One of our favorite pieces of artwork depicting a part of our grand rail system is featured here on the cover of a promotional pamphlet full of activities and information for people visiting New York courtesy of us. The New York Central Building was our headquarters until the bitter end, and it is rendered beautifully here dominating park avenue. It is (illegitimately) called The Helmsley Building today. On the table of contents a banner image containing the New York Central Mercury, a streamlined 4-6-2 introduced in 1936.

Two travel posters for my Colour and 2D Design class! I had to choose two different cities and develop a colour palette related to them. I did a more garden-themed palette for Tokyo to suggest the vegetation there (especially the parks and cherry blossoms!) and a more pastel palette to reflect Miami's Art Deco architecture 🌸 ⛱️

Silver End in Essex is a group of modernist houses originally designed to house employees of the Crittall window company Artist Robert Wisdom
Silver End began its life in the 1920s as a 'model village' - dreamed up and funded by local businessman Francis Crittall, who dreamed of a pleasant village where everyone had comfortable homes, modern amenities, and access to light and space; a rebuke to the cramped slums that were ubiquitous in Britain throughout the interwar period.
To bring his vision to life, Crittall brought in celebrated architects of the modernist school, including Sir John Burnet and Thomas S. Tait. This was a true development of a village, including a department store, cinema, library, and health clinic alongside the factory and houses. A number of the houses are now Grade II listed buildings, including the star of this illustration, 'Wolverton.'
