Kiva is in the books! It sucked!

I mean I knew it was going to suck, the reason I watched it at all was bc, to quote my friend, "you don't know how bad a kamen rider can get if you haven't seen Kiva". and yeah they were right!

The word I think best describes this train wreck is "waffling". everything takes too long, whether that be character arcs or the literal actual plot. so many scenes could have been cut with no crucial info missed.

Wataru is a terrible protag. I get that him being a massive pussy crybaby is supposed to play into his arc of "finding his own music" whatever the fuck but 1. the resolution to that arc is really quick, barely any build to it and 2. he has no other likeable traits

The best parts by far are the 1986 bits. Its clear Inoue liked writing Otoya and his band of misfit monsters more than anything and their antics are infinitely more enjoyable than the dreary dreck going in the 2008 section

2/10 those 2 points are for the Otoya/Jiro yaoiz
