HMMmmmm I'm considering doing a certificate program at my local university.

my formal education is all in illustration and evolutionary biology, whereas my writing knowledge has been mostly self-taught from reading books and thinking "hey, wouldn't it be funny if I made one of those!"

I don't think 'having a certificate' would help me in any way re: waving my education around for clout points, but it might make me understand books better. and also it'd be nice to be back in a class environment, where I might be able to make writing friends.

the cats have definitely skewed my idea of what's affordable though, because I'm looking at this like "hey, that's less than a Pangur hospitalization bill 😊"

Apologies to everyone who follows me because you’re about to be subjected to SO much Lisa Frankenstein posting, I am so deeply abnormal about this movie and I would not be surprised if it ended up being one of my top ten favorite movies of all time.

My only wish is that my theatre could have been more crowded, it was a pretty dead audience (pun intended) which meant I spent a solid 60% of my energy trying not to cause a scene every time there was a needle drop or anything that felt like it was specifically calling me out for being a weird little goth.

Been a while since my last shrimpkeeping post but I need to share these pics of a berried (aka egged up) carbon rili (black with clear/white midsection) neocaridina shrimp. One of my 1st gen tank-breds and it took a moment for me to realize the eggs are tinted blue because those are probably blue carbon rili shrimplets incubating in there.

How cool is that shit?

Anyway 90% of my brain is preoccupied with slowly putting together a 9-gal betta/shrimp cull tank. A tiny 10% is quietly and furiously simmering on the backburner over fic things and waiting for that 90% to drop so that I can start writing the next chapters of the 3quelfic.
