happy to report I've discovered a new gundam guy who I want to shove into the nearest trash can. look at this fucker. this is his first appearance in the show. who enters a show like this. thank god finally a worthy successor to Char himself.

For Victory Gundam, I believe a total of 7 characters end up piloting Gundams (Uso, Marbet Fingerhat, Oliver, and 4 of the Shrike Team) of whom only 2 survive, for a survival rate of 28.57%.

For Gundam X, there are 11 Gundams (X, X Divider, Double X, Airmaster, Leopard, Virsago, Ashtaron, and the upgrades to the previous four) and 6/6 pilots survive, a 100% success rate.

For Turn A Gundam, there's only 1 Gundam, and it's pilot survives, a 100% success rate.

In total, this makes a survival ratio of 94/152, slightly increasing the survival rate to 61.84%.

I truly do not understand where the idea that most Gundam protagonists die came from. I’ve even seen self-proclaimed fans warn newcomers that almost every Gundam protagonist dies, when that is patently not true!

I love characters who are so fucking entirely devoted to the person/people that they love, that they would burn the whole world down and fuck everyone else over if it meant they could just save this one person/these few people that mean so much to them; they’re so little and minuscule compared to the scale of everyone else and humanity as a whole but it doesn’t matter to the person trying to save them, all they want is to have them be safe out of pure love for them. Is that selfish? Yes, but it’s also human at it’s core. Love is the whole point of it all like actually.

I finally got around to building my birthday present to myself. :D

A very nice build. Very simple, but looking great. There were a couple of parts I wondered at, but all in all this is really an excellent kit. Definitely not a Gundam, and taking full advantage of it for the range in motions.

It's weird. I never liked the Leo much in the series. Those fat thighs always turn me off. It's the same reason I dislike the Tallgeese design, even though I seem to be the only one.

But now that I've built the little fella, he has really started growing on me. Posed right and with all proportions correct, he does look cool.

You’re in luck! For a limited time (and I unfortunately mean limited), it’s streaming with English subtitles on GundamInfo!

This series is absolutely everything. It’s an absolute lightning in a bottle collaboration of dozens of anime’s best talents at the peak of their work. It’s beautiful, it’s bizarre, it’s the last remnant of cel animation (one of the absolute last shows to be animated that way), it’s hopeful and heartbreaking. Please, if you’re at all interested, give it a try. Make it through a few episodes and see if the weirdest and most delightful of the Gundam series might be for you. It’s my favorite for a reason.

After finishing a season of a show, I’m normally able to jump into the next one pretty easily, but IBO got so intense at the end of season 1 I’mma need a minute before I hop into season 2.

It was good! Just harrowing as fuck and I need time to recover before I brave what season 2 has in store for me.

I rewatched Gundam Wing the past few days and Boy! I realized I sure did Not comprehend it when I first watched it at 12 years old. It's also interesting to compare who my faves were as a kid and who ended being my faves now.
