What are vampire's special features in your setting?

Like we already know they are super strong and fireproof. And apprently can't fly or spiderclimb. At least reader can't because they fall of the roof like a sack of potateoes. (Gosh, they really suck at being vampire arent they?)

I must admit, it is both funny and very interesting that, despite being undead, thay apperently still need to breathe. Can they, at least, hold their breath for longer?

Can they be hurt by not silver? I mean, they get ouchas from sitting to long on a horse! Or is this only bc they are so low on blood, that anything could hurt them?

Do they, by any chance have a heat vision? It would be super cool.

Is their sense of smell good enough for tracking people?

So, yes, Vampires are super strong and fire proof. They also have vision and hearing that is much better than human capabilities.

the fun superpowery stuff is found more in the vampires higher up on the food chain. (The vampire hierarchy come more into play in some of the upcoming chapters) Some of where you are in the chain of power has to do with how long you’ve been alive and what powers you have or have gained.

Vampire king - has lived over 500 years and has at least an above average magic power level (or has an extra high level of magic power)

Vampire lord - had lived over 250 years and at least an average magic power level (or has done something beneficial to a king)

Vampire master - had blooded (created) at least 3 vampires

Vampire - has lived a year as a vampire

Freshly blooded - has been recently turned into a vampire and is still adapting to the new life

Magic power has partly to do with who blooded you, the more powerful the vampire you received blood from the better chance you have of gaining more powerful magic/ powers. Their are a few ways you can agin more magic power. One is to feed from magical beings (witches and wizards or other supernatural creatures). Another is to craft potions from the old texts but this is usually a temporary effect. You could also feed from a vampire with more power then you and sometimes they’ll let you do that if you do something for them.

Reader is only your basic vampire rank, mostly because they ran away from their clan. They may or may not have special magic abilities but they don’t know because they’ve been starving themselves for so long, their too weak for anything to manifest or be used.

(No they’re not great at being a vampire 😅 but they’ll get better over time)

So for the breathing. Vampires don’t need to breath but they tent to still go through the motions even after becoming undead. They were once alive and used to breath without thinking about it. Now that their undead their bodies continue to go through the motions.

I want to assume that when you bring a human body back to ‘life’ it’s going to try to function just like how it used to because there’s not a way to tell the brain that you don’t need to breathe anymore. 🤷‍♀️ (unlike zombies that are not really controlled by the brain any more. Or at least not the entire brain)

Older vampires, more often than not, won’t breath. (It’s a posh vampire thing, training your body to stop breathing.)

Vampires can be hurt by this that aren’t silver and silver isn’t the only way to kill one. Sure, regular bullets and swords and things aren’t going to kill a vampire (and wood stakes won’t kill them either) but if you cut a vampire’s head off, If a vampire loses all their blood, If a vampire spends to much time in direct sunlight, if you starve a vampire, all these things WILL kill a vampire.

Uuuh… wait hold on let me circle back to the question. Yes. The reader can be hurt by more things because they are low on blood and weak. But vampires can still get sore like humans can, it just takes more to get them to that point. The reader can gain sore muscles easier while low on blood.

I never did a rant about a ship before bc I always thought someone else could do a better job defending it but, considering how this fandom is...maybe I should give my 2 cents for shigadeku

That’s out of the way, lets talk about this ship. Now, Hori is a bad writer but even in his bad canon...shigadeku does have interesting and “strong” foundations.

And both are alone.

Now, what we know about shiggy is that he is being manipulated by AFO since a young age.

* I want to mention here how...in the hands of a better writer, the name deku could mean smth omen and AFO could call shiggy deku either in front of him or to his back to add more paralels and development for the 2 like, Izu stood up and says/make bk stop calling him deku is great but imagine him defending shiggy?*

oK think with me. In any sci fi/fantasy movie when a character is being mind controlled or groomed...what would stop him to finished the task is seeing the hero/loved one bc would be the begin for the character to.set free.

“I was supposed to kill this person but I dont want ....for now” and develop from there.

Now, when we meet Shiggy is into the hate AFO spill. He has 0 reasons for wanting AM dead.

so now there you are extremely confused about what just happened and incapable of taking care of yourself for the 3 days the potion was supposed to last and now your lab partner has to take care of you until the potion wore off or mister crewel finds an antidote

Riddle has an abusive mother and no younger siblings so our dear tomato is lost, he doesn’t know any rules that would help him take care of a little child so he asks trey for help (like most of heartsalybul when they have problems).

trey lets you eat pastries while riddle does his dorm leader duties but he looked away for a second and oops no child in sight...ok time to panic.

riddle was scolding some heartsalybul students that spilled all of the red paint in one of the chairs so now not only the other members of the dorm couldn’t continue painting but now the unbirthday party had to cancel and you know what happens when you break one of the queen’s rules

6 Anti LO Asks

1. theres also an issue in the fact they're both kings AND ceos? like in what capitalism dystopia are they in where your unelected leaders also control all the businesses that you have to rely on to survive and pay into? it makes no sense. in a modern context like LO wants to be, it should have had them just be CEOS, since by a modern POV royalty are just figureheads, but a CEO is far more powerful.

2. the modern take of LO isnt necessarily bad, but i dont think its handled well. fantasy combined with tech is often fun, and a lot of "modern god" takes can be really entertaining (ex: that post about hades trying to win back cerberus from a stubborn little girl) but the way LO handles it is very lacking. the tech replaces almost all the fantasy (VHS tapes as memories is stupid), which makes the times it actually does use magic/power it seems random and out of place. it hinders instead of help.

3. Once i was telling someone why I don't like Lo couple( power dynamics, only physical, perse immaturity ect...)

Their response was : " But this is an ADAPTATION of the myth so it is normal that is different  from the original " but i never mentionned or compared to the myth.

And they also that Persephone 19 was not Rs fault because it is based on the" actual myth and Hades is older that her "

- She is  a "young" Woman Between 20 and 30 she is not depicted as a teenager like her brother Plutus or some representation of Ganymedes.

- They are gods and every person who did a adaption had follow that princip and so they made Persephone older for the mortal but still young for the gods( her having 100+ years old against  400 years old)

4. I just want to know why fertility is such a big deal

And I don't mean Persephone being a fertility goddess or any other fertility goddess before her

I mean, why it's so important the fact that Hades wants a family, I get that it can be somethimg to show how opossite they are, but literally right after Hades broke up with Minthe he dreamed about having a child with Persephone (someone he just met about two o three days top) and it's also mentioned often, like, she's 19 (or at lesst, looks 19, she looks and acts more like a teen than a young adult) , he just met her, and honestly he has more sexual attraction to her than a romantic atraction and that's just weird 🤨

5. i dont get RS's color reasoning. she says purple is the most sexual color to her, but then wouldt that make artemis more sexual that aphrodite? then she says she wants where theyre most comfortable for them to blend into their surroundings, but wouldnt that mean persephone doesnt fit in the underworld? and then she says more harmonious couples are the same or similar colored, so hxp arent harmonious? they actually clash? theres no shame in admitting you picked colors you liked and thats it.

6. I think part of the reason too that LO feels so off is that, and hear me out, it seems kinda ... jealous.

By that I mean,m a lot of people, and assume someone like Rachel, “relate” to hades in the idea they’re also the unpopular people who don’t “fit in” to the more popular and out there people, like the Olympians are to hades. You see this all the time in how they demean the big 12 as not being “worthy” of hades’ inclusion, how he’s so much “better” to not get involved in their affairs, how he’s so “loyal” and has the “best” relationship (you know, ignoring he had to abduct/sexually assault Persephone to get a wife and still cheated on her anyway), among other things. Because people relate to him, they have to make him better than everyone else to make themselves feel better.

LO basically plays right into this idea but turns it up to a 100. Hades has to be the most desirable man, unlike Zeus and Poseidon and Apollo who are all gross skeezebags who no woman actually wants. He has to be the most powerful king in both wealth and physical power, he could easily be king of olympus, but he’s too good for it. He has to have all the actual sympathy and emphasis put on his trauma, because apparently Poseidon didn’t go through anything? Or anyone else? He has to have all the important friendships and family relationships because of course he does, it’s not like his loneliness wasn’t an important factor to wanting a wife or anything. Persephone has to be the most perfect and hottest and most powerful goddess too, because of course he gets the best wife, not like poor Hera or irrelevant amphitrite. I could go on.

They’re Greek gods, we don’t have to Stan them or tear them down to make one’s fave look better, but I guess that’s what happens when someone like Rachel only consumes these myths through the pop culture lens of western “relatability” instead of actually caring about the culture or context.  You can’t self insert on a god. You’re not that important.

“Right, mon fils, you remember the plan?” Pascal had sat Louis and Marc down at the dining room table and had his serious dad face on. The boys knew this face meant business and sat up straighter, as though they were in a proper business meeting.

“Oui, papa.” Louis answered. Marc nodded in agreement, both of them determined not to let their father down. After all, this was the difference between whether or not they could go out for ice cream at the weekend. All of the shots were riding on this!

“Repeat it back to me.” Dumo instructed.

“Which part?” Marc questioned, still getting his little brain around all of the instructions his father had given him.

“All of it, this is serious business. The two of you are embarking on a journey that can only be ruled as the greatest journey known to man. You two have a legacy to fill, mon fils, a legacy!” Dumo exclaimed dramatically, his arms out as though he was introducing a show on the West End.

“Ce n'est pas si dramatique, papa.” Louis rolled his eyes, and his father gasped.

“Say that again and you are grounded.” Pascal locked his eyes on Louis’. The famous Dumais pranks were a serious business and should be treated as such.

“There is a lot riding on this,” Dumo reasoned, “do you want ice cream or not?”

“I guess.” Louis huffed. “Alright, so we only answer to each other’s names.”

“Make sure all the clocks show a different time.” Marc continued “Can you help us get the higher clocks?” he asked his dad. Dumo nodded.

“Make sure the robot spider is under the couch.” Louis chimed in.

“Ask him where babies come from.” Marc giggled. “Where do they come from papa?” he asked curiously.

“Non, non, ask Cole. He’ll tell you.” Dumo wiggled his finger in front of his younger son's face.

“Okay, okay.”

“Parfait, right, he’ll be back in,” he checked his watch,”half an hour from hanging out with Leo. Let’s get this started, shall we mes fils?” Dumo rubbed his hands together and giggled, leading his children into the kitchen to get started on the clocks.

“Right, we shouldn’t be gone for long but if anything goes wrong, just call us straight away. We’ll be back by dinner time.” Celeste fussed. Her husband was already out in the car with Adele and Katie, ready to take them both to basketball practice.

“I will, promise.” Cole smiled. It was the first time they trusted him to look after any of their kids so he can understand why they were airing on the side of caution. “We’ll have lots of fun.” He smiled over to the two boys who were currently sat watching something on the television. Celeste thanked him again and left, shutting the door softly behind her.

Babysitting was a piece of cake. He could do this.

“Right boys, what’s the plan for today.” He clapped his hands and rubbed them together, sitting down on the couch that was adjacent to the two brothers. Marc’s eyes lit up.

“Can we make a cake?” he asked, practically jumping up from his spot on the couch.

“We certainly can, what flavour?”

Marc thought for a moment. “Chocolate.” he smiled.

“Sounds good to me, buddy, lead the way.” He reached over and grabbed the remote off of the coffee table in the centre of the room and switched the television off, following them into the kitchen.

“Right, let me see what we have here,” Cole started, going through all of the cupboards to round up the ingredients for the cake.

“Louis, can you grab me the eggs please.” He said over his shoulder as he went to retrieve the milk and butter from the fridge.

“No, no, no, Marc wait-“ Cole was cut off by the eggs Marc was attempting to hold in one hand dropping to the floor and smashing everywhere. He froze with his arms out mid step, and just sighed, laughing slightly. “Oh dear.” Marc looked up at him.

“Sorry Cole.”

“It’s okay buddy, how about you go and change your trousers and socks so that you’re not walking around all day with egg on them and we’ll throw them in the wash. It’s no big deal.” he smiled, grabbing a wet paper towel to start to clean the egg yolk off of the floor. Marc nodded and ran to his room. As he cleaned up, Louis gathered all of the ingredients onto the side, and grabbed more eggs from the basket.

By the time the floor was clean, Marc had come back down in a fresh pair of jeans and socks and popped his dirty ones into the washing machine for his mother to deal with later.

“Perfect, right, Marc, you’re in charge of weighing things, okay?” He looked at Marc but Louis nodded, sitting up on the bar stool in front of the weighing scales.

“Okay.” Louis smiled. Cole widened his eyes slightly but shook it off. Maybe he misspoke?

“Marc, you’re going to help me mix everything up, okay?”

“But I thought I was weighing the ingredients?” Louis asked, confused.

“Yeah, I was talking to your brother?” Cole said, though it came out more of a question. He placed his hand on his hip and scratched his head.

The boys just shrug and carry on anyway, allowing Cole to guide them through the recipe, one his mother swears by back at home. He was hoping it lived up to Celeste’s baking but he doubted his skills were that good. It was the least he could offer her for all the amazing meals she had cooked for him so far. She insisted that it was nothing but when one is so far away from home, having another mother cook a full homemade meal brought immense amounts of comfort to him.

They carried on working around each other, occasionally turning up the radio when a good song comes on, laughing and throwing flour and sugar over each other. Cole was an only child, but if he wasn’t, this is how he would want to spend his weekends with them. He supposed he wasn’t any more; his chosen family adding to the numbers ten-fold and he was beyond grateful for it.

Once all of the ingredients had been mixed, he asked Louis, well who he was sure was Louis, to help him pour the cake mix into the cake moulds. He started doubting himself as Marc, well who he was sure was Marc, came to help him. Once he had placed the moulds into the oven, which he noted had the wrong time displayed, he sent the kids through to the sitting room as he set the timer on his phone. His thumb hovered over the message app icon, wondering whether or not admitting defeat was wise. He quickly changed his mind as he thought up a better idea, opened the app and clocked on Leo’s name instead.

‘Hey man, I have a really embarrassing question but you CANNOT tell Dumo, okay?’

‘Oh god, this is gonna be good.’

‘Leo, PROMISE ME.’

‘Jeez man, okay, i promise!!’

‘Which of Dumo’s boys are older? Louis or Marc? Because i think ive been calling them by the wrong names.’

‘OH MY GOD HAHAHAHAHAHA COLE!!!!!!!!! PLEASE TELL ME YOURE JOKING’

‘Leo…’

‘Oh my god you arent joking.’

‘Please?’

‘Marc is the older one. Oh my god that is actually hilarious. Logan’s wetting himself.’

‘I’m never hearing the end of this.’

Cole put his phone away in his pocket, feeling incredibly embarrassed. Had he been calling these kids by the wrong name for the past month? It would seem so. He filled himself a glass of water and walked into the sitting room, sitting down on the couch next to Marc, no, Louis, the younger one.

“How long until the cake’s ready?” the older one asked.

“About twenty minutes now buddy. What are we watching?” he asked, gesturing to the television.

“Minecraft videos,” the youngest answered, smiling. Cole shook his head, clearly realising he had lost his touch with kids. Wasn’t Minecraft big, what, four years ago now? He pulled his phone out of his pocket and started aimlessly scrolling through Instagram, liking and commenting on a few of the posts until the youngest sibling piped up again.

“Cole?” he asked, an inquisitive look on his face.

“Mhm?” Cole replied, taking a sip of his water.

“Where do babies come from?”

Cole promptly spat his water back out looking at the youngest with wide eyes, stuttering slightly in shock. How was he meant to answer that?!

“I- well- have you not asked your dad this?” he stuttered, this was not what he expected to be answering today, to a nine year old nonetheless.

“Non, I just thought of it” the younger one shook his head.

“Oh, well, I mean, when two adults want to have a baby, they do a special hug, I guess?” Cole replied cautiously.

“So maman, and papa did a special hug for me, Louis, Katie and Adele?”

Cole just stared at him, mouth trying and failing to come up with a response to that. The last thing he even wanted to think about was Dumo’s sex life, no matter how many times the Lions’ sex lives were brought up in the locker room.

Thankfully, the timer for the cake went off, giving him the perfect excuse to exit the conversation. He set the cake on the side to cool, making a start on the icing. The boys decided to stay in the sitting room, engrossed in the video they were watching. He glanced up at the clock on the wall. Surely it wasn’t still early afternoon? He checked the time on the oven and it matched, as did the one on the radio, and the fridge, and everything else in the kitchen apart from his phone.

“Boys, what time is it?” he shouted through to them.

“The tv says it’s 3pm!” Marc, Louis, the older one shouted back. He ran his hands over his face and checked his phone, noting that the time read ‘17:30’. He just rested his head in his hands with his elbows against the counter; he evidently did not get enough sleep last night. He quickly decorated the cake to return his thought process to something concrete and set it aside, joining the boys in front of the television quickly after.

He couldn’t have been sat down for more than five minutes when the biggest fuck off spider he had ever seen crawled out from under the couch, right next to his foot. Like any normal, self-respecting 19 year old man, he screamed and jumped up onto the couch.

Both boys were in hysterics.

“Cole, we got you so good!” The younger of the two was currently beside himself on the other couch, tears streaming from his eyes as he held up a little remote; evidently the remote for the spider.

“You two are taking after your father it seems.” Cole laughed nervously. He was well aware of the notorious Pascal Dumais prank streak and it seemed. They pressed play on the tv until Celeste, Dumo, Adele and Katie came home. He was grateful only in the sense that he was completely and utterly exhausted from today.

“Aaahhhh, you boys made a cake!” Celeste mused, walking into the kitchen to have a look at it, “it will be perfect for after dinner.”

“Did you have a good day, mes garçons?” he asked. Both boys nodded, understanding that their father was asking if they did everything he asked of them.

“It seems your boys take after you, Dumo. Got me pretty good with a spider under the couch there.” Cole laughed from his position on the couch.

Dumo let out one of the biggest dad laughs known to man. “Incroyable! I’m proud of you both!” Both of his sons looked at him and began laughing with him, but followed their mother and sisters into the kitchen.

“I hope they weren’t too much trouble?” Dumo asked, hanging his coat up and turning to Cole.

“No, not at all. It was a fun day, a long day but a fun one. Really set me through my paces there. For a hot second i thought it was one of your tasks.” he laughed as he stood up.

Dumo froze.

“My children are a task to you?” he looked Cole straight in the eyes and cocked an eyebrow. Cole stared at him wide eyed and started stuttering, attempting to form and answer. Pascal laughed and clapped him on the shoulder. “I’m only joking, kid. You should have seen your face!”

“Haha, yeah, I’m just going to run to the toilet real quick and I’ll join you for dinner. Won’t be long!” He left, looking quite flustered as PAscal made his way into the kitchen. His wife was leant against the counter with her arms crossed and a slightly amused expression on her face.

“You are a cruel man, mon roi. A cruel cruel man.” she shook her head and turned back around as she continued to prepare dinner.

He stalked over and placed a kiss on her head.

“It’s called character building, ma reine.” he smiled. “And I am nowhere near done just yet.”

I'm making this post the disclose my current opinions on the Dndads discourse and how frivolous its become.

I would like to preface with one thing;

This post contains content of grooming and manipulation, as this has been the main discussion in this fandom and the issues. I am speaking from my own personal experience, as a former victim of grooming who only recently escaped my abuser. I will not say their name, those who I feel comfortable knowing further information on this already know.

this is my trauma, and I am speaking from my experiences. This is one of the hardest possible topics I could touch on, and I beg anyone who still cares to listen, whether I change your mind or not. Listen.

I've wrestled with my support of this podcast for eleven weeks now. Maybe longer. Since before the discourse became a major thing. I've wrestled with this since episode 34 was released, and I need you understand that.

I need you to understand that I believe the hosts have done what they can to fix these issues. And I genuinely do not see what people still want from them. I will address each topic one at a time, and if I touch on things lesser than others, please understand that this discourse triggers a trauma that I underwent less than a year ago. a trauma I am still processing.

1. Grant, and his over sexualization.

The jokes revolving Grant and his sexual orientation or exploration were sometimes in very poor taste, I am not that blind. I will not defend them or say they weren't as bad as they are. But here'd what people have to think about when we talk about this; Those jokes are already in the episode. They cannot be removed, and the best the hosts can do about that is avoid that humor in the future. Humans are not perfect, and humor is ever growing part of a person, its always a tossup of if a joke will land or not. These did not, and they have not made these jokes since they got called on it.

On the Discord claims about them discussing his porn history, I can say nothing on that. I've seen no sources or proof that that happened. I won't make any opinions or comments on that until I've seen concrete proof that these conversations happened.

2. The Unsafe Discord.

They're Discord is no longer unsafe. Blanket statement, no discussion open. Here's the thing and here's where I'm going into my personal experience; Discords minor precautions arent up to par either. The DnDads hosts have made their 18+ channels, they've made the Discord clear to not be a totally kid friendly place and has tried to separate adults and minors. But they genuinely can only do so much. Minors can easily bypass these guidelines, and that is where we get to the whole grooming argument.

As a grooming victim, this is not the slippery slope people make it out to be. And adult fans,,this is where I'm telling you to sit down and shut up for a minute. Listen, for just a moment. I know I'm "just a kid" but, I've lived the possible outcomes you've thrown out. I lived that experience, and I lived. I survived, and the way you talk about it is so invalidating to me its absolutely disgusting.

I'm prefacing this with this may sound ineloquent, and not as "pleasant" as I usually like to sound. Because with this I expect people to listen. Its not in the public ass Discord server where you should watch out for the child. Its if you see an 18+ individual actively DMing that person, and this minor speaking about this person as if they're a major part of their life.

I need you to understand that I was genuinely wary of one of our own community members when I first began speaking with them, because of this trauma. I wary of ALL of our community members. I didn't share my other socials with people in this community unless I knew their content first. There have been multiple times I've stopped myself from messaging who I will call "My Annus" because of this trauma I've endured.

And I'm sorry, but Waterdeep genuinely has no precautions set in place to separate adults and minors that the DnDads Patreon does not. You cannot act like saints and villainize them, when they adjusted and became you. Then either both of you are saints or both of you are demons.

Children interacting with adults is always a bit set back at first. But I've been groomed. Twice. And you people act like its obvious, like it can happen so easily. And it does, it happens easily. First its them texting you so much you feel overwhelmed, then its them becoming someone you rely on. Someone who makes you pity them.

And its not gonna be people who are SIGNIFCANTLY older. (i.e, I feel much less worry interacting with 30 year olds than I do 18-22 year olds.) Because the adult people that feel 'more understandable' to be friends with cause their just barely adults? they tend to pry harder. They can get away with it. Thats just fact. The people who say "Oh I'm eighteen, but I just turned eighteen" I'm always the wariest of. Not because I'm convinced they're bad people or whatever, but because both times; my abuser was one of those people. This was two different people as well.

And thats what the adults of this fandom won't address. That its not the slope they've made it out to be. Because then they have to retract statements they made, and a lot of people, minors and adults, just don't have the humility to do that.

The only advice I can give to people in the server, who are worried for the minors. These are the only signs I can give you, and this is from my experience or the experience of other survivors I've spoken to, and I'm by no means saying this is concrete.

Abusers tend to be /just/ enough of an adult to be considered on, but not so old that it'll be considered weird for them to befriend a minor. The age gaps I see most often are 14/19 or in that kind of range. They'll go for the lonelier or newer folks, the ones who haven't built their group in the community and are just entering. The ones looking for their place in the hierarchy. If you want to help protect us, you watch like a mother bear when a new minor joins.

A lot of us don't realize its happening until its too late, and by the time we realize the situation we've fallen into its too late for us to get ourselves out. The majority of us have weak wills and a fear of conflict.

3. What the Hosts have done in response.

I honestly, genuinely think the hosts have done a lot of steps in the right direction. And in recent episodes? man, they've tagged their shit better than the McElroys, and no I'm not reaching there.

Honestly, they kind of did before to, on topics they knew were really rough for some people.

When they warned for the Willy Stapler stuff, I was grateful. They warned me I may be triggered by Ron and Willy's dynamic before I was forced with it. The McElroys had a scene with grooming in Grad, and I wasn't warned. I couldn't mentally prepare myself and I had a minor reaction to it. And thats not at all to shit on the McElroys, anyone who knows me know I love that family more than anything. That they saved me. Thats just a statement I need you all to understand.

The Hosts aren't "ignoring us" they're listening to us. They genuinely are. They saw we wanted content warnings, and they gave us some of the best content warnings I've seen. They've content warned episodes I didnt see reason for content warnings.

4. The Transcripts.

Look, this is beating a dead horse at this point. I, personally, have debated beginning to transcribe episode. I know they said they will, and I trust their word. But thats all we can really do, right?

I've transcribed things myself before, guys, and thats hard. and it takes time. and knowing them, they'll want to get all the current episodes up at once, and thats gonna take a hot minute to get down. And we can go into "Well why didnt they transcribe from the beginning?" and well, that's because transcribing just wasn't a thing until recently? Like again, going back to MBMBAM and McElroys, they don't even have all of TAZ transcribed last I checked (I believe their transcriptions go from Grad-Stolen Century, and anything before Stolen Century doesn't have one yet. I may be wrong on that.)

I will not speak on the other grievances and issues people have brought up in the show. The topics I covered are the only ones I feel comfortable speaking on on a public platform, where my words can sway opinions.

There is no TL;DR, because as I said in the beginning; if you can't read this, you aren't listening well enough nor willing to actually discuss the issues you have. You're looking for something to be mad about. Period, end of discussion.

I don't say that to act like I'm some authority on this, or some higher being above all of you for "being forgiving." Because, frankly I don't forgive them. I will continue to support them for making steps in the right direction, and upping their game. But, I won't forgive them for their jokes or the brief lack of precaution in the server. But, I will move on and I will support them. Because, as a victim of the problems people brought up in those situations, the steps the took are the best ones they could have. And I am grateful for that.

If other survivors read this and disagree, you're perfectly valid in that. We all went something, and it effects each of us differently. My heart goes out to you, as well, I know how isolating and genuinely terrifying those experiences and situations can be.

To those who aren't survivors and have read this; I beg you to think about this.

I am open to discussion further on this, but to an extent. There are some opinions I hold in this message that I will flat out tell you to not debate me on, not because of anything other than what I said in this post was hard enough to me to say.

Decided to take a break from the main story-line. I want to go back to working with krill for a while, allowing him to experience different kinds of people and situations, so if you have any ideas, I am open, though weather or not I will get to them is another matter entirely. 

Te chopper blades whirled overhead so deafeningly loud that Krill couldn’t hear himself think. Leave it up to the humans to create a piece of technology that got them into the air by attaching a giant fan to the top of it, or giant spinning blades of death. It actually offended him that they didn’t use some kind of hover-craft, which he was sure they had. However, Commander Vir had said that the Navy didn’t have a whole lot of “funding” anymore so their technology tended to be older than dirt.

Krill didn’t think anything would be older than dirt, but stopped short of correcting the human when he realized it was probably just some sort of saying. But now, here he was trapped inside this loud, metal container, feeling the wind buffet them back and forth as Commander Vir adjusted the pedals.

Krill had no idea that the Commander could even fly a helicopter, be here it was. 

The guy could probably fly a cardboard box if it had a big enough engine.

Beside him sat the Navy pilot surprisingly eager to learn from the more experienced man, and the two kept a light string of conversation over the headsets. The second guy was on lend from the Naval office as an assistant of sorts. The commander seemed confused, but apparently it was common for higher ranking officers to have subordinates to lick their boots and hand them things.

Commander vir hadn’t gotten that memo.

The original pilot pointed out the front and the helicopter tilted just slightly.

Krill lifted up a bit to look out the front window, but was mostly blinded by sunlight as it reflected off water.

Commander Vir flew the helicopter in low aiming for the helicopter pad on the back end of the ship.

He managed to maintain a hover just above  the circle surprised when, “It’s moving!”

“Yes sir, we are on water.”

“Its not supposed to be moving.” he said to himself trying to determine the best way to let down.

“Just get her in close commander than drop her when she comes back up.” The pilot instructed, pleased that they could teach something to a superior officer, though the way the man talked it was hard to remember all those fancy ribbons on his dress grey.

He was a pretty good listener too, and didn’t back down from a fight, lowering himself towards the deck and then timing it just so it placed when the ship swung back up.

It was a minute movement, but still could have thrown anyone off.

As soon as they touched down and the commander cut the engines, Krill could feel the light rocking.

He, and the others stepped out onto deck. 

Krill stopped in his tracks eyes staring out at a scene he had only seen through the small windows of the ship. A vast and unending horizon of water on all sides. Tiny white capped waves rolled up and down as the massive steel ship bobbed below him. He turned in a wide circle, staring off at the vast horizons and stretches of water so wide.

They were the only ones here, nothing else in sight.

He grew a bit dizzy.

“Good morning Commander.”

Krill turned to watch as the ships XO (executive officer walked forward to greet the man with a firm handshake. He was surprised at the youth of the commander, he was older than a good portion of his men, but younger than a lot fo them too. The Captain was in his early forties, this man almost young enough to  be his son.

“A pleasure captain.” At his back the Lieutenant stood stiffly waiting to be used for some reason or another.

“I heard you were coming, to what do we owe the pleasure.”

Commander Vir glanced out at the sloshing waves with some unease, “I wanted to come down to observe the operation of your ship, Captain. I am afraid to say that current UNSC protocols are still being made, and I thought Navy and UNSC vessels are similar enough I might due to take some lessons from the way things are run.”

The man smiled, “Well, sir generally the brass doesn’t sail. In the Navy you would have a cushy job somewhere on land behind a desk.”

“String me up when that day comes.”

“You and I feel the same way then. The sea is my life, Been sailing since I was a kid, and I couldn’t imagine what I’d do without her.

Commander Vir nodded, “its flying for me.”

Krill glanced around the ship, watching as men and women worked on objects that he did not know, wearing uniforms he did not recognize. They were led down onto the deck, and Commander Vir stumbled a few times, unsteady on the moving platform.

The captain grinned, easily riding the gentle rocking motion as if they weren’t moving, “Someone has yet to get their sea legs.”

Commander Vir gripped the railing, “Fun fact. I’ve never actually been on a boat, at least not larger than a canoe.

Behind him, Krill simply tried floating to avoid having to move, but found the boat deck moving below him, and a gentle sea breeze pushing him back. In panic he set down on the deck again.

“Seems strange, someone who pilots a ship,”

“No such thing as space legs.” The commander commented gingerly letting go of the railing. We have gravity mats that make it just like earth, and there is no wind or water to make us move. Steadier than riding in a car, and once the acceleration is done there is no way to know you are even moving.

The man shook his head, “Can’t imagine wanting to fly in space, being trapped inside a tin can that, if it malfunctions my eyeballs would be sucked out of their sockets.”

“Actually that doesn’t happen. You would freeze first, while your blood boiled off anyway.”

The man gave him a look, “You’re insane.”

“I’m insane! At least its better than drowning, or being eaten by sharks.”

The captain waved a hand, “I can’t remember the last time someone in the navy actually drowned.”

Commander vir eyed the edge of the ship nervously.

“Anyway, Commander, I am glad we could be of service, truth be told us sailors arent needed all that much anymore now that wars tend to take place in space and off world. Most of the stuff we do includes tracking down pirates and saving dumbass civilians who don’t know what a red sky at morning means.”

Commander Vir stared at hi blankly.

The man frowned, “You don’t know do you.”

“Can’t say I do.”

“Red sky at morning sailors take warning. Meaning there’s going to be bad weather?”

He shrugged, “Why not just use radar for that.”

“The man looked almost offended, “Thousands of years of accumulated knowledge, and you just want to use radar?” 

Krill watched in silence keeping notes in one of his cortical hemispheres as he listened. It was strange, by all rights these two men should have been similar in a lot of ways. When it came right down to it  a UNSC vessel and a Navy one were pretty much the same and included a lot of the same sort of things on board. Even the two men were similar in their almost rabid love of the place they worked. One and knew more about the ocean than krill thought there was no know, while the Commander had a handle on space that no other man in the history of humanity ever had.

To krill’s surprise it turned out there was some actual sill to floating on a large body of water. The man talked about the currents, and the weather patterns, and the way the ship liked to ride them. 

Space vs ocean, and neither man seemed to understand why the other would want to go anywhere near the other’s domain.

The Navy captain also seemed to be having a right old time watching commander vir stumble into things as he adjusted to his “sea legs.”

Krill had no idea what that meant, but he kind of doubted it was what it sounded like. The saying made hi think the human was going to spontaneously grow new legs for walking on the ship, but the more likely explanation seemed that the human body would get used to the constant moving, so the person would no longer have trouble when walking.

Krill didn’t really need sea legs, though he marveled at how the humans could seem to work so normally on a rolling surface when their balance was already unbelievable.

Around the ship, the regular Navy men were more than a bit tickled to see a member of the brass (UNSC or otherwise) wobble about like a ‘drunken’ sailor. Mostly it was funny and partially it made them feel superior to someone who would usually have that edge over them.

Eventually the Commander go the hang of it and accompanied the Captain to the bridge and around the ship to see how things worked taking occasional notes, but eventually ordering the Lt. to do it for him as, “Your fidgeting is making me nervous, so have something to do.”

Krill got stared at, a lot, but that was pretty normal for him, and, on one occasion, a call went out from one of the men on deck, and an entire group of them rushed over to one side, pointing at the water. The captain led them over just in time to watch in awe as a massive creature breached the surface of the water. Krill stepped back as the massive shape slowly tilted backwards and water erupted around it.

The captain turned to look at the commander with a smug expression, “Guess you didn't get to see that in space.”

He was a little less pleased to see the commander smirking at him, “Perhaps not…” he let it trail off there, though his grin was rather telling.

“What! You’re not telling e there are space wales.”

“I am not at liberty to discuss that, captain.”

Krill wasn’t entirely sure if their teasing was friendly or if their rivalry was something more than that.

Either way the captain did get the last laugh, as sitting inside the ship the commander didn’t touch his food head resting back against the wall, eyes closed. As a doctor, krill couldn’t help but notice the parlor that had fallen over his face. He was about to ask the commander if he was feeling ok when the captain strolled up, his turn to look smug and took a seat, “Don’t worry, a lot of people get seasick their first time. But I’m sure that’s not a problem in space.”

“Cosmic hysteria is worse.” The commander muttered.

“A bit green about the gills there. Do you want e to get you a bag.”

The commander frowned, but didn’t open his eyes.

“I thought you were a fighter pilot, shouldn’t you be immune to motion sickness.”

The human was teasing him, but commander Vir felt to sick to respond. He was very much determined to keep his lunch down, but knew that was going to be a losing battle. 

He could hear the sailors laughing as he bolted upright and sprinted to the edge of the deck mouth salivating so badly he was sure he was going to drip on his uniform.

Nothing was funnier to the crew than a member of the brass who couldn’t hold in his lunch on a ship.

Krill personally found a couple of things interesting, number one being the ardent glee that the other humans experienced upon watching the suffering of another. It seemed to be a common theme in humans, enjoying watching someone in power over you get what they deserve It seemed to make underlings feel superior in some way where they normally wouldn't. Through their ribbing was generally light-hearted and nothing worse beyond that.

Second being the human’s strange ability to become sick because of unpredictable rocking motions. He had never seen an alien with that issue, though, upon looking into it with the crew physician, he learned that humans, while having the best sense of kinesthetic awareness out of most of the species, that had to do with the placement of liquid inside the ear canal that moved with the movement of the head.

Constant movement that was in contradiction to the movement of the eyes, or caused the sloshing to become confused inside the ears could cause a reaction in the brain that simulated poisoning.

You see one of the first signs of neurotoxin is dizziness and the body responds with nausea. When movement causes the fluid in the ears to become jumbled and confused, the rain interprets this in the same way and responds with nausea.

Quite fascinating, and Krill couldn’t help feel his own sense of satisfaction knowing he couldnt get seasick.

Although he was ore than happy to get off this moving metal tube of death.

Leave it to humans to figure out a way to make metal float and then decide to spend days at a time on it.

Humans who loved large bodies of water were insane.

Though most humans were insane he supposed

Request: Can I request a Dreamcatcher scenario for Dami, where y/n is a member of another girl group and is known to have a crush on Dami, so one day at an award show her members find Dami and bring her to y/n which results in y/n blushing and stuttering like crazy but little did her members know that Dami actually liked her back and ends up asking her out. Award show season was in full swing and your group had been invited to the Golden Disk Awards. This was one of the biggest music shows you could be invited to. Your group was still fairly new, only having debuted 18 months ago. Despite this the 7 of you have broke more records than any other group in the entire industry.

The seven of you sat in the van, talking amongst yourselves. “So are you excited? I cant believe Im gonna see Twice and IZ*ONE in the same place!!” Your maknae, Jian, bounced up and down excitedly.

From the front of the van one of your other members shouted “I BET Y/N IS EXCITED THAT DREAMCATCHER WILL BE THERE! ARENT YOU Y/N?” Sending a glare her way you responded “I’m not just excited to see them, Loona will be there too...plus IDLE.”

“Yeah but you loveeeeee Dami. It’s always “she’s so hot” “can i marry her!”Jian laughed as she imitated your voice.

Pushing her on the arm you scolded “oh hush up that’s not true! And if anything you’re all over Wonyoung. Everytime you see her you’re always like “she’s so beautiful I want her number!!”

Your members continued to tease you about the huge crush you had on Dami, while you did your best to tune them out.

When you all arrived you felt the nerves set in. Although you didn’t exactly know if you were going to meet anyone, you were going to see some of your favorite idols up close.

Walking the red carpet was fine, you didn’t fall and embarrass yourself like you thought you would. The talking part of interviews were handled by the older members much to your relief as well.

However you went into a full panic when you realized your group was sitting directly next to Dreamcatcher. Your sunbaes were already in their seats when you arrived and the only way to get to your seats, was to walk past them. Like directly in front of them.

Your eyes locked on Dami as your members slowly filed through. Quickly you looked away before she was able to catch you staring. All of your members were clearly trying to stifle their laughter as they could tell by your silence that you were in fact panicking inside. Approaching JiU you smiled, trying your best not to look scared and star struck all at the same time. A small giggle left her lips and what sounded like a “cute” filled your ears as she saw the iron grip you had on Jian’s hand.

As you passed Dami you absolutely avoided all eye contact. Out of the corner of your eye you noticed the way her eyes followed you until you sat down with your group. For the first hour you could feel her eyes on you.

“I have to pee...come with me at the next break please.” Jian whispered to you, her leg bouncing on the ground indicating that she’d been trying to hold off on getting up for a while.

You responded “can’t you ask one of the others....i don’t wanna walk past-”

Jian whined “please please...just come on. I can’t go alone.” At times like this you were reminded that although she was in a group full of legal adults, she was still the baby.

She puppy eyed you and just like that you gave in. After five minutes there was finally a fifteen minute break as camera crews moved around and started to get ready for the next performances.

Jian immediately got up, practically sprinting past Dreamcatcher to get to the bathroom. You sighed deeply realizing that you’d have to pass your seven idols, one of them being your crush, alone.

You just decided to rip off the bandage and walk over, knowing your leader would get upset if you let the 15 year old out of sight by herself.

Doing your best to not step on them given the small amount of space. With a smile they moved out of the way for you, Siyeon stopping you to tell you how beautiful you looked.

When you made it to the bathroom Jian was already finished and washing her hands. You decided to just go ahead and use the bathroom as well, knowing the awards show wouldn’t have another break for a while.

When you came out of the stall Jian was fixing her hair and dress making sure she looked good as you washed your hands. As you dried you hands she stepped in front of you to open the door, giggling softly to herself as she waited for you to walk out.

The two of you started walking back down the hallways towards the stairs which led back to the open arena. Just as you both turned the corner and started walking down the stairs you felt yourself trip. Jian didn’t react fast enough to catch you, but luckily someone else did.

“Are you okay?” The person holding you asked. Your eyes widened realizing who the voice belonged to before even looking up. Internally you hoped and prayed it wasn’t who you thought it would be. But the second you made eye contact, you saw it was her.

You stared at her for a moment before she nodded her head prompting you for an answer. Hoping you didn’t sound stupid you asked “I’m sorry what?” She smiled and said “I asked if you were okay.”

You tried your best to put together a sentence but all the cane out was “i’m- you know uh uh yes just- i mean...um. Yes.”

Now was when you realized not only you were still holding onto her, one arm draped over her shoulder. But she also had a hand placed on your waist, the other on the small of your back.

The two of you just stood there not saying anything, just looking at each other. Jian craned her neck down the stairwell before shouting to someone who was a few steps behind Dami.

“Yuna?! Oh my gosh let’s catch up!” Jian ran down the stairs excitedly to meet her schoolmate. The girl called back up “Y/N just hang out with Dami, I’ll see you later!” Her excited shouts snapped you out of your trance.

“I’m so sorry I’m just gonna-” You turned to leave thinking you’d embarrassed yourself enough. Dami grabbed yourself arm, “wait, come with me we have ten more minutes.”

Not wanting to be rude you smiled softly and allowed her to take your hand as she guided you back upstairs. She linked arms with you as you both wandered the empty hallways. Once you warmed up to her you found yourself less nervous, talking about whatever popped into your minds.

When the two of you returned to your seats all of your members were quick to bombard you with questions. You just smiled to yourself deciding not to tell them anything.

Occasionally you looked over in Dami’s direction, stealing glances of the girl. Sometimes you caught her staring at you, resulting in the two of you laughing at each other.

The award show had just ended and cameras stopped rolling. Jian had been taken home with the other minors, as it was well past their curfew. But judging by the text messages she sent you, she met Wonyoung and got her number as she’d hoped for.

Two of your members ran off to go meet Loona and (G)I-DLE. While the rest of your members, along with you, went to talk to Dreamcatcher.

Right as you were about to talk to Dami you felt someone grab your arm and pull you back. Giving the girl an apologetic look you turned around diverting yourself attention to someone else.

One of your members, Haeun, excitedly stood in front of you, “I just met Hyunjin! She was so nice Y/N! And I met Heejin and I got Chuu’s number, she wants to be friends with me. And Vivi...she’s so pretty like I knew she was pretty but in person Y/N you have to come see the-”

Haeun stopped rambling when she noticed Dami standing behind you. Her eyes widened as she asked “oh! I’m sorry....oouuu look at you! Okay bye.” She turned you back around and pushed you a little to hard, making you stumble into Dami’s arms for the second time tonight.

“You just keep falling for me huh?” She asked with a smirk.

Standing up you tried to hide your blush “yeah...sorry about that...”

Dami placed a hand on your arm, “its okay...i’ll catch you everytime.”

Covering your hands with your face you tried to hide the fact that her comment made you smile like an idiot. “Just remind me I owe you next time you see me, hmm?”

She responded “I know how you can repay me....”

Her hand dropped down so she was now holding yours, her thumb grazing the top of your knuckles.

A blush creeped onto your face as you raised an eyebrow in response.

“I want your number.” She stepped closer to you so only you could hear her next words, “and I want to take you out. Sound good?”

All you could do was nod before putting your contact into her phone. She glanced at the screen before laughing to herself at your contact Y/N 🎀✨

“Dami we have to go.” JiU called for her, waving for her to come over to the rest of her members.

She looked back at you and said with a smile “I’ll text you later, see you around cutie.”

I adore these characters so much bc theyre so real?? Lke we truly watch them grow up. Something about the way 11y/o Ginny covers her face and runs away vs how she acts in the later books just. I adore it. 

So this is where I broke my own heart and froze for a solid 15 minutes. I was beginning to write “I hope the twins sang ‘His Eyes Are As Green As A Fresh Pickled Toad’ at their wedding” before I realized that only one twin got to attend Harry & Ginny’s wedding. I trailed off at the S in twins and you can see how shaky my hand got in the writing (i wrote all of this out in a journal)

Riddle’s personality is so well preserved. (and then I remembered that he made his first horcrux that year and THATS why bc this is 16/17 y/o voldy’s soul)

In Riddle’s memory, he stops by the potions room after speaking to Dumbledore on the staircase. Slughorn is teaching that year. Harry says he is stuck outside that room for “what felt like an hour.” Is this where Tom asks about horcruxes? Technically at this point, Myrtle has already been murdered and its been a while but I’m p sure he asks about horcruxes after class one day. But idk. It really seems plausible, and It’s possible that he altered the memory to show Harry...

this is my least favorite book so i just wrote “this is the most boring book. I’m skimming.”

FIRST CHAPTER | PREVIOUS CHAPTER

“And then Regina was like ‘what? I don’t have a crush on Logan!’ which is super silly ‘cos they’re so obvious and she’s told me that she likes Lo so many times!” Patricia rambled on.  

“Mmm,” Virginia hummed in agreement; she was painting Patricia’s nails with a pretty, dark purple nail polish. “It is pretty silly.”

It was Sunday, and they were currently at Virge’s house, in her room, sat together on her bed.

“Yeah!” Patricia blew a raspberry.  

Virge tapped her girlfriend’s knee. “Stop moving, you’re gonna mess up your nails.”

“Oh, sorry, honey!” Pat stopped moving. “Anyway, Logan totally likes her back, right? I mean, she’s basically told us. And Dee and Rena, too! They’re super-duper in love, I just wanna take their faces and smush them together until they get married and live happily ever after!”

“As entertaining as that would be,” Virge said, finishing Patricia’s left hand and moved to the right one. “We shouldn’t meddle. Let them deal with their own shit.”

Patricia tutted lightly. “Language.”

“Sorry, sorry,” Virge said. She examined her own nails – pastel blue, painted by Pat earlier – double checking that they hadn’t been damaged, though they were already dry. “You know I’m right, though. You’re always telling me not to interfere, no matter how often I want to tell them. They’ll figure it out on their own.”

Pat sighed. “Yeah, I know.” She then giggled. “Doesn’t mean we can’t still complain, though.”

Virginia hummed in agreement again, and the two sat in comfortable silence for almost a minute, as Virge finished painting Pat��s nails. Once she was done, the pigtailed girl looked over her hands appreciatively.

“Yay! Now my nails are your favourite colour and your nails are mine! It’s perfect!” Patricia giggled, beaming.

Her girlfriend gave her a small smile. “You’re adorable.”

Patricia giggled again, softly, a light blush on her cheeks. She leant forward, careful not to smudge either of their nails, pressing a kiss to the tip of her girlfriend’s nose. Virge waited a few moments, watching her girlfriend adoringly, before she pounced, the shorter girl falling back on the bed, the taller almost on top of her.  

Pat spluttered with laughter as Virginia tickled her sides, the purple-haired girl grinning mischievously as she did so.

“Ah, Virge!” Patricia exclaimed between laughter. “You’re gonna- you're gonna make me mess up my nail polish!”

Virginia finally stopped the onslaught of tickling, pushing herself up so she was hovering over her girlfriend, and shaking her head to get her hair out of her eyes.  

Patricia wrapped her arms around her girlfriend’s neck, pulling her down to kiss her properly and closing her eyes.  

Virge kissed her back eagerly, her hands at her girlfriend’s waist. Pat’s lips were soft, as usual, and tasted vaguely sweet, like strawberries – she switched up the flavour regularly, so it was always a bit of a surprise. Virge’s lips, by contrast, were always slightly chapped, as she tended to chew them when she was especially anxious, but, in Patricia’s opinion, that didn’t make kissing her any less enjoyable.

“Ewwwwww!”

The two teenagers pulled apart immediately, their heads turning sharply to face the door, which was now open. Virginia’s eleven-year-old sister, Anne, was standing in the doorway, making a grossed-out face. She was wearing one of her sister’s old black-and-grey hoodies, and she had eyeshadow smudged under both eyes – she'd never admit it, but she was absolutely copying her older sister’s style.

“Get out my room!” Virge screeched, turning red. She sat up and grabbed one of her pillows, chucking it at her sister.

Anne dodged the purple projectile and ran off, laughing. “Mom, Virge and Pat are kissing again!”

“Leave them alone, Dear,” Emily half-scolded from across the hallway, though she was still smiling pleasantly. This was honestly the harshest she ever got with her daughters. She walked up to Virginia’s bedroom door and gave the two blushing teens a slightly apologetic smile. “Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do,” She teased, shutting the door.

“Mom!” Virge whined, before turning back to her girlfriend. “I’m sorry my sister’s such a brat.”

Patricia poked her shoulder teasingly. “Don’t be mean.”

Virge rolled her eyes, but pressed a reassuring kiss to her girlfriend’s forehead. “I’m not being mean; this is just what it’s like having a sister. Ask Regina or Rena, I’m sure they’d agree.”

Pat pouted a little at that. “I wish I had a sister. You’ve got Anne, and you’ll probably have Dee, too, soon.”

“You can bond with Logan about it, I guess,” Virginia shrugged.

The pigtailed girl gasped, her eyes brightening. “Logan can be my sister, then!” She pulled out her phone, careful not to mes sup her nail . “I’m gonna go tell her, right now.”

“This won’t end well,” Virge said dryly, rolling her eyes.

Patricia hummed quietly in agreement, her brow creased. “I wish they wouldn’t argue so much, it makes me sad.”

Her girlfriend opened her mouth to respond, but she was cut off by the bedroom door opening again. They both turned and watched as Emily stepped inside, giving them a smile.

“Patricia, your moms are here.”

“Oh, okay!” Patricia pocketed her phone and wiggled out of her girlfriend’s lap, jumping up and stretching. She took a step in the direction of the door, before pausing. She glanced up at her girlfriend’s mom with a slightly sheepish look. “Um, do you think at some point you’d be able to help explain the chosen one stuff to my moms? I’d like to tell them, but I’m not sure they’d believe me straight away.”

Emily’s expression softened; she put her hand on Pat’s shoulder supportively. “Of course, dear. In fact, I’m having dinner with Harriet on Wednesday. Would you like me to tell her then?”

“Yes, please! That would be super helpful, thank you!” Patricia beamed. She then turned on her heel, back to her girlfriend, and leant forward to kiss her quickly. “Bye, Honey! I love you so much!”

“Love you, too, Pat,” Virge responded softly, a little embarrassed that her mom was there to witness this, but still smiling slightly.

Chapter 4

Today was a Rhodey and you kinda day.

Your dad had some business trip to attend to where he couldn't take you with him. So instead of being quiet and polite with a bunch of strangers, you were loud and polite with Rhodey.

You had stayed over at Rhodeys several times with Tony but never alone. So both men were anxious to see how you'd manage.

It's only been two hours since Tony had dropped you off and you had been greatly entertained by your uncle the whole time. Playing with toys and building blocks. He even told you a funny story about your dad getting his head stuck somewhere while they were in college together. There really wasn't anything funnier than that story and the pictures to go along with it in your 3 and a half year old mind.

Rhodey looked up at the clock on the wall before turning back to you.

"Let's stop playing." He said standing up. "We need to buy some groceries before we get hungry,"

You, although reluctantly, began to put your toys away. You had brought all your favourite toys with you so you wouldn't get bored while staying over. Though Rhodey would never let that happen. Within a few minutes you were dressed and strapped into the car seat in Rhodeys pretty little vehicle.

It wasn't really what you were used to. Your father had either really well maintained old cars or rather new high tech expensive cars. So sitting in a well aged small car that isnt extremely uncommon to see driving around town was different but not at all in a bad way.

Rhodey threw a big shopping bag in the back and started the car up. Pulling out of his driveway for the short trip down to the nearby supermarket.

You were more interested in the scenery you passed than talking so Rhodey put on some music and strummed along to the beat on his steering wheel. You started listening to the quieter tunes that you're used to. Your dad had a slightly different taste in music than the songs that were playing.

"So, what do you wanna eat?" Rhodey asked driving around a corner.

"I'm not hungry." You turned to him a slightly confused look on your face. Rhodey chuckled.

"I mean when you're hungry, buddy. What would you like to eat then," he clarified.

You thought for a moment. "Pizza! I want pizza,"

"What kind?" He asked pulling into the parking lot.

"The one I always eat." You pulled at your seat straps still not fully knowing how to unclasp them on your own. Rhodey reached over and opened them for you.

You jumped out the car, with a lot of effort, before he could stop you. "I can show you!"

Rhodey just nodded and followed you out.

You tried to pull out the cart yourself but it was still connected to the other one with those little seatbelt like clips. You took the coin your uncle was holding out and put it in the thing that let's the cart go from the other one. Once the cart was out you were placed in the seat and your store adventure could begin.

You kicked your legs about and looked in every direction as you were pushed through the store. As you were passing the candy isle you looked long at a bag of gummy worms. They were one of the few candies you had been allowed to get and your absolute favourite.

"Uncle Rhodey I want gummy worms." You said pointing at the colourful bag of artificial worms.

"I don't know sweetie. I don't think you asked all that nicely for them." Rhodey replied to your plea. Scratching his chin like he was deep in thought.

"Can I pweeeease have gummy worms?" You tried again drawing out the please and using your "I am a cute and innocent child which only desire in this cold cruel world is this small cheap bag of precious gummy worms"-voice.

Rhodey chuckled and handed you the bag with an "Alright alright".

You didn't go to stores a lot so everything was very fascinating. And needed to be explored and asked about.

"What's that?" You asked now pointing at a big display of raw meat.

"That's meat," Rhodey answered "We actually need some." He reached in and grabbed a big piece of meat indistinguishable from the other meats to your young eyes.

"For what?"

"Dinner tommorow."

You nodded and moved on to ask another question about another thing.

Everything went smoothly from then on out. You showed him which of the pizza's you liked the most and answered whether or not you wanted some apples. All was well until you passed a big tank of lobsters.

You let out a big gasp as you saw the both big and small animals sitting together in the bare tank.

"Look uncle Rhodey! Crabs!"

"Those are Lobsters. They're really big arent they?"

"Yes! Can I have one?" You asked without looking away from the tank. Rhodey frowned.

"Since when do you eat lobster?" Your head snapped back in Rhodeys direction at the speed of light.

"NO not for eating! It's for pets!"

"You want to pet a lobster?"

"Yes! And keep it!"

Rhodey was stunned silent for a moment.

"Y/n, you can't have a pet lobster. They're sold here for people to buy and eat them."

Not even a few seconds later after Rhodey had said those words he regretted them. Your eyes first grew big and then your lower lip started to quiver. And that was when Rhodey knew he fucked up big time.

Within a second you were crying loudly about how people can't eat the lobsters because you love them while Rhodey was desperately trying to calm you down. People were starting to stare and Rhodey could feel every single gaze on him.

He then suggested something he would have to thoroughly explain to your father later.

"Y/n, kid, listen. I need you to calm down. I promise you that none of there lobsters will be eaten okay? I'll talk to your dad about getting you one of them. But you have to behave," he explained having placed his hands on your much smaller shoulders. Without much fuss you stopped crying. It made sense to you that your dad would save the lobsters. He is a great person after all.

You were okay with that and even helped your uncle place the items on the conveyor belt and back into the cart once you were done shopping.

With a sweet smile you handed the nice cashier lady the money and she gave you a piece of her chocolate.

You thanked her and waved her goodbye as you left the store.

All the way back to Rhodeys house you were in a happy mood thinking about how you'll soon get a pet lobster if you behave. Oh and you'll behave. You'll behave so good that no one will think that you were even capable of misbehaving. As least until you had your lobster.

On the drive home Rhodey made a call to a very confused Tony Stark about the possibility of getting Stark Jr. a pet Lobster.

Later around the same time as you were helping Rhodey unpack the groceries your dad was frantically researching on how to care for a lobster and how long they lived the same with how much space they need and more. He even called a zoo and a lobster farm.

He'd organize the build of a tank for a crayfish, a big one. You won't be able to tell the difference until you were much older and did some research yourself.

But you'll never eat a lobster, or any crustacean for that matter, until your eventual demise.

The rest of the day went by without a problem. You helped your uncle with everything you could, cooking, cleaning, washing dishes and doing the bed were all completed with the clumsy help of a 3 year old.

You crawled under the covers next to Rhodey, insisting on sleeping in the same bed. During the night you kicked him several times and somehow ended up with your feet on the pillow while the rest of your body was hidden beneath the covers.

The second day of your week long vacation was not all that different than the first. You played together inside and outside, cooked, ate and then sat down to watch some DvDs before your afternoon nap. A mistake as the series Rhodey turned on hyped you up incredibly. It was the first episode of "The Incredible Adventures of Captain Magic". You had never before watched this series but your young mind was hooked in an instant.

The episode was all about how she became a super hero, introducing herself and her friends. Your mouth couldn't have hung open any wider. The second the episode was over you started jumping around in excitement. Holy heck that was too cool for your young mind to comprehend. You started fighting villains no one could see and Rhodey couldn't get you to fall asleep for another hour. He himself was incredibly tired at that point.

The next two days you wouldn't shut up about how cool and strong Captain Magic is. Rhodey didn't say anything discouraging about it. Though it was clear to him that the hero was obviously heavily leaned on Captain America. Not that you'd know who that was.

Friday, Rhodey suggested a trip to get you off your Captain Magic high.

"Where are we going?" You asked kicking your legs and clutching the tiny backpack you had taken with you.

"Its a surprise. But you'll like it I promise,"

You nodded and turned back to look out the window.

"Look look a puppy!" You excitedly pointed out a few minutes later.

As Rhodeys car pulled to a stop you looked around with squinted eyes having almost fallen asleep.

"We've arrived."

"I know this?" You mumbled a bit dissapointed. You had visited Rhodey while he was working numerous times in the past. This wasn't anything exciting.

"Yeah you do, but I bet you've never sat in a jet before!"

"What!" You screeched and jumped around happily in your seat waiting on your restraints to be opened.

Rhodey greeted a few people on your way to the hanger. Some people seemed surprised while others knew about his plans.

The hanger was empty of any people but stored several huuuuge jets. You shouted "Hello!" and "AAAAH" Into the hall to hear it echo back.

"Is this cool or what?!" Rhodey said marching towards one of the planes which had a staircase ladder thing next to it.

"SO COOL!" you screeched running around and under the planes. Rhodey called you over and threw you on his shoulder while he carried you up to the now opened jet and place you inside. It was like sitting in the driver seat of a parked car, just ten times cooler.

You asked a thousand questions about the planes and Rhodey was happy to answer all of them.

"What's that?" You said pointing at another switch over your head.

"Uhh it's," Rhodey leaned closer to get a better look at what you're pointing, "it's switches all the communication on an-"

"And that?" You said pointing at another thing not letting him finish.

This went on like that for about 10 minutes before you started your fake flight. Even getting to wear the headset which was a few numbers to big for you. Your uncle took a few pictures while you were playing which he'd later send to Tony.

You didn't get bored for a full hour, you were so enthralled with making little noises and flicking on and off switches (which all did nothing) that you didnt even notice that Rhodey got himself a cup of coffee and was talking with some strangers now instead of standing on the rolling staircase next to you.

The rest of the trip you got shown around by Rhodey and introduced to a few of his colleagues.

31 Day Angst Challenge

Day 1: Grief

So I'm trying this challenge for April. I'm using my character Sylvia "Silver" Nightengale, from my Riverdale Fanfic. I haven't actually though of a title yet.

Anyway this is actually one of the scenes I'm working on but I switched some things around so that it fits better and doesn't give away too much of the story.

Silver walked into Frankie's room and put her stuff on the bed. She almost collasped onto the bed. It had been a long few days, and she was exhausted.

Percy had known something was wrong, and he had tried so hard to make her smile for her birthday. It had taken every ounce of control she had not to burst into tears at the cake and presents her family had given her. Even Andromeda had been nice.

And when the package had shown up...

She had smiled and lied through her teeth. Then she had thrown it in the closet.

It had been from Tony.

Silver held her face in her hands and tried to focus on her breathing. But something caught her eye.

It was a box. The lid wasn't fully closed and she could see a picture. She eased off the bed and sank to her knees. Oh so carefully she pick it up out of the box. It was Jinx Tony and Frankie smiling at the camera sitting on the couch in the living room. Frankie was younger. They all were.

She was so wrapped up in the picture she didn't hear Frankie come in. "Silver what are you doing?!"

Silver jumped. "I-I- Oh god Franks I'm so sorry I saw the picture and I... just... I didn't look at any thing else I swear Franks! But I saw it and I..." Her eyes went back to the picture. "I forgot. I can't believe it but... I forgot... what colour Jinx's eyes were."

Frankie blinked. She had forgotten too.

That Andromeda had burned all of Silvers treasures. Silver laughed sadly. "I don't have any pictures of them. And I forgot..." tears that she had been holding in for days began to fall. "I'll probably forget what Tony looked like too. Eventually."

Frankie just looked at her friend. She had no idea what to say. So instead she hugged Silver. "It's okay." She crooned softly, soothingly. "It's just kinda private. I forgot to put it away. You can look through the rest of the pictures if you want. I was just suprised. I'm sorry."

Silver pulled away and shook her head. "No, I'm sorry I should have known better I just... I saw it there and..." She wiped at her eyes which had dried almost instantly. "I'm just kinda out of it I guess."

"Silver..."

"Um, so, do you uh, are you sure you're okay with me snooping through your pictures?" She smiled and turned back to the box.

Frankie looked at Silver sadly. It was obvious she was dying over what happened but she was trying to keep it together in front of all of them. Had she cried once since that night? Frankie didn't think so. It hurt to watch. But if she said anything, it would start a fight. And that was the last thing they needed.

"Silver?"

"Uh-huh,"

"I'm fine. Really Frankie."

Frankie almost snorted. Silver certainly didn't look fine. She looked haggard. As if she hadn't slept or even eaten in days.

"I-" Silver shook her head refusing to look Frankie "I feel like if I break now... if I start crying... I don't think I'll be able to stop."

"Silver..." Frankie started then she looked at the picture she was still holding in her hands. "Do you mind, can I ask?"

"Yeah?"

"When Sky and Dani... did it feel like this?" Frankie whispered. Silver saw the look on Frankie's face and this time it was Silver who pulled Frankie in for a hug. "Yeah. It felt exactly like this." Silver's voice cracked. "I'm so sorry Frankie. I'm so sorry."

Frankie squeezed Silver so hard she thought she heard her ribs creaking, but she didn't care.

Silver pulled away when she hear the front door slam.

"That's probably Louis."

Silver heard him coming up the stairs. "I'll... I need some air. You... you two can talk. I'll be back."

"You don't have to go." Frankie told her.Silver smiled. But Frankie could see the cracks starting.

Silver almost ran into Louis in the hall. "Sylvia?"

And she just looked..." Frankie shook her head and wrapped her arms around herself. "Andromeda burned everything. Silver doesn't have any pictures of Jinx or Tony or Sky and Dani. All their presents are gone. She just has the colouring page that she gave Tony and Jinx when they first met and a picture of her Sky and Dani that she kept in her wallet. So... I thought..."

"Maybe it would help?" Louis supplied.

"She really did love him Louis. As much as we did. Maybe more. And she won't- she said she can't... She break or she won't stop and... I don't know what to do Louis! She's my best friend and I don't know how to help! She's trying to make sure the rest of us are okay but she..."

"I'll go talk to her." Louis said.Frankie gave him an incredulous look. "But-"

"Yeah I know I haven't exactly been team Silver, but she's your friend and I know Tony..." Louis ran a hand through his hair and sighed. "Tony would murder me if I didn't do something to help her. He cared too much about the both of you for me to let you guys spiral."

Frankie was shocked. "Thank you."

"You're my sister Franks. It's kinda my job to help you out. And right now that means helping Sylvia."

Louis turned and walked out.

Frankie sat and looked at the pictures in her special box. The pictures were old. Silver would probably have some more recent pictures of Tony. Pictures of Tony after Jinx. After joining the Ghoulies. Frankie wondered if Silver had any picture of him smiling. Probably not. Frankie looked at her precious memories. The things and keepsakes she had to remember Tony and Jinx by. Silver didn't have that anymore. And now none of them had Tony.

Frankie laid down on the floor and cried.

Louis found her on the back porch. Her knees were hugged up to her chest, her head tilted up, staring at the stars.

"Do you think he's watching?" She asked not turning. "Do you think... he's mad at me?" Sylvia paused. "For not crying I mean."

Louis sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "I think he'd be sad. To see you like this." Louis said. He walked over and sat down beside her. "I think he'd be proud. That you're trying to keep it together for the rest of us. But I think... you'd break his heart."

Sylvia nodded then burried her face in her knees. "I'm being stupid arent I? Xander's probably fighting to keep his head above water, Frankie probably blames herself, and you..." Louis looked at Sylvia, and he saw something. Something Tony had probably seen the whole time. The girl was barely seventeen. Still a kid. He kept forgetting. Frankie was always a baby in his eyes. Silver was only a couple months older than his baby sister. So why did she always seem... old?

She didn't now. For once. For the first time. She looked exactly like a seventeen year old kid that just got her world imploded.

"I'm... sorry, Louis." Her head lifted, and Louis finally knew what Tony was talking about. Even after Romi, there had been fire in Sylvia's eyes. It wasn't there now. And it hurt.

She looked at him. "Everything. Nothing. Falling apart. Keeping it together." She leaned back and looked at the stars. "I'm just sorry."

There was a brief pause as Louis considered what to say. Then he thought screw and told her what was on his mind.

"I think he's with Jinx. I think he's telling Jinx how good you grew up to be. I think they're looking as and yelling at us for being stupid. I think..." He looked at her.

"I think, Sky and Dani are with them. And they've yelling for awhile." A tear rolled down her cheek. "I think I'm not okay. I think... I'll never be okay again. Because they're gone and I can't fix it. I think... I don't care how mad they'd be, but I'd trade my life to bring them back. I think... I don't want him to be gone. And I want him back."

"I think I do too." Louis said. "Here." He held a picture out to her. "Think of it as a belated birthday present." Gingerly she took the picture from him.

The sound that left her was half laugh, half sob. "Oh my God!" She gave him a shaky smile. "I can't believe they- Oh god! That's the night I told them I had a crush on Skylar."

"Yeah, Jinx told me. I don't think I've ever laughed as hard as when he showed me that picture. It took me until you got shot to realize you were the same kid."

She cut a sideways glance at him. "I haven't changed that much."

Louis shook his head. "You looked six in this. I don't think I ever saw you look that much like-" he stopped and came up with a better way to say it. "You always seemed so much older than you were. I never got to see you look like a little kid."

Sylvia's arms wrapped back around her knees again. "I didn't have much of choice, you know." She said. "When I was at the bar with them, or when I was with Sky and Dani... I think those were really the only times I got to be a kid. Everyone else was always telling me to grow up."

Sylvia looked out at the backyard again. "Do you... the funeral, I mean- have his parents said anything?"

Louis shook his head. "They aren't. Going to have one. They're just gonna have him cremated and have the ashes scattered up at Sweetwater river."

Sylvia's head whipped towards him. "What? But they can't- they can't just-"

"I'm going to talk with my dad." Louis said, his hand curling into a fist. "If I have to pay for the funeral myself, I'll do it. He deserved that much." Louis shook his head. "He deserved more. From me." Louis let out a breath. "I just need dad to convince them to let me. I don't have much saved but..."

"I'll help." Sylvia said. "Anyway I can. I have some money saved. He helped me so much it... it's the least I could do for him. I just... I couldn't stand it Louis. If that's all he got."

"No Sil. I'm not gonna take your money. I wouldn't be able to face Tony in the end if I did." Sylvia's head snapped up to look at him. "I understand, wanting to do this for him. You'd do it all by yourself if you could. I know you would. But I want you to save that cash. Save it for collage. To get out of this town. To run and never look back. That's what he wanted for you, you know."

"He wouldn't. But he wanted you to get out of here. This town, it would kill that fire you had. And more than anything, that light, was what he never wanted you to loose. He wanted you to get out.
