I have some ideas for verses where Armand could more easily interact with other fandom characters or original characters. (Also iwtv characters are welcome, as usual.)

Welcome to Armand's Satanic Vampire cult! We could set this in the original timeframe (1500s-1700s) OR a more modern timeframe (the 60's or 90's would be particularly fun although I'm also down for contemporary). Your muse could be one of the vampires or maybe someone's little human juice box, who knows? (But keep in mind that if you're human and interacting with the Children of Satan, you'll eventually have to be turned or killed by their own rules.)

Let's be Theatre Kids Together~ Join the Theatre des Vampires as one of the vampires or one of their victims or perhaps an audience member who thinks it's all fiction. Again, we can set it in the TV timeframe of 1780s-1940s orrr modern day.

I Wanna Take You to a Gay Bar :) Meet an attractive stranger (or two; i also RP Louis) at a gay bar. He might take you home to drink your blood for a good time ;;) Could be set anywhere from the 1970's to modern day.

Sad Boi Hours :( Louis has gone back to his jerkwad ex, Daniel is off somewhere (either having his breakdown or never turned), and Armand is a sad lil vampire with nobody except maybe a pet so he doesn't have to be alone for a while or perhaps he could come across another creature of the night (preferably one who won't abandon him~~) or maybe some human who is interesting enough he won't kill them right away

Just Some Guy. What if Armand but vampires don't exist and he's just a little weirdo? He might still drink your blood though who knows.

i think the thing i'm most disappointed about with riordanverse fandom now versus like 2014 is not only has the fandom not gotten any less racist or queerphobic or ableist (in fact in some regards its gotten worse!) but now it's just boring too. like there's no fandom infrastructure anymore - the community these days is almost entirely source material-driven - and you deviate from canon even slightly people get weird about it. whatever happened to the post-HoO fanon boom. the fandom needs to get weirder again. and self-sufficient. and less offensive.

i miss classic web forums. down with discord.

ill kinda bitch about it more later but been lamenting the loss of being able to easily revisit older discussions like you could back in the day, or just stumble across some older conversations and get inspired. even if there are some forums still out there, it's not the same ykwim. the traffic isnt there. discord feels very transient, too loud. the chat format has its pros/cons like anything.

but lord help you if you have a job/other responsibilities. topics would have come and gone by the time you had a chance to settle back in and catch up. people will post commentary on art/fics that the creators will likely never see. not a new novel observation by any means but i've been stewing on it. like you have this live access to chatting with others but the archival appeal/functionality that a classic forum provides is lost.

Your intrigued with my common sense. We leave late to go get something to eat. Suddenly I have to sit down. I explain that my blood pressure must of dropped. Out of your coat pocket and tell me this will help. A few minutes later I am in your car headed to your lab. Placed on an exam tBle and restrained. What would you do to me?

Hmmm.... I don't usually picture myself as the doctor in these sorts of scenes, but this is just too fun of a scenario.

Once I've got you tied down nice and tight I'd probably set about removing your clothes. Using sharp scissors, I snip through your shirt, pants, and underwear. You can feel the cold steel of the scissors on your skin with each deliberate *snip*. Once I can see your pretty little body, I'd stand back for a moment, taking some notes, coming up with some ideas of which experiments you'd be most useful for.

The medicine from my pocket was of course a sedative, so as you come to and begin to realize your position, I cheerfully greet you saying "Oh good! You're finally awake. I always find it more interesting when my subjects can converse with me as I conduct my research. Shall we begin?"

Well, it's not the most spacious place, for starters. Julie has us all beat on that I think, with Neil and Stephen's place coming second. Then maybe my place? I'm not really sure... DEFINITELY not Scott's.

But it's alright. Ramona knows what to do with the space she has, I think. And she just tucks whatever doesn't need out into her little bag that she's got, so there's never really any clutter, unless Scott's provided it. She's got, like, multiple stories to it? Like, one and a basement, or something- in addition to the ground floor, I mean. We've discussed playing down in her basement, sometimes, for practice? She seemed pretty receptive.

It's nice being over there. I dunno. She hasn't done a whole lot with it, but it's nicer hanging out there than it is here, usually. Wish she was less busy so I could come over more... I mean, I could visit Scott when he's there I guess, but it's not really the same. Besides, I wouldn't want Ramona to come back from work and have to chase me off to get some rest or something?

*Kim sort of snickers a little.* Or she'd come back to me trying to hide Scott's body. She doesn't deserve to deal with that.

Anway, more realistically, she's probably exhausted after running around all day, being the only Amazon delivery person in our area and all. Even if she was fine with me lingering, I'm not sure I want front row seats for the two of them being lovey-dovey or whatever. Gross.

And Gideon... Gideon is probably one of the cutest cats I've ever seen. I didn't really like cats too much before now, but I think I've been converted or something. He's just the sweetest thing, sometimes, and Ramona's managed to get him nearly completely desensitized to being picked up, held, moved around- he just genuinely doesn't care, so long as you aren't hurting him.

He's a short haired cat, I think, but he's super soft- Ramona tells me it's because we're always petting him. Something about the oils in our hands making his fur softer? I think I get the general idea there. His fur is like... deceptively dense though? You can sink your fingers in a little and muss it up if you want.

Heh. I don't recommend trying to mess with his stomach at all, though. Gideon's generally pretty forgiving, and doesn't really bite or scratch people from what I've seen at least, but one time Scott tried to give him belly rubs while he was all splayed out on the couch... the attack afterward was pretty tame so far as the initial strike went, but he got Scott good, and there was like... blood, everywhere. You'd think he nicked an artery or something, but no, it was just Scott doing what Scott does.

Is there some sort of like... thin-skinned or heavy bleeder debuff he's got or something? Or was it just him being a moron and splattering it everywhere? Anyway, Ramona had it handled pretty quickly, and tiredly, so that's probably something really typical for them.

Bad Situations ❄️ - trapped outside in a blizzard / snowstorm

It feels like being plunged into a bucket of ice, the second they pass through the ley-line, and his first thought is FUCK as ice finds its way against his neck and down the line of his back, and cold starts dampening his socks at the ankles. The second is immediate regret. Fuck--- fuck, why'd he ask Sal to come with him?

Not that she can't handle it, probably. Honestly she might be fine in the cold? Given some of her abilities as a death knight, it'd make sense. A body can get used to being in frigid temperatures too, if properly trained, and she spent a fair time in Icecrown and other frozen wastes. So really, this might be nothing to her.

Of course, that point might also be moot, given her status at the time was kind of....dead to the left.

Shaking his head, he focuses on their situation. He'd found something supernatural might be going on, since he'd heard about weird anomalies like wailing and something humanoid with long white hair that seemed to drift above the ground, approaching hikers at higher elevations in the mountains. He had invited Salena as a precaution since the data was vague, with the intent they'd either find nothing, or deal with whatever it was before things escalated too much. There had been mentions of some cold spots, but that was par for the course for some entities. And the mountain wasn't high enough to even see snow. He packed a thicker jacket in his bag, just in case, but there wasn't any evidence there'd be anything like this.

And they'd used the gas station ley-line for pain-free travel. Because they weren't trying to cross to Cadence exactly, they weren't guaranteed to land at the door of another ley-line when they were spit out. Which means they had to be near one, but that could be anywhere in at least a mile or two radius from here. And right now, the whole area was blanketed in deep snow, that definitely shouldn't be here.

So... priority one couldn't be an immediate exit. It had to be shelter. But that meant they were stuck here, not fully prepared for weather like this, given he hadn't found any info on any storms in the area. His skin tingled, both from cold ice brushing against his exposed arm, and where snow pelted the basin of his hoodie, but also with something electric. There was no doubt this wasn't a naturally occurring storm. Whatever was around here could be causing it.

Not that they could do anything about that, now.
