i personally think it'd be hilarious is godnort yote eraqus back down to the world as his teenage self and was basically like "go ahead. i feel sorry for your ignorance so i'm going to personally make sure you confront the fact that even you harbor darkness in you." and let him get hunt down by his shadow counterpart.

bonus points for ending up back with the wayfinders and everyone being stricken by just how much eraqus changed between his scala days and his land of departure stint. (i'd imagine he'd have the memories of what happened in his future but the personality of his younger self for maximum conflict.)

also gives the entire land of departure fam some interesting textures. much to reckon with.

Teyn Aande sees the certainties in the world all too clearly, but that doesn't mean she'll follow them blindly. Sometimes fighting fate is the best use of a blessing and a curse.

Hello, once again I'm bad at tagging and summaries!

This one was actually beta read on Friday but I was really tired after work and then got sick so didn't get it up. (I can barely write a summary on a good day you try making me write stuff up while sick. :'D)

Anyway, this is my favorite member of the smuggler crew, Teyn, and her starting story of how she and Adan get involved with them! I absolutely do feel bad hurting her every time I do for plot. You can see her whole fam designed over here on the Wayfinder Legacy Tumblr! She's also my Warrior's sister by accident because I gave them the same last name without realizing it, and this story explains how she ended up with the smuggler crew. At the point of this fice she's uhh... 10. By my age math with Lyute. Hence the child endangerment tag. The age just feels vague to me because I'm bad at writing kids?

I'll stop my pre-story rambles now with the last note! Title comes from "Diamond Eyes" by Shinedown. Song's actually on Lyute's playlist and that part lowkey references Teyn being lost in context of that playlist.

The Foretellers may have the most ancient arcane magic on their hands

But I like to think the wacky stuff we developed may stand at least 1 round before they kick us out of the ring.

The only probably high skills out of everyone maybe be the Foretellers, they were trained under the Master of Masters for who knows how long.

They stay in battle on the first war for... who knows how long but they were taking us like a warm up and that stays rent free in ny head

The following generation didn't got that in depth training but probsbly developed new ways to fight

And I like to be hopeful alll they acomplished to the armors are something they figured out through hard work and more.

But each generation got cut from mentors to the point our powerhouses were Sora, and by chance the wayfinder trio since they had the last connection to the last ones of that ancient legacy.

I am not counting Luxu bc we already know he is for now kinda aligned with the MoM till he picks not to. Or probably stays with him bc he misses his old fam but well who knows

And I can't stop thinking how crazy it is that the little I know of the Foretellers in combat is intimidating bc it was not a power up by darkness consuming you as you got stronger or so. It was raw skills and I wish they all got more time but show time will be soon...

Is that somewhat sadness to how much got lost in time because stuff happen.

Damn you MoM, this will not be an equal ground but damn it that I know the kiddos will find a way to turn this around.

I believe in you guys but hope u know when to make a tactical retreat 💦

Different kh trios/squads and passing around seasonal colds like:

Sorikai: Got sick because getting Sora and/or Kairi to not cuddle Riku is a herculean feat.

Wayfinder Fam: They do take precautions as they were taught by Eraqus before, but taking care of a sick person is a risk in an of itself. Even if Chirithy has offered to take care of it because, being a corporeal magical dream guardian, he is not afflicted by most diseases that affect organic creatures, and also its at least a little bit part of his job discription.

Sea-Salt Nerds: Usually the kids get it from school and then Lea and/or Isa get it from the kids. They absolutely do not blame Hayner for giving it to Roxas in the first place (liars).

RG Team(s): Job hazard. Also having your medical industry cut down to like 1 person for 10 years probably didn't help.

Daybreak Squad: That one party brought something back, and now everyone has it, including the union leaders, eventually.

If we actually got a KH cartoon I would love to see it take a bunch of notes from the manga, honestly I want to see them animate the running gag of Sora, Donald, and Goofy having to keep smiling/laughing (even when they're arguing) to keep fueling the gummiship because it Actually Does Run On Happy Faces

What about you, what would you want to see out of a KH cartoon (generic or specific)?

I honestly would love anything! But i kinda want a mini series about what the characters are doin inbetween KH3 and KH4 besides looking for Sora

Like Sea Salt fam in Twilight town, Wayfinders in LoD and Realm of Darkness, stuff happening in Radiant garden

Self indulgent KH Headcanons

- Kairi swears using 1800's slang

- Kairi wears a hood with cat ears because I quote it spites her enemies

- Kairi's singing voice is like hearing an angel from heaven

- (Crack hc) Kairi is Bi-Polar

- The Destiny Trio's braincell switches between Kairi and RIku and Sora usually gets it once in a blue moon

- Roxas used to be the holder of the braincell for the Seasalt trio now its Saix/Isa

- Aqua is the permanent holder of the braincell for Wayfinder fam after Vanitas came along

- Kairi is the oldest triplet

- Namine is a smol bean

- Xion is also a smol bean but won't hesitate to bite you if you hurt her family

- All three of them are smol beans

- Kairi has sleepovers with the rest of the princesses on friday nights they also have karaoke nights

- Kairi is a mom friend

- The Guardians Of Light have cuddle piles whenever Kairi has a depressive episode it's usually either Xion or Namine who intiates but most of the time it's Sora

- Kairi used to be an animal hoarder when she was little and still is (Riku is the only thing/person thats stopping her)

- Kairi, Namine and Xion play pokemon

- Kairi takes shit from no one

- RIku and Sora have to hold down Kairi to prevent murder from happening because it's not worth it, sometimes they release her to wreck havock on said person if it IS worth it

- Kairi is an animal magnet thanks to her Princess of Heart powers

- She can also somehow tame the following (Sharks, Snakes, Alligators, Crocodiles, Dragons, Angry cats with trust issues, Grumpy psychic bingus cats who hate humanity for sme reason and many MANY more)

- Xion brings puppies home on a daily basis

- Namine just wants to vibe with her pet cat Charlie

- Namine bleped once, half of the GoL was sent to the medical wing because of that

- Xion is surprisingly strong despite her size

Now Daybreak Academy was founded by what we know as the Foretellers and MoM you know the whole shebang

And Daybreak Academy was destroyed by a sinkhole…that opened up during classes

Yeah this is going as well as you think

So I was thinking of Angel Beats when thinking of this which lead to the Player being fatally wounded but keeping the students alive but then dying from their wounds a little bit before they were rescued (Yes they saved Xehanort’s grandparent that's your connection here)

And then basically all of the surviving students scattered to the winds after being rescued (That's when the news coined the term Dandelions)

Ephemer comes back a few years later and has Scala University built upon the filled sinkhole and becomes the first headmaster

And ironically enough Xehanort ends up going to school there

(Dark, yeah but hundreds of kids died in the main timeline at least in this one they mostly survive)

NEXT TIME: Probably the next plot bunny that involves the Wayfinders

(I'm unintentionally doing world building and I don't know how I feel about that)

(No, for the purposes of not causing continuity snarls none of the union leaders save Ephie were here)

(Actually, going to school on a glorified tomb and having your friends die would certainly give you a feeling of you know what I'm gonna cheat death)

(Now I'm just thinking of all the lore that's going on in the background while Riku is trying to survive what is essentially The Devil Wears Prada)
