clip studio default oil paint gouache dry gouache such perfect brushes I love them I love them. 🤍 I rarely use downloaded custom brushes anymore they're too good... I never thought I'd have fun painting digitally but I feel like I'm making progress lately ^_^

What’s so funny about the bonnet thing is that y’all are fighting for how it helps all hair types but don’t even know how to use them. The reason black people can throw a bonnet on and it’ll help is bc of fairy knots; like just throwing it on with no kind of product or braiding or laying is to help with smth that can’t even happen to white hair in the same way. Ppl who say bonnets help them and just put it on their head after a ponytail or smth are lying lmao
#I know this from experience!#I started tying my hair down as recently as a few months#before that I would just put my bonnet over my fro and go#which helped with fairy knots at the top of my hair! bc my 4c hair STANDS!#so those ends tangle but thx to the bonnet they don’t move as much#are u seeing why bundling up ur hair and just stuffing it into a bonnet doesn’t provide the same for yt ppl!#it’s why y’all are recommended silk pillowcases over bonnets#bc the type of protection u think ur hair would get from a bonnet would come from that pillowcase#furthermore a pillowcase would do better if ur hair is longer bc ur not bunching it all up#it’s craaaazy#yknow what I’ll even stop saying black and white#I’ll say naturally (emphasis on natural) curly vs straight#hell I’ll say naturally curly vs wavy#CAUSE YALL HAVE FORGOTTEN WHAT WAVY HAIR IS#ur hair is not curly bc it’s not pin straight to ur ass SRRY!#connotative definitions are what drives these convos

I met a lovely bumblebee a few days ago ( ◜‿◝ )♡

when characters have poofy messy but otherwise straight hair, i like to headcanon that their hair is actually naturally wavy/curly and they just don't know how to/don't care to take proper care of it. bc irl that is often the case (speaking from personal experience)
#eliot posts#*looks back at my younger self who didn't know their hair was wavy just thought it was Bad*#i was fuckin. walking around with hair poofed up like a mix between a founding father and a startled cat#and with a halo of frizz at all times#older relatives would call it nappy or ratty and suggest i cut it off or get a relaxer treatment done on it#(sidenote a bit ago i learned that apparently ''nappy'' is usually a racialized term tho i myself am white)#fascinating that they knew that straightening treatments would ''fix'' my hair but did not actually know my hair was wavy#i wore my hair real long back then too so it was constantly tangled lol#memories of being a kid and my dad having to basically corner me to brush my hair in the morning before school#my mother would bitch about my hair being too long when i was a kid and sometimes TRICK ME into getting it cut shoulder length#but then when i was an older teen and wanted it cut real short she FORBADE ME from going any shorter than a bob???#so i just left it super long til i moved out and then chopped it all off and sold it to a wigmaker for a $300 profit lmao#now that it's short tho the wave pattern is very minimal#part bc of the way i style it part bc it's just a 2b wave pattern so you need a bit of length before the waves start getting really defined#anyway like. looks at catra and eda. let me get u some good conditioner and a wide toothed comb bby

i just feel like she has a certain cuteness to her and also a bird-like look that i just couldn't get right in the normal dd2 human creator... but i feel like her beastren version captures her essence SO WELL so i'm kind of over the moon. BUT I FORGOT HER SCAR HOLD ON i have to fix this

oh my god i think my hair has actually been like kinda curly or maybe wavy this whole time ive been describing it as straight but i think i might have been wrong
