized Alastor was in my head again. I hadn't felt him push through my shields. He was just a cool presence almost blending with mine.
Surprising myself, I let my own presence become more mailable and smaller, allowing him to cover entirely and meld with me. I followed his magic trail and wound my way into his own mindscape. Well, it wasn't his mindscape—more like his memories.
I could see him and Spencer bent over the first article. Then I could see him watching me and Husker from the upstairs window. It faded to him and Rosie talking in her store. I could hear this conversation plain as day, as if he was also visiting it and letting it play out.
I felt my heart drop in my stomach. He did have a reason for keeping his distance. He had started his plan to 'treat me nicely' so I would actually care about him. It jumped to previous conversations with Rosie and if my mouth was working, it was hanging open.
He was trying to strengthen our connection so he could test out its abilities and limits. He didn't actually want to have a connection, he just wanted me to be at his level enough to make it strong. It was all a trick, all manipulation. I wasn't hurt or surprised. I knew he was a manipulative freak but it made me angry.
My distaste wobbled the connection. I was harshly thrown back to my own mind and the back of my head hit the edge of the roof.
"Don't ever do that again!" he snapped. He was bent forward and his knees locked. His antlers had stretched out as his eyes darkened to the red dials.
As he stood up I shoved him back with my legs. He stumbled and his tentacles came up to pin my legs to the roof. He dusted off his chest where I had pushed him and stalked towards me.
"You won't succeed!" I yelled, making him pause. "I'll make sure you never taste the feeling of our power. I'm not a tool to be used."
"You are a headache," he hissed, curling a red claw near my face.
"I'm not the one manipulating someone for my own benefit."
"If you actually worked with me this would be easier for both of us."
I sliced my claws through his tentacles and they faded into shadows. We both stood up simultaneously. "Have you forgotten how you started this? How you kidnapped me, how you treated me, how you drugged me." I was expecting him to take a step back as I advanced but he didn't. I let myself grow slightly bigger so I was almost at his eye level. "You invade my personal space and my mind. Why would I want to work with you?"
His smile didn't fade, his eyes narrowing and his presence wrapping around me. This one felt hot and heavy, dangerously claustrophobic. He said, "I have been incredibly patient and kind with you." I scoffed, taking a step back to put distance again. "I could have you back in a cage in a dark basement. No one would ever know where you were and no one would ever come looking. You'd be trapped down there for eternity. Yet I have not done that. I have provided you with a bed, clothes, food, and recently an incredible amount of freedom. If our fates were not tied, you would not be alive."
"But we are." I used my Human form and slowly stepped toward him. "Our souls are forever tied. We may even be powerful together, but unless you can treat me with even just the basic amount of respect, nothing will come of it." My legs were dangersouly close to visibly shaking and my palms were wet with sweat. I felt like I was dangling myself over the jaws of a bear trap, not sure when or if I will fall into it.
My airways started to close. I fought against his magic to reopen them but he was much stronger. I collapsed to my knees as the lack of oxygen took all my energy. I tried so hard to just breathe. He couldn't kill me but this was dangerous.
"Your lack of respect towards me does not warrant more on my end." He stepped close so his boots almost touched my hands. I fell onto my elbows and eventually my back. The corners of my vision were getting darker, zoning in on his terrifying face. "I'm the one in control. Until you've reached my level, which I expect to take centuries, that fact will always remain."
My airways opened up just enough for me to get a little more oxygen. I rolled onto my elbows in an effort to stand, though it was in vain. He bent down and pulled my chin up so I was forced to look him in the eyes.
"You are mine for eternity." The venom in his voice wasn't as sharp but the threat was still there. "This will work in my favor one way or another. I'm gracing you with the opportunity to choose how in which that happens." He let go of my face and my airways opened. I sucked in the sweet, cold air as he disappeared into the shadows.
I thought I had this handled.
Ooooooh to have Alastor say 'you are mine for eternity' :P
Log of the Multiverse: Cross and XChara
Cross and XChara (usually referred to as just "Chara") both hail from Xtale, an au that's fallen into ruin ever since the creator, XGaster, was contained.
I was shocked to find out that the creator was one of the characters in their universe, but Ink told me he was a false creator, as he was merely a puppet to the true creator that lies beyond our realm and comprehension. It's like how a meta character in a piece of fiction can be written to act "aware", but it's still being written by somebody. Ain't that weird?
Don't think about that for too long.
So Xtale was kinda an empty void after XGaster was taken care of—that's the fault of Cross who killed like, all of his friends (but xpapyrus was the one who killed basically everyone else. GEEZ i couldn't imagine my brother killing a fly! hurting a fly definitely. but killing?? yeesh) and then absorbed xfrisk's soul because he thought he'd be able to OVERWRITE (<- a mechanic their world has where you can basically do whatever the hell you want, or something) his world turned out he couldn't do that sooo.
yeah he was NOT happy about losing his world (and somewhat playing a part in its downfall)
and also xchara's linked to frisk's soul for some reason. so he kinda just had xchara haunting him for awhile.
Luckily! Ink, Dream and I were able to help Cross cope through his loss!
It took so much time. like so much.
He eventually came to accept his world would never come back, but he got an idea. Since his universe couldn't be repaired to what it was before, why not create something new? Of course he couldn't create new people but after learning there were more people that have lost their homes like him (and me) he thought: why not make this place a safe haven for people like him?
Ink encouraged him. He was Very enthusiastic about it actually, he even helped with decorating the place (as in he painted every building. and all the scenery).
Of course, Cross isn't like Dream and Ink, who can sense negativity or when someone's world is destroyed, so those two tend to give him a heads up on where to go (or they just drop people off themselves)
At first we've just been calling it "Xtale" but obviously the place has changed drastically so we decided to call it something else.
unfortunately somehow all of us (even the ARTIST) weren't able to come up with that creative of a name and settled for calling it "the hub"
Now, I didn't forget about XChara, they were getting tired of having to haunt Cross all the time, so I decided to take up a little project.
And by me, I mean I asked Alphys (from a post-pacifist undertale au, we're buddies. yes i'm allowed to be friends with her because they're no longer following the game's script) to help me make a robot body. i made a prototype that ended up being completely non-functional. so alphys kindly made a complete one that WAS functional for me. even though i insisted she didn't need to do that but she said she enjoyed doing it and that i would've popped blood vessels i didn't have if i kept trying to make one (she's right. i was never that big of an engineer)
so the hard part was separating cross and chara. except it WASNT because their souls are WEIRD and i literally just wrenched their pieces apart like lego pieces it was crazy. unfortunately they still only have half of each of their souls. but hey, they can live just fine like that! they're just not as strong as they would be.
well, mainly in cross's case. chara has a cool robot body now that's loaded with defense.
So anyway, yeah! That's about it.
Pretty happy outcome for these guys, despite all the hardships of course.
But I heard from Ink, in this other multiverse this thing called the "X-Event" occurs. It sounded pretty rough from what I remember. But fortunately our Ink isn't like the one in that multiverse! He's too much of a softy
The final part of my “Casper’s Spectral Spectacle” Prequel Fic
Part One Part Two
————————————————————
The tension in the dark foyer was palpable.
Kat was pacing nervously, occasionally looking towards the center of the floor. The Trio watched her dispassionately, Stretch smoking a cigarette he pulled out of nowhere.
Dr. Harvey simply stood in place, hands in his pockets, his expression unreadable as he stared at the corner of the room.
The foyer lit up with faint green light as Kibosh slowly rose through the floor. Casper followed shortly after and quickly made his way towards Kat and Dr. Harvey. He gave a concerned Kat a look to show he was ok, then turned to Kibosh and waited.
Stretch pinched the tip of his cigarette then flicked it away. He folded his arms as he and his brothers looked up at the green intruder with wariness and disdain.
“So,” Kibosh intoned, looking down at the Harveys and Casper with a bored expression. “It would seem that this…Lazarus,” he ground the name out with disgust. “Has been rendered well and truly useless.”
Casper allowed some of the tension he was feeling bleed out. Good. That meant the machine could no longer be used for evil purposes. The potential of such a contraption falling into the wrong hands was not something he liked thinking about.
Kibosh leaned forward slightly, glaring at Casper through narrowed eyes. “Make sure it stays that way.”
Casper gulped, then nodded. “Yes, sir.”
Kibosh’s gaze turned to Dr. Harvey. “Do you realize just what that machine was that brought you back, James Harvey?”
A bead of sweat slowly crept down Dr. Harvey’s brow. “I…I don’t…”
“An abomination.” Kibosh growled. “A blight upon this world. The fact that you have been brought back to life by this machine is a disruption of the Balance and a violation of the laws of Death.” He tilted his head to the side, like a curious child staring at a big in a jar. “By all rights, I should rip your soul from your body and drag you kicking and screaming into the darkness pit, never to be seen or heard of again.”
The fact he said this so calmly, so casually…Dr. Harvey felt his heart stutter in his chest.
There was a whooshing sound, and the Ghostly Trio were immediately in front of Casper and the Harveys. “Now wait just a damn minute!” Stretch shouted, his face a mask of outrage.
“This isn’t Doc’s fault!” Stinkie cried.
“Yeah!” Fatso agreed. “We were the ones who-“
Kibosh didn’t even look at them. He grabbed all three ghosts in his fist and, with a flick of his wrist, sent the Trio flying to the side. They all heard Stretch scream, “MOTHERFU-!!!” Before they went through the wall. Several thuds and loud crashes could be heard in the distance.
“Fortunately for you,” Kibosh continued speaking as if he hadn’t been interrupted. “Your death turned out to be ahead of your scheduled time. Your resurrection has set you back on schedule. Good for you.”
Casper dared to speak up. “So…does that mean he get to stay?”
“He gets to stay.” Kibosh said flatly.
Dr. Harvey let out a breath he didn’t realize he was holding. “Thank you, Kibosh. Sir. I don’t know how-“
“Do not thank me, James Harvey. I have done you no favor. You may not realize it yet, but your destiny has now been irrevocably changed. There is no going back for you.” Kibosh’s lips twitched into a smirk. “To be frank, you probably would have been better off simply staying dead.”
There was a rumble of thunder, and bolt of lightning struck out of nowhere. Casper and the Harveys had to cover their eyes to shield themselves from the blinding light. When they dared to look, they saw glowing green smoke dissipate and disappear into the floor.
Seconds later, the lights all popped back on with an audible hum.
————————————
Dr. Harvey didn’t sleep well that night. He couldn’t get the colossal green ghost’s words out of his mind.
It wouldn’t be until four years later until he and the others started to comprehend what Kibosh was talking about.
"How long?" Your husband muttered, eyes transfixed on your belly that was growing but still not the size for someone to notice right away you were pregnant.
"The doctor said it was about 2 months. But the gender we will only discover when I reach around 18 or 21 weeks."
"Five months then." He muttered in a matter of a fact tone as you snorted.
"Pops seems excited." You giggled while your husband grimaced at the memory of the elder discovering you were pregnant.
Is not that it was a bad thing, is just that he knew how much that old man was going to be breathing down on his neck when this kid os born. Asides from Eri, pops will consider his son or daughter their grandkids too. And due to the leader's daughter not allowing Pops to have contact with Eri, it resulted that practically his kid is going to be his first real experience to have a grandchild.
So that made his fear come to the air. Pops wouldn't shut up about it. Meaning that as soon as the precepts, mimic and Chrono got to know... it was basically a green card for teasing... for those who had the courage to at least.
"Too excited even..." he grimaced again as you couldn't help but smile.
"Oh come on, don't be grouchy." You bumped your shoulder with him as you guys walked back home "I'm sure he will respect your pleadings to not tell the others or other yakuza for a while."
"I doubt it. He never listens to me." He answered bitterly as the gage of the yakuza house opened. As soon as Chisaki made you enter first you were met with Mimic, in his human form, and Chrono looking at you with wide eyes.
Chisaki sensed immediately as he got to your side with a poker face as usual.
"Chrono, Mimic. Spit it out why are you looking at us like that." Although he was pretty sure he had a feeling what was it.
"Uh..." chrono stuttered while in complete shock as Mimic opened his mouth and closed at least three times.
You and your husband looked at each other for a bit before looking at the entrance of the house to spot Pops with a not so sorry expression.
"Oh for crying out-" Kai was about to growl until Mimic decided to open his mouth.
"YoU KnOckEd Up YoUR ChICk OvErHaUL?!"
Safe to say mimic was overhauled the exact same moment right there in the yard.
.
.
"You couldn't just keep your mouth shut could you old man?" Kai growled at the smirking elder as you sighed at the attitude of your husband.
"You want me to keep a secret that will eventually come out rather you like it or not? Just yank over the bandage for once." The elder chuckled before crossing his arms "Besides, they have to know. Your son or daughter will be on the line of the Hassaikai after all."
"He has a point dear." You pointed out as Chisaki glared at you "I mean, what would be the excuse when I start to get bigger?"
"That's your business and no one has the right to speak to you about it." He growled before standing up and taking your hand in his "We will be out."
"What? Can't I at least know how the doctor went?" The elder chuckled as Chisaki growled out a "no".
"I will tell you later." You mouthed to Pops as he smiled in gratitude to you.
"Congratulations Master." You two ended up running into Tengai, Nemoto and Rappa on he way "I'm sure this child will only bring breat fortune to you and your wife's life." Nemoto spoke while you smiled at the man as Tengai bowed his head at you.
"You will do as a great mother for master Overhaul's kid miss (L/n). I'm praying this kid will be the healthiest."
Chisaki cringed internally at the thought of his kid having a illness, settling an certain type of new anxiety forming inside his chest even though outside he showed nothing but disinterest.
"Hope this parasite don't get Overjerk's genes or else you will be fucked." Rappa mumbled out as nemoto tengai and you widened your eyes.
Chisaki merely but sighed before taking off his gloves and green jacket before glaring at the buff.
"Two."
.
.
"I think you're getting too worked up for this honey..." You mumbled as he left the shower with an arched eyebrow "You overhauled just today Mimic, Rappa, Setsuno for asking if the kid was really yours and Deidoro for commenting how fat I was gonna get."
His eyes darkened at the mention of the last one.
"That's just straight up disrespect towards my wife. Apologies for trying to defend your honor." He groaned, sounding more like a child being scolded, as he went to change himself as you sighed with a chuckle.
"Kai he was drunk."
"That's not a excuse." He said over his shoulder as finally got something to cover his manhood before feeling your hands from behind him, for a moment his body responded with being rigid hut as soon as your fingers started to massage his shoulder he let himself relax with a sigh.
"Don't stress over this too much love. Now that the cat's out of the bag we can be a little bit relieved.. is not good to keep secrets all of the time, it can be very stressful." You mumbled before your lips kissed the crook of his neck gently, sending a shiver down his spine.
At your words his mind immediately went back to Eri... how he never allowed himself to tell you what he dared to do with that girl. He had given up due to you mostly but... he did felt a huge stress fill his mind whenever he reminds of that. And he refused still to talk with you about that.
"Indeed." He sighed, noticing how you still hadn't let go of his nude form "Are you going to let me change or just cling to me all day?"
"I like the latter one better." You whispered in his pierced ear as he shivered once again at your touch sliding down from his chest to near his V line.
"You're such a menace." He groaned, mentally slapping himself for getting excited over just a couple of touches and kisses from you.
"But you like me that way..." You whispered seductively before standing right in his front "After all you did 'knock me up'." You smirked at his pale face getting red as he clicked his tongue.
"Besides, I think both of us need a bit of relaxation after the stress of your commurates knowing you will be a father so-"
"Don't mention then while I'm literally about to ruin you." He muttered in anger before scopping you and throwing you on the bed "Enjoy this while you can because when this pest gets bigger we're not doing this." He spoke between heated kisses.
"You do know you won't poke the baby with your dick right?" You giggled as he stopped kissing you to glare right into your eyes above you.
"Why are you the mother of my kid again?"
"Because you fell for me. Deal with it." You poke your tongue out as he growled before going to kiss before a knock on the door interrupted you two.
Chisaki immediately sighed in annoyance while going to grab clothes to cover himself up and when he answered it he was pretty much pissed off at seeing Pops and Chrono standing there.
"So, I was thinking about Kurono being the godfather-"
"GET OUT!"
Which members promotions were your favorite so far? Hobi might win for me because that listening party was super fun and Lollapalooza was crazy. Also More sits at the same table as SMFpt2 for me as far as being really shocking and exciting when it dropped!
***
Hi Anon!
Nothing beats Yoongi’s D-DAY tour for me. My god what an experience. I was fortunate to attend multiple stops and I still have fever dreams in the middle of the day remembering how hard I was screaming along to Burn It and Huh, how my friend burst into tears during Snooze, how I choked up a bit during Life Goes On and finally lost it on The Last. The encore tours gave me the emotional equivalent of a blood transfusion. Seeing Jimin, Namjoon, and Jungkook on stage in a proper concert setting for the first time in almost a year, was really the best parting gift and I’ll always be grateful to Yoongi for it. I love that man very, very much.
That cute practice session Yoongi did for the ‘I’m so cute’ or whatever challenge with Jimin too, subbing ARMYs with screaming plushies and the live he did reading fan messages teasing us about his seven tattoo… and then that cheeky reveal after the tour ended…
Yoongi gave me everything and more with his album and the tour.
Other members too:
- SeokJin going to Argentina to promote The Astronaut with Coldplay was incredible. The planning and organizing behind that feat couldn’t have been easy but somehow they made it work and LatAm ARMYs were finally able to see at least one Tannie for the first time in a long while. That really was amazing.
- Taehyung’s Tiny Desk performances are 🤌🏽
- I loved how Jimin really thought outside the box with his promotions, choosing to go on many really fun Korean variety shows. These are shows BTS either hadn’t done ever or in something like 5 years. A lot of my K-ARMY friends loved how Jimin seemed to prioritize them fully in ways that hadn’t been done for a while.
- I tried hard to attend Joon’s small concert but work commitments didn’t allow that possibility, but I also really love his promotion choices. My partner (surprisingly) has become a tiny bit obsessed with Joon’s Tiny Desk performance lol, so I suspect Joon has gained a new fan.
- Think I’ve already talked about how Hobipalooza was the concert highlight of 2022 for me. Hobi had such a short time to put everything together, and I’m proud of him for going out of his comfort zone a bit sending out invites and throwing the launch party. I loved seeing him just celebrate his success, seeing the other members chill out and have a good time.
- It was nice seeing that at least one member did not forget Europe exists with their promotions (😭), so I’m glad Jungkook could make the trip over to promote Seven in the UK.
The rapline’s album projects are easily some of the best releases this year in any genre for me. And I’m not even trying to be biased. Corroborated by critics reviews, each album is a solid, cohesive, and cerebrally stimulating piece of art and I’m so proud of them for putting it together. It’s easy to see how BTS has become the biggest band in the world when you have these three men who can stand as respected artists in their own right, being the bedrock of the music created by BTS for the last 10 years.
Jimin’s debut with FACE ended k-pop in 2023. I’m not sure if you’re aware, but the industry as we know it, life as we know it, Jimin as we knew him, ended in March 2023. What Jimin did with Set Me Free Pt 2 still gives me goosebumps when I think about it. That song was a warning shot, a small mercy to the industry to warn them in advance of who Jimin is prepared to become as a solo artist and as Jimin of BTS, and I cannot overstate how excited I am for his next project. FACE as an album is the complete package. His songs are just good. Like, actually good. Good enough to play anywhere and any time. That’s the kind of music Jimin makes. Imagine hearing Face-off in a concert arena… imagine hearing the intro play before he comes on stage. Can you even imagine….
Lol I’m starting to hurt myself with these imagines.
Taehyung’s album too is very good (though these days it only gets plays from me in the evenings). And while Seven isn’t my favorite release, it’s still a well made song that Jungkook of course has done a phenomenal job with. Twice now he’s had to promote it outdoors in very bad weather and he’s kept his vocals stable and well projected. He’s working hard and I’m hoping it translates well into work done for his solo album debut later this year.
I have almost no complaints in the debut solo showcases from all the members, in their promotion styles, and in the overall presentation. These albums were all very decent and respectable first showings from the members of the biggest group in the world. The response from the general public and professional critics has been very favourable, and the fandom has supported each member to be as successful as one would expect for anyone from BTS.
I’m a very happy ARMY in Chapter 2 ^_^
6 for rebelcaptain!
One of my favorite tropes!!
6. our cover is that we're a couple and it only makes sense to sleep in the same bed
Rebelcaptain (Jyn x Cassian)
Rating: T
WC: 1350
Warnings: alcohol mention, fluff, Cassian is a softboi, if you see a typo no you don’t
Tumblr media
Jyn swirled what was left in her glass, holding the long stem daintily between two fingers. The pink liquid bubbled and fizzed, tasting more of meiloorun than the mix of clear alcohols that were making everyone around her stumble, hanging onto the scantily clad Twi’lek waitresses and wasting their credits.
Canto Bight was one of the banes of her existence. It was unfortunate that the Hutts and other gangs ran information through it like a high frequency channel, open to everyone, but only useful to those who knew how to use the right lingo. People like her and Cassian.
Speaking of Cassian, it had been almost an hour since their last check in. She sauntered away from the table she was perched at and into the thick of the festivities, green eyes scanning every corner and crowd in search of her partner. Round bellied men in gaudy jackets laughed raucously as they gambled away millions, not even putting a dent in their fortunes. She tried her best to not let her lip curl in disgust. Tonight, she was one of them. A socialite with money to burn. A red dress and a sultry smile.
She felt an arm slip around her waist, and every one of her muscles tensed. Cassian spoke to her in a low voice, pulling her in to a dance as they neared the jazz band playing a medium tempo song.
“Relax, it’s just me.”
“Did you find out who’s been funneling money into the imps?” she murmured close to his ear as her feet tried to keep up with the steps that he seemed to have practiced beforehand.
“Waitresses will tell you anything if you tip generously enough.”
“Can we be done then?” Jyn asked impatiently as he spun her dramatically and pulled her hips back close to his.
“We’ve got to be convincing, mi amor,” he muttered, ghosting his lips up her collarbone to her throat.
“Fine. Two more songs,” she said with a soft smile through her words had been dipped in venom, letting him know that if he pushed his luck, she’d dislocate his shoulder later, and K2 wasn’t here to pop it back into place.
They volleyed empty conversation topics at each other, letting feigned drunken laughter spill out and into the ears of passersby. Tonight, they were lovers, honeymooners, partygoers.
Cassian ordered one more glass of wine for each of them to sip on and leave abandoned on a ledge before they eagerly approached the elevators, his arm still around her waist. As soon as the doors shut, Jyn straightened up and pulled herself from him.
“The Black Sun,” Cassian mouthed, eyes gesturing towards the camera hanging in the corner of the gold and glass booth carrying them to their room for the night.
Jyn’s brow furrowed as she tried to make sense of it. The Black Sun had been extinct for nearly a decade to their knowledge. Hearing that not only they were back, but were doing well enough to fund the Empire is not the tip she was expecting to pick up tonight.
“What floor are we on?”
“Sixty-three,” Cassian answered.
Jyn huffed out a breath as the elevator glided up for what felt like hours. When it finally stopped, she laced her arm through Cassian’s once more, and he led them down the hall, key card in hand. She glanced over her shoulder to see another inebriated couple stumbling towards a door, sharing open mouthed kisses complete with roaming hands.
Everything about this place and these people made her stomach churn, turning a blind eye to the suffering of everyday, hardworking people, downing expensive cocktails and overpriced finger foods while others scrounged for their meals.
Jyn’s blood was already boiling as she followed Cassian into their suite. She pulled off her tall shoes and flung them into the corner, allowing her toes to sink into the plush carpet. Her arches ached from the height of the heels. With them on, she stood eye level with Cassian. Now she was back to being almost a full head shorter than him. She hoisted her leg up onto the bed and undid the thigh holster that had been securing the slender blaster she had packed while Cassian shed his jacket, pulling the two blasters out that he had tucked away in case things went south.
“Where’s the other room?” Jyn asked as she unclasped heavy earrings and tossed them on the dresser.
“What other room?” Cass asked over his shoulder as he unzipped the pack that the staff had brought up for him earlier, both hands rummaging through to pull out his regular clothes.
“There’s only one bed and no couch,” Jyn said flatly.
He paused and turned to her, “We’re here on our honeymoon. I couldn’t exactly ask for two beds.”
“I’ll sleep on the floor,” she announced, hucking her bag over her shoulder and stalking towards the fresher to change, mumbling under her breath about getting stuck with a mission like this.
“You’re not going to share a bed with me on our honeymoon night?” Cassian asked, hand clutched over his heart dramatically.
“If you want ten fingers tomorrow, stay on that side of the room.”
He chuckled as the door slid shut behind her, heart reeling from getting to hold her so close. They didn’t get one on one time often, and Jyn would kill him if she knew he volunteered them for this mission instead of getting it automatically assigned to them as he had told her. He heard her dress hit the ground with a muffled thud from the other side of the door, and hoped she would reconsider sleeping on the floor. After a few minutes, she came out with a face pink from scrubbing off the bright makeup that made her look like a caricature of herself. She looked tired and fresh faced, younger somehow, like the day they met.
“Why are you dressed like that?” he asked, taking in her combat pants, long shirt, and vest, “We can’t leave until the morning.”
“This way I’ll be ready to go,” she shrugged.
“Did you pack pajamas?”
“Do I look like I own pajamas?”
Cass chuckled again, fishing through his pack, he pulled out another pair of soft pants and tossed them at her, “Here, you’ll be comfier. And don’t argue with me about the bed. You’ve never slept on a mattress this soft, and I’m not letting you pass it up for stubbornness’ sake.”
With that, he disappeared behind the sliding door. Jyn looked at the pants in her hand with a million questions and feelings circling her like a drain. She didn’t have time to pick them out one by one, so she re-plugged it, keeping everything in place, pulled on the pants that were a bit too loose around her waist, and crawled under the covers, turning her back to the fresher door.
She heard the sound of water running as Cassian must’ve decided to indulge in a hot shower. She couldn’t make sense of how he was able to treat this as a mini vacation, but tried to remind herself to keep her judgement at bay. He was right. The mattress was comfortable. Her eyes were just starting to drift off as she heard the door open once more. The mattress sunk beneath his weight as he tried to climb into bed without disturbing her. Her stillness making him think she was already fast asleep, Cassian was quick to switch off the light and settle onto his side of the bed. She heard the soft thump of his blaster on the bedside table, and was able to relax even further knowing who had her back less than a meter away.
“Goodnight, Jyn,” he said softly, not even really meaning for her to hear it.
He smelled of soap more expensive than a month’s wages she had fought for in her youth, intoxicatingly sweet.
She waited a beat before breathing back, barely a whisper, “G’night, Cass.”
How Do I Get You Alone? | An AdamsFoster Fic
Fandom: The Fosters Pairing: Stef/Lena Rating: M Summary: When young Mariana starts coming into their bed every night, Stef and Lena struggle with the loss of their time alone together. Desperate times call for desperate measures and they have to get creative to find time alone. Notes: This is set after Chapter 3: United We Stand in the Party of Five one-shot collection, as well as the flashback with the twins in The Night Before Christmas. Neither are required reading but might be worth reading ahead of time, should you be inclined. I know this fandom is pretty quiet at this point, but I do appreciate any and all kudos and comments that still come my way. Thank you for reading. :) Also on AO3
In the week following the haunted house, when the twins had asked to sleep in their room for the first time, Stef and Lena’s bed had been crowded. Very crowded. Both kids were back the next night, then asked to just start in their room, bypassing their own beds altogether, and by the fourth night, Brandon had asked to come in, too, apparently feeling left out. After a night that felt more like a brawl than a family sleepover, Stef put her foot down and insisted everyone go to bed in their own rooms. The boys stayed put until morning, but in the middle of the night, Lena was startled awake by Mariana standing inches from her face, staring at her in the dark until she was invited into the bed. This continued every night, and by the time two weeks had passed, not only were Stef and Lena desperate for a good night’s sleep, they were starting to feel the loss of their only time alone.
In an effort to make it up, they resorted to stealing moments with each other, sneaking around like forbidden lovers in their own home. Slightly altered morning routines allowed for some half-naked dalliance before work. On nights when Stef was home before dinner, meal prep became a game of who could flirt the most outrageously without getting questioned by a kid. Dinner clean up got longer as they got distracted, empty rooms became shelters for heated kisses, and every embrace grew a little more desperate, and a lot more daring, than the last.
On movie night, Lena followed Stef into the kitchen. The popcorn popped in the microwave while Lena stepped up behind her, pushing her blonde hair over to one shoulder. She grazed a kiss against the back of her neck, exhaling slowly so the heat from her breath curled around it. Her hands gripped her hips, pulling her back until she was flush against her. She kissed a meandering path along its length, slow and torturous, sparking electricity up into Stef’s skull. She didn’t stop until the microwave beeped, and even then, she was reluctant to let go. Fortunately, as a family of five, they now needed two bags, so Stef got it going, fumbling a little in her haste, and they used the rest of the time to make out.
Later, while snuggled under a blanket on the couch, the kids sprawled across the floor watching Monsters Inc., Lena was stoically trying to ignore Stef’s hand creeping up the inside of her thigh. Her pulse raced beneath her tingling skin, growing faster with every inch. Just as Stef reached the center seam of her jeans, Lena took her hand, sliding their fingers together as she nestled them down into a more appropriate location. When she heard a little hrmph from Stef, she glanced at her, chuckling at the pout on her face. She then spent the rest of the movie torturing herself by imagining multiple scenarios in which she could have let her continue.
Similar instances were frequent in the following few weeks, each more frustrating than the last. Between their work schedules, the house, the kids with their homework and their activities, and the extra time Lena was spending helping fill in some of the gaps in the twins’ education, and without nights to themselves, they just did not have time together.
~
“I have a plan,” Lena announced, though the kids were too busy goofing around instead of eating their breakfast to pay her any attention.
“And what’s that?” Stef asked as she poured coffee into her travel mug.
“While you’re at work today, I’m going to take the kids to the beach.”
That got the kids’ attention, and all three of them began shooting off excited questions about when, how long, and what they would get to eat while there.
“I’ll answer all your questions later. Right now you need to finish your breakfast and then go find your suits and towels.”
“Okay!” They all turned back to their plates, their excitement barely contained.
“Goodbye my babies!” Stef called out before planting kisses on top of each of their heads.
“I’ll walk you out,” Lena said, and Stef noted the mischief in her eyes as they turned to leave the room.
“What else are you planning?” she asked when they reached the front door.
“To wear them out. It’s a beautiful Saturday, we can spend the whole day out in the sun, and by bedtime, they’ll be so tired they’ll pass out for the whole night. All of them.”
“Ooh!” Stef crooned, looking both impressed and conspiratorial. “I like when you get all determined and take control.” She took a step closer as her gaze dropped down to Lena’s lips.
Lena tilted her face up, brows raised. Her voice was thick with tension as the space between them closed. “Oh really?”
“Mhmm.” Stef leaned in, letting her lips linger over her lover’s until Lena finally captured them with her own. It was a slow kiss, tender but restrained, and yet both felt it burn through every nerve in their bodies.
They said their goodbyes, and Lena watched Stef leave, the promise of later lingering on her lips.
~
Their day at the beach had been fun. The kids had a blast, and they chattered about it all evening while Lena made dinner. Lena, however, had underestimated how exhausting it would be to take all three of them to the beach alone. Still, excitement thrummed through her whenever she thought about Stef coming home, and she was hopeful that if she was feeling as tired as she was, the kids would be feeling it, too. By the time they were settling down for dinner, she could see the heaviness on all their faces, the quieting of their voices, and she was sure her plan had worked.
When Stef came home, the energy in the house picked up a few degrees. The kids told her all about their day—burying each other in the sand, seagulls trying to steal their picnic, and Jesús digging a hole so deep that even Mama could sit in it without her head sticking out!
Stef got up to put her plate in the sink. “My goodness!” she exclaimed. “It sounds like you should all be thoroughly worn out then!” Grinning, she winked at Lena, who bit back a smile.
“They’re not the only ones,” she muttered.
“Oh, no!” Stef crooned, the concern in her voice entirely for show as she came up behind Lena and wrapped her arms around her neck from behind. “Don’t worry, love.” She pressed her lips against her ear, her voice dangerously low, “I’ll make sure you get plenty of time in bed.”
Lena suppressed a shiver, suddenly feeling much more alert. Swallowing hard, she leaned back into Stef’s chest, at the same time as she slid her hand over the back of Stef’s to intertwine their fingers, their hands resting atop her shoulder. They stayed like that for a moment, letting the quiet undercurrent of desire they had been feeling all day pass between one another, each noticing their own heartbeat fall into sync.
The kids starting to bicker pulled them out of the moment and back to the reality that stood between them and their much needed time alone. The next few hours passed as if time was moving at half speed. They trudged their way through dinner clean up and bath time, trying and failing miserably at not checking the clock every five minutes. By the time bedtime rolled around, they were both so desperate to be done that it felt like a race to get the kids all settled in their beds. Lena took on the boys while Stef laid with Mariana, making sure to give her extra snuggles, trying to ensure she was so comfortable and drowsy that nowhere else could be more desirable than her own bed.
Finally, when the little girl’s breathing became steady and her head grew heavy on Stef’s chest, Stef carefully extricated herself and tiptoed out the door. She glanced around the hallway, noticing their bedroom door ajar, light shining into the hall. Padding her way to their room, a flutter of excitement started in the pit of her stomach at the possibility of what she might find. She poked her head around the door. Lena was nowhere to be found.
“Lena?” she called quietly, entering the room and closing the door behind her.
“In here.”
She followed Lena’s voice to the bathroom, only to find her doing laundry. Though it wasn’t quite the sight she had been hoping for, she certainly wasn’t bothered by the way Lena’s shirt rode up over her waistband, revealing her back as she reached down into the washing machine, or how her yoga pants fit perfectly along the curve of her backside when she leaned to toss the wet clothes into the dryer. She watched for another minute, heat slowly rising to her face, before she came to and shook her head, laughing at herself. If she was lusting over her partner doing laundry, she really needed to get laid.
“I see laundry is higher on your to-do list than I am,” she said, feigning offense as she approached her from behind.
Lena rolled her eyes at Stef over her shoulder, an easy smile on her face. “Not by choice,” she said as she grabbed the last handful, tossing it into the dryer and closing the door, then squealed when she felt Stef also grab a handful. When she turned in the small space between her partner and the dryer, Stef did not let go of her ass, instead allowing the motion to wrap her arm around her as she stepped closer, easing Lena up against the cold metal of the appliance.
Stef’s body was flush against her, the slight pressure making it just a little harder to breathe. Or, perhaps, it was the darkening of her eyes as they dropped down to Lena’s lips.
“You have been hard to pin down these days,” Lena said, her voice down in her chest, restraining her lips from reaching, trying to play it cool despite the desperation creeping through her body.
“Not by choice.” Stef smirked, lowering her head slowly until her breath washed over Lena’s lips with every exhale.
Lena wound her arms around Stef’s neck, one hand sliding up the back and into her hair. Their mouths were achingly close, their lips parted, poised. Stef brought her hand up to Lena’s jaw, caressing her thumb over her cheek. Leaning into the touch, Lena closed her eyes in anticipation, waiting for Stef to land her kiss. Instead, she felt her breath rush over her chin as she spoke.
“Should we wait?”
Lena blinked her eyes open, confused as she pulled back. “Why?”
“To make sure she stays asleep, so we don’t get interrupted.”
Lena tucked her chin, taking a deep breath to think more clearly. Wait? They had done nothing but wait for weeks, and as patient as she usually was, she had no more waiting left in her.
“What if we wait and she ends up coming in anyway, and we lose our chance?”
Stef thought about it for a moment, her eyes drawn back down to Lena’s mouth where she was worrying her lower lip between her teeth. “You make a compelling argument, my love.”
Using her thumb, she gently tugged Lena’s lip out from between her teeth, gliding across the plush surface before capturing it with her own.
Fire flashed between them immediately, weeks of pent up desire blazing, ready to burn everything down. Lena slipped her tongue between Stef’s eager lips, her stomach twisting pleasantly when their tongues slid against one another. Stef pressed her harder against the dryer, her hand moving down to grip her thigh, pulling her leg up while she pushed her hips into her, causing a delicious friction between them. When her other hand pushed beneath the hem of Lena’s shirt, the cool touch of her fingers on her ribs made her gasp against Stef’s mouth. Her hand continued up, pushing under her bra so her breast was cradled in her hand. She squeezed it gently, teasing her thumb over her nipple, over and over, until the familiar sound of her lover’s breathless want spilled into their kiss.
“Please, Stef. I can’t…” she panted. “I can’t wait anymore.”
Pulling back to look at her, Stef felt a tightening deep inside at the unabashed lust on Lena’s face. Removing her hand from beneath her shirt, she grasped her slender waist and lifted her up onto the dryer.
“Something wrong with the bed?”
“Yeah,” Stef looked at her with a devilish grin. “The bed doesn’t do this,” she said, reaching behind her and turning on the dryer.
The vibrations, spreading from the backs of her things up into her entire body, made Lena’s breath catch in her throat, her mouth falling slightly open. Stef wasted no more time. She tucked her fingers into Lena’s waistband, tugging them off along with her underwear. She kissed her one last time before bringing Lena’s legs over her shoulders, urging her to lean back enough that Stef could anchor herself on her forearms. With her arms wrapped securely around her legs, she was just beginning to graze kisses along her inner thigh when she heard the familiar click of the bedroom door.
She froze for a second, then, when she heard, “Mommy? Mama?” she felt panic rise up the back of her throat.
“Shit!” she whispered, dislodging herself to shut the bathroom door. “Be right out,” she called through the door.
Lena was already off the dryer, pulling her underwear back on while Stef leaned against the door, breathing heavily, her face burning red. Once Lena was fully dressed, Stef pulled her in against her, dropping a kiss into her hair.
“I’m sorry, love,” she whispered, feeling more than hearing the whining groan coming from her very frustrated partner.
“Do you mind if I take a shower? I need to cool down,” Lena asked in a tense monotone.
“Of course. I’ll go lay with Mariana.” She smoothed a hand along Lena’s spine, feeling guilty despite knowing she did nothing wrong. Though, she did forget to lock the door.
“Thank you,” Lena said flatly, and waited for Stef to leave before beginning to undress again.
~
A week later, Stef had pressed Lena back against the fridge where they were sure to be out of view, her lips already busy with the tender flesh beneath the edge of her lover’s jawline. The denim of Stef’s jeans was rough and inviting against the inside of Lena’s thighs as her knee pushed between them, inching her skirt higher. Lena gripped the back of Stef’s shirt, knuckles digging into her ribs while she pulled her closer, closer, closer until there wasn’t space for even a whisper between their bodies. She couldn’t tell whose heart she could feel thumping against her chest, but decided, when the gentle scrape of teeth along her neck made it beat faster, it must have been her own.
It took an enormous effort for Stef to keep herself under control; they had to stop doing this. It was stupid to think it was going to do anything but make her more desperate, and still, every time she naively hoped it would offer a little relief. Now it was to the point where she couldn’t think of anything else; all day, every day, that undercurrent of desire consumed her.
When she felt Lena’s fingers curl into the hair at the nape of her neck, she shuddered, a tiny moan escaping despite her efforts to contain it.
“Do you think we can sneak upstairs without them noticing?” she asked, her breathy whisper snaking around Lena’s neck, making her shiver.
“What if they need help?”
“It’ll be fine. We’ll be fast.”
When Stef’s tongue dipped into the hollow at the base of her neck, Lena had to grip the edge of the fridge behind her for support. “I don’t think I can take getting interrupted again. It’s somehow even worse than just waiting it out.”
“They won’t. We haven’t heard a peep out of them this whole time. We can use the vibrator, and be done before they even realize we’re gone. It’ll at least hold us over until we can find some real time alone.” Stef kissed her way back up her neck to her lips, kissing her deeply until she felt Lena’s body relax all the way into hers. Pulling back enough to look at her, and seeing desire so unmasked on her lover’s face, she cocked a knowing eyebrow. “Wanna?”
“Yeah,” Lena agreed, her eager grin growing wider by the second.
As if on cue, Brandon’s voice bellowed in from the dining room. “Moms! Jesús needs help with his math homework!”
Stef let out a despondent whimper, and dropped her head onto Lena’s shoulder.
“I’ll be right there,” Lena called back, wrapping her arms around her partner’s shoulders while trying to ignore her own mounting frustration. She nuzzled her nose into Stef’s hair, eyes closed, just taking in the feeling of her for a moment before offering her a sympathetic squeeze. “I’ll be right back,” she murmured against her ear, then reluctantly extricated herself from Stef’s embrace.
By the time she returned, Stef was almost finished washing the dishes from dinner, so she grabbed a dish towel and started drying.
“This is ridiculous,” Stef said, her aggravation evident in the tone of her voice.
“I know, but it’s just a phase. We’ll get through it,” Lena offered.
Stef looked over at her, studying her as she dried and stacked another plate on the counter. “How are you not going absolutely crazy? I feel like you’re usually worse than me about this, and I am going crazy.”
“I am,” Lena said, her calm and collected demeanor a stark contrast to the tense energy radiating off of her partner. “But I, um…” she pressed her lips together for a moment, “I might’ve… taken matters into my own hands the other day, which helped a little bit.” Her eyebrows lifted, and she tried to hold back a grin as she glanced at Stef, whose face was a mixture of shock and jealousy.
“You did?”
“You haven’t?” Lena countered, just as surprised.
“No! We can’t get any time alone for us, much less for, y’know, going solo.” As she handed Lena a bowl, she took the opportunity to watch her for a moment, appreciating that even the way she dried dishes was beautiful. But then she started picturing her naked, and she felt that familiar pulse begin, and she had to shake the image from her head and look away before she got worked up again. She picked up another dish and swiped the sponge across it. “When did you…?”
“Last weekend, when you took the kids to the movies.”
“Lena Elizabeth Adams!” Stef admonished, gaping at her, though a smile was unhidden in her eyes. “You told me you had a headache and needed to lie down!” It was an accusation, but made with nothing but affection. It was a fair play, she just wished she’d made it.
“I did,” Lena insisted. “I just figured, since I had the opportunity… Plus, it helped get rid of my headache.”
“I am so glad to hear that,” Stef snarked. After handing Lena the last dish, she shut off the water and turned towards her partner, leaning her hip against the edge of the sink while she dried her hands. She swept a gaze down the length of Lena’s body, biting her lip. “You know, that image really isn’t doing me any favors right now.”
Lena glanced at her, noting the flush in her cheeks.
“I know, sorry. That’s why I didn't tell you before.”
“I think maybe it should be your turn to take the kids to the movies this weekend.”
“That can be arranged.” It was Lena’s turn to get caught up in her imagination for a moment, only to instantly regret it. With some very X-rated images clogging up her brain, she wanted to pull Stef to the ground right there, but instead she took a step back, hoping the physical distance would help her impulse control.
That was it, she decided. They had to figure something out. Soon.
“But what we really need is someone else to take the kids to the movies, because all it did was take the edge off. What I really want is you, the connection, the intimacy. That’s what we really need.”
Stef snorted and tossed her towel at Lena. “Yeah, says the woman who already had an orgasm.”
“What’s a orgasm?” The perky little voice came from the other side of the kitchen, and both women turned to see Jesús standing in the doorway, with his head tilted in question, and his familiar lopsided grin beaming at them as they both froze. “Can I have one?”
~
“Well, that was fun.”
“What happened?” Lena asked from their bathroom.
“I just gave Brandon his first sex talk!”
Wide-eyed, Lena poked her head out into the bedroom, her fingers still wound in her half-braided hair. “Wait, what? Why?”
“Apparently after our talk with Jesús this evening, he went to Brandon for clarification. Which left him with even more questions than Jesús’d had.” Plopping down on the edge of the bed, Stef scrubbed her hands over her face. Abandoning the braid, Lena came to sit down beside her.
“Did you talk to Jesús again, and answer his questions, too?”
“No, love, I didn’t,” she admitted with a bone-weary sigh as she looked up at her. “Two impromptu, age appropriate sex talks were all I could handle today.”
Lena rubbed her hand across Stef’s back, resting her chin on her shoulder. “I’ll talk to him tomorrow.”
Stef sighed again. “Thank you.”
She planted a kiss on Lena’s cheek, then patted her hand, and went to put on her pajamas. Lena returned to the bathroom, and they finished their nightly routine in a tired yet comfortable silence. Once in bed, Stef switched off her lamp and tucked herself down into the blankets.
“I’m gonna try to get some sleep before Miss Thing comes in. That girl windmills worse than you.”
“I do not windmill,” Lena insisted, turning off her own lamp and settling down on her side.
“Whatever you say, my love,” Stef laughed, unconvinced. She draped her arm over her hip, scooting closer so they were face-to-face. “I will say, though, this is the first time in weeks I haven’t even wanted to think about sex, so maybe this whole thing was a blessing in disguise.”
~
Perched at the table, Lena was just hanging up the phone when Stef walked into the kitchen after work, still in her uniform.
“Hey, babe,” she announced herself, making Lena look at her over her shoulder. “Sorry I missed dinner.” Even though it was unavoidable, and happened more than either of them would have liked, Stef always apologized when work kept her late. She never wanted Lena to feel like she took everything she did for granted, especially now that she was caring for three children by herself in the afternoons.
Lena smiled away her apology. “Hey.”
“Who was that?” she asked, coming up behind her and leaning down to kiss her temple before heading to the fridge.
“Kelly.” Lena set the phone down on the table and watched Stef pour herself a glass of water.
“Oh yeah? What’d she want?”
“I called her, actually.”
“Really?” Stef sat down on the seat beside her, glass in hand.
“Mhmm. We haven’t seen them in a while, I thought it might be nice to get the kids together for a play date.”
“That’s a great idea! When are we going?”
“Saturday.” Lena turned so their knees knocked together.
“Great,” Stef said absentmindedly, her focus fully fixed on the length of skin along the inside of Lena’s thigh that beckoned her up into the darkness beneath her skirt.
They had gotten two days of relief after their mishap before the awkwardness faded, and their sexual frustration returned, full force. Unfortunately, nothing else had changed; Mariana was still in their bed every night, and they were right back to surviving solely on stolen moments. Except now, they were working a lot harder to avoid another indiscretion, which meant even less time alone.
“Where are the kids?” Stef asked, when Lena slid off her stool and came to stand in front of her.
“Playing in Brandon’s room.” Lena took another step forward, urging her way between her partner’s knees.
“You’re sure?” She plucked at Lena’s sweater, pointedly keeping her hands in neutral territory, though her eyes and mind were already wandering.
“Mhmm.”
There was a smile on Lena’s face and a flutter in her belly from the way Stef looked at her. She slid her fingers beneath Stef’s chin to tip up her head, running her thumb over her bottom lip before leaning in to kiss her. It was purposefully chaste, which only made Stef want her that much more. Stef edged her tongue between Lena’s lips at the same time as she brought her hands up to her waist. Lena’s heart beat harder in her chest at the feeling of her partners’ fingertips digging into her skin through her sweater, clearly losing a battle against her self control. She welcomed the deepening of their embrace, allowing Stef to part her lips and relishing in the sensation as her tongue swept against her own. Her hand moved from Stef’s chin, dragging down her neck to her chest. Stef urged her toward the counter and Lena reached for the edge, knocking over the glass with a clatter. Water spilled over the countertop and down into Stef’s lap, barely missing Lena as they sprang apart.
“Shit!” Stef swiped at the water seeping into her uniform slacks. “I guess that’s one way to cool things down.”
“Sorry!” Gingerly avoiding the water on the floor, Lena grabbed the hand towel hanging on the oven door. She tossed it to Stef, then pulled another from the drawer. “Go change. I’ll wipe this up and then reheat your dinner.”
“Thanks, babe,” Stef said, patting her lap dry before heading for the stairs. As she went, Lena paused her clean up to enjoy the sway of her hips and that swagger she had always found so irresistible, realizing it was going to take a lot more than a glass of water to cool her down.
~
They usually split the kids’ bedtime routine as evenly as possible, but since she’d missed dinner, Stef offered to tackle it alone. Brandon didn’t take much assistance anymore, except a check for clean teeth, a kiss goodnight, and a reminder for lights out after his reading hour was up. Jesús and Mariana still needed more help, so while she got Jesús settled, Stef let Mariana hang with B. She liked listening to him read from his chapter books, and he never minded her quiet company. Plus, Stef offered him an extra twenty minutes as added incentive.
Once Mariana was tucked under her yellow Beauty and the Beast themed comforter, and after a bedtime story followed by a song—a recent addition to the routine at the little girl’s request—Stef sat on the edge of her bed, smiling down at her drowsy face.
“Do you want to try sleeping all night in your bed tonight?” She was careful to keep the question neutral, not wanting Mariana to feel rejected or unwanted.
Mariana looked up at her, her big brown eyes round and unsure. “Do I have to?”
“Of course not, sweets.” Stef tenderly brushed away the wisps of hair from her forehead that had escaped her ponytail. “But wouldn’t it be nice to have your whole big bed all to yourself? It gets pretty tight with you squished in there between Mama and me.”
“I like it,” Mariana shrugged. “Feels safe.”
The warmest smile spread across Stef’s face, making the corners of her eyes crinkle, while her heart squeezed in her chest as if Mariana had wrapped her arms right around it.
“And that is the most important thing. You know you are welcome in our bed anytime, yes?” Mariana nodded her head, looking far too serious, so Stef booped her nose to make her giggle. “Goodnight, Miss Thing.” She pressed a few quick kisses to her cheek, “I love you.”
“Love you, too.”
Leaving Mariana’s door cracked, Stef went back downstairs to get a couple chores done. It was more than an hour before she was wrapping up her nightly check for locked windows and doors, turning off lights, and heading back upstairs. Lena was already in her pajamas, sitting in bed with her laptop. The papers strewn around her and the pen clamped in her teeth were a sure sign that she was working. Stef quietly got ready for the night, not speaking until she went to get in bed, only to find her partner’s paperwork had crossed well onto her side.
“You know, I said I’d do the kids tonight so you could have a break.”
Lena looked over at her, then down at the bed, and began scooping up the papers. “Sorry.” She stacked them into a neat pile and put them back into their file folder. “I appreciate it, but I’ve gotta get this stuff done.”
Stef grinned as she got into bed. Sitting beside her, she tucked her hand under her pajama shirt and began a gentle massage on her lower back. “So this wouldn’t be the best time for a distraction, then?”
A whining groan rumbled in Lena’s throat at both the suggestion and the way Stef’s fingers deftly worked at a knot she hadn’t known was even there.
“I’m sorry, babe,” she said after letting her partner work that tight spot all the way out, “but I really do have to finish this. Carina wanted it done yesterday, and I can’t tell her I need more time, again.”
Stef tried not to let her disappointment make it to her face, even though she understood. Lena was leaning back into her hand, eyes closed and head tipped forward, so Stef continued her massage. “It’s probably for the best anyway. I asked Mariana if she wanted to sleep the whole night in her bed tonight, but she didn’t seem too keen on the idea. So, who knows when she’ll be showing up.” After another minute, Lena straightened back up, so Stef kissed her shoulder before turning to lay on her back. Looking up at the ceiling, she audibly exhaled. “We can’t keep this up forever.”
Lena let out a commiserating sigh. “It won’t be forever. I’m glad she feels safe enough to seek out and ask for the comfort.”
“I know, me too but… I miss you.”
“I miss you, too.” Lena reached over and took Stef’s hand, running her thumb along the back in a familiar, comforting motion. “Soon enough, she’ll be ready to go back in her bed. Brandon went through this, too, remember?”
“Yeah,” Stef squeezed her hand, “but he at least had weekends at his dad’s. This just isn’t sustainable.”
“I know. We’ll figure it out, promise.”
“Don’t make promises you can’t keep,” Stef said, looking at her with a challenging smirk.
Lena raised her eyebrows high as she brought Stef’s hand to her lips, brushing a kiss along the tops of her fingers. “You know I never do.”
~
The following Saturday, Lena and Stef had the kids buckled into the car, on their way to Kelly and Jenna’s. The kids were hyped. They loved getting to hang out with their son Garrett, and it had been a while since they had gotten the chance.
When they pulled up in the driveway, everyone clamored out of the car, all talking at once.
“Go ahead,” Lena told Stef. “I’ll be right there.” She headed around to the back of the car while Stef led the troops to the front door.
The four of them were already inside when Lena let herself in the open door, and the kids were fully enraptured in setting up a board game in the middle of the floor. Lena came up next to Stef, who was already catching up with their friends.
They exchanged greetings and hugs before Kelly asked if they wanted to have something to drink.
“Oh, no,” Jenna swooped in before Lena could say anything. “You two love birds get on out of here. Don’t waste any time on us.” She wagged her eyebrows, grinning at them.
Stef looked between her and Lena, trying to put the puzzle together without all the pieces. Lena wore a bashful grin as she slid a small suitcase over towards Kelly. Stef’s mouth slowly fell open as the pieces fell together.
“Thank you, so much,” Lena said. Stef stared at her.
“It’s no problem, honey.” Jenna grinned at them both, nodding her head in understanding. “We’ve got this covered. You guys go. Enjoy yourselves.” She winked, cackling quietly.
“We’ll call if there’s an emergency, but otherwise you won’t hear from us,” Kelly assured them.
“Thank you.” When Stef still seemed stunned, Lena took her hand, pulling her over to the kids to say goodbye, grateful they had all been able to keep their secret since she had told them about the sleepover yesterday. Waving goodbye to everyone, they walked out the door and back to the car, still hand-in-hand.
Once they were in the car and on the road, Lena was surprised when Stef didn’t take her hand back, despite it resting on the seat between them, an invitation that would usually be accepted. Instead, Stef’s hands were curled around the steering wheel, knuckles white, as she stared very adamantly at the road.
“How long have you been planning this?” Stef asked, still not looking at her partner.
“I set it up when I called Kelly earlier this week.”
Aside from the tiniest head nod, Stef didn’t answer.
Feeling a flutter of trepidation, Lena turned to look directly at her. “You’re not mad, are you?” she asked cautiously. She knew Stef sometimes had some complicated feelings about sex, and could embarrass easily, but these were their best friends. This was hardly the first time their sex lives had been a topic of conversation, and she really hadn’t thought Stef would care.
Stef chewed on her lip for a moment, before turning to meet Lena’s gaze. “No, love. I am definitely not mad.”
The look on her face made Lena tense against a full-body shudder that culminated in the start of a heavy pulse between her thighs. No. Stef was certainly not angry, and Lena understood that even holding hands would have been too much distraction while driving.
A smile slowly spread across her face, as both of them turned back to watch the road. The rest of the drive was spent in silence, both women feeling the urgent ache of anticipation after holding so much pent up desire for so long.
By the time they pulled into the driveway, Lena felt like she was ready to crawl out of her skin. They walked to the house, still maintaining their distance, until Stef managed to open the door, allowing Lena to walk in first.
As soon as the door closed behind her, Stef grabbed Lena’s arm, turning her towards her and pulling her in to kiss her. There was no teasing, just lips and tongues and mingling breath as Stef guided her back against the door. Lena’s purse slid from her shoulder, hitting the floor with a thud. Her hands came to Stef’s hips, pulling her closer, wanting more. So much more.
Stef trailed her lips over her cheek to her ear.
“God, I’ve missed you,” she panted, the rush of her words against her ear making Lena’s breath catch in her throat. A hand came up to cradle the back of her head, tilting her ear closer to Stef’s mouth as she ran her tongue along its edge. Lena’s eyes squeezed shut as need scorched through her body, her gasping breaths echoing up the stairwell as Stef began to suck on her earlobe.
Lena’s head swirled, lust and love creating an insatiable need for her lover’s touch.
“Stef,” she pleaded.
“Yes, love?” Stef asked, knowing full well what she needed by the way she pushed her hips harder against her.
“I need you. Please.”
Stef smiled, chuckling against her neck. “Need me to what?” she asked innocently.
Lena was too far gone for games. She took Stef’s face in her hand, bringing it up so she was looking her directly in the eye, giving her exactly what she was looking for. “Fuck me. Right now.”
Stef’s eyes dilated so far the green nearly disappeared, feeling both shocked and impressed, but also satisfied. There was nothing hotter than that word in her well-spoken partner’s beautiful mouth.
She was smiling when she captured Lena’s lips again, her right hand slipping down between their bodies to find the hem of her skirt. She pushed it up, her hand gliding along her soft inner thigh until the skirt was bunched up by her waist and out of the way. She pushed her hand into her underwear and down into the dripping heat beneath. Understanding her orders, she did not dally; she pushed her fingers all the way into her, dragging a moan from deep in Lena’s chest as her muscles tightened around her.
With the heel of her hand resting against her clit, she started slow, pulling nearly all the way out, curling her fingertips forward just enough to drag along her inner wall, then pressing them back in until her palm was flush against her. She continued this pace, feeling Lena’s hips and core work in tandem with her, pulling away from their kiss to watch the pleasure course over her love’s face with every stroke.
It took almost no time before Lena’s legs were shaking, and she had to lean into Stef for support. Lena wrapped one arm around her waist, the other coming up to her shoulder, her fingers weaving into the blonde hair at the nape of her neck. Her head fell down onto Stef’s shoulder, her breathing coming in hitching bursts as her body tensed harder and harder before she exploded over the edge into blissful darkness.
Stef kissed her shoulder, giving her a moment to recover before slipping her hand back out, putting her arms around her back to pull her into her, away from the door. She lightly rubbed her nose against the crook of her neck, following along with a dusting of kisses until Lena finally picked up her head.
Using her hand that was still tangled in her hair, she guided Stef into another kiss. It started out softer than anything else had been up to that point, with Lena still existing in a semi-solid state, but it didn’t take long for Stef to urge it deeper. Her body was made of electricity and fire, raging for more heat, more touch, as it consumed her from the inside out.
Lena could feel Stef’s desire burning in the force of her touch and the eagerness of her kiss. Happy to oblige her, she tugged her shirt out of her jeans, her hands seeking skin. They pushed their way up her sides, her fingertips gripping the skin over her ribs, feeling her breathe into her hands. She tugged the hem of her shirt up until Stef lifted her arms, allowing her to pull it off. It landed in a heap by Lena’s purse, followed immediately by her bra.
Her hands traced around Stef’s ribs and up to cup her breasts. Her palms rubbed in urgent circles, her nipples rolling beneath them. Lena left Stef’s lips to find her pulse point, sucking it until she drew out a hiss, then soothed her tongue over the spot already pooling with color.
“Couch or bed?” she asked against her neck. It wasn’t an option they had very often these days.
“Mmm…” was all Stef could manage, both in response to the wet trail of Lena’s lips and tongue over her collarbone, and the question that was proving too difficult given the current wave of sensations clouding her mind. “Um, c- uh, couch, y-yeah, couch,” she finally stuttered, mostly because it was close and she wasn’t sure her legs were going to carry her up the stairs with how shaky they were starting to feel.
Lena’s lips left her skin and she took a couple deep breaths, which didn’t help steady her swirling head. Smiling with her lower lip between her teeth, Lena took Stef’s hand, tugging her along to the living room.
Standing in front of the couch, Lena hooked her hand inside the waistband of Stef’s jeans, pulling her closer. Her eyes captured Stef’s, holding them so she couldn’t look away as she slowly slid her belt out if it’s buckle. Stef’s heart beat harder in her throat, and she swallowed as Lena’s nimble fingers opened the button and tugged down the zipper of her pants. When her fingertips brushed over the skin just beneath, she had to press her lips together and remind herself to breathe to control her composure. Lena took a step forward at the same time as she slid her hands around beneath her waistband to her hips. Their lips were achingly close as Lena pushed the jeans down over Stef’s hips. She shimmied out of them, kicking them aside, eyes still locked with Lena’s.
Leaning in, her lips hovered over Stef’s, just out of reach. Her hands swept up her body to her shoulders, and just as Stef could feel her lips brush hers, Lena whispered, “Sit down.”
With a tightening in her stomach, she sat and watched as Lena tugged her shirt off and unzipped her skirt, letting it fall in a pool at her feet. Stef swallowed hard. Lena wore a matching set of black lace lingerie that was intimately sheer, and which Stef was sure she had never seen before.
Her mouth hung open slightly as she swept a long gaze over Lena’s body, but then the sound of a car passing by caught her ear, pulling her out of the haze of desire she had been in since they got home.
“Lena! The window!” she gasped, grabbing her partner’s hand and pulling her down. Lena tumbled on top of her, splayed out face down across her lap. She rolled over, and upon making eye contact, both women fell into a fit of laughter, setting each other off again and again whenever they looked at each other.
They were both gasping by the time they managed to regain their composure, and tears pooled in the corners of Stef’s eyes. She wiped at them, heaving a long sigh that was tinged with laughter.
“I’m sorry,” she said, smiling down at Lena as she shook her head. “That might have been a bit of an overreaction.”
“You think?” Lena raised her eyebrows, her eyes full of amusement.
“I just didn’t want anyone to see.”
Lena cocked an eyebrow, her lips pulling down at the corners as she shrugged, teasing. “What if I wanted them to see?”
Stef’s mouth dropped open, genuinely scandalized, her cheeks suddenly burning. “Lena Adams!”
“What?” she shrugged again, her eyes gleaming. “I look hot in this.”
Stef took a moment to really take her in, lingering on all of her favorite spots.
“Yeah, you do,” she crooned. Starting at the base of her neck, she trailed her fingers down through the valley between her breasts, over her abs and belly button to the silky skin just above the lace of her underwear. Lena tensed under the sensation, her skin tingling as Stef’s fingers came up to the sheer fabric of her bra. “Did you buy this for me?” she asked, her voice deep in her chest.
“Mhmm,” Lena agreed, her voice thin in response to Stef’s touch. “And the neighbors,” she said, smirking.
Stef narrowed her eyes, her lips pursing against a playful smile as Lena repositioned herself so she was sitting and straddling her lap.
“I’m not very good at sharing, you know,” Stef said, her hands settling on Lena’s hips and her eyes darkening.
“That’s good.” Lena brushed her fingertips along Stef’s jawline. “Because I’m all yours.”
A wicked grin pulled across Stef’s lips, her fingertips digging further into Lena’s hips.
“All mine,” she murmured as she lowered her head to Lena’s chest, momentarily distracted from her own needs by the vision perched on her lap.
She pressed open-mouthed kisses along Lena’s sternum, trailing over to the thin mesh covering her breast. Running her tongue over it, the wetness immediately seeped into the fabric, warm on Lena’s skin. She closed her eyes, biting her lips as Stef took her into her mouth. Her tongue ran back and forth, the slight scratch of the fabric on her nipple sending sharp waves of pleasure through her body.
Lena was starting to feel herself building back up; one orgasm was not enough to satiate her after so long. But that hardly seemed fair to Stef, who still hadn’t had any and had waited just as long. Especially since they had all night for more. As hard as it was, she could manage another short wait.
With a touch of reluctance, she urged Stef up with her fingers under her chin.
“We can finish that later,” she murmured before kissing her mouth, her chin, her neck. When she couldn’t comfortably reach any lower, she moved down to the floor, parting her lover’s legs so she could kneel between them.
Stef wet her lips, the sight of Lena kneeling for her sending a streak of heat through her body. Lena’s hands dragged down Stef’s shoulders to her breasts again, making them harden with gentle strokes of her thumbs. Her lips found her pulse point, grazing her teeth over it, eliciting a stuttered breath. She began kissing her way down her chest, admiring all her familiar freckles and sun spots with lips and tongue, but from the mindless way Stef’s hands roamed her back, and the little whining sounds she made, Lena knew she was becoming needy in an unrelenting way, despite her best effort to remain patient.
She let her hands move down over her stomach to her hips, her mouth following closely behind. Her tongue flitted over the outlines of her abs, down to her underwear. She placed open-mouthed kisses just above the edge of the fabric, watching her muscles twitch in response.
Stef wriggled under Lena’s touch; everything was too much and yet she was desperate for more. When Lena began to slide her underwear down, she lifted her hips, then her feet so she could tug them all the way off. Lena’s palms pushed up her thighs like fire across a burning forest, urging them further apart. Stef’s heartbeat rushed in her ears as Lena’s lips moved lower, over her mound of curls, down into the wet heat of her desire.
She was lost in the feeling immediately as Lena’s mouth worked her effortlessly, instinctively. It wouldn’t have taken much anyway, but she knew every trick to drive Stef to the edge, and she used each one. With every stroke of her tongue, Stef gasped through parted lips, and as the tension arched her back, she pulled Lena closer with her hand on the back of her head. When Lena hummed a laugh against her, the vibration made Stef’s head push back into the couch as she finally, mercifully tipped over the edge with Lena’s name on her lips.
Stef’s chest heaved with every breath while Lena spread kisses along the inside of her thigh, waiting for the tension to fully melt from her body. It wasn’t long before the hand in Lena’s hair urged her upward, so she crawled back up onto the couch, and settled onto her partner’s lap again. With a dreamy smile, Stef brought her hand over to Lena’s cheek, her hazel eyes shining as she drew her into a soft, lazy kiss.
Their foreheads came to rest together, their breathing slowly falling into rhythm in the small space between them. A calm settled over them as the pent up frustration and desperation finally faded away. There was still desire humming underneath, but it was more like a warm breeze than a raging storm. Stef stroked her thumb across Lena’s cheek and she leaned into the delicate, familiar touch.
“I’ve really missed this,” Lena said, a particular reverence in her voice. Sure, she had missed the sex. But more so, the intimacy and vulnerability of being as close as possible to the person she loved most.
“Me, too, love.” Stef took her face in both her hands and kissed her temple, her nose, her cheek.
“We need to make sure we’re making time for us.”
“Mhmm,” Stef hummed, her hands beginning a slow ascent from Lena’s hips to her ribs.
“Maybe we can set a standing date night with K-Kelly and Jenna,” Lena said, her voice breaking as Stef’s lips began to tease the spot behind her jaw.
“Let’s worry about that later, hmm?” Stef grinned wickedly as her mouth continued down over Lena’s chest, back to that enticing black fabric. “Right now, I have something to finish.”
Her lips wrapped around their destination, and every other thought vanished from Lena’s mind. They would have plenty of time to plan and organize and ensure they didn’t fall so far behind in the future. As it was, they only had the rest of the night for this, and they had plenty of catching up to do.
He Didn't Have to Be Chapter 7
AO3
I am ready. After all, I already had one wedding under my belt. When Uncle William asked me to be his best man, I was so proud.
“Anya will make an excellent flower girl and Jamison ( my newest brother, six months old), he will be the ring bearer.”
I recall laughing. “If he doesn’t eat them Uncle William.”
He laughs along with me. “Dinna fash. You will have charge of the real rings. The ones your brother will carry will just be for show.”
My chest pops out even further. At eleven years old, I know how much trust he is placing in me.
“Thank you, Uncle William.”
William meet Rachel two years before this. Daddy said, “She is the one. He looks at her like I look at your mum.”
He was right.
I made funny faces at Jamison as we wait to do our part in Uncle William ‘s wedding. My baby brother is dressed similar to me, in a tiny kilt. Anya is wearing a fancy dress. She twirls around and I roll my eyes.
“Lasses are silly, Jamison.” I confess to him.
I was so excited when mum and daddy told me the newest baby would be a lad. I love Anya but I don’t much in common with her. A brother though…
“When you get older, we will do so many fun things. Play football, ride ponies…”
“I can ride ponies.” Anya interrupts her primping to inform me. I know she can. At granpa’s and grandma’s, she helps with the horses too.
“Aye, but…” I don’t know how to explain it and fortunately I don’t have too. Just then, daddy comes in.
“Are we ready children?”
“Aye daddy.” Anya echoes it and he lifts Jamison up from his seat.
Maggie, my cousin and the maid of honor, is pulling Jamison in a wagon, down the aisle. In his lap is a pillow with the fake rings.
Anya and I are following them. She will scatter flower petals ahead of Rachel.
Then my siblings will join our parents as Maggie and I stand up beside Uncle William and Rachel.
Daddy places Jamison in the wagon. “Behave little man.” He tells him. My brother coos and we all count it as an ‘aye’. He likes wagon rides so there is hope he won’t  cry and disturb the wedding.
Maggie takes the handle and we line up. Jamison is fascinated by the rings, stitched onto the pillow and babbles at them as he tries to pull them off.
I put my elbow out the way daddy taught me and Anya takes it. The music starts and we head down the aisle.
Maggie with Jamison is first. A chorus of ohhs and ahhs arises as they come into view. We follow and Anya spreads the petals for Rachel to walk on.
We reach Uncle William, who stands proudly but nervous beside our priest. I take a stand beside him, my fingers nervously playing with the rings, the only items in my sporran. My head is held high as we watch Rachel walk up to her groom.
Don’t  get me wrong, I still find weddings girly then but, the look of awe on Uncle William ‘s  face causes my own heart to jump. Maggie, standing beside her, looks equally awed.
In front of us, mum and daddy, with Anya and Jamison, are smiling at each other. I didn’t realize then, but they were remembering their own wedding.
I admit to tuning out most of what the priest says and their responses until I hear the word ‘ring’.
I quickly take them out and hand them to the priest who smiles at me. I breath a sigh of relief as he blessed them. To have them out of my control and responsibility is wonderful.
They are soon kissing and I turn back towards mum and daddy. Their eyes shine with tears and I realize I am teary eyed too. Maggie smiles and hugs me. In the emotions of the moment, I allow it.
Uncle William and Auntie Rachel head down the aisle together and we follow.
The party is at Lallybroch. This is the part I was most looking forward to. They will be good food, cake , and dancing.
The newlyweds are toasted and we eat. Mum places a huge bib on Jamison to protect his clothes. He has just started eating solid food and is very messy.
Anya flints around the room, accepting compliments on her dress. Daddy, at seeing my look says, “Your sister is a girly girl and this is as dressed up as she has ever been. Dinna be teasing her about it.”
I had thought about but… “I won’t daddy.”
I am made to dance with her and Maggie a situation I endure before taking a seat back by Jamison.
“You are lucky that you are still small enough you don’t have to dance with no lass.”
He babbles away and I count it as agreement.
They finally cut the cake. After eating a large piece, the day starts to catch up with me. Anya curls on mum’s lap and yawns. Jamison is already asleep in his pram.
“Just one more thing, children. We need to see your auntie and uncle off.” Mum rouses Anya and we join the line of people. Bubbles are blown at them as they make their way to the waiting car.
Finally, was are in the backseat of ours. Jamison rides between us. I fall asleep somewhere on the way home.
[Author's POV]
A few days had went by, and tonight was yet another concert for the boys.
Except this time the concerts were going to be back to back, which means they had another one tomorrow as well. Lacie and Olivia were fortunate enough to attend the other two concerts due to the company allowing them to tag along with the boys backstage.
They arrived at the stadium, and were escorted to a very nice and private sitting room while the members were getting ready for the concert. The private room would be where the two would watch the concert live from a big screen TV monitor.
"Wow, look at this set up! I'd rather be in here any day compared to out there with all those sweaty ARMY fans screaming our ears off the whole time. What about you, Liv?"
She turned to see her best friend checking the place out with shiny eyes, "Idk, I like it back here but I loved being able to experience the 'purple ocean' and the guys performing was so much better in person. It was the most amazing experience, you have to admit."
Lacie smiled nodding her head in agreement because she knew Olivia was right, it was definitely something they could never forget.
Suddenly there was a knock on the door and 7 men stepped in, shutting the door behind them.
"Hello ladies, how are you liking your private room?" Yoongi asked as he gestured around him.
"It is amazing and so relaxing! We really are excited that we get to watch the concert in here." Lacie replied.
"Yeah, we tried to have them make it as comfy as possible for you both and made sure you had plenty of snacks and drinks for the whole concert." Namjoon said, smiling sweetly.
"Well.. We truly appreciate that so much Namjoon, thank you!" Olivia said as he nodded and flashed his dimples at them.
"Yes, so just relax and enjoy the show. If you would happen to need anything, there is a button on this table to call one of the staff members to come assist with anything you'd need." Jimin stated as he walked over and pointed to said button.
The rest of the guys spoke for a few minutes, until it was time for them to get ready and go out on stage.
. . .
[Olivia's POV]
We bid the other 5 members a farewell and wished them good luck on the show, but 2 of them stayed behind to talk for just a few more minutes with us.
Jungkook walked up to me and gave me his beautiful bunny smile, "I'm so glad I get to come here to you after the concert ends instead of waiting to see you at the hotel."
I smiled as he tucked a piece of my hair behind my ear. "Me too, I'm most excited to be able to ride home with you, take a shower, and after that getting into nice warm jammies so we can binge watch American Horror Story until we fall asleep."
He smiled, "That sounds absolutely perfect and I cannot wait."
He pulled me to him by my hips as he wrapped his long arms around me for a big hug. I stood on my tip toes and attached our lips together as we completely melted into the kiss. As we pulled back he whispered onto my lips, "I love you baby."
I pulled back and ran my fingers through his hair and whispered back, "I love you too my handsome pop-star. Have a great concert."
He smiled real big and kissed me one last time right before Hobi hollered at him from the door.
"Coming Hyung! He then turned back to me, "See you after the show beautiful." He winked, turning around and exited the room.
I took a deep breath and was smiling at the moment we shared when Lacie suddenly cleared her throat. When I looked up at her, she was giving me a big smile, "What?"
"Nothing. I'm just glad the two of you made up, you're perfect for each other Liv, I truly believe that."
I blushed. "He makes me so happy, I just can't help but keep thinking about when we have to tell them goodbye... the day is getting closer and closer and i don't know if I'll be able to do it."
She came up to me, grabbing my shoulders, turning me to look at her, "Please stop worrying over this. The conversations will happen eventually... until then, enjoy your time with him."
I sighed, "How are you so calm about this? You'll be leaving Hobi as well-"
She interrupted me, "Hobi and I have already agreed to continue a long distance relationship together to make this work. You and Jungkook need to have the same conversation, so you both can be prepared when it's time for us all to head home."
"I guess you're right. I'm just nervous about what he will want to do."
She looked at me with a loving expression, "Liv honey, he will want to do whatever it takes to be with you."
I looked at her with hope filled eyes, "You think?"
"Absolutely. You're soul-mates for sure and I think you guys are the real deal."
I smiled at her, pulling her into a hug, "Thank you so much. I needed that pep talk. You're the best!"
. . .
[Author's POV]
Lacie and Olivia continued to talk for a few more minutes until they received word from a member of the staff that the concert was about to begin. They sat down with their snacks and wine to watch the performance and once it started, they could not stop ogling at how amazing the members all looked.
"Oh my gosh! Look at Yoongi!!!" Lacie stated.
"Jungkook is looking so good! Look at him in that red outfit!" Olivia said while fanning herself dramatically.
"HOBI IS EVERYTHING!" Lacie said, taking a huge drink of wine as they both continued to commentate about how the members sang, danced, and looked during each one of their performances.
. . .
Time Skip — After the Concert
Everything was phenomenal and they could not be more proud of them all and as the concert came to a close, Jungkook busted through the door and went straight to Olivia. His lips crashed onto hers as they kissed passionately, "I missed you so much, Liv."
"I missed you too and you all did so good tonight! I'm seriously so proud of you all-"
She observed him with furrowed eye brows and changed the subject, "N-not that I'm not happy to see you, I really am... But I'm curious, why are you not getting a shower and finishing up everything with the others?"
He smirked, "I wanted to come back here and get you. I want to go back to the hotel because as I recall, we had plans to get a shower, get our pajamas on, and binge watch American Horror Story... right?"
"Yes, that's right. But.. won't the guys get upset that you didn't wait on them and went with me instead?"
He chuckled, "No baby. Namjoon Hyung actually insisted the idea. He said that we weren't doing anything after this anyways and I should just get you and take you back with me... So are you ready to go?"
Olivia turned and looked at Lacie, but she was already in Hobi's arms. As if Jungkook read her mind, he turned to her, "He's doing the same. He wanted to come and get Lacie since I was coming to get you."
"Okay then, yes. Let's go, I'm sure you're ready for a shower and to lay down." He nodded as she grabbed his hand, turning to Lacie and Hobi, "We are going to head back to the hotel, text me if you need anything and be safe!"
"We will and you both do the same. Enjoy your night and great job tonight Jungkook!"
Jungkook smiled at Lacie and bowed then lightly tugged Olivia's hand, insisting that they go. The pair left the room, heading to the back exit of the stadium where no ARMYs would be so they could get in the car that's waiting to take them back.
. . .
[Jungkook's POV]
We entered the car safely with no one seeing us and started on our way to the hotel, "Come here baby, let me hold you."
She got closer to me with a smile on her face and laid her head on my shoulder as I put my arm around her.
"You smell so good." She stated with a little sigh as if she was taking in as much of my smell as possible.
I chuckled. "Why thank you. I guess I should wear this perfume more often then, huh?"
She nodded. "Yes, I love the way that it smells."
I smiled, placing a kiss on her forehead as she nestled into me for the remainder of the car ride.
My life feels so complete when she's with me, but I dread when we have to have the discussion about what we're going to do when it's time to go home....
basing directly off sam raimi for a) the fact that he's primarily known as a horror director, b) is a huge name in the industry, and c) is likely on the level of josh's dad, here is roughly the "net worth" of the washington family.
by 2015, his dad is worth $45,000,000 USD if you liquidate all assets entirely down to what they're directly worth.
why this number? sam raimi is worth $40 mil. robert (bob) washington is described so heavily as this movie mogul in hollywood and this huge hotshot producer / director figure who has all these awards, has a significant sized family (it's not cheap raising three kids), and literally bought a mountain (ie enouigh property of the mountain for the peak to be considered "mount washington" after razing an entire hotel to build a lodge atop it, among other little things to keep everything operational (including lighting, sheds, electrical gates, etc) among other things.
which, just really fast, what is the cost of buying a mountain? or buying a mountain that way josh's dad did? there's a couple of answers:
a) it was likely cheap. it doesn't have a functioning ski lodge, it's not farmable, it's not commercial use, none of that. bob had to put the work in making the land "viable" or even usable to his family. it was also bought for personal use. this wasn't a lodge to rent out, this was another home. anyways. b) it's "cursed". which comes with cheap. there's been a ton of history about this, which likely drove away other sales, and allowed him to negotiate. c) he didn't actually buy the whole mountain, just enough of it to really claim "social full ownership" (if that even makes sense? he owns a bunch of it, just not all of it).
cost: roughly anywhere from $2mil USD (least) to maybe $10mil USD (most). likely between $4-6mil USD with a promise to raze the hotel for him. also, my cost-estimates are actually going off of the modern market, not in the late 1990s when he purchased it, so it was probably even cheaper tbh.
"After a successful career in Hollywood netted movie mogul Bob Washington fame and fortune, he purchased an extensive amount of land atop Blackwood Mountain to serve as the idyllic vacation retreat for his family in 1997. The manor house he built there functioned as an ideal getaway and a testament to his wealth and prosperity, and thus the Washington Estate was created. However, the site would prove to be anything but relaxing. Trespassers, protestors, and an enigmatic figure seen on the property would unnerve Bob's wife Melinda. The ultimate tragedy came in the form of the mysterious disappearance of his children." - source
so, bob was likely always in the industry in an "indie" way, then really popped off in probably 1994-1996. more money, more movies, more prestige, more connections, more everything. it happened somewhat fast, though he had always lived comfortably. this would make sense, as i have josh being born in 1994 just based off of his age and the timeline of UD.
so ... josh is a nepo baby, that's just how it is. he was born into wealth that just continued amassing before he can even fully remember being alive. he has a trust fund. he's always going to be taken care of. any kids he has will be taken care of even if he decides to never work again or expand the empire.
i've called him that from the start. he's definitely not in the 1%, but he's definitely likely one of the wealthiest (and most famous / famously connected) people his friends know currently (and might ever know tbh, he's such an exception to the rule in a way which is why we find his friends also being generally in the upper class).
also, just being real, josh is this way strictly so he can do this entire prank for the story of the game. he has to be that rich and also connected in the way of hollywood to pull this off, it just makes sense. otherwise, it's a lot of explaining when it's just much easier to say "he's rich, he's connected, his dad is in the industry, and he wants to be, too" than going "well, he got this x way and this y way and did this z way". until dawn was never meant to get that deep for the length of game, we see these constrictions all over the game because it was originally made to be a "couple's game" where couples passed the controller and played together.
however, he's very interesting as a character when "wielding his wealth". he can't help but "be rich". by this, i sort of mean like ... being invited over means seeing that wealth on open display, but it's not exactly his display so much as his parents. we can argue josh's aesthetic style later, but he definitely is rich in blood. he likes the nicer things, but he's super simplistic at the same time? he's fine to hang out in a house that isn't a mansion, he doesn't think he's "slumming it" by hanging out with anyone that isn't a millionaire, but he is used to that lifestyle. he has this sort of balance he's found, which is a good thing about josh, he does have good traits.
it's like this: josh both does and does not "fit" into the world he was born into. he's likely known by others in his sphere as a sort of eccentric, maybe a bit aloof or weird, and definitely as a creative type. but he doesn't always "get" this stuffy vibe, this sort of facade, and he likes to think of himself as "real" by comparison.
but we see in his choice of friends that they're still pretty wealthy, so there's a comfort there. we could argue that maybe chris? potentially ashley? are more "middle class" (still doing well), and i see matt as coming from the sort of family where he's the first that's "born into" some sort of wealth (from his parents), but it's made to be clear that most of these kids are basically rich kids, such as sam, mike, em, jess (her parents bought her FOUR PHONES in ONE YEAR, that is EXPENSIVE).
chris's general personality but comfortability with the washington family's wealth tells me he could be kind of either? hard to really say unless i was writing him myself, but this is the general vibe i follow and thus otter follows. chris and ash are middle class by comparison. it goes up from there.
josh follows a very personal motif of "if i say we're eating, i didn't ask for money, i asked for your order" or "if i'm eating, you're eating" which extends into a "if i'm smiling, you're going to be smiling" or "if you're not smiling, then i'm not smiling".
Sin never tasted so...
Chapter 5 - Pact with the devil
Tumblr media
A TXT Yeonjun Fanfiction from Mrs. Choi-Park
CEO/non-idol/dom/bully!Yeonjun! / Confident/sub/named/fem!Reader!
Previous Chapter:
[...] I then fell asleep again in the car, which really surprised my parents. But at least I was out of the hotel now, which to me was more like a cage. I just wasn't used to being so close to Yeonjun anymore. And the fact that we had done such dirty things together didn't help either.
The vacation stressed me out more than my studies…great, actually I really needed a break of that.
Warnings under the cut
Warnings: rough language, bullying, sex language, they kinda hate each other, kind words
Please remember that I fully respect the privacy of all K-Pop Idols and that this is just a fantasy. It's not my intention to harm anyone! (I've been a MOA since March 2023)
Fortunately, I still had a whole weekend before my studies started again. I even managed to push the thought of Yeonjun away quite well, that I didn't even know what had actually come over me in the hotel.
Alcohol! It was the alcohol!
Monday morning, after the first lecture, I had an hour break, which I spent with my best friend Yuna.
Like almost every day, she gushed about her boyfriend and how happy she was with him. And like almost every day, I envy her having someone by her side, with whom she could share her life.
"How was your vacation? Anything special happend?" Yuna suddenly asked out of nowhere. My eyes darted from my apple, in my hand, to her. I looked at her questioningly, my cheeks full. Yuna grinned back, "Or met anyone special?"
I swallowed my apple and cleared my throat: "No! Nobody."
Yunas eyes widened before she grabbed my upper arm: "Oh my goooood!!! Who did you meet? Does he look good? What's his name? Is he sweet?"
"Woah! Why do you think I met someone?"
Yuna grinned: "You're red up to your ears!"
I froze a little: "No, I'm not!"
"Oh Sumi, come on! You can tell me. I can see through you from three meters away anyway!"
I rolled my eyes and took another bite of my apple.
The cafeteria was really empty at that time, a disadvantage if you were trying to find something to distract yourself with.
"SUUUUUUUMIIIIIIIIII!" my friend protested, shaking my arm.
I didn't allow my mind to wander back to the moment I had successfully repressed.
What was that anyway? It hadn't meant anything, so why tell Yuna.
"I had a one night stand." My mouth said while my head was still thinking.
As soon as I heard the words come out of my mouth, I slapped my hand over my mouth so hard that it echoed throughout the cafeteria.
Yuna froze just like me.
Shit! What the hell! Why did I say that?!
"You...what?" It fell out of Yuna and I slowly turned my gaze back to her.
"I... didn't wanted to say that." I admitted and we looked at each other in silence for a while.
"Damn...that was...that was your first time..." she said, who really knew everything about me. Meanwhile I buried my face in my arms.
I knew that...I had given my first time away, on a one night stand...which I really deeply regretted.
"Oh shit...was he...at least careful? I swear, if he was an ass, then I'll search the whole world for him and then kill him!" Yuna made her statement and I raised my head.
There was no chance I would tell her who he was...she knew Yeonjun and grew to hate him like I did.
"It's okay...I honestly don't want to talk about it." I admitted and then there was a brief silence again.
Shortly afterwards I felt my best friend's hand on my back. "It's okay, girl, I'm here for you."
I loved her for those words, but I didn't think I would ever want to talk to her about that.
*
The day was long and hard, the conversation with Yuna this morning had undone my work of repression. Afterwards, my thoughts kept wandering to Yeonjun.
Yes- he was an ass and an idiot, but he had taken something from me that is very valuable to a girl. We were now connected for life... somehow through that and unfortunately I suspected the saying "You'll never forget your first one" was true.
Yeonjun would always be on my mind from now on, even if I tried to suppress it, it had happened.
Lost in thought, I wandered around campus alone, on my way to the dorms. Yuna had another lecture before she promised to distract me as much as possible.
"Sumi!" I heard a piercing voice calling across the campus. I stopped. I couldn't sort out the voice, so I looked around for the source of the voice.
Unfortunately, what my eyes identified as the source of the voice was like a slap in the face.
Yeonjun.
He walked quickly across the campus path, which had been cleared of snow. His deep black jacket, which reached down to the back of his knees, hung open behind his arms. He had put his hands in the pockets of his light gray sweatpants. The cardigan with a green and brown camouflage pattern matched the fabric pieces that were sewn into his pants, as if it had already been torn. He had his thick black hair styled back so that not a single hair hung over his forehead and the silver earring in his right ear and the black and white shoes, you might think he had just come from the catwalk.
I stopped dead in my tracks.
Was I shocked to see Yeonjun on my campus, or did I just not believe my eyes?
Before Yeonjun even got close to me, he started talking: "I would love to behead you! Why would you think of just disappearing like that when we're actually having a conversation?"
What? What was he talking about?
More importantly...WHAT WAS HE DOING HERE!?
When he finally came to a stop a meter in front of me, he looked down at me angrily. His hairstyle only made his features more severe.
"What do you have to say in your defense?" he hissed at me.
I heard whispering behind me, from students who are probably all watching us.
"My vacation was over..." I simply replied to Yeonjun and his eyebrows only furrowed further down. "Our conversation wasn't over yet!" he continued, while I turned around to identify the whispers.
Before I could even make out the faces whispering above us, I felt a large hand on my forearm, jerking me forward.
I made a surprised sound as I was pulled along by Yeonjun. All the way he came.
"Yeonjun! Let go of me! What do you want-"
"Shut up!" He growled. It was clear in his voice that he was angry.
What about? Probably because of the very same reasons that had kept me up at night.
"Where are you going?" I grumbled as I stumbled after him, trying to free myself. He didn't give me an answer and the more I struggled, the tighter his grip became.
"Yeonjun, you're hurting me!" I whined, when I had no choice but to follow him without protest. We left campus quicker than expected and walked through the university parking area.
Yeonjun was an idiot, someone who annoyed me whenever he could, but he was never angry. Seeing him like this now was strangely cold and unfamiliar. I would be lying if I said I wasn't a bit afraid.
Somehow I also felt bad because I knew that I was the source of his anger.
Yeonjun pulled me to a dull gray mid-size Mercedes and finally let me go.
"Hop in!" He prompted and we exchanged a look.
"Why? Do you want to kidnap me now?" I asked and Yeonjun came dangerously close to me.
"I swear, if you keep having such a big mouth, I'll actually do this." He whispered angrily and his eyes flashed evilly at me. I had to swallow.
I didn't seem to have a choice, or at least that's what his sharp eyes told me. My eyes wandered to the car, which appeared to be his.
I had known Yeonjun for ages...but murder or kidnapping were the crimes I would never trust him to commit. He had never physically hurt me.
I exchanged a look with Yeonjun again before giving in and walking around the car to sit in the passenger seat.
Without saying a word we both got into the car and Yeonjun started it afterwards.
"Where are we going?" I asked cautiously as Yeonjun pulled out of the parking lot. His gaze was fixed on the road. He doesn't say a word.
I started chewing on my bottom lip and playing with the belt around my waist.
Man! Like this I had never seen Yeonjun before. Not even in our nastiest arguments.
I had been feeling guilty ever since the day we were at the dance studio.
But what did he expect from me?
I was just trying to do the right thing by avoiding him and the whole sexual tension between us.
"We're going to my apartment to finish what we started once and for all!" Yeonjun suddenly broke the silence. My eyes went to him. His gaze was still fixed on the street.
What...we started...?
Oh God! No! He couldn't really be serious about that.
"Yeonjun-"
"I don't want to hear anything! You wouldn't believe how shitty I've felt these last few days! Think what you want of me - but you brought this on yourself!" He interrupted me as he turned into a street.
"Yeonjun, you can't really be serious! I know I acted like shit, but let's sort this out in peace!" I tried to dissuade him from his crazy thoughts.
"SORT THIS OUT?!" He exclaimed, so loudly that I flinched. His eyes flicked to me briefly. A look that could have killed me.
"Fuck! Do you think I want to discuss with you what has happened and will happen now!?", He asked angrily as he turned into an underground parking lot: "Do you have any idea how fucking angry I am right now?!"
"That's precisely why...we shouldn't...finish...what we started..." I muttered sheepishly as I slumped in my seat. My voice became shaky.
Then nothing came from Yeonjun. I thought about what I could say to change his mind.
Should I just run away? Scream?
"You want to talk?" Yeonjun asked as he turned off the engine and finally turned to me. I looked at him, probably like an injured deer that didn't know where to hide.
"Then talk! You have 30 seconds before I throw you over my shoulder and show you how angry I really am!" he growled. It was probably the last shred of common sense in him.
Shit! But why didn't I just think of anything?
His sharp eyes cut my heart like a blade. The energy he radiated suppressed me, kept me small and my mouth closed.
"Time is ticking!" Yeonjun growled again and I gulped as I looked away from him and stared at the car's handbrake.
Say something Sumi! Say something!!!
"I'm sorry." I said sheepishly and forced myself to look up at him.
The last thing I wanted was to end up in bed with him again. Somehow I had to find a way out of this that would get me back to university.
Yeonjun features actually relaxed, if only for a few split seconds.
"That is the least!" He growled again and I felt my eyes start to burn.
Oh no! No! Get yourself together Sumi! You won't cry now!
I quickly averted my gaze from Yeonjun's fiery eyes.
"I don't know why I even got involved in this. I'm so sorry I gave you the wrong impression.", I raised my eyes to him again, "You're right...I...I liked it. It was consensual. But we both know how wrong that is. Please-"
"Fuck the hell! Who says it's wrong?! We're both damn adults! I don't let my parents tell me what's right and wrong anymore, you shouldn't either!" Yeonjun interjected. His words sounded so sincere that I felt like his anger would be calmed by those words. I looked at him for a few moments. My vision began to blur, another sign of approaching tears.
His words were justified. His feelings were valid...I felt guiltier by the second.
"Okay, I...I have a question for you! Do you hate me?" Yeonjun asked, his eyes visibly softening.
Without blinking, I felt a tear fall from my left eye.
Did I hate him? Well of course...I was raised to hate him. He made my whole life difficult...since then.
"We've known each other forever! Now tell me...when exactly did I give you a reason to hate me?"
"My whole life..."
"No!", Yeonjun raised his hand and closed his eyes for a moment, "Tell me about an event!"
His eyes rested on me again, while the next tear fell from my eyes. I hated the feeling when someone was angry because of me.
"Tell me about an event!" Yeonjun repeated as I wiped my eyes.
"You...stole my lunch for half a year in first grade." I began with a shaky voice.
"Because I saw that the boys in your class spit in your lunch box and smeared boogers." Yeonjun said immediately.
My gaze suddenly snapped up to him.
"What?"
"They stole your lunch box from your backpack." He explained further.
I just winked at him. Was he telling the truth?
"Name something else!" he asked me.
"You...signed up to the same dance club as me just to annoy me." I continued to list.
"The boys in the club were in my class, I heard how they wanted to sabotage you and laugh at you just because you were European...and they were racist."
My eyebrows furrowed.
What? His answers came so quickly that he couldn't have made them up just now.
"We argued every day." I continued to list.
"Think about it...you always started. You never gave me a chance to talk to you normally."
"The nickname, potato."
"You call me an asshole and an idiot... I still think potato is nice."
Then there was silence. I just looked into Yeonjuns eyes, which had softened. His answers were honest but I still couldn't understand what they meant.
"Even that in the hotel now...it wasn't to annoy you or to humiliate you...I've never done anything in my life to block you or humiliate you or keep you down. I made sure that there's only one problem in your life and I took the burden that I would be that problem because...because I have never hated you and will never really hate you. I know you do and the more time passes, the more it becomes my problem...because I just don't want to be...your problem anymore. It is enough for me! It's really enough for me that our parents want to tell us what's right and it's enough for me that you think I'm your problem. I don't want to be anymore...because what we...God damn it! It felt right, okay?! So stop hating me." Yeonjun finished his little speech, which I found difficult to follow.
We looked at each other for a while before my head slowly began to understand. Shortly afterwards, Yeonjuns hand found itself over mine, which was still hanging on my belt.
"Stop hating me, Sumi." Yeonjun whispered. The hope in his voice made my heart skip a beat.
He was serious. I didn't believe he was lying to me...oh nonsense, I've never been so sure that he was so honest ever before.
"Yeonjun..." I started and his gaze returned to me, "I'm telling you, if you're joking right now...it's not funny!"
I left a trailing laugh in my voice to let him know I kind of believed him. Yeonjun started to smile. His warm hand over mine was incredibly calming and comforting.
"I'm dead serious." He confirms to me.
Now I had to start smiling.
"If you promise me that you won't finish what we started upstairs, I'll come with you and we can talk more." I suggested.
Yeonjun seemed to be weighing his options in his head. Finally he let go of my hand and opened the driver's door.
"Then come!" He asked me and got out. I only stayed behind for a short time before I unbuckled myself and got out, too.
*
Yeonjun had disappeared straight into the kitchen when he led me to his apartment on the 6th floor of the 10 floor high building. "You're welcome to look around, I'll make the tea." He called out to me.
However, I stood a little hesitantly in the entrance area of his apartment. I never thought I would ever end up here. This was Yeonjuns apartment.
As soon as he opened the door, I was hit by his smell, which I could never sort out anywhere but it was always somehow pleasant. The apartment was bright, thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows that you could see as soon as you entered the apartment. However, you had to walk down a small staircase before you got to the level, which gave you access to a small balcony.
I hesitantly walked down the stairs and looked around curiously. Yeonjuns decorating style was surprisingly clean and modern.
The dining table and a small sofa were framed by two large plants. A TV on a modern dark wood TV stand on the wall that interrupted the windows and formed the corner of the room. There was also a plant next to the television in front of the window and next to it there was a glass door that led to the balcony. The thin, light, transparent curtains are drawn everywhere, but still let enough light into the apartment. Due to the small height difference between the entrance and kitchen to the dining/living room. The ceiling only started at a height of four meters. This made the room seem surprisingly large. From down here you could see the rather large kitchen further up through a glass wall, which also made the room appear more open. However, the light tiled floor seemed a bit cold and gave me the feeling of laying out a nice carpet. There were two doors to my left, but I didn't want to enter them without permission. Behind them was a dark wooden sideboard with a large stereo system on it and an abstract picture above it. I was really surprised by the beautiful interior design style.
"Have you looked around?" I heard Yeonjun behind me. I turned to him. He held two cups in his hand, which were slowly steaming. Yeonjun placed the cups on the dining table and then looked at me expectantly.
"Is this your first apartment?" I asked and Yeonjun briefly looked around his apartment: "Yes, why?"
I shook my head: "Your family really doesn't know what to do with all the money."
Yeonjun started laughing: "Why?"
"This is the best first apartment I've ever seen!" I admitted and Yeonjun pulled back a chair before sitting on it.
"Do you like it?" He asked and I dared to sit down next to him.
"Yeah! I mean..." I stretched my arms up and looked around.
Yeonjun laughed slightly again, "Yeah, it's not bad."
Then there was a moment of silence in which Yeonjun pushed my cup towards me and I took a sip.
"So...do you believe me?" Yeonjun asked after what felt like an eternity.
I looked at him for a while before looking at my cup again.
What he said in the car sounded sincere, it was probably the most sincere thing I had ever heard coming out of his mouth.
He was right that what happened in the hotel felt right. It felt good to test the bans and it felt good to let myself go. My body had decided it was right, before my head turned on again and it got wrong.
"Yes." I admitted and looked back at Yeonjun, who soon smiled crookedly at me.
"You still hate me?" He asked and now I smiled crookedly.
"Yeonjun, even though I agree with you that our parents tell us what's wrong and what's right and that you never wanted to be my problem, I still grew up hating you. I can't snap my fingers and suddenly like you." I explained, now it was Yeonjun who looked at his cup.
"Still...", I began, fiddling with the rope of my tea bag, "...Hate is a big word. Maybe we can agree on a more harmless word."
Yeonjun and I simultaneously looked up from our cups and into each others eyes.
"Maybe...I don't know." I started to find a word for what he was to me.
Yeonjun smiled: "I don't care what I am to you, as long as you don't hate me completely anymore I'm fine."
We started laughing slightly again. Afterwards, I took another sip of my tea, which Yeonjun did the same. It tasted sweet and calmed me down further.
"Are you still angry?" I asked after swallowing my tea.
Yeonjun shrugged and nodded shortly after.
Oh man! How was I supposed to make this up to him? It seemed like I had hurt him a lot.
"How can I make it up to you?" I asked and Yeonjun studied my face.
"When is your first class tomorrow?" He asked and a big question mark appeared in my brain.
"At 9, why?"
"Then spend the night here today!" He said and my eyebrows raised of their own accord.
"Yeonjun...I'm trying to avoid being in bed with you again-"
"I didn't talk about that. You should just spend some time with me." He said and I looked at him questioningly.
"I think you have ulterior motives."
"I do have, but I won't force you."
I looked away.
Was that really a good idea? Probably not...but the idea that he was still angry because of me was bad, either.
"Even if we don't do anything sexual, it would be nice to have you here."
My gaze returned to Yeonjun.
"Why?"
"Because I still feel responsible."
I looked him over.
Should I trust him? More importantly - should I trust myself? After all, I always got involved with him pretty quickly.
"Not a singel touch! - Then I'll stay." I made my demands.
"I can't promise that."
"Yeonjun..."
"Okay okay...fine! I'll hold back."
"Thanks!"
*
After Yeonjun showed me the two remaining rooms, his bedroom and bathroom, we sat on the sofa and agreed to watch a Marvel movie.
Antmann and the wasp, I had probably only seen the film twice and was therefore one of the Marvel films that I hardly knew.
The longer the movie went on, the darker it would get outside. Yeonjun and I barely talked, but it was strangely comfortable. After he turned on the floor lamp next to the television, the soft light created a mood that made me tired.
Around the middle of the movie my phone vibrated onto the coffee table in front of us. I grabbed it and looked at the display. Maybe it was someone important.
My display showed me the name of my best friend. I clicked onto the messages and read what she texted me.
Yuna: Where are you? 🫡🤔
I had to smile, as I typed my response.
Me: Don't worry. My parents picked me up, they wanted to discuss something. Sorry, 'should have let you know.
Of course it was a lie, but what should I write instead? That I was with Yeonjun and we watching a movie?! - No...she would be so shocked and worried.
"Who is it?" I heard Yeonjun asking. I looked up at him.
"None of your business." I responded and had to giggle when Yeonjun rolled his eyes and stuffed himself another chip in his mouth. My phone vibrates and I looked at the display again.
Yuna: Huh...yes you should have let me know...I prepared some board games🥲But it's ok, 'can't do anything about it. See u later😘
I smiled again, gave her massage a heart as comment and placing my phone back on the table.
As the film's credits rolled, I allowed myself to close my eyes.
The crunching of chips that I heard from Yeonjuns direction was the dominant sound in the apartment that I focused more and more on.
"Are you sleeping?" I heard Yeonjun ask cautiously and I opened my eyes again to look at him.
"No. But I'm tired." I admitted and Yeonjun glanced at his phone: "It's only 6."
I smiled and closed my eyes again: "I've been up since 6am."
I heard the rustling of the bag of chips in response, so I opened my eyes again. Yeonjun put the bag on the coffee table and then looked at me: "Hungry?"
I nodded.
"What do you want to eat?"
"I don't know...I don't want to empty your kitchen."
Yeonjun smiles and motions with his hand as if he were swatting away a fly: "Say what you want."
He looked at me expectantly as I examined him.
"No matter who you are and what you've done with Yeonjun, you're welcome to stay!" I said and Yeonjun started to smile.
"I murdered him and buried him in the forest." Yeonjun said amused and I had to giggle. Then I rested my head against the back of the sofa.
"Should I order us a pizza?" Yeonjun then asked and I turned my head to him.
"I don't have any money with me."
"Are you serious?"
We both started laughing.
"Pizza would be ok. I'll pay you back someday." I then said and Yeonjun took out his cell phone.
He tapped it, giving me a chance to pattern him.
His hair, still styled back, was driving me crazy. So without thinking, I reached out and quickly ruffled his hair. They felt dull, like there was tons of hairspray in them.
"Hey!" Yeonjun said, trying to stop my hand. But it was too late.
When I withdrew my hands and laughed, they were already parted in the middle over his forehead. Yeonjun fiddled with them again himself.
"It took forever to style it like that!" Yeonjun grumbled before lowering his hands again and looking at me.
That's how I knew him!
It wasn't so cold to sit next to him anymore. His eyes seemed less sharp and his features more familiar.
"You look better like this." I admitted pulling my legs up to my chest. Then I hugged them and rested my cheek on my knees. My gaze was still on Yeonjun, whose eyes seemed so much more inviting, now...so much warmer.
"I thought we agreed on no touching." He said. The smile on his lips gave me a strangely calm, relaxed feeling that made me want to hug him.
Crazy thought! Snap out of it Sumi!
"You are not allowed, there was never any talk of a ban for me." I said and Yeonjun's gaze returned to his display. He shook his head almost imperceptibly.
Fuck...his side profile really hit different. He was really handsome in some way.
"Yeonjun?"
"Hm?"
"Why would you go to bed with me again?"
Yeonjun flinched. His head snapped towards me. He sure understood me, but his eyes flicked over my face, searching for a sight that I was really serious. But I was...I really wanted to know.
"Why are you asking that?" Yeonjun finally asked. I shrugged but didn't answer verbally. Yeonjuns gaze returned to his display. He didn't seem to want to give me an answer either. The soft light from the floor lamp next to the television was the only source of light in the room, which made Yeonjuns face look so much gentler.
"I already told you that I feel responsible."
"Oh...makes sense that you want to go back to bed with me to feel less responsible." I said sarcastically.
Yeonjun's gaze returned to me.
"I already told you the second reason, too." He said and winked at me. I raised my head confused by his gesture. Yeonjun started laughing.
What did he mean?
'It feels different with you!' I remember his words from the dance studio.
Heat rose from my stomach to my ears. I quickly turned my gaze away from him.
Well, admittedly it felt really, really good. Better than with my ex, from whom I had only limited comparison.
"You wanted an answer!" Yeonjun said and caught my gaze again.
"I have a question too.",Yeonjun began, putting his phone back on the couch table.
Had he already ordered?
"Why did you let yourself get involved?" He asked.
I was a little surprised by the question, so I just looked at him.
I had asked myself this question so many times, but never found an answer.
"To be honest, I don't know. Maybe I was just drunk." I said and Yeonjun turned completely to me.
"But not in the dance studio."
"I went for it because I knew it felt good."
"Oh, you knew that?"
"Yeonjun, I already admitted it was good!" I muttered and he just started smiling.
"And why don't you want to get involved in it anymore? Afraid that things could feel good again?"
I rolled my eyes and looked away.
Suddenly I felt his head fall on my shoulder. I automatically tensed up. My eyes wanted to go back to him, but all I saw was his black hair next to me.
"I'm gonna be honest now...", I heard him murmur, "You haven't left my mind for the last three days and I may have used you as a fantasy once too much."
Fantasy? Did...did he jerk off while thinking about me? Okay, that was kind of perverted...
Yeonjuns forehead lifted from my shoulder again, instead he rested his chin on my shoulder.
"Even though it only happened once...well one and a half times, it was too much for me." He murmured right into my ear.
I jerked back so that his head disappeared completely from me. Then we looked at each other.
"You...know that sounds pretty perverted." I said and Yeonjun began to grin.
"Why is it perverse that I can't get you out of my head?
"Oh no! You don't get me out of your head, you don't get my pussy out of your head."
Yeonjun started laughing slightly.
"Maybe." He murmured and luckily leaned back a little.
"Have you ordered pizza yet?" I tried to change the topic because I didn't want to admit to myself that I was getting noticeably warmer. My eyes went to his cell phone on the table.
"I would prefer to keep the topic." Yeonjun said, seeing through what I was trying. My eyes went back to him.
Only then I notice how dark his eyes had become.
"Damn Yeonjun! What do you want to hear from me, you promised not to do anything I don't want." I protested and Yeonjun nodded.
"I know, but it's getting harder and harder."
"Then I should go!" I said and let go of my legs. Immediately after I said that, I felt Yeonjuns hands on my shoulders, jerking me towards him. I couldn't react so quickly as I lay on his chest.
"Stay!" Yeonjun demanded, his voice vibrating into my ear against his chest.
I turned my head up to look at him. However, my body remained completely still against his chest and in his arms.
Yeonjun looked down at me.
"Sorry...I know not a single touch, but I can't help it anymore." He said before I felt his hand on my cheek and immediately his lips on mine.
I winced.
Oh no! That wasn't what we agreed on. - Not what I wanted, so I pulled my head back.
"Yeonjun stop!" I shouted hopefully to his good conscience.
"Damn Sumi, what do I have to do to get you involved with me again?!"
"I'm trying to avoid that..."
Yeonjun looked at me for a while before I freed myself from his grasp.
"I feel like a psycho, when you say that!", He whined and I stood up, "Because I need you so much..."
I froze in my tracks.
He needs me? That...that was actually kinda cute - NO! NO MORE GETTING INVOLVED!!!
I let out a defensive breath out: "Yeonjun...I really don't know what to say...I deeply regretted the last acts we shared...I don't want to regret anything anymore."
Yeonjun looked up at me, a small pout on his lips.
"What can I do that you won't regret it anymore?" He asks.
"Maybe you have to start to not-"
"Please sit down again." He murmured.
I looked at him.
He held out a hand to me, "Please."
I hesitated. I really don't need another event that I would regret. But Yeonjun's eyes were literally screaming for me.
"I want to propose a deal to you." He continued and I swallowed. Then I slowly put my hand in his and he pulled me back onto the couch.
"A deal?" I asked as I sat next to him again.
"As soon as we both take over our parents' companies, we will join forces." Yeonjun said and my eyes widened.
Please what?
"No more competition, no obstacles, no requirements, no borders...one union with equal shares between us." Yeonjun continued. I just looked at him. If my father would hear that, he would probably think he had hit the lottery.
"What?" It just fell out of my mouth.
"We can put this in writing and sign it tomorrow morning." He offered.
Now I became suspicious.
"What is the catch?"
"The catch is your decision. One night! - After that you say if you still regret it, If so, then I will stay away from you all my life and there will be no union. If you don't regret it, we will sign the contract and join forces, but then we'll spend a lot of time together and maybe get involved with each other more often in the future." Yeonjun explained.
Wow...that was really like a pact with the devil.
The offer of a merger was very tempting because then I wouldn't have any problems in my future career.
"But the merger may also work without us getting involved again later."
"Not for me."
His statement came so quickly that I had to suppress a laugh.
"Yeonjun...honestly, what's so special about having sex with me?"
"I'll show you if you agree."
I had to take a deep breath and then nibbled on my bottom lip.
"This way, I commit myself to being your sex toy." I told him. Yeonjun started to smile and looked away.
"Okay, fine then just for this night!" He agreed to my request.
"Then never again!?" I asked.
Yeonjun's gaze returned to me and he nodded cautiously.
"Promise!" I asked him.
Suddenly Yeonjun pushed me over. I fell flat with my back on the sofa. When I opened my eyes I saw Yeonjun above me. He had trapped me between his arms, either side of my shoulders.
"Promised!" He murmured before his face came closer to mine.
Oh good! I didn't think it would happen so quickly! He really was after me like a predator.
Yeonjuns soft lips pressed against mine more carefully than before and I felt my heart skip a beat.
Just this night...then never again! - I do it - One more event in life that I regret before my life would change for the better, I could do that much!
The Long Wait (Season 4) Chapter 5
New Homes and Wedding Dresses
Fandom: Grimm
Pairing: Sean Renard/OFC
The Long Wait Masterlist
A/N: Sean and Lorelei move into their new home and a date for their wedding is set.
Tumblr media
***Sean’s POV***
“Your new home must have cost a small fortune.” His mother commented as Sean gave her a tour of his and Lorelei’s new home. Sean had been able to find and acquire it quickly. They hadn’t move in yet, although he’d had people transferring their belongings from the old place most of the week.
“Thank god you had one.” He replied and she chuckled. “Security here is far better than what I had before.”
“Good.” She said as they descended the stairs. “Because I can only save you that way once.
Sean glanced at her as they approached the double doors leading to the balcony. “I know what that must’ve cost you. I’m very grateful.” He told her, glancing out at the magnificent view of the city.
“Did you happen to meet the young woman staying with Nick and Juliette?”
“I did. She seems very capable.”
“She decapitated a hundjager.”
“You think she knew that?”
“She’s a Grimm as well.” He told her.
She raised an eyebrow. “Another Grimm in Portland. What is that? Three now. Once Nick gets his powers back.”
“Yes.”
Mother turned to face him. “I sense that about. Just as I sense something about you.”
“What?”
“You want to tell me who has my eldest granddaughter.”
Sean sucked in a breath, looking back out at the view. “I do, but it won’t do any good. No one knows where she is.”
“Tell me who has her.”
“Kelly Burkhardt.” He said, looking at his mother. “Nick and Lorelei’s mother.”
His mother raised an eyebrow. “Also, a Grimm?”
“Yeah.” He confirmed. “A very dangerous one.”
“You know I’m going to find her.”
“I know you gonna try.”
She smiled at him, as she turned to face him. “Let me look at you.” He gave her a strange look. “I need to make sure you’re ok, there’s no lingering effect of what I’ve done.”
Sean considered it for a moment, knowing what she wanted to see. He woged for her. Her smile widened. “God I’m good.”
Sean woged back. “You are.”
They smiled at each other for a moment, before his mother glanced around at the deck and living space. She returned her gaze to him. “How many guests were you planning to invite to the wedding? Around 20, was it?”
Sean looked, eyeing her suspiciously. “Yes.”
“And you trust these people?”
“I trust them to keep Lorelei and Olivia safe.” He said slowly, wondering where she was going with this.
“What if we had the wedding here?” She said, gesturing to the area they were standing in.
“Here?”
“Yes. This deck has some gorgeous views, it would be perfect for the ceremony and the reception. And then you two don’t have far to go to get home.”
Sean glanced around, considering it. “I think Lorelei would love the idea of being married in our home.” He said, a smile crossing his face at the thought of his love.
“I sense her brother, and his partner will be choosing to restore his powers in this coming week. How about we set the date for next Saturday. It will give us time to get everything together.
Tumblr media
***Lorelei’s POV***
“Elizabeth, what a pleasant surprise.” Lorelei said, stepping back to allow her mother-in-law into the suite.
“I hope you don’t mind me popping by unannounced.”
“Of course not.”
“I wanted to see if you were feeling up to going out.”
“What did you have in mind?” Lorelei asked her.
Elizabeth smiled warmly at her. “Wedding dress shopping.”
Lorelei returned her smile. “I’d love to. I’ve been looking online for ideas, but I haven’t seen anything I like yet.”
“Perhaps seeing them in person and trying them on will help.”
An hour later, they entered a store, Elizabeth pushing Olivia in her stroller. Lorelei looked around; she shouldn’t be surprised that Elizabeth had chosen a high-end bridal store. A woman approached them and addressed Elizabeth. “Ms Lascelles?”
“Yes.”
The woman, Cecilia, led them to a private area before telling them their consultant would be with them soon. She directed them to sit and asked if they would like some champagne. Elizabeth made sure to tell her to bring Lorelei a non-alcoholic one as she was breastfeeding. The drinks arrived at the same time as the consultant. “Elizabeth. It has been too long.” The older woman said.
Elizabeth stood and Lorelei followed suit. “It has been too long Madeline. Lovely to see you again.” She put her arm around Lorelei’s shoulder. “Allow me the pleasure of introducing you to my daughter-in-law, Lorelei.”
Madeline turned to Lorelei. “The pleasure is all mine, Lorelei. Although I fear any dress I have will pale in comparison to your beauty.”
Lorelei ducked her head, feeling her cheeks warm up. Madeline than noticed the stroller and stepped forward, peeking in. “And who is this precious child?”
“My granddaughter, Olivia.”
Madeline returned her gaze to the two of them. “Congratulations. She is absolutely beautiful.” She clapped her hands. “Now, how can I help? Do you have any styles in mind?”
“Not really. I’ve looked at some online, but nothing pops out.” Lorelei said, feeling a little embarrassed.
“Not to worry. Why don’t I pull a few and we can go from there.”
Lorelei was enjoying herself, trying on dresses, however none felt like the right one. “Not to worry dear. We will find the perfect dress for you.” Madeline told her when she noticed Lorelei looking disheartened. Madeline than gasped. “I think I might know the perfect dress for you. It is a little different compared to the other dresses, much more understated. It is maternity and breastfeeding friendly as well. Would you like to see it?”
“Yes, please.” Lorelei said, starting to feel a little excited. While Madeline may think this next dress was understated, Lorelei had a feeling it may be more her style.
Ten minutes later, Lorelei was wearing the dress, checking herself out in the mirror before she would model it for Elizabeth. Madeline was right, compared to the other dresses this one was a lot plainer. But Lorelei loved it. It was comfortable and flowy. There was so much she could do with this dress and a vision was starting to form in her mind. “Oh yes.” Madeline said from behind her. “Your inner goddess is shining through dear.”
When Lorelei stepped out to show Elizabeth, her mother-in-law gasped, her hand coming to rest on her chest. “Oh Lorelei. That dress…it’s perfect.”
Lorelei’s smile grew. “Yeah?”
“Oh yes.”
“The designer for this dress was inspired by the Greek goddesses.” Madeline told them.
Lorelei looked at her image in the mirror. She certainly felt like a goddess. “This is my wedding dress.”
Tumblr media
***Sean’s POV***
Sean looked through the file Nick and Hank had put together, as they briefed him on the case they were working on. “Gabriel’s records claim he has a medical degree from the University of Sao Paolo.” Nick told him. “Had a private practice in Rio for 15 years. Got his green card when he married Ava eight months ago. He has no criminal record in Brazil, so, at least not one we’ve been able to find.”
“Ava’s the sole heir to her family’s import/export business Esperazar Brazil.” Hank continued. “I don’t have an exact figure, but it’s worth about 50 million.”
“So, we’re thinking Gabriel is involved because he has the most to gain?” Sean asked glancing at them.
“Only problem is, Gabriel tried to stop her. When she drove away, the wolf was in her car.” Nick told him.
“Either he’s innocent or he’s working with somebody.” Hank said.
“There’s a hearing tomorrow to determine whether Gabriel gets control of her estate.” Nick informed him.
“So, you have to confirm whether or not Gabriel is a Luison?”
“Yep.” Nick confirmed.
“And use Theresa?” Nick was silent. “Well, she’s a Grimm, right?” Nick glanced down. “Look, Nick, Theresa stopped Weston Steward from putting an extra bullet in me, so I’m feeling a little protective of her myself.”
Nick sighed. “I’m trying to not involve her too much in what we do” He said, as Sean sat down in his chair. “She’s still got a lot to learn. I’m using Monroe on this one.”
“You know, one of these days you’re gonna have to make a decision. Or you’re going to have to back off from these investigations. Now, I personally think that would be a mistake, but I’m not gonna tell you what to do with your life. You’re also gonna have to deal with Sergeant Wu, because I don’t want him getting any closer to bringing Theresa down.”
Tumblr media
It was getting late when Sean returned home. He had let Lorelei know, so she could order dinner, and they could eat when he arrived. The two ate together, discussing their days. Sean learnt that Lorelei had gone wedding dress shopping with his mother. Sean wasn’t surprised to learn his mother was moving fast. “My mother suggested a location for the wedding.” He told Lorelei.
Lorelei looked at him with interest. “Yeah?”
He nodded. “She suggested our new house.”
“We have a new house?”
“We do.”
The beautiful smile graced her features. “I’m happy to hear. I’m starting to feel a little cramped in this suite. And I miss my pets. When can we move in?”
Sean smiled at her. “How does tomorrow sound?”
The next day, after they finished packing their belongings, they checked out of the hotel and Sean drove them to their new home. After pulling into the driveway, Sean got out and went around to open Lorelei’s door. She stepped out, looking up at the house in awe, as Sean moved to get Olivia out. “What do you think?” He asked her.
Lorelei looked up at him. “It’s beautiful.”
Placing his hand on her lower, he escorted her to the front door. “Wait until you see the rest.” He told her.
Sean slowly gave his future wife a tour of their new home. He knew it was risky, purchasing a home without completely consulting Lorelei. However, he felt he knew her well enough to choose one she was love. And he was correct, Lorelei loved the house. It was a large, spacious house with five bedrooms, three and a half bath, and a large yard. It was still close to the city with plenty of privacy.
After leaving Olivia to sleep in her bassinet, the two of them sat out on the back deck off the main level. They were seated on one of the outdoor lounges, Lorelei curled up against him. “You know, my mother suggested having the wedding here.” Sean told her.
Lorelei sat up a bit to look at him. “That’s a good idea. This house has plenty of space and would be great for entertaining. And, we wouldn’t have to go anywhere.”
“I thought it was as well. How would you feel about getting married this Saturday?”
A smile broke across her face before she kissed him. “I’m in if you are?”
Sean laughed. “I am definitely in.”
“That explains why your mom took me wedding dress shopping yesterday.” Lorelei commented. “And why there were a lot of questions about what I would like to do for the wedding.”
“Hmm, Mother is usually more subtle.” Sean said with a smile. “So, we’re getting married on Saturday.”
Lorelei kissed him again. “I can’t wait.”
Hi darling, love your blog 😍🤩 Would you be interested in writing something about Lyle who finds a human reader in the forest and decides to capture her to interrogate her (maybe she could be like Spider who grew up around the Na’Vi)? 💓
Running through the forest your feet harshly smacked the dirt. Pushing yourself to go as fast as you could, you ignored the ache in your legs. You treasured your moments racing through the forest. They were the only times you felt truly free. You'd do whatever you could to chase that feeling.
Growing up on Pandora you knew your surroundings well. You were fortunate enough that the Na'vi allowed you to stick around; even though they viewed you as a stray. You were well aware that Spider and yourself weren't exactly welcome. It was toleration more than anything. But you'd take what you could get.
The scientists didn’t want you to go out alone. They always felt like there was safety in numbers, so you were meant to stay with Spider. But you were you. The feeling of running free trumped everything else.
So that’s how you found yourself exploring the forest by yourself. You were so lost in the world around you that you failed to pay attention to your surroundings. It was almost eclipse. And someone had been following you.
Lyle was scouting the forest when his eyes landed on you. Raising his weapon he was ready to take the shoot when he stopped dead in his tracks.
“What the fuck?” He breathed as he noticed you. What he originally thought to be a native was anything but. Lyle observed you as you wandered. You were definitely human. Painted blue strips covered your arms and legs.
Surly Jake Sully would know of you. You were decked out in Na’vi clothes and everything. Lyle smirked to himself. They could use this. Jake was soft. They could use you as bait.
“Colonel, you’ll never guess what I found.” Lyle spoke into his communicator.
Now all that was left was to capture you. He wasn’t worried about it. You were so small he could practically fit you in his pocket. Plus you weren’t paying any attention. You failed to notice his presence.
This is too easy. Lyle thought to himself. To make things more interesting he purposely stepped on a twig. The snap echoed through the forest causing your head to pop up.
You looked around waiting for something to jump out at you. Worry started to sink into your stomach. Maybe they were right, you shouldn’t have come out alone.
Pandora was just as dangerous as she was beautiful. It was hard to say what had been stalking you. Eyes moving to the rustling in the bushes, you prepared yourself for the worst.
“Well what do we have here?” Lyle asked as he emerged from his hiding spot.
Your eyes widened in shock. A false Na’vi was the last thing you were expecting.
“I’m not gonna hurt you.” He held his hands out in front of him walking towards you.
Your feet felt like they were stuck to the ground. You wanted to run as far away as you could, but your fear made you frozen.
If you stayed here you were as good as dead. Frantically you attempted to run but he swiftly caught you before you made it too far.
“Not so fast doll. Just wanna talk to ya.”
“Don’t fucking touch me!” You screamed. Kicking and punching at him you tried to free yourself. “Let me go!”
Lyle chucked at your weak attempts to stop him. “I’ve got someone who wants to meet you.”
Tears stung your eyes as you accepted your fate. You prayed that someone would notice your absence and rescue you. But for now you were stuck in the arms of your captor.
