so i'm rereading trc with my friend and we're currently on bllb and i just read chapter 30 and in it blue's asking malory what gansey used to be like before he moved to henrietta and the gansey that malory describes to blue is so different from the gansey she currently knows and i just cant stop thinking about it.

first off, malory describes gansey as "small" as in not just his height but as in gansey was young and it makes sense because at the time gansey was 15 but it just kind of does something to my heart when i think about young, small gansey trying to figure out why he's still alive.

malory then goes on to say, "He was still trying to prove that he hadn't just hallucinated. He was still quite obsessed with the event [his death] itself." gansey first died when he was 10 and to be obsessing over your death for FIVE years trying to convince others but mostly yourself that you didn't make it up that you actually died and not some part of a childs imagination it must've fucked with him so bad???

it's so very easy to pass off ganseys insecurities and his feelings about how he should comfort other people but they shouldn't do the same for him because he's had it the easiest (his words not mine) because he himself skips over it so fast. like he'll mention something and then act like he's never thought or said it, like its something normal which really isnt and then it slowly makes sense that gansey throughout the series, starts to lose that mask (there's multiple masks but thats a conversation for another time) and the readers and the gangsey get to see what the real gansey is like instead of the bulletproof, untouchable gansey they're used to seeing.

the idea of gansey running is insane in a good way because its nothing like the gansey we know, plus paired with the fact about how young gansey has me clawing at the walls because he's just this kid desperate to prove he wasn't hallucinating, trying to find some purpose to his life before he finds it in henrietta. a kid who was still terrified of his death who relived it, screaming every night who still had panic attacks anywhere and everywhere and would end up clawing at himself because there's hornets everywhere. a kid who doesn't stay in one place too long who learns to put on an easy smile to convince everyone okay and gets so good at it that it works and people think that hes normal and okay when he's anything but.

Movie nights found you both ripping on the movie choice of the night, commenting almost through the whole thing and making claims of what you’d change, what he thinks would’ve been a smarter decision of the main characters, taking sides and arguing them whole heartedly as if the people in the films and their actions had a direct connection to your lives

Sometimes Rydal would come over while you were in the shower. Sometimes he’d join you, finding it hilarious that you thought he was a serial killer but soon distracting you by dropping to his knees for you.

Sleepovers found you either on opposite sides of the bed or breathing in each other’s skin, arms holding the other close, legs tangled. The nights you spent laying with him were usually the sweetest mornings. Sometimes he’d wake you up with kisses, borderline ticklish movements, not letting up even while you squealed for him to stop. He didn’t let up until he pulled peals and peals of laughter from you, sharing syrupy kisses after and causing early morning butterflies to stir as your heart swelled with affection.

These were extremely random and scatter brained and I’m sorry because I really should be sleeping but I love him so much and I miss him and I promise I’ll work on my WIP soon ❤️ love ya

Just watched Belle Époque and I recommend everyone to watch it

This is a movie made in 1992, set in 1931’s Spain, and it follows the story of Fernando, a young man who’s deserted from the army who ends up on the middle of the countryside with no place to stay, so he’s taken in by man (because they share similar political ideologies and he’s a good cook) and his four daughters. It doesn’t sound like much but god is it good.

-The characters are so funny, like the father of the sisters talks about how he hates than he was baptized as a kid because he hates the church, how he hates than he couldn’t join the army because of his bad feet, not because he wanted to join, but because then the choice to reject the offer and piss them off was no longer on the table, and how he hates than he can’t get it up unless with his wife, which means than no matter how much he wants to cheat, he can’t.

-The four sisters: One who’s a widow, one’s who’s in a relationship with a guy but does with him whatever she wants (first rejects him, then flirts, then rejects him again, etc), the younger who’s a virgin and who wants to date Fernando, and one who’s more masculine and super queer coded

-Seriously like, Violeta is so gay. She dresses in drag for a party (goes as a man) and then dresses Fernando in drag too (as a woman), then she kisses him but only when he’s dressed as a woman and refers to him in feminine terms (like she said “pero que guapa estas” [“you look so pretty”] and she used guapa [feminine] instead of guapo [masculine]) she also has a scene with her mother where her mother says she’s not fit for marriage, than what she needs is to find a girl who’ll love her and understand her and who’ll help her with the house.

-Also during the party mentioned above, a guy is flirting with Fernando (thinking he’s a girl) so she grabs a bottle and breaks it on his head. After this he tells her “you behaved like a real man” and she said “that’s because I am”. Then there’s a scene of her very sensually helping him put on one of his high heels he misplaced while running away from the whole conflict, and then kissing again and she touched his fake breasts then they slept together and it was possibly the gayest straight scene ever, they were still in drag and she kept on referring to him in feminine terms. This is her in drag vs her usually

-After their kiss he claims he’s in love and when he told her father he was like “oh I knew it which of the sisters is it?” and when he said Violeta everyone was SO SHOCKED because wdym Violeta?? The father tells him than that’s an impossible love, but he doesn’t elaborate, he just asks if he told her because he just can’t believe it, then Fernando talks about what happened the day before and his father at hearing than they slept together just goes around screaming “Miracle! This is a miracle!” because Violeta sleeping with a man??? That must be a miracle for sure. Then she rejects Roberto because what happened the other day happened no thinking about it and he complains than he wants to marry (damn boy calm down) and her father just looks at him and asks “how are you going to marry a man?” Like Violeta being referred as a man is a common occurrence, she calls herself “brother in law” etc. She also handles a rifle at one point.

-The whole movie is good but just for Violeta it’s enough to watch it

-It takes place before the republic, so they are in this ‘will the republic win’ ‘won’t it’ mentality

-Their mother is a singer and has an affair with her manager or smth and the father knows and couldn’t care less

-Everyone wants to fuck Fernando. And each time he sleeps with anyone he claims to be in love with them

-The boyfriend of one of the sisters wants to marry her but she rejects him first and he really wants to marry mostly to escape his overbearing mother. He tries everything, he tries turning his back to the church so his mom will disown him, he tries becoming republican (as in, in favor of the republic) because his gf says so, he’s just trying so hard.

-The set, like the places they used to film the movie are so pretty and realistic to the time.

I watched it in soap2day and while the audio is in Spanish, there do are English subtitles

yellow guy has a stuffed animal he got from roy when he was really young and now he literally cannot sleep with out it because he finds so much comfort in it, even if his father wasn't the best to him .

tony/clock gets annoyed when people don't know 24 hour time, like wdym you don't know what 16:45 is 🤨, the notepad/paige gets really annoyed when he speaks like that and ends up hitting him with comically large crayons .

colin/the computer over heats so quickly frfr, you open one tab and his monitor is literal hell fire .

tommy and lily used to have a pet dog, his name was charlie and he was a cocker spaniel .

the trio likes to rank things like foods allot so when they try something new they'll literally ask something like "how's it taste? from a scale of raw chicken picnic to black licorice" , they forget that not everyone knows the way the scale works .

when the coffin guy takes people alone to their death he makes sure to make them teat before he breaks the news, if they already don't know .

if someone offers to get the old train man hearing aids he beats them with the cane and screams about how he can't believe they're calling him old .

warren has horrible posture and has had back pain since he was a young teen .

dunkin hates when people make dunkin donuts jokes, and will bash them on the company website if they keep making them .

red guy had a long emo phase .

shrignold wears his religious robes around the house because he likes how it flows behind him and makes him look 'mysterious' .

red guy has the humor of a middle schooler and only laughs at the dumbest shit known to man, if duck asks what he's laughing about and red shows him. duck will literally shake his head, tsk, put his hands on his hips, then walk away.

duck thinks he's the father when he's actually the mother/hj .

duck only wears dramatic fluffy robes that flow behind him .

the trio brush their teeth together because if they don't they all forget .

Bruce tied his converse and let out a breath he walked out his room passing by his mother waving and telling her bye as he walked out the yamada residence home he stuffs his phone in his back left pocket making his way to the park he looked at his watch for the time 4:27 PM it read he sat down on the faded orangish red bench that was completely worn out from the previous years.

Glancing at his watch and his eyes scanning around the park waiting for the blond to show up Bruce hoped that Vance didn’t stand him up I mean it’s not a date but it’s still wrong as he was about to get up to leave after about 20 minutes Bruce was impatient sometimes

and he lets that get the best of him he sees the curly haired blond approaching him he let out a relived sigh slightly cracking a smile shocked to see something different about Vance he cut his hair ?! mouth wide open Bruce sat there looking at Vance in shock I didn’t look bad but he actually thought that Vance looked even better with his hair cut “What?” Bruce stood up looking at his hair “you cut your hair” Vance stared at Bruce for a minute making Bruce shift uncomfortably “Yeah I uh I got tired of it in my face so I cut it—“ “It looks good.” Vance looked at Bruce in his eyes “really? Sam is behind you, staring down at you and Tommy, solely focused at Tommy's face, he had a black eye, blood coming down his nose, tears in his eyes.

His eyes once filled with fire and determination, you stare as lifeless orbs stare up at you.

Eyes start to fog as tears spill and onto Tommy's face as you pull him to you once again into a hug and sob.

You had first lost Wilbur as he was murdered by your own Father and now you had lost Tommy as you tried protecting him from the brutality of this world but...

Sucking in a breath you let out a scream and cradle your dead brother's head as you caress his cheek.

Opening the door they open the lights in the living room then gently place down Tommy on your couch and went to grab a cloth to clean his blood and an ice pack to help his black eye.

You put the cloth back into the water basin and gingerly place the ice pack on his eye.

hearing a knock on your front door you stood up and went to answer it.

You come back to the living room with two glasses in hand, giving them to Techno and Phil.

"Techno." You say handing him his tea and "Here you go Dad! have some coffee since I remembered you didn't like drinking tea much." You say as you smile at him, he looks at you with somber eyes and take the mug from you after mumbling a 'thank you' .

"Ooh! I should look for the story book I always read to Tommy when he was little."

"A story book?" Phil says.

"Yup! I would always read it to him when he couldn't sleep and then sing him to sleep! I always did it so it became a routine because I didn't know what to do with Tommy when he didn't want to sleep." "You always knew what to do but you weren't around much so I barely had time to ask." You continued.

Phil wasn't much around with you, Tommy and Wilbur, he was always going on adventures to anywhere with Techno so basically Wilbur was always parenting you and Tommy but you helped him sometimes because you didn't want Wilbur having to deal with alot of things on his own all the time, he was a kid too.

"Are you going to sing it now?" Techno asked.

"Sure if you want me too!"

Techno and Phil didn't say anything and accepted your mourning, you took Tommy's death hard but you would have to face your brother's death soon but for now they'll let you be in your little bubble of euphoria for a while.

They understood why you were in obvious denial, Tommy was your younger brother only being three year older than him, Wilbur's death took a toll on you but Tommy's just made a gaping hole in your heart.

He kept you intact with the world, he was the light that shone through this cruel world that you guys live in.

It was like a solar eclipse had dawned upon you and you would never see the sunshine again.

It was a false sense of hope that Tommy would come back alive, but you were clearly in pain as you waited for Tommy to wake up.

But they needed to make it clear to you that..He's not waking up Y/n.

Next morning, Hanma expect to wake up with an empty but much to his surprise. He sees his princess still sleep soundly beside him. So peaceful, so adorable. He was going to take a pic but he was interrupted by loud ringing. He got up and put on a jacket and walks to the door to see Kisaki on his door.

“What a surprise seeing you here.”

“Is Y/N here?’’

“Um yes, After what u did last night of cause she’s here.”

“Can you please call her. Tell her I’m here to take her back home.”

“I’m already home.” You shout at Kisaki.

Wearing Hanma’s shirt. The shirt is loose enough to show all the hickeys that he left last night. You hug Hanma’s side and he smiles back with satisfaction.

“Wdym you’re home? Stop playing with me Y/N. I got things to do.” He said as he pulls you hand towards him but you yank him off.

“I said NO!”

“Y/N!”

“GO BACK TO YOUR BITCH HINA IF YOU MISS HER THAT MUCH!’’ you raise your voice to him. Kisaki’s jaw dropped. His once obedient bitch is now yelling back at him.

“Oh right, I forgot, she chose a rat over your ass.”

“I-“

“Now piss off, I got Hanma beside me. I don’t need your shrimp of a dick.” You said as you turn and leave.

“Y/N wait..” Hanma stop Kisaki from entering making him more pissed.

“I think she’s done with you bro.” Kisaki face is now as red as a tomato.

“I’ll talk about this with you in my office.” He said as he left.

Hanma rolls his eye and close the door. He turns around to smell the smell of fresh toast. He walks into the kitchen to see his lovely Y/N making breakfast for him. How sweet. He hugs her from behind and kiss your neck.

“Want some Breakfast?”

“Yes please.”

Okokok imagine Barbatos having a kid and Luke acting like a big brother to them all of their life. And like, lil kid is really oblivious to the obvious differences between them because the only examples they have of actual siblings are the brothers and they don't look alike AT ALL, not even the twins, so they spend their whole life thinking Luke is their bio brother.

And one day they ask Barbatos how was Luke as a baby or smt and Barbatos is like "idk, I didn't met him until he was *insert angel age that would be the equivalent of a 10 y/o boy*" and the kid is just like "wdym you didn't met him??? He is your son???" You were living with your friend in small apartment building, it was pretty old, but the apartments themselves were modernized. You and your roommate were the only ones on the floor, which was the highest and had only two apartments, because the two left were made in to a storages. “Y/N, I think we will have a new neighbors,” said Sasha. Sasha was from Russia with beautiful blue eyes and long brown hair and blonde ombré to it. “Huh, you mean someone finally rented that apartment next to us and is actually moving in?,” you asked not believing her. You didn’t really believe her because, everytime your landlord said, that the apartment next door is getting rented, they backed away last second, leaving the apartment free for over a year now. “Yes, Mr. Suh said that his grandson with his friend are moving in.. they are coming over from California to start anew or something,” she answered while putting away groceries. You just shrugged and helped her with preparing dinner.

Next morning you were woken up by banging noises from next door. “The FOK they doing in there!,” you yelled not happy with the noises in the morning. You came out of your room, finding Sasha casually drinking coffee, already dressed for uni. “Good morning to you too, sunshine,” she said to you with sweet smile, knowing you were pissed off. You scoffed at her and started eating breakfast she made for you. You went to get ready still mumbling curses to no one in particular.

Both of you made it in time to the uni and sat on your favourite spot. It was at the very back of the room no one sitting there, because no one liked that you couldn’t hear well. But you and Sasha preferred it exactly for that, you were alone in the row. Taking notes only from presentations tho. Lecture was starting soon, and two guys bursted in sprinting to the back sitting next to you and Sasha. You and Sasha looked at them confused, never seeing them before and not understanding why they were in such a rush. Then the professor came in taking all your and Sasha’s attention from the boys. An hour in to the lecture one of the boys, leaned in to Sasha and whispered something to her. You assumed to ask for notes from last lecture... aaaaand you were right because she handed him her notebook with notes. You heard deep thank you and just shook your head paying attention back to the lecture. 

Finally the lecture ended, so you were packing up. “Hey, thanks for the notes. We will give them back to you tomorrow,” you heard and looked up, seeing the taller boy talking to Sasha. Finally looked at his friend who had a tattoo on his neck. You stared at it a little bit, admiring the work and then looking away when you heard Sasha, “No it’s okay, you can take your time going through them. I am Sasha Glukhovska and this is Y/N Y/L/N,” and you just waved slightly. He smiled at you nodding his head, “I am Johnny Suh and this is Jaehyun Jung.” Suh? like your landlord Suh? , you thought then it hit you, “Oh, aren’t you the grandson of Mr. Suh owning the old apartment building with modernized apartments?,” you asked making Sasha realize the same thing. “Yeah, I am.. do you also live there?,” “Yeah... we will be next door neighbors it seems,” Sasha answered with small chuckle. You looked at Jaehyun for his reaction but he just had a poker face on his face. But his eyes were boring deep in to yours, as if searching for your soul to steal. “Wow, perfect, let’s see you around then, bye,” Johnny said with small smile walking away together with Jaehyun. “Who would have thought we would meet our neighbors at school,” Sasha chuckled while also walking away you behind her, her Russian accent present.

It was 7PM when you got home, Sasha dragging you to the shopping mall after lectures ended. You were tired as hell going straight to take a shower. “What should we get for dinner,” Sasha screamed at you through the bathroom door, “I don’t know. Order anything,” you yelled back while drying off and putting clothes on. When you got out Sasha went in, which meant you will be taking order. Twenty minutes of you chilling on the sofa reading a book, you heard a bell ringing, thinking it was food you stood up and went to the door. When you opened it you weren’t met with the delivery man, no. You were met with tattooed neck, chest and dark eyes. You looked at Jaehyun confused. “Hey, you need somethin’?,” you asked confusion strongly present in your voice. “Hey... uh... I came to ask for notes from classic literature.. I need them so I know what’s going on in that lecture..,” he said with his deep husky voice. “Oh, sure. But, y’kno... you could wear a shirt while coming here for notes,” you answered, laughing hard and turning around to get his notes, not seeing his reaction. ‘And you could wear sweats not the shortest shorts there are,’ he thought looking at your ass. You got back with the notes handing them over to him. “Thanks, baby girl,” he thanked you with a wink and went to his apartment. “Weirdo,” you said going back inside when the delivery man came with your take-out.

You were always meeting Johnny and Jaehyun at lectures, at the hall of your building or generally when going over to them to ask for something. Sasha and Johnny eventually got together. You found them cute together. And you started to have feelings for Jaehyun, which you tried to suppress, because you knew you weren’t his type. So you were just playing around, being his good friend he could rely on. But. Tonight. You wanted to kill them, tho. You get it, Friday, so party. But. You and Sasha told them repeatedly, to not host party this Friday, because both of you had to wake up early on Saturday to go on a train to visit Sasha’s parents. You were going to have BBQ party and you wanted to be in a good mood, which meant nice sleep. You were tossing around, trying to muffle all the noise from nextdoor. You’ve had enough, and went over to their place, after putting at least shorts on. When you went in, you automatically saw Jaehyun on the sofa with some girl on top of him, making out. You felt somehow sad and jealous when you saw them. But you shook your head, getting rid of the image, and went over to them tapping him on the shoulder softly and saying his name. He broke the kiss with girl, his eyes going wide upon seeing you standing there. “Y/N, what are you doing here?,” he said standing up leaving the girl on the sofa. She looked at you all annoyed and walked away. “Hey... I just.. I..- can’t you at least make less noise and put volume down on the music? We told you that we needed to get up early tomorrow for over three days...,” you said in soft, somehow, broken voice, not looking in to his eyes. “Shit. We thought you were going next week.. sorry, yeah I’ll find Johnny and send everyone home,” he tried to give you a small apologetic hug but you backed away only nodding your head, saying small thanks and walking away. When you got back in, tears started streaming down your face. You didn’t realize it, until Sasha came out of her room, also pissed off by the noise. But that anger went away the second she saw you silently crying. “Hey, angel, what’s wrong?,” she asked, rushing to hug you, “huh??,” you looked at her confused, “Why are you crying hm? What happened?” You didn’t answer, only crying harder in to her neck. You fell asleep in her bed, cuddling her. Sasha was still awake, thinking of what could’ve happened... and decided to text Johnny, if something happened to her when she went over to ask them to turn down the noise,

Saaasssha<3: hey, john what happened to y/n

JohnnyS<3: hm wdym

Saaasssha<3: she was crying till she fell asleep

The next day, you woke up after Sasha, who was in kitchen making a breakfast. “Mornin’,” you said with sleepy voice, sitting down. “Hey, uhm… Johnny and Jae are coming with us… my mom wants to meet Johnny and he doesn’t want to leave Jae alone for three days... ,” “Oh… okay… I mean it’s not like I have a saying in this..,” you answered, taking sip of your tea. After breakfast you went out to Johnny’s car, he said he will drive there so you don’t have to wake up early for a train. “Can I sit in the front? I feel sick in the back of car,” you asked with small voice, looking down and playing with hands. “Sure. Hope my girlfriend won’t be jealous,” Johnny joked, winking at Sasha while opening the door for you. “Pft, you know I don’t care that the two of you are close, but don’t cheat on me,” Sasha said and sit at the back next to Jae. The car ride was full of Johnny getting directions from Sasha, Jae singing to the radio and you being quiet, looking out the window. 

When you came to the house, Sasha’s parents were already waiting for you in the front, like always. You just said short greetings to them and went ahead inside, leaving them confused. “What happened?,” asked Sasha’s mom all concerned. “Something with one boy who didn’t say anything when she caught him kissing another girl,” Sasha answered looking at Jae, who just looked down, already having an earful from Sasha this morning, when you were still asleep.

Evening came and everyone was sitting at the backyard having fun, eating bbq. You were sitting in a far corner alone, smiling to yourself at the jokes Johnny and Sasha’s father were making. Sasha came to you, hugging you, “You okay? want to take a walk with me?,” she asked patting your thigh. “I could take a walk… but alone… I’ll be back in an hour,” you answered getting up and just saying to everyone you will be back later. When you were going down the street you heard someone running, so you turned around expecting Sasha trying to catch up with you. But it wasn’t Sasha.. it was Jaehyun. “Hey… let’s.. walk together,” he said taking your hand in his. You didn’t take your hand away, enjoying some warmth in this chilly night. While walking you stumbled against a playground with swings. You went ahead and sit on one of them, Jaehyun sitting on the other next to you. After ten minutes of just silence, you softly swinging back and forth, Jaehyun pulled your swing to him and looked in to your eyes. “Listen, Y/N, nothing happened between me and Cindy. She got on top of me right before you came in, and I thought you saw how we were arguing before that… I am sorry for making you cry,” Jaehyun said looking apologetic and having the softest look in his eyes. You looked at him confused because only Sasha knew you were crying yesterday. Then it hit you that she had to confront him, she was that type of friend. Someone made you cry, she would instantly go and literally smack them. “I mean… it’s not like you have to clarify yourself,” you said looking away. 

“No, I have to, because I have something to tell you,” he said taking your chin in his hand turning your head to back to him. “I love you Y/N. I really do, you are making me happy and making me soft. And you know how cold I was when we first met,” leaning in and looking at your lips, “I fell in love with you, baby girl, and I wonder how you didn’t see that when literally everyone saw that and teased me about it,” he chuckled. You were looking at him, all shocked hearing something like this from him, “But.. I am not your type.. and…,” you tried to look away but he still held your chin, “And what?,” he cocked eyebrow waiting for your response. “Amanda said you told your friends that I am clingy and annoying, so I thought you hated me…,” you finished looking at his nose, refusing to look in to his eyes. “Tch, that bitch. I should tell Sasha to smack her,” he answered looking to a distance for a second, then back at you. “I do love you, baby girl. And, I will make you mine,” he said with deep voice, leaning in and finally kissing you, softly. When you broke the kiss you looked at eachother, him stroking your cheek lovingly. “I...I love you too Jae. Loved you for a long time, actually.,” you said softly looking in to his eyes which were full of love only for you. 

You got up and went back to the house holding hands. You were going back to the backyard when Jaehyun pulled you back and dragged you up the stairs to your room where you were sleeping in alone. When Jaehyun closed the door you looked at him confused, “Why? They are still outside waiting for us,” you said trying to open the door, and he back hugged you tightly, whispering in your ear, “Mmmm, but I want to play with you alone baby girl,” kissing the underside of your ear. Your face flushed pink and he turned you around, smirking at your expression. He took his shirt off showing his tattooed torso and abs, “Now, now, don’t be shy, I will be careful… but only at first tho, then I won’t hold back, love,” he said while picking you up and making you hug him with legs. He put you on bed and kissed you softly.
